Who: @cantfightmoonlight (Elif) Where: Poppy's apartment
Poppy wasn’t sure about Elif coming over but given everything that had happened she knew that they needed to talk, especially since they shared a dog. Adjusting her ponytail when she heard the door and she got off the couch, she walked over to the door. “Hey Elif,” She greeted with a half wave as she opened the door for the other and Luna. “Also hi baby girl.” Reaching down as she scooped up Luna and hugged her tightly. “Thanks for bringing her over.” She finally said as she snuggled her head into Luna’s fur and placed a kiss on the puppies head. Eventually sitting Luna back down on the floor as silence fell over them. “So we should talk….” She finally got out as she put her hands in her back pockets. Rocking back and forth on her balls of her feet as she tried to break the silence and talk about the elephant in the room. “You were right I shouldn’t have started shit in public. If I was feeling some type of way I should have been an adult and talked to you about it, verses whatever I did at the party.” She apologized as she looked at Elif with her blue eyes. "You at least deserved that. I'm sorry, I really am."

Poppy looked at the ticket as well with a frown on her face, she wished she could say anything or make Elif want to stay, but motivational talks were where she lacked. “Why don’t you like it here? Can I ask that?” Unsure if she had just opened a can of worms with Elif, but it was one she wanted to open to understand the why. “That’s understandable. I use to hate it here too.” She admitted quietly. “It’s been a lot better since being back— well it got better when I became supreme and when my mom died.” She admitted with a sigh. “Which it’s horrible to speak ill of the dead, but it’s true.” She was sure Alyssa would appear later just to haunt her for that comment. “You could be right.” She shrugged. “But have you given this place a real chance? Or have you only been here because Nico was?”
“I didn’t stop talking to you because the sex ended. I’m sorry that it felt that way though, I was embarrassed by my actions and I didn’t know how to fix them so I gave you space, which was clearly another misstep. But when it comes to you I don’t think I’ve ever been in sync.” Squeezing Elif’s hand before she pulled hers away and placed it back in her lap. “Also just so we are clear, that’s shitty that people do that to you. I’ve been used myself so I get the feeling. It’s unfortunate but you’re more than a good time I promise.” Reaching over as she tucked some hair behind Elif’s ear. “Yep, I’ll do you one better I’ll buy a plane ticket if you prefer.” Offering to her with a smile. “Okay. I’ll take what I can get.” Figuring it was still worth a shot. “Come on. You can drop you bags by the bar and we can go on our adventure.” She reassured as she stood up. “So tell me what’s one thing in this town you always wanted to do but never got too?”
"Yeah... well, it's why I'm not, so," Her shoulders lifted and fell into a defeated shrug as her eyes dropped back down to the one way ticket in her hand. "No," She admitted under her breath. "I've never liked it here. Honestly, I kinda hate it, actually. Not that it hasn't been somewhat growing on me, but before I came back, I didn't exactly have the best memories of this place." Not when Nico's mom had practically chased her out. "And now, it sort of feels like a fungus, I guess? Like I feel tied to it, but also like it might not be whats best for me?"
"Either way, we didn't stay friends," She mumbled under her breath as her eyes fell to Poppy's hand, not all too sure what to do with it now being there on top of hers. "You're not the only one though. Most people tend to stop talking to me when the sex inevitably ends. Whenever they fix the bus?" She blinked over at the blonde with a small shrug. Her bus was supposed to leave an hour ago, but until they got it back up and running, she was bench-bound. "Are you going to buy me a new ticket? Because if so, then... okay," She gave her a small nod at the thought. "I can give you a day."

Who: @cantfightmoonlight (Elif)
“Can you pass me the flour?” Safiye asked as she held out her hand to Elif while she looked over at the recipe. As she went to flip the page with her free hand she heard a crack. Looking forward where the crack had came from, she noticed Luna sitting on a pile of egg juice. “Umm is that our child?” Turning to look at Elif with worry. “It’s okay, we can just replace them and they’ll never know!”

