a prank gone right
Genre: crack and fluff
A katsuki bakugo x reader
Synopsis: pranks never go right with your perceptive boyfriend, bakugo. In a last-ditch effort to have the last laugh, you decide to use the oldest prank in the book.
a/n: everyone say thank you to @barbathoes for this wonderful idea. hope you guys enjoy~ let's get started
Bakugo had always had a keen eye.
It was one of the things that made him one of the best heroes. He was able to observe his teammates' behavior and adjust to them. He was also great at finding the smallest flaw in his opponent, easily pushing himself to victory.
So It was no surprise when katsuki was able to dodge and call out every prank you tried to pull on him.
From the crying pranks to the risque hickey pranks, bakugo was able to discern them all.
Well, except today.
Today, you were going to do everything in your power to prank thebakugo katsuki.
You debated for a long time on what prank would catch bakugo off-guard the most. You couldn't do anything that involved actually breaking his heart since that was too cruel and could be taken out of context. Something that involved "hurting" yourself might cause him to worry instead of having the last laugh. But finally, after a few hours of research, you finally found a prank that actually had a shot in working.
The tape on the doorway prank.
while the prank might be the most obvious and simple. its simplicity might be the one to catch the pro hero off guard. You weren't entirely sure if it was going to work but hey, you could try, right?
It was a lazy Saturday afternoon. Katsuki was in the living room, checking his emails on his phone while the tv playing in the background. You, with the excuse of taking take a nap, skipped into your shared bedroom with the unnoticed roll of thick clear tape.
"bet you 10 dollars that it won't work,"
"betcha 10 that it would,"
Denki and Kirishima bickered back and forth in the group video chat while you began to stick the strips onto the doorway, one low to the ground and one high enough to hit his face. Mina couldn't stop herself from giggling just imagining if the prank does work.
"sero, you're the tape expert. How did I do?" you whispered, letting your friend look at your work. Sero gave you a thumbs up in response. The prank was almost ready.
Lastly, You set up a separate camera on the bookshelf and plopped down on the bed. You turned off your speakerphone, staying on the phone with the squad so they could hear everything unfold. You took a deep breath before finally initiating stage two of your plan.
"izuku! How are you?" you pretended to talk to midoriya, raising your voice more than normal. You hoped that bakugo could hear you from the other room.
"I'm good. So what's with the sudden call?" you pretended to respond. By now, every single member of the squad was snickering amongst one another. You willed yourself not to laugh with them. "oh, you want me to train with you? Sure. Katsuki's been ignoring me so I highly doubt he'll notice-"
"hah?!" a booming voice was heard from the other room. You turned your grinning face away from the door as you heard the familiar raging stomps come closer and closer to the open doorway. "the hell, dumbass? You're the one who wanted me to leave you alone so you could take a nap but now you're gonna sneak out on me with that damn nerd?!" he continued to rant as he finally reached the doorway. His rage seemed to get in the way of his senses. That's good.
"you could've fucking asked me if you wanted to train. You know I'm ten times better than that damn Deku and-" he continued to ramble only for him to stop short when his face slammed into the sturdy tape. You couldn't help but burst out laughing. You turned your phone's camera back on, watching as everyone began to die of laughter on the other line.
Bakugo glowered at you, embarrassed for falling for the obvious prank. He blew the tape into smithereens in rage. He was about to pounce and snatch your phone away when he tripped over the tape that was lower to the ground. The bakusquad laughed louder than you've ever heard them, you couldn't help yourself from joining them. The prank actually worked.
However, your laughter died in your throat when you saw the scary, passive-aggressive smile your boyfriend wore on his face.
Oh shit.
"I'm giving you three seconds to run."
You never ran out of the apartment faster.

And that's all! My friend gave me another version for todoroki so if you guys want that asap, send me an ask!! Love you guys 💕💖❤️

Skydiving | Andy Barber
Andy x reader
Summary: Andy tries to prove a point of going skydiving with his younger significant other, but it might not as well as he planned.
Warnings: fluff, age gap (reader in their 20s) , angst over age difference
Word count 1.1k
A/N: I have been MIA for a while on here and I am sorry! I’ve been having some family troubles that are currently taking up most of my time and when I do have a spare moment I just haven’t been able to find it in me to write. But I’ve finally had some inspiration and have jotted ideas down for more stories that I can’t wait to share with everyone in the near future. ❤️
“Let’s go skydiving.”
You looked up from the book you were reading and turned your head slightly. Andy walked into your living room, his eyebrows creased in concentration as he tied his tie. He looked so serious in comparison to the carefree words that just fell from his mouth.
“Yeah, no.” You shook your head, returning to your book. You got about three more sentences in when the book was snatched from your hands and your boyfriend's face was in view. Not being able to help the smile that spread across your face at the sight of the bearded man in front you; you leaned forward and pressed a kiss to his pink lips. It was a short but passionate kiss, your tongue just teasing the seam of his lips.
“Please.” Andy pouted once you pulled away. “I heard it’s what all the young kids are doing.”
You know he meant it as a joke but your brows furrowed. Lately, Andy had been feeling a bit self conscious about the age gap between the two of you. You were in your mid twenties and Andy had just breached the 40 mark. Forty wasn’t old, but Andy always liked to point out that it definitely wasn’t young. But you didn’t care how old he was. Andy was your person. You were sure of it.
The two of you had met when you interned at the DA’s office. Andy, just freshly divorced, wasn’t looking for anything serious and you weren’t looking in general. But late hours and long days turned into a friendship that slowly but surely turned into love.
“Bub.” You ran your hand down his face, your thumb sliding across his jutted bottom lip.
“It would be fun.”
“It sounds terrifying.” You countered.
“Oh come on,” Andy leaned forward to press a kiss to the side of your neck. You giggled, his beard always tickling you. “What’s life if not lived with a little bit of fear?”
“Uh safe?” You joked. You let out a squeal as Andy pinched your sides before pulling back once again. His blue eyes met yours and you couldn’t help but be drawn in.
