Random Date Everything characters NSFW headcanons
Characters featured: Hector, Parker, Lux, Dunk
Ageless/minors DNI
Hector
His favorite part of sex is not actually the sex itself it's the foreplay before anything.
He loves to tease your body by gently moving his hands around your body, and soft kissing anywhere he can like it's some sort of worship. He tries his best to make you squirm and relishes it
This might be a surprise, but most times he doesn't like being a bottom yet he doesn't like to be a dominant top either. He's definitely a soft top wanting you taking the lead, and tell him how to please you
That's not to say that he minds being a bottom but he prefers to help you
Definitely not avoid to be kinky specially if his God wants it. He loves doing anything and everything he can to please you
Except for pain and degrading. He would never even let himself insult you let alone hurt you. the most he'll do is biting and very light choking. Phantom choking basically.
He's actually very silent during sex, and masturbating. The vents aren't really that private you know
Most you'll hear in sex is small panting, and whines but he'll give you more noise if you request
Probably goes without saying, but he loves when you're somewhat demanding. Don't be too cruel about it, but he does love someone that knows what they want
He also wants to know he's doing well. Please praise him for anything he does right for communication sake, and his praise kink
He love's adding temperature play anyway he can to your love making
If you were cold/hot he would make purposeful effort to make his body the opposite so when he touches you, you would feel all the more
Subtly raise the heat slowly forcing you to strip more and more
Occasionally when you're in the middle of sex he'll use the grate on his outfit to blow one thing of cold air to shock you
Aftercare is a must every time. He does not let himself rest until you are clean and taking care of
Lux
(Not sure where to put this but I did give them a dick despite them not having a confirmed sex I think so keep that in mind I guess. I'll keep from doing this in the future tho)
I hate them *proceeds to make these anyway*
When they said you guys only have sex when they wants to upload something on Fans Only they means it. It's hard to convince them when they're not in the mood especially so when they're in the middle of a stream
But if you convince them mostly by sucking up to then they'll end a stream like "I guess that's it for today's stream luxxies! Make sure to check Fans Only soon byeee!~"
Recordings, live and photos are a given.
And if you're lucky enough even outside of Fans Only "Don't count on it"
They're most definitely a grower. A absurdly nice grower bigger than you'd expect. Along with that they're very smooth not having any body hair.
They moans like a pornstar. It's unclear if it's for the recording or they're just like that
Very into exhibition. They don't mind anyone watching honestly they're into it frankly. If they're in the mood it's happening no matter what
Also slightly masochist very into hair pulling and one or two nice slap on the ass
Obviously mostly a bottom, but if they feeling particularly devilish they'll top
When they top they do it to prove a point/a punishment
Favorite "punishment" is you choking on their dick for sure
They love too cum on your face then lay their dick on your tongue. It just makes you so pretty for their Fans Only
They'll say stuff like "good girl/boy/slut" in a condescending way to you after taking these punishments
You will at least have to have a threesome once with some other person Lux choose
Parker Brandley
Good fucking luck buddy
First you got to win that love dice roll and now you need to somehow make board games sex related or it's not happening
Lucky for you strip poker does technically count. Maybe not a board game but it has clear rules and if Uno counts this can count to. He will not let you get away with using this all the time tho
Despite how stingy he can be with it he's very easy to work up. Just a little too much skin and/or touching a certain way can give him a boner instantly
He's quite nervous. Being awkward, and fidget quite a bit for your first time, but he quickly gets into the groove after a bit
When you finally get to the stage of actually doing something he's a feral animal with it
Massive switch! He doesn't really care what way it goes
Bottoming he's very noisy, and reacts very intensely. Unless you gag him the whole house is going to hear his semi screaming
Topping intense, and quick. Boy does not waste a second he acts like it's the end of the world as a plows into you speeding up.
Still a delightful mix of serious and a bit goofy during sex "Ohohoh~! Holy fucking shit!"
When he's more comfortable he'll probably confront you directly for his wants. "Whoever wins tops" he says putting a board game in front of you abruptly.
If you do cheat he will deny having sex outright tho
Nothing sexy like orgasm denial just straight up denying sex maybe for multiple days depending how pissed he is. You only get orgasm denial privileges when you play rightfully and you try to distract him in the game because it's only fair then
He's secretly not really so secretly a pervert his eyes widening cartoonously if you wear a skimpy outfit. Looking over your body secretly whenever he can (it's very obvious)
I feel in my heart of hearts that he is a thighs guy and he wants to be crushed by your thighs so badly
Dunk Shuttlecock
Let's just say it up front and right here you have to tell him if you want sex. He will not and won't catch on to hints or innuendos
His mentality on sports is similar to the mentality he has with sex. He just wants it to be enjoyable doesn't matter how fast, slow, intense, goofy, as long as your both having a great time
Tho if you ask him to give you it to you rough oh he sure will but the chance of you accidentally getting a bruise from it and him apologizing after is higher then maybe preferable(depending who you are) but it's a small risk for a unbelievably great time
However regularly he still has pretty good pace at least enough to make you a little weak after
His stamina is crazy willing to do like 3 to 4 rounds if you're up to it of course. He'll makes sure not to exhaust you too much taking decent breaks in between rounds to get yourself prepared
He's doesn't take sex not all too seriously grinning like a goof, and sometimes giggling
If you're the ticklish type he would definitely tickle you randomly during sex just to hear your laugh
He would be so into funny role play sex. Porno quality stuff as you both try to keep a straight face
Think of stuff you typical would expect like jock and cheerleader, jock and nerd, ect ect. Maybe even a pizza delivery thing too
He's not against a little exhibition. Sometimes grabbing you by the wrist to go somewhere more quiet
Something something shake weight joke
Eats pussy like a champ I know he does. That's not to say he's not good with a dick too [insert shuttlecock joke]
Naked yoga into sex. That's it
Quite a big fan of cockwarming while cuddling in between rounds or after sex
He's naturally a top and prefers being top too but if you ask him cute/sexually enough he'll gladly take the back seat

⟡꒰ addicted to you ꒱⟡
Tumblr media
➜ summary: paige is your drug dealer but it turns into more
➜ warnings: drugs, addiction, mentions of od, smut (r receiving), first person (ew), takes place during college but p isn’t on the basketball team bc that’s unrealistic that she’d be dealing while being a pro athlete yk
➜ pairing: drug dealer!paige/uconn x reader
➜ authors note: idfk why i added angst it was unnecessary
Tumblr media
it started with a text.
my original dealer had moved out of the state, so i needed to find a new one. luckily, one of my friends knew someone at uconn who was a dealer. her name was paige and she only dealt to her friends and people she knew, including my friend. i got a text from paige a few hours after my friend told me about her.
paige: yo heard u lookin for sum me: yeah, what do u have? paige: what DONT i have
that was the start.
it began with her giving me weed. whether it was carts or blunts, she always had something for me. she started referring to my pen as ‘the penguin’ whenever i was sad. she’d be like, “aye, at least you got your penguin, huh?” or “that penguin gon’ make you feel better, though.” i made it her contact name.
then it became edibles. first the 10 mg wylds. the sour cherry one was good but it wasn’t strong enough so she recommended the brand devour. they were sour gummy strips and were 300 mg which she said was a lot. “don’t take too much. maybe a quarter at a time because that shit is strong.”
maybe i should’ve listened because the night when i took two whole strips, i ended up in the hospital.
i called 9/11 myself because i thought i was dying. after that, i didn’t talk to paige for weeks. i knew it wasn’t her fault because she told me not to take too much. she warned me and it was my fault for not listening. she stopped by my dorm though. she apologized, she cried, i cried, and then we fell asleep on my couch.
a few months later, i started buying from her again. it was the wylds again - i was too scared to take the other ones but it wasn’t about the drugs anymore. i would text her, asking about edibles, even though i still had so many left. i just needed an excuse to see her.
it went from asking to drugs when i didn’t need or want any to just asking her if she was around and wanted to come over. she always came, a smirk on her face like she knew i didn’t actually want drugs. she never commented on it, though. she just sat in silence with me or talked about anything and everything. it was a sort of peace that i don’t think either of us had in our everyday lives.
i started to notice the little things about paige. the freckles on her nose and the way she always smelled like expensive cologne, how she never sat on the far end of the couch - always close. i noticed how her fingers felt when they brushed against mine while passing a dome, how her voice always softened when i was having a bad day, how she strived to make me smile.
we were more than just a plug and her usual customer, we were friends. maybe we were even more than that. i didn’t want the drugs anymore, i wanted paige. i wanted to hear her laugh, see her smile, wear her hoodies. everything i felt about her was more and it terrified me. there was a night when i fell asleep while she was over and i woke up to her on the bed next to me. her hoodie covered her face but her hand was gripping mine.
after that, i did more to make my feelings clear. i’d hug her longer, hold her hand, and ask her to go out to movies or grocery shopping with me. never once did she say no. eventually, i had a pile of her hoodies in my room and she kept a toothbrush in my bathroom. i didn’t ask what we were - i was scared of her answer. but then, last friday, we kissed. a real, disney movie kiss. we were laying in my bed high, talking about our childhoods when she told me she was gay. i told her i was too and then she kissed me. it was euphoric and that was when i knew i was in love with her.
fast forward to today. paige was in my bed like usual, listening to her playlist on my speaker while hitting her peach ice dome. her head was on my shoulder, legs tangled with mine. the song apocolypse by c.a.s started playing and she whispered, “i want to feel this kind of love,” i smiled and nodded, my voice soft, “me too.”
this time, i kissed her, our lips colliding in a way that was slow and passionate. her vape fell from her hand, rolling onto the floor, her fingers clutching my her hoodie like if she let go, i’d disappear. she deepend the kiss with a soft sigh so i took the opportunity to slip my tongue into her mouth. she tasted like her dome and something almost cinnamony. i wrapped my arms around her neck and pressed against her as she fought me for dominance, almost as if she’d been waiting for this ever since we first met. maybe she had been.
she pulled back, just slightly, forehead leaning against mine. her voice was barely audible, but i felt it more than i heard it: “do you want me?” it was more vulnerable and soft than it was teasing. i felt the weight of her emotions through her words and knew she felt how i did. i nodded and whispered, “yeah,” right as sweater weather by the neighborhood started playing. she leaned in again, moving on top of me, and this time there was no rush. her nails scraped the sides of my neck as she kissed me, her tongue sliding against mine in a wet, passionate mess.
paige took her time undressing me. first my shirt, then my bra so she could kiss my breasts. she didn’t bite or leave marks, she just left soft kisses and licks. she kissed her way down my body, making sure that not one inch of skin went unworshipped. she slowly pulled her shirt off, revealing her black nike sports bra and broad shoulders. i knew she liked to work out but damn. she settled between my legs and pulled down my pajama pants, kissing the edge of my underwear and working her way down my thighs. i didn’t beg, i didn’t rush her. i let her take her time with me. every touch was electrifying.
she pressed a soft kiss to my clothed pussy, looking up at me with her gorgeous blue eyes. “can i?” she asked, her voice soft and caring. i nodded breathlessly, a mix of love and lust in my eyes, “yeah… please.” she nodded, wasting no time to tug down my panties and toss them to the ground. she kissed my inner thighs and then pressed her lips ever-so-gently to my clit, earning a soft whimper from me.
“you’re so fucking beautiful…” she murmured before diving in. her tongue licked a stripe up my slit before circling my clit and sucking on it. i moaned softly, my hands falling to her head in a silent plea for her to stay there and she did. she continued to suck my clit before she ran her tongue to my entrance, getting a real and solid taste of me, moaning against my pussy, “you taste like heaven.”
my back arches off my bed, her hands on my hips to keep me in place. her mouth felt so good that i wanted to cry. nothing about this moment, right now, was anything short of passionate and loving. her mouth worshipped me, lapping up everything i had to offer. her nose flicked against my clit as she ate me out, her tongue pushing deeper and deeper into my cunt. my toes curled and i whispered, “i’m gonna cum.” she caressed my hip and murmured, “i know. cum for me, baby.”
so i did. my body rolled over the edge, cunt clenching around her tongue helplessly as i came. she fucked me through it, her tongue and lips slowing down at my pace. she kissed my clit gently a few times, making me whine from overstimulation but i didn’t push her away. i couldn’t. she looked up at me, her eyes holding a silent question and i just nodded. she kissed my thigh and moved up my body, calloused hand caressing my cheek.
“i love you,” paiged whispered. my heart raced and i felt a smile form on my lips. “i love you too.”
Tumblr media
it started how it ended: with a text.
penguin 🐧💞: hey, can i come ovr? me: yeah
i knew. of course i knew. when paige stepped into my dorm, she didn’t sit down. she didn’t kiss me. she looked at the floor and whispered, “i think we got in too deep.” her eyes were steady but her voice wasn’t. “so you don’t love me?” my voice was broken, the tears already falling. “of course i do. i just-” she didn’t finish. she didn’t have to. we were quiet for a while before she left, the door echoing behind her.
there were nights when i cried, nights when i was angry, and nights where i went back to the drugs to try and forget her. i would lay in bed and apocalypse would play and i could swear i felt her hand in mine but when i looked, there was no one there.
i still had the stack of hoodies she gave me that i’d wear when i got high. they still smelled like her - expensive cologne and peach ice. sometimes when it got hard, i could still hear her smooth voice whispering in my ear, “that penguin gon’ make it feel better, though.”
it never did. nothing, not even drugs, could replace her.

I think the most hazardous thing about AI as a cheating tool is how little effort it takes to generate something that looks acceptable if you don't know anything.
If OP had just copied and pasted the entire Sparknotes page, they would have known that was unacceptable. If they'd written an essay that went, "Yeah, this book sucked and I hated it. I hated the movie, too. So the book and the movie were similar that way," they would have known that didn't meet the assignment.
I get tons of ChatGPT essays every time I assign writing. They universally do not meet either the prompt or the structural guidelines. But students who are used to using these things just assume that they've done what they were asked to do! Most of my writing assignments could be completed by going through the example and replacing the specific facts. However, doing that would require reading the assignment and understanding what they were being asked to do, the steps that AI cheating purports to circumvent.
Like, listen. In order to encourage people to actually do the assignment, I give 5 points for giving the essay a title and header. If a student turned in a word document with the appropriate header, a centered title, and then the entire essay was just, "Yeah, I got nothing," they would get 5 points. On one of my assignments, if they wrote "Yeah, I got nothing," five times on separate lines, they'd have 15 points, because there's a 10-point rubric item for "Has five paragraphs." The rubric is public.
Most of the GPT essays I get don't even do that and end up getting zero.
That's the thing that's really insidious about GPT-based cheating. Unlike other kinds of cheating, it doesn't require basic comprehension of what the assignment is asking for in order to produce results that look like a response to the assignment.
I don't think it's necessarily "making [people] dumber," simply because I think most of the people trying to cheat their way through school using AI today would have simply not done the assignments in a previous era. To me, the biggest problem with "AI" cheating is that an assignment that wasn't turned in is much easier to grade than a pile of AI slop.
Whenever I think about students using AI, I think about an essay I did in high school. Now see, we were reading The Grapes of Wrath, and I just couldn't do it. I got 25 pages in and my brain refused to read any more. I hated it. And its not like I hate the classics, I loved English class and I loved reading. I had even enjoyed Of Mice and Men, which I had read for fun. For some reason though, I absolutely could NOT read The Grapes of Wrath.
And it turned out I also couldn't watch the movie. I fell asleep in class both days we were watching it.
This, of course, meant I had to cheat on my essay.
And I got an A.
The essay was to compare the book and the movie and discuss the changes and how that affected the story.
Well it turned out Sparknotes had an entire section devoted to comparing and contrasting the book and the movie. Using that, and flipping to pages mentioned in Sparknotes to read sections of the book, I was able to bullshit an A paper.
But see the thing is, that this kind of 'cheating' still takes skills, you still learn things.
I had to know how to find the information I needed, I needed to be able to comprehend what sparknotes was saying and the analysis they did, I needed to know how to USE the information I read there to write an essay, I needed to know how to make sure none of it was marked as plagerized. I had to form an opinion on the sparknotes analysis so I could express my own opinions in the essay.
Was it cheating? Yeah, I didn't read the book or watch the movie. I used Sparknotes. It was a lot less work than if I had read the book and watched the movie and done it all myself.
The thing is though, I still had to use my fucking brain. Being able to bullshit an essay like that is a skill in and of itself that is useful. I exercised important skills, and even if it wasnt the intended way I still learned.
ChatGTP and other AI do not give that experience to people, people have to do nothing and gain nothing from it.
Using AI is absolutely different from other ways students have cheated in the past, and I stand by my opinion that its making students dumber, more helpless, and less capable.
However you feel about higher education, I think its undeniable that students using chatgtp is to their detriment. And by extension a detriment to anyone they work with or anyone who has to rely on them for something.