Where: Anywhere
With: @cantfightmoonlight (Elif)
Poppy had heard all about Elif from Nico in passing but now that the other was actually here Poppy found her place in Nico’s life slightly threatened. Sure, he’d said they were family, but did he say that to everyone he was friends with? Had he really meant it or was it just to stop her from having a mental breakdown? While thoughts ran wild in Poppy’s head she felt a tugging at her pants leg and looked down to see a stray puppy who had clearly gotten out of the race. Bending down to pick up the puppy, she scooped it into her arms. “You know I’m more of a cat person.” She told the puppy with a laugh before scratching its head. Just as she turned to take the puppy back she was greeted with Elif’s face in front of her. “Let me guess this puppy belongs to you?” Extending her arms out to the other woman with a frown across her red lips.

Where: Lock and Key
With: Poppy + @cantfightmoonlight
Poppy adjust the bulky lock that was hanging around her neck as she continued to look for who had the matching key. As she attempted with the guy closet to her, she also noticed another familiar face about. “Hey,” Giving a wave to Elif as she pulled her lock back when it didn’t fit with the key. “Nice try tho.” She told him before patting him on the shoulder and moving away from him with the flip of her hair. “It’s nice seeing you out and about.” She hadn’t seen Elif since their last conversation that was at her place which had ended on a rather question mark of an ending. “Want to try your key? Or should I go try elsewhere?” Offering an out in case Elif wanted to take it.

Where: The Pumpkin Show
“Did I just hear that guy say he had a phobia of pumpkins?” Safiye asked, once the man had disappeared into the crowd. Looking at Elif before she took another bite of her carmel apple, she offered it to Elif for a bite. “I mean that’s one hell of a phobia to have this time of year.” She remarked with a soft laugh. “God, I love our job. What’s next a phobia of Halloween or candy?”

─── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ─── Walking over to Elif when she saw the other moving to untie her apron, she turned to look towards the clock. Noting it was the end of their shift, she signaled for Elif to give her a moment with one finger before pulling a piece of pie out of the case and carrying it over to the customer. Walking back over to Elif and she stretched at the offer. It had been ages since she’d just had a night of fun and danced. “I’m down.” Shrugging as she dropped her arms. “Unless you want to do something else? I mean we can always get a case of beer and go watch the stars, if you want a more chill night? But if you want to dance hey I’m down for Eclipse!” Offering both as a suggestion as she took off her apron and put it next to Elif’s.
"Hey," Elif called over to Saf from behind the counter as she moved to untie her apron from around her waist. "I'm about to clock out, but I was thinking," She dipped her voice a little lower after Saf had wrapped things up with the customer she had been helping. "Of heading to Eclipse tonight, if you want to join me?"

Giving a laugh at Elif’s words, she shrugged carelessly. “I just felt like I should offer you something and that’s all I could really take off in the moment.” Everything else would leave her in a similar situation to the one Elif was currently in.
“Sorry, I don’t expect you to bite everyone willy nilly, just I know a lot of startled animals bite. Hell, if I was a wolf and startled I would probably bite.” She attempted to joke, but knew that it fell flat. “Although I want to bite most things.” She added on softly, before nodding at Elif’s words. “Good to know. I won’t ever pull a tail.” The last thing she wanted was ever have a werewolf bite, given how deadly they could be to vampires. “Elif,” Sighing at the others words before she took her jacket back from the other woman. “If you want I can help you find it. I mean the blood should stick out to me even if it isn’t fresh anymore.” Offering in case Elif still wanted extra help. "That is if you want my help still?" She asked, even though she had tried to attack Ben, she would do better this time and not attack his severed leg if Elif wanted her help.
"Uh," Her eyes widened as she watched Saf try to hand her the leather jacket she had been wearing. "What is this supposed to do exactly?" She tried to stiffen a laugh as she held the coat up in front of her in confusion. She wasn't sure if Safiye wanted her to wrap it around her waist or wear it as a jacket, but either way, she'd still be free balling, so why bother?
"Okay, stereotype noted. But, no. We don't go around biting people willy nilly. That's never really been a first instinct? I mean unless you, I don't know, pull one of our tails, I think you're good," She said with an eased shrug. "I'm aware it's missing. Hence why I'm searching for it," She blinked over at Saf as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. "And? Ben wants his leg. Who am I to argue with him about it? Ben was the one who wanted to know where it went, Safiye. So, if you're done with your assumptions, I have a leg to find," She huffed, holding the jacket back out to Saf to take.

