// Hello, chooms! I'm back from hiatus, more or less!

I was gone a little bit longer than I anticipated. The short of it, I had been struggling really hard with my mental health and writing was the last thing on my mind. I am medicated now and making the steps to getting better.

I intend to do a some tweaking to this blog in terms of adding verses and npcs. Also I noticed quite a few Cyberpunk blogs following me and look forward to interacting with you all. As always, my dms are always open for plotting and I am just about to reblog some prompts!

キャラメレオン 　場所によって体色だけでなく振る舞いも変えるカメレオン。一つの種として認識されたのは最近のことであるが、古くから世界各地に生息していたいきものである。また、若い個体が多いというのも誤解であり、生態系ピラミッドの位置や、番いの有無に関わらず存在している。類似した生態を持ついきものも多いが、キャラメレオンの場合、コロニー内での意思疎通のために擬態を行うという特徴がある。 　あるいきものが群れをなしコロニーを作ると、必ずと言っていいほど何らかの役割が発生する。例えば、コロニーを率いるリーダー、狩りを担当するもの、子育てを行うものなどであり、これらは通常、能力に応じて振り分けられる。役割分担によって個体間の得手不得手を補い合い、コロニー全体の生存率を上げるのである。この分業には高度な協調が不可欠となるが、キャラメレオンは、ここでも役割分担を用いて、この課題を回避している。 　この役割は、能力の差ではなく性格の違いによって分類された役柄であり、模倣と擬態を合わせて意図的に作り出されるものである。そこには、笑いを誘う役、愚かさを指摘する役、性的なものが好きな役、ゆるやかな囮役など様々なものがあるが、これらは個体の本来の性格とは無関係に割り振られる。しかも、その役柄は周囲の個体に応じて変化し、その度に演じ分けが必要になる、流動的なものである。その結果、キャラメレオンは、コロニーの中を移動するたびに体色を変え、外見を変え、振る舞いも変えることになる。傍から見るとあまりにも忙しく馬鹿馬鹿しい行為に���えるが、この生態は意思疎通における困難さを回避するために形成されたものである。役柄とは一種のルールであり、それに合わせた行動を取っていれば表面上は上手くいく。振る舞い方に頭を使わなくて済むし、コロニー内での摩擦も生じない。新たに生まれる上下関係も、演技と言えばまかり通るし、たとえイジメジロを呼び寄せることになっても、役柄という擬態は全てを覆い隠す。 　いきものの中には、役柄を用いるのではなく、本当の自分を使ってコミュニケーションを行うべきだと言うものもいる。しかし、キャラメレオンが自然に生まれたいうこと自体が、役柄の存在が必要とされていることを証明している。コロニーに属しているのは単に身を守るためであって、好きで一緒にいるわけではない。多くのいきものがわざわざ巣を作り、壁の内側に身を潜めるのは、隠れていた方が楽だし、安心できるからである。そして、素の自分を見せることは、自然界において弱点をさらけ出すことに等しい。つまり、本当は誰もコミュニケーションなど取りたくないのであり、キャラメレオンはその現れ方が少し極端だったというだけなのである。 　しかし、そもそもキャラメレオンに本当の自分などあるのかは疑問である。自分が最初にどんな色をしていたか、思い出せるのだろうか。隠したいのは、自分自身の色ではなく、本当は無色であるという事実なのではないか。

Charameleon 　Charameleon is chameleons that change not only body color but also behavior, according to location. It is recently that they were recognized as one species, but they are a CREATURE that inhabited all over the world for a long time. Also, it is misunderstood that most of them are young individuals. They exist regardless of the location of the ecological pyramid and whether they have a partner or not. There are many CREATURES with similar ecology, but in the case of Charameleons, there is a characteristic that mimicry is done for communication within the colony. 　When a CREATURES herds and makes colonies, in most cases, some role will occur. For example, there are one that lead their colonies, one that have a responsible for hunting, one that do child rearing, and so on. These roles are usually assigned according to their abilities. They complement each other's weaknesses by the division of roles and raise the survival rate of the whole colony. Advanced cooperation is indispensable for this division of labor, but Charameleon avoids this problem by using role sharing in also this point. 　This roles is the characters classified by differences in personalities rather than differences in abilities, and these are intentionally created together by imitation and mimicry. There are various kinds such as a character of inviting laughter, a character to point out foolishness, a character likes sexuality things, a easy decoy character, but these are allocated regardless of the original personality of the individual. Moreover, these characters are fluid things that change depending on the surrounding individuals and that need to be performed respectively each time. As a result, Charameleons change their body color, their appearance and their behavior, whenever they move among their colony. From the outside, these seem to be too busy and stupid acts, but this mode of life was formed to avoid difficulties in communication. Character is a kind of rule, and if it take action according to this, it will be good on the surface. It do not have to use its head to behave and there is no friction inside the colony, too. The newly created hierarchical relation is permitted by calling it acting. And even though it result in gathering up Bullite-eyes, the mimicry of character obscures everything. 　Some CREATURES say that communication should be done using real self, not using character. However, the fact that Charameleon was naturally born itself proves that the existence of a character is necessary. The reason why they belong to the colony is simply to protect themselves, and it is not that they are together because they like someone. Many CREATURES make a nest and lurk inside the wall, because it is easy to stay in hiding and can be calm down. And showing true self is equivalent to exposing weaknesses, in nature. Namely, no one wishes to communicate actually, and Charameleons are only a bit extreme in the appearance of this. 　However, in the first place, it is doubtful whether Charameleons has a true self. Can they remember what color they had at the beginning? What they want to hide is not the color of their own, but the fact that they are actually colorless, isn't it?

Things are picking up at work right now and Halloween times are incredibly busy with me both at my day job and performer life. Halloween and Pride believe it or not are incredibly busy for drag and burlesque performers. I have also just acquired a PS5 and have spent most of my time playing Baulder's Gate 3. ^-^'

Not dead, but will probably be very low activity/sporadically be on till November. My dms are always open for plotting! Love you all!

// I'm currently learning to GM for Cyberpunk Red since I have some friends interested in learning a new tabletop game. I recently picked up the Edgerunners mission kit, which is the closest thing we will ever get to a season 2. Everything in this kit is canon and very beginner friendly. This is the story behind David's birth and it is so beautiful! Let me know if you want the backstories of the other characters too! It has neat lore about them that wasn't in the show!