Best massage ever
Paige x Azzi
WC: 1.7K
AN: the anon who gave me this idea. I love you. This one's for you freaky frogs!! I call this smut with some plot!! Enjoy 🥰(I just finished writing this from like a month ago…)
————————————————————————————
Azzi loved the gym. It was her safe space to go to when she needed to quiet her mind.
Or her feelings for a certain blonde teammate, who’s also her best friend.
Azzi knew she liked Paige when she was fifteen during USA basketball. She knew she liked Paige when she quarantined at her house before her first year at Uconn and made stupid recruitment videos. She knew she liked Paige on her eighteenth birthday, which was also her recruitment announcement day, when she chose Uconn. She knew she really liked Paige when CD gave them their rooming assignments and Paige was one of her roommates.
So it was safe to say Azzi spent a lot of time in the gym.
Azzi usually spent her time in the gym alone but Caroline tagged along with her this time. Things were going well as they always do when Azzi’s in the gym. Today was a leg day for her and she was doing some leg presses when Caroline walked over to her.
“Az, you know how much I love you, right?” Caroline started.
Azzi scoffed lightly, continuing her set. “Yeah, Care. You good?”
Caroline nodded. “No, yeah, I’m great. I just, you know, as your best friend I wanna see you… happy is all. You know, not living in the gym.”
Azzi paused. “I don’t live in the– Caroline, what are you getting at?”
“I just think you should… tell Paige how you feel. I mean, hear me out, it’s super obvi she feels the same way and I just- I love you, I really do, but I hate when you make me come with you so you can avoid Paige. Which, by the way, is practically impossible because y’all are roommates.” Caroline said, finishing her ramble.
Azzi just blinked at her. How could she think that she’s deliberately avoiding Paige. She lives with her. It would be crazy to avoid her because she likes her. Right?
“I’m gonna go now. Backs of my legs are sore, y’know.” Azzi stated, standing up to grab her stuff.
“Az, you know I didn’t mean it like that–” Caroline began.
Azzi shook her head as she walked towards the door. “No, no, it’s good. I’ll uh, see you later.”
With that, Azzi left the gym and started walking to her apartment.
Her mind was moving at a million miles per second thinking about what Caroline had said.
Was Carol right? Does Paige like me? Was it obvious she felt the same way? Did everyone see it but me? There’s no way she could like me? I know I kinda disappear at the gym but it’s not necessarily to avoid her. Right?
Azzi was so in her head the entire walk home she didn’t even realize she was standing at her front door, or that her legs were actually burning.
Azzi stepped inside, the door clicking shut behind her. She didn’t even realize how sore she actually was until she leaned against the wall to kick her shoes off.
“Hey,” Paige said from the couch, her voice light and familiar in a way that made Azzi’s chest ache. “How was the gym?”
Azzi nodded, stretching her arms up over her head. “Good. It was leg day though, so I’m sore as shit right now.”
Paige grinned, standing up to walk over. “Aw, poor you.”
Azzi rolled her eyes, but she didn’t miss how Paige looked at her as she walked over.
“You want a massage?” Paige offered, sliding her phone into her pocket. “I mean, I’m not pro like the trainers, but I’m like top two.”
Azzi raised her eyebrows. “Oh yeah, and who told you that? They’re for sure lying to you.”
“Kk,” Paige said without missing a beat, smirking.
Azzi let out a small laugh and walked over to the couch and dramatically flopped down onto it. “Y’know what, sure Paige. I could probably use it anyways.”
“Aight, cool. Just lay there on your stomach and I’ll be back. Imma grab some lotion.” Paige said, before disappearing down the hallway.
Azzi adjusted herself on the couch, flipping onto her stomach. Her sports bra dug uncomfortably into her back as she tried to relax.
When Paige returned, she looked down at her for a second. “You can take your bra off if you want. It might be in the way.”
Azzi didn’t hesitate. “Good call,” she mumbled, sitting up to pull it over her head and letting it drop onto the floor beside her.
Paige tried to ignore the quick flutter in her chest as she straddled the edge of the couch and squeezed some lotion into her hands. She started gently, working on Azzi’s upper back and shoulders, the silence between them comfortable but humming with something unspoken.
“Lower,” Azzi murmured after a few minutes. “My glutes and thighs are worse. Please.”
Paige moved down without a second thought, beginning to knead her way over Azzi’s thighs.
But Azzi felt the hesitation.
“Paige,” she said, her voice low, “I know you’re probably trying to be respectful or whatever, but I really need you to like, be… harder. I’m sore as shit right now, so please actually touch my ass for once.”
There was a beat of silence. Then Paige let out a surprised laugh.
“Okay then,” she said, smiling wide, “whatever you want princess.”
Azzi chuckled, cheek smushed against the couch pillow. “Thank you.”
Paige leaned in again, her fingers finding the tense muscles in Azzi’s butt. She tried her best to keep her mind focused, but the moment was starting to feel... charged. Intimate.
After a minute, Azzi peeked over her shoulder. “You’re gonna have a hard time getting in there with my shorts on.”
Paige blinked. “You want me to...?”
Azzi nodded once. “Yeah. Just take ‘em off. It’ll help.”
Paige hesitated, then gently tugged the waistband of Azzi’s shorts down, revealing a tiny black thong that made her brain short circuit.
“Fuck, Az,” she whispered without thinking.
Azzi’s cheeks flushed. “Just, keep going.”
The massage continued—genuine, professional if you will—but with every minute that passed, the air between them thickened. Paige’s fingers brushed higher on Azzi’s thigh, and Azzi made a small, unguarded sound—soft, pleased.
Paige froze.
Azzi turned her head slightly. “Don’t stop,” she said, quiet and honest. “Please, P.”
Paige swallowed, fingers still resting gently against her skin. “Az...”
“Yeah?”
“I don’t think I can pretend this is just a massage anymore.”
Azzi pushed herself up slightly, just enough to meet Paige’s eyes.
“Then don’t.”
Paige nodded slowly, understanding the weight of what Azzi was saying to her. With that, she inched her hand higher on Azzi’s inner thigh, close enough to her core where she could feel the wetness that had gathered there.
“Shit, Az. All this, from a massage?” Paige muttered, tracing small circles between Azzi’s thighs, lightly brushing against her center.
Azzi turned her head, “Paige, I’d so rather you fuck me than sit here and tease me.”
Paige chuckled softly at how needy Azzi was being and nodded, leaning forward near Azzi’s ear. “I gotchu, princess.”
With that, Paige moved her fingers to rub small circles on Azzi’s clit through her soaked panties. Azzi shuddered at the touch. Her body relaxing deeper into the couch.
Paige sped up her circles and Azzi moved her hips back onto Paige’s hand. Silently begging for more.
Azzi’s hips rocked gently against Paige’s hand, her breath shaky, head buried in the couch pillow. Paige’s fingers moved expertly, slow but deliberate, slipping beneath the thin fabric of her thong, finally touching her directly.
Azzi let out a shaky moan, barely loud but so full.
Paige stilled. Not because she wanted to stop—but because something in her chest tugged so hard it almost hurt.
She didn’t want this to just be some tension-breaking hookup. She didn’t want to look at Azzi tomorrow and pretend it never happened. She didn’t want this to stay unspoken.
Paige leaned down, her lips brushing against the curve of Azzi’s shoulder. “Az…”
Azzi turned her head, her eyes heavy but open, searching.
“I—” Paige hesitated. “I don’t want this to be just… this. I don’t want to fuck you unless you know it means something to me.”
Azzi blinked. Her breath caught—not from Paige’s fingers, but from her words.
She shifted, turning over onto her back beneath Paige’s weight, the flush still high on her cheeks, but her expression soft.
“I’ve been in love with you since I was fifteen,” she said quietly. “Since USA basketball. Since that stupid recruitment video. Since you let me sleep in your bed when I got homesick.”
Paige’s lips parted, stunned still.
“I didn’t tell you,” Azzi continued, “because I thought you didn’t feel it too. That you just… wanted to be close. Not like that.”
Paige let out a breathless laugh, her forehead pressing to Azzi’s. “Azzi. You’ve been the only thing I’ve wanted since before I even knew what the hell I was feeling.”
Azzi smiled softly, cupping Paige’s face with lotion-slick fingers. “Yeah?”
“Yeah,” Paige whispered, kissing her slowly—no teasing, no smirk, just gentle. Real. Like the years they danced around this had built up to this one moment.
Azzi pulled her closer, whispering against her lips, “Then show me. But not just because I asked.”
Paige shook her head, her voice a breath, “No, baby. Because I’ve been waiting years to.”
She kissed down Azzi’s jaw, her collarbone, tracing every place she’d always wanted to touch but never let herself. Her hands moved with purpose now—not teasing anymore, not careful. Loving. Claiming.
Azzi’s legs fell open easily for her, but her hands found Paige’s again, lacing their fingers together. “This is the part where you call me your good girl, by the way,” she whispered, breathless. “Just in case you forgot.”
Paige smirked, heart racing. “Never.”
Then she leaned down, fingers still working inside her, lips brushing Azzi’s ear.
“You’re my good girl,” she whispered. “My favorite. My best friend. My person. You always have been.”
Azzi moaned again, louder this time, arching into her, chasing more—of Paige, of this. Of everything they’d been holding in.
And when she came— gasping Paige’s name messily—it wasn’t just pleasure she felt. It was safety between them. It was theirs.
She laid there after, flushed and fucked out, while Paige curled beside her on the couch, brushing hair from her face, pressing soft kisses to her temple.
“I love you,” Paige said simply, like it had always been true.
Azzi turned to her, smiling sleepily. “I know. I love you too.”
And just like that, years of silence turned into the softest sound in the world.

notes: based off of this ask, this is kinda different from the actual ask I'm sorry 😭
-- you and niki have an argument.

the past two weeks have just been weird.
conversations between the two of you used to come natural.
it was almost like drinking water between the two of you. and its crazy to think of where you two are now.
it's hard to even fit your sleeping schedules today.
he's out all day and you're out for half of it.
the other half you don't get to breathe.
you're putting up with it because you knew this was the cost to be able to graduate with the degree that you want.
he hasn't even been staying many nights at your place anymore. you'd gotten the same text from him every night around seven pm for a week.
-sorry I can't come over tonight, don't wait up for me!
but the second week came and he stopped texting in all.
it stung a bit. because even though that message would bring your mood down. it was still from him. it was something from him.
sometimes you'd text him a good morning, he'd reply hours later with a good night.
it just felt like you were chasing after the shadow of him, you could see him there but he would inevitably be unreachable, and you were beginning to sense your legs giving out.
niki wasn't doing any better than you.
his face was drained of his natural color, he had bags under his eyes from the nights he lied awake in bed, fighting his thoughts.
it was never easy for him to speak on his feelings, never easy to be the first to do something.
his thoughts were eating him alive. no matter how much he tried, he just couldn't reach out first.
he hated how he felt. he hated himself. he hated that he stopped texting you, stopped calling, stopped coming by.
your apartment was a thirty minute drive from his dorm. he doesn't know what's holding him back.
the boys had noticed this change in him, but nobody asked him about it. they knew he'd just brush it off. he'd tell them it's nothing.
so they didn't push. they stayed quiet. despite the soundless whispers they'd share between each other at night about him.
niki knew.
how could he not? he noticed everything.
it wasn't until the end of the two week mark that jake walked up to him.
they finished practice and the plan was to shower then head over to the recording room.
everyone left, and jake was about to follow after but his hand slipped from the handle.
the door shut abruptly, the noise catching niki’s attention, making him turn his head towards the door.
"hyung?" niki called out, jake dropped the bag that was hanging off his shoulder.
he walked over to where niki was sitting against the mirrored walls.
he copied his position, sitting criss-crossed in front of him.
"just," he sighed, "just say it, niki." jake's eyebrows furrowed, "what's going on?"
niki bit his tongue. jake didn't even ask what's wrong. he asked what was going on. and that was enough of a difference to make his eyes sting.
"I'm an asshole." niki whispered. "I-I don't even know what to do to fix what I did." niki felt a hand on his knee. it was warm against his cold skin, even though he was still sweaty from practice.
"I can help, or i'll try to. just tell me."
niki's head finally raised, his red eyes that were heavy from fatigue finally meeting jakes.
"I don't even know how it started. we were fine like three weeks ago. I was holding her before bed, and she'd wake me up. we'd get ready for the day together," he sniffled, "a-and then I just started getting really busy with our comeback and I was canceling a lot on her. and the days I was finally free she'd cancel on me because of finals seasons. it was just back and forth from there." niki rubbed his left eye with his index finger. jake saw that it was wet when he lowered his hand from his face.
"I stopped texting her everyday because I felt embarrassed. I mean, I'm her boyfriend. the whole point of me is to be there for her. she shouldn't even have to call out my name for me to be next to her."
jake let out a quiet breath. niki breathed in a heavy one.
"I really fucked up. and I can't even bring myself to talk to her. every chance that I get to, I just pull back. I don't know whats fucking wrong with me." he let out a sob now, his hands coming up to rest on his head.
jake pulled his hands away from his head, grabbing his shoulders.
"nothing is wrong with you. okay?" niki tilted his head. "you're just going through a bump in the road. a very large bump. but one nonetheless. and you know the thing about bumps?" niki shook his head. "they end. they're there, and they're a pain in the ass but they end."
jake saw the tears in his eyes fall down, his nose red.
"go over to her apartment right now. I'll tell everyone you weren't feeling well. I want you to go over to her empty handed and talk. even if the thought of it is nauseating." niki gulps, but he nods his head.
jake pulled him into his arms, just holding him there. he could feel niki trembling. the poor boy went nearly a month with no touch, no contact.
niki pulled away, looking at jake's face for a few seconds.
"thank you."
--
the drive to your apartment was daunting.
the whole thirty-two minutes he was on the verge of either sobbing or throwing up.
so when he finally parked his car in front of the building, he rubbed a hand over his face and pulled his hoodie over his head.
he made his way up to your room number. a heavy breath made its way out of his body.
he knocked three times then stopped.
looking at his phone, it was 6:13.
he doesn't know if you're home right now. he doesn't even know if you're home.
soon enough, the door swung open.
"riki?"
his heart broke at your voice.
you couldn't believe that he was standing in front of you.
your thoughts were nonstop but your mind was empty.
you thought seeing him would make you sad, upset.
but really, it just made you angry.
you brought him inside. not wanting your nosy neighbors to get an ear of whatever was going to happen.
"what are you doing here." you asked flatly.
you could see his lips turn downwards.
"y/n-" he stopped himself when he saw your face.
you looked so....disappointed, angry, upset, annoyed, and everything in between. the look was enough to make all his emotions resurface.
no words were coming out of his mouth and that somehow worsened it all for him.
"I know you didn't drive all the way here after three weeks to guilt trip me, riki." you scoffed, crossing your arms over your chest.
"no.." he mumbled, gazing at the ground.
"god, I'm so sorry. I don't even know how to start." he licked his lips, "I was so-, god, so wrong and selfish and I shouldn't have ghosted you. I'm supposed to be there with you and I failed. I left y-you alone because I was afraid. and you know what? I still am." his voice broke towards the end.
your face softened a bit. just a bit.
"that doesn't make up for any of this, riki." your voice was firm, your hands moved to gesture between you two.
"I know." he sounded so broken, "and it's my fault, I should've talked with you, I shouldn't have kept everything inside." "but you did."
he felt powerless. like no matter what he would say, or do, wouldn't be enough.
"y/n, please. it was so hard, baby. I swear it." he felt a lump form in his throat. "I couldn't sleep well, I didn't wanna eat. I missed you. so much. and it fucking killed me knowing I could have fixed everything earlier. it was just so hard. it felt like the past three weeks, everything bad in my life was piling up. it's been so hard."
he took a step closer to you.
"I love you. I love you. I love you and everything about you. I missed all of you too." his hands balled into fists on his sides, he felt like he had to physically stop himself from touching you. he didn't know if he had your permission just yet.
"I missed how you'd hold me, how you'd wake me up, how it was you I'd come home to." he knew he probably looked and sounded pathetic. but at this point? he didn't care.
when you saw niki cry, that was it for you. you couldn't help but get watery eyes too.
he never cried, not in front of you at least.
its been two years of you two dating and he's never actually cried in front of you.
"riki-" he shook his head. "please don't call me that." his eyes looked at you, they were red, a bit puffy and held such a weight to them.
he always told you how much he hated hearing his full name from you.
"I-I know i shouldn't have done all of this. and i know i keep saying how i shouldnt have or what i should've done but, please. can i get another chance?"
you sighed, the whole facade you were hoping of keeping up came crumbling down.
you couldn't stay mad at him, maybe upset, but not mad. and you didn't want to yell at him.
"okay.." you walked up to right in front of him, not making any contact yet. "but we're still gonna talk later."
he nodded his head, biting on his lower lip.
"it isn't just your fault, its mine a bit too." he shook his head at your words. "n-no, baby. its all me. really."
you brought a hand up to his cheek. you felt your heart break when he closed his eyes, leaning into your touch.
how did you go nearly a month without this man? and how did he nearly go a month without you?
he wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into his body. his warmth. the way his shoulders shook slightly against yours and the crook of your neck got wet from his face was enough to really break you.
having him in your arms like this, you couldn't deny the fact that you didn't miss him anymore.
niki kept his voice quiet, still muttering a string of "I'm sorry"s into your body.
you brought a hand up to rest on the back of his head, your fingers tangling into his hair as you pulled closer to your body.
"I missed you too, baby. I missed you so much. i'm sorry."
the feeling of your hand in his hair and the emotion he felt from your words calmed him down. shaky breaths leaving him now.
ten minutes, ten solid minutes of the two of you sitting in each other arms passed when you said the first word.
"niki, baby?" you called out softly, you heard him reply with a hum. "let's eat, yeah? I know you're probably hungry." he pulled away from you, but kept a hand on your sleeve. he nodded his head, following you as you walked into your kitchen.
you had some leftover food from yesterday, and so you began heating those up.
the whole time you could feel him watching him. like he wanted to say something but he couldn't bring himself to say it. and whenever your eyes would look at him, his would stray away. gazing at the ground as he played with the drawstrings of his hoodie.
niki doesn't think he's ever felt so welcomely unwelcome.
he knew you were okay with him being there, in your own space, but something was still eating at him, telling him he shouldn't even be allowed to have the luxury of sitting down and eating with you.
he was quiet, standing by the entrance of the kitchen and watching you.
the same kitchen you two would make your morning coffees together and bake silly recipes you found online.
it's crazy how fast things can change.
"riki?" you called out. "yeah?" he looked at you with glossy eyes. "come on, let's go sit."
the first thing he noticed when you two sat at your dinner table was the food.
you'd purposefully given him a much larger portion than your own plate.
he reached over the table for your hands, placing a kiss to both of them.
"thank you." he whispered, holding onto your hands tightly.
the whole dinner was silent, you both finished and brought your dishes to the kitchen. he washed and you dried.
that feeling settled into niki again.
"can I stay over....?" he asked when you two finished cleaning.
did he really think you were going to say no?
"of course you can, you wanna freshen up? I'll just be out here." you placed a hand on his shoulder, rubbing up and down. he nodded his head, walking away.
niki went into your room, you had a cabinet full of his clothes because of how often he'd stay over.
he picked out some for himself and went into the bathroom.
you still had his toothbrush, his face wash, his shampoo. everything was still there.
maybe he was in his head too much.
twenty minutes passed from then until he came out, he seemed calmer. his face looked like it too.
niki saw you working on the couch, laptop in your lap as you typed away to whatever assignment you were doing.
he took a seat next to you, his leg bouncing as he decided what he should say. or do.
before he even knew it, you were closing your laptop and facing him.
you laid your head on his chest, snuggling into him. niki felt his heartbeat speed up, he was pretty sure you could hear it.
"I'll always love you. no matter what." you reassured, pressing a kiss to his collarbone.
his breath hitched, and his cheeks tinted with a light pink. niki was always a bit sensitive there. the lack of physical contact and sensitivity made him catch your kiss off guard.
he cleared his throat, wrapping an arm around your waist.
your face was resting softly, there didn't seem to be any trace of your previous emotions.
your eyes were heavy with sleep, cheeks bare from any makeup, and your lips,
god your lips.
he missed them. he missed how they felt, how warm they were. he missed the feeling of them on his own.
he didn't even realize he had a hand tracing over your face. he pulled his hand back quickly.
he couldn't be the first one to touch you. not after everything. you have to set the boundaries and he'll follow.
"why'd you move your hand?" his eyes widened. "u-um, I didn't know if you'd want me to...um, touch you again." his voice was so small, not even in volume but just in its emotion.
"you really think that I don't want you to? now?" he shrugged his shoulders weakly.
you got up, moving to straddle his lap, placing both your hands on his face.
"baby," you looked into his eyes, gaze never wavering. "i'm your girlfriend, niki. I want you to hold me and touch me." your thumb rubbing circles into his face.
he nodded his head, placing his shaky hands on your waist. he breathed out from his nose, his eyes closing and his head falling onto your shoulder.
"right," he mumbled.
he relaxed himself again, focusing on the way your body felt against his.
he doesnt think he could even express in words how much pain he was in for the past weeks.
hed gotten so used to everything from you.
when he'd get a hug from his members, it didn't feel the same as yours. it didn't hold the same satisfying heaviness as yours did.
he'd never tell you, but over at his dorm you left a hoodie behind.
every night he fall asleep with it, and every morning he'd wake up early enough to hide it before one of the boys saw.
but he didn't know that he did a bad job at that. he didn't know that jungwon was always the one to wake up the earliest and peek into everyone's rooms.
and he didn't know that jungwon had texted you countless times, asking when's the next time you'd come over. just to be completely dodged by your replies.
and you'd never tell him, but he had a cologne of his that he left over at your place once. and you'd spray it on one of your pillows, holding it when you'd fall asleep.
"I'm tired, ki..." you mumbled against him, adjusting your head against his chest.
he bit back a smile, one caused purely because of the cuteness he saw from you.
"let's sleep, then." he said quietly, holding onto you as he laid down on the couch. your body on top of his.
he closed his eyes when he heard your voice again.
"ki?"
"yeah?"
"you'll be here...when I wake up. right?"
he interlocked his hand with yours. squeezing gently.
"yeah. I will." he promised, bringing your hand up as he placed a kiss on it.

