Accompanying Hawke to her apartment had been his idea. As the night wore on and his companion grew all the more intoxicated, Killian offered to walk her home, lest anything unsavoury befell her.

Storybrooke was a peaceful town, certainly, but it would be terribly remiss of him to neglect a lass whose ability to walk was shaky at best.

Though he had to say, she at least had good taste even whilst inebriated. Mildly surprised, he chuckled as he placed a finger against her lips.

9. who are some characters you ship your muse with? I ship Nixie with Zevran and with Tamlen. I could also see her with Alistair though; it’s just that when I play with her I romance Zevran, I think they fit together. Athena, on the other hand, is more a Alistair or a Leliana kind of girl. I could see Nathaniel with the Warden, especially a Cousland Warden for the angst xD Allys goes with Fenris for sure they’re soulmates ♥ Ethan with Merrill, but unlike Allys, I could see him with some other of his quadmates, every romanceable one tbh xD Fenris and Isabela with Hawke but I could also see them with each other, and Fenris with Bethany too, and Isabela with Merrill. As for my Inquisitors, Aurore mostly goes with Cullen. Thalia is with Solas, but I could also see her with Cullen or Blackwall after Solas left. And Clovis could be shipped with many people xD But mostly Dorian, Cassandra or Leliana.

Most of them are not really vocal about their love, especially at first, so it’s more in their actions that you would see how much they love the other; they would show they care for the others and would be there for them as much as they could. Allys is probably the one who will speak the most about it.

15. if your muse is uncomfortable in a relationship, will they address the problem or keep quiet? They will all adress the problem, but not necessarily in the same way. Nixie, Athena, Nathaniel, Thalia and Fenris would be more straightforward about it, even if it doesn’t necessarily make them feel comfortable. The others would would take their time more to talk about it, to make sure they don’t hurt the other. Isabela and Clovis will be way too charming to talk about it.

The Inquisition’s success at Halamshiral opened doors for their cause, both from the expected connections and from much smaller areas suddenly and conveniently interested in their work. Information and missions had poured in from almost every source, ramping his workload up by several degrees. Then there was the additional challenge of preparing the troops for the Western Approach; the most important – but not the only – reason he summoned her here. 

When the frontmost door groaned open, he looked up from a hastily written report aglow with the dimming embers of the sun’s setting rays. The candles surrounding the room were freshly lit in preparation for incoming twilight, their wicks crackling softly. “Hawke,” he said in greeting as she strode in. “I didn’t think you’d find it so engaging,” he replied with a quirked eyebrow, watching the parchment flap in her hand. “Perhaps I should’ve written less?”

Cullen straightened up from his hunched position to round the desk, hoping his apprehension would roll off his back like water. Instead, it clung onto the furs of his mantle and added weight to over-encumbered shoulders. He paused some paces away from where she stood as part of him considered starting with an apology, then swiftly decided against it. There was more pressing, dangerous business to broach first.  “As you know, we’ll be departing for Adamant in a few days. I wanted to discuss your involvement. I’m aware you’ll be leaving ahead of time.”

It’s so late that early has turned up to the party; even the Hanged Man is mostly empty aside from a final few maudlin drinkers and snoring drunks. The streets outside, dusty in the grey pre-dawn light, are oddly quiet, and lend none of their usual charming ambience. Even the thugs and the muggers seem to have given up. Not a scream to be heard.

And yet, in amongst all this uncharacteristic peace, Varric is yet to find the serenity of sleep. He’s grown used to it by now ---- the jostling cacophony of the crowds in the taproom, the faint sounds of shady dealings filtering through the windows. Though the city feels more peaceful than usual, it leaves him uneasy and restless.

And so ---- the knock on his door is a welcome one, regardless of the uncharitable hour. Even more welcome when he unlatches the door and looks up to see Hawke. He tips his head back in something like relief.

“Thank the Maker,” he says, fervently. “I was teetering on the edge of an existential crisis until you arrived. Sometimes I wonder how I coped before you came around and kept me waist-deep in the more interesting kinds of trouble.”

And then, it occurs to him that this isn’t exactly a popular time of the night (morning?) for social visits.

“Speaking of ---- have you brought some with you?”

Isabela was never good at showing her affection. It was always much easier to just sleeping around and kissing everyone she found attractive. But the way Hawke had defended her in front of the Arishok had made moved her more than she thought. It was probably the first time she had a REAL friend, someone who truly cared for her.

Because of everything that was happening in the city, they hadn’t seen each other in a few weeks already, so when Isabela saw Marian approaching, she couldn’t help but put a deep kiss on the other’s lips. “Sorry, I couldn’t resist. You see, I was just too happy to see you.” She teased, a playful smirk on her features.

The summer’s sweltering heat made the amusement park visit more and more burdensome as the day wore on. The two found a shaded table to perch at for a time until the ride they wanted was open. As to not give away such prime seating, they took turns traversing the long walkways to deliver each other much needed water.

Hey, come here often? Hawke approached their area with a large cup in each hand, eyebrows wiggling.

"That line stopped working after the second time,” he said as he took the refilled cup from her hands.

Raserei took a seat next to her and rested his head in one of his hands as she spoke. He was still tired from the road. This last job wore him out more than usual. But he was thankful to be back in Whiterun. However he would be happier once he was home with his daughter. He’s been spending too much time away from her.

“Ah,” his eyes widened a bit. He wasn’t hiding the fact he was picking the flower, but surprised none the less Hawke noticed, “no need. I use the petals to keep my bed smelling fresh and my daughter loves the smell of them.”

          Laughter bubbles up from somewhere deep within Dorian. He’s not sure exactly where it is that it comes from. “Hawke,” Varric says, watching her stumble to one side with an elegant pirouette, and then grunting slightly as she sprawls herself across his shoulders. "Has anyone ever told you that you could give an entire Orlesian theatre troupe a run for their money?”

He doesn’t stop. Hawke might be taller than him, but it takes a good deal of muscle to draw and reload Bianca, after all. Surface dwarf he may be, but he still has the constitution and build of his stone-working brethren. He carries on, dragging her after him like she weighs nothing at all, and thoroughly ignoring any of the looks thrown their way. He’s more than used to it, by now.

“Here’s a question. Why do we always have to go and see Blondie? You’d think he could drag his way out of Darktown every once in a while, if he’s looking for our help.” Varric’s not the biggest fan. Lowtown is one thing—he’s oddly fond of the cramped alleys and the smell of city life, of the thugs and the petty thieves and the scammers on the street corners. But Darktown? It’s just misery in a glorified sewer. There are some smells even he can’t stand for longer than ten minutes at a time.

He veers away from the pantaloons. 

         “Not your colour.”
