today at work this lady brought two big sudoku/crossword compendiums to the counter and then halfway through the transaction decided she only wanted one. I left the second book on the counter for my boss to put away. anyway. half an hour or so later my boss tells me to pack up a list of this one publisher's books into a single box, and I'm initially really unsure that they're all going to fit cause they're all weird sizes and it looks like a lot of books. but all my latent spatial, mathematical, & geometric awareness was ignited in that moment because I packed that shit like a sardine can. never has someone packed a box so intuitively, so economically. all the books fit that box so perfectly with such minimal leftover space and i felt like i was imbued with the spirits of so many Tetris champions. I was so proud of myself!!!! and then my boss mentions that there's one more book left to go in with that list. and it's the big crossword book from before and there's no way it can fit into this box i've just spent ages packing and perfecting and my boss says I need to take everything out and repack it in a bigger box and in that moment I felt like Amelie in that scene where she dissolves into a puddle of water and if that lady had only bought that book in the first place then this wouldn't've happened and anyway this is definitely in the top 10 anime betrayals

Why I like them: a dreamer, an unconventional person, not giving up despite feeling lonely most of the time and focuses on positive things in life, enjoying what she has. Plus I like how they showed her having experience with men for no other reason but because she was curious about it, not like a typical fairytale character waiting around for a prince, then falling in love for the first time and everything is perfect Why I don’t: manipulating other people too much, like with Georgette (the tobacconist) and Joseph (Gina’s jealous ex). On one hand as a result they got smth going on in their lives, but on the other hand it’s not natural, they both got interested in the other one because of the initial lie Favorite episode (scene if movie): I love when Amelie is fantasising about Nino coming into the kitchen, then she hears some noise, turns her head and it’s just a cat… and she starts crying. Aww. It’s heartbreaking. Or the scene where Nino comes to the cafe and she says “it’s not me”, then when he leaves she literally dissolves into a puddle of water. Tbh I think of more and more scenes from it, I love many Favorite season/movie:Favorite line: I love when a landlady asks Amelie: “do you believe in miracles?” And Amelie replies: “not today”. This is my favourite one.