The news of the breakup spread like wildfire.
To be honest, you hadn’t expected anything different. This had to be one of the rare times that Caleb hated being in PR because even you could tell that he was working way too hard.
And of course, your name had been brought up multiple times, but so far there wasn’t anything actually threatening thanks to Bucky and Hazel having attended the gala together right before they broke up.
“Mom, how did you know dad was the one?”
Your mother looked up from the bowl she was mixing the cake mixture in, then let out a laugh.
“What brought this on?”
“Just curious.” You dangled your legs from the high stool and sipped your coffee before putting the mug on the kitchen island. “Also, I would like to ask again, why are we in the kitchen? You don’t cook.”
“I’m baking.”
“You don’t bake either.”
“Well, one of the girls in my spiritual retreat said it would be a good bonding practice between mothers and daughters.”
You pulled your brows together.
“I guess today is good as any to start,” you murmured. “Fine, okay. We’re bonding, see? Tell me how you knew, other than the fact that he dazzled you with money.”
“Oh I didn’t care about the money.”
You tilted your head. “Uh, are you sure? I mean no offense obviously, but I always assumed money played a part. Safety and all that.”
“I did feel safe with him but that had nothing to do with the money.”
“So you were actually in love with him.”
“I was and I am.”
You made a face. “Oh come on, that I don’t buy. You can be honest, there’s no way you’re still in love with him.”
“Why not?”
You let out a laugh. “Because he’s evil?”
She rolled her eyes and started pouring the mixture into the cupcake tray. “He’s not evil, honey.”
“Well…” You cleared your throat. “I mean he has been bribing and extorting politicians for decades so that things work the way he wants them to work. That’s like, textbook bad. Disney movie bad.”
“Funny, I heard a lot of people say Bucky Barnes is a bad man, but you seem very eager to defend him.”
“That has nothing to do with—okay, let’s never ever put Bucky in the same category with dad ever again,” you said with a laugh. “It’s kind of like lumping The Night King and Jon Snow together.”
“I didn’t watch that show.”
“They’re like complete opposites.” You took another sip of your coffee. “Let me put it this way; Bucky would sacrifice his own life to save someone, dad would sacrifice the whole world to save himself.”
“And you, and me.”
You made a noise of disagreement.
“Let’s not get ahead of ourselves,” you said. “You yes. Me, doubtful.”
“He does love you, you know.”
“No he doesn’t.” You shrugged your shoulders. “And I don’t mind, really.”
“He does,” your mother insisted. “It’s just that, you’re both very stubborn and don’t know how to communicate.”
“That and our political stances and our principles and our goals are very different.”
“So what?” she asked as if it was just trivial, and you scoffed a laugh.
“You seriously don’t mind what he does?” you asked. “All those people he hurt? All the corruption?”
“I’m not interested in what he does at work. I’m interested in what kind of a man he is with us, his family.”
You grimaced. “That’s not how it works, mom.”
“It’s how it works with me.”
You rubbed at your eyes, heaving a sigh. “I guess this just proves it.”
“Proves what?”
“I’ve always thought that…” you trailed off. “I’ve always thought you and him were just meant to be together, but I wasn’t supposed to be in the picture.”
“Never say that!” She gasped. “We love you!”
“That’s not it,” you said with a weak smile. “No, you guys make sense together, in some very weird and unhealthy way. But I don’t, you know what I mean?”
“That’s so not true,” she said, putting pieces of chocolate into the batter in the pan. “And as I’ve said, your father loves you and me. What he does at work doesn’t matter.”
“It actually does,” you said. “You might be able to pick and choose, but I wouldn’t be able to do that.”
“Is that why you broke up with Max?”
“That dickhead voted for the opposition.”
She turned to you. “Please tell me you didn’t break up with him over that.”
“See? It doesn’t matter to you,” you said. “But it matters to me. And hey, it’s a good thing I dumped him, apparently he was cheating on me anyway.”
Her jaw dropped and she reached out to squeeze your hand. “Aw I’m sorry.”
“It’s fine, I don’t care,” you said. “I mastered the art of detachment thanks to the revolving door of nannies you guys kept changing when I was little, so it’s okay.”
“Well, we just didn’t know who was the best for you.”
You bit at your lip to hold back your retort.
“How’s everything at work?” she asked. “Are those rumors still going on?”
“Well, to some extent but no picture or anything,” you said. “Just whispers.”
“And you like him?”
“Professionally, yes.”
Bullshit.
It was a good thing that your mother hardly ever spent time with you, she didn’t know how to read you.
The truth was that every day your feelings for Bucky were getting deeper. You knew that Hazel was right, you knew the risks but somehow, when you thought about him kissing you…
Your brain just refused to be logical.
Granted that didn’t mean you were going to throw all the caution to the wind, but you were wondering if something was wrong with you if that didn’t intimidate you as much as it was supposed to.
“A lot of my friends think he’s too handsome to be in politics.” Her voice pulled you out of your thoughts. “And they have a lot of questions.”
“About him?”
She hummed and walked to the oven to take a look at it. “Which button do I turn?”
You jumped from the stool to turn the button. “This one.”
“Aw thank you,” she said as she put the tray in, then closed it and turned to you. “So what’s he like?”
You took your seat again. “In politics?”
“In his daily life. Why did he and that girl break up?”
You cleared your throat. “Um, difference in opinions.”
“On what?”
“No idea, that’s what I’ve been told.”
She hummed, sitting down as well. “And you guys are close?”
“Professionally.”
“But you consider him a friend as well?” she asked. “I don’t know many people who are friends with their boss.”
“You don’t know many people with a boss.”
“Fair,” she admitted. “But that’s irrelevant. Tell me more about him, we’re all curious. Is he nice?”
“Oh absolutely.”
“To you? Even with all these rumors?”
You couldn’t help but smile, then nodded your head.
“He um…” you trailed off, biting your lip. “He’s amazing, mom. I know a lot of people think there are still traces of the Winter Soldier in him, but it’s not like that at all. He’s the sweetest, I’d trust him with my life. He even—”
You stopped yourself and your mother leaned in, curiosity shining in her eyes. “What?”
“He got Blinky back for me.”
She blinked a couple of times in confusion. “Who’s Blinky?”
Of course.
You hesitated for a second before you forced yourself to smile and shook your head.
“It’s not important,” you mumbled. “Anyways, enough about me, how was your retreat?”
                                                *
The next day, you didn’t even have the time to go to lunch. You had to work on the draft Bucky had asked you to, and of course you had volunteered to go over the revisions Lucas had sent you just so that you could impress Congresswoman Gray, and your phone kept buzzing with emails every two minutes.
And for some reason, everything was louder today.
You took a deep breath, willing your heartbeat to calm down as you clenched and unclenched your hands, staring at the screen before you deleted the last line, and added a new one.
“Please don’t tell me we’re back to skipping lunch for work.”
Your fingers froze over the keyboard before you looked over your shoulder to see Bucky watching you, leaning against the doorframe.
“I had a protein bar and like two cups of red eye, I’m fine.”
His worried gaze raked over you, making your heartbeat even faster.
“I thought we had a deal.”
“I’ll eat when I’m done with this.” You nodded at the screen and he came to lean against your desk, making you bite back a smile.
“Birdie.”
You heaved a dramatic sigh at his teasing tone and looked up at him. “Hm?”
“Let’s have lunch.”
“You literally came back from lunch.”
“I can eat again.” He started tilting the screen of your laptop down but you batted his hand away, then fixed the screen again. “It’s a metabolism thing.”
“Super soldier metabolism?”
“Mm hm.”
“Good for you, I’m too busy,” you said. “I already spent enough time doing nothing with my mom yesterday when I was supposed to go over this, so…”
“You were with your mom?” he asked. “How did that go?”
“Dad wasn’t home so it was fine. Ish.”
“Fine-ish?”
“My mom doesn’t really know much about me but the parts she knows, she loves to dismiss,” you said. “They make a terrific couple with my dad, terrible parents though.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t be,” you said. “Without them, my old therapist wouldn’t have been able to buy her second Ferrari, so I guess it wasn’t a total disaster.”
“And you can tell me all about it while we’re having lunch.”
You turned to your laptop. “Take a powder, Barnes.”
Out of the corner of your eye, you could see the clear confusion on his face but it turned into an amused smile, a chuckle escaping his lips.
“How did you…?”
“Hey, I could have an extensive vocabulary.” You grinned at him. “You don’t know my lexicon.”
“Right. Why do I feel like you googled 40s slang?”
“I once saw you google if lavender is edible, so how about we stop pointing fingers?” you asked and he shook his head vigorously.
“In my defense, Kelsey got me a lavender latte and insisted I had to try it.”
“And what did you think? Your assistant was trying to poison you?”
He shot you a look as if you were asking him a question with a very obvious answer. “It’s Kelsey.”
You thought for a moment, then shrugged your shoulders.
“Fair enough,” you said. “But come on, she—”
You stopped talking when your phone started buzzing, making both you and Bucky turn your glances to the screen, and you both frowned at the same time.
“He’s still calling you?” Bucky asked and held out his hand for you to give him the phone, but you shook your head.
“I’ll handle him,” you said and answered the phone. “Max, go fu—”
“Wait wait, don’t hang up,” he cut you off. “I swear, this will be very civil and you’re gonna want to listen to what I have to say.”
You rolled your eyes, leaning back on your chair while Bucky kept his eyes on you.
“What?” you asked crossly and he took a deep breath.
“I saw that piece about you and Barnes.”
“I’m going to hang up now.”
“A journalist contacted me,” he said in a rush. “He wanted to know whether there was anything going on between you and him while we were still dating.”
Your stomach dropped, your eyes snapping up to Bucky before you gritted your teeth.
“And let me guess,” you said. “You told him you’d think about it and now you’re calling me to ask for something.”
“No actually,” he said. “I told him we broke up because I cheated on you, because you put your career over our relationship, the very same career you wouldn’t risk for anyone much less your boss.”
You pulled back slightly. “…What?”
“I gathered ambitious bitch sounded better than greedy slut. Not that you’re either of those but you know, the guy was an asshole.”
You let out a surprised laugh.
“You’re telling me you had the perfect opportunity to fuck with me and you didn’t take it?”
“Yeah.”
“And you’re not asking for anything in return?”
“No, I just wanted to let you know,” he said. “If they called me, it means they’re working on a piece.”
You frowned, drumming your fingernails on the desk.
“And why would you do this without asking for anything in return?”
He fell quiet for a moment, then cleared his throat.
“Tessa said she’d leave me if I didn’t go to therapy,” he said. “And my therapist made me realize it wasn’t cool, what I did. What with keeping Blinky and stuff.”
“By ‘stuff’ you mean cheating on me, or the ultimatum or going behind my back at voting?” you asked and he took a deep breath.
“Yeah. Sorry about all that.”
As much as you wanted to tell him to go fuck himself, you figured this was at least just a little progress.
Very little, but either way.
“Well, what do you know?” you muttered. “I mean you’re still an asshole, that goes without saying but I appreciate the heads up.”
“My therapist says I have um… he says I am scared of emotional intimacy. That’s why I cheated on you, he says.”
“Yeah Max, because he can’t say you’re an asshole. You’re paying him.”
“I guess.” He snorted a laugh. “How’s DC?”
“Full of people who’d love to step on your back for their own gain. I haven’t slept in two days.”
Bucky shot you a disapproving look but you waved a hand in the air.
“So you’re having the time of your life?”
“Something like that.”
“That’s good—” He started but you heard another voice coming from the other line, probably his assistant. “I uh, sorry, I gotta go. Work thing.”
“I gathered,” you replied. “It’s almost five minutes.”
“…Yeah, that wasn’t cool either,” he said. “Also sorry about that.”
“Listen, how about I send you a list of things you should be sorry for and we can get all of them out the way?”
He let out a chuckle. “That’d make therapy so much easier. Can I call or email you to apologize then?”
“Call me and I’ll see if I’m in the forgiving mood,” you said and hung up, then looked up at Bucky.
“So, great news,” you said. “A journalist asked Max if you and I had an affair while I was with him, but he said no.”
“And he didn’t ask for anything in return?”
“He’s doing therapy, as it turns out,” you said. “My belief in psychology has been renewed because honestly, if they can make Max apologize…”
Bucky’s lips twitched into a smile and you bounced your leg, biting inside your cheek.
“We need to find who this journalist is.”
“I will.” His voice was completely calm. “And I’ll take care of it.”
“You can’t threaten him.”
“If he didn’t want me to threaten him, he shouldn’t have dragged you into whatever nonsense he’s working on,” he said, making your heart skip a beat. “That’s just not how it works.”
You tilted your head, feigning confusion. “I thought I was the one protecting you.”
He winked at you. “It’s a two-way street.”
You rolled your eyes at him playfully as he turned his head to look at the approaching footsteps before Caleb appeared at the door and let out a groan.
“I’m like two seconds away from assigning a chaperone to you like we’re in Georgian era,” he said. “Bucky, you might be familiar with that.”
“Wrong century, Caleb.”
“Well, how about we don’t start another fire when I’ve just extinguished the other one?”
You held up your hands and turned your attention to the screen, your cheeks burning and Bucky heaved a sigh, then pushed himself off the desk.
“Make her eat something.”
“I will but did you have the chance to think about what I said?”
You looked between them. “What did you say?”
“Caleb thinks we all should have a barbeque at my new place,” Bucky said. “Something something PR.”
“It would show you’re still relatable and that you’re doing fine after the breakup.”
“That’s not a terrible idea,” you mused. “I haven’t been to your new place yet, and I missed Alpine.”
“And the team would love it,” Caleb added and Bucky’s gaze stopped on you as if he was torn between ideas, then cleared his throat.
“Yeah, whatever,” he told Caleb who pumped his fist in the air in victory. “Just let me know when.”
“Will do!”
“And I’m not locking Alpine in the room,” he said as he walked into his office. “She gives me an attitude for days when I do that.”
Caleb approached you to plop down on the chair next to your desk.
“Thanks for convincing him.”
“I barely said anything.”
“Well, I’ve been begging him for a week and one word from you…” he trailed off and you shook your head, then turned to him.
“Caleb.”
“Hm?”
“There’s something you need to know as Bucky’s communications director.”
His grin wiped off his face in a second. “What?”
“There’s a journalist,” you said. “And apparently he’s been asking questions about me and Bucky.”
Caleb ran a hand over his face, cussing under his breath.
“Of course,” he said and pulled out his phone. “It was getting a bit too peaceful today, so why not? Be right back.”
You watched him walk out of the office and pressed your hands on your eyes before you dropped them, straightening your back.
“It’s fine,” you murmured to yourself as you turned your attention back to the screen. “It’s totally fine.”
                                      *
As your anxiety would show you; it was not, in fact, fine.
You had spent the whole day working, and now almost everyone had left but Kelsey and Bucky, both of whom were in a meeting with Congressman Murray.
And you. Working overtime.
It was already dark out, and the only thing illuminating the office was your laptop screen. You could feel the migraine slowly making its way to your temples. For the whole day, your chest hadn’t stopped feeling tight, like you couldn’t get enough air into your lungs especially after Max had told you about the journalist. In addition to all that, the work you had to cover was getting bigger and bigger, you still had one hundred pages to go over, and to make the necessary edits.
In other news, you might have bitten more than you could chew.
You typed away at the keyboard, forcing yourself to hum a melody in hopes of calming yourself down before you got up from your chair to make your way to Bucky’s office. You grabbed the file from his desk and went back to your desk, but before you could sit down, your phone buzzed on the desk, the screen lighting up.
From: Dad
We need to talk about the journalist.
And just like that, your line of sight grew narrow, darkness swallowing everything else other than the phone.
To your terror, you could feel the familiar tingling spreading over your face as your throat tightened, the breath you were taking getting stuck there. A fire burned through your chest, twisting your heart harder and harder while it tried to escape from your ribcage. You could feel your whole body beginning to shake, the floor getting wobbly underneath your feet like quicksand as you took a step back, grasping at your throat with one hand.
You’re not dying.
It’s a panic attack, you’re not dying.
Except that you were sinking.
You held onto the desk with one hand and managed to crouch down to sit on the floor as the room started spinning, your heart pounding in your ears. Nausea crashed down on you while you tried to get enough air in your lungs, your other hand balling up into fist tight enough to cramp.
You’re not dying.
You couldn’t even tell if it was tears or cold sweat running down your face; it was probably both. Your hand on your throat slipped down to your chest to press on it in hopes of soothing the pain there while you forced yourself to take another breath.
You’re not dying.
You see a laptop, you see a chair, you see a—
You hadn’t even heard Bucky stepping into the office before he rushed to you, his hands grasping your upper arms, almost frantically checking you for injuries like he wanted to see if you were bleeding.
“Birdie?”
“Not dying,” you managed to gasp out. “Panic attack.”
That made him stop only for a moment, a look of absolute relief crossing his face and he let out a breath.
“Okay,” he said. “You’re breathing very fast right now, can you breathe with me?”
You nodded your head, taking a shaky breath at the same time as him, then exhaled. For almost a minute, you followed his lead and once you weren’t breathing as fast, he gave you a small smile.
“There you go,” he said. “Five things you can see?”
That made your eyes snap to his as you took another breath. “How do you—?”
“Five things,” he said and you exhaled.
“Laptop,” you rasped out. “Chair. Papers. Desk. My fox figure on my desk.”
“Four things you can hear.”
You tried to focus, pulling your brows together.
“Your voice,” you said. “Footsteps from the hallway. AC.  Um…”
“One more.”
“The laptop running,” you said, pressing your palm on the floor. “And three things I can feel are…the marble floor, and sweat dripping down the back of my neck, which is fucking disgusting—”
“Birdie, focus.”
“And um, the wind. From the AC.”
“And two things you can—”
“Smell. Your cologne and paper. I just printed a bunch of stuff.”
“And one thing you can taste?”
“Blood. I bit my tongue too hard.”
His eyes searched your face and you let out another shaky breath, exhaustion creeping up on you as you leaned your head back to the wall. Bucky hesitated for a second before he sat beside you, leaning back against the wall.
“How do you know grounding techniques?” you asked after a pause and he shrugged his shoulders.
“Mandatory therapy.”
“Ah,” you said, fixing your eyes on the ceiling. “Interesting.”
“And I’m guessing this is not your first panic attack?” he asked, making you scoff a laugh.
“Nope,” you said. “Been having them since I was like twelve.”
Bucky’s brows pulled into a frown. “Twelve?”
“Yup,” you said. “As it turns out, if you put too much pressure on a kid and yell at them whenever they didn’t meet the expectations, their brain gets messed up. Who would’ve known?”
“I’m going to kill your father.”
“You can’t,” you said. “If he’s dead, who’s gonna go around crossroads to make deals for people’s souls?”
“Birdie.”
“I’m fine,” you said even if your arms felt way too heavy when you raised your hand to wipe the sweat off your forehead. “This happens, no big deal.”
“How often?”
“Not regular,” you said. “Sometimes. But let me tell you, I would not last a day back in the 1940s. I saw those documentaries, my husband would send me off to an asylum and they’d try to lobotomize—”
“I’m giving you time off.”
“Tough shit, I’m not taking it.”
He gave you a look. “I’ll change the locks to the office.”
“I’ll work in the hallway.”
He ran a hand over his face as if he was straining his mind to come up with a solution and you wiggled your brows despite exhaustion.
“Sorry. I guess you shouldn’t have hired me, huh?”
“If I hadn’t hired you, neither of us would be here,” he said and thought for a moment. “Well, I wouldn’t be, at least. You would have probably made someone else win so you’d be here.”
“I wouldn’t have worked for someone else,” you murmured and he licked his lips.
“Please take some time off.”
“Nope.”
“You either take some time off, or I’m hiring someone to help you out with the workload.”
Your eyes widened. “Bucky, no.”
“Bucky yes.”
“I don’t trust anyone else with what I do,” you said. “They’re gonna miss something, some detail and then I’ll have to go over what they did anyway.”
“Either vacation, or this,” he said, his voice signaling this was not open to discussion. “You’re not leaving me with many options here.”
“There is an option!” you exclaimed. “The system we have works.”
“It obviously doesn’t if you haven’t slept in two days and the workload is triggering a panic attack.”
“It didn’t though!” you insisted. “It’s a coincidence, not a chain of events.”
“I’m not risking it.”
You huffed out, slipping a little on the floor and crossing your arms while Bucky’s lips twitched into a fond smile.
“You’re pouting.”
“I’m not pouting, I’m contemplating,” you corrected him and gritted your teeth, then rolled your eyes. “Fine. I’ll give the okay though, whoever you hire. I need to make sure they can handle this whole thing.”
“Didn’t think otherwise.”
You let out a noise of displeasure, exhaustion still heavy on your whole body and you leaned your head on his shoulder with a tired sigh. He dipped his head to nuzzle into your hair, making your stomach do a happy flip and you played with the bracelet around your wrist.
“Bucky?”
He hummed into your hair.
“How did it go with Murray?”
He raised his lips from your hair so that you could hear him; “We’re not talking about work right now.”
“But—”
“Nope.”
“Fine,” you said with a pout. “How are you handling the breakup?”
That made him fall quiet for a moment before he cleared his throat.
“I’m fine.”
You lifted your head and sat up straighter to look up at him better.
“Are you?” you insisted. “For real? Because I wouldn’t blame you if you weren’t. I mean no offense but Hazel is kind of perfect.”
“She is,” Bucky said immediately. “She really is, but I don’t think—uh, I don’t think I was the right person for her.
Your heart sped up again but this time instead of dread, all you could feel was excitement rushing through your veins.
“…Oh,” you managed to say. “Why not?”
That made him fall quiet for a moment, his gaze slipping down to your lips before it snapped up to your eyes again. You couldn’t help but notice his throat bobbed nervously, and he took a deep breath as if he was trying to gather up courage.
Which was insane.
You had seen him throw himself in danger over and over again without so much as a second of hesitation.
“Because,” he started, his voice soft, “Birdie, I—”
“Hello?” Kelsey’s voice carried out from the doorway, snapping both of you out of your daze. “Guys?”
You loved Kelsey but you could swear that the urge to scream at her was way too strong.
Bucky closed his eyes for a moment as if he shared the sentiment, then opened them again, his jaw tightening. You sat up straighter and raised your hand from beside the desk.
“Over here, Kels.”
“What the fuck are you two doing on the floor?” Kelsey asked as she made her way to you and you exchanged glances, then turned to her.
“I…we—uh—”
“I think better when I’m sitting on the floor,” Bucky cut you off and Kelsey tilted her head.
“What?”
“Yeah, it’s a habit from the 1940s.”
Kelsey looked from him to you while Bucky stood up, then offered his hand for you to take it, a warmth spreading from your hand to your arm. You were still exhausted, but you looked up at him and mouthed ‘thank you’. Bucky squeezed your hand in an assuring manner, and you turned to Kelsey.
“Are we going home?”
“Sure, let’s.”
“Call me when you get home?” Bucky murmured and you nodded your head, giving him a small smile, then grabbed your purse off the desk and followed Kelsey out of the office.
“Please don’t tell me you two were having sex on the office floor.”
You let out a laugh, then shook your head.
“We were talking about his ex,” you said and cracked your neck, making a face. “And oh, before I forget, Caleb says we’ll have a barbeque at Bucky’s place this Saturday.”
“At Bucky’s place?” she asked. “All of us?”
“Mm hm, the whole team and I think Sam and Sarah will come too.”
Kelsey grinned at you.
“Just let me know if you happen to find yourself in his bedroom and need me to distract others,” she joked. “During the house tour, that is.”
You pushed at her arm gently.
“There’s gonna be people there,” you reminded her. “Lots of people. Hypothetically, even if Bucky liked me like that—”
“Did they raise you in a convent?”
“That would still be impossible,” you said as if she didn’t interrupt you. “Which by the way, he doesn’t.”
“Uh huh.”
“I don’t even think he finds me hot, to be honest with you,” you said. “It’s like Hazel said. He entertains my crush, that’s it.”
Kelsey threw her head back.
“You are so oblivious,” she groaned. “This barbecue—”
“Will be just a barbecue,” you said. “Some PR thing, that’s it. I assure you.”

