Before we open contributor applications, the mods would like to answer questions raised through responses from the Interest Check and expand upon our carrd’s guidelines/FAQ.

If you are potentially considering applying for the zine as a contributor, please take the time to look over this post and read the carrd. 

Zine’s Themes: 

For our second zine, we decided to have a centralized theme for the overall project: investigation. Solving mysteries, puzzles, and problems are key elements of Remedy games. All pieces featured within the zine will focus on these ideas. 

The Oceanview is a connecting point between the Alan Wake and Control universes. It is a place of power individuals pass through on their way to somewhere else, so it’s had many guests over the years. However, pitches for the zine do not have to feature the Oceanview, they can involve different settings featured or referenced in these games, excluding the Oldest House. 

Interest Check Feedback

During the interest check, we received several common questions we would like to address:

Can we submit pitches related to Alan Wake? 

Yes, as both Alan Wake and Control both fall under the Remedy-verse, we want the zine to have a diverse spread of content featuring characters and themes from both games. 

Are Alan Wake 2 spoilers allowed? 

The zine will release a year after the first game, so we will be allowing content featuring spoilers. All pieces with spoilers will have a warning tag in the zine’s table of contents, allowing consumers to pick and choose what content to enjoy. 

Are meta/theory-crafting pitches allowed? 

No, the zine will only be featuring fanart and fanfiction. 

What about lore related documents such as dossiers/letters/case files etc? 

Yes. As with our previous zine, in-universe documentation is welcome so long as it fits the zine’s themes and criteria. 

Can I submit something which has already been posted to social media? 

No, all contributors must submit a new, original piece of content never shared before. 

Is there any specific content which will not be allowed in the zine? 

We will not be accepting typewritten, out of context manuscript pages. If a typewritten manuscript page from Alan happens to be one part of your overall story, that’s fine. 

No pieces featuring places found within the Oldest House. As much as we love the Astral Plane, the Quarry, and the Clocks Threshold, we want the zine to feature many of the other interesting settings within this universe!

All art pieces must be polished lineart or equivalent. We will not accept sketches. 

Pitch Process 

Please do NOT submit pitches that state “I’ll draw/write anything” – these will be automatically rejected. 

Please submit three detailed pitches. Include any characters or ships featured in the piece along with the general idea. Give us the elevator pitch.  

If you’re pitching a piece featuring shipping content, please state the overall plot of the piece. The mods will not be accepting stories that do not take into account the zine’s investigative themes. 

All art pieces will need to have a background. No negative white space will be allowed. 

The mods will be trying to diversify the zine’s content through the provided pitches. Of your three pitches, the mods will select what pitch to move forward with based on the zine’s tentative content spread, so please make sure these pitches are something you are passionate about and willing to create. 

Collaboration and the Creation Process

Remedy fans are a passionate bunch. Love for these games is shown in each and every creative work. And just like Remedy collaborates to bring us these amazing games, we are looking for that same dedication for the Oceanview Guestbook zine. 

We would like each of our applicants to feel comfortable collaborating with both the mods as well as their fellow contributors. We will be encouraging contributors to share WIPs with each other through more organized check-ins to receive feedback. With each phase of the creation process, the mods will provide detailed feedback and constructive critique with each individual contributor. 

Our primary mode of communication will be through Discord. The mods will be available should contributors need any assistance, to communicate any unforeseen circumstances, or to answer questions which may arise throughout the creation process. 

Final Notes

The mods are fans of the Remedy universe and love the games. We want to talk and create with fellow fans. This project is for the community, and we can’t underscore that enough. This is why our previous and next zine are digital and free. We don’t want to hide the fanworks behind a paywall. This unofficial project is made for fans by fans as a labor of love.

five good things

Very quickly before I go to work, because I had a bugger of a day yesterday but there are good things on the horizon, and also in response to the lovely @glorf1ndel tagging me to post three things I'm excited for in April (thank you! <3333333 ), here goes:

I am GOING TO HELSINKI AGAIN at the end of the month! Japa's band has a gig on 30 April, I have it from the horse's mouth (himself on FB) that it's going ahead, and I got my passport back yesterday (having suddenly realised last week that it didn't have enough time left on it aargh and had to go to Newport to do the fast-track application thing) and booked flights and hotel yesterday evening. Now to see if the silly bugger remembers me. I think it's unlikely, as it's been over ten years since I last saw him, but he once recognised me after three years, a very radical haircut and losing my most distinctive feature after my waist-length hair (a top hat) so you never know. (this is Thing One I Am Excited For In April)

