Butterfly PAC: What Will Your Next Falling in Love Feel Like? 🦋💕
Tumblr media
Some think love can be measured by the amount of butterflies in their tummy. Others think love can be measured in bunches of flowers, or by using the words 'for ever.' But love can only truly be measured by actions. It can be a small thing, such as peeling an orange for a person you love because you know they don't like doing it. Marian Keyes
Tumblr media
Sup y'all and welcome back to my free PAC readings! Thank you so so much for your patience with this particular post. It's been a busy week and it'll only get busier! I haven't done many love readings in the past as my readings focused solely on the querent. I decided to keep it simple and focus on that (frankly addicting) feeling of falling in love for the first time with someone.
There are four butterflies to choose from today to show you how it will feel like for you the next time you fall in love. If you're already with someone, this can represent how it feels when your partner does something truly special for you, what the right signal feels like.
As always you can choose more than one.
Pile 1, Blue Morpho Pile 2, Orange Monarch Pile 3, Red Peacock Pile 4, Emerald Swallowtail Pile 5, Purple Emperor
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Pile 1: Blue (Morpho)
XVIII Moon; Rest, Inspiration, Let it Be, 28. Blessed Sight; X Wheel of Fortune, 5 of Pentacles, XIII Death, XIV Temperance
Tumblr media
I pulled your oracle cards before your tarot, and before I did I said "this must be my Pisces pile". Then BOOM I got the Moon card dead center. You may be drawn to this pile if you have a lot or important Pisces placements, but I think it also very well describes the general energy of this pile.
Your next falling in love will be like a dream, or something that came from your dreams. Your person may remind you of someone you once met in your dreams even. It will feel as though your crush will be as a glowing light in the dark that warms you as you move forward into the unknown. If you're with someone, they could be showing up in your dreams more and more--there could even be a case of you both receiving signals about each other.
You're comfortable with letting fate be the guiding hand in you you'll meet next and what your partner will be like. Notice how in two cards we see closed eyes? One is resting, while the other is still walking to where she wants to go. There is a certain faith about this pile, you feel in your heart that the one you're seeking is out there and that you will not need to put yourself in uncomfortable situations to find them.
With this, sometimes you may falter and feel disheartened when you feel other people meeting their match while you're still watching the clouds roll by in the shape of your dreams. Fate combines both luck and change. Don't be afraid to sit back and let the process unfold before you. It doesn't mean you can expect your dream crush to come knocking on your door (although they could!), you can put yourself out there and mingle. This is an internal sense, adopt the intuition of letting the little guiding lights connect together and guide you when they are ready to.
Tumblr media
Pile 2: Orange (Monarch)
XII Hanged One; Abundance, Pause, Determination, 11. Inspiration; XI Justice, King of Cups, 3 of Swords, 10 of Wands
Tumblr media
This pile has likely had relationships in the recent past which may not have worked out. Or there were some romantic prospects where things didn't line up right. It seems like you're working on bringing yourself back into alignment where you can focus more on your personal goals in life. While there's nothing wrong with that, this question is about what it will feel like the next time you're in love. And I have to remind those who need this message that it's okay to take the time you need to recover.
But when you're finally ready to emerge back into the dating world, or if you're planning to, you will need to do so with open arms. Not the same as naïveté. Not the same as being in the same situations or patterns that didn't work out before. But you will need to push aside negative feelings telling you it won't work out again before you can move further with other singles. If you're in a relationship it's likely that your partner wants to see your emotional qualities more, they want you to open up so they can do the same. They want to work side-by-side with you and help you.
You're a strong individual when it comes to reaching your goals. With that said, it's okay to let others, specifically your next partner, help you out in areas you normally excel in. It will help loosen the tension a lot and bring ease to your abundance mindset. Support is with you and you don't need to do it alone. Let your crush carry some of the extra bags for you and help you relax. And don't think that by doing this you're somehow limiting yourself from reaching your future goals. If anything, your crush will help you move ahead. Your crush will want to see you CRUSH it in the board room. You will feel 100% backed and protected by your next love.