Gonna copy-paste what I put into the Dual Process Theory YouTube community post, just in case anyone is blissfully ignorant of what's been going on in the Disney community:
The National Indian Child Welfare Association is an organization working to protect indigenous children and families through education and advocacy on child welfare and kinship rights. The original Lilo & Stitch is very relevant to the ICWA as it shows a US government agent attempting to separate an indigenous woman from her child ward to put her into the care of the state, something that has happened and continues to happen to indigenous children. Nani's "Aloha 'Oe" scene was added as a way to parallel their situation with the colonization of Hawai'i; the original song was written by the last Queen of Hawai'i as the United States forced her to cede her ancestral lands to them, which they then proceeded to colonize and commercialize. Nani is unable to find a job due to the tourism business taking over her land and Lilo is objectified enough to mirror the behavior (taking photos of white tourists rather than white tourists taking photos of her) and gets removed from her traditional dance because of a rich white or white-passing bully.
Tumblr media
The original movie is subtle in its messaging but very clear if you know anything about Hawai'ian history, and the movie ending with 'ohana being kept and Nani being able to keep her sister, who she loves, because she now has a support system who can assist her in her own shortcomings is presented as a happy ending for everyone, and the ideal community that we should strive for.
The reboot, if you haven't seen it, has Nani (played by an actress whose mother is a Hawai'i realtor) literally look Lilo in the eye and tell her that 'ohana is a fantasy that can never be reality and that their parents abandoned them by dying. She AND the film see Lilo as a burden on her that is alleviated when she gives up custody and goes to the mainland for college. Why not have her go to a Hawai'ian college, or do classes online while staying with her sister? Because they didn't think about her actually caring for and loving her sister. They thought about how she should go pursue the generic American Dream, and this neurodivergent traumatized child should be passed off to someone else. They literally have an indigenous CPS agent tell her to do this. Her happy ending is giving up custody of her sister to a neighbor and going to a white-dominated university.
Even the non-indigenous characters get removed from the 'ohana, as Jumba is now solely evil and irredeemable and serves as the final antagonist instead of Gantu, which also provides the wonderful(/s) message that criminals cannot be redeemed and government agents are never wrong. The reboot looks at you and tells you that family means nothing and indigenous people should give up their children and culture and assimilate. The director literally said in an interview, "Some people get left behind."
All this to say, we're definitely donating to the NICWA today. They fight to protect the Indian Child Welfare Act that prevents indigenous children from being kidnapped away from their cultures and assist indigenous families in protecting and caring for each other.
Nobody gets left behind.
Happy Stitch Day, everyone donate to the NICWA out of apology that we let the reboot gain any kind of traction

