i need to know do trout and hake know what the fuck sturgeons problem is. do they know what happened to urchin and that thresher abused her, or do they just think she came out the womb emotionally stunted
They do not know any of what she’s been through, she spent all of her life sheltering them from it. They dont know why she acts the way she does. They do not know how evil thresher truly was.
She thinks hake coming back to help with trouts issues is an acceptable ask, because she spent her whole childhood doing that for thresher. Thresher made her slit a kittens throat and she still came back to make things better.
#answers#I think it is fair for hake to respond to her with fury; he doesnt know anything shes been through#some of the comments though…#Idk im surprised that some folk are being so harsh on her when they’ve got all the context to why she is like this#She can be wrong and understood at the same time.

I'LL CALL OUT THE OBVIOUS OBSTACLE, I SEE IT THERE IN YOUR DRAFTS AND YOU CANNOT DENY IT !!!!!
ITS A FUCKIN LONG LIST OF SUITORS PICKED BY THE PARENTS TO COME IN BETWEEN READER AND THE MONSTER PHYSICIAN!!!
What list?
Oh, you mean this list? *unfurls a long scroll with the names of all the boring human suitors your parents love*
They've been visiting you all morning, and it's so dreadfully dull. Sure, they're nice enough, but you're distracted by thoughts of Monster Physician.
It was just a few days ago that he spent the night at your home, to watch over your sick sibling. The two of you slept in the same room together—in separate chairs on completely opposite sides of the room, but still. His face was the first you saw when you awoke. His voice was the first you heard, all soft and scratchy with sleepiness as he murmured good morning with a smile on his face.
You wonder what it would be like to wake up to him in your bed like that. Just the thought of it makes your lips part as something warm curls in your belly.
The sound of your name pulls you back to the present—it's one of the boring suitors speaking to you, asking if you're alright. You quickly assure him that you are.
He mentions something about being sick himself recently, and you eagerly pounce on this topic of conversation—did he see Monster Physician for his treatment? You tell him he really should—he's the best physician in town. So caring, so gentle, so clever—
One of your parents clears their throat, and you realize you've been gushing over this other male to the one right in front of you. You snap your mouth shut and clasp your hands tightly in your lap, while the suitor blinks at you in bewilderment.
Later, your parents try to get you to tell them which suitor you liked best, but what can you say? You don't like any of them. Your heart already belongs to Monster Physician.
(This ask is in response to this snippet where I said in the tags that I'm going to keep throwing obstacles in the path of Monster Physician and Reader getting together because I love pining 😈)

Hi I wanna know about each rogues parents and childhood pls. I really like your jerv too byes a good lad
Since this is going to be pretty long, we're just going to explain and show the parents who are relevant to who the rogues are. For example, someone like Freeze had normal, supportive parents so he won't be listed.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ra's and Martha Al Ghul- Thalia Al Ghul
childhood:
Before Martha met Thomas, she was Martha Kane, and Martha was a known party girl: wealthy, wild, while still intelligent and generous. It was during her early 20s that she came in contact with Ra's, leading to a whirlwind romance and marriage to the man. While not fully aware of his history, Ra's' reluctance to share more of his personal life, conflicting beliefs, and at times, manic outbursts, led to a divorce after only a few years, but not before Thalia was born. With the rift drawn between her parents, Ra's took Thalia back to his Wonder city, raising her himself, if not with some help from other members of his community. Thalia was always aware of her mother, Martha, because of how Ra's spoke of her wistfully. Ra's was for the most part a good father.
When his Lazarus pit sickness was mild, he was gentle and always ready to teach. When his sickness was strong, Ra's was feverishly sick and violent, although he did his best never to hurt Thalia. She was raised to respect her father, and to be skilled and knowledgeable enough to take his place.
Thalia also used to be closer with her older half-sibling, Nyssa. Nyssa made Thalia feel like she could be more relaxed. So relaxed that when Nyssa and her began to fight more about what their father was doing, Thalia was angry and confused. It hurt more when Nyssa left. She thought they'd always have their sisterly bond. She was wrong.
Thalia grew to hope that meeting Bruce wouldn't end the same way, whenever that might be.
Thomas and Martha Wayne - Bruce Wayne (Batman)
I'm aware that Bruce is Batman, not a rogue, but his parents are still important and I don't know when we'll next see them
childhood:
After her messy divorce with Ra's, she and her family did their best to cover it up. By the time she met Thomas, it seemed like nothing more than a rumor. Martha confided in Thomas about her marriage, but they both decided that it would be best to wait until Bruce was older before telling him about his half-sister, Thalia.
While Thomas and Martha were alive, they strived to show Bruce all the love that they had for him and one another. They instilled a sense of charity and community service in him, making sure he understood the value of the immense wealth he was born into. There are many less fortunate who need their help, and Bruce adored them more than anyone else in the world.
Bruce also had Alfred taking care of him, his best friends not far behind: Harvey Dent, Gilda Gold, Rachel Dawes, and Thomas "Tommy" Elliot. For a short time, Bruce also got to spend time with his father's dog, Ace, although he died when Bruce was only 3 or 4. Still, these are Bruce's fondest memories before his parents were killed in Crime Alley.
