apparently my boss who is a professor at my school doesn’t have a cell phone and his coworkers were upset by this so they bought him a childs toy phone and labeled it “David’s jitterbug” (for those of you that don’t know jitterbugs are phones made for old people that have like massive buttons and shit) so the other day I walked into his office to ask him a question and he pressed a button on it which made it start loudly playing the ABCs and he said “excuse me I have to take this” and then started singing along to the ABCs while shooing me out of his office

could be going both ways.

for some, their "real" behavior is a façade and they let their inner convictions loose, thanks to the safety of anonymity. y'know, "give a man a mask and he will reveal his true face" (I think that's how the quote went)

some others, geuinely enjoy a nice time with those they love, then play a funny or annoying character on the internet, to get reactions.

a few probably do both, or neither, or some other thing I haven't thought of~

ive gotten so much mileage out of this tweet. every time i see something on the internet that makes me mad i just think to myself "people in real life: hey man how's it going" and i keep it pushing