This is not a cry for help (but it might be) PART SIX
WC: 3k CW: Drinking ish? Notes: LOL what is up everyone. Plz send live reacts cause they're always so funny for this fic. Anywayssss enjoy. progress but slow. P is me.
Paige didn’t even mean to wake up early.
Actually, she was planning to sleep in. Like, full on cocoon in the blankets, hide-from-life, pretend-last-night-wasn’t-real kind of sleep. That was the dream. That was the move.
But of course her body was like nope! You’re a fun little ball of stress so enjoy waking up at 7:12 AM on a summer morning like a psychopath.
So now she’s awake.
And Azzi’s still asleep, which is probably a sign that the universe hates her. Because Paige is lying there, eyes open, staring at the ceiling and trying not to think about how close Azzi’s face is and how her hand is still sort of half on Paige’s waist like it lives there now.
She carefully (very carefully) gets out of bed.
Azzi shifts a little, but doesn’t wake up, which honestly feels unfair. Paige’s heart is still going dumb in her chest. Like she didn’t just wake up from the most ridiculous, intense fever dream ever. Like she didn’t fall asleep feeling… whatever that was.
Anyway.
Downstairs.
Katie is already there. Already dressed, already moving around the kitchen like a sitcom mom, flipping bacon and humming something that sounds suspiciously like one of those country songs Paife doesn’t really like.
“Morning,” she says, all bright-eyed and unbothered. Like it’s normal to have this much energy before 8 a.m.
“Morning,” Paige croaks, voice hoarse and slightly guilty sounding.
Katie smiles. “Hungry?”
Paige scratches her head. She’s still in her Azzi’s T shirt and whatever shorts she pulled on before leaving the room. Her hair’s a mess. She’s blinking like a mole seeing daylight.
“I mean… I guess,” she says. “Like… I could be?.”
Katie raises an eyebrow. “That sounds like a ‘no, but I know I should say yes so you’ll stop asking’ kind of answer.”
Paige flops into a kitchen chair. “Wow, you’re good.”
“I’m all knowing,” Katie says. “It’s a skill set.”
Paige rests her forehead against the table dramatically. “Can I get a pass for today? I had a long night.”
Katie snorts. “You’re fifteen. Your definition of ‘long night’ is probably giggling under the covers and watching TikToks.”
“Yup,” Paige says, because absolutely not. “That’s exactly what I was doing.”
Katie plates eggs and bacon like she’s feeding an army. Or a teen athlete. Which… yeah, okay.
She sets it in front of Paige and pours a glass of orange juice like the food police.
Paige stares at the plate. It smells good. It’s too good. “I usually skip breakfast,” she says, almost apologetic.
Katie’s already flipping the next round of eggs. “Not in this house.”
“That’s aggressive.”
Katie points a spatula at her without even turning. “So is hypoglycemia.”
Paige raises her hands. “Okay, okay. Geez. It’s like I’m in detention.”
“You’re in a kitchen.”
“Same thing,” Paige mutters, stabbing at an egg. “One just has better lighting.”
Katie smiles at her over her shoulder. “Eat, Paige.”
So she eats.
She eats because saying no would feel rude, and because it actually tastes kind of amazing, and because even though she doesn’t want to admit it, she’s starving.
They sit in this quiet kitchen rhythm for a while. The house is still. The sun’s barely up. There’s birds outside and whatever else people say when they’re in the woods and pretending life’s not complicated.
Paige kind of likes it.
Which is annoying.
Katie glances over at her as she refills the coffee pot. “You sleep okay?”
Paige shrugs, chewing bacon. “Define okay.”
Katie doesn’t push it. She just hums and hands her another slice of toast like Paige is a project she’s already committed to finishing.
Paige eats that too. Because whatever. She’s here now.
“You’re wild,” Paige says eventually, gesturing with her fork.
Katie gives her a look. “Because I fed you?”
“Yes.”
“Then I guess that’s ok.”
Paige hides her smirk behind her juice glass.
She doesn’t say thanks.
But she eats every bite.
Okay. Here’s the thing.
Paige Bueckers has a long-standing, private, and very justified vendetta against swimming.
It’s not that she can’t swim. She can. She learned when she was five, thank you very much, in a chlorinated YMCA pool that reeked of bleach and childhood trauma. But she just doesn’t like it. Never has.
Maybe it’s the way her hair sticks to her neck. Maybe it’s the stupid way swimsuits always feel too tight or too loose, but never actually right. Maybe it’s the water. Or the sun. Or the entire concept of recreational wetness.
Point is—Paige is not a swimmer. She’s a hooper. She belongs on the court, not floating around like a dumb leaf in a lake full of fish poop.
But here she is.
In a lake.
With Azzi.
And Azzi’s brothers, who have been cannonballing off the dock for the last twenty minutes like they’re trying to flood the whole state.
And Azzi. Let’s talk about Azzi for a second.
Because Azzi is in a bikini. A purple one.
And it should be illegal.
Like genuinely, someone should call the authorities. Because Paige is trying her best to survive this absolutely blinding amount of hotness while treading water and pretending she’s not seconds away from drowning in feelings.
Azzi’s laughing and splashing her brothers and then wiping water off her face like she’s in a slow-mo summer movie scene, and Paige has never felt more like a soggy rat in comparison.
Her sunblock is already failing. Her legs are too pale. Her hair feels gross. And she’s fairly certain there’s a piece of seaweed stuck to her ankle.
“Why are you standing like that?” Azzi calls, chest-deep in the water, grinning like a demon.
“Standing like what?” Paige shouts back.
“Like you hate this!”
“I do hate this!”
Azzi just laughs. Tosses her hair back and floats on her back like the most graceful human to ever exist.
“Come here,” she says.
“No.”
“Come here,” Azzi says again, voice playful but threatening.
Paige swims over like a loser.
They float near each other, and Azzi bumps her foot against Paige’s under the water, which is so casual and also not casual at all.
Azzi’s brothers are still yelling about something. Probably who cheated in their splash war or who’s banned from holding the pool noodle. Paige has tuned them out.
Azzi leans in a little. “I’m hungry.”
Paige squints. “We literally ate like two hours ago.”
“I know,” Azzi says, dead serious. “But I’m still hungry.”
“You’re crazy.”
“Come get snacks with me.”
“No,” Paige says immediately. “We’re wet."
Azzi tilts her head. “So?”
“So the inside is are dry and I’m not about to walk inside like a wet sandwich.”
Azzi raises her eyebrows. “Wow. You’re dramatic.”
“I’m realistic,” Paige says, treading water like she’s on trial. “Also this lake is cursed. My foot touched something and I saw my life flash before my eyes.”
Azzi is so not listening. She’s already swimming toward the ladder. She glances over her shoulder and calls out, “Paige.”
“What.”
“Come get snacks with me.”
And Paige groans because she can’t say no. She literally cannot. Even if Azzi didn’t just do the over-the-shoulder look like she was in a Disney Channel original movie, Paige would’ve followed her anyway.
“Fine,” she says, dragging herself out of the lake like a half-drowned cat.
Her swimsuit sticks in all the wrong places. Her hair drips straight down her back. Her foot crunches on the gravel and she knows her face is red from sun or blushing or both.
Azzi waits for her with a towel and that face. The one that says I know you’re annoyed and I’m enjoying every second of it.
Paige grabs the towel. “I hate you.”
“No, you don’t.”
“I hate swimming.”
“Fair.”
“I hate wet clothes.”
“Understandable.”
“I guess the snacks are alright though.”
Azzi grins. “Mhm. THat’s what I thought.”
They walk inside dripping water everywhere. Paige leaves footprints on the hardwood. Azzi heads straight for the kitchen, opens the fridge like she lives there (she does), and tosses Paige a juice pouch.
Paige catches it. “Are we five?”
“Yes,” Azzi says. “Now drink it.”
Paige does. Because it’s cold and fruity and actually slaps. She leans against the counter in her wet swimsuit, juice in hand, and side-eyes Azzi.
“You in that bikini is actually a hate crime.”
Azzi looks over her shoulder, deadpan. “File a report.”
Paige takes another sip. She’s not even sure if her heart rate is from swimming or Azzi anymore.
Probably Azzi.
Definitely Azzi.
The thing about sunburns is that they don’t hit all at once.
No, they sneak up on you. They let you float around in your false sense of “maybe I actually tan now” security. Let you feel like maybe this time will be different.
And then they burn you alive.
Paige feels it first when she’s drying off after her shower. That tight, itchy stretch across her shoulders. Her arms feel like they’ve been microwaved. Her nose is pink. Her neck’s mad at her. Her face is just straight-up betrayal.
Honestly, it’s deserved. Paige vs. The Sun has been an ugly rivalry since birth.
Azzi had already passed out the second they got back from the lake, full-on snuggled into her pillow like she didn’t just look illegal in a bikini all day. Paige wanted to say something dumb to her before crashing, but it didn’t happen. Azzi was too cozy, too asleep. So Paige just showered, changed into her comfiest oversized tee, and tiptoed her way downstairs in search of cold water and peace.
She’s halfway through grabbing a glass when Katie rounds the corner like she’s been waiting.
“Oh honey,” she says.
Paige freezes. “What?”
Katie points at her shoulder. “You’re toasted.”
“I’m fine.”
Katie gives her a look that says absolutely not, try again.
Paige sighs. “It’s not that bad.”
“Paige. You’re medium-well at least. Come sit.”
Paige shifts uncomfortably. She tugs her shirt down like that’ll help.
Katie already has the aloe out. Like she was born with it in her pocket or summoned it from the mom void. Paige considers arguing again, but honestly she hurts and standing sucks and she’s tired.
So she sighs and sits.
“I’m not taking off my whole shirt,” she says quickly.
Katie sits beside her with the aloe. “You’ve got a bra on, right?”
“Yeah, but—”
“Then it’s fine. I saw you in a swimsuit three hours ago. I just want to put some aloe on it, okay?”
That somehow doesn’t make Paige feel better, but she pulls off her shirt anyway, wincing as the fabric tugs against her shoulder blades. She keeps her arms tight to her sides. Feels very aware of everything.
Katie is gentle. Like annoyingly so.
The aloe is cold, but it’s a relief. And Katie doesn’t say anything at first—just rubs the gel in careful, slow circles over the worst spots. It stings a little, but Paige isn’t gonna whine about it. She already feels weird enough.
She stares at the kitchen tile and pretends it’s not vulnerable or whatever.
She’s mid-thought when her phone buzzes on the counter.
It’s her dad.
Of course it is.
Paige flinches without meaning to. Her whole body goes still.
Katie pauses. “You good?”
“Yeah,” Paige says automatically, grabbing her phone. “I’ll—uh—I’m just gonna take this outside.”
Katie nods once, already back to capping the aloe. Paige pulls her shirt back on, not meeting her eyes, and practically escapes to the porch like the house is gonna explode.
The swing creaks when she sits.
“Hey,” she says into the phone.
“Paigeeeyyy,” her dad says.
And that’s… not great.
He’s slurring a little. Talking fast and slow at the same time. His words loop, like maybe he’s trying to sound casual but forgot what sentence he started three words ago.
She knows this version of him.
It’s not even the worst one. Just the one that makes her stomach twist.
“You home yet?” he asks.
“Yeah,” she says, looking at the trees. “Been home. Then came up here. Remember?”
“I miss you.”
That makes her blink. “Okay.”
“Tell Drew I love him,” he adds suddenly, like it popped into his brain mid-rant.
“You could tell him yourself,” Paige says. “He’s with you.”
But her dad’s already moved on. He’s rambling about the lake cabin they used to rent when she was little. About her mom, randomly. About how this whole thing with “her”, which means his wife, or ex-wife, or enemy number one, or whatever, “isn’t fair.”
Paige goes quiet.
She just sits there, half-listening, half-fading out, watching the trees move in the breeze. They’re green and soft and kind of blurry. It should be nice.
It’s not.
Eventually her dad says, “Alright. I’m gonna go, kid. Love you.”
Paige doesn’t answer right away.
“Paige?”
“Yeah. Love you too,” she says, and it sounds fake even to her.
He hangs up.
She sits still for a while. The porch swing creaks again. Her chest feels too full. Her throat feels too tight. She doesn’t cry, but it’s close.
Then the door creaks open and Katie steps out.
She’s got a glass of water and that look. The one that says I’m not gonna make you talk, but I’m here if you want to.
Paige wipes at her nose even though it didn’t run. Just to feel something.
Katie hands her the glass.
“Thanks.”
“You okay?”
“Why does everyone keep asking me that?” Paige snaps.
Katie just sits next to her. Doesn’t flinch. Doesn’t lecture.
They sit in silence for a bit. Paige sips her water. The woods are still moving.
She says it before she even decides to say it.
“My dad’s not doing great.”
Katie glances over.
“And I mean like, not great. Like spiraling and weird phone calls and barely holding it together and I think maybe drinking again but I’m not sure and I don’t wanna accuse him of stuff but also I’m not a little kid.”
Katie doesn’t interrupt. Doesn’t react.
“And it’s been loud at home. Like… bad loud. And I know I’m lucky to not be there but my little brother is there, and I don’t know how to help. And I feel bad being here. But also I don’t want to be there. Like, at all. So I feel double bad. And also I think I might like girls. Which is… not related but still a problem. I guess. I don’t know.”
She laughs, short and sharp and hollow.
Katie just hums. “That’s a lot, kiddo.”
Paige leans back against the swing. “Tell me about it.”
“I’m glad you told me.”
Paige shrugs. “You kinda Jedi mind-tricked me into it.”
Katie smiles. “I have secret mind control powers. It’s a thing.”
Paige looks at her. “I thought Azzi made that up.”
Katie shrugs. “She did. But I like it.”
They sit there until Paige finishes her water. The sun’s going down now.
Katie stands up eventually and ruffles Paige’s hair before she heads back inside.
Paige leans back, watching the trees some more.
And for once, everything’s kind of quiet.
The room is quiet when she comes back upstairs.
Azzi’s still in bed, curled toward the window, blanket all bunched up under her chin like she didn’t just spend the afternoon being hot and chaotic and bikini-evil. Paige stands there for a second in the dark, watching her breathe, trying not to think about the porch swing or the phone call or how her whole body feels like it’s made of too much.
Her sunburn still stings. Her throat’s tight again, which is fantastic. She’s tired but not tired. You know?
She climbs into bed gently. Like quietly-lower-yourself-gently, blanket-tug-silent-exhale kind of gentle.
Azzi stirs the second the mattress shifts.
Like of course she does.
Paige freezes. “Sorry,” she whispers. “Go back to sleep.”
But Azzi already reaches out, eyes still half closed. “You’re back,” she murmurs, and she’s already moving closer, sliding an arm around Paige like it’s nothing. Like it’s the most natural thing in the world.
Paige flinches. Just barely. But it’s enough.
Azzi’s hand brushes her shoulder and Paige hisses.
“Ow—sorry—”
Azzi pulls back immediately, blinking awake now. “Shit—sorry babe—”
Babe.
Babe?
And then she kisses Paige’s shoulder. The unburnt part. Soft. Just once.
And Paige’s whole brain short circuits.
Because what the hell. Who does that? Who says that? Who kisses people so gently they actually feel like crying?
It’s not like a big kiss. It’s not flirty. It’s not anything but real.
And Paige is… she doesn’t do that. She’s sarcastic and annoying and full of noise. She doesn’t just…get touched like this.
“You alright?” Azzi whispers.
And it’s a real question. Not one of the dumb ones like everyone keeps asking. It’s not like you okay? like a formality. It’s soft. It’s asking in a different way. Like Azzi can feel something on her.
Paige blinks up at the ceiling and does not cry. She doesn’t. But her eyes sting a little, and she breathes weird for a second.
“I’m fine,” she says.
Azzi doesn’t believe her. Obviously.
“Your back’s okay?”
“Yeah.”
Azzi hums. Her hands trail lightly across Paige’s back, carefully avoiding every place that might sting. She doesn’t press. Just lets her fingers move slow and steady, like she’s tracing Paige’s heartbeat through her spine.
Paige exhales into the pillow. Her whole body starts to un-tense. Not all the way. But some.
She doesn’t say thank you. She doesn’t say anything at all for a while.
Azzi just holds her.
One hand on Paige’s waist. One hand moving in lazy shapes on her back. Her forehead pressed against Paige’s shoulder like she belongs there.
And Paige? Paige stays really still. Because if she moves, she might cry. Or scream. Or say something stupid like I needed this more than oxygen tonight.
And like, she knows it’s dumb. It’s just Azzi. She’s just being nice. But it feels like something more. It feels like..
Like like?
Being in-like?
Paige’s chest doesn’t hurt as much now. And her skin still burns, but a different kind of burn, the kind that’s actually kind of okay.

Jimmy Broadbent in the Road to Succes Podcast, about Max participating in The Race for Mental Health
"We know Max is literally all about the racing and he puts racing in front of everything but he actually participated in an event that meant a lot to you. How did that happen?"
"We run an event called The Race for Mental Health and I think we had our sixth year of it last year and the whole idea is to raise money for MIND, the mental health charity. Because, as I've spoken about today, I had my own challenges for a while and a lot of people do. And I think a lot of people don't talk about them. So it's a good thing, maybe a little instigator for people to realise that: yeah, it's okay to talk about these things. And, not the race that just went but the year before, Max basically stealth entered with his team. We had no idea he was coming until I was on the circuit and saw: Max Verstappen. Oh! And he was in the car that I knew he would drive. It was with his team, basically. And he came in, donated a ton of money and raced, had fun and then left.
*whisper* "How much money did he donate, Jimmy?"
"Well, I mean, like… I think it's been in the five figures he's donated each time, something like that. And then this year, I sent a message. I said: do you mind if I-- I know you're doing it. Do you mind if I say you're doing it? Because it's gonna help bring people in and like, I wouldn't usually-- I think it must be so tough having such a profile that you can't just turn up and do something you wanna do. So I thought: I'll give you the option, I'm not gonna do it without your permission. He said yes. Which is good for us so we could advertise the event more and it turned out to be our biggest event in terms of money we'd ever raised. I think it was just shy of a 100k we raised. And again, Max donated over 10k, I think, for the penalty system. He took part in it, was a good sport. I mean… He's just a guy who loves racing."

nika muhl with a moody temperamental fem who likes to press her every nerve until she cracks and gets mean in a kinky type of way
Trigger Point
Nika Muhl x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
MASTERLIST | MORE
Summary: You’re a moody piece of work—sharp-tongued, pouty when you don’t get your way, and always poking at Nika just to see how long it takes her to snap.
Word Count: ~ 1.7k
Warnings: SMUT. Emotional manipulation, dom!Nika, bratty/submissive reader, rough smut, choking, degradation, possessive behavior.
Genre: Smut, Angst, Power Play, Emotional Tension
Tumblr media
It started with the gum. You knew better than to chew it like that around her—open-mouthed, loud, obnoxious—but something in you enjoyed the way Nika’s eye twitched every time your jaw popped. Sitting across from her in the UConn locker room, legs spread, head tilted like you were innocent, you chewed slow and wide and grinned when her knee bounced faster.
“You good?” you asked, blowing a bubble and letting it snap.
She glared, tying her shoe like it personally offended her. “Fine.”
“You sure? You’re kinda moving like you got beef with the air.”
Nika didn’t answer, but her jaw clenched. You could see it, just under the skin. She looked real pretty like that—angry and pretending she wasn’t. Tall. Mean without trying. You loved pushing her. You didn’t know why y’all were dating, but you’d die before changing a damn thing about the chaos.
She’d been patient this week. Too patient. Letting you get away with little things. You’d “forgotten” to answer her texts. You’d rolled your eyes when she corrected your layup form. You’d flirted, blatantly, with some blonde from the dining hall—short, loud, didn’t even hoop. Not your type in the slightest.
But Nika didn’t say shit. Not then. She’d just watched. Waited. Let it build like steam under the surface. Today, though, you had plans.
You leaned against her locker after practice, towel hanging around your neck. Your sports bra clung tight. She walked out of the shower, hair wet, fresh-faced, and fuming for no reason—until she saw you.
“You’re in my way,” she muttered.
You smiled sweetly. “What’s the Croatian word for please again?”
Her eyes narrowed. “Makni se.”
(Move.)
“Mmm,” you hummed. “That’s not ‘please.’ That’s not even polite.”
“I wasn’t trying to be polite.”
You raised your brows. “Damn. You always this rude after a rinse?”
“Only when I come out and see you.”
“Ouuu.” You laughed, stepping aside like it was your idea. “You missed me, huh?”
She yanked her towel off the hook and ignored you. You could see it again—her jaw. Her clenched fists. Her patience stretching thin.
“So…” you said slowly, like you weren’t about to drop a grenade. “Are you gonna be mad if I say I think I’m gonna go to that party Friday?”
She looked up, stiff. “The one I told you not to go to?”
You tilted your head. “I don’t remember that. When did you say that?”
“Two days ago.”
“Oh. My bad.” You smiled again, too wide. “I don’t be listening when you talk like that.”
Her silence was deadly. You weren’t done.
You walked around her slowly, brushing your fingers along her arm, knowing damn well what it did to her. “You know I saw that girl again today. From the dining hall.”
Nika closed her locker slowly. “What girl.”
“The blonde. The one with the…” You waved vaguely. “You know. The voice. And the eyeliner.”
Nika’s nostrils flared. “I told you she was thirsty. Why the hell are you still talking to her?”
You shrugged. “She funny. And kinda sweet, actually. She offered me a cookie…coconut.”
“You allergic to coconut.”
“I didn’t eat it. I just smiled.”
She stared at you like she wanted to throw something. “Prestani se zajebavati sa mnom.”
(Stop fucking with me.)
You blinked like you didn’t understand. “Huh? Say it again slow. It sounded cute.”
Her voice was low and warning now. “Ne igraj se sa mnom danas. Ozbiljno.”
(Don’t play with me today. Seriously.)
But your smile sharpened. “I like when you speak Croatian. It makes you sound even meaner.”
You saw the shift in her face—the twitch in her cheek, the bite she was holding back. You were winding her up on purpose. Fact-checking her. Talking back. Refusing to listen. Teasing. And now this—speaking her native tongue like a weapon.
“You’re in a mood,” she muttered.
You leaned in close, lips almost touching her ear. “Maybe I am. Or maybe I just like seeing you like this. All tense and angry and holding back.”
She stepped away from you, hand clenching the towel hard.
“Nika,” you cooed. “You look like you wanna hit something.”
Her voice dropped. “You’re lucky I don’t.”
“You wouldn’t,” you smirked, licking your bottom lip slowly. “You love me.”
She didn’t say anything. Just stared. And for the first time all week, you saw it—her breaking point. Not soft. Not sweet. Not even loving.
Mean. Just like you wanted. She was getting there.