Blue eyes stared at Elif as the words sunk into her skin, she knew that Elif was right. Just because she was on the Council didn’t excuse her need to hear about it or read it. Tucking her hair behind her ear before she shrugged, she tried to just brush it all off. It was when Elif mentioned her death that she instinctively put her hand where she’d been impaled on her chest and rubbed the healed spot. It was still weird to her that there wasn’t even a mark left behind from Kyle’s attack. “Thank you for that.” She did appreciate Elif’s efforts more than she’d ever know. When Elif asked who was looking out for her Poppy opened her mouth to speak, but she honestly couldn’t think of anyone. “I don’t know okay.” She replied with frustration coming out in her voice. “I can look out for myself if need be. I’m the oldest.” She felt like it was her responsibility to watch out for her siblings and make sure they were okay.
“I don’t want to talk about it Elif. It just makes it worse.” Sighing heavily as she put her hands in her back pockets, she looked towards the other woman. “Plus isn’t it like a conflict of interest I mean we already slept together.” Poppy joked, trying to lighten the mood, but also change the subject off of her.
When Elif asked why she thought it was fucked up Poppy shrugged once more, she tried to make herself smaller as she recoiled into herself. “Because I’m on the council, Elif. I have a duty to the town and the council. It doesn’t matter that he’s my dad, he’s a dark magic witch, who has clearly harmed people.” Referencing the paper that was still near them in the recycling bin. “I don’t get to be curious as a leader.” She tried to tell herself even if her brain was racked with questions that she wanted to ask Silas. “So? I’ve never had a good relationship with Alyssa.” It was in part because growing up she hadn’t needed that relationship, but as an adult when she’d tried to mend the bridge it had already been burnt to the ground one too many times. “Because I died.” Answering bluntly and she didn’t even try to hide it. “Sure,” giving Elif the okay to ask her whatever she wanted. “Because I don’t want to relive what’s happened to me. I want to move on from it and not sit there in my feelings for days and hours trying to process it. The best thing to do is just give it time and eventually time will heal the wound.” Or at least she hoped it would heal one of the many she had.
"And? Just because you're on the Council and know of the article doesn't mean that you need to read it out loud or hear other people gossiping about it," She pointed right back. "And that right there is the problem. You died, Poppy and lost your mom and I'm not saying any of this to negate what your siblings have been through. Trust me, I get wanting to protecting them. I'm out here doing this in part for you and in part for them," and in part for Nico. She knew the moment he heard, he'd be heartbroken and hyper focused on Jas and, if there was anything she could do to take a bit of the stress off of their plates, then she would. "But, you've been through your fair deal of shit this year too. So, what about you? Whose looking after you?"
"I know you're not okay. How could you possible be? But, talking about it with someone might help. The only way you're going to be able to accept what happened to you is if you face it. Burying your problems away are only going to make them harder to cope with later on. And, why do you think that's fucked up, Poppy? He's your dad. You don't think anyone else wouldn't be curious if they were in your shoes? And okay, so you don't have the best relationship with your mom, which is understandable, but she's also still your mom and that being the last interaction the two of you had with each other couldn't have exactly been easy," She pointed out, her voice softening as she asked her, "Why do you think he came back, Poppy?", already having a feeling what the answer was herself, but she knew that if Poppy said it out loud it could likely do her some good. "Poppy, can I ask you something? Why is the idea of therapy so averse to you? And I'm not saying that to try to therapy you, but I also know that not every situation just resolves itself with time."