“I’ll pay for it.” He raised his eyebrows suggestively.
“Well that was a given. If I die, I want it to be on your dime.” You smiled as you twisted your fingers around the end of his tie, watching him closely. “Is this something you really want to do?”
“Yes.”
“And not because you’re trying to prove a point?” You raised your eyebrows causing Andy to shake his head. For a moment there was a flash of hesitation behind his blue eyes; the fear of being too old for you always a nagging feeling in his mind. But as soon as you saw it, it was gone, replaced by that all too familiar excited gleam.
“If the point is that I’ll look better than you in those jumpsuits they make you wear then yes.” He smirked. You let out a scoff and rolled your eyes, but used his tie to pull him back towards you.
“You wish.” You grinned against his lips before planting one on him.
“So is that a yes?”
You groaned and let your head fall back before giving a simple nod. You couldn’t help but laugh as Andy let out an excited cheer. You brought your head back up and watched as he stood up, straightening his tie once again, a huge smile covering his face.
“Okay, so get ready because I booked our time for later this afternoon when I’m done with this meeting.” Andy gave you one last kiss, his body shaking with laughter at your shocked face.
“Andrew Barber, you are such a brat. What would you have done if I said no?” You gasped at him as he grabbed his jacket and briefcase.
“I knew you wouldn’t. You love me way too much.” He teased with a wink.
“Yeah, well, that’s highly debatable now.” You joked. “Get out of here before I change my mind.”
Andy’s laughter followed him out of the house and you just shook your head and smiled. He was right; you loved him so much that the terrifying idea of jumping out of a plane didn’t seem too bad if you knew he was by your side.
*
“Oh, Bubba.” You cooed, trying hard to hide your laughter. But the glare from Andy had you letting out a giggle.
He opened his mouth to say something but all that came out was a groan, his hands resting on his back. You carefully placed the heating pad behind him and then handed him the four ibuprofen.
“Thanks.” He grunted out. “God, this is embarrassing.”
“Why?” You sat down next to him, mindful of his aching back. You ran your hand down his shoulder, his arm and then linked your fingers with his.
“Because I’m sitting here moaning and groaning like an old man.” He bit out the last word as another spasm of pain hit him.
“Andy, the instructor said you guys landed funny. It’s not your age that’s giving you pain, it could have happened to anyone.” You soothed, your thumb rubbing over his knuckles.
“But it happened to me. And this stuff is going to keep happening to me because I’m old.”
“Andy…” Carefully, you lifted one leg over his so you were straddling his lap. You brought your hands to his cheeks and made sure he kept eye contact with you before you continued. “You are not old. Yes, you are older than me but that doesn’t mean anything. Nothing. Nada. You have more energy than most of the other people I have dated. You're easier to talk to because you actually know how to have a conversation that doesn’t just revolve around sports and social media. Your life experience is so god damn sexy to me. Okay? You make me feel special and loved and cared for. And that’s all that matters. The only one in this relationship that resents your age is you, baby. I promise.”
Andy let out a wavering breath, his eyes shining with unshed tears. He huffed as one escaped and traveled down his cheek. Leaning forward you kissed away the salty drop, then moving to give his other cheek a kiss.
“I love you.” He rasped, his forehead falling forward to meet yours. “I don’t know what I did to deserve you, but whatever it is I’m glad I did it.”
You smiled, your own eyes watering at how much you loved the man in front of you. “I love you too. Now let’s get you to bed.”

One Locker Down
Kenickie Murdoch x Reader
//Grease popped up in my playlist yesterday and my childhood crush reignited itself
Senior year was going okay. Your grades were stellar, your standing in debate club was unchallenged and your personal best was improving every time you swam. But you were missing one pivotal thing to be considered the ‘complete senior.’ A relationship. You became embarrassed simply at the thought. You were cute and nice, just a bit awkward. Your social skills couldn’t hold a candle to those of Patty Simcox or the Pink Ladies. You usually preferred to keep to yourself but as senior year drew closer, you longed for more than what you had. On the first day of school you considered your options as you walked.
Are there even any options? Can you think of one person outside of your activities that even knows your name?
You were a bit discouraged walking into school as you found your way towards your locker. With your mind lost in thought, you had no time to react before bumping into none other than Kenickie Murdoch. He turned towards you directly, mouth open to begin sending a barrage of insults your way before he saw you. His mouth hung open a moment and then shut quickly. You stood there like a deer in the headlights, still waiting for the attack that was never to come. Kenickie bent down and picked up your books as you brought yourself out of your state of shock.
“I am so sorry!” You said bending down to help him, only to bonk heads with him instead. Kenickie rubbed his head and pulled off his sunglasses.
“Jesus, babe! Are you trying to send me to the hospital?”
You felt yourself blushing at what he called you and you quickly shook your head ‘no.’ Kenickie handed you your books and you went around to the locker right next to his.
“What’s your name?” Kenickie asked suddenly.
You stuttered out your name and he grinned at you.
“I like it,” he said smoothly. He looked like he had more to say until someone down the hall shouted for him. He gave you a wink and strolled down the hallway. You felt your heart beat wildly in your chest until you realized what had happened.
Ohhhh no. Not him. Not Kenickie. He’s a playboy, a greaser, not to mention he’s trouble incarnate.
But it was too late. You had it bad.
--
You didn’t see Kenickie until a week later. You were at your locker packing up for the day and when you closed the door, he was leaning against his locker. You stifled a scream and put a hand to your chest. Kenickie smirked at you.
“What’s the matter? Did I scare you?” he asked, pushing himself off the wall to face you.
“Just surprised me is all,” you tried to answer confidently, but it came out very unsure. Kenickie backed you into your locker and put his left hand next to your head, blocking you in on one side. You bit your bottom lip and stared up at him.
“How is it that I never noticed you before?” Kenickie eyed you up and down. “You’re hot stuff.” You thought you might die right then and there.
Kenickie thinks I’m hot? Is he feeling alright?