⚠️IVE NEVER WRITTEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS!! WORK WITH ME!!⚠️
Tumblr media
I knew she’d seen the post the second I stepped into our dorm. The energy was different—thick, sour, electric. Like static before a storm. I got in late, same as always, and played it off like I didn’t feel her tension humming through the walls.
I took my sweet time peeling off my jacket, kicking my shoes off like I hadn’t just posted a picture in a cropped tank and barely-there boy shorts with the caption, “Should’ve come over when I asked.”
Nothing technically wrong. But enough. Enough to look single. Enough to piss Nika off.
I was under the blanket, pretending to scroll like I hadn’t done it on purpose. Like I wasn’t still in the mood to play. But when the door clicked open and I heard her drop her keys with a deliberate thud, something in my chest stuttered.
She didn’t say a word. Not “hey,” not “you up,” not even a passive-aggressive comment. Just silence. Ominous and way too calm.
Then her shadow fell across the room. I kept my eyes down, suddenly too aware of how short my sleep shorts were. She walked straight past me, reached down, grabbed my phone off the charger, and—
Clack. Tossed it to the floor.
My mouth opened. “What the fu—” She didn’t let me finish.
A sharp tug and I was yanked straight out of bed, blanket and attitude left behind as my knees scrambled for balance on the cold tile. Her hand wrapped firm around my wrist. She didn’t look at me. Didn’t need to.
I pushed her too far. And still—my heart was racing, thighs clenching, stomach fluttering like I was scared. But not enough to regret it.
“Nik—” I tried, half-laughing, half-bracing for her to pop off. But her voice cut through me like a blade.
“Shut up. I mean not a fucking word.”
My mouth snapped shut before I could blink. Something about the way she said it—flat, deep, that dangerous Croatian tone—knocked all the smartass out of me in one breath.
I didn’t even try to pull away when she dragged me by the wrist across the dorm and into her room, slamming the door behind us.
Maybe I thought I could still be cute about it. Maybe I thought she’d pin me, roll her eyes, threaten to break up with me again for the tenth time this month.
But nah. She didn’t speak.
She didn’t even look at me when she moved to her closet, yanked her old beat-up UConn hoodie off the top shelf, and pulled a belt down from the hook inside.
And that’s when my body went still. Like…oh.
She sat down on the edge of her bed, legs open just enough, and pulled me in again by the hips. I let her. Still acting dumb. Still not believing it. Still smiling, even as she pulled me over her lap like I was a toy.
But then I felt the belt.
She looped it around both my wrists, cool and slow, tugging it tight behind my back. She didn’t even say a word while she did it. Just wrapped, pulled, and fastened it. My hands were locked. Her grip was firm. My brain? Empty.
“Nika,” I whispered, suddenly breathless. “Wait—what are you—”
“I told you not to post that shit.”
Her voice was so calm I wanted to scream.
Not loud. Not shouting. Just disappointment mixed with possessive fury. The type of fury that simmers instead of explodes. That burns.
“You live in this dorm with me,” she said, her hand running up the back of my thigh. “You wear my clothes. Sleep in my bed. Then you get online and act single?”
“I didn’t mean—”
“Don’t lie. Not tonight.”
I stopped breathing when I felt her fingers trace the seam of my shorts, lifting the fabric to expose more skin. Her thumb dragged over the curve of my ass like she was planning out a map of pain.
“You like attention so much,” she murmured, nails dragging sharp down my thigh. “We’ll give you some. Maybe you’ll learn something.”
And then—SMACK. My body jerked forward. The belt didn’t budge.
My head dropped forward with a sharp gasp. “Nika—shit—”
She tilted her head, lips brushing the shell of my ear. “Count.”
“Wh—what?”
SMACK. “I said count.”
“O-one.”
She hummed like that was acceptable. Not pleased. Not gentle. Just not disappointed for a second.
SMACK. “Two—fuck, babe—”
“I’m not your babe right now. I’m the bitch that’s gonna fix your attitude.” That’s when I really stopped smiling.
Because her hand wasn’t letting up. Her rhythm was slow, spaced out. Just enough time to breathe between each slap—never enough to recover. And with my hands tied, I couldn’t even pretend to be in control. My body twitched against her lap, skin stinging, core throbbing with each hit. And she knew. Of course she knew.
By the time she got to six, I was panting, forehead resting against her knee. Then she stopped.
I blinked. My chest still heaving. She rubbed her hand slowly over the welts blooming across my skin, soothing like she was proud of her work. Her other hand reached up to grip my jaw and force my face up to hers.
“Look at me.” I did. Of course I did. I’d never not look at her.
Her brown eyes were darker than usual. All that rage, all that repressed athlete fury—it was there, simmering under the surface, but channeled now. Controlled. Sexy as hell.
“You wanted to play games?” she said quietly. “You wanted this, right?” My lips parted. But no sound came out. She gripped my jaw tighter.
“Answer me.”
“Yes,” I breathed.
“Good.” She let go, let my head fall back down. “Then take it. And if I hear one more smartass thing come out of your mouth before I say you can speak again, I’ll gag you and double the count. Understood?”
I nodded, dazed. Sore. Dripping. This wasn’t a fight. This was a warning. A lesson. A blueprint. Baby, I was only on lesson one.

YOU AND ME
Damian Wayne x Constantine! Reader
A/N: Previous. Next. Damian and reader go on a date!!! That's all that happens, I swear! w.c: 1.8k
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You bow with the rest of the performers on stage as the crowd gives one last show of appreciation. When the curtains fall, you very stealthily scamper towards the dressing rooms, not before catching the sly wink Zatanna throws your way.
Maybe you weren’t being that stealthy.
The door to your dressing room clicks shut and you eye yourself in the vanity mirror, only then realising how nervous the girl in the mirror looks. There’s a lot that can go wrong today and a lot you really want to go right. You fix yourself with a look of determination.
With a little twirl and a poof of smoke, your magicians outfit is swapped with the outfit you spent a rather embarrassing amount of time picking out. Before you can fuss anymore over your reflection, there’s a knock on the door.
That was fast, at least you’re not the only eager one. You take a quick, deep breath before opening the door.
Damian Wayne stands in the doorway, he takes you in while you take him in. He’s dressed much less fancy than the last time you saw him, bomber jacket with a simple but probably unnecessarily expensive t-shirt and loose jeans.
“Are you ready?” You ask, unable to fully hide your excitement. You see just the smidgen of a smile on his face as he answers rather seriously,
“I’m always ready for anything.”
“Ooh, Don’t challenge me, Wayne.”
You pull him into the room and shut the door. After knocking three times on said door, you give him a grin.
“You let me plan this whole thing, remember.”
You open the door and step through into an entirely different place. Damian’s sneakers touch cobblestone road and he squints in the sudden sunlight. He thinks he knows already, given the wide bustling streets and the architecture of the buildings around him, but he asks anyway,
“Where are we?”
You’re all too happy to tell him, winding an arm around his and leading him in a seemingly random direction.
“Turin, Italy. I did a mission here a while ago. That’s what we’re going to see first by the way, some good old spooky occult shit, this city has tons of it.”
He lets you drag him to several such occult sights. He listens while you yap about the differences between demonic and non-demonic cathedrals, how to know if a crypt is cursed and which ghost sightings are obviously real and which are fake. He does it all with an attentive mind, almost like he’s reading a book he really likes and he's trying to burn it into his mind.
Once you're done showing him all the "cool shit", you proudly announce that you also planned some things he'd actually enjoy. He keeps the fact that he was enjoying himself the entire time to himself.
You take him to an art gallery, an archaeological museum and a natural history museum. You listen to him yap all about unconventional painting techniques, which period had the best samurai swords and which fun facts about prehistoric animals are actually true and which are completely wrong. You listen with the ear of someone who’s hearing their new favourite song for the first time.
─⋅⋆⁺.
“I get that, but when a magician asks you for your favourite animal and you say "Anaconda." You should at least be a little ready for her to pull out an anaconda! He almost soiled himself on stage!”
Damian huffs a laugh, easing back against the bench you two found that completely coincidentally (as far as he knows) has a perfect view of the sunset. You sit in easy silence, sharing a cup of caramel ice-cream. He looks more at ease than you’ve ever seen him before and an embarrassing amount of pride blooms in your chest at how well your date turned out to be.
You stare ahead at the horizon and wonder if he’s thinking the same thing you are, the thought sparks a bit of unease. Realising you haven’t said something stupid or irritating in a while, you decide now would be a good time to break the fast.
“Do you think the sunset will be this pretty on our wedding day?”
His lips nudge downwards, not quite a grimace but he eyes your smug grin with much annoyance. He sighs and takes another scoop of ice-cream with his little wooden spoon before saying,
“I hope so.”
The teasing grin disappears from your face, and all you can do is gaze ahead blankly. That’s not what he was supposed to say.
You clear your throat and take a bigger than necessary bite of ice-cream, racking your brain for what the hell to say next. After a few minutes you try again, teasing tone more forced than before.
“Do you think Alfred would walk me down the aisle?”
He doesn’t look at you this time, he just stares ahead at the pinkish-orange sky.
“I'm sure he would if you asked. So would my father. He would be glad that at least one of his sons can commit.”
You look ahead too, wishing you could see the view through his eyes instead.
“I'm sure he'd be proud.”
Damian doesn’t have to ask who you’re thinking about when you say that, so he doesn't.
“Would you invite…her?”
He tilts his head up, genuinely thinking through how that would play out despite how ridiculous this complete hypothetical is.
“I don’t know. I’d want to.”
You nod in understanding. Some things are just too complicated to work out in the end. A twinge of sadness settles before you feel the impulsive urge to turn to a lighter topic.
“Titus would make the perfect flower boy.”
He lets a smile slip onto his face, finally looking back at you. The sun leaves little specs of gold in his eyes and you find yourself openly staring (unbeknownst that he’s making the exact same observation). He takes the cup from your hands and places it beside you on the bench. Taking your hand in his, he leans closer and kisses you gently.
His other hand gently holds your cheek. When you part, he stays close. It feels just like those stupid cheesy movies, like a pretentious romance novel, like a sappy love song. But it feels good, good enough that you hold off on the snarky comment for just a few seconds more.
“You know you’d have to make Jon the best man, right?”
Damian groans, pulling back and closing his eyes, acting as if that's actually something he'll have to do. You laugh and lay your head on his shoulder.
“C’mon, He’d be devastated if you didn’t.”
Damian puts his arm around you, keeping you close.
“Maybe I’ll just lie and tell him Arab weddings don’t have a best man.”
You let out a snort,
“Good luck with that.”
You stay like that until the sun sinks behind the distant mountains, replaced by the orange glow of street lamps. Eventually, you stand from the bench, clearing your throat a bit.
“I know I’ve kept you all day, but do you want to grab dinner?”
He stands from the bench as well, throwing away the little ice-cream cup before casually lacing your hands together.
“Anything for my future wife.”
Your heart almost stops. Your brain stammers and so do your words.
“Don’t- Don’t say that.”
“Say what, beloved?”
He asks, looking down at you with a smirk. You very much do not like being on the other side of this dynamic at all. And you know he knows that, he might just be able to feel the heat from your face!
“Stop that-”
Before you can finish, the world stops, literally. Everything slows to a halt. Crickets stop chirping, the breeze stops blowing, all commotion on the street is silenced. Even Damian is suspended in animation just like everything else. Everything except you and-
You’re looking around already, knowing exactly what this is. He used to do this when you were being belligerent on missions. He'd just stop the entire world to yell at you for being a dumb kid, even if he could only do it for a few precious seconds. Nothing for months and he picks now?
You slide your hand out of Damian’s and step closer to where you can see the yellow portal forming.
“You really have bad fucking timing.”
“Language.”
John Constantine steps out of the portal, hands in the pockets of his coat, cigarette in his mouth.
“I need yer help.”
You couldn’t stop the eyeroll if you tried.
“Obviously.”
Why the hell else would he be here. He sighs and takes in his surroundings, looking anywhere but you.
“What are ya even doing here, sight seeing?”
You step back towards Damian and grab his hand, bringing him out of the time freeze. He looks around, taking in the situation with shocking calmness, his expression turns to understanding when he sees John.
“I'm on a date.”
John looks to you, then at Damian, then back to you. It takes him a minute to understand who Damian is and what that means. The cigarette falls out of his mouth as he sputters like an idiot.
“Yer fucking with me.”
“Language.”
He regains some composure when he notices the way you’re looking at him. As if he just remembered how you two left things. That you might actually not want to see him.
“Look, Love, I wouldn't ask if it wasn't an end of the world kind of thing.”
You feel Damian squeeze your hand a little, a reassuring act, an act of trust. There’s a deep understanding between you but with that comes a lot left unsaid. Left in the grey space of "We both understand this so there’s no need to discuss it really.” or is it that you want to talk about it but don’t know how. Being exceptionally gifted kids with exceptional, world-saving parents and bucket loads of trauma isn't something you just bring up casually.
But Damian understands obligation and responsibility. The need to do what’s necessary.
“Fine.”
John sighs, like he actually thought you wouldn’t say yes for a second. The thought brings you more spiteful pride than you’d like to admit.
“Come along then.”
He simply states, before disappearing into his little portal leaving it open for you to follow. Everything slowly returns to normal pace again, the bustle of the street returns as pedestrians keep on like nothing happened. Lucky bastards.
“I’ll call you…when I’m done.”
He nods his head. He’s taking this very well and you’re not sure how to feel about it. He's trying to be understanding, probably because he knows you'd do the exact same thing for him. You barely have to talk about why you have to go, what you have to do… but that doesn't mean you don't want to.
"Don't make me stitch you up again."
He brings you into a hug. You think briefly on how awkward a hug from Damian would have been just a month ago. The thought makes you smile as you burrow your face in his warm neck, breathing in his distinct scent. You open a magic door for him,
“This’ll take you home. To the manor.”
With that you give him one last long look before following your dad into his portal, going who knows where to face who knows what.