From that point on, Bruce became a shell of his former self. A recluse, wary, and secretive with even his closest friends. His only goal was learning everything he could in order to save Gotham from her darkest residents.
Damaso Montero (Blanca Montero) and Salma Kyle - Selina Kyle (Catwoman)
childhood:
Selina was born of an affair between the prominent Damaso Montero, and known lady of the night, Salma Kyle. During Selina's earliest years she spent time with her mother in the streets, strip clubs, and other seedy establishments. Salma kept Selina close, wary of what others might do to her, but still she tried to keep Selina from seeing the worst of her lifestyle. Selina tried to tune out what she could, but she was still aware of most of what was happening. She tried to focus her attention on things she liked instead: Cats, purple, and jewelry.
Salma desired nothing more than a better childhood for Selina, and so she approached Damaso despite her pride. Salma begged Damaso to take Selina in as she was his biological child. Damaso agreed, fearing that Salma would make his affair with her (and countless others) public knowledge. But his still had the condition that Selina not cause any trouble, and that Salma would not be allowed in with her. Salma agreed, and said goodbye to Selina.
She visited for a while after that, catching up with Selina before disappearing like she'd never been there. Selina felt stifled. She had no such rules when she was with her mother. Now it seemed like she could barely breath without being a nuisance. Damaso ignored her most of the time. Selina could handle that. She had no desire for his attention anyway,
Her step-mother, Blanca, was the one she didn't like. To be fair, Blanca didn't like her either, feeling that her presence was blemish enough, and that she was taking away attention from the 3 children she had mothered with Damaso. Selina got along with her half-siblings okay, although it would be a lie to say they were lose.
So when Salma stopped showing up at all, Selina was worried. Selina never found out what happened to her mother, but she does keep it in the back of her mind. She'd give a lot to find out what happened to her mother.
The Montero's may have taken Selina in, but she still decided to keep her mother's last name. It meant more to her; Selina got into more trouble as she grew, relying more on herself than the Montero's, opting to steal and honing skills she was able to use against those around her. Sometimes, you've got to be a girl taking care of herself,
Caleb and Rubi Isley - Pamela Lillian Isley (Poison Ivy)
childhood:
Caleb was a gardener, and Rubi's parents were having their whole front yard redone. Rubi found Caleb sweet and hard-working, willing to strike up conversation even as he labored away. Despite it being his job, Rubi set to work right alongside him, as she had a passion for gardening as well, albeit leaning more towards flowers. The social butterfly begged Caleb to go out with her, he agreed, and the rest is history. Pamela was their first born of 8 children.
She shared her parents passion for gardening, and found herself interested in botany from a young age. Pamela was a wallflower unless she was around her family or nature. It was just more comfortable that way. Pamela would sometimes have a hard time articulating her thoughts, but her family would always understand, and her connection to nature didn't need her to explain herself in anything but pure emotion.
To say Pam was anti-social growing up would be wrong, but she never went out of her way to make friends. She just didn't click with most people and that didn't bother her. All her needs were already met, Although she would have like the courage to ask out a couple of her crushes over the years....but nevermind them, she had tests to pass, and plants to grow at home. Her family was always encouraging of her interests and fully supported her when she was preparing to attend Gotham University, and along with that, Pam always did her best to be the rock her younger siblings could turn to no matter what.
Nick and Sharon Quinzel - Harleen Quinzel (Harley Quinn)
childhood:
Harleen couldn't remember a time when her parents had gotten along, nor was she old enough to remember when they divorced, but she did remember how different living with each of them was, and that she much preferred the time with her father.
Her mother treated Harleen well enough, but she was almost always out of the house partying or gambling, leaving Harleen to take care of herself if she was unable to on a given day. She woke herself up for school, made herself food, and sometimes if she was lucky, her mother wasn't too hungover to spend a little time with her.
Her father, on the other hand, treated Harleen like his most precious treasure, taking her out to the circus whenever he could and buying her ice cream after picking her up from school. He had Bipolar (I'm not too sure which one, I need to do more research) and depression for a long time, but he did his best not to let it affect Harleen. From about middle school, Harleen started to show similar traits as her father, as well as being tested for narcissism, but her father knew how to help, so Harleen was able to keep them in check.
It wasn't until his own health started to drastically decline when Harleen was graduating high school that things got hard. She had already balanced having a job with her schoolwork, but found herself looking for a better paying job, as her father could no longer work as well to help with rent. She managed all that while still preparing to get a degree to go in therapy, but it was starting to affect her. Worse, her father's attitude towards her started to change. Not only was he extremely depressed all the time, he would have bouts of extreme aggression or hysteria before becoming despondent, judgemental, and intensely suicidal. Harleen was terrified, especially since she couldn't stay home with him all the time. Not if she wanted to keep her job and finish her degree.
She took him to a lot of doctors to see if they could help, but their answers all lead to an unknown form of disease that seemed to latch unto the brain and affect pre-existing health issues. This devastated Harley, and she was honestly terrified too. The doctors had warned that it tended to run in the family, so there was a high chance this would happen to her too.
