THE CONTRACT ᥫ᭡ alex cabot, casey novak x fem!reader

PART ONE
you didn’t expect much when you moved in — just a fresh start, a quiet place, and maybe some privacy. but the neighbors next door are nothing like you imagined, and they’ve been watching you just as closely as you’ve watched them. one night, they offer you a contract — clear, structured, and full of promises you’ve only ever dreamed of obeying.

You moved into the apartment next to theirs about a month ago. It wasn’t anything fancy — just a quiet street, tall brownstones, and a front door that didn’t stick when you turned the key. The place smelled like fresh paint and dust, and for the first time, it was just yours. No roommates, no shared kitchen, no socks left in the sink that weren’t yours. You were proud of that, even if most nights you sat cross-legged on the floor eating microwave dinners and calling it dinner.
But from the very first day, what stood out the most wasn’t the freedom. It was them.
They lived next door in a unit that always smelled like red wine and something floral — jasmine, maybe — and everything about them felt like another world.
You met Alex first. She was tall, with long blonde hair pulled back into something sleek and sharp, like she never had a strand out of place. Her heels clicked when she walked. Her suits were always dark and perfect, the fabric hugging her like it belonged there. She looked like someone important. Not just rich — dangerous. Like she could destroy you with a sentence and still say it gently. You passed her on the stairs with a box in your arms and she said, “You must be the new neighbor,” in a voice that made your knees go weak. You smiled too wide and said something dumb and tried not to stare at her mouth.
A day or two later, you saw Casey. She was different. Where Alex was composed, Casey was wild. Auburn curls that bounced when she walked, worn leather jackets and faded jeans that clung to her hips. Her eyes were green and sharp and playful, and her laugh — god, her laugh — it echoed through the hallways sometimes, deep and genuine and totally unfiltered. She called you “kid” the first time she saw you fumbling with your mailbox and winked before walking off. You stood there holding your mail and blushing for longer than you wanted to admit.
They were older. Definitely older. Maybe fifteen years, maybe more. You never asked, but you could feel it. Not in a bad way — it wasn’t about wrinkles or numbers. It was something in the way they moved, the way they looked at you like they already knew what you were going to say before you said it. They weren’t trying to figure life out anymore. They already had. And now they were watching you figure it out.
You didn’t mean to stare. Not really. But you did.
In the mornings, Casey would stretch on the front steps with her headphones in, tight tank tops riding up her stomach, skin shiny with sweat. You’d pretend to be checking your phone while your eyes followed the curve of her back, the way her sports bra dug into her skin.
And in the evenings, you’d hear the click of Alex’s heels before you saw her — always coming home after dark, always composed. Sometimes she’d stand out on the small shared balcony with a glass of wine and a cigarette in one hand, her eyes scanning the street like she was watching a case play out in her mind. Sometimes they were both out there, talking low, wine glasses in their hands, and you’d watch from behind your blinds, barely breathing, feeling like a pervert but unable to look away.
At night, you couldn’t stop thinking about them.
You’d close your eyes and imagine their hands on you — Alex holding you still with that quiet authority, whispering rules in your ear while you trembled under her gaze. Casey grinning, her voice low and filthy, her fingers inside you as she told you not to come until she said. You imagined being between them, both of them using you, teasing you, praising you.
You’d touch yourself with your face pressed into your pillow, hips grinding against your hand, their names tangled on your tongue in gasps and moans. Sometimes you came quickly. Other nights, you edged yourself until you were aching, imagining how they’d make you beg.
It was a fantasy. A deep one. An addictive one. You kept telling yourself that’s all it would ever be.
But then one afternoon, you found a package on your doorstep. Small. Brown paper. Neatly labeled — but it wasn’t for you. It had Alex’s name on it. You stared at it, heart skipping for reasons you couldn’t explain, and you stood there holding it for too long before finally knocking on their door.
Alex answered almost immediately.
She wasn’t in her usual suit this time. Just a soft white blouse with the sleeves rolled up to her forearms, the top two buttons undone. Her hair was pulled back loosely, a few pieces framing her face. She looked… soft, in a way that made your stomach flutter. But her eyes were sharp as ever. She looked at the box in your hands, then at your face, and smiled — not a warm smile. Not a neighborly one. Something else.
“Come in,” she said.
You didn’t even think. You stepped inside.
The air smelled like their place always did — wine, vanilla, something floral — but stronger, closer. The music was soft in the background, jazz playing low from a speaker. Everything was neat, but not sterile. The couch had a blanket tossed across it, a pair of wine glasses sat half-finished on the table. You felt like you’d stepped into a secret.
Casey was leaning against the kitchen counter, barefoot, in tight jeans and a black tank top. She looked you up and down and grinned. “Told you she’d show up.”
You tried to say something — maybe laugh, maybe ask a question — but your throat was tight. The air felt thick. Charged. This didn’t feel like returning a package. It felt like something was already happening.
In the middle of the room, on the dining table, was a single sheet of paper. Next to it, a pen. You stepped closer and looked down.
The title stopped your breath.
Mutual Consent & Exploration Agreement
You stared at it, not understanding.
Then Alex moved behind you. Her presence was quiet, but it wrapped around you like heat.
“We’ve seen the way you look at us,” she said. Her voice was low, close to your ear.
Casey pushed off the counter and came to stand in front of you. “We like the way you look,” she said, tilting her head. “Shy. Hungry. Like you don’t know what to do with yourself.”
Alex’s hand brushed your shoulder. “We’re offering you something. Not a fling. Not a game. Real control. Real structure. Real pleasure. If you want it.”
Casey tapped the paper. “It’s simple. Consent. Boundaries. Rules. You give yourself to us — when we say. You let us take control. Use you. Own you. Safely. Completely.”
Your mouth was dry. Your thighs pressed together. Your heart was pounding so loud you barely heard her next words.
“You don’t have to sign it. You can walk away. But if you don’t — if you do sign — you’re ours. Evenings. Weekends. Whatever we decide. And we’ll take care of everything.”
Casey’s fingers slid along your wrist. Her touch was warm, electric.
“Unless,” she added, voice dropping, “this was just a fantasy. Something you did under the covers, thinking of us.”
You looked up at her, startled. Her smirk said she already knew the answer.
Your fingers trembled as they reached for the pen.
Alex’s hand stayed on your shoulder, firm and steady.
“You’re making the right choice,” she whispered.
You’re still holding the pen, but now you’re aware of how your palm is starting to sweat. You shift slightly in the chair, legs crossed too tightly, heart thudding like it’s echoing through the walls. The words on the page in front of you are precise, formal — but there’s nothing dry about them. Not with Alex watching you from one side, and Casey was now circling the table like she’s deciding whether to kiss you or devour you.
“You’re quiet,” Casey murmurs, stopping behind you. Her hand brushes the back of your chair. “Is that nervous silence, or dirty daydreaming?”
You manage a shaky laugh and glance up at her over your shoulder. “Both?”
Casey grins. “Cute answer.”
Alex’s voice is smooth, low. “It’s the right one.”
You look between them — these two women who feel like too much and just enough all at once. You take a breath and try to steady your voice. “I’ve… never done anything like this before.”
Alex raises a brow but doesn’t look surprised. “Something like this…” she repeats gently, leaning in, “as in submission? Or just being in bed with two older women who want to ruin you properly?”
Your face heats instantly, but your thighs tighten instinctively, too.
Casey whistles softly. “Damn, she is cute when she blushes. You know,” she adds, moving to lean over the table in front of you, “that’s not a deal-breaker. It’s a bonus.”
You try to find words, something to hold onto. “I’ve thought about it. A lot. I’ve just never… done anything. With anyone. Not really.”
Alex stands, slow and deliberate, and walks around the table. Her fingers brush your chin, tilting it up until your eyes meet hers. “That’s not a flaw,” she says. “It just means your first real experience will be exactly how we want it to be — intense, controlled, careful. Memorable.”
Casey leans on the table beside you, close enough that you feel her warmth along your arm. “And you’ll have two very, very attentive teachers.”
You exhale slowly, chest rising too fast. “So I’d be… yours?”
“For as long as you want to be,” Alex says.
“For as long as we can make you beg to stay,” Casey adds, eyes gleaming.
The teasing makes your core ache. You squeeze your thighs and try not to squirm, but they notice. Of course they notice.
“You’re already halfway there,” Casey murmurs, her gaze dropping. “We haven’t even touched you properly yet.”
“You’ll learn,” Alex says, still holding your chin. “You’ll learn how to breathe for us. How to open for us. How to ask for more when you can’t take any more. And we’ll be right there — every moment. Making sure you’re ready. Making sure it’s right.”
Your lips part, but no sound comes out. There’s only heat, thick and humming inside you.
“Sign it,” Casey says softly. “We’ll take care of everything after that.”
You don’t think. You just lower the pen, let your hand move across the line, and sign your name.
The moment the ink dries, Alex takes the paper. There’s a slight smile on her lips — the kind that says she’s been waiting for this.
“Good girl,” she says.
And it lands inside you like a shock, a thrill, a reward.
Casey’s hand slides across your thigh, warm and slow.
“Now,” she murmurs, “let’s see what our new plaything’s made of.”

As move in day approached, you packed all of your things into neat boxes, placing them into the removal van before driving towards your new appartement. With it being so close you looked forward to the new environment but where glad of the safety net you had created being alone. After your promotion you were starting a new job at the Manhattan DA’s office, looking forward to meeting your new colleagues and getting out of the homicide department.
Arriving at your new apartment, you unloaded the boxes, stacking them in the elevator and walking them through the marble hallways, alone as usual. After a tiresome few hours, you decided to take a break, walking out onto the shared rooftop of your new home, hoping to meet some of the buildings tenants. Stepping out and admiring the beautiful views of the city, you noticed three gorgeous women drinking champagne from sophisticated flutes with strawberries on the rim. Their outfits screamed elegance and refinement, specifically the blonde you spotted, glasses perched on her nose as she laughed with the other blonde and redhead. Feeling newly self-conscious of your messy hair, wide-leg joggers, and red sports bra, you decided on going back inside to change, quickly lighting a cigarette before you did.
As you were sat finishing your cigarette, the smoking releasing and rising from your glossy lips, the younger blonde approached, catching you off guard. “Hey, you must be our new neighbour, I’m Amanda.” She seemed genuine, offering you a sweet smile, her slight southern twang eliciting her lips as you made general chit chat. Soon the ladies she was with approached. There were definitely more dominate, they exuded confidence, and you were entranced by their flawless features. “These are my partners, Alex and Casey.” Amanda stated looking up at them with a smirk. The redhead stood over you both, “What’s a pretty little thing like you doing lifting all these boxes alone?” She asked curious, but you could tell they had an ulterior motive. “Oh, I don’t have anyone else, just me. I’m y/n by the way, its lovely to meet you all.” You said with feigned confidence as the two older women looked at you, grins on their lips.