★ EPISODE 02. SLOTH
Tumblr media
SUMMARY. a certain producer has been bothering shinsou since before the set up with hanta—you’re urgently wanted in a video with UA bombshell todoroki shoto! how exciting and nervewracking; he’s only one of your biggest fantasies, right? oh, and it looks like it’s shower scene too . . will he live up to your expectations?
WARNINGS. 18+ content, mdni. fem! reader, shower sex, oral, unprotected sex, awkwardness. wc / 6.1k
▸ RETURN TO THE MAIN MENU!
Tumblr media
shinsou calls you when the sun is sinking below the horizon and its colors are bleeding through the sky in picturesque streaks. you’re standing in front of the window when you pick up your phone, body thoroughly relaxed since returning from a trip to a nearby spa. tokyo is still very new to you, but it was hanta who’d kindly given you the recommendation.
“hey. sero told me the shoot went well. is that accurate or is he pulling my leg?”
his voice crackles through the phone and you just laugh at the idea of hanta playfully messing with people. it suits him, and makes him all the more attractive.
the shoot did go well—actually, that’s an extremely mild way to put it. your debut shoot had gone much better than you could’ve expected it to; your co-star is just being modest. still, even hours later, you can feel him on your skin.
not the grip of his hands on your waist as he positioned you on his lap, nor the pleasant sting of his teeth grazing along your lip in the middle of a graceless kiss.
once the cameras had stopped rolling, hanta helped to sit you up so that you could be comfortable against the cushions. instead of collecting his clothing off the floor and getting dressed, he’d just walked butt-ass naked around the whole room to find a pack of baby wipes. he tore them open and sank to his knees in front of you, as if to worship. gently, without haste, he began to clean the mess away from your inner thighs and pelvis.
when you flinched from the coolness of the wipe, he only ran his fingers along the curve of your hip and apologized, reminding you to stay still nonetheless. in comparison to the shoot, it was soft. entirely genuine and completely caring.
and it surprised you more than you expected it to. such a simple act of respect and compassion, and yet it’s all you can feel hours later. oh, and he was close—so close that you could see the light freckles scattered across the bridge of his nose.
“he’s just being modest,” you’re trying to think of a way to explain that you really liked hanta without divulging too much about the shoot. if he wants details, he can watch the video when it’s uploaded to UA’s website. “we actually connected right off the bat. he really helped me to get past my nerves, and it was a perfect introduction to UA.”
shinsou hums thoughtfully, “i’m happy to hear that. since i’m still in my office, do you want me to add him to your yes list? if you’re still thinking about it, i suppose i can do it another—”
you don’t mean to cut him off, but you do. filming with hanta in the future? where can you sign up? “yeah, put his name down. thanks, shinsou.”
the clacking of a keyboard makes itself heard on his end as he adds hanta to the list.
“oh, i’ve gotta ask. are you up for a shoot the day after tomorrow? i know it’s kind of fast to be scheduling you, but there’s a producer that wants you in a video. he’s been asking since before i scheduled you with sero.”
“do you have any details on it? or should i just show up and find out?”
“never do that,” shinsou chuckles, checking his inbox on his work computer. it doesn’t take long for him to find the email he’s looking for. “producer wants to pair you with todoroki shoto. the set isn’t at the studio, like it was today. you’d be filming at a condo in koto-ku.”
it isn’t very far from your apartment or UA studios, but the detail about the off-studio set isn’t what catches your attention. it’s the name of your potential co-star, todoroki shoto. you know him as well as any thirsty fan does. he’s a fucking knockout, and you’ve always wanted to meet him in person. even just meeting him at an adult trade show and shaking his hand would give you enough masturbation material for an entire year!
you try to keep the earnest excitement out of your voice by reminding yourself that this is a professional phone call with your manager about your job, not an invitation to join love island.
“sounds good. send me the details once you have them and i’ll do it.”
.  .  .
you’re so keyed up you nearly scrape the side of someone’s car when you’re parking at the condominium. in all fairness, you’re filming with the todoroki shoto! UA’s pretty boy and easily the catch of the century—how could anyone even act normal about this?
luckily, you have some time to gather yourself when you’re ascending the stairs. shinsou forwarded you the information he’d received from the producer, and the cringe of what you’d be filming didn’t bother you one bit. the provided information about the loosely scripted, caught in the shower scene absolutely did not register in your mind. all that stood out to you in the email was shower sex and todoroki shoto—the only things of importance in the block of text.
this must be some sort of divine intervention.
someone upstairs must’ve witnessed your struggles and experiences at shiketsu, and decided to pay you back with interest. all of that workplace bullshit, those lousy fucks—maybe all of that was worth it, if this is what you get in return. an invitation to be at the top, a decent manager, and some hot co-stars. could this even be classified as working anymore? this feels more like living a dream shared by thousands of people, all of which would kill to have this chance.
according to shinsou’s directions, you’re right where you need to be. you knock on the door and quickly step back, practically vibrating with anticipation. what if your co-star has been practicing positions in the shower and answers the door shirtless? you’re drooling at the thought!
the door swings open, and less than a second later, you’re standing face to face with a middle-aged man. he offers you a friendly smile and extends a hand, skin visibly wet.
“you got here just in time! we’ve been working to prep the set, but it’ll take a little while before we get to filming. one of our mics got wet, so two of the guys are out getting another from the studio.”
part of you deflates a little inside, but your hopes were just too high. in fact, the director answering the door only adds to the amount of butterflies in your belly—the wait means that everything will be made absolutely worth it. he lets you in, and you follow him to the set while he goes on about where you can set your purse down during filming and how the kitchen fridge is actually full of food and drink. apparently, the producer personally owns this condo for filming and uses it regularly, only ever swapping out the talent. you’re way more focused on when you’ll be meeting your co-star and how well you’ll mesh together, but you still nod or say something periodically so he knows you’re somewhat listening.
at long last, your prayers are answered.
todoroki shoto stands in the middle of the bathroom, wearing more clothing than he needs to. he’s holding onto an old shower curtain, expression blank, but then his eyes land on you and his lips press into a small, almost imperceptible smile.
and, bless his heart, he waves. “hi. nice to meet you.”
you manage to control the impulse to scream and say that you’ve been dying to meet him, schooling your pounding heart into submission. so, to match him, you wave back. “hey. are you replacing the shower curtain?”
“yes. it seemed pretty dirty.”
without elaborating, shoto folds it up and slips past you, out of the bathroom. the director is fiddling with a camera to make sure it’s still on when he glances over at you, feeling the need to assure you.
“he doesn’t talk much. it’s nothing personal, he’s just really quiet.”
“i thought that was the case,” you set your purse down on the counter, pushing it far away from the sink. “i don’t really mind. i’ve filmed some stuff with quiet co-stars, it’s no big deal.”
who the hell cares if he’s quiet right now? you’ll be able to draw him out of his shell once you’re both stripped naked and the camera’s rolling.
you can hear commotion and the opening of a door. the director steps back, clapping his hands. “okay, the boys are back. you can help yourself to the fridge while we get this set up, and then we’ll be ready to start rolling.”
.  .  .
“go ahead and turn around so that your back is facing us. yes, there you go. once we’re recording, you’ll strip, get in, all that business. todoroki, you went through the notes? you know when you’re supposed to step in, yes?”
your co-star nods, the packet of notes on the shoot in his hand. his face remains neutral despite all of the conversation filling the room, and he’s looking at the freshly replaced shower curtain—or maybe he’s looking at you. the director says something, gesturing to the camera mounted on the shower wall, but you’re too caught up in following the direction of shoto’s gaze to register what’s said until your name is said.
“everybody good to go?” the director looks around the room, making sure that everyone nods, including yourself. “in that case, action!”
with as much sexiness and grace as you can muster, you slide your top up and off of your head without any struggle. your shorts are next to go, leaving you in your matching bra and panties. they’re not the same as the ones you’d worn with hanta; you hadn’t been able to find those even after the shoot wrapped up, so you just assumed they’d been thrown away. after all, he’d absolutely shredded your panties.
you unclasp your bra and shrug it off. the packet of notes on the shoot didn’t give you much information about each scene, looking like it had been torn away from the writer while they were still brainstorming. messy bullet points with complicated annotations were scrawled below every titled scene—one of the things that had you furrowing your brows was a nondescript bullet point reading sexify soap bottle highlighted in both yellow and blue. who the hell is the producer behind this? yes, you’re thankful that they set you up with shoto, but they need to get their shit together when it comes to giving actors material to go off of. it’s either a neat, legible packet or nothing at all!
emphasizing the slight recoil of your asscheeks as you pull the panties down is a little bit awkward. actually, it’s very awkward, but you have no choice but to push through it. you rush to kick the underwear off and hop into the shower; the camera has seen enough of your ass when you’re undressing. whoever isn’t skipping the slow, teasing removal of clothing scene in the beginning of most porn videos has some serious patience!
anyway, you step under the warm spray. the water pressure is just wonderful, as nice as a hotel shower, and all you can smell is the fresh, new shower curtain. colorful bottles of shampoo and body wash line the shelves, just begging to be grabbed, so you give in, selecting a sweetly scented wash. it pours smoothly into your palm with a soft squirt, and fragrance curls through the air as you start to soap up your legs.
you don’t realize the minutes have gone by until you’re in the middle of spreading the suds all over your tits, and the shower curtain is unceremoniously pulled to the side. the culprit is grasping the plastic, which is printed with rubber duckies all over it, and he manages to look smoking hot rather than unserious. oh, if this was for real, you wouldn’t mind having a roommate like him walking in on you in the shower. hell, you’d make sure your apartment is outfitted with a glass shower if it meant he could watch you get all sudsy!
shoto’s cheeks are the lightest shade of pink as his eyes shamelessly dart from your soapy tits to your face. it’s clear that he doesn’t know where to look—you barely manage to keep the smirk off your lips, remembering that you’re supposed to feign surprise.
“i thought i heard a noise, like you slipped . . or something.”
fuck improv. shoto’s done with having to come up with ridiculous porno lines. he doesn’t watch nearly enough stuff by his lonesome to get creative. like, if you’re a producer hiring him for a shoot, why does he have to come up with dialogue for your video? and for the love of god, any scripts or note packets given must be neat and legible, with useful details or annotations!
the gray and turquoise of his multi-colored eyes look like precious gemstones. how is it possible for someone to hit the genetic lottery like he did? shoto’s skin is clear and smooth, in the kind of way that doesn’t come from just expensive and high quality skincare. behind you, the water falls onto the tile, hitting it like rain, and you realize it’s time to deliver your line.
“i’m pretty sure i locked the door,” then you raise an eyebrow at him, glancing meaningfully at his grip on the curtain and how far he’s pulled it back, “don’t tell me you broke in, roomie.”
shoto’s face darkens with embarrassment, and all you can think to yourself is wow, he’s really such a good actor! with the curtain drawn back, the spray makes its way out of the shower and onto his dry clothing, dampening the fabric. naturally, your eyes begin to wander, raking down his body until you spot the lump of his half-hard cock in his sweats.
“i didn’t break – alright, i did,” he submits easily, chewing on his lower lip while his gaze flicks from your face to your chest. “but shouldn’t you have made it so i didn’t have to?”
suds slip down your chest, mingling with water and pouring down your slippery body. they mostly dissipate on their way down, but a few traces of soap catch in the hair at your pelvis. you swish your body from side to side, setting a hand on your hip for your next line. he looks up, catching the slightest twitch of your lip—are you holding back a laugh or a smile?
“you’re blaming me for not making a move? don’t think i haven’t seen you skulking around every single day. you’re my roommate, and you’re acting like you wanna be my boyfriend or something.”
again, fuck improv! this entire genre of unscripted hot roommate porn needs to die immediately, but he pushes it out of his mind in favor of thinking useful thoughts. it feels like it’s too early to call a cut, but what if—no, he’s got it. what does any not-so-good actor do when they’re struggling in the middle of a scene? they think of their co-workers and dive into the scenario to better understand it. you are his hot roommate that he’s been lusting after, and he needs to act like it!
you don’t expect him to pull back, and clearly, neither does the director—the man is squinting in confusion from behind shoto, whispering profoundly to the guy opening a laptop.
he clears his throat, suddenly stepping back. “you never once stopped me or called me out. i’m, uh, sorry for misreading the situation.”
before shoto can fully turn around, you do the first thing that comes to mind.
you reach out and grab him by the dick. that definitely gets his attention; his eyes widen a fraction, and genuine surprise just looks so good on him that it makes your thighs squeeze together. he stares at you, a vehement mixture of both arousal and incredulity buried in his eyes, and you’re still holding him in place. it’s too early to let go, so you squeeze, reeling him in like the catch he is.
“i never said you read things wrong . . and maybe—maybe i liked the attention too much to stop you.”
shoto kisses you right then and there, pressing himself against you so that he’s halfway in the shower. the shower water hits him like rain, soaking his hair, and you realize that if you weren’t completely naked and working to tug his pants down, this could almost be a scene straight out of the notebook. his hands wander to your bare ass and he kneads the flesh there, more for himself than you.
“cut! cut before anything goes further!”
the director is quick to stop recording, holding a hand up as he gets to his feet. he looks toward a member of the camera crew, who is opening tabs and programs on the laptop. “hold on for a second, we just have to make sure the camera in the shower is recording correctly.”
shoto looks like he’s in pain when you let him go, but he doesn’t say anything.
“so,” you smile warmly, reaching out to brush your fingertips along his arm as you talk. “i liked your improv. you really brought the idea of the video to life with all of that.”
yes, it’s a totally regurgitated compliment from your shoot with hanta. you made sure to say it with as much charisma and friendliness as he did, and yet, shoto remains placid. he nods, his lips pressing into a straight line. for a moment, you think he’ll strike up a conversation, but he only says, “thank you. you too.”
oh, so he’s shy. it’s not completely shocking, considering your line of work—it’s easy to be bold and sexy on camera, but actually talking? it can be more difficult for some actors and actresses. although, if you were being completely honest and not just understanding, you had somewhat expected this shoot to go as well as your last one did with hanta. you’d hoped to hit it off initially, then explore the chemistry on set, but he’s just too damn polite. could you break him down in the shower?
at shiketsu, he was a fan favorite among many of the girls. (actually, if you’re thinking back far enough, you’ve definitely heard one or two men talking quietly about him too.) many of them would watch his videos and swoon over the way he’d handle his co-star in it or talk out loud about what they’d do if they got the chance to film with him. now you have the chance to do something with him—and you’re going to make it count.
“you got everything synced up? okay, check this so you can make sure it’s—yeah, that’s good,” the director looks toward you, your co-star, and the mounted camera in the shower. “we’re rolling in five! if you could resume kissing like the last scene, that’d be easier for the editors.”
“hey. should i rinse off all the soap so we don’t risk slipping? it’d be better visually if i left it, but it’s up to you.” shoto hears your whispering and nods, leaning in so that the microphones don’t pick up his response.
“yes, we could turn around so that you can rinse. i don’t want either of us to slip or fall, especially with the shower being as small as it is. it’s an emergency room visit waiting to happen.”
as of right now, the camera is rolling. shoto moves fast, nearly headbutting you when he crushes his lips against yours; the kiss is warm, silently eager, and not at all what would be shared between two yearning roommates. if this video was about thanking your partner after some good sex, maybe it’d work. but it isn’t; you take the reins and crank the heat all the way up.
shoto gasps into your mouth when you hike your leg up and around his waist, dragging him into the shower like you plan to devour him. you’re also not holding onto anything aside from him, so he has no choice but to go along or risk dropping you. by the time he gets under the steady steam of water, his shirt and boxers are entirely soaked; his sweatpants are a gray heap on the floor, the only article of clothing that remains dry.
the mounted camera undoubtedly zooms in on shoto pressing you against the wall, and you grabbing at his cock through his boxers. against the column of your throat and in between quick kisses, he emits the softest of sounds, letting you know to keep doing exactly what you’re doing. the water washes away much of the soap and significantly lowers the possibility of slipping, allowing for easier movement—he leans back to undress, making quick work of his shirt and boxers.
now, it’s just you and one of your favorite pornstars.
you’re minutes away from making a longtime fantasy become reality.
before you know it, he’s on you again, but this time he’s fitting a hand between your thighs. you open up for him like a flower in the moonlight, expecting to hear a moan or even some filthy praise, but there’s nothing. not a word, not even a sigh. you fill the silence for both of you with a breathy moan, spreading your legs wider in hopes that he’ll touch you more.
the tips of his fingers glide against your pussy and come away slick with your arousal. while staring directly into your eyes, shoto raises his hand to his lips and proceeds to lick his fingers clean, like he’s just spilled something sweet while cooking. it’s hot as fuck to watch—you feel the throb of need right in your clit. catching a glimpse of his tongue as it curls around his finger does not help either.
while he’s focused on giving you a show of sin, your eyes leave his to inevitably wander down his body. his chest is all lean muscle and sharp edges, the strength and hard work obvious in a single glance. someone’s voice mixes with the sound of the water and turns to static; you only hear your co-star when he tilts your chin up, bringing your eyes to his.
“i said, bend over.”
it’s only a simple command, but it does so many complex things to your body.
in only a fraction of a second, you’re already bent over and ready. water rushes over your back, much of it sliding off, but some pours down your ass and against your pussy. without looking behind you to check, you know his eyes are on you, and so is the camera—in fact, it’s probably zooming in right now.
there’s a hushed thud as shoto drops to his knees, promptly grasping your hips to draw you back. he doesn’t give a damn if it causes you to lose your footing, but he might just do it again if it means he’ll be able to hear your gasp of surprise again.
fervent and excruciating, a tingling heat surges through your body once he gets his tongue on you. slowly, like he’s savoring a meal, he licks a stripe from your clit upwards, dipping the tip of his tongue past your folds like a fucking tease. it’s good, so good that you gasp out a moan and press back into his face, palms sliding down the wet tile. it’s only just begun, but you’re already wondering what he’ll do to you. what if he overstimulates you, licking your clit like it’s a lollipop, until your knees are buckling? maybe he’ll make out with your pussy, french kissing it in a way that’s a lot less shy than how he’d kissed your lips . .
your back arches when his fingers slide into you without any resistance; he buries them to the knuckle and exhales at how god damn tight you feel around him. after a beat, he begins to flick his wrist, setting up an unwavering rhythm with an ease garnered only through experience.
his tongue slides against your clit and it’s like a match to gasoline—your reaction is immediate and irresistible. it’s no secret that shoto’s currently rock hard, his cock hanging neglected and untouched between his thighs, but it doesn’t distract him in the slightest. right now, it’s only your pleasure that matters, and honestly, he’s not inclined to pause if it means you’ll stop making those pretty sounds.
“fuck, you’re good with your tongue,” you gasp, almost choking on the words, “j-just keep licking me like that, baby.”
baby? baby?
the casual petname slips out of you easily, even if the rest of what you were saying didn’t, and shit, it really does something to him. shoto remains silent, even though his heart is pounding so hard he thinks it’s possible he could faint; even so, he decides not to say anything at all. doesn’t make any noise. doesn’t let himself breathe too loudly. doesn’t look affected.
you’re too caught up in the sensations of his devastating fingers and the way he uses his tongue in just the right way to notice his silence. right now, it’s just the splashing of water, your breathless moans, and the squelches of your soaked cunt as his fingers plunge in and out, repeatedly hitting that spot that makes you see stars.
“oh my godddd,” an almost-sob tears out of your throat, and shoto’s eyes roll back. he’s licking your clit like the whipped cream on a sundae, his mouth watering at the taste of you. to be honest, he actually regrets fingering you right now—it’d be so much better if he could use both hands to hold you against his face while he drinks in everything you have to give him.
when his agent had let him know the details about the shoot and who the producer wanted to pair him with, shoto dug through his safari tabs to find the shiketsu studios website, the library of alexandria’s filthy counterpart. the website was open on his very favorite video of you, the one where you were giving some bum a handjob and talking him through it. thank god the actor had the sense to stay silent, even though you were giving it to him good.
that is exactly the kind of porn that shoto likes. if he’s sitting down to watch something either for dialogue inspiration or to jerk off—something that happens once in a blue moon—he prefers the man in the video to be quiet. many of them tend to let out these nasty, animalistic grunts that they mistakenly believe are sexy, and it just ruins the mood. everything about your video was top tier—he could only see you working the guy’s cock, only hear you talking to him, and god, it was perfect. shiketsu was a lot of things, but never sloppy when it came to your videos; during your early days, whoever had been in charge was setting you up in some hot videos left and right, making sure that those angles were nothing short of flawless.
it was posted over two years ago. he still watches it to get himself hot before shoots and in between takes to keep himself hard, locking himself in the bathroom to stroke himself to the sound of your voice. the audio plays in his head, mixing with your pitched moans and occasional whines; shoto’s unconsciously reaching toward his cock, pressing his face flush against your pussy.
“hnngh, shit,” he licks you harder, thinking about how much you deserve this. for accepting this shoot with him, for helping him not get fired, for helping him get off for the past two years.
his hand wraps around his leaking cock, and fuck, it feels like sweet relief.
“‘m close, baby, you’re gonna make me cum,” frantic desperation makes its way through your words, and shoto’s fist strokes upward, his grip tightening at the tip. part of him wishes that you were filming a video where you were the one leading or controlling the situation . . maybe the opportunity will come along sometime in the future.
you fall off the edge and into overwhelming euphoria with a sob. all you can do is pant, trying your hardest to breathe against the water rushing over your face. shoto does his best to help you through it by kissing at your clit, his fingers curling deeply against that soft spot inside of you.
he does it until you squirm away, bothered by the overstimulation. he sneaks a peek at the director, who motions to keep going. when he pulls his fingers out of your cunt to hold your hips, you turn, throwing him a heated look over your shoulder.
without saying anything, you’ve communicated what you really want.
shoto straightens, cock still in hand. just to draw it out, he rubs the tip against your swollen clit, trying to be sensitive to the fact that you literally just came a minute before, but the contact is still as electric as a shock. it’s torture at its finest—you’re pressing back, eager to feel all of him.
he exhales shortly when he slides his cock into you, his eyebrows drawing together. there’s no simultaneous moan or words of filthy praise; shoto bottoms out and pulls you a few inches closer. as the post-orgasm bliss begins to ebb away into something more kinetic, you moan a few times, trying to sell the scene. this is supposed to be the heated climax (pun intended) between two yearning roommates, and he doesn’t seem to be engaged.
as much as you want to see his pretty face, you’re actually grateful that you’re bent over instead. it’d be more awkward making noise if you were looking into his eyes, unable to hide the embarrassment that comes along with doing so. it’s one thing when you and your partner are both making noise, but this is clearly not the case.
it feels good when he starts to move, leisurely rocking his hips into you like he’s taking it slow just to map out your body, maybe commit the details to memory. skin against skin, tip to cervix—the tempo is comfortable as it builds upon itself. there is a certain sense of detachment in the movement, like maybe you’re not on the same page, or perhaps your sexual preferences are very different. the hot fuck me look over the shoulder has worked on your co-stars in the past—there’s something about the wild eye contact right after an orgasm that gets people moving faster than saying the words could.
you’re buried in your head, wondering what you’ll eat for dinner tonight and why he’s so god damn quiet. shoto’s got complete access to your body and he’s fucking you like he’s half asleep; his lower lip is tugged between his teeth, and he appears to be concentrating intensely. how are you supposed to feel comfortable moaning and making noise when it’s just you making an effort to do so?
shoto’s eyes narrow, his heart kicking against his ribcage. he’s raw inside your pussy and able to feel every agonizing squeeze of your walls as you get tighter; he wants more than anything to let himself succumb to your body, the pleasure you’re giving him, but he holds back for the camera. his jaw clenches with effort as he holds his tongue, thinking of what’ll be the best for your budding reputation and the viewers of the UA website. but if he really focuses, listening closely, he can hear you getting quieter now.
so, he murmurs your name and starts to move faster, with more passion, and that seems to get you going. you’re letting out these hushed moans and occasional whines of that’s good or harder, and he actually has to bite at his cheek so he doesn’t get too loud. a faint, iron-like taste gathers on his tongue, but he doesn’t let up. instead, he bites down harder.
the dirty smacking of skin against skin fills the room, giving the microphones half of the noise that they need to make this video a good one. shoto deciding to go a little harder makes it a little bit easier to moan, even though you’re still feeling a little less hot than you’d expected to.
“fuck, right there,” you gasp, hoping that it’ll encourage him to say something back. you really don’t want to call cut and explain why silent sex is a turn-off, then continue filming for however long to get it right. the possibility of offending him—perhaps he’s naturally quiet—and then having to continue afterward is one of the things that bothers you the most. “g-give it to me, babe.”
no response. a slight chance in pace, an adjustment of the angle of his cock, but not a single noise.
you let it go on for about three more minutes, until you can’t deal with it anymore. since orgasming, you haven’t been in the frame of mind to have sex—there’s no haze making your thoughts fuzzy, and not enough arousal to keep you going. even thinking of hanta doesn’t help! you throw your ass back onto him a few times before you bite the bullet, mouth falling open.
“oh my god, oh my god,” and your back arches to make it more believable, “i’m so close, i’m gonna cum.”
you squeeze around him as hard as you can, still flexing the muscles even when you let go, and it actually works. shoto pulls out of you, choking out something under his breath, and spills white and messy across your lower back. the water washes all of it away, and you let your head hang, feeling the disappointment like a freight train. this entire shoot was the complete opposite of what you’d so badly wanted, and you just faked an orgasm to get it over with.
“cut!”
shoto helps you up and turns off the water. much of it has gotten outside of the shower, forming cold puddles on the floor that you’re careful not to slip on. the director comes forward with towels, offering one to you and one to your co-star.
“you can get dressed in the bedroom right across the hallway,” he explains to you, handing you your folded clothes, “and we’ve got a few extra shirts and boxers—uh, what size are you?”
you walk to the bedroom, wiping yourself dry without looking back. as you get dressed, you can’t help but wonder what you’ll tell shinsou. he’d probably picked up on how excited you were to do this shoot, and now you’re coming away from it feeling unsatisfied. but you’re a pornstar! pornstars don’t always have good sex, and that’s fine—sometimes the hottest people in the industry aren’t always the best lays. this was only a trial run with him, right? if you get paired with him in the distant future, it’ll probably be a lot better. maybe his problem is that he doesn’t let loose enough, but who knows?
someone knocks on the door without announcing themselves.
assuming it’s the director, you unlock the door and pull it open, only to come face to face with a shirtless todoroki shoto. it feels like what you wanted to see upon arriving at the condo—damp hair, barely dry muscles on display, gray sweatpants. he’s a god damn wet dream and quite the sight to behold.
he gives you a sideways hug, and okay, you’re ready for a do-over. one bed, no cameras, and a locked door. the camera crew needs to step aside—you’re more than capable of handling this.
“i, um, just wanted to say thank you. for a good shoot. it was very nice to meet you today.”
“of course,” you smile at him, folding up your wet towel and heading to the bathroom. the camera crew is busy breaking everything down while the director works with the laptop to save the footage for editors. “thank you for the towel. is there anything else you’ve got for me before i head out?”
he sets down the laptop and stands to shake your hand. “if you could just drop that into the basket near the washer and dryer before you leave, that’d be most appreciated. we’ll be finished editing and touching things up by this time tomorrow, and then we’ll contact your manager with any additional information.”
shoto doesn’t follow you to say anything more when you step out of the bathroom. just like when you’d first met, he waves again, but this time, a happy smile spreads across his face.