Also I wanted to add that when I did the reading for this pile, a little moth landed on my door's window and stared at me upside down like the Hanged One! Not a butterfly, but close enough! Moths talk about what you're intuitively drawn to, but also confusion following paths (since artificial light messes with their navigation). Let moths be your animal sign for when you're soon to meet your next love. They will help to guide you towards the better light.
Tumblr media
Pile 3: Red (Peacock)
7 of Wands; Mystery, Desire, Wisdom, 24. Heal Thyself; 3 of Pentacles, VI Lovers, Queen of Cups, 7 of Wands (x2)
Tumblr media
Pile 3, I'm glad I chose the beautiful red Peacock butterfly for your reading because this pile is incredibly bold! You got 7 of wands twice. It doesn't seem as though you're scared to stand out of the crowd to attract your next crush. Similarly, you want the same in your partner. You may be looking for someone who's strong and assertive, and maybe loves to put on a good show for people (as we have Mars in Leo here).
You could be into punk, or darker music genres. Your next love will be fiery, but won't show all their cards. They leave just enough detail for you to want to know more, I think they'd like to egg you on or tease you (but not in a mean way). This person could be way more intelligent than they may let on initially. You'll feel challenged by them, in a refreshing way. They may invite you to debate or play something competitive with them.
I think there's one thing that must be greatly noted with this pile, and that's remembering to stop and take some time for yourself. It doesn't mean stepping out of the dating scene. There's a fine line to walk between meeting someone who's very attractive at face level and the love that comes from genuine compatibility. Lovers speaks about integrating these two parts as one instead of thinking it's one or the other.
You also need to make sure to prioritize your own needs as well rather than get caught up in the heat of passion. I don't think this pile struggles at all with passion, but some emotional discretion is advised here. There could have been people surrounding past relationships who weren't really supportive of who you were with. Whether or not they were in the "right", it's left you a bit defensive over who you choose to be with. Please remember to take time away from every influence to listen to your own inner voice.
Tumblr media
Pile 4: Green (Emerald Swallowtail)
King of Pentacles; Stop, Pause, Goals, 23. Big Picture; 2 of Cups, XVII Star, XIV Temperance, 6 of Cup
Tumblr media
Oh wow, pile 4. Stop and Pause side by side, and then we have Goals on the bottom. Stopping goals! Says who?! Not you, Emerald Swallowtail, with the King of Pentacles in front. You must be a very career or school driven group. Money savvy, ambitious, and unafraid to chart unknown territory. You'll definitely be a catch for the next person you fall for.
Except it doesn't seem like you're in the mood for the dating scene at all. Not in the fun and casual sense anyway. You want someone serious and committed, right off the bat. Someone who's fiscally responsible and likely as driven as you. You want someone who comes right in, sits down, and presents themselves as a good partner as though they're interviewing for a job hoping the star will stand out of the pack. Mainly, you want to know exactly what you're in for before sticky things like emotions even enter the picture.
This pile seems similar to my pile 2. Maybe somebody in the past told you that as soon as you marry or get serious with someone, it's gonna affect your career or your stability and that sacrifices will inevitably be made. That seeking any kind of relationship is like stepping over huge boulders hoping your ankle won't fall through between the cracks. The thing is, emotions are already involved in this. Your next love will make you feel stable and secure, knowing that you don't have to push too hard to get by.
Moreover, your next love will LOVE that you're career oriented. They will not be threatened by your achievements. They can help you bring balance between the adult side of you that's disciplined and focused and the little kid in you who wants to play and explore. Your next love will help you expand beyond what you thought was possible in a relationship. You'll be half of a real power couple who can tackle anything together with forces combined.