It was all too much, her brain was swimming, practically drowning her thought after thought, and she could hardly tread on. She continued to work, albeit her coworkers noticed the shift. She had exams coming up, ones that would determine if she got her degree or not, but she'd barely been able to study and so…she cheated. She'd never done so in her life. It hurt her pride, and her father would be so disappointed, but he didn't have to know. It was all for him anyway,
Harleen passed, and she was lucky to get a job as a Blackgate therapist. Her schedule made it possible to watch her father most of the time, and this eased her mind, although her father's treatment kept her morale low. After a few years, she was offered a new therapist position at Arkham that was better paying for less hours, and she gladly accepted.
Bill and Penny Fleck - John Doe - originally Arthur Fleck (the Joker)
childhood:
The Joker was originally born with the name Arthur to his parents, the Flecks. They didn't treat him very well for being autistic, as well as his own personal beliefs. He loved old movies and circuses, especially the clowns, from a young age. They found that strange. Even more so when he had an interest in wearing makeup. Men can't do that, absolutely not. John also really liked red lipstick specifically, but his mother found the color whoorish and beat him for wearing it, more than just for getting into her makeup. Arthur also couldn't understand why he couldn't like both girls and boys, since they're both nice and attractive. Needless to say he stopped bringing it up after he got in trouble for that too.
Arthur also used to visit Cobblepot park to get away from his parents and be outside. While there, he became friends with Eddie, and they began to visit more often to see one another.
However, when Arthur turned 16, his parents decided that they were tired of dealing with him. After Arthur returned home from school, his parents were waiting for him on the porch. Confused, he asked what was going on, and his father told him to get into the car. Arthur listened, but the knot in his stomach grew as he realized they were driving closer and closer to Arkham. When they parked, he begged and tried to run, but his father grabbed his wrist and yelled at him worse than he ever had. This wasn't a choice. The staff were waiting, and Arthur was promptly handed over to them, and into more tight grips.
Having given the Arkham staff enough money, Arthur was affectively a Fleck no more, instead referred to as John Doe. It became clear pretty quickly that John wasn't going to leave, and the staff had no sympathy for his pleas.
Harry and Lucy Dent - Harvey Dent (Two-Face)
childhood:
Harvey was always a polite and energetic boy growing up. He had a lucky silver dollar he kept to flip "heads or tails" for little decisions, like stepping over or onto cracks in the cement, or silly little bets with Gilda, Bruce, Rachel, and Tommy who he met at a young age through school and the four became fast friends.
His father was an angry and abusive man, oppressing his power over Harvey and his wife, enforcing a skewed set of rules. This instills Harvey with a strong sense of fair judgment and wanting to right wrongs, even at such a young age. When Harvey was 6, his parents got into a fatal car crash and died, and from this point on the Wayne's did everything they could to help Harvey, helping Harvey's aunts (on his mother's side - now his legal guardians) to raise him.
This incident was hard at first since Harvey felt conflicted about whether or not to be happy that his parents were gone, and he could become angry and aggressive when upset, similar to his father, although Harvey had plenty of support to help him calm down and cope better with stress.
When Bruce's parents were murdered, Harvey comforted him as best he could, mourning his loss and trying to help Bruce continue to take care of himself and talk about how he feels.
Bruce is still fine for the most part after that, if not more distant in word, but good with spending time with Harvey and Gilda.
Over time, Gilda and Harvey spend more time together, as they click better. Bruce participated when offered, but as he was also fine being alone, the two began to see each other more often without Bruce there.
Tucker and Esther Cobblepot - Oswald Cobblepot (The Penguin)
childhood:
The Cobblepots were initially excited at the idea of having a new addition of their family, but Oz's appearance when born was not what they expected. His fingers were fused, along with a curved spine, not good for a baby. They even thought his nose looked like a beak, and that was not befitting the Cobblepot name. So, they decided to tell the public that they had had a miscarriage, and paid off the staff present for Oz's birth. But this didn't actually stop the gossip of Oswald not actually dying, but being discarded, from spreading.
The recently abandoned zoo is where Oz was discarded, luckily being cared for by the penguins there. This is where he spent his first 6 years, learning to swim, catch fish, huddle in penguin circles, and how to communicate with them. The reason the Red Triangle Circus was looking in the zoo was for animals to use for their acts, stumbling upon a group of penguins (among some other animals) and to their surprise, a very young boy.
The troupe was originally from the UK, so they didn't immediately put together that he was actually Oswald Cobblepot. This was learned later over their time living in Gotham and hearing the harsh whispers of Gothamites attending performances, having expected Oz to have passed away after being discarded, for surely how could a baby survive on their own after that. This is also why Oz was still called Oswald, instead of another name. It didn't mean much to him at first, considering every human he interacted with had a name too, but as he learned to understand English and process what the Gothamites were saying, he knew what his name meant and it made him understandably bitter. Most of the circus troupe members Oz considers his family along with his penguins, especially Isabel, but not the ringleader himself. Cross only cared about how well his circus performed, not the performers and animals, so he often abused them when he felt their abilities or behavior was inadequate.
Oz was fed up with the treatment; for himself, for his family…Cross’ blatant abuse of power was unacceptable. So he started to make a plan in his head of how he could revolt. He just had to figure out who was on his side, and who was an obstacle.