"Well you can eat while we talk. I’ll make you a grilled cheese and ham.” She informed her as she walked over to the kitchen and pulled out a pan. Listening to Elif talk, she put the pan down and stopped working on it. Turning on her heels as she looked at Elif. “What?” Asking with confusion dripping from her features. She had followed Elif to different jobs all over town and now one of her few friends was saying she was leaving. “Elif he would have came no matter what. You can’t put that on yourself.” Walking over to her as she took the other woman’s hands in hers and gave them a squeeze. “Well thank you for telling me, but I really don’t think you should leave. Elif you have a life here outside of Nico. Plus who cares if he doesn’t want you staying for him. Do you want to stay? That’s the question.” While she wanted to be upset with Elif for leaving her like everyone did she couldn’t add her disappointment on top of everything that Elif was already going through. “Also if it counts for anything, I want you here.”
“I always want something to eat, but Saf, I should probably tell you something first," She admitted, chewing on her bottom lip as she took a small step in. "I'm... I'm planning on leaving town. I've been thinking about it for months now and, if I had gone when I had originally thought I should, Damien might not have ever came and who knows what would have happened with..." Kitty, she couldn't even get the name out without choking up in the process. "But, that's not really the point. The point is that I came here to be close to my family only Nico doesn't want me sticking around for him and so... I just... I think I'm going to go? But, I didn't want to make any rash decisions without telling you first."

Poppy felt embarrassed by the whole interaction and wanted nothing more than for the floor to open up and swallow her. “Yeah?” Turning to look at Elif, she could feel the heat rising in her cheeks. “I’m not sure it’s a good idea Elif. I mean we kind of have history. Isn’t it like against the rules to have a therapist you’ve slept with?” Pointing out they’re history as she dropped her purse onto the floor and shut the door with a wave of her hand “Plus, you definitely bite. You should really stop lying about that.” She teased giving the other a smile, she walked over to the couch and sat down. “Do you at least have alcohol? Cause I have a feeling we’re both going to need it for this session.”
"Um, what?" Elif blinked over at Poppy in confusion. But, as Poppy turned to leave, Elif called out to her, "Wait, Poppy, it's probably too late to make it to your, um, gynecology appointment anyway and since Miss, um, Seed, didn't show, I have an hour free? Do you maybe want to come in and talk?" She offered up, motioning with a tilt of her head over to the empty couch in the office. "I promise I don't bite?"

“Yes it was.” Dilan replied bitterly. “But a sign up in my own house? I mean my name was on the door already. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to connect the that it’s the birthday girls bedroom. Plus who hooks up in strangers rooms?” Dilan asked as if it was the most simple thing in the world. “Thanks for the compliment though. I put a lot of effort into my room.” She added, but still didn’t drop her defenses. “No I’m not kidding. I’m not sleeping where people have hooked up. Especially people I don’t know.” She emphasized. “Well if you tell me who the other person is I’ll gladly give them this same attitude.” She offered, it wasn’t just Elif she was pissed at it was both of them.
Elif took the apple from Dilan without a second thought, lifting it up to her lips to take a bite only for her bottom lip to curve up slightly in regards to Dilan’s comment. “Oh, so that was your bedroom? Whoops. You may have wanted to put up a sign, but, hey, I liked the decor and excuse me?” She blinked over at the pixie before her, trying to hold back a laugh only to realize that the other girl didn’t seem to be joking. “You’re kidding right? I mean I’m sorry it was your room, but you seriously bought a new bed because of that? And whoa, okay, I think it was probably a little bit more than just me. After all it kinda takes two to tango, but you’re probably right. I’m sure there will one sometime soon and if not I can always throw one. I don’t exactly have a problem with hooking up in bed, so I’m sure you can one day return the favor?”

Poppy was moving the last of her things back into her apartment after the break up, she was carrying the last box that had some odds and ends when she heard Elif screaming. Dropping the box when she heard fire and she went running towards her. “Here give it to me.” She requested before snatching the pan out of Elif’s hand and putting her hand next to it as she started to contain the fire. Letting the fire simmer for a moment before she put it out completely, look at the overly done food in the pan. “What are you making?” She questioned curiously. “Or should I say trying to make?”Adding with a soft laugh before she realized she was still holding the pan. “Also here is your pan back. Watch cause it’s still hot.” Shifting her hand around so Elif could grab the handle from her.
@lunarcovestarters
"Yardım! Ateş! Out of my way!" She exclaimed, clutching tightly onto the handle of a burning frying pan as she ran down the street. "Fire!" She shouted out, this time in english. She had been experimenting with a new recipe she had learned from cooking class once Tatli After Dark had finally closed down. But, now, at four in morning, the bakery owner who was trying to become a good enough cook to help her resident chef and baker, was running through the streets waving around a frying pan that had been set aflame, since she hadn't been able to, for the life of her, find where their new chef had moved the fire extinguisher. She had been doing so good too. She had nailed all the basic dishes and was actually becoming quite the baker, if it wasn't for the stupid 4a flambeé recipe that had seemed to take her down. "Frying pan of doom coming through!"