“Thank you,” you said shyly, keenly aware of how close he was to you and only wanting him to get closer.
Suddenly Kenickie moved away from the lockers and started walking away, calling back to you, “See you around gorgeous!”
You resisted the urge to dance your soul right out of your body and you headed the opposite way.
--
Kenickie’s POV:
“Kenickie who is that?” Sonny gestured to (Y/N) standing at their locker.
“Yeah, we’ve seen you talkin’ to em a whole bunch lately,” Putzie added.
Kenickie rolled his eyes and looked at the other T-Birds.
“What are you knuckleheads doing spying on me, huh?” He started to comb his hair, slick with grease, back.
“We just wanted to know what the plan was, boss,” Doody piped up. Kenickie looked at him confused.
“Plan?”
“With the nerd! We were thinking you could leave em a note inviting them on a date, tell em to wear something real flashy, and then they show up and you ain’t there!” Doody exclaimed. At this, the T-Birds erupted into laughter, hooting and howling like animals. Kenickie shut them up with a quick smack to the back of their heads.
“Enough clownin’,” he said, putting an unlit cigarette in his mouth.
“Come on Nickie, it’ll be funny!” Sonny begged.
Kenickie thought about it for a moment or two before saying, “Gimme some paper.”
--
Your POV:
You stood at your locker, feeling flustered. You had found a note from Kenickie. You read it over again just to be sure. It said:
“Dollface, you’re lookin’ extra good today. I was thinking maybe you and me could meet up tonight. Wear something to show off your assets. See you at Frosty Palace, seven o’clock. -KM”
You didn’t know what to think. Sure Kenickie had been nice to you lately, but the T-Birds were known for pulling stunts to hurt people’s feelings. You thought about what you wanted to do the rest of the school day, through swim practice and on your walk home from school.
Kenickie is probably just doing it to be mean. But he did say all those nice things to me… Then again it might’ve been a trick to ensure I’d come. But why go through all the effort just to stand me up? To make me look silly?
You walked into your house, waving to your mother as you went upstairs. You laid on your bed and yelled frustrated, into your pillow. You stayed there for a few moments before you heard your door creak open. You sat up as you mother walked in and sat on your bed.
“What’s going on?” Your mother asked, running her hand through your hair.
“I like this boy, and he asked me out tonight but I don’t know if he’s just going to ditch me,” you sighed. Your mother looked thoughtfully for a moment as you waited patiently for her sage wisdom.
“I think you should go. What does it matter if he stands you up? Go because you want to. If he’s there, great and if not, you can find someone else to spend time with. You are a beautiful, smart and kind person. You can get anyone you want so show that boy that you don’t need him, but you’re willing to give him a chance.”
You smiled and nodded at your mother and she helped you pick out a cute, but fairly modest, outfit for tonight. Then she helped you do your hair and by the time you were done, you looked great.
Kenickie, I hope you’re gonna be there. Cause I am gonna knock your socks off.
--
At six fifty your mother dropped you off just down the street from the Frosty Palace. You thanked her for everything and started walking. You hoped against hope that this wasn’t a trick. Your mother’s words had touched you, but you knew what you wanted, and you wanted him.
As you approached Frosty’s you scanned the parking lot, but saw no sign of him and your heart dropped into your stomach. You crossed the street and looked inside, but you still didn’t see him. You rounded the corner, intent on sitting on the bench so no one could see your tears, and there he was. Kenickie freaking Murdoch. He was leaning against the building, smoking a cigarette and as you walked up, he looked over at you.
“Whoa, look at you,” Kenickie smiled at you. “You look… amazing.”
You grinned at him and grabbed his hand, pulling him inside before he could even finish his cigarette. After a night of drinking milkshakes, eating burgers and playing songs on the jukebox, Kenickie drove you home. Once you got to your house, Kenickie parked and turned off the car.
“I had a lot of fun Nickie,” you said sweetly.
“Yeah, me too,” he said scooting closer towards you.
You leaned up and kissed his cheek. As you started to lean away, Kenickie caught your chin with his hand and kissed you hard on the lips. You kissed him back with intensity and wrapped your arms around his neck. His hands grabbed your waist, sliding them under your shirt and rubbing small circles into your skin. You squeaked in surprise and Kenickie took the opportunity to slip his tongue into your mouth. You were enjoying the moment so much you could barely tear yourself away from him when he tried to lay you down.
“Kenickie,” you mumbled as he kissed your neck.
“Mhm?”
“I don’t think I’m ready for that yet,” you said gently as you pushed yourself back a bit. Kenickie begrudgingly pulled away, giving you one last kiss.
“Whenever you’re ready babe, I’ll be here,” he said, winking at you. You giggled and hugged him. He held you close, his hand running through a section of your hair.
“See you next Friday?” You asked.
“You know it,” Kenickie smirked as you got out of the car. You waved goodbye to him and watched him speed down the road.
Oh yeah. I got it bad.

broken promises
pairings: fred weasley x reader
warnings: swearing, mentions of war, death eaters, mentions of death, mentions of alcohol, mentions of food, mentions of an angry padfoot, tiny fluff, and most importantly: angst angst angst
word count: 7498 ;-)
note: i hope you have the box of kleenex and a tub of ice cream i asked you to bring, because shit’s about to get real !!
how does one narrate a well-structured story when your life has been an absolute mess? well, i guess you could start from the night you met him.
take me back to the night we met.
it was rather unusual to see an upcoming sixth year amongst the flock of first years. you were studying at hogwarts for the first time, and you were quite glad that your dad, also known as the infamous sirius black, finally let you move in with him in 12 grimmauld place, as he claimed to finally have his life together.
you were formerly from the states. moving in with your aunt (a cousin of your father’s), and studying in ilvermorny as soon as you turned 11, explaining the prominent american accent amongst the british ones.
as soon as the sorting hat decided which house you would be in, professor mcgonagall, an elderly witch in long green robes and a pointed hat, told you to meet her at the deputy headmistress’s office after the feast.
you wished that you'd asked where the office was because now you were getting lost within the numerous hallways, stairs, and rooms of hogwarts. you knew how huge this school was, but you didn’t expect it to be too enormous to get lost in.
you were currently passing by a hallway full of paintings who were having an animated chat with one another. you let yourself smile softly, admiring the magic between the hallways. some of them greeted you, which you gladly returned.
you were about to take a turn in the hallway to your left when someone suddenly yelled, “hey, wait, no!”