Tumblr media
Pile 5: Purple (Emperor)
6 of Wands; Ideation, Open Heart, Hibernation, 2. Understanding; XII Hanged One, 10 of Cups, Page of Swords, 7 of Wands
Tumblr media
Hi, lovely pile 5! Your next love will simply make you feel like you're actually radiating. Notice all the little diamonds on the 6 of wands as well as the Ideation card? Your next love will feel more rare than diamonds, it will have you shining like one. There is such warmth with this pile, it's like the sense of having a good looking musician with a great smile gently guide your hand up on stage to let you be part of the show. Even if you're the shy type to stand back, your crush will rave about you enough to have you blushing. They'll root for your success even when you'd rather be modest.
I get with this pile that you may be slow to open up with new people, and that you would prefer to take your time in meeting someone serious. You may be just starting to dip your feet in the dating scene, perhaps for the first time. You're realizing that it's one thing to imagine what it'd be like to go out and meet new people, but it's another to actually do it. But I don't see any reason to worry too much here. Even if you come off as shy, people can sense the glow of your aura. You have a quiet but unabashed confidence and may attract that in your next partner as well.
If there's one thing I can advise for you, pile 5, is to avoid being over critical about who you would rather be or NOT be with. I mean overcritical about the little things. Try to avoid saying things like "I can't be with someone who chews too loud" because you could meet the love of your life where that happens to be their one and only flaw. If you allow compassion to rule here, then it will return back to you ten fold.
Your next love feels so smooth and romantic, your next crush will want to woo you. They will really go out their way to impress you and while they can be comfortable inside the house on rainy days, likely there will be chances to travel and share new experiences abroad. They'll love being with you but will work to warm you up to the wonders of life. They will yearn for your happiness, pile 5, your bliss will be their success! When your heart tells you it's safe, allow yourself to wander into a new adventure with someone who lights up your world inside and out.

L Is For Love - Pt.1 (Soulmate!Au)
A/N: I saw this idea on a Tumblr post and omg I wanted to write it so bad. This probably will turn into a short fic, and my replaced au fic will be on hold for a while cuz I need to reset my brain (I have commitment issues) Anyways, enjoy~ (Also I'm not familiar with writing gender neutral reader so if you spot a mistake please let me know!) Also it refers to furries at one point, and it isn't meant to be derogatory or anything, trust.
Pairings: Lucifer X GN!Reader, Leviathan x GN!Reader
Tumblr media
"Oh I can't believe it happening to me"
A tattoo. One simple letter, inked into your arm the day you turned 18.
What value does one sole letter hold?
Everything.
That one simple letter becomes the reason you breath, sleep, eat, live.
Some call it a scam, saying a letter can't define who your lover should be. But of course, only the ones who haven't experienced it, will judge it, no?
They say fate holds the reins, deciding who will meet who, when and why. So when you get your letter, don't stress! All will fall into place when it has to.
No one can change what is written in the stars....
Tumblr media
As the sun shone through the pastel curtains, you groaned, covering your face with your hand, still half asleep.
Suddenly, a throbbing pain shot up your hand, and you cursed, pressing into the pained area with your other hand to deviate the pain. Grumbling, you stumbled to their feet, cursing as you nearly tripped over your own dirty socks, as you opened the bedroom door. You stumbled into the bathroom, squinting at the harsh white light of the bathroom, as you heard your annoying brother shout,
"Oi! You think you can be any less louder?! What are you, King Kong?! Stop stomping around the house!"
"Shut it!", you yelled, or more like groaned, sleep clouding your voice.
Blinking quickly, you tried to make sense of your surroundings, your eyes travelling over the sickeningly white walls and countertops, with speck of black marble in them.
Another round of pain shot up your arm and you hissed, quickly running your left hand under the water. Your eyes went to your wrist to see what was making it hurt so bad.
A black mark.
You frowned. Had your idiotic brother drawn on your hand while you were fast asleep? Was that it? But upon closer inspection, you noticed a very messy letter inked into your wrist.
L
Tumblr media
"Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this"
A soulmate mark is an inscription in one's wrist, of their fated soulmate. One cannot pick his soulmate, for it is decided by fate.
You scoffed, slamming the book shut, and instantly regretting it when a plume of smoke shoots up and you cough, face red as other people sitting near you shoot you a dirty look.