★ Leona x Gn!Reader, Reader is Yuu here! Mentions of Grim too but like, BARELY. A little over 1k words!
★ SYNOPSIS: In short, you made realizations about your relationship with Leona that you probably should've had... months ago.
★ A little warning for possible OOC, bad writing, and grammar mistakes, hehe! Regardless, I hope you enjoy :D
Tumblr media
Being sure of yourself was something that you took pride in. That was the case back on Earth and especially the case now that you were thrown into Twisted Wonderland— a place so unfamiliar that you might as well have been considered an alien.
Maybe you already were? You were magicless with a strange fire-hazard for a cat-raccoon thing. Even now as you walked towards the botanical garden, you were carrying Grim. It wasn't hard at that point to take into account the way the other students looked at you. With their scrutinizing eyes and avoidance, you figured that your guess isn't so far off from the general opinion of the public.
You didn't care, though! You're CONFIDENT that you've experienced enough to have already met the worst jerks that this “d!$ney-knockoff house of villains-ahh” college had to offer.
Well,
that is…
…until you met Leona Kingscholar.
The most prickly jerk you ever came to know. A man so VILE that you're on your way to meet up with him in the garden for your regularly scheduled naps.
Honest to whatever God your current world had, as much as you wanted to moan about how long the stick in Leona’s mud of a butt is, he's nooooot… the worst guy ever. Actually, deny it as you might, the prince of the Afterglow Savannah was more of a friend than a jerk to you.
Still a jerk though.
One heck of a comfortable one, at that (much to your dismay). In fact, in recent times, he's quite the substitute for a pillow, if you could say so yourself. And you do! You even insisted on meeting today just to nap because you sleep better when Leona is your pillow.
"Huh?"
You suddenly stop walking, hit with the reality and weight of your own thoughts.
You use... Leona as… a pillow?
You… you use Leona as a pillow…???
You… huh…????
????
‘I DO WHAT NOW???’ You suddenly drop Grim onto the floor in the middle of the hallway, hands flying to your head as a slow, slow, quiet crisis takes over you. It was as if you gained sentience the moment you thought too deeply about your relationship with him.
No, but seriously!? Now that you put more of a conscious effort to evaluate your actions, you realized that you've been so affectionate with Leona! Using him as a pillow, resting on his side, napping with him in the garden and in his bed…!?!? In his bed for goodness’ sake!
How come no one has told you that you do these things!? (Ace and Deuce have mentioned it before.)
Why has no one mentioned how weird it is for you to act that way with Leona!? (Many have mentioned it: Namely the Heartslabyul folks, the first years, and even Grim.)
Is this even legal!? (It is but you were not being rational at that moment.)
“OH MY GOD!?”
So much for being sure of yourself!

Thinking back to your entire relationship, you wouldn't be able to say when it all started. When did the frightening lion of a beastman stop being so… frightening?
Was it after the Octavinelle fiasco when the subtle touches— lingering and often leaving an explicable amount of warmth in an otherwise tepid patch of skin— started to come about? You never would've thought that you'd say this but forced-proximity does wonders with communication and you did stay in his room for a good while (but you still don't advocate for it…).
Or was it after VDC when the softness held behind each of your gazes when you come across one another reared its worrying head?
Worrying to the point that the once untouchable prince became within reach of your hands, of your heart, and of your mind to be consumed with him, him, and only him.
When did the two of you stop being hesitant but oh so very careful as to avoid any alarm?
When exactly did the sands of your friendship break down into something so… different yet all the same? Like a sandcastle broken by the heavy tides. The foundation may have been broken and yet the material was still, irrevocably, sand.
Who knew a crisis driven by cuddles could induce metaphors?
And metaphors aside, you like the beach, and the sand, and the waves. Very much. It was always so warm to the touch, just like h— Oh.
When did—
“Oi, Herbivore, eyes on me.”
Leona's voice snaps you out of your overactive mind in an instant, as if your entire being knew that its main focus should be the person right in front of you. The person that had your left cheek cupped in his hand that could easily cover your entire face up if he wanted to do so.
But he won't. Especially when you haven't flinched away when you both knew how keen you were with keeping to yourself.
He would've backed off the moment you showed any reluctance. After all, your comfort is his priority. But you haven't shown him the slightest bit of discomfort and he was willing to take the chance to assume that perhaps he wasn't just seeing things when he thought you looked at him in a way no way else had before.
And by the Sevens were the two of you so compatible as similarly, your brain had decided to grow blank with only one thought to entertain it with.
No beastman should ever look that soft.
And yet, he does.
Because of me.
What the hell were you thinking? You weren't even fully conscious when you dragged your body to find his after your little crisis half an hour ago.
You supposed that that was simply another thing you aren't sure of.
“Herbivore, c'mon. Look at me. You can't possibly ignore me when you were the one who insisted on meeting up.” He almost whispers and you could've sworn that your heart had melted faster than anything under the scorching sun.
You almost felt like defying him just to see how far he'll go.
But you look at him anyways— eyes peering right into his viridescent ones that shined so ethereally under the setting sun.
You met this vile, vile man's gaze, growing worried as the sound of birds chirping could've beaten the quiet volume your voice had taken. Still, you spoke, albeit without any thinking,
“Oh, God, I like you.”
And at this point? That was apparently the one thing you were sure of.

I read through the email again. The overly positive response with a slight undertone of aggression reading only “You can do it!” stared back at me.
Now I could do many things. I could write some damn good proposals for pitch meetings. I could soothe frazzled investors nerves over coffee. I could design a marketing camping guaranteed to increase sales by a minimum of 38%. I could even hyper focus and eat nothing but microwaved chalupas for days if I was stressed enough. But sell a glorified modern day torture device as ‘kid safe’? They must be shitting me.
The “Trans-plant ©” was a teleportation device meant to move living organic material across a “Unlimit’d (Trademark)” distance, and was also on its 33rd rebrand for a name. I was partial to linking it to a Fey portal fantasy theme but was shot down by investors as it being too feminine a reference. Clearly none of them read spicy fey romance.
So while I had my brain bursting with yet another round of branding ideas, already thinking about hiring influencers that worked in garden trends and #cottagecore to possibly be our first publicity stunt of using the “Trans-plant ©”, I had gotten the official details of the product itself. After 7 months of bureaucratic red tape and 1000s of meetings, today I was finally sent a single password protected pdf… on a locked server that could only be accessed with a 3-step verification log-in involving my personal and work cell phones… and social security number.
Dear God, it’s literally over 2000 pages.
Now despite working for years in advertising, I actually hate it. I hate the clients, I hate the work, and I hate bullshit like expecting me to read engineer notes (and understand them!) when all I wanted to know was how long does it take for teleportation to work? Why couldn’t anyone tell me that, I had to give SOMETHING to graphic designers this week. And the fact that they hired me at all meant they couldn’t pull off an advertising campaign with AI tools alone.
So it was bad. There was something very bad in here that required human ingenuity to spin into a positive.
I fucking hate my job.
I liked paying rent though, so I began a first pass of the reading through the document from hell searching for my turds they expected me to polish into gold. It took 10 minutes of scrolling only looking at pictures to reach the bottom of the document.
It’s fucking giant.
Ok, so it had what could be considered a preppers wet dream of a bunker storage beneath it filled with all sorts of spare parts, so it’ll have to be built by itself in the middle of an open field… not super convenient liked they pitched, but still workable with my current #cottagecore marketing plan. Middle of nature, middle of nowhere construction site, people will love it. I'll make them love it.
A second pass of the document was just the search function trying to find the speed of teleportation itself. No matter my keywords though, I found nothing.
Honestly they should never try to lie to their lawyers or their marketing team. It’s their public image that will be ruined if I pitch something wrong.
I was on my 7th plate of microwaved cheesy sadness when I finally found the bit I was looking for, page 1112:
The distance to which the organic matter must travel is proportional to the time divided by the size of the matter. In practice it has been found for stability reasons that the endoskeleton be targeted for transportation first, followed by soft tissue. For this configuration it is not recommend for living exoskeleton matter, or matter without any endoskeleton.
The highly complicated math problem underneath I had no hope of understanding, and I knew if I plugged it in to a computer it be recorded and I’d be reported and fired in a hot second. But through years of gas lighting I had developed a brilliant skill in translating hot air bullshit, so I read it again:
It takes a while to transport something big. To make sure it gets there, skeletons are transported first, followed by the flesh. Not recommend for crabs or jellyfish.
What. The. Fuck.
Ok so I did a little creative copy pasting that I absolutely should not do, but the only way I was going to get my answers was through the math problem. And What an answer it was.
A cat took 28 seconds. A full grown adult took 42 seconds. Hypothetically you could go the distance to the other side of the planet, but it would take 4 minutes and 17 seconds to get there. Bones first. Conveniently there was no health reports or mention of comfort level. Pretty sure there was comfort level mentioned somewhere. Maybe an email?
But no, there was nothing specific ever mention. More hours spent going through old client emails I discovered the only ones mentioning comfort level, "kid friendly" and "instant arrival" were all other marketing team people. The last and most recent one simply reading: “You can do it!”
I can do what exactly? Record influencers climbing into a pod in the middle of a bulldozed forest to make a space for the underground bunker, slowly melting bones first for 42 seconds? Perhaps a time-lapse…. No, no!
This was bad. The whole thing made my stomach queasy and for once it wasn’t the chalupas. I… I couldn’t work on this. The more I read the worse it got. Tiny foot notes relating to installing and stocking sedatives and other drugs to keep travelers compliant for "exceptionally bad responses to transport".
I had an ex coworker once who had gone full whistle blower on one of the clients. I had still been mulling over what to do, when I got the alert from IT our team was the compromise origin. I did what I could to minimize damage, calm tempers, but I was a grunt back then. Nothing I said could stop the full weight of the corporate law from coming down on them with a 80 year sentence.
I still sent them commissary money to use in jail. Once every few months an email since they were no longer allowed physical mail.
There, but for the grace of God, go I.
This could not be allowed though. Every single thing about it was worse and worse and I didn’t even understand the math parts! I went to art school for craps sake. Human psychology was just another hyper focus of mine like my sad melted cheese lunches, that were only getting sadder with my reading companion. And cold.
The thing about my ex-coworker, is that they blabbed to the wrong people. The blabbed to the media, the general populace. But that’s just free publicity. The companies are titans. But you know… Maybe a titian could take down another titian?
It would be a longshot but… What if I it got leaked to their competitor? What if, in the rush to outpace my client, they got sloppy? A few horror stories here and there. Instead of influencers, everyday construction crew reporting live on the scene of the backstage horrors.
We’d need a name though. Something to mock, something to meme…. Bones first…. 28 seconds…
No, no. Wrong angle. People care about themselves first. Think locally!
Bulldozing homes and local markets to build these monstrosities. Underground bunkers holding mass amounts of drugs next to sweet children schools. Straining the resources of the power grid and knocking out hospitals, putting peoples lives in jeopardy. Sad music, rain in the background, night vision filters.
They’d lose every investor and most of the funding. At worst both company’s would install a hack job of a single set of teleporters, and it’d become a novelty no one uses after the first weekend.
I looked one last time at my email: “You can do it!”
Yeah… Yeah I think I can.
The teleporter was supposed to be instant. To your horror, as the one in charge of marketing, it is not. Now you have to find a way to sell this 'miracle machine' that slowly reassembles people, bones first.

MINORS DNI
Tumblr media
perv jungwon who notices everything — the way your shirt rides up when you stretch, the curve of your thighs when you sit, how your lips look when you pout. he never says it out loud… just files it away and stares when he thinks you won’t notice.
perv jungwon who hums softly and goes, “your skirt’s a little short today, huh?” without even looking up — like he’s trying to sound innocent, but you feel his eyes burning into you anyway.
perv jungwon who has the dirtiest thoughts about you but hides them behind a calm smile. no one would guess he’s picturing you on your knees while you’re rambling about your day — but he is. he always is.
perv jungwon who once watched you sleep in his bed, shorts riding up, skin soft and warm under his blanket, and whispered, “if you knew the things i think about when you’re like this…” with his hand already slipping into his boxers.
perv jungwon who steals one of your panties. just once. maybe twice. definitely more. folds them neatly and keeps them tucked somewhere secret — and yeah, he uses them when he’s thinking about you.
perv jungwon who zips up your dress slowly, fingertips brushing along your back like he has all the time in the world. pauses just above your ass, then whispers a soft, “there you go, baby,” like he didn’t just pop half a boner from it.
perv jungwon who offers his lap when there’s nowhere to sit, then grips your thighs just a little too tight. his voice is soft when he says, “you’re fine right here,” but his cock twitches the second you shift your weight.
perv jungwon who gets hard when you tease him, and just blinks at you like, “what did you expect? you’re straddling me in those tiny shorts, baby. i’m not made of stone.”
perv jungwon who looks like he’s listening when you talk, but he’s actually just staring at your chest — then calmly says something like, “your top’s kinda see-through. just thought you should know.”
perv jungwon who lets you cuddle him while watching a movie, even though your leg is pressed right up against his cock. he keeps his hands still, but his breathing changes. you pretend not to notice. he knows you notice.
perv jungwon who makes the softest little moans when you accidentally brush your hand over him. he always plays it off like nothing happened, but his face gets pink and his eyes don’t meet yours for the next five minutes.
perv jungwon who stands in the doorway just watching you bend over. arms crossed, head tilted, eyes shameless. and when you call him out, he just smiles and says, “don’t let me stop you.”
perv jungwon who jokes about filming you during sex — or at least pretends it’s a joke. “you’d look so fucking good on camera, drooling for me like that.” and when you squirm, he grins and licks his lips.
perv jungwon who calls you “baby”, “princess”, and “sweet girl” when you’re mad at him. and when you roll your eyes, he leans in and murmurs, “c’mon, you only hate me when i stop touching you.”
perv jungwon who whispers in your ear, “you act shy, but i can feel how warm you’re getting.” and when you try to deny it, he presses closer and murmurs, “mm-mm. don’t lie to me, baby.”
perv jungwon who finally kisses you one night — slow, deep, controlled. pulls away with swollen lips and a ragged breath, then says, “been dying to do that. thought i was gonna lose my mind every time you smiled at me.”
perv jungwon who wrecks you soft — fingers gripping tight, kisses messy, voice shaking. and when it’s over, he holds you close, and wraps you in his arms like you’re the only thing that matters.

I've been thinking about looking around for a new job. Much as I love my job, I'd like to move into the private sector and earn a little more money. I'm not hurting, but I could be much more comfortable. And it kind of stalled out, I was struggling to get motivated, and I wasn't sure why; part of it was for sure that it's hard to find a private sector job with my somewhat niche skills and experience, but I've done more with less before.
But today I was researching employee philanthropy initiatives at a couple of companies -- some companies match donations, some give paid time off specifically for volunteering, some offer donations to a nonprofit if a staff member volunteers there for X amount of time. And the philanthropy benefits page of one company linked to their "Here are all the benefits we offer" pamphlet PDF, like health insurance, life insurance, 401K plans, etc.
And just scrolling through it, remembering all the times I'd been given something like it at a new job, just gave me this huge whack of anxiety. I remembered that feeling of anxious excitement from having a new job, not knowing what it would be like yet, but only the anxiety came back so viscerally. Because I don't like changing jobs, I don't like the uncertainty and having to figure out office politics and social situations all over again. And the last time I changed jobs I only did it because I was working in such a hellishly abusive environment that anything else would be better. It worked out great, but it was an act of desperation to begin with.
So, on the one hand, maybe it's not time to change jobs. Money isn't everything. But on the other, money is a lot, and maybe it's time to sit with that fear a little and figure out how to get round it so I can actually get on with the task of sourcing a bigger paycheck.