I went to see Ricky Warwick and the Fighting Hearts at their headline gig in Cardiff last Monday evening and had a marvellous time - they did a much longer set including some Thin Lizzy (Ricky sang for the revived Thin Lizzy, which turned into Black Star Riders when they started writing new music), BSR, The Almighty (Ricky's original band) and their own stuff, and it was GREAT. I managed to get Ricky and the drummer to sign the LP I bought at the first show, so now I have the full set, and I had another little catchup with Ben who is THE SWEETEST. They're touring again in September, which is looking busy already (Japa's band in Helsinki on the 19th which is v tempting, them in Bristol on the 25th, and the prize idiot in London on the 28th, and the 29th if I lose the plot any further and decide fuck it I might as well go to the second date as well seeing as I'm there...)

It's BARDUIL MONTH you guys! I am very conscious I have been extremely distracted for the last several months, but if anyone fancies helping me shake the muses into action, the prompts are here and here, please send me some! As specific as possible, and especially for my existing 'verses, as I think I might need to ease myself back in. (this is Thing Two I Am Excited For In April)

I have finished the emergency project I didn't want to do, at job number one, and although I'm likely to be called back in to help with other aspects of it, the main bit is done and I will hopefully be able to get on with what I was about to start doing SIX WEEKS AGO which is sorting out the very fragmentary and duplicated run of chief officers' management team minutes from our employing organisation and knocking it into order and getting rid of all the duplicate copies and generally making it make sense. It sounds incredibly dull but for my enormous administrative-systems nerdery it is an absolute treat and I've been itching to do it for all this time. I'm hoping to be able to get rid of a bunch of stuff we don't need to keep (duplicate copies) and get it into order and that is the most rewarding thing. Also nobody else but me is ever going to want to do it, so. I just want to be able to get on with it! (this is Thing Three I Am Excited For In April)

I only have one more day of the thing that made my day extremely trying yesterday - we are closed to the public for stocktaking and a huge team exercise this week, and we received 800 boxes of coroner's inquest files (investigations into unexplained deaths) from our records management arm on Monday, which all have to be reboxed out of their boxes and into ours. It is much more complex than it sounds, and when we got started on it yesterday it became immediately obvious that nobody had really thought through the logistics of exactly how we were going to do it, and everyone kept asking me because I have the experience. But I don't know either! Because every time we opened a new box there was some different issue! It was absolutely too complex for me and I could not handle everyone constantly asking me questions and I very nearly had a meltdown and spent the afternoon biting my tongue so as not to bite anyone's head off. I also found it impossible to concentrate while everyone was talking, as we were all working in the same room, some of them were talking to each other, some of them were talking to themselves, and I went home exhausted and upset and almost at the end of my tether. I feel much better today, however, and I am going to ask my manager if I can please please work at my desk, if I can't be excused the task, because I cannot spend another day in that room with all of them. The contents of the files are also pretty upsetting sometimes, but that doesn't really bother me - I have a stomach of steel and a heart of stone when it comes to that sort of thing - it's just the complexity of the task and the incessant fucking peopling. Anyway. One more day, and then I am at job number two tomorrow and it will be a blessed relief.

Oh yeah, and the weather is finally picking up. It's supposed to be sunny and warm all week, and if it holds, I'm going to get the bike sorted out at the weekend (battery charged, tyres inflated, general restarting-after-being-in-the-garage-all-winter)

And I finished my most recent assignment, with considerable bad grace, and handed it in at the weekend. I am very much hoping next year's course has been tested and designed better - it is the first presentation of that one as well and I am half-wondering if I should take a year off and let them work out the teething troubles on someone else. But I've done it and it's in, and now all I have to do is the end of module assignment which is a research proposal, I think. And then I shall be FREE for the summer. :D

OH YEAH and here's a bonus Thing I Am Excited For in April: the lovely Toby Jepson's band Wayward Sons are playing in our city next week! Toby was the singer for the Britrock band Little Angels in the 90s and the missus and I both love them very much, and Wayward Sons are just as good. So that's exciting!

And the prize idiot's solo album is happening in mid-May, which means new music hooray! Maybe another song will drop before then? Keeping my fingers crossed.

And I am having so much fun in angst-'verse with my friend. Things are about to get very angsty indeed. And then very fluffy, with a bit of luck. I am DETERMINED. :D :D :D

Right. That's quite enough. Time to go to work and take things out of boxes and put them into different boxes all day. Sigh. Hopefully at my own desk on my own.

