if you’re hearing THIS YEAR (BLESSINGS) by VICTOR THOMPSON playing, you have to know ETHAN RAMOUTAR (HE/HIM; CISGENDER MAN) is near by! the 32 year old MUSICIAN has been in town for, like, ONE WEEK. they’re known to be quite DISINGENUOUS, but being FEARLESS seems to balance that out. or maybe it’s the fact that they resemble SEAN SAGAR. personally, i’d love to know more about them seeing as how they’ve got those CALLOUSED HANDS STRUMMING GUITAR STRINGS, PENCIL BEHIND THE EAR, TEASING GLINT IN HIS EYES vibes. and maybe i’ll get my chance if i hang out around RIVERSIDE long enough!

about:

the ramoutar family moved to the united states when ethan was barely three years old. so, the majority of his memories center around hemlock springs.

from a young age, it was apparent that ethan was a deeply unserious child. in fact, he was known as something of a class clown, doing anything to get a laugh.

while he didn't excel at academics, ethan was gifted in the musical arts. there wasn't an instrument that he didn't take to though his favorite was undoubtedly the drums.

so it should have come as no surprise when he announced that he wanted to study music in college. though it worried his mother (couldn't he choose something more guaranteed to grant him a secure job?) she supported the decision.

after finishing college, ethan moved to seattle where he worked as a music teacher.

while he loved the job, he felt comfortable there. almost too comfortable. so, after 5 years, ethan left to pursue his music career with his band.

that was nearly 5 years ago. the band has played some gigs and has had some modicum of success. they've even been the openers for a few house shows. they were promised a record deal but that unfortunately fell through. so, ethan is home now to wallow a bit. little does he know, though, that wallowing is the last thing being home has in store for him.