Vincent and Njema Karlo - Basil Karlo (Clayface)
childhood:
Basil's parents were separated for most of his childhood. They decided not to divorce, but they only time they'd see each other is when Basil was moving between his father and mother's homes. Njema was hard-headed but caring, so Basil didn't mind when he was over visiting her. Still, Basil was only with their father.
I won't say that Basil had a particularly bad relationship with his father, but his dad projected a lot of pressure onto Basil to be perfect and never let anyone see the "monster" that truly dwells inside oneself. Because of this, Basil always showed off the best parts of himself, never really letting himself express any negative emotions that he felt. This also meant that he never formed any genuine connections with his peers, despite being a total socialite and growing up popular in school.
This perfectionism affected Basil on a deep level, as they believed that nobody would love them if they were to be honest about their feelings.
Basil's father was also a film actor, and Basil wanted to follow in his footsteps. Along with this, Basil always took theatre classes in school, never landing leading roles, but consistently receiving supporting ones. This continued on as Basil grew up, moving from primary education classes to Gotham's university and community theatre.
Edward "Elliot" Nashton- Edward Nashton Jr. (The Riddler)
childhood:
Edward's father goes by Elliot; he doesn't like the name Edward. He names his own son Edward because he thinks the son he never wanted deserves to have such a name. Even though his mother, Emily, loves the name 'Edward'. Elliot is a very intelligent man, but never had any aspirations. He just thinks everyone else around him is stupid and doesn't think it's worth the effort ot use his intelligence, unless it's to manipulate others to get what he wants. As a young man in college, he felt he was too good for it and instead spent his time out at parties and getting drunk. During this period, he briefly had a girlfriend. They had broken up before either of them knew she was pregnant. Thus Edward was born, a child neither of them wanted. She left Edward with Elliot since it's his fault this child exists.
Elliot leaves Edward with his mother, Emily, to raise him for the first few years of his life because he does not want to put in the work needed to raise an infant. Edward is happy living with his grandmother, who loves him with all her heart. Though she is thrusted with the sudden responsibility of another child without any notice or help, she does her best and never wants Ed to feel unwanted or unloved. And loved he is. His grandmother gives him everything he needs: patience, understanding, praise. Ed was born autistic and has always had difficulty socializing and handling his emotions. His grandmother helped him a lot through these issues and would help him learn skills to navigate them. But it wouldn't be enough by the time his father returned for him. At the age of six, Ed's father would decide to raise Ed from there. Not because he actually wants to be a father, but to fuel his own ego and project his problems onto Ed.
In his father's care, Ed would experience the exact opposite of the life he had with his grandmother. Elliot would ridicule him, berate him, beat him. Telling him was stupid, that he should know better, behave better. Ed would develop OCD and OCPD during his time with his father. He was determined to prove his father wrong. That he was smart, that he was great. Ed put in as much work as possible to be as intelligent as he could be. This made his father jealous; his own son can't be smarter than him. The smarter Ed became, the worse his father would treat him. Elliot would do anything to sabotage Ed's success. He hated seeing how steadfast Ed was, how hard he worked, and how naively he thought he could make the world better. The world can't be fixed, he'll show him how cruel this miserable world is and how stupid he is for seeing anything worth fixing.
Finley and Holly Alexander- Dewy Alexander (Bookworm)
childhood:
Finley and Holly are average Gothamites. Pressured by cultural and familial expectations to raise a family. While they do love each other and have a decent relationship, they don't feel especially prepared. They have a child together, like they feel they are supposed to, but do not know where to go from there. Dewy has a very average childhood and is provided with almost everything he needs. Almost.
His parents are not particularly affectionate, to him or each other. They think they only need to provide basic needs. They have a house, food, water, electricity. They provide their son with clothes, education, three meals a day, and most importantly, books. What else does he need? And so Dewy is emotionally stunted. He can't regulate himself well and does not actively make connections with others. He often has random outbursts of intense emotion, typically anger. But these outbursts only last a few seconds. So his parents don't see much of an issue with it.
His parents think of him as an easy child. Ever since he learned how to read, that's all he wants to do. They see this as a success. Isn't it good that a child would want to spend all his time reading? He's quiet and well-behaved enough. His outbursts are easy enough to handle. He'll calm down if he's given something to read. He practically raises himself.
Dewy never had friends. Never had any other hobby besides reading. Never knowing he was missing something. Never understanding what he felt so empty about. His books taught him everything about the world. He was content, but why wasn't he happy? As he grows up, his outbursts become more and more dramatic and violent.
George and Agatha Tetch - Jervis Tetch (Mad Hatter)
childhood:
The Tetchs are one of Gotham's elite families. They have a reputation for being doctors or similar occupations. George and Agatha hate each other but stay together for the sake of their reputation, status, and to continue their bloodline. George takes great pride in his name, and he will hold his son to the same expectations he sets for himself.
