NSB (Straud Legacy) Gen 8 Ep. 117: Getting Ready For Baby

Their slow, secret war on Nancy Landgraab was gaining momentum and allies, and Peachy’s battle with his bulge was now entering it’s third trimester.

He felt like he could see the light at the end of the tunnel, but there were still a few things he and Jack had to do in order to be ready for their new arrival.

At their (hopefully) final OB checkup before the big event, the couple was happy to learn that despite his struggles both dad and baby were looking great.

The doctor said that as long as Peachy kept doing what he’d been doing he expected delivery to be on time and proceed relatively smoothly.

Peachy was unhappy to learn that a new hospital policy required he be admitted for a few days following a surgical birth. He understood that cutting his baby out carried health risks, but a policy like that spoke of possible complications that worried him despite Jack’s promise that he’d be well cared for.

Jack would be free to visit Peachy regularly as he recovered, since Steven and Gabby would be coming over to help with their as yet unnamed incoming grandson or granddaughter. As the couple were bouncing around ideas Jack was unsurprised to find Peachy seemed stuck on a “green” theme.

If he was going to raise a legacy heir, he was perfectly fine with a son or daughter with a preference for the color green. It had always been one of his favorite colors too, leaving him mildly curious if that was just a coincidence, or in some way had contributed to him falling into this situation.

A lifelong fondness like that couldn’t be the result of a baby not even born yet… right? He knew he couldn’t ask anyone in this nation about the topic, and as usual Peachy didn’t even seem to notice the obvious pattern, so Jack just smiled and kept his observations to himself.

With green themed names for their baby ready, the ghost of fabulous Grandy Jasper helped them decorate an adorable peach and green nursery.

As they gazed around the newly renovated space, Jack bent down and placed his head on Peachy’s massive stomach, whispering a sweet promise of love to the tiny person inside, who would soon be coming out to live and grow in this cozy room in the storied family home by the Bay.

Brand new Berrys: Mint Edition

Meet Maisie Berry. A young adult Sim who is juggling a full time job as a Scientist with attending night classes to obtain her degree in Biology and being a single parent to two dogs and two infants.

Maisie has always wanted the finer things in life and right now it seems like she is having to struggle to get them. Still, their little house is coming together and she'll be done with her degree so soon she can taste it.

Then she'll be ready to climb to the top of her career and cause a little mischief along the way. Maybe even find some love? She hasn't been lucky so far but when she does find the one, she won't let them go.

On top of it all, Maisie is a bit of a green fiend, determined to help save the environment in her home neighbourhood. If only she could convince her neighbours to agree with her.
