The medic that everybody needed the most. She always come ready to help others, no matter what the problems is, she do her best. She'll give it a full 100% and more. All to help others and gain some recognition as trust worthy and a perfect to befriends with.

For her information's, She's a nautilus. The aquatic nautilus, the cool looking aquatic creature. She's a marine biologist and a paleontologist. But in this case, she's also a medic. Being in Wasteland, many needed medic and tending to wounds and finding cures and medicines, creating medicines out of herbs or what ever they got. She become to great at it that she considering on changing profession from researcher into a nurse.

She's very kind and generous, so generous that she would sacrifice her own life for another. Even when she couldn't run very fast or defend back for herself, she still gives everything to others. Thinking that she owe them and considered herself the most useless toon out of the most. What fueled this feeling of self doubt more into is her ichor tolerant are average. at least. And she know, how painful the progress is. She remembers and is thankful that it didn't reach phase two in time because she know she would've died back there.

She be a very chatter box around Shelly, talking a lot about dinosaur, prehistoric critters and fossils. She considered herself closed friend to Shelly and have a slight crush on Shelly. But she know that Shelly probably have a special spot for someone in her heart, so she kept quiet and respect her. She will always be by her side and help her what ever she could With Brightney, she got along very well since these two are book worms and doing researches, sometimes together while another time, she overworked at nighttime while letting Brightney take over in the daytime. Although both are overworked, I could guess that they would try to force one another to go take a break or rest to recharge. With Razzle and Dazzle, she felt the most heart broken for the two. Knowing the two, especially Razzle having a very hard time in this Wasteland then any she know. These two, are a fuel for her determination to push herself to research more to find the cure/antidote to help them. But even then, when ever she got time, she always pay them a visits with what ever healthy snacks she got or drinks to make sure they are alright and feeling not alone.

Chaos Theory Thoughts:

Season 3 Episode 5

Brooklynn's existence is pretty funny if you think about it. She's was a child travel vlogger with enough influence to market for the biggest theme park on the planet who was presumed dead when that place crumbled and fell apart, only to come back to become a journalist for a few years before being tragically killed in an Allosaurus attack, only to then be discovered to be working with animal traffickers and is currently under investigation by interpol. Imagine how long her wikipedia page is.

A bit of a side tangent, but it's always been interesting to me that the Jurassic World franchise is a little separated from the general paleonerd community online. Like, for example, ask any dinosaur enthusiast what would be a good species to fill in the role of a small and harmless looking herbivore that has a surprisingly powerful and bone-crushing bite, the first and most obvious choice would be a small Ceratopsian like Protoceratops, animals known from the fossil record to use their strong jaws and sharp beaks to defend themselves. Yet, for some reason, the JW franchise went for Lystrosaurus, an animal almost always typecast as a bumbling but sturdy prehistoric pig. I wish I could listen in on the early phases of these movies and hear the reasoning behind including the species that they chose.

This was a great conversation, it shows how much Kenji has grown over these past few days. He was resentful and sad and a little suicidal, but given a place with a warm bed where he can sleep and think and feel the support and love of his friends gives him the chance to rest and process his feelings. He decides that, for his own good, he can't keep following Brooklynn and I am grateful that the show doesn't make him out to be selfish for that choice.

That is one fucked up transition, lmfao. I loved this moment, while Ben and Gia chose to go separate ways they fully understand why the other person chose that path and are in complete support. In contrast, Yaz and Sammy can't understand each other no matter how much obvious therapy techniques they're using. Gia admits she's scared and Ben accepts it, Sammy can't admit she's scared and Yaz insults her over it. Gia and Ben reminisce about a shitty date and laugh, Sammy and Yaz argue about their trauma and yell. It's genuinely such a perfect little parallel that it makes me giddy, like this is some top tier writing and directing and Jesus Christ does it hurt the soul. I love it! I LOVE ANGST!

I like that it's Ben who understands immediately and offers comfort, he was the first one that Yaz trusted to tell about her crush and he's been supportive of them since say one. He probably knows more than anyone how big of a deal that this is.

As a prehistoric shrimp-thing, these guys are mostly exoskeleton, no chunk. I also couldn’t find anything on their slime or mucous secretion, which makes sense since we only have fossils to go off of. I’m left to assume that they were dry little guys. They min-maxed for maximum funk though. Look at this guy. What a creature.

I don’t know a whole lot about fossils since I didn’t have a dinosaur phase. However, I do love a good Cambrian creechur. I want to pat its flat little head.

Sitting here watching Jurrasic Park for the milli-fuckin-th time and have been thinking about ways the parked could've worked if they had, like, at least one person who ran a successful zoo with animals that weren't depressed.