“wha-?” but you were too late, as soon as you stepped foot in that corridor, you were immediately drenched in orange and purple slime.
too shocked to move, you stood there frozen. the guy who yelled, stood frozen as well, grimacing as you carefully wiped the slime off your face.
fred closed his eyes in mortification, expecting you to be mad. he anticipated yelling or scolding, and maybe even if you considered beating him to the pulp. when it didn’t come, he peeked an eye out open to see you levitating the slime off your body, and before he even knew it, he, too, was drenched in slime.
you laughed, and he swore he never heard anything so angelic until he got a fleeting speck of it. he didn’t even mind the slime dripping off him when he finally got to see a proper look at you. if he was going to be honest, he never really paid attention to the sorting ceremony. he and george have been talking about all the pranks they’re planning to pull, so this was the first time he caught the sight of you, and oh sweet baby merlin, he thought, you were stunning.
he snapped out of his trance when you decided to speak up, “so, is this some sort of welcoming tradition for the new-comers?”
“oh, only for the ravishing ones,” he smirked, giving himself a mental pat on the back for immediately coming up with the witty one-liner.
you rolled your eyes, fixing your brand new y/h robes. fred looked at you with curiosity, “what are you doing here, anyway? students don’t normally roam around here, most especially newbies. that’s why i waited for good ol’ filch whereas george was grabbing the dung bombs,” realizing that you probably had no idea who filch or george was, he stopped talking, giving you some room to talk.
“ah, well-”
“miss black! there you are, i had to question a few students and paintings about your whereabouts. th—“ she stopped speaking, glancing at the redhead behind me, “mr. weasley! what- what is the meaning of this? why are you drenched in goop?”
fred grinned, sending a wink your way, “that’s my cue! see ya ‘round, gorgeous. oh, and you, too, minnie!”
you and the deputy headmistress stared at his retreating figure with amusement. professor mcgonagall led you to her office and let you choose from the various optional classes and introduced you to a student who’ll give you a tour around the obsolete castle.
our friendship will never die, you're gonna see it's our destiny.
it has been two days since that fateful night when you met a certain redhead. you were trying to recall the directions towards the charms classroom when someone ran past you, harshly bumping your shoulder, and consequently making you drop your things. a distant yelp from behind you was heard, “oi! george, you prat!”
“godric, ’m sorry, didn’t notice you,” he said, picking up your fallen books and pouch of quills and ink. you looked up and recognized the fiery red hair and deep brown eyes.
“y’know, i should really anticipate the day when we’ll run into each other without you dousing me in slime or bumping into me when you're running away from someone,” you laughed, taking the books from him as you stood up with your pouch in hand.
“what d'you mean?” he tilted his head, evident confusion occupying his face.
you observed him, seeing if this is some kind of joke that he was playing. when you’ve seen no mischief swimming in his eyes or a smirk, you knew he was serious.
“oh, come on, weasley. i don’t reckon getting drenched in slime would be effortlessly forgettable,” you asked.
“i remember you, just not when you were, erm, drenched in slime. i saw you at the sorting ceremony. padfoot's daughter, yeah?” he said, rubbing the back of his neck. he rummaged through his head for where he could’ve possibly seen you. he felt bad that he didn’t know what you were talking about.
you sort of thought you left an impression. well, seeing as you were a victim in one of his pranks. “well, yeah, that, too, but i was talking about when i was in a hallway you claimed was deserted? then professor mcgonagall found us? no?”
he frowned, but just as his lips turned downwards, he started chuckling. weird.
“what’s so funny?”
“we haven’t particularly met.”
“what d’you mean? i’m rather sure that i wasn’t dreaming when that happened,”
he laughed, running a hand through his hair, “don’t worry, you weren’t,”
you were confused, to say the least, but then another voice from behind you spoke up, “that’s because it was me who you met that crucial night, goop,”
you looked up at him just in time as he swung an arm around your shoulder. you looked back between the guy who bumped into you and the guy who drenched you in slime.
back and forth.
forth and back.
red hair. red hair.
twin. twin.
“oh. OH!” you exclaimed, “twins! oh, merlin, this is embarrassing,” you laughed sheepishly. of course, that just had to happen.
they both laughed along with you. fred removed his hold on you and stood beside his twin, “yes, twins.”
george chuckled, offering you his hand to shake, “‘m george weasley, the bloke who drenched you in slime’s twin, and i sure won’t be forgetting about you now.”
i chuckled, shaking your head, “would you two be so nice and show me the way to charms? ‘ve got a few more minutes before classes start,”
“‘course, we’ve got nothing better to do than escort a pretty girl to her class, anyway,” fred, at least you thought it was fred, winked at you, making you huff amusingly.
the three of you walked together towards the desired destination as they, too, had charms, when curiosity got the best of you and asked, “hey george?”
he looked down at you, blame the evident height differences. “yeah?”
“why were you even running away a while ago?”
his eyes widened and fred smirked, taking his frozen state as an opportunity to smack his head, “tosspot left me with snape when he caught us, he got to run away whilst i got a weeks worth of detention,”
you snorted, “first rule of pranking is you don’t get caught, and here i thought you two were experts,”
“oh we are, darling! snape’s just timed well-- greasy prat’s been waiting for the chance to punish us.”
“well, if you’d let me, i’d be willing to be an apprentice for this little mischievous escapade of yours,” you offered, smiling as they both looked at each other with compelled looks.
“alright, freddie? reckon this is a start of a revolutionary friendship,”
“a start of a revolutionary friendship, indeed, georgie.”