After the time she has arrived in Dorne with her lover, Prince Doran Martell, their arrival from Norvos in 269AC (and prior to her departure in 290AC; whereupon she would have had her three children; Princess Arianne, Prince Quentyn, and Prince Trystane Martell.) Whilst she and Doran's relationship started off positively, a whirlwind romance, and wedded for love... cracks began to form early on between the two; often due to culture clashes. It would be said that half of their marriage, Mellario and Doran spent arguing with each other.. Regardless, Mellario remains the Princess-Consort of Dorne whilst Doran reigns.

𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐯𝐨𝐬𝐡𝐢 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐤, 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐮, 𝐈.

Mellario is a wealthy beauty, a Norvoshi noblewoman who has extended her existing wealth through the creation, and trade, of stunning silks, silk tapestries, and eventually jewellery. She owns a second property in Pentos, which is a large, white stone manse with a sprawling view of the sea that she vacations at frequently. Mellario travels on occasion to Westeros to visit removed kin who have relocated to the region of Dorne. As a result of these visits, she has also expanded her business network. Though Norvos is involved in trade with Lorath, they rarely trade with the Seven Kingdoms; giving Mellario a particular advantage over the market.   This verse is applicable to all other ASOIAF timelines.

𝐀 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐲, 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐮, 𝐈.

Mellario did come across the sea intending to wed the Prince of Dorne, but Doran and she wouldn't remain lovers for long. He subsequently fell in love with, and wed, the noble Norvishi handmaiden who was at the side of Mellario. Consequently, she feuded bitterly with Doran and, out of spite, remained in Dorne. Mellario purchased land, constructed her own manse, and eventually became sexually involved, as well as friends, with Prince Oberyn Martell; also out of spite and hedonism. Mellario will occasionally travel to the Free Cities and converses frequently with her family in Norvos. In Westeros she also assists as an envoy and representative, when needed, for her siblings in their silk trading business.     This AU is set in post-Robert's Rebelion Era.

Personality: Angela is a protector at heart. She's a selfless person who has a bad habit of making reckless decisions when seeing another in danger, but she's been working on it. She's headstrong and won't take things sitting down. Her attitude is often "If you're not with me, then I'm gonna argue my point. And if that doesn't work, you better get out of my way before I make you."

When Angela makes mistakes, she will often dwell on them until she does something that she thinks fixes them. If she can't, she'll never let them go.

Many consider her to be too serious and lacking a sense of humor, but she only breaks out her relaxed side and dry jokes around friends.

Angela grew up in Harvardville, Illinois in the U.S.A. She joined their police force in her early twenties. Once, she plunged into a river to try and save a child but had to be rescued by three others who got injured in the process. Angela felt like garbage until receiving advice from her older brother Curtis, which then inspired her to work even harder. She ended up joining the S.R.T. shortly before the Raccoon City Incident occurred. Curtis lost his wife and child during it. He moved to Harvardville, becoming an activist against bioterrorism, and later gained a reputation as a local drunkard. Angela's relationship with him became strained before he disappeared. In July of 2005, the non-governmental human rights agency known as TerraSave launched a report against the pharmaceutical company WilPharma. It included photos of an alleged unethical clinical trial of the T-virus in India. After seeing it, Angela realized Curtis' claims that WP would turn into the next Umbrella held water. She began her own private investigation, which was interrupted months later by the Harvardville Airport Incident.

Verses:

Always wanting to do better. (Pre-Degeneration) – Can take place anywhere between 1999 and November of 2005. Angela is working in the S.R.T. and her brother has moved to Harvardville following the Raccoon City Incident.

I'll find him. Watch me. (Degeneration) – Follows the events of Resident Evil: Degeneration in October of 2005. The S.R.T. and the army are called in after Angela's brother unleashed the T-Virus in an airport. She decides to try and find him, which leads her to one of WilPharma's research facilities. Someone on the inside had supplied Curtis with viruses and he intends to cause more damage with them to make his point.

I'm taking another dive. (Post-Degeneration) – Angela has taken to supporting various anti-bioterrorism organizations, but she hasn't been sent to help handle any outbreaks since WP's downfall. However, that can change upon meeting your muse. Or she could simply run into/or meet up with them for something simple.

We couldn't stop it. (Resident Evil movieverse) – The incident in the airport happens in 2002 not because of Curtis' doing but because the virus has escaped Raccoon City. Although it's contained there, Curtis keeps saying it will be back. It is. Quickly. It consumes the town and the rest of the world.

Brad: The following is mostly for your information---

Brad: The public relations department has relayed to me that during the next month, Helios∞Channel will be used to hold a campaign to inform the citizens about the dangers of substance.

Brad: Which means us heroes will have to use our respective accounts to post alert messages regarding said substance.