Both Jervis's parents project their own insecurities onto him and hardly let him be his own person. George pushes Jervis to act more mature and masculine and expects him to excel in his education and to graduate with a doctorate in a field fitting of the Tetch name. Agatha often criticizes Jervis's appearance and presentation. Jervis was born with a genetic metabolic issue that makes it difficult to lose weight. He also grew up with undiagnosed ADHD, which also led to him developing Maladaptive daydreaming.
When Jervis had any free time, he would try to indulge in his hobbies. His parents often left him alone, since his father worked and his mother would be out of the house. So he could get away with doing things he actually wanted to do. He loved watching older media, especially animated movies. His favorite, of course, being Alice in Wonderland. He wished the world were like that, colorful and fun and free. So unlike his own life. He loved to do anything creative. Sew, knit, draw. His parents saw these things a frivolous. Instead, trying to force more sophisticated hobbies onto him.
Jervis did do very well academically. His parent would show off his accomplishments from school. Bragging about how intelligent he was because of how well they taught him. Jervis didn't feel particularly accomplished, and they didn't make it feel like a big deal at home. Giving only a small gesture of acknowledgment. It was expected, after all, that he should get good marks. Even at times, being frustrated at him because he was smart but wanted to "waste his time" doing things he actually enjoys. Especially because he actually hated school. It kept getting harder and harder, and he was constantly bullied for his appearance. Jervis would hope that by the time he got to university, he could choose what to study. His father did let him choose, as long as it was one he approved of. Jervis would pick neurology. It seemed interesting enough to deal with for the rest of his life.
Gerald and Karen Crane- Jothan Crane (Scarecrow)
childhood:
Gerald and Karen have had a crush on each other since they were young. But Karen's mother, Marion, did not approve. Once they were old enough, Gerald tried his best to help Karen get away from her mother, and they eventually eloped. They were so excited to have a child together, but unfortunately there was complications. It was likely that Karen would not survive the birth. Both accepted this. It was sad, but they agreed to continue with the pregnancy. They are both religious and believe death is not a permanent goodbye.
Jonathan would never meet his mother. But his father cared for him very well. Jonathan was a shy child and was scared of anything new. His father would help him a lot with this. Trying to instead nurture a curiosity in Jonthan. Showing him new things are not scary, but interesting. This worked well with animals. Jonathan loved to interact with the animals on the ranch, with his father helping guide how to approach them. Especially the seemingly creepy animals. Like spiders and snakes. This curiosity in fear would continue to grow as Jonathan aged.
Gerald wanted to give Jonathan the best life possible. He promised Karen. So when Jonathan was a little older, he searched for a better job. He was offered a teaching position in Gotham. Gerald figured this was a great opportunity to build a better life for him and his son. Unfortunately, he would have to travel there alone for a few days. There was no one else to care for Jonathan besides his mother-in-law. Gerald would think Marion wouldn't be so cruel as to treat her own grandchild poorly, especially since he's only four. He'll only be gone for a few days; he'll be back for him.
Gerald was killed in a crossfire. Marion would never tell Jonathan what happened to his father. Telling him that his father abandoned him. Jonathan doesn't want to believe her, but he can't remember enough about him to say for sure he would never do that. He just hopes his parents loved him. Jonathan would have to spend 12 long years with his grandmother. Working on her property to exhaustion, and being treated like a demon because Marion believed the nature of his existence to be the work of the devil. Her daughter wouldn't have died if she hadn't met that evil man who took her away from her for all those years. Marion would treat Jonathan the same way she did Karen, but even worse. Jonathan's only joy was the animals on the Keeny property. Especially his horse, Ashpuddle. He did everything with her.
School was not much better. Jonathan was severely bullied for his creepy appearance. From this, he learned how to be incredibly agile and flexible. He was very malnourished, so he knew he could not last long just simply running. He had to be quick, he had to be clever. He was getting tired of how everyone was treating him. He'll learn some way to protect himself. Some way to prove he's not a monster. But it never ends. Maybe he is just a monster.
Marisol Diego - Antonio Diego (Bane)
childhood:
Looking back, Marisol wasn't really sure what about Antonio's father had drawn her to him. With all his crimes and aggression it was hard to say it was ever anything more than infatuation or physical attraction. Still, Marisol became pregnant with his child, who she named Antonio as he was to be carted off to the prison Peña Duro, Santa Prisca. When his father died before serving out the rest of his sentence, the government tore the young Antonio away from his mother to serve his father's sentence instead, his only personal belonging being a teddy bear he called "Osito".
Marisol pleaded that they let he son go, he's not the one who'd done anything wrong, and who would send a child to prison instead? The guards paid her no mind, if not to shoo her off with a smack or two from their hands or the butt of their guns. Antonio was scared. He had to adapt to his environment, but his mother shouldn't have to worry about the same. Antonio grew up with a strong sense of justice and goodwill despite the environment around him. He longed for the day he'd be free and could stop the corruption that plagued their government and live happily with his mother. Antonio grew strong and held his own quite well, earning a reputation that meant he wasn't too be messed with, the mercy he showed the other inmates a rare kindness.
On the rare occasions that Antonio was able to watch TV, he greatly admired the boxer, Wildcat, who despite being an anthropomorphic catman of a metahuman, had risen to a place of respect; not only lauding many wins, but also teaching compassion in the face of adversity. He was even known to teach many young delinquents for the better once he retired from regular matches. He was exactly the type of person Antonio wanted to be: a bit rough around the edges, but still a kind soul who wished to help those around him.