You hated this library with a passion. You loved reading, yes, but this library sucked. It made it seem as if talking was a crime, and dropping a book, a sin.
Grunting, you grabbed the heavy book and lugged it back to its original spot, because god forbid you placed the book in those bright yellow plastic carts. Even though they were made and placed for the very reason that you could place books in there instead of heaving them back to their original spot, you'd much rather commit arson that use the cart. It was for show anyways.
As you walked out of the library, your eyes fell on your wrist again, tracing the L inked into it.
It annoyed you greatly that you didn't know your soul mate's name, just the letter.
"If fate wants to decide my soulmate for me then why the fuck can't I know their full name?"
You suddenly yelped, stumbling into something that sounded a lot like coins, and cursed. Kneeling to pick up the coins, you realised you had tripped into some beggar's coin jar.
"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!", you apologized, quickly picking up the coins and dropping them back into the jar. You raised your head to look the homeless man in the eyes, his haggard white hair and beard covering his face. " Are you okay?!"
"You cannot change fate. You will meet him when it is fated. Don't fight it."
Taken aback, you blinked once, then twice. "I-I'm sorry?"
"Don't question fate. Fate is decided, you will meet him when the time is right."
Your breathing quickened as you stared at the man, still kneeling. His beard was too white to be related to old age. His hair was too full and too shiny to be old. His eyes were too bright, his lips were too full, his skin was too-
You gasped as if someone had pulled you out of water right as you were drowning. You quickly jumped to your feet, backing away from the man.
"I-I'm sorry, I have to go!"
Quickly dropping a coin into his coin jar, you turned and took off running, cold sweat dropping down your face. It wasn't until you were a good three blocks away that you calmed down, panting.
Crossing the street, you murmured to yourself, "psycho old man, what the fuck was he try-"
Beep!
A horn sounded as you turned, car light's blinding you as the last thing you saw was a horrified expression of the driver as he surely ran you over.
Tumblr media
For some reason, you felt no pain. Did you die? Probably...
You groaned, opening your eyes to see a dark mahogany ceiling, with floating candles. Hogwarts? Was Hogwarts heaven suddenly? Was this some software update you didn't know about?
"Ah, it seems your awake..."
You shrieked, jumping six feet into the air, and saw a man with bright red hair, and....horns?
Your wrist tingled, and you internally thought, was this furry your soulmate?
"My name is Diavolo, future king of Devildom, or as you humans may call it, Hell."
Your eyes widened. So you did die. And you didn't even go to heaven! But at least on the bright side, this furry...or whatever he was, wasn't your soulmate. So, yay?
"I know you must be confused right now, but allow me to explain. We were planning on bringing you here for some time as a part of an exchange student program. However, while we were about to summon you, you nearly got into a terrible car accident. Thankfully, albeit some mysterious reason, we were able to save you before you died. Now, let me introduce you to the demons you'll be living with."
Tumblr media
And just like that, you were a human exchange student in Hell. The “demons” you were supposed to live with weren’t there when you first arrived, so you were told to live in the Purgatory Hall, with two angels and a suspicious looking human. After that day when you found your soulmate’s letter, you hadn’t seen it again. You knew two of the demons had their names start in L. Could one of them be your soulmate?
You were dying to meet them, but as that creepy old man, and practically everyone in your life had said, you had to wait for fate to make you two meet.
Tumblr media
To be continued….

hmm 10, 12, 25 for ari?
ask meme located here!
10: What's a seemingly minor decision they made that wound up majorly impacting their life?
Hiring Teldryn. Like, of all things to change his life, it's hiring a mercenary on an island he thinks is the worst place on Nirn solely so he can have a guide and not have to bother with maps. And then the guy gives him lectures about the Red Year and consoles him about his task with Miraak and oops now he's got a life partner.