Since you and Amanda seemed to have already built a repour you could tell she was eager to please, “It’s lovely to meet you too y/n. Would you like a hand? My partners and I don’t mind, if it means getting to know you a little better.” She winked as a blush covered your pale cheeks. “Are you sure I really wouldn’t want to be of any trouble or stop you from your plans.” You questioned sincerely, not wanting to seem ingenuine to your new neighbours. Alex stepped forwards placing a hand on your back, making you shudder at the contact, she smiled, “Of course honey, can’t have you lifting these all on your own, wouldn’t want you to get hurt now, would we?” You blushed shyly at her commanding nature as Casey stepped in, “Well, I mean...” she smirked raising her eyebrows and Alex chuckled and Amanda gasped, Casey holding tightly onto her arm. Amanda shot you a look blushing, as you did too. The dominance of such beautiful women had you clenching your thighs already, and unable to meet their piercing gaze. Amanda stuttered out as Casey firmly gripped her arm, “Umm I guess we should make a start on these boxes then?” You nodded eagerly wanting the moving process to be over with. Once they were moved inside, you finally could start to unpack. “Okay honey, Casey is making us dinner later if you would like to come and eat with us? You’ve been busy moving, which is stressful, how about you let us alleviate some of that and help you relax.” Alex asked, but you could tell it was more of a command. “Are you sure, I don’t want to intrude?” She nodded and both Amanda and Casey seemed overjoyed at the invitation. “Well thank you then, that would be lovely.”
With that the two older ladies ushered Amanda out of the door and across to their apartment, Alex placed a playful slap to Amanda’s ass as Casey kept her strong grip on her arm, guiding her possessively across the hallway. There was something about their dynamic that enthralled you, and something about their dominance that pulled you closer to them. As time passed, you quickly showered, slipping into a red matching set, and pulled on a black satin dress, as the weather was warm. You felt a little overdressed, but you knew they had their own specific dress senses, and you wanted to show off yours. Once it was time to go, you pulled on your docs and laced them up before knocking gently at their apartment. Amanda came to the door greeting you, “Hey y/n, I’m so glad you came.” Amanda said pulling you into a hug. She was also in a dress, though hers was floral, you felt suddenly less overdressed and ready for the occasion.
Casey noticed your attire straight away, “Aww y/n you look nice, doesn’t she Alex.” Alex offered you a smile as Casey continued, her eyes noticeably darkening, “You remind us of our Amanda, so willing to please, trying so hard to behave.” You laughed nervously as a blush covered your cheeks again. Alex spoke confidently, “Yes you do look adorable, and those wide innocent eyes are just so gorgeous. You’re really something you know that y/n.” You thanked them for their kindness and hospitality, as you were guided over to the table. “Lets have some of the food that Casey prepared for us and then we can get to know each other better.” Amanda asked looking between her partners and you. “I’d like that.” You said a little hesitant, but it seemed to pull smiles from those around the table as you ate. Hours passed and the wine flowed, the conversation became more suggestive, but you like that about them. “Since its late y/n would you like to spend the night? We love to see more of you.” Casey winked suggestively. “I’d like that too, Casey.” At the mention of her name her eyes darkened again, a glint forming as Amanda began squirming in her seat. Alex placed a hand over yours squeezing it slightly before commanding, “Well than Amanda will show you want to do. I want you both upstairs, lying across the bed by the time we get there.” As you both got up she stopped you, “Oh and leave you underwear on, I’d like to see how ruined they are when we get there.” Alex did not flinch once and neither did Casey who sat across the table sipping her wine. “Now Amanda make mommy proud, and show y/n how to be a good girl for us.” Alex winked finally as Amanda grabbed your hand tugging you to the bedroom.
Once you made it to the bedroom Amanda and you entwined yourself, her lips connecting to yours as you stripped each other of your clothes and lay on the bed, splayed out and breathless. Your nerves were getting the better of you realising you had never done this before and Amanda could sense that. “It’s okay I promise, I’ll tell them, and they’ll be soft with you.” Amanda reassured, and the pressure you felt was alleviated partially. As Alex and Casey emerged through the door, wearing only lingerie you breath hitched in your throat, taking in the sight as Amanda spoke, “Mommy?” Alex nodded, “Yes sweetie?” before Amanda was allowed to continue, “It’s y/n’s first time, so she’s a little nervous.” Casey nodded reassuringly, “That’s okay sweetheart, we’ll take it easy I promise and if you need to stop, say ‘red,’ that will bring an immediate stop, and we’ll make sure your okay.” You nodded a response, but Casey reached over grabbing your chin, “Use your words please, baby.” You squirmed at her dominance wanting desperately to please. “Yes...Casey?” She nodded, “It’s mistress to you, my good girl.”
Soon Alex crawled up the bed, towering over you, mirroring Casey’s movements over Amanda. Alex’s strap was pressed firmly against your core, rubbing between your thighs, as your eyes widened at the size, yet your hips betrayed you, bucking against her. You desperately wanted her to fill you up and fuck you, but you were also nervous. Alex spoke, “What is it my baby? Is mommy’s strap too big for you, are you going to let me stretch you out and fuck you like the good girl you are?” Taking all your courage to respond you finally spoke, “I need it mommy, I need you to fill me up and fuck me, hard please.” You pleaded with her eager to submit, and you clearly did something right as Alex and Casey exchanged glances, while Amanda elicited a needy whine from her throat. Alex bit her lip as Amanda looked over at you. Soon Alex sheathed herself into you slowly, allowing you to adjust to her size. Her pace eventually quickened, her thrusts getting harder and hitting the at the perfect angle. As she began pounding into you, you could feel the knot in your stomach tightening, as an overwhelming tingling sensation racked through your body, your arms thrashed, but Alex simple grasped both wrists pushing them above your head onto the bed as her other hand remained tightly on your hip, her thrusts fucking into your hole as you moaned, unable to control your volume.
“Mommy, ugh I need, I need to cum, please let me cum for you.” Alex hummed as you could see Casey fucking Amanda, as they both looked at your body shaking. “Cum for mommy, its your rewards for being such a good girl.” With her permission she held you down, fucking you through your orgasm as you came over her, squirting from the angle. “Oh fuck, thank you.” You whined as Alex pulled out of you, the feeling of emptiness not lasting long as Casey thrust into you. “Mhm ahh too much mistress I can’t...fuck.” You moaned at the overstimulation, your body spent from the orgasm Alex had given you. But Casey kept pounding into you, “Fuck honey you’re so tight, mistress strap is stretching you out, huh?” Casey groaned out, nearing her own peak. Soon coming from the strap rubbing against her clit. “Fuck, such a good girl for us baby.” Casey pulled out, instructing Amanda straight away to help you, “Amanda baby come here and be a good girl. Clean up y/n please.” Amanda reached over, trailing her head between your legs, looking up at you as she ran her tongue through your slit. You moaned out at the feeling, “ugh feels so good,’ you moaned as you tangled your hand in her hair, pushing her closer as she whined, causing a tingling sensation to rack through your body. Amanda pulled away when she was satisfied, and Casey pulled her into her lap, kissing her forehead and praising her. You watched as Casey pulled her into a kiss, moaning at your taste on her tongue, “Fuck y/n you taste so good.”
Alex sat propped up against the headboard watching as they kissed, her stap still clearly on under her satin chemise, she motioned for you come and cuddle into her and you decided to take your chance, winking at Amanda before raising your hips and sliding her strap back into you before resting against her chest. “Mhm needed to feel you inside me mommy.” Alex placed soft kisses across your forehead making her way down to your earlobe nipping it, “Mommy’s little strapwarmer, such a good girl y/n.” You hips bucked at her praise as the words shot straight to your core. “Mmm Casey looks like someone still needs fucked.” She winked at your neediness for her as she bucked her hips up slightly, “Such a needy girl.”

I've got you.
Pairings: Casey Novak x reader.
Summary: Casey Novak's past definitely changed something in her, changed so many aspects of her life, there were so many things she thought she'd never be able to do again, like love someone or be loved. But that changed completely when she met the very clingy and lovely y/n.
A/n: This was requested by an anon, they requested some prompts and I tried to use them as best as I could; "The hugs that have you tugging them closer and closer to you that now both of you have trouble breathing and then pulling away laughing", "Snuggling up to you while wearing your hoodie that they look so cute in". I hope I did this right, because I feel like this is not exactly good, but here it is, some cute Casey fluff🥹 And I promise that more Calex, more Alex, and more Casey are coming soon. I'll try to finish the requests I have, and hopefully there will be more to come. Hope you guys enjoy this, leave comments, hearts, whatever you like and reblog so this gets some love🫶🏻

Throughout her whole life, Casey Novak was the type of girl that was energetic, her mother would say she was full of life. She was the kind of kid that loved hugging people, loved to make people smile and laugh, she had always been a happy kid. Growing up, she hasn’t changed much, she was still pretty much full of happiness and life, even if there were a lot of things going on, she still tried to keep that cheery energy she always had. That was until she started questioning so many things in her life, and then by college, she met Charlie. Things seemed to be alright, she had met someone that loved her and that accepted her for who she was; at least, that’s what she thought the first few months. She sometimes hated to admit that she was a clingy person, but she just wanted to show her partner love, but he pushed her away, he told her it was exhausting how energetic and cheery she was, and that’s when Casey started changing completely.
After Charlie, Casey didn’t really believe in love, she didn’t really trust many people, she never felt like opening up to them, showing that side of her that she had loved. She focused more on getting where she had dreamt of, and then focus on her job. And that’s how it went for a while. Joining Sex Crimes had brought so many memories back, she really didn’t think how hard the job would be until she had her first few cases. She tried to act tough, she tried for the cases not to get to her, even if after getting home, she’d do nothing more than cry. It was hard. But it was her job. And then, she met y/n.
It had been a random day, Casey was not even supposed to be having lunch at that time, but her arraignment had ended before time and so she decided to take the opportunity to get some lunch. Her card had declined, and she had forgotten to carry cash, but an angel had showed up that day and was kind enough to pay for Casey’s lunch. And that’s how it all started. After almost two months of coffee dates, lunch dates, dinner dates, etc., they finally made it official, which, it was a true surprise for Casey, because she never really expected that she’d be this happy again; no…she never expected she could actually be this happy, because this was like nothing else she ever knew. This was entirely a new feeling, which scared her the most, but partly, she was willing to try this, even if at the end…this could end bad.
It had been a few months since they both had made it official, they both couldn’t be happier with their relationship, already having their routines, seeing each other every possible chance, even the squad noticed Casey’s change, which…made them happy to see her happy, though it wasn’t confirmed, they had an idea of what was going on. Casey had been working throughout the whole day, arraignment after arraignment, she had a trial, and then paperwork, so all day long, she had been busy. The last thing she had expected was for her girlfriend to show up at work. She had been distracted with paperwork that she didn’t notice her girlfriend leaning over the doorframe, smiling as she stared at Casey. She then knocked on the door and her smile widened as Casey looked up at her.
“You’re here.” Casey smiled as she dropped her pen and stood up.
Y/n chuckled softly as she walked inside the office. “Of course I am. I saw your text, and I was sure that you wouldn’t eat dinner and just stay here.” She smiled softly as she placed the bag of food on the table and then walked to Casey, wrapping her arms around Casey’s waist.
Casey chuckled softly as she wrapped her arms around her neck and kissed her forehead. “And you had to be my knight in shining armor.”
“Always.” Y/n smiled as she pecked her lips and then hugged her tightly, burying her face in Casey’s neck.
Years ago, Casey would have been the one to give a hug like this, one where she tightly wrapped her arms around them, but she couldn’t even remember the last time she had hugged someone like this. The first time y/n hugged her like that, she had felt a bit odd about it and had felt bad about it, but she didn’t tell y/n. But the more y/n, the more Casey got used to it…the more she loved those hugs. Y/n squeezed, making Casey ‘dramatically’ gasp and they slowly pulled away, Casey’s arms slipping from her neck to be replaced by her hands, laughing as she leaned her forehead against y/n’s.