Brad: And until the campaign starts, they’d like for us to post on Helios∞Channel on a day to day basis to garner interest from the citizens.

Brad: This is also applicable to the rookies, each team will have to inform them about it.

Brad: That’s all for the mentor meeting. You’re all dismissed.

Keith: Whew~ Finally done ‘n over~ I’mma leave it here with work too for today

LGC’S 3RD ANNIVERSARY ( PART 3 )

on TUESDAY morning, the lgc muses head to their second class of the day which is called PEOPLES, CULTURES, AND ENVIRONMENTS. the class it taught by SEO YEWON ( who in the lgc verse is crystallis’ manager ) and after all of the students are seated, YEWON turns on her projector to begin her lesson on lgc’s geography.

after describing in detail the five continents from the lgc webtoon, YEWON hands each of the students a sheet of paper. “for this assignment, i want you to answer one of the prompts. if you answer it correctly, you will be allowed to leave early.” YEWON tells the students after she’s done handing the paper to the last student.

and just like all of the students, they read the written prompts to themselves.

for this class, we decided to ask all of you for some help with our webtoon! there are details about the webtoon that are left blank and we are hoping to make this a collaborative experience for everyone.

the FIRST prompt is to help name the 5 continents in the webtoon! since each of the continents represent the respective groups ( type zero, versus, agito, fabula, and crystallis ) we are hoping that the names would somehow reflect those said groups. if you want information about how the continents look like, you can refer over HERE to the webtoon document for information!

FABULA & CRYSTALLIS ( who weren’t in project origin ): DANBI, SOYOUN, JAEHWA, YURA, and EUNHYE were a part of lgc’s musical; PROJECT ORIGINS – THE BEGINNINGS. during that time, they were requested by the staff to create a character that would represent their ideal public persona. just like them, describe the character that would be portrayed in the webtoon. do take into consideration that in the webtoon, the girls were introduced in the webtoon as knights but webtoon lore wise, all of the knights start off as squires and if they pass a test ( the irl equivalent of that would be debuting ) they will become knights.

Just a Taste – Chapter One

Summary: Being asked to take a blood test just to work at a merchandise booth should have been the first read flag for you. But you just gave them a sample of your blood in exchange for a very much needed paycheck and a summer job during BTS’ world tour. After the youngest member of the popular kpop band finds himself in a difficult situation, you come to realize that this wasn’t the last time you shed blood for your idols. or: You becomes the new donor for seven bloodthirsty idols, who seem to be way too interested in their new food source.

“What do you mean ‘all the bags are gone’?”

Your supervisor does not look amused. The girl with an abnormal amount of glitter on her face does not look amused. Hell, even you don’t look amused. The stadium hasn’t even begun to let the fans in and your merch booth ran out of the official “speak yourself”-bag ten minutes ago.

This job is in the top three most gruesome things you had to do for money. But money was tight, and you didn’t want to survive another summer on ramen and cheap wine. The job ad was harmless at first glance. Just another sales job. But they promised good pay and international traveling, which was enough to let your eyes linger. There was no company mentioned, just a post box.

It shouldn’t have come as a surprise when BigHit responded to your application a week later. With Bangtan’s rising popularity and the massive size of their tour, extra staff had to be hired. Still, the ARMY in you couldn’t contain her excitement. This was a big deal for you. Touring with one of your favorite kpop bands, traveling to Japan and getting first dips on all the merchandise? This was a no brainer. Hell, you would have even paid them to tag along. So you dressed to impress when you attended the interview, keeping your giddiness locked behind a professional smile.

“You want what?”, you ask – disbelieve coloring your voice.

“A blood test”, the interviewer repeats nonchalantly without looking up from her questionnaire.

Was this normal procedure? You had only ever worked in your aunt’s bookstore during senior year of high school and at a fast food place all through undergrad. Neither asked for your freaking bloodline.

“What? Do you discriminate certain blood types?”, you say in mock humor. A laugh disguised as a cough rings through the room, as the cute guy in the back of the room tries to hide his amusement. His eyes are locked on your features.

“We just want to make sure all our employees are healthy. You’ll be travelling to a foreign country, working long hours.”, the woman in front of you replies, ignoring your bad attempt at a joke. She continues: “You don’t have to – of course.”

“But then I won’t be asked back for a second interview, am I right?”

The woman looks you in the eyes for the first time since entering the room. She doesn’t look as evil as she sounds. “No”

So, you guess you’ll leave with a bit less body fluid than you anticipated.

There wasn’t a second interview. The test results came with a pre-signed contract.

