I hate that this is the case but I fear it will have to happen so long as progress must be made. Just like how a significant part in the Civil Rights Movement was the inclusion of white people, and the way support for the movement fluctuated depending on how THEY felt. We’re forced to pander to these people and coddle them like rich kids whining about poor kids are receiving “extra toys” from charity.

Feminism already disinterests a lot of men because they think the patriarchy doesn’t effect them (until “men aren’t allowed to cry😢😖”), so the constant ‘I hate men’ rhetoric in leftist and liberal spaces - often with no further elaboration - is what men, themselves, attribute their shift to the right to.

I say this because some of the hate towards men in feminist spaces is starting to be completely pointless and doesn’t do anything for either sexes. I’m referring to very specific things like commenting “MEN. MEN. MEN.” on a tiktok post where, in all fairness, nothing really culpable is happening. This sort of nonsensical comment (1) does not do or suggest anything to help women (2) makes men, and mostly foolishly impressionable young boys on that app, think that women are overreacting and/or “unfairly lumping” them all together for little reason (surprise surprise). We all know that males are extremely over-sensitive and are the type to get radicalised from a single rejection, so, unfortunately, it’s best to avoid unnecessary squabble— even if only for the beginning of the movement.

No, it is not our duty to accommodate and spoon-feed them, but I still believe that we should minimise unproductive and purposeless “hate”, because the only thing to come out of it is the deepening of an already unnecessary drift between the sexes. This isn’t to say, “guys, stop hating on men 🥺!!” It’s to say that those SPECIFICALLY futile and fatuous attempts should cease. Ironically, it’s mostly the libfems who spew senseless slop about men that always end up doing the most mental gymnastics to defend males.. whether it’s a celebrity, a rando online, or their shitty bf.

Like OP said, this obviously does NOT apply to rapists, child predators, abusers, criminals, etc etc. i beg of everyone, do not misunderstand!

Alright this is gonna be tough for alot of ya'll to hear but leftist and progressive spaces need to be more welcoming to men especially cis het white men. The more we speak bad about men the more men will go down the alt right pipeline. And obviously that's a bad thing. If we want men to be on our side we should create a space where they can also feel included because if we don't more men will go down the alt right and alpha male pipeline

I AM SPECIFICALLY TALKING ABOUT YOUNG MEN WHO HAVE NOT YET FORMED STONG POLITICAL OPINIONS AND HAVE NOT YET BEEN RADICALIZED. I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT MEN WHO RAPE AND MURDER AND TAKE AWAY HUMAN RIGHTS.