Casey pecked her lips softly and then smiled. “I’m glad you’re here. You’re…staying, right?” She looked into her eyes, a hint of hope in her own.
Y/n’s smile widened. “You really thought I’d leave you here alone? I brought my own work with me, need to grade some tests.”
Casey’s heart warmed at her words, her own smile widening. “Good, let’s eat first and then we get to work.”
Y/n nodded. “Sounds great to me.”
********************
It was Casey’s turn to do dinner tonight, it was their second week in their new apartment. Casey would be lying if she said she was not afraid at first of taking this big step in their relationship, the last time she had been in this situation, she had felt like she had lost part of herself. But after all, she had been the one suggesting this, because she had pictured herself living with y/n, waking up next to her, being breakfast to bed and just enjoying their free days together. No planning on ‘today at yours, tomorrow at mine’, it was now ‘I’ll see you home’. Casey was finishing up dinner when she felt arms wrapping around her, making her chuckle softly.
“You should be in bed, I’m almost done with dinner.” Casey smiled as she looked at her over her shoulder.
Y/n sighed as she rested her chin on Casey’s shoulder. “But I’ve slept enough. C’mon, Case. I’m feeling better. It was just the flu shot.”
“And yet, you got the flu.” Casey chuckled softly as she turned in y/n’s arms. “Are you sure you’re feeling better?”
Y/n nodded. “Yeah…just…missing you in bed.” She smiled softly.
Casey chuckled as she leaned down and kissed her forehead. “You’re adorable, you know?” She then wrapped her arms around y/n’s waist and hugged her tightly, burying her face in the crook of her neck.
“C-Case! Can’t breathe!” Y/n laughed softly as she wrapped her arms around Casey’s neck.
“Oops?” Casey laughed softly as she pulled away enough to look down at y/n, smiling softly. “Get back in bed and I’ll bring dinner?”
“Dinner will be…you?” Y/n grinned.
“Nice try, you still look tired, baby. But…” Casey pecked her lips softly. “…maybe tomorrow, when you feel better.”
Y/n chuckled. “How come you get to take care of me, but I can never take care of you?” She raised her brow as she stared at Casey.
Casey sighed. “Because I don’t need to be taken care of. I’m a big girl.” She smirked.
“Oh, and I’m not?”
“You’re my baby.” Casey said softly as she leaned down to kiss her lips softly. Before she gave it a second thought, she picked up y/n in bridal style, laughing again as y/n squealed and wrapped her arms around her neck.
“Casey! Put me down!” Y/n laughed softly.
“Nope, taking you back to bed so we can have dinner and watch movies.”
Casey had talked about it with y/n before, she liked to take care of her girlfriend, she liked to be the person that she needed, the person she looked for, and now that they were living together, Casey got to do all that and more, and she loved how happy y/n was. And she was happy too, she was the happiest she has ever been, but…she was still afraid to open up, she was still afraid to show that side of her where she needed someone, where she wanted nothing but being wrapped around their arms. It was frustrating, because she enjoyed when y/n showered her with love, when she was being clingy, when she wanted nothing more than have Casey hugging her or cuddling her, but then she overthought about it, and she thought that soon enough all of that would end, once Casey opened up more, y/n would leave.
********************
It was finals season, so Casey knew that y/n would be extra busy, which resulted in Casey hiding the fact that she had been feeling sick the last two days. She woke up pretty early in the morning to leave, and come back home pretty late so y/n wouldn’t notice this. She now sat at her desk, her hands buried in her hair and her eyes closed as she tried to ignore the agonizing headache. She groaned softly as she heard a knock on the door, looking up to find Olivia walking into the office.
“Case…are you okay?” Olivia asked softly as she furrowed her brows.
“I uh…yeah. I’m perfectly fine.” Casey nodded. “You need something?”
Olivia tilted her head as she smiled. “You’re sick, aren’t you?”
Casey sighed as she rubbed her face. “Stress and weather didn’t exactly agree.”
“Yeah, well, is that time of the year.” Olivia chuckled. “Why don’t you go home?”
“Because…I’m fine.” Casey shrugged as she grabbed her pen and tried to go back to her paperwork.
“Has anyone ever told you that you’re stubborn?” Olivia grinned.
Casey looked back at Olivia, grinning softly. “Just a couple of times.”
“Why don’t you go home?”
Casey sighed softly. “My girlfriend will find out that I’m sick.”
Olivia raised her brows. “And…that’s a problem…why?”
“I don’t want her to worry.”
“She’s your girlfriend. She should worry, and-“
“I don’t want to be a burden to her, I…I become…annoying when I’m sick. I just…” Casey sighed. “I don’t know. It’s a lot.”
“Charlie. Right?” Olivia sat down in one of the chairs as she stared at Casey.
Casey looked up at Olivia as she nibbled on her lip. “Yeah.”
Olivia nodded. “For what you’ve told me about your girlfriend, she really does love you, Casey. And you know what I think? That she’d do anything for you, just like you’d do anything for her. And you showing that you need her…that’s not gonna change the way she thinks about you. I think she’ll be happy that you need her.”
Casey stared at her for a moment, her eyes getting watery as she nodded. “I used to be a person who would love to hug people, you know? Who would…who would be such a cheery and happy person. And I love making y/n smile and laugh. God, she looks so beautiful when she’s smiling.” She huffed a chuckle. “And I’m afraid that if I’m clingier…she’ll just…I don’t know…”
“She’ll love it. Because she loves you for you.”
Casey smiled softly as she tried to hold back her tears. “So, you don’t need anything from me?”
Olivia shook her head. “Go home and call your girlfriend.”
Casey didn’t take long before she chose to listen to Olivia. She grabbed all of her stuff and before she left, she headed to Elizabeth’s office to let her know she was leaving. Once she got home, she sighed heavily as she felt odd, this was not like her but in reality, she really did feel bad. She texted y/n and went ahead to change into comfortable clothes. She thought about making some tea and taking some pills to feel better, but as she took her time to do her normal routine after work, she heard the door opening and closing, making her walk out of their room confused as to how fast y/n had come home.
“Y/n? I texted you like…20 min ago.”
Y/n nodded. “And you thought I’d just ignore your text and come until later? Case, why didn’t you tell me you were sick?” She said softly as she put her stuff away, taking her shoes off before walking to Casey, placing her hand carefully on her forehead. “God, you’re burning up, Case.”
Casey chuckled softly. “It’s not as bad as it looks.”
Y/n tilted her head as she smiled a little. “Oh, here comes stubborn Novak.”
Casey gasped as she smiled a little. “What are you talking about?”
“You’re gonna say you’re fine, that you just need to sleep, and then you won’t let me do anything for you.” Y/n raised her brow as she grinned.
Casey stared at her and sighed softly, her hands going to y/n’s waist to pull her closer. “You’re right. But…I do need you.”
Y/n’s face softened as she stared at Casey, a smile appearing on her face. “You do?”
Casey nodded as she smiled. She leaned down as she tugged y/n closer, burying her face in the crook of her neck. Suddenly, she felt emotional and once again, her eyes started watering. Y/n furrowed her brows as she wrapped her arms around Casey, cradling her head and running her fingers through her hair. She suddenly felt Casey’s body trembling and that’s when she understood. Y/n sighed softly as she held Casey, holding her tighter and kissing her head.
“Talk to me?” Y/n whispered softly.
“I-I need you. And I’m…I was…I was afraid if I told you…you’d see the mess I was. I didn’t want you to figure out that…that what I went through had caused me so much pain and trauma.” Casey sniffled, her voice cracking with every word. “But I need you. And I want to open up to you. And right now…right now I feel so bad. I feel…my whole body hurts badly.”
Y/n’s heart broke; Casey had cried in front of her before, she had been a little vulnerable, but not like this. Never like this. “Baby…nothing could ever make me change the way I see you or think about you. I love you. So much.” She kissed her head again and sighed softly.
Casey pulled away enough to look at her, tears rolling down her cheeks. “You mean it?”
Y/n smiled. “You know…when you think I’m sleeping…I can feel you pulling me closer to you. And at times, you do it unconsciously.” She huffed a chuckle as she wiped her tears. “I know I’ve seen most of you, maybe not all of it but…I want to. I want to know Casey. The good and the bad. Whatever you have to give…I want it.”
Casey smiled through her tears. “Even if I’m clingier than you?”
Y/n chuckled. “Oh, we gonna have competition now?”
Casey shrugged. “Maybe so.” She smiled softly.
“Then be it, Novak. You win in court, I win here.” Y/n chuckled softly as she leaned in and pecked her lips softly. “So…will you let me take care of you?”
Casey smiled as she nodded. “Please? I’m…so tired. I just want to lay in bed and cuddle you.”
Y/n smiled, running her hand through Casey’s hair. “Then let’s go to bed. But, let me get the thermometer first and some medicine.”
Casey nodded. “Sure.”
Y/n kissed the tip of her nose and was about to move to the kitchen but before she did, she grabbed Casey’s hand and stopped her from walking away, furrowing her brows. “You’re…are you wearing my hoodie?” She smiled softly.
Casey looked down at the hoodie and then up at y/n, smiling shyly. “You mind?”
Y/n’s smile widened, and she shook her head, leaning in and kissing her dimple. “Not at all. You look beautiful in it. I love seeing you in it.”
Casey smiled and then walked back to their bedroom. Once y/n got everything she needed, she walked to their room and checked on Casey before she laid in bed with her. Y/n knew there was so much they had to talk about, but right now, right in this moment, she just wanted to hold Casey. The way Casey had wrapped her arms around her middle, buried her face in her neck, tightening her arms around her every now and then…y/n could get used to this. She wanted this forever, she loved Casey so much that she’d do anything for her. She was ready to love Casey.

Late Nights
Calex x Daughter!Reader
Summary: You and Alex have trouble getting to sleep so the two of you play games while you let Casey rest.
———
The apartment was quiet except for the occasional hum of the refrigerator and the distant sounds of New York City nightlife filtering through the closed windows. The soft glow of a lamp on the side table cast shadows around the living room, creating a cozy, dimly lit, environment.
Alex sat on the couch, her eyes heavy with fatigue but her mind refusing to let her rest. Insomnia had become an unwelcome but not unfamiliar companion, making the nights feel endless. She glanced at the clock on the wall—it was nearing 2 AM. Beside her, you were sitting restlessly. You were going through a sleep regression, waking up multiple times each night and demanding attention. It was exhausting for both Alex and Casey, but Alex insisted on letting her wife sleep.
Casey had been through a particularly gruelling week at work with back-to-back cases, uncooperative witnesses, endless paperwork and very many court sessions demanding every ounce of her energy and focus and Alex knew she needed her rest. She had promised herself that she would let Casey sleep through the night, even if it meant staying up and keeping you entertained. It’s not like she could sleep anyway.
You squirmed on the couch, your tiny fingers clutching your favourite stuffed duck. "Mummy, want Mama," you whispered, your voice plaintive.
Alex smoothed back your soft hair and kissed your forehead. "Mama needs to sleep, sweetheart. She's had a tough week. How about we play a quiet game instead?"
You pouted but nodded, your tired eyes shimmering with curiosity. Alex reached for a stack of picture cards she kept nearby for such moments. They were simple, colourful illustrations of animals, objects, and scenes designed to capture a toddler's attention.