There's a lot I could say and repeat about their relationship — I've talked about it a lot — but there's something I really love about the fact that it was one conversation and a satchel of gold that set everything in motion to make Ariquar realize how blind he'd been to how he was raised. Realizing that the fear he'd experienced hadn't just been in Summerset, but all over, and that multiple instances of tragedy had happened without him ever hearing a word of it. That now these people that he'd been told hadn't mattered in the grand scheme of things were like him, had gone through terrible things. And that matters. It's not a throwaway line in a history book — it's entire experiences he'd been blind to.
Listening to Teldryn talk about everything he'd gone through, and having him guide Ariquar through Solstheim to see how Miraak put fear into the Skaal, how Raven Rock was struggling so much — it was this slow ‘oh’ moment that finally hit fully when he came to in Frea’s home after defeating Miraak.
If he hadn't hired Teldryn, I can only imagine his competitive, spiteful nature would have gotten the better of him. He'd have ignored everything else and gone directly for Miraak, no lessons learned and drawn in by hubris and a want to be Better Than Him. He wouldn't have grown, he'd only have gotten stronger with no desire to protect anything but himself.
12: What is the strangest non-magical item they own?
Ari collects books. Any book he can get his hands on. It kind of aligns with his connection to Mora, but his actual motivation is that he wants to combat all the lies he was fed in Summerset by reading history books written by people who actually experienced it. That being said, he has a lot of weird books and journals he's found while traveling, both buried in dungeons and for sale in shops.
The weirdest ones he has are just... Journals in languages he can't understand. He hasn't found anyone to translate them and he doesn't have any frame of reference. But sketches in the margins and personal touches make him hesitant to just … get rid of them or sell them. He knows he has the lifespan and the resources to take care of them, so… why not keep them until he can figure them out?
25: If they were an NPC, what kind of quest would they give?
Given that I haven't ever really put him into a non-Dragonborn timeline, I'd imagine that as Dragonborn he'd fill a spot like Esbern, giving dragon hunting quests. Or quests that would align with his ideals as Grandmaster of the Blades, so maybe ‘Learn to fly on a dragon’ or ‘find this book on this niche history subject (that somehow winds up relating to, like, Sai Sahan)’.
For a non-Dragonborn timeline … I'd imagine he could be a follower with a prerequisite quest related to his days with the Thalmor. A bit complex for Skyrim’s whole quest system but maybe showing him he's been lied to and earning his trust? A redemption quest. He'd be unwilling and snarky at first, which would be fun.

Perhaps She Did
Part Two
Abraham “from Us” x Black Female Character
Another #supersizedfic short. This is the second and last part to this series, and hopefully it flows like it did in my mind. Enjoy!
Tumblr media
One night turned to two. Two turned to four, four to eight, and eight to ten before the line had been drawn. That face was imprinted into her memory, burned into the forefront of her mind. Every moment she'd surrendered to a restful slumber was overcome by the mystery of him. His tall frame towering over her as if she'd shrunken. Those dark eyes that seemed all too focused on her, as if she were the most fascinating thing alive. The large, rough hands that had touched her skin as delicate as they'd known how. Almost afraid that they'd break her somehow.
Exhaustion was a understatement.
Tired didn't seem to hold weight to what she felt. None of the dots she'd made connected. He was a complete stranger, but none like she'd ever seen. As much as she hoped she never seen him again, it annoyed her that a small part of her wanted answers. All the scenarios she'd made about him -including how he could be a deranged killer or crazed pervert- failed to stop her thought of going back to that place. Something made her think neither of those were the case because he spared her.
Putting her fairly new car into park, she pressed the start button to silence it. The headlights cut off and she sat in silence for a moment. "Am I really doing this shit?" Laying her forehead against the furry steering wheel cover, she sighed with closed eyes. "Fuck. I guess I am."
It took three deeps breaths and a encouraged 'get it over with, bitch' to get out of the car. Her attire was much different from the first night she'd encountered the cool breeze of the beach. She zipped the jacket to her tracksuit, slipping her keys and hands into the small pockets. The running shoes on her feet were a bit dated, only seeing the light of day when she had to run a quick errand and wasn't dressed up.