Poppy knew the second the baskets were over that it was over for Elif, while she didn’t want to be upset with herself she was. Maybe if she hadn’t brought Elif or made her last day better then they wouldn’t be in this situation once more. “Hey.” Greeting Elif, she chewed on her bottom lip as the other woman told her not to be upset with herself. How could she not? If one thing was different then maybe Elif would stay, but here they were at the bus stop once more. “I didn’t” Shaking her head sadly. “I could have done more. I should have got Nico and Ronnie to talk to you or something.” Or something hung in the air around her as the weight of it all crashed down on her shoulder.
Seeing the tears in Elif’s eyes made hers start to well up with tears too, she reached over to take Elif’s hand. “I’m so sorry Elif.” She cried, not bothering to wipe the tears away as they started to stream down her face. “We didn’t, but we can pretend we did.” She forced a laugh out. “I’m going to miss you too, Elif. I really am.” Holding onto Elif’s hand tightly as if it could make her stay.
“Please don’t.” She practically begged as Elif handed over Luna too her. Having Luna meant there was still something out there keeping Elif alive in the scary world that awaited her. Unfortunately now though they both knew what it meant, which made Poppy cry harder. “Please don’t do this.” Begging Elif once more as she held onto Luna’s leash tightly. Tears fell more rapidly, she couldn’t bring herself to look at Luna. Instead focusing her blue eyes on Elif.
Breaking even more when Elif asked if she would take care of her and she nodded unable to talk. While she knew there was nothing she could do to make the other woman stay it didn’t stop her from bargaining. “Elif please, what can I do to make you stay? I’ll do anything.” Shaking her head when Elif mentioned a new bus ticket, she pulled her wallet out of her purse. “I promised you I would buy it.” Pulling out the petty cash she had and she offered to Elif. “Please take it. Let me do something for you.” Keeping her hand out with the few hundred that she had from bartending the night before. While they both knew that she couldn’t leave town, there was still a part of her that wanted to go with Elif. “Always.” Putting a hand on Elif’s waist as she pulled the other woman in for a tight hug and she held onto her. Depending on if she could truly let go. “Until we meet again.” She whispered in Elif’s hair as tears still streamed down her face and onto Elif’s hair. Knowing that likely this would be an empty promise given both their situations. “Can you please just stay one more day?” Asking sadly even though she knew the answer. "Please Elif. Don't leave. Luna needs you and... so do I."
@moonglowmagic
"Hey Stranger," Elif's lips wobbled into a soft smile. "Don't be upset with yourself, okay?" She whispered, her voice shaking with emotion as she adjusted her grip on the duffle bag. "You really gave it your all." If there was one person who had been fiercely determined to give Elif a reason to stay, it was Poppy. Throughout the entire Basket Auction, the blonde was glued to her side, fighting to find the light. Those brief moments that might make it all worthwhile to stick around, and it broke Elif's heart, to now be standing here, bag in hand, having to tell her that it hadn't been enough, but if the basket auction and the past few weeks had shown her anything, it was how one person couldn't be her whole reason for sticking around as hard as this goodbye would be.
"We-" Elif's voice broke as she moved to wipe at her eyes with the back of her hand. "We had a good run, though, didn't we? You know," She pressed her lips together. Her eyes now glassy and her smile still trembling as she promised her, "I'm really gonna miss you, Poppy Reed."
"Here," She cleared her throat as she reached out to take Poppy's hand in hers. Unraveling the other girl's fingers, she placed the end of Luna's leash into the middle of her palm, only to close Poppy's fingers back around it once more. Luna, all the while, sat there wagging her tail happily, excited to see her other 'mom', none the wiser to what was about to happen.
Elif knew Luna would be a wreck. She knew their dog would cry and sit at the door desperately waiting for Elif to return, just as she knew what would likely be in store for her when she stepped foot out of town. But with time, all wounds would heal, and with time, Luna and Poppy together would thrive. She had always been meant to be hers anyhow. "You take good care of her, won't you? And yourself, okay? She's gonna need you and," the tears were really starting to fall now as Luna blinked up at the two of them in confusion. "And I got a new bus ticket, so don't worry about the flight okay? Just, if you're ever out of town, if you ever decide to go on vacation or take a road trip something, promise you'll look me up? Maybe we'll meet at some bar and I'll convince this pretty blonde to buy me a drink, okay?" It was a nice dream. One that likely would never become a reality, but one could hope, couldn't they? That after all the shit they'd gone through, there would still be a light at the end of the tunnel? There'd still be a, "Until we meet again?"