“What the fuck is up with this boy today?”, Joo-Won swears as his eyes are glued to the screen in front of you. Your shift is officially over. Most of the merchandise is packed up, all the sold-out item IDs are sent to the head quarter and you already got a notification that the next delivery will be arriving first thing tomorrow morning. Now you’re sitting together with some crew members, a half-finished soju bottle in your hand and an empty carton of take-out on your lap. The guy at your job interview turned out to be quite fun.

Joo-Won introduced himself during the briefing on your first day in Japan. He is responsible for the ARMY Bomb stands, which seems to be a very big deal around here. This is his third tour with Bangtan and he seems to know nearly every henchmen in this operation. So it came to no surprise when a stage assistant invited you both to watch the concert from one of the twelve monitors backstage. Of course, you didn’t look too out of place with your name badge and the Love Yourself-hoodie you may or may not have purchased with your employee discount.

The stage assistant, whose name you can’t remember, is fuzzing with screen number five as you take another sip of your afterwork drink. You stare not really focusing on anything. Just blank nothingness.

“You did see this as well, right _______?”, Joo-Won asks breathlessly.

You can only nod. The Fake Love performance just ended. And even though all seven idols were on fire, the youngest was just out of control.

“What did we just see?”, the boy continues.

“Rudeness”, you answer and empty the bottle with a hefty swing. You knew Jungkook would lift his shirt. You were prepared as you had seen their comeback stage more times than you’d be comfortable to admit. This was not news to you. But the aggression in his stare, how dark he growled his verses, the hard edges on his mouth, not even hinting a friendly smile, was making you uncomfortable.

Before your new friend can respond his headset beeped. Joo-Won answer, his eyes still on the screen.

“Yeah?” After a beat his eyes flash to you. You squirm uncomfortably in your seat.

“_________ is with me”, he says and you need a second to register your role in the conversation.

Joo-Won’s stare lingers on your face – a silent question in his eyes.

“Sure, sir. I’ll bring her to you right away.” Then he ends the call sifting, so your knees are brushing against one another.

“Care to explain, why Bangtan’s prime management wants to speak with you, _______?”, your friend asks, no judgement in his voice. What?

“So, I have to sign another NDA?”, you ask the manager in front of you, trying to swallow your nervousness. This is the Sejin, Bangtan’s right hand advisor. Every fan knows him from countless Bangtan Bombs and can easily recognize the fathering care in his work.

“This one… is more specific”, he explains and moves the stack of papers to you. You try to calm your excited fingers as you grab at the legal document, flipping through it.

“And it’s time sensitive”, Sejin adds and searches your eyes for attention. You give it to him.

“Time sensitive?” The papers abandoned on the table. “Is something wrong with the boys?”

There will come a time and place when you reflect on the choice of calling these men “the boys” as if they were your closest friends. But it’s not today. Today you just see a glint in his eyes.

“Yes, it’s Jungkookie”, Sejin starts and your memories flash to their concert an hour prior. How Joo-Won and you both discussed how beastly the youngest looked – how aggressive.

“Wh-what?”, you answer in question. The manager’s hands move on top of yours.

“He is ill and … you might be able to help him. We can’t transport him. And we are not sure he’ll survive an ambulance ride.”

Your brain blanks as you stand up in a swift move. This is simple: One of your most cherished idols is ill and his trustworthy manager tells you that you’ll be able to help. This is a no brainer.

“Take me to him”, you order, not even caring that Sejin’s words are not making any sense. How can a twenty-four-year-old college dropout help the golden maknae? What even is his illness?

Sejin’s smile should have been another red flag. “Slow down, _________”, he sooths and moves around the table so he is standing in front of you. “This is important. You have to sign the documents. You’ll have to transfuse blood to him.” He is handling you a pen. “There are health risks. This isn’t … the most optimal environment for a blood donation.”

Jungkook needs your blood – memories of your job interview come back.

You sign the contract, not even reading all the small-printed clauses on the pages. Before the ink is even dry, Sejin is moving you through a long corridor. His hand rests on your neck – squeezing reassuringly. A glimmer travels across your body and you try to ground yourself. Of course you are nervous. This is reasonable. You’ll donate blood to one of your favorite idols. Maybe you’ll see him, when he gets better. Hell, maybe he’ll even thank you in person! Meeting Bangtan is the closest form to aspiration you have at the moment.

“When is the nurse coming?”, you question the logistics as you move towards the farthest door labeled “BTS”.

“Which nurse?” You look at Sejin in surprise – if not a nurse, who’ll take your blood?