“well, now that we’ve established our apprenticeship, ‘tis lovely to meet you both, i’m y/n black.” you smiled, taking each of their hands. they grinned mischievously, “glad to have you with us, miss black,” and before you knew it, they dragged you to the classroom by your arms.
each night i ask the stars up above, why must i be a teenager in love?
“you fancy him, don’t you?” you shifted your gaze away from fred and glanced at george, who was looking at you with a pointed look.
you knew that you could trust george, he’s your best friend, and you are his. you knew that he wouldn’t tell a soul, even fred, despite him being his twin.
you sighed, “yeah, yeah, i do,”
he nodded, a thoughtful look on his face, “do you ever plan on telling him?”
“no. it’s obvious that he doesn’t like me back. he sees me as his best friend and i certainly don’t want to ruin our dynamics, george.” you whispered as you saw fred making his way towards the both of you.
“what’re the two of you whispering about?” fred whispered, moving his head in between you and george.
you smiled, “fred. but don’t tell him that! we don’t want to feed his egotistical attitude if he ever finds out,”
“oh? well, why’re you talking about,” he looks at his surroundings as if he didn’t want anyone to hear, “fred?”
“we were debating whether he’s the most handsome twin, or if it’s george.”
“and who’d you say?”
“george, of course,”
fred gasped dramatically, earning a harsh glare from madam pince, “you wound me, woman! how could i possibly live with the betrayal?”
you giggled silently, scared that madam pince might consider giving you her wrath, “sit down, you wanker, madam pince might kick us out again.”
“are you actually scared of the librarian?” george chuckled.
you look at him with wide eyes, “how’re you not? if looks could kill, she’d give he who must not be named a run for his money!”
“SHHH!” speak of the devil. you cowered away in between the twins as they made fun of you.
“it isn’t funny!” you whispered, tilting your head so your hair curtained your face.
“i don’t know, goop, it’s quite hilarious,” george continued snickering. ‘goop’ has been their nickname for you ever since your first encounter with fred, it was supposed to be a one-time thing, the nickname, but they sort of just stuck with it.
fred cooed, “aww, don’t worry that pretty little head of yours, i’ll— georgie and i will protect you from pince’s frenzy,”
you rolled your eyes trying to express irritation, but the smile on your lips have betrayed you. you were about to respond when you’ve been interrupted by a couple of giggling second-year girls.
the three of you snapped your heads towards them, confused.
“s’there anything you’d like to share, ladies?” fred asked, wiggling his eyebrows, making them giggle more. you and george shared a glance and smiled.
the three of them looked at you, making you dumbfounded, “is he your boyfriend?”
your eyes widened in surprise, but you decided to play along and joke, “which one?”
they giggled, pointing at fred.
you both looked at each other with raised eyebrows and small smiles.
“yes.”
“no.”
you looked at each other once more, you with a mix of stun and disbelief, fred had a huge grin on his face. and george? george just rolled his eyes, displeased with the obliviousness of his best friend and twin who clearly got the hots for each other.
“we’d make such a cute couple, no?” fred asked, throwing an arm around your shoulder.
you looked at the girls and gave them a wink, “hmm, i don’t know… i’m not particularly fond of having ginger babies.” they giggled. gee, what was wrong with them and giggling?
he rolled his eyes and leaned forward, gesturing for the second years to come closer. fred smiled at them and whispered, “i’m not her boyfriend, i’m her husband,” they gasped, grabbing your attention, you tried to make out what he was saying but to no avail.
“yeah, we’re married, and now you better start calling her mrs. weasley whenever you see her, yeah?” fred grinned mischievously before leaning back to his chair. you looked at him in suspicion, but he paid you no mind as he opened up a book that you both know he won’t read.
you shook your head, checking your watch for the time, “i better get going, i promised to help hermione with differentiating runes,” you kissed the cheek of both boys, but lingering a bit with fred. when you pulled back, you waved at the girls.
they giddily waved back and said, “goodbye! see you around, mrs. weasley!”
you stopped in your tracks, slowly turning around to glare at the sniggering twins. you scoffed, turning back around and leaving the library, avoiding the gaze of the frightening librarian. as soon as you were out of sight, you let out a chuckle, feeling your cheeks heat up.
fred watched you gradually get smaller as you left the library. he would be lying if he said that he didn’t wish to be in a relationship with you, but he didn’t want to make a move— afraid that you’ll reject him and your friendship would be broken. he adores your friendship too much to risk it.
george watched as his brother stared at your retreating figure with love and longing. he shooed away the girls so that he could talk to him without any disturbances.
he repeated the question he asked you moments before fred arrived, “you fancy her, don’t you?”
he snapped his gaze to his brother, eyes wide and brows raised, “huh?”
“y/n. d’you fancy her?” he repeated, this time facing his parchment to continue writing the order forms.
“why? do you?”
“no. now, answer my question.”
fred sighed, “i’m head over heels for her, georgie,”
george just smiled at his brother, mentally counting all the galleons he’ll be able to receive within the month— he knew you’d get together sooner or later, but george definitely wished it‘d be sooner because he doesn’t really fancy losing tons of galleons.
we used to steal your parents' liquor, and climb to the roof. talk about our future, like we had a clue.
after weeks of pining after each other, and a very satisfied (and a few galleons richer) george later, you can finally say that fredrick gideon weasley was now your boyfriend. all you had to do now is to tell your father.
the weasleys were staying over at 12 grimmauld place for the holidays, much to yours and fred’s pleasure.
the ‘adults’ (they still didn’t want you and the twins to join despite your age legality) were still having the meeting and it was quite late. you just had to wait till everyone was sound asleep before sneaking out of your room and wait for fred in the lounge.
once you’ve heard the satisfying shut of each door, you quietly tiptoed around your room with your fluffy socks on, determined not to wake ginny and hermione up.
once you opened the door, you were met with the sound of another door opening. you froze, hastily thinking of some sort of excuse as to why you were still awake.
you didn’t see nor hear any signs of movement so you peeked your head a bit, and saw fred doing the same. you quietly giggled, carefully shutting the door as you made your way to fred.