Elena couldn’t do it anymore, it was already bad enough having Mason’s death on her conscience, but now she had pack members hating her along with half the town. As she sat in Elif’s office she just continued to sob her eyes out, unable to hold any of it anymore. “I’m fine either way, but I think she might prefer me not here.” She managed to choke out as she looked over at Kitty. Just as she finished up with one tissue she was handed another from Safiye who appeared right next to her, startling her slightly. Taking the issues from the vampire, she fixated her eyes on watching Safiye walk out rather than Kitty or Elif, hoping that just maybe the floor would finally open up and swallow her. “It’s cause I killed Mason. We all know it’s about that. I’m sorry Kitty, I know it doesn’t make it better, I do. Just— it’s all I can offer. I honestly didn’t mean too.”

"Hey, so we can chat both individually or together, whichever you guys would prefer, or if you'd rather talk to a member of our staff who isn't a wolf, then that's okay too, but I wanted to preface that this isn't mandated therapy or anything. This is just me checking in," She admitted. Her gaze shifting from Elena to Kitty as she told them softly, "I think I might know what's going on here is all and I think it might be good if you guys just hash it out? But, if you'd rather not talk, then I'm not going to force you to either. Your call, but you're both a part of the pack and, Kitty, you're my friend, so maybe we could just give it a try? What's the harm, right?"

Rather than talk for once she just let Elif speak, she found herself wanting to reach over to Elif’s hand but stayed still in her lap. “Just because you came here for him doesn’t mean that he has to be the reason to stay or leave.” Poppy replied after a long minute. “Elif I know you love Nico more than life. I do, but he’s right. He shouldn’t be the only reason you stay.” Even though she understood wanting to leave, being on the council meant that wasn’t an option for her anymore.
“You don’t just like it here? I mean, I get it’s not safe out there either or here for that matter.” Admitting honestly that this town had its flaws, even despite them she still loved this town and everything involving it. Giving a scoff at Elif’s words and she shook her head. “It’s not that we stopped fucking, it’s that I fucked it up and made it weird between us so I have you space.” She explained softly, but reached out for Elif’s hand. “I shouldn’t have pulled back and I’m sorry that you think that’s the reason we stopped hanging out. I mean the sex was well sex, but I liked you a lot Elif. I just went about it in all the wrong ways and instead of getting to know you more and communicating like a normal person instead of slut shaming you.” Sighing softly at Elif’s words and she shook her head. “Maybe don’t say bye yet. What time does you ticket leave?” She asked curiously. “Maybe give me a day to try and find something to keep you here. If I can’t well I’ll buy you a new ticket anywhere in the world you want.”
"Nico told me that he shouldn't be the reason I stay, and I don't exactly have any other reason to be here. I only came for him, so..." Her shoulders lifted and fell into another defeated shrug. "When the one thing keeping you here, isn't anymore, what's the point?"
"You say that, but I've spent the past handful of months looking for any reason to stay and I keep coming up blank." Even before Kitty's death, she had spent weeks staring at an open suitcase at the edge of her bed. She didn't leave sooner because, in truth, she had been afraid. She hadn't fared too well on her own, and she knew deep down she likely wouldn't be able to hack it. She had stayed because she was a coward, only now Kitty was dead and she found herself with even less of a reason to stick around than before. "No. We kinda stopped hanging out after we stopped fucking," She mumbled under her breath, not that she could really blame Poppy for growing distant. She knew what she was good at and why people came around her. It wasn't exactly a secret that all she was good for was a good lay. "I don't really have much to say, Poppy, outside maybe... goodbye? And that I really do what the best for you wherever life takes you too?"