Theres a whole post somewhere about giving the dinosaurs enrichment within their enclosures- like a giant pumpkin full of goats for the t-rex's, puzzles and doors with handles for the raptors, etc- and I can't help but to agree.

If Hammond had been patient and set up at least a year of just watching and researching the creatures they made, on the island were there are no cages and whatnot, then "paid no experience" to get some kind of animal handlers or something who have worked with apex predators- the carnivores in the park would've been too preoccupied with whatever lil toys and games that were made for them to be running at electic fences or noticing that said fences weren't elecrified anymore (like eventually they would've probably noticed? But if you have the big-boi-T-rex busy all day trying to get his lil arms into a giant verson of one of those dog treat things where you coat the inside with peanut butter? Big-boi would be too tired at night to go poke at a fence)

Now yes, the "raptors" (apparently the ones in the movies are closer to Utah raptors, not velocerapters?) could still pose a large problem with those large craniums the movies give them (those girls are sitting like, from well trained dog to tested monkey level of problem solvin). Solution? Don't breed raptor?

Yeah they'd miss out on one of the most popular dinosaur attraction, but the park would totally be safer. (it alsp would of they just, didn't put any of the carnivorous boys on the island but lets be real, that would be asking too mich of a large corporation) If they REALLY want raptors they could probably start with a much larger encloser to let them run around and check out the entire thing, then probably place different mazes with different prizes given to them at the end (maybe not food unless tbey see a human giving saod food to them or they'll associate "escape" or "getting in/out" of something = "food at the end" and end up eating whatever they see on the other side unless they are trained to associate "human" as "food giver" and not food)

But yeah. If Hammond had gotten a research team to go watch the "wild" creations he made for at least a year (if not each creatures life spans), hired trainers, handlers, etc who have worked with apex predators and large herbivors, had paid for larger enclosers and any enrichment for the animls- maybe his park would've held a better chance.

Oh, and firing Henry Wu. That was something the post I referenced earlier added- and I agree. Also, no making up "new dinosaurs" the things you made are already "new dinosaurs" because they're different to fossils and will have a diffierent behavior due to the new ecosystem they have been thrusted into (I believe both Henry and Grant make comments about this? The fact that what was made for the park weren't actually dinosaurs, just creatures we started giving that name to for lack of a better one)

Just make more dino merch if they park starts failing! But lets be real, with the emount of neurodivergent people who hyperfixate on dinosaurs, and the amount of kids that have a dinosaur phase almost right away, Jurassic Park would always have some kind of audience.

I thought about Huebei and thought of a couple of really cute ideas.

First and foremost, I can see archeology and paleantology being a special interest of hers even going into her adulthood. Girl wants to work on archeology dig sites and stuff and loves the museum. In Soft Boiled Wukong asks MK to help him out by taking her to a trip to a museum while he and the rest of the Noodle Gang set up a surprise party for her on the island the first time her birthday comes up after the monkey family met the group.

Second... and I don't really know WHY, but I can see her being a dancer. Maybe a ribbon dancer or something, but I think of her dancing gracefully as her tall, lanky teenage self and as her buffer adult self and think,'Yeah, that fits.' I can only assume it's the bit of Macaque's dad's influence that she likes performing. Goodness knows she didn't get it from Wukong! Although he can be just as artistic too and as someone who is artistic from an artistic family, I find that if an inheritance trait, even if my style of art is completely different from my siblings' preferred media. We all joke I'm the only one who can draw even tho all the rest of them can play music, something I frankly am terrible at no matter how much I practice altho that could be the stage fright speaking

Third, I can totally see her and Red being inseparable as babies. They were born not far apart in age and basically have similar powers to each other, whenever Uwkong needed a break he'd go to DBK for babysitting and vice versa up until their falling out and Wukong being forced to seal DBK away. It's for this reason I imagine she would like to sneak out to Uncle Bull's resting place just to be near him again. She knows her dad didn't really have a choice, but she misses Uncle Bull and Red. She makes sure Red never sees her or knows she's there when the Bull Family visit.

The first thing Wukong teaches her, besides how to control her lazer eyes, is the transformations. This was a bit of a necessity since, during the journey and shortly afterwards, Wukong would find himself in a situation where demons and celestials of all walks in life would try to sneak onto the island to search him and his cub out. While most were just curious, a few beings did not mean them well, but luckily for Wukong, they only ever searched for a monkey and his baby... they never searched for a sparrow or a tiger. Fresh from the Journey, visitors were the last things Wukong wanted to deal with!

