Blood and Silicon ep13: Alleycat Brawl

[Summary: Blake and Pauline take care of Kyra, while Leo begins to distract an approaching stranger- who surely won't show up again, right? (/lh).]

We open back where we left off: Two Gangrels (Blake and Kyra) fighting in an alleyway, Pauline and Asha trying their best, and an unconscious target (Yen) that Leo is attempting to drag to safety.

Kyra swings at Blake, and Pauline tries to grapple her to no avail. She hisses at Kyra.

Asha is panicking about her plan having gone off the rails- she asks Leo (since he's closest to her) if he thinks talking to Kyra would be a good idea. ["Talking isn't going to fucking help here."] Asha starts to help him get Yen out of the alley. They successfully drag her out of the alleyway (Leo looks back to see Blake doing Violence, quickly looking away), and the Tremere begins to hotwire a car so they can get the hell out of here.

Blake grabs Kyra by the hands- they're broken now from his grip- and tackles her to the ground, growling- her spear is away from her now. She tries to get out from his hold, and tries to use Dominate to get Blake off of her, but neither work. Pauline bites down into Kyra's wrists, spitting the flesh out of her mouth and biting down onto the other. Blake bites down into Kyra's neck- she yells.

Leo sees someone walking down the street towards them and informs Asha that someone's coming; She tells him to distract them.

The approaching stranger is a man in a suit and tie and has a newspaper under his arm- as he's walking, he sees a lanky guy (Leo) in a coat approach and ask for directions for the nearest bus stop. He gives them, albeit apprehensively, but the tall guy just keeps talking.

Meanwhile Blake is tearing out Kyra's throat. He's out of his frenzy now, but is still going. The fox gangrel manages to get out of his grasp- she's in awful shape.

Blake kicks her spear away further away from her and jumps at her, clawing into her chest- she escapes again, eyes wild, and begins to run away while transforming. Pauline grapples her and tells Blake to kill Kyra.

The man sees a woman in the distance behind Leo drag a large object into a car- it could be a person.

Meanwhile Leo is just rapid-firing off the first things he can think of now, and is currently talking about libraries, spiraling off to go on a tangent ["You know what DnD is right?"]. The man is getting annoyed now- this guy won't let him continue walking, doing that side-step thing to keep him from going any further. ["Step aside."]

Blake puts Kyra into torpor with a punch. Pauline releases her, and Blake rips out the fox gangrel's throat. He doesn't spit it out, though- he chews and swallows the flesh, and drinks whatever is left, saving just enough so she doesn't reach Final Death.

The fight is over.

Capsaicin Cookie • they/it privately, he/him publicly • polyamorous bisexual

At a young age, Capsaicin showed a lot of potential, he was taken by the school to train and is actually their youngest graduate.

Very emotionally sensitive and tends to take most things to heart. Even if they're jokes.

A People-Pleaser behind the scenes. His insecurities don't stay at just his powers. In fact, he has a fear of losing the people around him because he's not good enough.

On a more wholesome note, he tried really hard not to make it obvious he had feelings for Kouign-Amman Cookie and Prune Juice Cookie, but everyone in Scovillia had a suspicion, ironically enough.

The headmaster is his adoptive father. Capsaicin's parents went missing after he had his first anger outburst as a young child.

Kouign-Amman Cookie • she/her • bisexual

Younger sister of Madeleine Cookie. Was constantly in his shadow.

Kouign's primary reason for becoming a Paladin knight was to prove to her brother that she had just as much worth as he did. She doesn't like admitting to this.

She was always picked on by Madeleine because she admired him. In fact, he'd weaponize this a lot.

Kouign first fell hard for Capsaicin Cookie merely for his overpowering and dominating appearance. As they progressed in the TCC however, she started learning more about his actual personality.

She admittedly only liked Prune Juice for his voice when she first met him, but overtime started developing a soft spot for his clumsiness and his strange humor.

She has dated before, and miraculously, it was Raspberry Cookie.

When her closest friends and family caught hold of her crush on Capsaicin and Prune Juice, they acted like they never knew. They're really bad at it. Especially Madeleine, who was busy trying to seem not-jealous.

Kouign really likes the name "Princess Peach" but she doesn't tell anyone that.

It took her several years to learn how to even hold that sword.

Actually very interested in politics. Like chronically.

He’s got bracelets and rings that aren’t even intended as fidget things but they twist and spin and are fun to run his fingers over so they absolutely count and he Needs them if he’s going anywhere

He carries around a baseball because sometimes just holding the weight of it in his hand is really comforting!!! But throwing it/tossing it in the air is also a surefire way for him to calm down, especially if he’s super excited or angry!! It really helps to ground him when he needs it!

Not technically fidget toys, but he plays with his piercings a lot!!! Lightly pulling on his earrings, pushing his tongue piercing against the roof of his mouth, twists his labret sometimes when he’s bored, etc. etc. like he tries to force himself to sit still and Not Do That because he doesn’t think it looks Cool™️ but neurodivergent brain doesn’t care about shit like that so ❤️

He’s definitely got some squishy stress balls, too!! Like just being able to squeeze something in his palm can really help when he can feel himself getting frustrated (this one works really well for him while he’s in class or doing homework and getting upset about not understanding the material/feeling burned out/etc.)