“hi goop, missed you,” fred mumbled, fuzzing his head in the crook of your neck.
you laughed silently, “fred, we just saw each other three hours ago.”
“i know, but that was too long. it felt like forever,” he smiled, “now, c’mon, we need to celebrate,”
“celebrate? for what?”
“for successfully sneaking out, of course,” he said, steering you around the house, hand in hand. “now, d’you reckon your dad has a stash of fire whiskey somewhere?”
you hummed, removing the hold of his hand and rummaged through the kitchen's cupboards, “aha! there y’are,”
fred turned his gaze towards you as you shook the whiskey in his face, “let’s go,”
he grabbed the shot glasses and a blanket that was laying around in the couch before letting you drag him away.
“c’mon, freddie,” you whispered, slowly opening the attic ladder, hoping that kreacher was nowhere to be seen.
you both went in, careful not to step on any creaking floorboards. when you reached the window you opened it and handed the whiskey to fred, “give me a minute,”
“be careful!” he exclaimed, nervously watching you climb over the ledge.
“always am,” you winked before raising yourself and onto the roof, “give me that and climb,”
fred did so, and as soon as the both of you were up there, he threw the thick blanket over the both of you, and cuddled with each other.
a couple of shots later, the both of you were giggling, talking about all the pranks you’ve managed to pull through the years you’ve been in hogwarts. the laughter soon died down and the sounds of breathing, the wind, and the engines of the muggle vehicles were the only things that were heard.
“do… do you ever think about the future?” fred asked. you stared at him, he wasn’t looking at you though, he was gazing at the twinkling stars up above.
“yeah… they mostly contain you, though,” you whispered, placing your head on his chest as he pulled you closer.
“yeah?”
“yeah.”
“me, too,” he smiled, kissing your forehead.
you sat up and kissed his nose, “c’mon, red, reckon we’ve had too much to drink,”
the both of you packed up everything you’ve used, carefully made your way down, kept the firewhiskey, and washed the glasses. too tired and drunk to go to bed, the both of you retired on the couch, sleeping in each other’s arms.
as soon as the sun crept up through the window blinds, you groaned, rubbing your eyes to get rid of the sleep. once you’ve gotten used to the blinding light, you looked up and smiled at your sleeping redhead.
you slowly slipped out of his grasp, kissed his forehead, and walked towards the drawers to look for painkillers. you haven’t even drunk that much.
fred woke up a little while later after feeling the warmth of your body heat disappear, he yawned quietly, taking in his surroundings and remembered what happened last night. he was quite giddy, to say the least. he has been after hearing that you thought of having a future with him.
he stood up and saw you at the kitchens, drinking a glass of water. he made his way towards you and slipped his arms around you, hugging from behind.
“g’morning, love,” his morning voice still never fails to make you flustered.
“morning, freddie,” you smiled. he moved around you and grabbed a cup of water for himself. as soon as he made sure his morning breath was out of the way, he smiled at you, “it’s nice that your voice was the first thing i heard today.”
he leaned against the counter as you wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him in for a kiss.
fred gladly complied, wrapping his arms around your waist, pulling you closer. you slowly bit his bottom lip, emitting a low groan from him.
sirius just woke up and was desperately in need of a cup of black coffee, no pun intended, he chuckled. he grabbed his hair brush from his vanity, brushing his tousled hair as he silently went down, careful not to wake anyone up.
as soon as he entered the kitchen, he was met with the sight of the weasley boy groping his daughter’s arse. his hand stopped mid-brush.
“get your hands off my daughter, weasley!” he growled, making his way towards the poor bloke.
the both of you immediately jumped away from each other, eyes wide. this isn’t how he’s supposed to find out!
fred was scared shitless, if he might say, so he carefully backed away as sirius approached him like a predator.
fred ran. yes, ran. and sirius? he chased him around the kitchen with his hair brush in hand.
“‘m sorry, sirius, don’t kill me,”
“how dare you come into my house and snog my daughter!”
“no, sirius, ‘m sorry!”
“then you strut around and grope her arse like that,”
“sirius! said ‘m sorry, put the hair brush down!”
“didn’t molly teach you any manners?!”
“she did, she did, she’s a wonderful mother. sirius, no!”
in other times, you would’ve stopped the chaos whilst sirius, who was still in his dog-printed pajamas, chased a very pale fred around the kitchen with a hair brush.
but you didn’t, so you were laughing your arse off. you wouldn’t want to miss the chance to laugh your arse out with what’s happening. you knew your dad was a sweetheart, he wouldn’t actually kill fred, right? … right?
soon, every member of the order and the children, frantically went down with their wands drawn out, looking around for trouble, but they, instead of seeing any death-eater related attacks, saw a very angry padfoot manhunting a 6’3 ginger twin with a harmless hair brush, and a wheezing y/n.
“mum, hide me! he’s gonna murder me with a brush!” fred immediately took cover behind his mother. she and the other adults sighed exasperatedly but smiling nonetheless.
“thought someone was getting tortured with how freddie was screaming bloody murder,” george snickered.
“get out here and face me like a man, fredrick!” sirius growled, but stopped a bit and asked, “or is it george?”
fred cowered away behind his mum, “george, george! ‘tis definitely ‘im!”
george’s eyes widened and yelped, “‘m george! he’s fred!”
“dad! stop that, fred and i are dating,” you said, wiping your tears away.
sirius was taken aback, lowering his weapon, “what?”