"Okay, Y/N, let's play 'Find the Animal.' I'll describe an animal, and you have to find the right card. Ready?" Alex explained.
Your eyes lit up, and you sat up straighter. "Ready!"
"Alright," Alex said, suppressing a yawn. "This animal has a long neck and eats leaves from tall trees. Can you find it?"
Your face scrunched in concentration as you sifted through the cards. "Giraffe!" you exclaimed, holding up the correct card.
"That's right! Good job!" Alex praised in a whisper, feeling a small burst of pride despite her exhaustion.
The both of you continued the game, your giggles and excited answers filling the quiet room. As the minutes ticked by, Alex found herself smiling more and worrying less about the late hour. This moment, despite the fatigue and the challenges, felt precious.
Eventually, your energy began to wane, your movements slower and your eyelids drooping. Alex gently guided you to lie down on the couch, covering you with a soft baby blanket. She sang a lullaby in a hushed tone, hoping to lull you into sleep.
But you were not ready to give up just yet. "Mummy, want Mama," you murmured again, reaching out with your tiny hand.
Alex took your hand in hers, holding it gently. "I know, my love. Mama will be here in the morning. How about we count the stars on the ceiling? That can be our game until you fall asleep."
You nodded, your eyes already half-closed. Alex gently lifted you to rest on her chest and began to count in a soothing voice, pointing to the glow-in-the-dark stars they had stuck on the ceiling months ago. Slowly but surely, your breathing evened out, and you drifted off to sleep.
Alex sighed in relief, her own eyelids feeling unbearably heavy. She leaned back on the couch, intending to stay awake a little longer to make sure you were truly asleep. But the warmth of your little body on her chest and the soft hum of the TV lulled her into a deep, much-needed sleep.
———
When Casey emerged from the bedroom the next morning, she was greeted by the sight of you and Alex curled up together on the couch, both sound asleep. She smiled tenderly, her heart swelling with love and gratitude.
Quietly, Casey walked over and draped a blanket over Alex, who stirred slightly but didn’t wake. She kissed the both of you on the forehead before walking into the kitchen to start breakfast, feeling more refreshed and awake than she had in days.
As the smell of coffee filled the air, Alex's eyes fluttered open. She looked around, momentarily disoriented, before her gaze settled on Casey bustling in the kitchen. You were still asleep on her chest, clutching your stuffed duck.
"Morning," Alex whispered, careful not to wake you.
"Morning," Casey replied, leaning down to kiss Alex's forehead again. "You should go back to sleep. I've got Y/N."
Alex shook her head, stifling a yawn. "It's okay. I'm already up." She carefully disentangled herself from you, which earned her a quiet, sleepy whimper.
Casey nodded, giving her a soft smile. "How did it go last night?"
Alex stretched, feeling the remnants of fatigue in her muscles but also a sense of accomplishment. "We managed. Y/N/N had a hard time settling, but we played some games, and she eventually fell asleep."
Casey walked over with a cup of coffee, handing it to Alex. "Thank you for letting me sleep. I know it hasn't been easy."
Alex took a grateful sip of the coffee, savouring the warmth. "You're welcome. You needed the rest. Besides, it wasn’t like I could fall asleep anyway."
You suddenly stirred, your eyes fluttering open. You looked up at Alex, then over at Casey, a sleepy smile spreading across your face. "Mama!"
Casey scooped you into her arms, showering you with kisses. "Good morning, baby. Did you have fun with Mummy last night?"
You nodded, still half-asleep. "We play 'Find the Animal' and counted stars."
Casey looked over at Alex, her eyes filled with love before she looked back down at you. "Wow! That sounds like so much fun."
As the three of you sat together, enjoying the quiet morning and each other's company, the tiredness of the night before disappeared.

Perfection (Casey Novak x Alex Cabot)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A/N: Another day, another Calex fic :p But I am thinking of writing more than just Calex; what do you guys think?🤔 I have an idea for an Alex x reader fic that I want to make beautifully devastating and angsty, but it will probably be a bit lengthy, so stay tuned!
Warnings: 18+/ NSFW content ahead! Also brief-ish depictions of a fictional SVU case.
Word Count: 2.7k
Summary: Alex has always prided herself on maintaining her image of polished perfection, but with Casey, can she feel free to be herself?
Alex and Casey have been together for slightly over two months. And Alex is whipped.
Alex adores everything Casey does and still can’t quite get over how lucky she feels. Every day is a dream, and she never wants to wake up. Alexandra Cabot never imagined herself to be one to gush over anyone like a schoolgirl, but with Casey, all preconceived notions of what she wanted or what she deemed as reasonable behavior were thrown out the window.
Since they made things official, the couple has spent nearly every day (and many intimate nights) together. However, because both ADAs are swamped with complex, onerous cases, the pair have gone an entire week without being with one another for a meaningful amount of time. The most time that they’d share would be crossing paths in the D.A.’s office or quick, shared lunches.
The time apart was driving Alex mad.
She wondered how someone could become such a large, integral part of her life in such a short time. Alex had been trained to be pragmatic, strategic, and direct all her life. However, managing these feelings for the redheaded ADA is everything Alex has virtually zero experience with; as Alex soon realized, romantic attraction is practically the antithesis of pragmatic, strategic, and direct. She wasn’t used to being on the receiving end of such visceral, intense, unconditional infatuation.
Sure, Alex had been hit on and chased after in the past, but such advances only made her uncomfortable and caused her to scoff internally in disgust. Yet, strangely enough, with Casey, she felt content with allowing herself to open up and slowly began to embrace being loved.
It was a Friday night, and Alex was alone in her home office reviewing her closing speech for court tomorrow. Alex has been incessantly trying to perfect the delivery and impact of her argument.
Alex cared about this case the slightest bit more than previous ones. A schizophrenic man assaulted his girlfriend after being off his medication. The victim, Carrie, was in an immense state of denial and wanted to protect her boyfriend, Carson.
Carrie’s response was a mixture of fear of Carson and partial belief that Carson hadn’t done anything wrong. After assuring her that the days of coverture were long gone, Carrie started cooperating with the detectives.
Alex was very impassioned by this case. She wanted to ensure Carrie got justice while also handling the nuances of Carson’s mental health issues delicately. She was so determined to handle this situation as perfectly as possible because this case reminded her of Casey’s relationship with her schizophrenic ex-boyfriend, Charlie.
Alex was the one to be there for Casey when things with Charlie reached their climax a few years ago. Alex was the shoulder for Casey to cry on. Alex helped Casey heal.
It broke Alex’s heart to see the strong-witted, stubborn, sharp ADA reduced to an uncharacteristically insecure, shaken, and vulnerable mess.
At the time, Alex told herself that feeling so invested in Casey’s love life was normal and platonic.
She thought it was perfectly appropriate to feel so profoundly empathetic about her friend’s relationship to the point that Alex would spend several nights embracing Casey so tightly while the redhead slept that Alex could hear her breathing. She thought it was analogously appropriate to feel a slight bloom of warmth within herself whenever Casey would give Alex a slight squeeze in her sleep.
Of course, in hindsight, Alex knows her feelings for Casey were never truly platonic, but she never allowed herself to acknowledge that to prevent herself from getting hurt. It wasn’t until Casey kissed her during a movie night in Alex’s brownstone that she could even consider the possibility that Casey was attracted to her.
Just as Alex was fondly thinking about their first kiss, a sharp knock snapped her back to reality.
After the mild shock from the noise wore off, confusion took its place. No one ever comes to visit Alex. Well, no one besides-
“Allleeex, it’s me!” A cheerful, familiar voice called from the other side of the door.
With great haste, Alex got up and opened the door to reveal the redhead that was just occupying her mind.
“Hey, you,” Alex said, with a smile gracing her face. “What’re you doing here? I thought you needed to prep for court,” she asked as she ushered her lover inside.
“I decided I needed a break. I'm in desperate need of an ‘Alex-fix’ ,” Casey answered cheekily as she turned to face the blonde and leaned into her. She wrapped her arms around Alex’s neck, idly playing with the loose hairs that had gradually escaped Alex’s once-tight ponytail.
“And by the looks of it,” Casey started while turning her head to face the direction of Alex’s office, “you could use one too,” she said as she turned to face her lover once more, pressing a kiss to her lips.
Alex melted into the embrace and realized just how much she missed being around Casey.
Casey deepened the kiss and dipped her hands to rest at Alex’s waist. Alex sighed into the kiss before pulling away. “Casey, I really need to finish preparing for tomorrow.”
In response, Casey groaned hyperbolically before leaning forward once more to fling her arms around Alex’s shoulders, embracing Alex in a hug. She then quickly transferred her weight to push into Alex, essentially going limp around her lover’s shoulders.
Alex smiled at Casey’s dramatics and adjusted to support her weight. Alex then led them both to her couch. As soon as the blonde sat, Casey climbed on top of her, knees pressing into the cushions on either side of Alex's thighs, and draped herself over her like a warm, petulant blanket.
"Casey," Alex sighed, exasperated but not really annoyed. She tried to shift, but Casey's arms hung limply around her shoulders, a deliberate, heavy weight that kept her pinned in place.
"You put too much pressure on yourself, baby," Casey hummed. Though it’s not the first time Casey has called her that pet name, it still sent Alex reeling. “Plus, I have seriously been missing my Alex time."
Though she knew how much she’d been missing Casey as well, Alex really needed to practice more in order to feel confident in court.
Alex huffed, her hands hovering awkwardly in the air as she debated whether to push Casey off or give in to her antics. "Casey, you know I have court in the morning," she reminded her, voice firm but lacking real bite.
"And I have a girlfriend who's been neglecting me," Casey countered, pressing a quick, teasing kiss to Alex's jaw. "Guess which one of those feels more urgent right now?"
Alex sighed again, but this time, her hands settled on Casey's waist. "You're impossible," she muttered, though her fingers betrayed her, tracing small, absentminded circles against Casey's back.
Casey proceeded to plant kisses down Alex’s neck until she decided on returning to Alex’s lips. Casey kissed Alex with such fervor that made the blonde’s head spin. Casey slipped her tongue into Alex’s mouth, making her let out a mixture of a grunt and a moan.
Once again, Alex pulled away, contemplation written all over her face. Reading her mind, Casey said, “Alex, you need a break, and I guarantee you already have that entire speech memorized.”
It’s true; Alex already knew what she wanted to say and precisely how she wanted to say it. Most ADAs would’ve stopped and called it a night. But Alex, sometimes to a fault, was not like most ADAs; she needed to be perfect. She couldn’t let Carrie down, she couldn’t jeopardize the opportunity to get Carson help appropriately, she couldn’t-
“Please, baby,” Casey muttered against the skin of Alex’s neck, snapping her out of her thoughts. “Just let me take care of you.” And with that, Alex surrendered. How could she say no to a request like that?
Alex gave Casey a slight nod of her head, which prompted the enthusiastic redhead to gently tug Alex’s top off. Casey was met with a simple black bra that deliciously hugged the perfect peaks of Alex’s chest. The sight made Casey salivate.
She reached behind Alex to unclip the garment then proceeded to gently cup her breasts, admiring how the weight of them felt in her hands. Casey then rubbed her thumbs against her pebbling nipples; she loved watching Alex’s body react to her touch.
In an instant, Casey’s lips were on Alex’s skin once more, hastily kissing and sucking every inch of exposed flesh. Casey was touching and kissing Alex as though she was trying to perfectly map out every dip and curve of her lover.
