Have I talked about my dnd character I made named Jakob (a paladin) who is totally not but definitely is Jake Dillinger?

I haven't had a chance to play him yet (mayhaps if Iphenigena dies) but he's basically on a search for his lost lover and best friend, begrudgingly doing the tasks his patron sets for him while having a severe lapse of faith/starting to doubt his devotion to his patron and the purpose he had dedicated his life to because is all this worth losing Richard and Brooklyn? Is it?

It’s low key so odd to see people in the selfship community be weird about others not wanting to share??

Tbh I’ve seen about 4 or so people selfship with my f/o and the majority of it was okay. It did make me very uncomfortable but it didn’t trigger me or make me feel bad. I just blocked for my comfort and moved on. It really isn’t that deep. One instance did trigger me but it’s contextual.

But setting boundaries are HEALTHY when you are using a space to heal. Catering your online experience to yourself is good. My therapist even said about my anxiety and sensory issues (general), that if it’s something completely inconsequential and avoidable that doesn’t affect your work life or academics, avoid it(we were talking about my hyper specific issues that do not occur in daily life). To me, that’s triggering myself with f/o content and making him remain a good coping mechanism.

I remember I used to have such harmful and intrusive thoughts about real people in my life (as I’m vulnerable to obsessive thought cycles). But him replacing that and making those thought cycles positive made so much difference. I will deal with those thoughts cycles without him regardless and I’m trying to improve on it, but at least he ensures they’re more positive.

As someone with gosh-awful trauma with adultery too it feels ignorant. Like how does it affect you??

It’s healing, and moving on. I know I won’t be a selfshipper forever, but I’m enjoying the time I do here as I fix myself.
