Rio constantly yelling “why don’t you want me” and telling Agatha she loves her and that she knows she loves her back was just wow. Rio was truly distraught over Agatha not wanting her anymore. She looked so heartbroken when Agatha said “I don’t want to see you for the rest of my life and when I die” so Rio just didn’t collect her soul once she died. Everything about the finale and their relationship has left me reeling. I cannot function

Bedtime Fits

“No Mami! No wana go bed!” you pout as Rio attempts to tuck you in. You had been falling asleep in her lap for the past hour but kept refusing bedtime. You just wanted to spend time with your mami. She had been gone for weeks do to her work and just got back early today and you were scared she was going to leave again.

“I know Nina but you were falling asleep on me” She grabs your stuffed bunny and tucks it beside you as she raises the blanket to your chin. “Ill be here when you wake up baby bunny” Her voice is soft but theres a hint of exhaustion. You had been hyper from the second she walked through the door. Refusing to take your nap earlier and not giving her a second by herself. She understands your clinginess especially when shes been gone for a while but theres still times she just needs a second. 

“NO! You say last time and and was gone in morning!” Tears gather in your eyes as you look up at her.

“Bunny its bedtime. Whether you like it or not you need to go to bed” Pouting harder at her words you thrash in your bed. Your bunny stuffy falling to the floor making you cry harder. Rio simply sighs and picks up the bunny a hand running through her hair.

The bedroom door opens as Agatha steps in and observes the scene. Your blankets thrown around as Rio looks slightly distressed. Rio was always the softer on out of the two of them and when you threw fits like this she never knew what to do. 

Agatha steps further into the room and grabs your blankets.

“Thats enough little one” Her voice is stern as she places the blanket back over you. “Your mami said its time for bed. You skipped your nap today so you knew your bedtime would be earlier.” A sniffle leaves you at her words.

“Mama! Mami’s gonna leave!” Agatha sighs. This wasn’t the first time this had happened. Usually it was when RIo was gone though. You’d cry and cry and yell that you weren't going to bed until she was home.

“Mamis not leaving. She’s right here darling” Rio sits beside you on the bed. Her hand brushing tears away.

“She she always leave” Your hands clutch at the sleeve of Rio’s pajama top. Agatha and Rio exchange a look before Rio turns back to you.

“How about you sleep with me and mama tonight okay? That way if I even get off the bed you’ll know” usually you didn’t sleep in the same bed as them when you were little. It was just one of the boundaries the three of you set. You had your own room for your little space. Your own bed. But sometimes they knew that you needed the comfort of both of them holding you. 

You nod and rio gently picks you up and carries you to their bedroom. She lays you in the middle of the bed and tucks your stuffed bunny into your arms. Both of them lay beside you. Sandwiching you in between them. Rio lets you suck on her thumb as agatha hums a soft lullaby. For a while you continue to fight sleep but eventually your eyes start to flutter as the warmth of both your mama and mami holding you lulls you.