Yuebei quickly starts to see MK as a sort of big brother figure, in spite if her jealousy that he of all beings got picked to be her father's heir and not her. It didn't matter to her that she had explicitly told her father once she never wanted to follow in his footsteps, that staff is her BIRTHRIGHT! Even so, the first time MK got hurt in front of her (Calabash episode actually) she near lost her shit.

Haha! I do love having Yuebei be interested in bone-based sciences due to her literary association with bones. She was def a "dinosaur-kid" who would run up and down beaches, digging up little shell fossils to bring home and show to her baba. Wukong isn't 100% sure what a trilobite is, but his cub is super excited to explain them to him when she found a weird fossilized pillbug. Wukong just loves that his babygirl has such a passionate interest in the world.

As Yuebei gets older, she goes through phases of hyperfixating on different archaeological eras and cultures. As someone who has an ornament cabinet full of Egyptian god statues from one such phase, I can imagine a few sections of the Stone Palace treasury has been organized so Yuebei can display her interests.

I can imagine (even pre-series) Tang running into Yuebei at the museum, the little glamoured demon just fascinated by a display/diorama on Tang-era trade routes. The scholar thinks its the cutest thing ever! The two become sort of nerd buddies once Yuebei warms up to the Noodle Gang.

I have watched some performances, and many of the dancers are buff af.

I can see Wukong struggling to find a creative or physical outlet his daughter would enjoy, only to turn around to find the cub dancing with a stray phoenix feather. He sighs, knowing that the theatrical spirit of Macaque has lived on in some way. Heavens know Yuebei is far more confident on stage than Wukong will ever be!

Yuebei and Red Son were def tight as cousins well up until Bull got imprisoned, and they still have an "older sibling, younger sister" relationship in the modern day. PIF and Red never held Wukong's actions against his child, and if the little rebel liked to visit her auntie and cousin without her baba's permission, then they would accommodate her.

I love the idea of Wukong training his daughter some key powers, like the transformations. Yuebei's different transformations tend to be dark furred/scaled/feathered with little red-orange flecks. Almost like a certain Macaque's... one thing she has trouble changing is the age of the animal she turns into. She's almost always a juvenile of the species no matter how hard she tries.

Yuebei, showing off: "Watch this! I can turn into a tiger!" MK, excited: "Sweet!" Yuebei: (*transforms into a tiger cub*) MK, wondering if that was intentional: "Umm..." Yuebei, furious: "Not. A. Word."

And ofc the baby girl had a problem with her lazer eyes shooting off whenever she had a tantrum - so Wukong had to devise a way to help her control those early on. Welding goggles and sunglasses help a lot on his end, but Guanyin also helped teach younger Yuebei meditation techniques so she could calm down in the moment and avoid triggering a shot.

In the end, even if Yuebei naturally developed a lot of her baba's powers, she sort of resents that MK was chosen as his successor and not her. But she also *knows* it killed her baba to give the Nüwa-made cub up to give him a "normal" life. A life that she couldn't have...

She wants MK to realise his responsibility and not waste it. But also wants to be a kid like he does. The two have to work together to make a balance.

Dinosaur Fossil Found in Rio Grande do Sul after Rains

Skeleton, almost complete, could be from one of the oldest families on record

Recent rains in Rio Grande do Sul led researchers to discover a dinosaur fossil. The expedition led by paleontologist Rodrigo Temp Müller, from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), identified the partially exposed bones in São João do Polêsine, a town of 2,649 inhabitants, located 221 km from Porto Alegre.

The specimen could be the second most complete herrerasaurid— which lived about 230 million years ago—ever discovered in the world.

The bones indicate that the dinosaur reached about 2.5 meters in length. Once the analysis is completed, researchers will begin a new phase of investigation to determine if the specimen belongs to a known species or if it is a new one.

This isn't a headcanon that I think I've spoken about before but for some reason it just makes sense to me that Alan would really like dinosaurs.

He probably had a dino phase as a kid, had dino themed everything mixed in with all his space themed stuff and learned all the different names and species. Even though his focus has shifted mostly to space, Alan still loves his dinosaurs and has some dinosaur shirts and models in his room.

Gordon would share his interest in dinosaurs but he was more focused on the ocean dwelling kind. He and Alan still talk dinos from time especially when a new kind of fossil is discovered deep in the ocean. 🦖🦕

ooooh fav dinosaur................ i REAALLY like plesiosaurs :DDDD aquatic creechurs are interesting to me (this may or may not have come from my cryptid/loch ness monster phase........ i also think its funny that ppl think nessie could be a plesiosaur when plesiosaurs just. couldnt move their necks like that 😭) also i like Mary Anning (she discovered the first complete plesiosaur fossil :O)
