Nocchi: Respect to YMO ♦️

We had the honor of performing in the opening show “RYDEEN REBOOT” at the MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2025.

Apparently, we were the spirits of the red carpet 💃💃💃

This new, large-scale award show, MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN, was launched in Kyoto for the first time. It’s organized by CEIPA, a collaboration of the five major organizations in the Japanese music industry coming together, breaking down barriers 💪👏

The opening show was a performance woven together around YMO’s iconic track “Rydeen”, in tribute to this year’s symbolic artist: Yellow Magic Orchestra.

Perfume had the honor of opening the show. Yes, we were the spirits of the red carpet.

We acted as a bridge, wishing for a beautiful future of music in Japan, in the world, and for everyone.

From Haruomi Hosono’s speech to Perfume and then to Yoshinori Sunahara— our souls were absolutely shaken with awe.

We’re deeply grateful to have been part of such a wonderful project. It was truly an honor 😳 Thank you so much!