“Lie down for me, baby,” Casey said as she climbed off of Alex. Alex complied by lying down with her head aligned with the couch’s armrest, shakily breathing with anticipation. No matter how many times the pair makes love, Alex will always feel a spur of excitement when she sees that hungry look in Casey’s eyes.
Casey lowers herself and reaches for the waistband of Alex’s pants. Then suddenly-
It hit her.
Alex remembered she hadn’t shaved.
Alex is always sure to be perfect for Casey and is entirely shaved anytime she anticipates sex with her. An old boyfriend of Alex’s told her how gross he thought it was whenever she wasn’t entirely clean-shaven, and ever since, it has been drilled into Alex to stay shaved for Casey in fear she would also think her hair is gross.
However, since they’d both been so busy and Alex wasn’t expecting to see Casey, she hadn’t prepared.
“Wait!” Alex stated a little louder than she intended to. Casey immediately pulled back and looked up at Alex with concern and fear lacing her face.
“Baby, what’s the matter?” Casey said hurriedly. Alex couldn’t decide what would be more embarrassing: letting Casey see her when she was indecent or practically shouting at Casey to stop.
Alex looked down, ashamed, and Casey, growing more worried by the second, asked again, “Alex? Are you okay? Did I do something?”
“No! No, God, no- I just,” Alex began to explain, “I just… haven’t shaved in a while.” Alex mumbled the last part of her sentence so quietly that Casey could hardly make out what she said despite no other noise being present.
“What, baby?” Casey asked with a gentle curiosity.
“I haven’t shaved, Casey. You know… down there,” Alex responded while gesturing towards her groin.
Casey lightly chuckled at the confession. Embarrassment and fear simultaneously ran through Alex’s body. Was she laughing at her?
Alex began to hastily cover herself with her discarded shirt from the ground and get up, but before she could push Casey off, the redhead stopped her with a firm grip on her legs. “Hey! Hey! Baby, hold on,” Casey said with mirth still evident in her voice. “Honey, I’m not laughing at you, I promise,” Casey said, more seriously but still maintaining a reassuring smile.
“I was laughing because it’s funny that you think there’s a problem with you not being shaved.” Casey calmly and earnestly said. Alex looked at Casey as though she had two heads. “Alex, I think you and everything associated with you is perfect. Body hair isn’t going to change that perception, silly.”
Still slightly red with embarrassment from the entire exchange, Alex finally made eye contact with Casey. The redhead’s smile widened at her lover’s gaze finally reaching her eyes. “Look, if you are uncomfortable and do not want me to touch you right now, of course I won’t. But if you don’t want me to touch you because you think I have a problem with your hair, please let me assure you, that is not the case.” Casey said with the utmost conviction.
“No, no I- trust me, I definitely want you; I want this,” Alex said while still feeling slightly insecure but more assured than before.
“Yeah?” Casey asked with a cheeky smile and a cheerful tilt to her voice, making it apparent that she was hoping Alex would say that.
“Yeah,” Alex responded, matching Casey’s smile.
With that, Casey propped herself up, planted both hands on either side of Alex’s head, and leaned in to capture her lips in a kiss. Casey then grabbed Alex’s shirt, allowing the garment to retake its place on the ground. It was as though Casey was trying to kiss away any doubt Alex had, and if that was her intention, it was working.
Casey worked her kisses down Alex’s body, and her hands came to rest on Alex’s waistband once again. After receiving a nod from the blonde, Casey gingerly pulled her pants and underwear down her legs and off her body to join Alex’s other clothes on the ground.
Casey was now face to face with Alex’s sex, which was lightly covered in cute, light brown pubic hair. Casey traced the natural flow of her hair in adoration and uttered, “You are absolutely perfect, Alexandra Cabot,” and proceeded to place a kiss on the hair present on her pubis mound. Alex flushed in a combination of fleeting yet ever-present shame, the feeling of being so vulnerable, and mere bashfulness at the compliment.
With her right thumb, Casey spread Alex’s slightly glistening folds, gathered the arousal from her entrance, and began to rub at Alex’s nub of pleasure. Alex let out a quiet whine from the stimulation. “That feel good, baby,” the redhead asked while lowering herself to suckle loving kisses into the flesh of Alex’s inner thigh.
“Yes, Casey,” Alex practically breathed out, the embarrassment from the past ordeal practically nonexistent; how could she be concerned with anything when she had her tantalizingly sexy girlfriend between her legs and touching her in all the right ways?
Casey lowered her right pointer and middle finger to Alex’s entrance, slowly inching their way inside of her. Casey was studying Alex’s face to search for any sign of discomfort to which so found none, in fact, quite the opposite. Alex’s chest bloomed at the thought that Casey was so careful with her and so attentive to ensure she was okay. Her girlfriend’s consideration only turned Alex on more.
Casey then stuck her left thumb up and moved it toward Alex. Getting the hint, Alex opened her mouth to allow Casey to collect her saliva on her digit. With that same thumb, she then started to draw quick, tight circles around Alex’s clit while still pumping mercilessly into her with her right hand.
“I love how you feel wrapped around me, baby,” Casey said adoringly, “This perfect little pussy wrapped around my fingers…” Casey muttered slightly absentmindedly, entirely absorbed in her lover. Alex flushed at the vulgar choice of words and felt the heat within her rise even further.
“Come on, baby- come for me,” Casey said, and that was all Alex needed to come undone around her fingers. With a high-pitched, girlish cry, Alex climaxed and swore she saw stars. Casey gently let her ride out her high before removing her fingers and leaning forward to kiss her girlfriend. Alex started to reach for the hem of Casey’s top so she could begin to undress her very-much-so-still-clothed body. But Casey reached for Alex’s hands, stopping her.
Alex pulled away from the kiss, looking puzzled. She was met with a kind smile from her lover. “Tonight is about me taking care of you, okay?” And before Alex could protest, Casey continued, “Let me run us a bath, order some food, and maybe we can watch a movie, yeah?”
God, what did I do to get so lucky, Alex wonders.
“Yeah, Case, that sounds perfect,” but as Casey stood to make her way toward the bathroom, Alex said, “Thank you, Casey. For everything.”
Casey sat back down next to Alex on the couch and planted a chaste kiss on her lips. “You never have to thank me for loving you.”
With that, she gave another peck to her lover’s lips and started to walk away.
Alex was used to being rigid and careful and calculated. But with Casey, she doesn't have to be the hard-ass, bitchy ADA Cabot. She knows it's more than okay just to be Alex. And knowing that brings more comfort than she’ll ever let the redhead know.
A/N: With every fic, my word count nearly much triples 😬 at this rate I will be writing 6 million words by my 10th fanfiction!!!!! (I think… I dont know- I’m a social science major, not a math major😓) Also this is not really proofread, sorry!

PART TWO
Tumblr media
The moment the ink dries on the paper, the air in the room changes — not just heavier, but hungrier. Casey watches you like a wolf who’s just been given permission to feast. Alex’s smile is slow and sharp, something coldly beautiful in how calmly she folds the contract away like it was never meant to be questioned.
Casey’s fingers are already sliding under your shirt before you can catch your breath. “This needs to come off,” she says, voice rough with want. You lift your arms and let her tug the fabric over your head. The fabric catches on your hair and you’re blinded for a second — but the second your shirt’s gone, you feel Alex behind you, her hands already on your shoulders, her breath brushing your neck.
Your skin burns under their attention.
Casey’s eyes rake over your bare chest, still in your bra. “Fuck,” she says, almost reverent. “Soft little thing, aren’t you?” She reaches behind you with ease, snapping the clasp with one practiced motion. The straps fall, and you feel the weight of your breasts shift as Alex slides the bra down your arms, her fingers lingering as they go.
Your nipples are already hard, tight with anticipation, and Alex doesn’t hesitate. She cups both breasts, thumbs circling slowly, possessively. Her hands are elegant — long fingers, cool palms — and they contrast with Casey’s rougher touch when she leans in and flicks her tongue across one nipple, just to watch you shiver.
“Sensitive,” Alex murmurs behind you. “That’s good.”
You gasp softly as Casey sucks one of your nipples into her mouth, warm and wet, tongue swirling. Alex keeps her other hand moving in lazy circles over your other breast, her mouth grazing the shell of your ear.
“You taste sweet,” Casey says between kisses. “Bet you’re even sweeter down there.”
You can’t form words. You just nod.
Alex strokes your hair. “Lie back. Let us see you properly.”
You sink onto the couch cushions, heart pounding, breath shallow. They both watch as you lift your hips and tug your jeans down, panties with them. You hear Casey’s low groan when you spread your legs, exposing yourself. You’re already wet — glistening and flushed, folds parted slightly from arousal — and there’s no hiding it.
“Goddamn,” Casey mutters, kneeling between your thighs. “Look at this pussy.” She strokes two fingers along your slick, teasing, but doesn’t push in. “Soaked. You’ve been thinking about this for days, haven’t you?”
Alex doesn’t answer for you — she just kneels at your side and captures your mouth in a kiss, slow and claiming. Her bare breasts brush your arm — full, high, perfect, her nipples dark pink and tight. You reach for her instinctively, wanting to touch, but she catches your wrist.
“Not yet,” she murmurs. “This is for you.”
Then Casey lowers her mouth to your core — hot, greedy, filthy.
Her tongue slides through your folds, parting them, licking deep from base to clit in long, unrelenting strokes. You cry out, hips jerking, and Alex catches your face between her hands, guiding your head to rest against her chest.
“You breathe through it,” she says softly. “Let her make you shake.”
You’re already shaking.
Casey devours you like she’s starving — her hands holding your thighs wide, tongue circling your clit, flicking fast, then slowing just to drag out your whimpers. You bury your face against Alex’s breasts, the weight of them warm against your cheek. Her nipples graze your skin and she moans softly when your lips brush one.
She shifts, positioning herself so you’re almost suckling against her, and rewards you by sliding one hand down to roll your other nipple between her fingers. “Good girl,” she murmurs. “Take it. Let us show you what it means to give yourself over.”
Casey groans against your pussy, the vibration making you cry out. “She’s so fucking soft,” she says, voice muffled. “I could stay down here all night.”
“Make her come first,” Alex replies, a smile in her voice. “Then we’ll see what she’s capable of.”
You’re already close — too close. Casey’s tongue doesn’t stop, her rhythm steady and sure, dragging tight circles over your clit while Alex teases your nipple just enough to push you further.
And when Alex leans down to kiss your temple and whispers, “Come for us, sweetheart,” it’s like a trigger pulling tight.
You break.
Your back arches, thighs shaking, a long, guttural moan ripping from your chest. Casey doesn’t let up. She rides you through it — tongue working, mouth hot, messy and perfect — until you collapse fully against Alex’s chest, boneless, panting, wrecked.
Casey finally pulls back, licking her lips. Her chin glistens with you.
“God, I knew she’d taste good,” she mutters, smug.
Alex strokes your hair, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead. “And she’s not done,” she says with wicked calm. “We’re only just beginning.”
You’re still catching your breath, body buzzing, thighs sticky with the mess of your last orgasm. You try to move — maybe to drop to your knees, maybe to return the favor, you don’t even know. You just need to give them something. But Alex stops you with one hand, fingers curled firm around your wrist. It’s not rough — just final.
“That’s enough,” she says. Calm. Certain. “Not tonight.”