“Then a doctor?”, you ask and Sejin shakes his head, a humorless chuckle escaping him while you both come to a halt in front of the door.

“There is… no time I’m afraid”, he answers – with remorse in his voice. There is a sinking feeling in your stomach, some of the fog lifted. How the hell should you give Jungkook your blood if there is not even a transfusion station here?

Sejin knocks at the door, ignoring your thumbing heartbeat and opens the door, softly pushing you into the room. “I’ll explain everything; I promise.”

The starving vampire smells your sweet blood as soon as the door opens – Sejin a mere decoration in his vision. Jungkook’s whole body turns towards you while your eyes nervously shift across the room. Time slows down as the maknae swiftly moves straight to you. His muscles ache and he cannot even recognize his swallow breathing. His stare is fixed on the nap of your neck – deliciously soft, milky. Not even the slightest imperfection in this human before him.

You do not even sense Namjoon’s and Seokjin’s presence as your eyes take in the predator advancing towards you. The older ones seem frozen as their youngest stops just a breath away from you. You look mouthwatering – clad in one of their merchandise hoodies, hair pinned in a mess at the top of your head, some bold eye make-up, but otherwise barefaced. You look… just right.

Before Jungkook’s grin spreads across his face, Jin takes action – trying to move between the sarved vampire and this … girl. What the hell was Sejin thinking just throwing her in here? Did he want this human dead so badly?

But the oldest is too late – Jungkook growls aggressively as he snatches you against his firm chest. All the air leaves your lungs – your breasts pressed painfully against solid muscle.

“Ahh”, you groan. As soon as the noise leaves your mouth, his lips descend against the white of your neck. The maknae hisses in pleasure; and then he is biting – hard.

Your scream misses the volume and you feel tears on your cheeks as you gaze into Seokjin’s overwhelmed eyes – hands outstretched.

Blood flows freely into Jungkook’s mouth and you hear a sickening slurping sound. The pain is blazing against your skin, every fiber of your body vehemently trying to get away from the maknae. But your fingers don’t push him away. No, the curl around his biceps – acting against every rational though inside your brain. You cling to the man sucking your blood as if he’s merely leaving a love bite.

The pain in your body slowly ebbs and you feel a bright bliss surrounding you. You’re not even sure if you are still standing at the door. There is no room – just lips against your neck and whimpers in your throat… and Namjoon’s voice far, far away.

“Jungkook stop now.”

“This is an order.”

“Jin, help me.”

“Let’s lay her down.”

“Is there a pulse?”

“How do you take your coffee?”, Yoongi asks while starring at you with such indifference in his eyes you’re not sure your answer even matters.

“Uhm- I” His sigh interrupts you as he makes his way from the couch across form you to the kitchenette. The whole room is dimmed in a soft light, the furniture a clean white. You feel your head spin as you try to recall what happened. Weren’t you backstage? Didn’t Jun-

“Jungkook”, your voice more of an accusation than a whisper. Yoongi’s back stiffens, but he continues to brew hot water over a ceramic filter and soon a soothing smell of coffee drifts towards you on the white leather.

“Jungkook sucked m-y – he su”

“-cked your blood. Damn girl, how hard did you hit your head when you fainted?”, your favorite rapper asks – his body finally turned towards you.

Slow, leisure steps are taken and then he sits in front of you, taking you all in. You must look like a mess; grease and sweat from your shift in the booth, plus the incident with the youngest vocalist in the band. All the blood. Your stomach turns around uncomfortably.

Yoongi is looking into your eyes and for a split second you see something other than complete boredom behind his stare, but as soon as you try to pinpoint the emotion, it vanishes.

“That’s what vampire do”, he continues and you heart reacts before the triggering word even registers in your brain. Vampire. No way.

“Go-ood one, Yoongi-ssi. This… this isn’t – some romance novel for teenagers”, you scoff, disbelieve in your voice while your heart beats hard against your chest. Without missing a beat, the idol is in your face – literally just millimeters away. The air is stuck in your lungs as you try to calm yourself.

“You know what I hate, dumb human?”

His fingers draw lines across your face – just a feathering touch, barely more than an illusion. You can only shake your head; afraid your voice will give out if you try to answer verbally.

His face moves down to your neck as his hands frame your face – no longer brushing but locking your head into place. Then his mouth dives into your neck, just resting against your pulse. You can feel the sinister smile against your skin as you shiver.

“Talking to dumb people”, his lips vibrate and you feel goosebumps traveling across your body.

“You have all the proof, but your silly little brain still doesn’t – connect the pieces”, Yoongi trails small kisses across your collarbone; a stark contrast to his insulting words.

