With new fighters coming, it'll be hard to top that." He said. "The latest fighter wields a blade resembling a key. Can you imagine it?"

✥ | “You know, it’s hard to believe so much time has passed by since Smash began again, can you believe it?” She says, casually having a conversation with Donkey Kong, sitting quite prim and proper, even on the grass. “So many walks of life, beings and people coming together to compete in this competition, the best of the best all gathered here.”

“And now, the roster is all full, and truly everyone is here. I have to say, I’m gonna miss anticipating who else might’ve been chosen to participate, guessing who was also in, you know?”

Donkey Kong, a large lad of an ape, calmly replied to the woman and answered, "That's right. I can talk. Do not worry. As an ape, I can grunt and make noises like an actual ape. But yes. I talk like a human." He sounded pretty calm and polite. If DK encountered people, he talks. Otherwise, he'd be scaring them.

From idiots from Those Slither in the Dark and now in some weird world where her professor usually fights against different kind of beings. 

Lysithea was new to almost everything it follows let alone craters from fired weapons and lotsa mess that scattered in Garreg Mach, which isn’t Fodlan but in this weird world where fighting is common sport here.

From small pink circle creatures to talking gorillas, she wished that she has what Byleth has which is getting used to this madness. To Lysithea, it was tuesday.

“You talk like human? But how?!” Eyes surprised that she dropped Hades Omega on the floor and picked it after.

"Why of course. I would like to meet him, milady. As for the battle outside, it can get intense. I'm sure it'll be fine. No joke," said DK. As the ape has been in battle in different worlds, he had experienced it firsthand. In fact, he was one of the chosen twelve. The second between Mario and Link. Strength and speed to boot. Though, he is slow on the uptake.

“Well, yes. Of course. Are you looking for the Villagers? They must be talking with a secratary named Isabelle. Maybe,” DK answered. “I rarely conversed with them. And if I’m being honest?” The ape demostrates by scratching his head in confusion (which he does, all the time). “I’m not informed of the details.”

❝A-Ah, well, yes. I suppose so, if they’re free. Or, anyone, really. I figured that Alm and I shouldn’t so reclusive.You know, we’’ve no way of going home, so we might as well make the most of our time here!❞

Speaking of…

❝You said you’ve heard of my beloved Alm before, have you not? If I get the chance, I could properly acquaint you with him. He is a delight to be around. A bit, as people around here have said, “dorky”. Lovable nonetheless.❞ Celica seems to glow when she refers to Rigel’s prince. A bright smile lights up her face.

…And then it disappears when Celica realizes something. Oh right, she was in the SMASH Mansion. Rumor has it things break a lot here. Or not, Celica has no clue.

❝…But I’ve heard it’s rowdy around here. Really rowdy. You’ll make sure that nobody injures themselves, won’t you?❞

“It’s alright. I’m surprised, that’s all. My name is Donkey Kong. Everyone knew me as DK. Saves them the time before tongues wagged and twisted,” the ape chuckled politely. “A pleasure to make your acquaintance, Celica.” DK cleared his throat. “What can I do for you?”

❝Ah. Nothing much. I was just wondering if my brother is here, but I haven’t seen him thus far. I’m rather worried that he may be making an appearance. He swore he would fight anyone for my sake, and I appreciate that. It’s just… Well, my brother does not fool around when he has that mask of his on!❞ 

Celica laughs to herself, she’s remembering the times she spent with her brother, in and out of the battlefield. How can someone be a warrior and a nerd at the same time?   ❝Anyways, that’s enough of my ramblings. I was actually looking to meet the people I’ll be supporting here.  Alm and I are spirits, are we not? That’s LITERALLY our whole purpose, yes? As much as I hate violence, I have overheard the tournaments here are for fun and any launching that happens is completely “water under the bridge”.❞

She may have overheard Alm talk about that.

“Eh? Gah!” DK turned around, flinched when he saw an unkown being. “Goodness gracious, don’t sneak up on me like that. You scared me half to death.” He regained his composure and fixed his tie. “Say, are you the one legend who saved the world alongside the wielder of Falchion? I heard much from Robin and Lucina.”

❝A-Ah, pardon. I didn’t mean to scare you. Are you okay?❞

Ah, Celica. Ever compassionate, ever caring. The young princess stares at the ape in worry. It hadn’t been her intention to scare Donkey Kong. She didn’t even know he was there at this point. Celica apologizes, bowing her head for a mere moment as a sign of respect. She hopes DK isn’t too upset with her, if he was. Being a spirit but being… not dead(?) was really weird. It was like she could appear out of thin air and then disappear whenever she pleased. She didn’t know how the whole system worked… and frankly she didn’t like how she didn’t know how it worked.The girl takes a moment to calm her own racing heart.

And the DK asks her that question. About her being a hero and saving the world with the Falchion-barer. Unless he was referring to someone else, Celica was pretty sure DK was talking about Alm?

❝Oh…! If you’re talking about Alm as the “wielder of the Falchion”, then I guess I did. I don’t know if Alm and I saved the whole world, but I’d like to say we saved Valentia as a whole.❞ Celica hears what he had heard from… Robin and Lucina? She really wasn’t well acquainted with them, and she has to admit - she is a little bit embarrassed. The WHOLE WORLD seemed like a little bit of a overkill, yeah?  She and Alm obviously took down Duma and restored peace to Valentia, but that was mainly it?