“we were supposed to tell you today, but i guess you were just too eager,” you teased him, making your way towards fred and intertwining your hands together. fred looked slightly hesitant but smiled sheepishly at your father.
sirius just squinted his eyes at fred, racking over the tall redhead, “you better watch your behavior, boy, or you might as well just sleep with an eye open.”
you knew your dad loved fred, he’s been asking about him the moment you’ve told him about your blooming friendship and the pranking adventures you have had. he admires the bloke, fred reminds him of his younger self, minus the playboy endeavors and the family issues. he approves of the boy, but that doesn’t mean he fancies waking up to him snogging his daughter.
sirius slowly approached fred, opening his arms for a hug, but fred flinched, making everyone laugh. when he realized what sirius was trying to do, he laughed nervously, hugging him back and awkwardly patting his back. he was about to pull away when sirius tugged him back in and whispered, “i’m serious, fred. one wrong move, and i’ll be damned to be back in azkaban,”
fred shuddered slightly, but nodded nonetheless, “i’ll never hurt her, sirius, she means the world to me.” he smiled, both of them looking at you as you laughed with george and remus, retelling them what happened.
i don't promise a lot, but i'm keeping my word.
it has been at least a year and a few months since your father has passed, and fred has been with you through it all. you were spending your holidays at the burrow with the rest of the weasleys (plus harry, remus, and tonks).
you were currently in the living room, gossiping about boys (well, you were talking about fred) and the latest scandals in hogwarts with ginny.
“gin, i mean, have you seen the way harry’s been looking at you during dinner?” you asked, watching as her face grew red.
“he has not! ‘m convinced that you inhaled too much of fred’s perfume to be talking ‘bout something as poxy as that, y/n.” she laughed, fiddling with her sleeping robes.
“can you blame me? he smells so good. now, don’t tell me you haven’t had a sniff of thou chosen one’s essence?” you giggled, “c’mon gin! the both of you are meant to be, you’re soulmates, a stubborn one, at that.”
“we’re not, y/n! you and fred’re the proper definition of soulmates,”
you smiled softly, “it’ll take time, ginny. i can see the way he looks at you, it’s the same way i look at your brother,”
she sighed, “let’s just hope you’re right,”
“i’m always right,” you joked, waving at fred as he made his way towards the both of you.
“what’re my lovely girlfriend and sister talking about?” he smiled, kissing your cheek.
“soulmates,” ginny shrugged, looking away from harry.
“soulmates? what a load of bollocks,” fred’s face twisted in disgust, before whispering in your ear, “we’re definitely soulmates though,”
your face started to heat up and you couldn’t stop the smile spreading across your face, “yeah?”
“yeah,” he pecked your lips, throwing an arm around your shoulder and turning to ginny, “yeah!”
“i reckon he’ll marry you on the spot if he can,” she rolled her eyes, smiling as well since she heard what fred said.
“oh i would’ve done it the moment she drenched me in slime, but it has to be special, y’know?” he said, peppering your face with kisses, “flowers, confetti, diamond ring, grand gestures, all that sort.”
“freddie, i’ll marry you even if you propose with a toy ring,” you beamed up at him, kissing his nose, “because i’ll love you forever and always.”
“i’ll love you forever and always, too, goop,” he said, looking at you with pure love and adoration, “and that’s a promise.”
i'll say, "will you marry me?", i swear that i will mean it.
and fred did mean it as you’ve been together for four years now and counting.
“we’re in this together, goop,” he said, which leads to where you are now, fighting off the death eaters and co, side-by-side.
“stupefy!” you shouted, knocking off the death eater charging towards percy.
“thanks,” he breathed out, you nodded, “no problem.”
“incendio!”
“ascendio!”
“incarcerous!”
“stupefy!”
“petrificus totalus!”
you saw fred and percy handling a group of death eaters beside you as you finished off one, but what edged you off was one of them raised their wand, but it wasn’t pointing at any one of you. it was pointing at something behind you, you looked back just in time as he yelled the spell.
“fred!” you pushed him, mustering up all your strength to bring you along as the wall from behind you collapsed.
you coughed, “stupefy!” successfully throwing back the man.
you detach yourself from fred, “fred, fred?” you patted his cheeks, he was still breathing.
“c’mon darling, you have to wake up,” you cried, looking up for a bit as percy kept the remaining death eaters distracted.
“marry me,” fred whispered
you let out a breath of relief as you looked down, “w-what?” you wiped off the dust in his face.
“marry me,” he said more clearly, slowly sitting up to cup your face.
you slapped his arm, “you could’ve gotten yourself killed, you numpty!”
“but… i didn’t?” he yelped, rubbing his arm to soothe the pain, “not the answer that i was expecting but, alright,”
“marry me, y/n,” he kneeled down on one knee, grasping your hands, “i know that this isn’t exactly the proposal i’ve had in mind, hell, i don’t even have the ring, but i love you ‘till the ends of the earth and i’m asking you once again, y/n black. will you do the honors of being my future wife?”
you cried, nodding your head as you didn’t trust yourself to speak up. you pulled him in a hug as you sobbed against your shoulder, “i love you, too, fred, forever and always,”
he kissed you, he kissed you like it was the last thing he’ll ever get to do.
“erm, guys, i’m terribly happy for the both of you, and i hate to say this but we’re in the middle of a war!” percy warned.
“c’mon, goop, we’ve got a war to win,” fred kissed you one last time before the both of you ran off to help percy.
and i realized, no, we're not promised tomorrow.
they said that a couple’s wedding day is bound to be the best day of their lives. a new chapter to write. a new door to open. a new voyage to venture. tons of possibilities.
you were standing in front of a length-view mirror, admiring yourself in the reflection. you were wearing the wedding dress of your dreams, your hair was styled into a sophisticated up-do, and your makeup was elegant.