Marcy Flowers - Walon Jones (Killer Croc)
childhood:
Walon's mother died shortly after his birth. His father, disgusted at Walon's appearance, abandons him. He his left in the care of his aunt, Marcy. She also finds him hideous, but feels an obligation to care for him. This does not mean she treats him well. She tries to wash off Walon's scales. Scrubbing until his skin is raw. But his mutation just keeps getting stronger as he ages.
Walon is treated like a dangerous animal by all his peers. Except for one. His childhood best friend. She saw nothing wrong with Walon and thought he was the coolest person ever. She would defend him from bullies and cheer him up, making sure he knew at least she loved him. They would often explore the mangroves where they lived together. Walon's friend loved adventure and loved to take him with her everywhere. One day, they would go a little too far, into gator-infested water. It was too murky to see the danger lurking nearby. Walon couldn't stop it, he wasn't strong enough. He couldn't help. He tried running to find someone who could help. But no one believed him. He would have to spend the rest of his life hiding from everyone else.
Ronald and Dalia Chapel - Darius Chapel (Music Meister)
childhood:
Darius is an only child of Ronald and Dalia Chapel, one of the elite families of Gotham. His relationship with his parents was fine when he was very young, but when they found out that he had powers, that changed. It was a day like any other, really. Darius was playing with his cousin, Mikey. They were just playing around and Darius was singing at the top of his lungs. This was also a common behavior for him, as it was one of his favorite things. Without really thinking about it, Darius told Mikey to do whatever he said. Mikey did it all with a blank expression. Darius just thought he was playing along, so he brought his parents to show them. They were able to tell that he wasn't just choosing to listen. Terrified, they yelled for Darius to stop. He did, startled by their sudden frustration. Mikey snapped out of it, greeting his aunt and uncle. Because of this, Darius' uncle, Kevin, is also aware of his powers, although Dalia (who's Kevin's older sister) made him swear to never bring it up. Despite this, he's one of the few people to always be supportive of Darius in every part of himself.
Darius' parents tried to discourage him from doing anything musically. They didn't want anything to happen and affect their family. But Darius loved music and singing. There was just no way he was going to give that up in its entirety. So he still joined choir in school, much to his parents' dismay. He did well. He was his teacher's favorite: he could sight-read pretty much anything, he could play the piano as accompaniment during their lessons and performances, help others with their parts, as well as fit into any octave section, depending on who needed it most. Darius was bullied for this, but he brushed it off. It hurt, but he enjoyed what he did, and he knew he was good at it.
Among Darius' bullies, there were a main few who harassed him more than others, and physically instead of just words at times. These boys had another friend who defended Darius, telling them to leave him alone and helping him up off the ground. Darius fell for that boy, and he fell hard. He felt his heart flutter any time he saw him, and grinned whenever they touched.
Darius wanted to confess. He knew it might not go well, but he felt that even if the boy didn't feel the same way, he'd turn Darius down politely, and that would be it. Unfortunately, when Darius actually did confess to him in a secluded area of the school, his face contorted in disgust, and he turned Darius down not so politely. Still, Darius accepted that response and moved on. The boy, however, decided to start bullying Darius along with the others. Darius' sexuality became another thing to bully him for.
Besides that, the rest of Darius' school life was uneventful. Just homework, concerts, and a desire to belong. Right after he graduated, he got his ear pierced, and that little thing opened the floodgates for his parents to berate him again, telling him to get over himself so he'd be suitable to carry on the Chapel name. He stood his ground and soon moved out, tired of the toxic environment.
Steve and Aviva Krill - Abner Krill (Polka Dot Man)
childhood:
Abner comes from a family of 9. This includes his parents and 6 siblings. His mother was an Iranian immigrant named Aviva Fazel, his father a born Gothamite David Krill. His father was very controlling of his mother. She couldn't go out, couldn't talk to people or even neighbors, just had to take care of the house, kids, and whatever else he wanted. So Aviva did her best to appease his demands. Abner, being the second oldest, did his best to help around the house along with his other siblings. School was a welcome place to blend in because coming home meant going back to his father. Abner had heard his father yell and hit his mother on many occasions, threatening to throw them all out, but his mother never stopped him. That was until his father started yelling about Jamie and was going to hit him. Aviva wouldn't stand to have her children treated like that. Finally, David completely lost his temper, literally kicking Aviva and his kids out. And then they had nothing but each other.
Desperate to give her kids a better life, Aviva went from place to place, trying to find a job. During this time, Davin, Abner, and Chaya took the most care of the younger 4. They were too young to really understand what was happening, but they knew that something was wrong. A week turned into a month, then a month and a half. Aviva was able to pick up odd jobs here and there, but nothing she could keep. She could see her children starting to wither away, and it broke her heart.
Out of nowhere, Aviva spotted some fliers Stating that anyone willing to have a virus tested on them would have their living means provided for them into the foreseeable future. It sounded too good to be true, but she had to check. The flier was legitimate, and Aviva and her children were hurriedly ushered into an office to sign some documents.