Then Casey grins from where she’s lounging back, her eyes dark and hungry. “Oh no, sweetheart. You’re not touching us,” she purrs. “You’re watching.”
You freeze, breath catching. The word slices straight through you, heat pooling between your legs all over again.
Alex stands — slow, deliberate — and begins undoing the buttons of her blouse. Not sexy-for-show. Just smooth and in control, like she’s peeling off her authority piece by piece. Her skin glows in the low light, the lace of her bra almost too pretty for how filthy this feels. Her slacks drop next, slipping down her hips with a whisper of fabric, revealing bare thighs and a damp patch already blooming at the center of her panties.
You can see it — the wetness. Dark and undeniable.
Casey stands too, lazy and loose, walking up to her like a tide pulling in. She doesn’t even speak. Just reaches out and touches Alex’s cheek with one hand while the other tugs at the hem of her own shirt. Alex helps, dragging it off over Casey’s head, and their hands are all over each other now — quick, greedy. Hooks undone, panties peeled down over flushed thighs. They kiss once, deep and quiet, and then Alex’s mouth is at Casey’s jaw, her shoulder, sucking just hard enough to leave something behind.
Their bodies are bare now — slick with heat, nipples hard, thighs shifting as they press together. You can see both of their pussies, glistening and pink, already so fucking wet it’s obscene. Casey’s soaked, folds shiny, clit swollen and begging for attention. But she doesn’t go there yet. She’s got her hand between Alex’s legs, fingers slipping in like she’s done it a thousand times.
And she probably has.
You watch, wide-eyed, as two fingers disappear inside Alex — slow and smooth. Alex’s head tilts back, lips parting, breath shaky but controlled. Casey’s got her hand moving in that perfect rhythm, wrist flexing, thumb brushing tight little circles over Alex’s clit. It’s not teasing. It’s deliberate. She knows what Alex needs.
Alex spreads her legs wider, hips rolling into it. Her thighs are trembling already, her pussy making those slick, wet sounds you can hear even from across the room. Every thrust of Casey’s fingers pulls another breath from her — tight, quiet, like she’s trying not to fall apart too fast.
You’re touching yourself again. Can’t help it. Watching them like this, watching Alex break open under Casey’s hand — it’s too much. Your fingers are soaked the second they press between your folds, your clit throbbing.
Alex’s hands grip the back of the couch. Casey’s kissing her shoulder now, murmuring something low, filthy and sweet, and then curling her fingers just right — and that’s what does it.
Alex comes hard. Her whole body tenses, back arching, a sharp gasp slipping past her lips. She doesn’t scream, doesn’t thrash — just lets go, face flushed and jaw clenched, thighs shaking around Casey’s hand.
You lose it right there. Watching Alex fall apart like that — from her touch, her fingers, her mouth, her everything — it sends you spiraling. You’re moaning, grinding against your own hand, chasing that heat until it snaps through you again. Fast and wild.
When you finally stop shaking, when you can see straight again, they’re curled up together. Casey’s got her arms around Alex’s waist, grinning like a cat who got the cream. Alex’s eyes are on you, sharp and satisfied.
“Think she’s hooked?” Casey murmurs, all smug.
Alex just smiles — slow, knowing. “Hopelessly.”
And you are. You so fucking are.
Everything’s quiet now. The kind of quiet that comes after the storm — not awkward, not tense. Just soft. Your breathing’s slowed a little, though your body still feels too warm, too loose, like all your bones melted a bit. You’re slumped back on the couch, skin still tingling, thighs sticky, brain kind of floating. You should probably feel embarrassed, laid out like this — wrecked and ruined — but you don’t. Not with them.
Casey moves first. She stretches like a cat, then disappears down the hallway without a word, still completely naked. You hear a cupboard open, the soft splash of water. A moment later she’s back with a warm, damp cloth in one hand and that playful look in her eyes again — but it’s softer now, lazy, like all the heat’s been turned down but none of the warmth’s gone.
“Stay still,” she murmurs, crouching in front of you.
You do. You’d probably let her do anything right now. But this — this is almost worse than everything before. She touches you so gently it hurts a little, dragging the cloth between your thighs, wiping away the mess she helped make. She doesn’t look away while she does it. Just watches your face with this weird mix of focus and care that makes your chest feel tight.
“You’re such a mess,” she says, but her voice is soft, teasing, not mean at all. “Could wring you out.”
Your face burns. You glance down at her, and for a second, you don’t even think about it — you just lean forward and kiss her.
It’s shy. Hesitant. Barely more than a brush of your lips against hers. Your hand fumbles at her shoulder, not really sure where to land. You’re not trying to start something again — you just want to give her something back. Say thank you, even if you don’t have the words.
She pauses. Then smiles against your mouth, slow and sweet. She kisses you back — firmer, but still unhurried. Like she’s letting you set the pace now.
When you finally pull away, your face is burning, and you look down at your lap, flustered. She just chuckles, presses another kiss to your temple, and hands you something big and soft — an oversized hoodie.
“Put that on,” she says, standing up with a stretch. “You’re gonna freeze.”
You tug it over your head, grateful to have something covering your bare skin. It drowns you, sleeves way past your hands, the hem brushing your thighs. It smells like her — that mix of laundry soap, a little weed, and something warmer, skin and sweat and girl. You pull it tighter around you like armor and sink back into the couch.
Casey plops down next to you and tugs you into her side like it’s nothing — like this is just what happens now. You go easily, curling into her warmth, your cheek against her shoulder, legs tucked up. She’s only wearing one of those huge old button-up shirts now, hanging open just enough to show the curve of her chest, the edge of a tattoo you haven’t seen before.
You blink slow, dazed and floaty. Then Casey reaches for the wine she left on the coffee table, pours a glass, and hands it to you without saying anything. You take it with both hands like it might spill otherwise.
“Drink, baby,” she murmurs, tucking an arm around your shoulders. “You earned it.”
You sip. It’s cold and dry and just fruity enough to be nice. You barely taste it, but it helps. Grounds you. You shift closer, half in her lap now, letting the warmth of the hoodie and her body wrap around you.
Alex is across from you both, tucked into the corner of the couch, legs curled under her, bare thighs peeking out from beneath one of Casey’s white button-ups. She’s watching you, her eyes soft, her smile barely there but real.
“You alright?” she asks, voice low and even.
You nod. Then force yourself to actually speak, voice small but sure. “Yeah. I’m okay.”
“You sure?” she asks again, not because she doubts you — just making really sure.
You nod a second time, more certain now. “I liked it,” you say. You feel your face flush hot again, but you don’t take it back.
Alex’s smile deepens, something fond flickering in her eyes. “Good,” she says simply. “You were perfect.”
Casey makes a little hum in agreement, resting her chin on top of your head. Her fingers trace lazy patterns on your arm through the hoodie. “So fucking good,” she says. “I could’ve kept going. You were melting.”
You groan into her shoulder, burying your face to hide the way your cheeks flare up.
“Stop,” you mumble, but it’s useless.
She just laughs, low and smug, and keeps going. “Aw, look at you. All shy now. But earlier you were moaning like I put a spell on you.”
“Casey,” you whine into her sleeve, which only makes her laugh harder.
Alex’s voice cuts in, warm and dry. “She did put a spell on you. That hoodie’s cursed. You’re ours now.”
You peek out from under the hoodie’s hood, wine glass half-raised, still red-faced. “I might be,” you admit, barely above a whisper.
That shuts them both up — just for a beat. Then Casey grins, leans in, and kisses your forehead.
“Damn right.”
And that’s it. You stay curled up there with her, tucked into her side, sipping wine, heart full and body loose and so, so safe. Alex watches you both like she’s already planning round two — or maybe just memorizing the moment. You don’t know. You don’t care. You just know you’re exactly where you want to be.

*not my gif*
It all started like the perfect love story; Casey and y/n met at the coffee shop where Casey was working at the time. It had been an accident, Casey running into y/n and almost throwing the coffee she had in hands, and to apologize, Casey invited her a coffee and that’s where the spark began. Y/n thought it was cute how Casey had done everything to apologize even if she had done nothing, after all and after rethinking of their incident, y/n figured out it had actually been her fault, but neither said a thing, because both of them actually enjoyed talking toe ach other, and that’s where it all began. Weeks later, they had created a routine where y/n would show up and study while she waited for Casey to finish her shift, then both of them would spend the whole afternoon together until it was time to go separate ways. In y/n’s mind, Casey was the perfect person, the girl of her dreams; she was sweet, she was cute, she was kind, she was beautiful, she was smart, she was not afraid to be who she was.
Their relationship started after a few dates and a night of drinks where both of them confessed their love for each other, and y/n thought she was living the best love story she had ever seen or heard of. They both understood their careers, having some hectic hours at times, having to focus on finals or projects, at times they barely had time to see each other but they both knew they would be waiting for one another. And then, Casey asked her to move in with her, and things couldn’t have been more perfect. Mornings and nights together, every now and then their afternoons were also spent together, the whole living room floor full of papers, books, and notebooks, but they couldn’t have it any other way, not when they were together. They were both soon to graduate, and they were already looking at their professional lives, but something they had never mentioned was their future. It was something neither of them had thought about. They had already been dating for the last two years, the conversation didn’t seem important, and yet, y/n couldn’t help but keep it in mind.
“Case…I gotta ask you something.” Y/n bit her lip nervously as she stared at Casey.
Casey raised her brow curiously as she smiled. “Alright…what is it?”
Y/n sighed softly as she smiled. “I know we both agreed that we want to stay here in New York, that’s decided…but…do you really see a future…with me?”
“Oh, baby.” Casey chuckled softly as she moved close to y/n, wrapping her arms around her, kissing her forehead softly. “Do you really believe that I’d want anything else? Why wouldn’t I see it?” She smiled softly, her fingers running through y/n’s hair. “I’m not sure what the future holds for us but…I want you in it.”
Y/n smiled softly as she nodded. “I do too.” She huffed a chuckle as she shrugged. “I just…I don’t know. I guess I just…we’ve been so focused with school and graduation.”
Casey tilted her head as she grinned. “And you’re afraid that we will part ways. We still have a whole year for graduation.”
Y/n nodded. “I know.” She smiled. “I just…” she sighed as she placed her hand on Casey’s chest, playing with her necklace. “I don’t think I see myself with anyone else but you.”
Casey smiled as she leaned in and kissed her lips softly. “Neither do I. We’ve made our relationship work so far, we’ll make it work after we graduate.”
Y/n smiled as she leaned in to kiss her lips softly. “You right. We’ll make it work.”
Casey nodded as she wrapped her arms around y/n’s legs to move her to her lap. “Now, what do you say we take a break, hmm?” She grinned as she kissed her neck softly. “Just to relax a bit.”
“Of course you’d suggest that Ms. Novak.” Y/n chuckled softly as she wrapped her arms around Casey’s neck and kissed her lips.
********************
Y/n should’ve seen it coming. After graduation, everything had been good, everything was still perfect. They both went to each other’s graduation, they even made a trip together to celebrate, things still seemed perfect. But they had different careers, they had different thoughts about what they wanted to do, and to be honest, she didn’t expect to have such an amazing offer so quickly, the chance to have an amazing future ahead of her, but her future also included Casey. She wanted it to include Casey, but again…Casey had also her plans, she also had in mind what she wanted to do with her life, not only professionally but also personally. Yes, they both had agreed to stay in New York, they both had made it clear that they wanted each other in their lives, but that was until Casey started to figure out that it wasn’t just about their relationship, it was about their professional lives too. Before y/n knew it, Casey was distant, she had started working at a bureau that was a big deal, she had a mentor that saw a great future for her. She had a chance to do what she wanted to do, and y/n couldn’t stop her from it.