The fair ground was definitely creepier when it was damn near deserted. Honestly it could've been because the fair music still played. A few people straggled around, consisting of a handful of employees and booth owners that were cleaning up. Though with them being focused on trying to finish and get home, she slipped by with ease. A few rhymed two steps down the stairs and she stood before the abandoned house of mirrors.
She took slow steps up the stairs to the building, holding a hand to her chest in hopes to ease her heartbeat. "I'm really doing this shit." The phrase left her lips three times before she silenced. There at the door of the place that's held her mind hostage, she popped her knuckles and nibbled her bottom lip in hopes of relaxing. As if her nervous ticks would help the situation.
Finally putting the sandy sole of her right shoe to the wooden floor, she swallowed her fear. Or at least half of it. She felt like she was in a scary movie, and she was being that one girl that always went towards the danger no matter how much people yelled at the screen for her to do different.
"You got this, girl. You got this, girl. Yo- Fuckkk." The curse came out high pitched with widened eyes and a jump back towards the entrance. Her heart began its racing at this point. "That fucking owl. I knew it was coming and yet it still scared the shit out of me." The angered mumble was more to herself, making her roll her eyes.
Once she'd reached the big room of mirrors where the maze began, she just stood there. Her reflection looked right back at her. Waiting for something she wasn't even sure was real. "Well, we're here. Now what?" She spoke to her reflection, yet it said nothing back. Just as she'd expected. Honestly, she didn't think she'd get this far so her plan wasn't really a plan.
Looking around, she seen nothing jump out to her as a hint. There was no sign to help her figure out the next step. "Hello?" The unsure greeting left her lips without a thought otherwise. Nothing. Another minute passed before she sighed, partly relieved that there was no reply.
That was until she heard the floor creak. Coming from her right. She turned to the sound with a quickness, hugging the pepper spray that was attached to the key ring in her pocket. Just in case it wasn't him, but also if it was.
She calls her greeting again, gulping once he showed himself. So she wasn't tripping. He was just as tall as she remembered, and getting taller the closer he came to her. His steps were heavy and slow like the steady beat of a bass drum. The same red jumpsuit hugged his body, showing a peek of his chest from behind where the second button was supposed to be fastened.
Once he makes it to her frozen being, she's tilted her head back to keep her eyes on his face. He still sports that same mean mug as he reciprocates the interest. Squinting even in the tinted spotlight that adorned them both. Her hands stay to her sides, clenching softly once he lifts a hand to her face. The grunt of acknowledgment that followed was like his greeting, at least to her it was.
He seemed to like the feeling of her skin, it's softness compared to the harsh contrast of his. His thumb stroked her cheek to take in its fullness. The grunt he repeated broke her from her frozen state. Maybe he was trying to communicate?
She swallowed for the third time that night, slowly inching her hand to lay over his. "Hey.. I don't know if I sound crazy.." This was a crazy situation, why wouldn't she? "But i haven't been able to stop thinking about you since the other night. And what you are.. Who you are..."
Her soft hand eased to his face, hoping not to startle him. As if he was a squirrel and not a full grown male. He leaned into her touch without hesitation to her intention. Probably because she didn't look like any threat to him, especially since he was twice as tall it seemed.
His beard was full of thick and healthy coils, dark as coal against his skintone. For someone who lived in an abandoned fun house, he was groomed well. For the most part. His short nails were clean though his hair and beard could use a trim.
"Perfect.." He struggles to say the word, but she makes it out just fine. The hint of a smile tugs at her lips. He thought she was perfect? If she could count the amount of times she'd been called that on her hands she'd only be five fingers in. Was she really this desperate for affection?
He just stared at her, looking to her with those dark eyes. The scent of her perfume caught his nose and inched her closer. Leaning forward, his lips were mere inches away from hers. It reminded him of the show from the television in the break room of the basement below. His odd yet familiar world.
The women always swooned for the man, and the moments where they were this close ended with kisses. Oh shit, is he going to kiss me? She panicked mentally, not wanting to suddenly frighten him. A kiss would be weird right. So to prevent the moment in case it was happening, she spoke. "Do you have a name?"