The doctors and other staff all seemed fine at first. They treated the kids very nicely, getting them all cleaned up and fed. But once they were injected with the virus, their niceness took on an eerie presence. Each of them reacted differently, the spots starting small, and they felt fine. But not long after, the negative side effects started to appear. Again, saving that part for later, but I can tell you that Abner was the only one to end up surviving with the virus.
Abner hated it there. The silence filled only with the buzz of lights and passing footsteps, the dirty off-white walls, the doctors who only said that they cared. And they made him wear hand cuffs and a suppressor to keep his spots from getting out of hand until they needed him.
It was extremely uncomfortable, as well as a constant reminder of the condition he was in. Star labs' main concern is turning and/or taking meta-humans to become soldiers to fight wars instead of other humans as well as whatever intense or underhanded tasks, thanks to Waller.
Among these tasks, Waller wanted Abner to become one of her best soldiers, ready to kill and use any force necessary. But Abner is against killing, the idea terrifies him. He has no desire to be a violent person and refused despite the multitude of methods they tried using to change that. So they still deployed him for dirty government missions. So although he isn't wearing a suppressor and cuffs on missions, he's still equipped with a suicide collar and watched.
One such method they tried using on Abner was isolation: just enough to break him, but not enough to permanently take him out of commission. For many years, that was effective. Abner, stuck all by himself, left only to his thoughts.
Roger and Marla Elliot - Thomas Elliot (Hush)
childhood:
Roger and Marla met as young adults; Marla broke her ankle in public and the first to rush to her was Roger, despite him only being a nurse and not being well versed in setting bones. Still, she was positively charmed and the two were inseparable after that. Roger is along the lower Gotham elite, while Marla came from a poor household. Both were delighted when Marla fell pregnant with their little Tommy. Unfortunately, Thomas would not be born in good health. Without braces, both his legs and left arm are weak, and sometimes spasm. Thomas also developed scoliosis while growing, and had to wear a brace to correct it so it wouldn't grow into anything worse.
Marla always blamed herself for Tommy's health conditions, believing her own upbringing had something to do with it. Roger did his best to calm her fears, and together they did their best to make sure Tommy felt loved and perfect just the way he was. They never said a word when Thomas chose that name and wanted to be a boy from such an early age, they were just happy to love their child.
Despite this, Tommy found himself dissatisfied even at such a young age. Seeing the gap between him and his new friend Bruce, he craved the affluence he had. The status, hell, he even wished that Thomas and Martha Wayne were his parents instead of Bruces'. He was smarter, always one step ahead. Bruce never seemed threatened by that though, which burned Thomas inside. Thus, Thomas' parents would have to take the blame for everything he deemed wrong in his life. He could have it all if only they were dead. Then he could become the Wayne's son and replace Bruce all together.
Tommy often chose to stay home from events when he didn't feel well, or just didn't want to go. So it wasn't odd when Tommy declined following his parents on a date they had planned for the night. Their driver planned to take them, but Tommy insisted that he parents didn't need assistance for a simple date. They obliged, kissing him goodbye and went on their way. They had no way of knowing that the night before Thomas had snuck into the garage and cut the break lines. When they crashed, Thomas Wayne did his best to save them, to no avail. Tommy's mother lived for a little longer than his father, but ultimately suffered the same fate. Their driver blamed himself. A detective investigated, suspecting the young Thomas, but could never find any evidence or motive, other than the young boy seeming excited despite the loss of his parents.
To Thomas' utter disbelief, the Wayne's did not take him in, offering only sympathy instead. Thomas used the excuse of hanging out with Bruce to come over and subtly hint and them becoming his guardians, but they never seemed to get the hint. The night the Wayne's died, the night Bruce made them go and watch a reshowing of The Mask of Zorro, that last shard of hope Thomas had was lost. Bruce had destroyed his last possibility of becoming their son. It would have been better had Bruce died instead.
From this point on, Thomas shuts his friends out, resentment growing and his plans for revenge grew in the pit of his stomach. A blackened, poisonous plan to take everything that Bruce had, but he had to prepare. He'd study to become the best surgeon in Gotham and replace Bruce when the time was right.
Irving Lynns - Garfield "Fi" Lynns (Firefly)
childhood:
Lynns was born with body deformities that makes them look more bug-like, but also they were born intersex. Like most kids born as such, their parents (mainly father) decided that Lynns was specifically a male and named them Garfield. Lynns mother never really played an active part of their life. She wasn't cold or anything, but she also never made Lynns feel welcome on their rare visits. Generally, it was just Lynns and their father, Irving.
It didn't take Lynns long to decide that that was not how they wanted to be viewed, and pretty adamantly said this to their father to which, after a lot of trying to "convert" Lynns and a lot of back and forth, backed off albeit begrudgingly.
Because of this, Lynns isn't particularly fond of being called Garfield, or restrictive masculine things, although masculinity itself Lynns is not against. As they grew up most of their friends were pretty supportive and understanding, although there are some who view Lynns as just "Fi" and as a female, but they're fine with that. So long as it's not meant to be offensive.