But then, the lonely nights started, barely talking to each other, barely seeing each other because Casey was busy, she had stuff to do, and y/n only found out because she heard Casey talking on the phone. When y/n got her offer, she couldn’t even tell Casey because she was busy, and she barely made it home for dinner. Most of the nights, Casey only came home to sleep and before y/n could wake up, she was gone. Not that y/n wasn’t busy with her own life too, working at a hospital was not exactly the easiest, and it wasn’t exactly what she had expected. Y/n pushed the offer for a few weeks, waiting to talk to Casey about it, but Casey was only focused on her stuff. And when the time to talk about it finally showed up, it wasn’t exactly what y/n had expected.
“Wait…you’re upset?”
Casey shrugged as she looked at y/n. “I thought we had agreed we would stay here in New York.”
Y/n raised her brows, a little surprised. “Oh…I mean. Yeah, sure but…I mean, we had agreed we would stay in Boston, and now we’re here in Manhattan. I had to transfer.” She tilted her head. “I transferred so you could accept your offer.”
“And you hid your offer for weeks.” Casey snapped.
Y/n scoffed as she nodded. “You know why I did it? Because all you’ve done has been work. You spend more time with Mary than you spend time with me. And that’s hypocritical of me, because I’m at the hospital most of the time, but I try to make time for you, and then, you don’t even come home.”
“You knew that out first year was everything about adjusting. I’m sorry I spend so much time at the office, I cannot help it.”
Y/n nodded. “And I know that, Casey. Trust me. I am not asking you to drop everything for me. But if I hid the offer, was because I was not sure what to do. I was not sure what I wanted, because I want you in my life. We agreed to that.”
“And you’re rubbing it in my face that I made you transfer to a place you didn’t even want to be in. And I’m sorry about that, but you made that choice. I didn’t force you.”
“I never said you did! God, Casey. Are you really trying to pick up a fight right now? I was honest. I wanted you to know about the offer, I wanted you to be aware of what’s happening in my life. But…” she shrugged. “Here I am. Waiting for you to notice me. You cling to your papers and pens, and I’m just here waiting for you.” Y/n felt tears in her eyes as she stared at Casey. “I did what I said I’d never do. And I did it because I wanted to, and you’re upset because I got an offer? Or why are you trying to pick up a fight? I never said I’d accept it.”
“Then maybe I should make the choice for you.” Casey crossed her arms as she stared at y/n. “You should go to California.”
Y/n furrowed her brows. “What?”
“You heard me. This…us? “We’re not working anymore, y/n.” Casey shook her head as she looked away. “I don’t…” She sighed softly as she nibbled on her lip. “It’s better this way.”
Y/n stared at her as tears rolled down her cheeks. “For me or for you?”
Casey looked back at her, tears in her eyes too. “Y/n…”
“Save it.” Y/n scoffed. “You’ve been thinking about this for so long. You were just waiting for the perfect moment. What happened to…it’s just me and you? It was us against anything…but I get it. You don’t see me in your future anymore.” She said quietly as she nodded. “If this is how you want to leave me, fine. I was not going to accept the offer.”
Casey tilted her head as she walked to y/n. “Y/n, wait-“
“Hope you get what you want in life.” Y/n simply said as she walked to their room, locking the door behind her to start packing her things.
Y/n didn’t want to push this, she didn’t want to beg for Casey to not leave her, to ask her to stay, she loved Casey, but if it meant to ask for her love, to wait for her love…she didn’t want this. Any of this.
********************
“Wait, what about Huang?” Elliot asked as he looked at Olivia.
Olivia shrugged. “He’s somewhere in California, doing some TED talks or something.”
“So, we getting a new one for now or what?” Munch raised his hands as she stared at them. “Novak said we needed Huang to confirm if he’s capable of talking in court or the case can go to the trash.”
“Guys, I want you to meet Dr. y/n y/l/n. Huang’s good friend, and the person who will be helping us in the next few cases if we need her.” Cragen smiled as he introduced her.
Y/n smiled softly as she nodded. “Sorry Huang is not here, but it’s nice to meet you guys, I’ve heard great things about you all.”
Olivia smiled as she nodded. “We’re sure that if Huang sent you, it’s because you’re good. I’ll show you the interrogation room.” She then walked with y/n, leaving behind the boys.
Elliot looked at Cragen. “I take it she’s good?”
“I trust Huang, and right now, we need all the possible help, so we get these girls some justice.” Cragen nodded as he walked back to his office.
“He’s right. As long as we get a confirmation that he’s sane enough, we’re good to go, Huang or not.” Munch said as he stood up.
Casey walked into the squad room and smiled at Elliot, walking to him. “Huang’s in there?”
Elliot shook his head. “Nope, he’s not in New York. Sent a friend of his, but Liv already took her in, so we should have an answer soon.”
Casey nodded. “Good, wanna come?”
Elliot nodded as he followed Casey, He furrowed his brows as he stared at Casey. “You okay?”
Casey sighed as she shook her head. “The DA’s office is right on my back with this case. I need a psych evaluation or he’s out before we can even blink.”
“Casey, you got this. We have enough evidence.” Elliot stopped Casey for a moment as he looked at her. “Is there something else going on in that head of yours?”
Casey looked back at him as she shook her head, sighing softly. “No. Everything is okay.” She offered a small smile before she walked in with Elliot. But just as she walked in, the voice on the other side of the room made her stop in her tracks, her heart dropping and her eyes widening.
Elliot noticed the reaction, and just in time, Olivia turned to look at them, furrowing her brows. She looked at Elliot for a moment before she returned her attention to Casey. “Case?”
Casey’s lips parted in surprise, but no words could come out. She cleared her throat softly, as she looked at Olivia. “Y-Yeah?”
“What happened? You completely froze there.” Olivia said a little concerned, walking to Casey.
Casey snapped out of her trance and shook her head. “No uh…nothing. Sorry, I just…I guess I’m too stressed right now.”
Olivia nodded, looking at Elliot for a moment and then back at Casey. “Alright…she’s…the psychiatrist is talking to him right now. She’s on his good side right now.”
Casey nodded. “Right, I need to go talk to Cragen but…let me know when she’s done.” Before anyone could say anything, Casey was out of the room.
It had been around two years or so since they had seen each other. The last time they had seen each other was the day y/n moved out of their apartment. Casey had tried everything to stop her, but it was too late. After that, they never talked to each other, didn’t even try to contact each other, they had entirely erased each other from their lives. And now, it was like destiny wanted them to find each other again, but Casey was not ready for it. She knew the damage she had caused, she knew how much she had hurt y/n, and herself…and she knew that y/n hated her for what she did, she knew that she’d probably freak out once she figured out that Casey was here, and Casey was definitely not ready to tell the whole squad their story, she had never talked about her, she couldn’t…it had been too painful. She had tried to stay as long as possible with Cragen in his office, coming up with excuses to not leave, or simply talking about where they were with the case, and just as she was about to leave, she ran into the one person she had been trying to avoid, and oh, her heart hadn’t beaten like this in so long.
Casey’s eyes widened slightly as she stared at y/n, licking her lips nervously. “H-Hey.”
Y/n furrowed her brows, offering a small smile. “Hi. I’m y/n.” She extended her hand. “You must be…the attorney? Olivia told me some blonde girl was in charge of this case.” She chuckled softly.
Casey furrowed her brows, staring at her with a confused look. “Uh…yes. Novak.” She grabbed y/n’s hand in hers and she felt a shiver run down her spine. “You don’t…you don’t know who I am?” She asked softly, almost quietly.
Y/n raised her brow as she let go of Casey’s hand. “Should I…know who you are?”
“Uh…” Casey shook her head. “No. Sorry, I’m not exactly in my right mind today.”
“Got it. This heat doesn’t help anyone, does it?” Y/n chuckled softly. “Olivia gave me your email, I’ll be sending you the evaluation, and if you have any questions, my number will be in the email.”
Casey nodded. “Great, thanks.”
Y/n nodded softly as she offered a small smile. “Nice to meet you, Novak.” She then walked away, leaving Casey speechless. What had just happened?
********************
Olivia knocked on Casey’s door softly, smiling as Casey looked up at her. “Hey there.”
Casey offered a smile. “Hi.”
Olivia walked into the office and raised her brow. “So…are you gonna tell me what’s going on?”
Casey furrowed her brows and shook her head. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
“C’mon, Casey. You know better than to lie to me.” Olivia sat down and crossed her arms as she looked at Casey.
“I don’t…” Casey sighed softly as she dropped her pen and rubbed her temple. “What do you know about y/n?”
“Well…she’s great. I mean…she has helped us so much with everything. She’s at Huang’s level.” Olivia nodded as she offered a smile. “And uh…Huang told us a little bit of background. She studied here, but after graduating she moved to California for an offer.”
Casey nodded softly. “Anything else?”
Olivia tilted her head as she thought. She then nodded as she sighed. “I heard that she got into an accident. Like a year or so ago. She mentioned that she had been in a coma for a while, she still doesn’t remember much. But recently, she was allowed to go back to work.”
Casey then understood, and her heart dropped at the idea of y/n being in an accident, and she wasn’t there for her. She sighed softly as she nodded. “Must’ve been hard.”
“Seems so.” Olivia raised her brows. “Now…are you gonna tell me why you’re acting so weird? Is this about y/n?”
Casey groaned softly as she covered her face, sighing afterwards. “I know y/n.” She mumbled.
Olivia nodded. “Alright…and?” She then gasped softly. “Oh…she didn’t recognize you.”
“She has no idea who I am.” Casey shook her head as she dropped her hands, looking at Olivia. “She had no idea who I was and I…I don’t know how to treat her, or what to say.”
“Was she…more than a friend?”
Casey nodded. “Yeah…she was.” She said softly, still feeling guilty about how it all ended.
“Maybe this is your second chance.” Olivia shrugged. “You can try to be her friend, you know? This is literally a start over, Case.”
Casey looked at Olivia and shrugged. “You think it’s a good idea?”
Olivia shrugged. “Well…why not? Maybe this could turn out better than you think.”
Casey nodded softly as she stared at Olivia, smiling softly. “Maybe so…”
“I’m…not sure what happened between you two, but all I know is that this could be your chance to make things better. Maybe be her friend first, and if things go well then…if you want, you can try again.” Olivia offered a smile.
Casey looked back at Olivia and smiled softly, nodding her head, and thanking her. The conversation kept going after that, y/n no longer in it. Casey hated the fact that it had been her fault for letting her go, she was happy to know the person she had become, maybe Casey would have stopped her from growing, but the fact that she had been in an accident and Casey had not been there…it broke her heart into a million of pieces. She wanted to make it up. She wanted to make things better.
********************
Y/n looked up as she heard a pair of heels approaching her, smiling as she saw Casey walking to her. “Ms. Novak. What do I owe the pleasure of your presence?”
Casey felt her heart fluttering as she stood in front of y/n, smiling softly. “I heard you were covering Huang here too. Thought I’d pay you a visit, and thank you for your help. We won the case.”
Y/n raised her brows and smiled widely. “Oh, Casey! That’s amazing. I’m sure it was all because of you. I’ve heard how amazing you are in court.” She chuckled softly as she closed the file she had in hands.