The question was a bit shaky, but he stepped back to think about it. She let go of a breath she didn't realize she had. For the first time that tonight, he looked away from her. He was definitely trying to think of his name, but it looked like a struggle. His eyebrows pushed together once again, and he opened his mouth before closing it again.
He touched his throat, rubbing the area as if it was sore. "A-Abe" The word was repeated hoarsely, as if there was more to it. Yet he stopped trying, making a pained face as his hand kept rubbing his throat. Water. She'd had a water bottle in the car.
"Do you need a drink to help?" He looked to her as she asked the question. Confusion was apparent on his face so she explained further. "Hold on, I'll be back." She took a step backward and he watched her intensely. Turning away from him, she quickened her step to get out of the building. The owl didn't scare her this time.
The trip to her car was quick, mostly because she ran. Thoughts of firing up the engine and dipping crossed her mind, but she didn’t really want to leave him here. In that sad place, probably alone and eating off whatever poor animal found it way down there. Breathing a curse, she made her way back to him. Water bottle in hand.
Don’t do this.
She scolded herself on the current thought dancing in her head. Her footsteps drowned out the thoughts until they were hushed by the sand. They slowed once she’d reached the building again. Don’t do this. He stood outside the door, gazing up at the stars above. They held his attention for a while, ignoring her presence for a moment. After a while and a cool breeze passed, he looked to her. Something different was in his eyes.
She held the water bottle out, motioning for him to take it. Don’t do this. He looked at the bottle before looking back to her. His larger hand reached for the plastic container, taking it from her softly. Though it crackled in his large hand when he pulled it towards him.
Don’t do this.
Standing there watching him scarf down the water, that nagging thought never left her mind. He was here all alone and she was supposed to be what? A savior to him, helping him from this traumatic life. Shaking her head, she took a turn to look to the sky before looking back to him.
He stared at her, tilting his head to study the change in her body language. She took a step forward, accepting the empty water bottle he held out. His other hand caught her wrist, holding it as he stepped closer to her. “Perfect.” He spoke the word again, a bit clearer since he’d had water.
His hand never loosened to release her, but then again he had no intention to. She gulped, watching as he looked back to the building. But the first step he took towards it with her in tow scared her. “Wait..” He didn’t spare her a glance, ignoring her as she fought to loosen his grip. Panic rose within her, creeping up her neck and holding back the scream she wanted to give.
He kept his focus on his path, whispering ‘Perfect’ as they both entered the building. Her putting up a fight and refusing to be easy prey. It barely bothered him, only being a persistent quick pain from her hits to his arms. Suddenly stopping her assault, she complied for a moment.
He’d eased his grip, just enough to stop the pain in her wrist. She mumbled his name, saddening her voice and it actually made him stop. His dark eyes looked back to her as she caressed his hand. That soft skin never failed to fascinate him. Just long enough for that owl to pop out and give a hard hit to the side of his head.
His hand slipped as he went to hold his head, growling at the sudden pain. This was her break. She turned away to get her running start. Her feet hit the wooden boards beneath her with force. Each step getting her closer to freedom. “Shit!” A force caught the back of her jacket, pulling her back. Away from the entrance and more into the darkness.
In a quick moment of thought, she started at her zipper. Fighting her from the confines of the warm jacket, lifting the force off her and free her once again. This time she wasted no time getting out. Her heavy, ragged breaths only got louder the farther she ran. Feet fighting against the sand, her knee met the wood of the stairs that get her to the fair ground.
The cold air fought against her as she made her way to the car sitting at the parking lot. His animalistic grunt called behind her, definitely from the man running behind her. She fought the fearful tears that threatened to taint her cheeks. Get to the car. The chant was her encouragement, even when she’d heard those thuds make it to the old wooden steps of the fair.
Her hands fumbled with the keys, shaking as she heard his footsteps coming closer. Another angry growl and she’d managed to opened the driver side door. Scrambling into the car, she brought it to life and locked the doors behind her. As she quickly threw the car in reverse, she didn’t dare look back until she’d made it to the street.