“Do you really think our little maknae just has a blood kink?”

He moves to the other side of your neck, while titling your head forcefully to the left. You can’t move your body – muscles frozen into place. You’re just passively… enduring what your favorite idol does to you. Now his teeth are grazing your right earlobe, as his voice drops another octave into a threatening growl.

“That we just hire a college dropout because of her work ethics?”

His words hurt, but you’re more concerned with the information behind them. They know about you, must have read your file. Shame colors your cheeks and Yoongi’s nose inhales deeply against the red of your skin.

“You smell fucking delicious”, he moans and places an open mouth kiss against your rosé cheek. You can feel his saliva on your skin and a whimper of your own escapes your throat.

“You like that, dumb human? Knowing I’d love… nothing more than to bite in your flesh? Drain you dry?”, he slurs. You both know that this is nothing more than a rhetorical question – your heart, your breathing and the wetness between your tights enough evidence.

But before he can act on his words, a searing pain flashes through your brain.

“Argh”, you groan pressing your head against his cold hands with virgo. The dead skin of his fingertips sooths the throbbing in your brain temporarily. But he knows that your time is nearing its end.

“Human, listen to me”, he whispers, his previously threatening tone making place for urgent whisper.

“When you wake up” What? His hands still a vise to keep you grounded, while the pain in your head expands to your whole body. “Damn human, focus!”

He searches your eyes for recognition, but your stare moves around the room – now noticing how alien the light looks, how… clean the colors are. Is this? Are you still sleeping? How?

“When you wake up”, Yoongi’s voice nothing more than a vibrating hum in your ears, “Say no to Namjoon.”

Now he is shaking you. “Say no”

“Good morning, sleepyhead”, Namjoon says after you open your eyes – the morning sun blinding you momentarily.

“I made you coffee”, he adds as he pushes a steaming mug in your hands. The familiar smell takes you back to your dream, to Yoongi, his words, his plea – and you gape at the leader in front of you.

“I thought we could talk?”

welcome to stars hollow ! population: 3,578. 

filled with antique shops, small business, local schools, town government and tons of charm this town is a perfect spot to welcome winter. with festivals, town hall meetings, fundraisers all being key functions to this humble abode. two inn’s, one diner, and restaurants that take you on culinary adventures we are sure to make you feel at home. 

mandatory attendance for: town hall meetings, dance a thons, bid on a basket, end of summer madness festival, revolutionary war reenactments, knit a thons, movies in the square, founders firelight festival, and spring fling to name a few.

- must be posting once every three days, either in discord or tumblr. must at least write on tumblr thread three times a week. 

- must attend town events / write threads about them if unable to attend. events will be all day to make things fair for different time zones. 

- must interact and write with all townsfolk. this group is for all kinds of plots ( romantic, friendly, family, enemies, etc. ) if you are only writing a romantic plot, you will be asked to write with others and or leave. i really don’t want to make a lot of rules but i want this to be a safe, fun place for all of us to write some fun plots with our muses.

- must both use discord threads / group as well as write threads on tumblr. this is a personal preference but i enjoy a mix of discord and tumblr so that’s how i am doing this group.

- please do not request to use people who are dead, people who are from gilmore girls show, people who had asked to not be used, etc. if you have any questions about fc’s, come to me. also to start, only two muses per mun. may expand that as we go along.

general

attends MIT & has designed his own interdisciplinary major to include interactive entertainment & programming. He could either use this towards developing video games or full on becoming the game master for the Hunger Games or Squid Game, & he hasn’t publicly determined which of those options is more appealing. He’s alternately considered software applications development, but he gets bored.

his intention is to take an extra year & go for a Masters of Engineering through MIT’s MEng program, but he’s also mixed in significant courses from Course 9: Brain & Cognitive Science.

most of his physical fitness used to meet MIT’s PE requirement is centered around **swimming & sailing **(clocking time in the school’s hall of fame for his time on the varsity sailing team), given his significant osteonecrosis, but he has also taken one unit of yoga & won’t take comments on it at this time. he has also taken at least one unit with pistols, meaning he has definitely completed the requirements for MIT’s pirate certificate.

he has also done parkour for credit despite the fact he was advised by everyone, including his own common sense, that it was a bad idea given his leg. he did not care then, he does not care now, he’d do it all over again.

going off of his sailing proficiency, he’s able to take the Lynx catboats out for both moonlight sails & harbor trips.