“Well…I still wanted to thank you. And…wonder if you’d like to take a coffee.” Casey nibbled on her lip nervously, hoping that she’d get a positive answer.
Y/n stared at Casey and smiled softly. “I don’t see why not. Are you free right now? I was about to leave.”
“Sounds good to me.” Casey smiled softly.
They decided to walk for a while before they actually found a coffee shop where they could sit and grab a coffee. It amazed Casey how little she remembered before the accident, admitting that she didn’t even remember much about her college years or even after, just a few memories popping up every now and then, and people? That was the most difficult to remember. Casey felt guilty, knowing how they had ended and now taking advantage of her not remembering to get to talk to her, but she couldn’t help it. Olivia’s words kept playing in her mind, wanting to believe that maybe this truly was a second chance that the universe decided to give them; not in the best way, but she could either waste it or take it. She couldn’t help the way her eyes stayed glued to y/n the whole time, loving the fact that she looked the same, as beautiful as she has always been, and she couldn’t help the way her heart beat fast for her.
Casey talked a little about her own life, there wasn’t much to say about it, since her whole life was dedicated to her job. After y/n, she had really out her entire focus on it, wanting to get more offers or chances to work in something better, to be able to grow, and she had gotten her place in Sex Crimes even if she hadn’t wanted that at first. She couldn’t help but wonder what it’d be like if she had another chance with y/n…if fate was nice enough to let her have that second chance and get back the life she wished she hadn’t thrown away back then, but she needed to take it step by step, not wanting to rush things. She was really willing to win her back.
Y/n stopped in front of the doors of the hotel and turned to look at Casey. “Thank you for the coffee, and…the dinner that came after.” She chuckled softly.
Casey chuckled as she nodded. “You’re welcome.” She said softly as she smiled. “When are you going back to California?”
Y/n sighed as she shrugged. “I have a few more things to do here. Huang is taking a bit of time over in California, so. I might stay for a little longer.”
“Good.” Casey smiled softly. “Will I be able to see you again?”
Y/n smiled widely as she nodded. “I don’t see why not.” She chuckled. “See you around, Casey.”
“Goodnight.” Casey nodded as she watched her walking into the hotel.
Was it wrong? Was this selfish? She felt guilty, she felt bad, but could anyone really blame her? She couldn’t just waste this chance, as guilty as she felt.
********************
“Who would’ve thought that Ms. Novak was a charmer?” Olivia said as she walked into Casey’s office, a playful smile on her face.
Casey looked up and furrowed her brows. “Where did that come from?”
Olivia grinned. “Y/n stopped by the squad room earlier. She was talking about how Ms. Novak took her to a nice restaurant.” She said in a playful tone.
Casey laughed softly as she looked down at her notebook and placed her pen down as she looked back at Olivia. “It was just dinner.”
“For what…like the third time in almost two weeks? Olivia raised her brow.
Casey rolled her eyes playfully. “Yeah, well…she has free time. I didn’t see why J couldn’t.”
“Oh, Case. You’re really taking this chance, and I love that for you.” Olivia smiled softly. “She said she loves the restaurant, gave her a sense of comfort.”
Casey smiled softly as she nodded. “She used to love that restaurant when we had just moved here. I…couldn’t help it.”
Olivia smiled. “What happened, Casey?”
Casey took a deep breath and then she sighed heavily. “I had gotten an offer here, after we had promised that we would both stay in Boston. I made her transfer and…then she had an offer in California.” She nodded sadly. “She was not going to take it. But we were drifting apart…I was stuck in work, always work…”
“She felt forgotten.” Olivia said softly as she sat down in one of the chairs.
“I made her feel that way. Because it was true. I was so focused on work that I just stopped putting her as my priority. And then I told her to go to California.” Casey shrugged. “And she did.” She smiled sadly at Olivia. “Now you see why I was thinking if it was a good or bad idea to try to befriend her again.”
“I know it sounds…bad. But it’s a second chance. And maybe, when she remembers, she’ll forgive you.”
“Is it bad that I don’t want her to remember? I mean…fuck, I’m so selfish.” Casey chuckled as she ran her fingers through her hair. “It hurt to think at first that she couldn’t remember me, that she had forgotten about us…and now I’m taking advantage of it.”
“I wouldn’t say you’re taking advantage. It’s like you two are getting to know each other again. Not like you just jumped into her bed, you know?”
Casey nodded. “Yeah, I guess so.”
“Just…don’t overthink too much about it.” Olivia offered a small smile.
Casey raised her brow. “You’re as bad as me, supporting me into this.” She chuckled softly.
“Is it selfish to want to see you happy?” Olivia grinned as she teased.
********************
“Wait…they offered you a job here?” Casey smiled softly.
Y/n nodded as she set her drink on the table, looking at Casey. “Mercy hospital. Huang wanted to try to get me a spot with him, but…Mercy hospital sounds nice.” She smiled softly.
Casey nodded softly as she smiled, getting up from her desk and then walking to the table, sitting down beside y/n. “Have you thought about it?”
“I mean…” y/n sighed. “I need to get some things in order in California. I can’t just accept and move. There are a lot of things I need to think about.”
Casey nodded again. “You’re right.”
“What do you think?” Y/n smiled, a hint of hope in her eyes.
“What do I…” Casey furrowed her brows. “…why do you care what I think?”
Y/n shrugged softly as she smiled. “I’m just asking for an opinion, you know?”
Casey nibbled on her lip as she stared at y/n. It could be her opportunity to have another chance with her, it could be that chance she had wanted to have all this time after she screwed up. But it’d be selfish. It would be too selfish to ask her to stay. She couldn’t possibly tell her what she really thought.
“I…I think you should do what you think it’s best for you.” Casey said softly.
“Will you want to deal with me once I move here?”
Casey chuckled softly. “I’d love that.”
Y/n smiled softly as she nodded. “I’ll let you know my decision when I have it then. I’ll uh…I need to do some stuff but…dinner on me?”
Casey smiled as she stood up. “Sounds perfect.”
Y/n smiled as she grabbed her coffee and stood up. She stood in front of Casey for a moment before she leaned up and pressed her lips against Casey’s in a gentle kiss. Casey’s breath hitched for a moment but couldn’t help kissing her back softly, placing her hands on her waist to pull her closer. The moment was broken when Casey’s phone went off, making them pull apart.
Y/n smiled softly as she pecked Casey’s lips. “See you later, Case.” She said before she walked away.
Casey swallowed, trying to catch her breath, and then moving to her desk to grab her phone. Throughout the whole day, she was in court, arraignment after arraignment plus a trial. She had tried so hard to focus but her mind kept going back to their kiss, and how good it had felt to kiss her after all this time. She had missed the feeling of y/n close to her, her lips, her taste…and yet, she felt nothing but guilt. She kept overthinking over and over again. She tried to think what Olivia had told her, she tried so hard to be positive about it and to try and just live in the moment, but she couldn’t.
She was about to text y/n that she was on her way out her office when suddenly she felt someone at the door. She turned to the door and found y/n standing there, a serious look on her face as she stared at Casey.
“Y/n. I was about to text you that I was on my way out.” Casey smiled softly. But then she looked down at her watch. “Shit, did I say earlier? I’m sorry. I…”
“No. It’s not that.” Y/n bit her lip softly as she walked into Casey’s office and closed the door behind her. “We need to talk.”
Casey furrowed her brows as she stared at y/n. “Something happened?”
Y/n looked up at Casey, tears welling up in her eyes. “I never actually thought I’d see you again.” She said in a whisper, her voice cracking up with emotion.
Casey’s heart ached as she spoke, her eyes locking with y/n’s. “You…you remember me?”
Y/n nodded softly as she huffed a chuckle. “I uh…I was just talking to Huang and then he was asking me about you, how things were going, and it was like uh…wave that hit me and all of the sudden I remembered that…I knew you. You used to be my Casey.” She felt tears in her eyes as she shook her head, licking her lips nervously.
Casey felt a pang of guilt as she stared at y/n, walking to her. “Y/n…I-I wanted to tell you, I didn’t-“
“Is this how you planned on getting back with me? You were hoping that I wouldn’t remember, didn’t you?” Y/n asked softly as she felt tears in her eyes.
“No! I mean…” Casey groaned as she nibbled on her lip. “I did want to tell you. I felt…I felt guilty. But I couldn’t help it. I just wanted to start over.”
“And what a better way to start over than taking advantage of me having amnesia.” Y/n chuckled sarcastically. “You know I…I don’t blame you. But you know we didn’t end well, did you just forget about all that?”
“No…” Casey shook her head. “But I regret everything. I regret letting you go. I wanted to see you again. You changed your number, and I just…”
“You made your choice, Casey. You even made my choice.” Y/n scoffed. She shook her head. “I truly did want to start over.”
“And what about your accident? Why did you never call me?”
“I didn’t remember your phone number.” Y/n chuckled softly as she wiped her tears. “I’m sure my mom wanted to. Something might’ve stopped her.”
Casey nodded as she looked down at her hands. “I’m sorry…for everything. I just thought it could be that chance I lost…”
Y/n took a deep breath and then sighed as she tried to avoid more tears falling from her eyes. “That’s not fair, Casey. You make it seem like I was the one who broke your heart, when it was the other way around.”
Casey looked back up at her. “And that’s why I wanted to make things right. I wanted another chance, and I was not going to take advantage of you. I was going to tell you all about it, I just didn’t know how. I didn’t want you to hate me.”
“I don’t hate you, Casey.” Y/n said in a whisper as she stared into her eyes. “But I can’t do this again. I…I don’t even know why I considered accepting the offer here, when I have everything I need in California. And being here now…reminds me of what I lost.”
Casey felt her heart drop at her words, tears welling up in her eyes. “Y/n…” She took a step closer and grabbed her hands, bringing them to her lips. “Please I’m…I’m so sorry. I really am. You don’t know how much I regret what happened and how things went down. Please.”
Y/n stared into her eyes as she shook her head. “How do I know that you won’t cling to your paper and pen again, huh?”
“We start over then. We just leave it at friends. Accept the offer, move back here. We can make it work this time, baby. I’m just asking for one more chance.” Casey looked at her with pleading eyes, her voice low and quiet.
“We can’t be friends, not even that.” Y/n whispered softly. “Casey…I loved you. So much…but I just…I can’t do this. Not again. Look where you are.” She smiled sadly. “You have a conviction rate of 71%, you’re a recognized ADA.” She chuckled sadly. “Sort of…did some research.”
Casey chuckled a little as she nodded. “And you’re recognized in California…and have a new life now.”
Y/n nodded. “We have different lives. And it should stay that way.”
Casey tilted her head as she felt tears rolling down her eyes. “I love you…” she whispered softly.
Y/n nodded. “I loved you.”
Casey closed her eyes as she felt a weight on her chest at the words. Y/n sighed softly as she placed her hand on Casey’s cheek, stroking it softly. She leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on her lips, resting her forehead against hers for a moment.
“I’m glad I got to see you again. I’m sir proud of you.” Casey whispered softly as she looked into her eyes.
Y/n smiled sadly. “I’m so proud of you too.”
Y/n offered one last smile before she walked out of Casey’s office, leaving her just standing there in the middle of her office as she stared at the door, tears rolling down her cheeks. She had made a mistake, a terrible mistake. And maybe after all, her life would be dedicated to her job. That’s what she chose. And she’d regret it for the rest of her life.