Catching the dark red of his jumpsuit showing the silhouette of his body in the red of the taillights. Tall and beastly as he watched her, yelling after her. The tears flowed freely as she tried to calm her breathing. She’d be damned if she crashed anywhere near this place because of blurry eyes. This was a defining moment in her life, for her future.
Was this going to be the last night she stayed in this god forsaken town? Perhaps it was.

Okay, let me rephrase this since I can see it might've come out as a bit agressive and controversial.
When I made this post, I was not attacking or insulting the DCEU or the Justice League movie. I like the Justice League movie and I like the DCEU.
However, I like the Arrowverse more, given that the Arrowverse, beginning with Arrow back in 2012, has been a big part of my life for eight (8) years. I was twelve (12) when Arrow first aired, and now I'm twenty (20), and I'm proud of how far the Arrowverse has come in building an successful and wide-ranging universe, and essentially, although unnamed, have built their own version of the 'Justice League'.
I'm proud of this for many reasons. For one, I was just coming off the back of my DC comics phase in 2012, and Arrow, albeit entirely different from the comic Green Arrow and any other comics I had seen at the time, drew me in. I've spent eight (8) years with Arrow's Oliver Queen, and seeing that particular 'Justice League' scene as above made me very emotional. So to see this scene getting the same amount of views as the movie made me very happy.
Second, I was so much more attached to the TV characters. This was a long time coming, as we'd had three big crossovers in prior years to this, and despite being happy with these, we never got an official team name, which seemed odd to me, because the heroes teamed up more often than not. We didn't get an official team name here either, but it was obvious. They used the same place to gather in as their original, first huge crossover, which was unfortunately never referred to by name, but is the Hall of Justice, and we got an official member confirmation, with the writers both trying to honor the 'original' comic members of the Justice League and successfully building one from the TV characters we already know and love.
Third, Arrow began as a superhero show with no superpowers. It began with just the one man, a vigilante, not a hero, fighting to make the world a better place. Who'd have ever thought, in the beginning, when it was just Oliver Queen's sole quest, that we would get an onscreen unofficial 'Justice League' one day?
Hopefully you can understand why I therefore have many reasons for being proud of this scene getting the same amount of views as the movie scene.
Furthermore, views do not equal quality. That's incorrect. But it is quality, nevertheless, to me, and to me has more emotional impact than this team up scene in the movie, and I expressed that through the word "quality", which in hindsight may have been the wrong term to use.
I'm not putting the two at odds with one another. They're both part of the DC universe, and so I support both.
I'm also not saying that the Justice League movie was unsuccessful: it wasn't.
What I'm saying is that I'm proud of the Arrowverse for gaining such popularity and following that it can stand on the same ground as a successful box office movie. It's come so far from where it began, and I'm excited to see where it will go next.
(Additionally, if you think that the two clips having equal viewing equates as an automatic insult to the DCEU, than you're viewing the Arrowverse as something insulting to be compared to, which I'm sure is a little bit insulting to the producers of the TV universe and frankly makes me a little annoyed.)
(Also, to clarify, the two clips have do equal views, as you can see below in the version where I haven't drawn the red circle (which, btw, was only drawn around the view count to highlight it so people reading this post would be able to easily tell what I was talking about around the two view counters:
Tumblr media
calling me a liar pisses me off. If you're so convinced that I'm lying, then go and check out the view count yourself before accusing me of lying and therefore looking stupid on the internet. Don't do this.)
(For my last point: I don't owe any of you an explanation. This post blew up overnight and loads of people are getting angry with it. Respect both the DCEU and the Arrowverse and we'll get along. I understand I didn't phrase this post well which is why I'm rephrasing it and offering an explanation, because I want to. I don't want fighting amongst DC fans. This'll get us nowhere. Please be respectful to your fellow fans.)
This tho...
Tumblr media
It really tells you something about the quality of the shows that they're on the same level as their movie equivalents. Especially since they got the same amount of views within less than half the time that the movie verse took to get that many.
The Arrowverse really did that.