fraternity - Crow Club

he’s part of a fraternity, jokingly (& more commonly referred to than it’s greek name) nicknamed The Dregs  for it’s less than stellar reputation at the time of his joining as when he rushed, it hadn’t been anything overly significant in some time. now that’s he’s set to graduate, it’s one of the most highly sought after during rush week for both the renovated housing, & its reputation for taking members who go on to be placed prominently after graduation.

under Kaz’s leadership, it’s slowly become known as the crow club instead.

it takes both men & women, a major change that came under Kaz, but made possible by the acquisition & subsequent relocation to their new house in his second year after some very aggressive grants & solicitations for alumni donations.

the new frat house location is seven minutes from campus, & just south of Central Square, putting it a 7-10 minute walk to campus with downtown Boston not being too much further via bike or even walking. all of the rooms in the fraternity are singles (a rarity on campus), & the fraternity provide a 75% subsidy for permanent additions such as shelving or paint for individual room adjustments.

there are only 38 rooms, spread over four floors of one to three halls per floor & around four rooms per hall. each hall has its own newly-renovated bathroom, & each floor has a large lounge. There’s also a basement workshop that all of them spend significant time in, especially during crunch week.

osteonecrosis

Kaz has already undergone core decompression for his leg, & while he does have non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication for it, his osteonecrosis is most certainly headed towards needed surgery, which will likely take the form of a vascularized bone graft with a minimum of a 3 month recovery time, complicated by the fact he smokes & will have to absolutely quit & reduce his physical activity during this time period significantly.

regardless of him getting the surgery or not, he will be permanently disabled & have significantly reduced mobility without his cane after a point - this is non-negotiable & will not be plotted around or written out in any verse.

A vlog involving one idol interviewing another on their career, life, etc. in a professional tone. See here for an example of tone, though not in a podcast setting.

Must be completed as a thread of at least eight posts. The interviewer is the only muse that collects points, so the interviewee must do a separate thread interviewing someone to collect points.

PRACTICAL JOKE (#fmdbaseonline1.2)

A vlog involving one idol doing a hidden camera prank or playing a practical joke on another idol. This can be a short, minor prank or a more elaborate one as long as it doesn’t provoke a reaction that is damaging to either idol’s image.

Must be completed as a thread of at least eight posts. Both the muse pranking and the muse being pranked may collect points.

COVER  (#fmdbaseonline1.3)

A video covering a solo or duet song of the muse’s choice filmed on a stage set (all muses will film on the same set) with some minor lighting design, basic set options, and the option of live accompaniment (example). This can be singing, rapping, dancing, and/or instrumental but should reflect a muse’s group positions/soloist focuses (if applicable). If you use a reference, please avoid covers released on streaming sites or to channels claimable on the points blog (ex. Studio Choom, Dingo, Muply) and be aware that reference will not be officially claimed (i.e. someone else can use the same reference).

“CURATED PLAYLIST” (#fmdbaseonline1.6)

For this video, the muse will create a playlist of their choice of approximately one hour in length. They will then work with the production team to choose a location fitting the mood of the playlist that they will be filmed in as the playlist plays. The location should be fairly simple to access and film at without a large budget, and allow for the placement of stationary cameras. What the muse does during the filming should be simple, background types of activities that won’t distract the listener/watcher, such as taking photos, doing art, writing, eating, driving, reading, working out, cooking, etc. Examples here, here, and here (more examples on the same channel, but note that something like smoking for the video would not be allowed as idol image should be maintained).

Must be completed as a playlist of around one hour in length and a solo of 400+ words. The complete playlist can be included separate from the solo or the songs can be specified throughout the solo. Note: For purposes of this opportunity, the playlist is allowed to count repeat songs used in other playlists for the muse unlike normal playlists for points. A separate explanation of the playlist is not required.

A livestream giving advice to fans who send in situations and questions they need advice on.

HOW-TO LIVE  (#fmdbaseonline2.2)

A livestream where one muse teaches another muse how to do something they know how to do well, but the other muse doesn’t. This can have either a comedic or serious tone.

CHOICE LIVE  (#fmdbaseonline2.3)

A livestream with a format of the idol’s choice, as long as it’s kept appropriate (ex. playing a game, baking, on the spot cover requests, dancing, etc.)

Lives can be assumed to happen whenever you date them from February 2021 onward. Pre-filmed content can be assumed to go up on base Online sometime from February 2021 onward, from two weeks to six months after it was filmed depending on the amount of tasks completed on one muse dated around the same time.

Keep in mind that all pre-filmed videos would be edited and all live videos would be supervised by management to avoid causing scandals.

Each thread completed for points should be with a different muse and these tasks cannot be completed through an open thread starter.