Lynns had regular old prosthetic legs growing up, but as an adult, Lynns made their own legs that were meant to look more bug-like, as they like appearing that way. Lynns was always a pyromaniac and so they became a pyrotechnic for movies as an adult.

is it okay to ask other creators (IF writers for the link)
Hi anon, thank you for your worries! <3
You can ask me again, my shadowban has been lifted rather quickly! But it also would be totally okay to ask others! Most IF writers I interact with regularly are also on the server (as I'm currently in the process of dm'ing/messaging them all to join - but I have to do it a little slower this time so I don't get shadowbanned once more lmao).
Anyway,
DM me if you're an IF writer and want to join a cool server full of other IF writers.

I love how you made Leshy into a ba-Bush-ka
I was talking about it with someone, I absolutely love eastern clothes, I mean I love a lot of "exotic" (for my french ass) fashions, I'm especially interested by oooold ass things. I made a few medieval or fantasy costume a few years ago. I was obviously influenced by a lot of fantasy media that used this kind of things as references. And I weave this into my designs without really thinking. I like capes, I like motifs following the trim of clothes and adorning the corners, I LOVE puffy sleeves, and that + stacking dresses and you end up with a lil babushka.

Less obvious but that's the kind of clothes I draw. WARM

Babushkat sona lol

Mind introject here. Insane to see someone else draw a Mind crow fursona. Mine is also a crow. You are now being hit with the Brilliant Day beam. Much love.
hey hi!!! this makes me so very glad to hear ^_^ and thank you!!! Mind has always been very crow-like to me... not just by how he looks (since he wears all black lol) but also due to how intelligent crows are! and also the fact that crows can remember people who wronged them and will hold resentment for years. that's literally Mind behavior to me
also Mind is this gif of a crow playing in snow to me
#once again thank you!!! I hope you have an awesome day or night too ^_^#in the furry au when Heart sings 'a glow in the snow coming closer to me' Mind is doing this meanwhile <- my truth#answers#based as hell to have a crow fursona also... bird furries are super underrated in my opinion#but I might be biased because I like birds. they are awesome

I don't know if this has been done before lol but I thought of it and I think I kind of associate you as my death note + hazbin moot and wanted to share XD. Alastor as Light's Shinigami instead of Ryuk, always trying to get Light to make deals and in it for the entertainment
I'm honored to be your Death Note & Hazbin mutual! Good to know someone's not too annoyed that I'm cheating on D.N. with it, lol.
I LOVE the idea of him being his shinigami! I think Light would be more annoyed by Alastor than Ryuk and Al would be miffed that not many people can see him (ever the showman/attention craver). Henh, there could be a potential back and forth between him and Light trying to keep his presence hidden.
Light: I will literally be EXECUTED if they find you!! >:(
Alastor: Sounds like a you problem~! :D
He could be so smug and conniving when trying to get Light to make deals with him, but it'd be cool to see that Light is still as set against trading lifespan for powerups. Light's struggling to get a name, and Alastor's just grinning off to the side knowing that his aid is just a deal away~. Maybe become begrudgingly impressed that Light uses his own wits to get his way regardless. They'd have such an interesting dynamic if they were paired together as human and shinigami in the Death Note plot~.

Also a better reason to draw them together~. ^__^
#fantastic idea pyreneese~ *hearts*#answers#humor#crossovers#drawn by me#Death Note#Hazbin Hotel#Alastor#Light Yagami#shinigami#I've drawn them interacting before and this would be the perfect excuse to do so~#helps that Alastor and Ryuk are (allegedly) motivated by boredom and will do whatever will bring them the most entertainment~#I wonder if Alastor would affect L's cameras and audio equipment... where occasionally Light's image goes out of focus and glitches out#potentially making L even more suspicious since it only seems to happen around Light or gripe about the quality of his tech XD#what would be his addiction instead of apples though... venison? human flesh? hmm... I'm starting to think a little too hard about this lol#imagining Alastor listening to Light's God of the New World monologues like how he listened to Charlie in Hello Rosie! *snort*#I haven't really seen it done but I may have just not encountered it. I wouldn't be surprised if someone has done it or something similar~

I kneow were in the middle of talking about the widower au right now (*´ー)ノ but I just imeowgine one of the reincar!dips is on the brink of getting married and then Bill just swoops in and says PSYCH!!! this is my mortal fuck all of you ( ` ω ´ )!!!! or Dip having comphet with a woman and wondering why hes so unfulfilled, then Bill shows up and he has the hugest dilemma in his life I dont kneow if Bill is inclined to share though ack (×_×)⌒☆ like he was there first. technically.
I actually toyed with a concept like this a while back!
Basically: Dipper about to get married to a lady who he really doesn't want to get hitched to, standing at the altar and sweating in his suit, dreading what's going to happen when he says 'I do'.
Only for Bill to burst in with the 'I OBJECT', and for a brief shining moment, Dipper thinks he's saved -
Until Bill shoves the bride out of the way, takes Dipper's hands, turns to the priest and says 'Okay, continue.'
#answers#Bill doesn't object to Dipper getting married#As long as the person he's marrying is BILL#Anyone else gets rudely booted out of the way and is lucky if they survive the process
