🐾 - How would you describe the way you and your F/O move-- gracefully, fast, carefully? Does this differ between you? For cj and Dwayne

I think Dwayne stays pretty still generally, subtly fidgeting by playing with his rings. When he's in motion, he's confident. Not showy or dramatic, just unbothered and intentional. Dwayne moves in a way that commands respect without having to ask for it. Being a skateboarder too, he has really good balance and is pretty good at looking confident, even when he isn't.

Cj moves assuredly but is also horrifically clumsy. They have truly ass spacial awareness, but that doesn't stop them from committing to their movements. They have walked confidently into people before purely because they thought they had more space than was actually there. When faced with having to be still, she's awkwardly rocking from one leg to another and fidgeting with her hands. Cj is never graceful (even when trying), just sort of confidently awkward.

Whenever they walk together, Dwayne always has to overcompensate for Cj's inability to walk in a straight line. They make each other look better by holding each other's hands instead of fidgeting. I think overtime they've both sort of adapted their own confident dispositions to mask their awkwardness, and when they're alone they don't have to worry about that.

Since I did cat character designs, I figured I’d do dog character designs too :]!!

THE LORE (and pet pics) below the cut! 🐾

Scout (redbone coonhound) and CJ (beagle-basset hound) are currently reunited in doggie heaven, and Harley (coonhound) is the only dog we have with us now. She is shy around the cats but is best friends with Eda :)

CJ had been around since I was 6 and we had just moved into our current home; he lived a long and happy life chasing squirrels and rabbits. Scout was his best friend, who suffered epilepsy and paralysis of his hind legs, requiring special boots to walk. He was sadly the first to go and CJ was heartbroken; but he eventually got used to life with Harley, having also met Eda and Skrunkly in his lifetime. We got Mochi and the rest of the cats after his passing.

Harley is like a Scout 2.0 tbh; she has the same bark, same sweet tooth, and playful energy he had; she’s just a lot more whiny haha , there was a point she also suffered partial paralysis of the back legs, which thankfully she has mostly recovered from. She was a great running partner though, but we have to be careful with her and walk instead since she has a weak back. Walks are the highlight of her day tho :)

While his favorite time of day was mealtime, it wasn’t just about the snacks — it was about the after-dinner walks, where he'd stroll the boardwalk and inspect every blade of grass with thoughtful precision. And just when you’d start to think he might nap… ZOOM. Across the rug he'd go, legs flailing, heart soaring — with Beavis and CJ watching like proud siblings. Neil passed suddenly on June 4, 2021, due to a brain tumor. He left behind beds that are too quiet, a house that's a little less whimsical, and hearts that will never forget the joy he brought in such a short time. “Neil was a wonderful buddy to me the past few weeks.