“hey, sis-in-law, you ready?” george peeked his head through the door, “wow, i-”
“hi george,” you smiled, wiping off the tears gathering in your eyes, “oh, merlin,”
“freddie’s gonna go bonkers,” he hugged you, pulling back to admire you once again, “c’mon.”
you and fred granted george to be his best man and the one who’ll walk you across the aisle, and for the first time in your six years of friendship, you swore you never saw him hug you so tight with tears in his eyes.
as soon as you arrived in front of the closed archway, george stopped to look at you, “you sure you don’t want to back out, goop? fred farts in his sleep sometimes. ‘ve got the keys of the flying ford anglia in case you ever need an escape plan,” he joked.
you giggled, “i think i can handle a farting fred, georgie. i’ve been your best friend for too long, you’ll never know how much i’ve been through,”
he chuckled, “if that’s the case, then let’s go get you and loverboy officially married,”
as soon as the door’s been opened, you suck in a breath, awestruck with how the decorations were perfect— all thanks to molly’s orders and hermione’s organizing, guests in their assigned seats, and most especially, your husband-to-be clad in a black and white tuxedo, tears gathering in his eyes. everything was so magical.
you were expecting that today would be the happiest day of your life, you were expecting to exchange your detailed vows with fred, you were expecting for the long-awaited “i do’s”, you were expecting to seal the deal with a kiss, you were expecting to have a wedding ring as an eternal promise displayed on your left ring finger, you were expecting to listen to george’s embarrassing stories of you newlyweds, you were expecting to start your future with fred.
what you didn’t expect though? was that as soon as george gave you away, as soon as you were standing in front of him, fred apologized and ran away, tugging at his tie.
your smile disappeared.
the guests gasped, turning their attention to you as ron and arthur chased after him. tears started to pool in your eyes, releasing a shaky breath. you hardly noticed that the guests were anticipating your reaction or that the weasleys were ushering them into the venue where the reception was supposed to be. you were just staring at the place where fred once stood, expecting him to come back and say that it was all a prank.
but he didn’t, and that’s what broke you the most.
you collapsed on the floor, sobbing on george’s shoulder as he whispered some comforting words.
you’ve waited, and waited, and waited.
you sat on the step board, still in your wedding dress, tear-stained face, and messy hair. george offered some company, just sitting beside you as you stayed silent, rubbing your back soothingly as the guests bid you goodbye with sad smiles.
george was mad. no, that was an understatement, he was fuming. he knew how much fred loved you. he knew all the plans he had in store for the both of you. he knew all the words fred will say in his vows. what changed?
as soon as everyone had cleared out, you refused to leave from where you were. you refused the food they gave you, or the clothes to change into. you were positive that fred would come back. he promised.
“c’mon, y/n, please, let’s just get you home,” george said, offering you his hand.
“no, i-i’ll stay, george,” you said, your voice cracking, “i’ll wait for him, he’ll come back. he can never do this to me, he wouldn’t.”
but you were wrong. he never came back. he broke his promise.
by the time the clock struck 7, george have had enough of your stubbornness. he understood how you felt, of course, but he didn’t want his best friend to wait all night for someone he knew wouldn’t come back.
so the both of you walked, he shrugged off his suit jacket and wrapped it around your shoulders. you didn’t want to come back to the burrow, but you had to pick up your godson and be on your way. you didn’t see fred there either. you ignored everyone and all their pitying stares. you didn’t even hug molly back when she wanted to comfort you.
you just carefully detached yourself from her, grabbed your godson, and went out. you and george were walking in silence as he carried the boy, walking the both of you towards the apparition point.
george sighed, he knew he wouldn’t be seeing you for a while, and he wanted to give you some space, so brought the sleeping kid to your hold and kissed your forehead, “owl me whenever you need me, yeah?”
you forced a sad smile, “thanks georgie, i’ll see you around,” and apparated away to 12 grimmauld place.
you said you'll grow old with me.
“uncle georgie!!” teddy, your godson, immediately abandoned his coloring book and leaped in the arms of george.
“hey, little man!” he laughed, watching as teddy’s hair turned into the same shade of red as his. it always happens ever since he decided that george was his favorite uncle (don’t tell harry!), and he’ll never change it to his original hair color until the next day.
you smiled, placing your cup of coffee down to greet your best friend, “hey, george,” you kissed his cheek.
“‘m just checkin’ in, how’re the both of you?” he asked, ruffling teddy’s red hair.
“good! mum—“ he stopped, “erm, i mean, auntie y/n will finally bring me to di-gonley later!”
your heart stopped for a moment when he called you ‘mum’. this hasn’t been the first time that it happened, he usually gets too preoccupied to notice, but you never mentioned it nor talked to him about it as he still missed his biological mother. “it’s diagon alley, lovey, and yes, we’ll be leaving in a few,”
you walked away from them and grabbed your purse, “go ask uncle georgie if he wants to come join.”
he beamed, grabbing george’s hands, “can you please come with us, uncle georgie? please, please, please?”
george sent him a faux look of contemplation, “hmm, i don’t know, teddy. d’you think auntie y/n will buy us some ice cream?”
teddy gasped, and wobbled his way to you, “auntie y/n! will you buy us some ice cream? uncle georgie said he’ll join if you do!”
you playfully glared at george, making him chuckle, before returning your gaze to teddy lupin, whose face was now in what you’ll describe as his, ‘i’m-a-very-adorable-boy-please-give-in’.
“oh, alright, let uncle georgie help you wear your shoes,”
as soon as the three of you were good to go, you floo’ed your way to diagon alley. you never apparated when you were with teddy, he usually gets sick when you do, so you had to fixate a floo network in your muggle flat. it was an incredible hassle, especially with muggle neighbors. you had to use multiple silencing spells while the wizards in charge were doing it.
it’s been a while since you’ve been to diagon alley, you’ve avoided it at all costs, especially after… that … anyways, teddy has been seriously adamant on going ever since george told him all about it and his shop.
you knew that you couldn’t fend it (and him) off forever, so after mustering up every courage you had, you agreed. you reckon that it was worth it, seeing your godson, the boy who made your life full of hope and happiness again, incredibly bubbly and cheerful, it eased your nerves a bit.
fred knew that his twin was off to go somewhere. george always tells him, but he never mentions where he’s going or who he’s meeting, just that he had places to be. so to busy himself, he went to florean fortescue’s ice cream parlor to cool off.
while waiting for your order of three cones of ice cream, george offered to bring teddy to flourish and bott’s since he knew how much teddy loves coloring books and bedtime storybooks.
once fred passed by the street, he opened the entrance with a satisfying ring of the welcoming bell. he breathed in the sweet smell of the countless flavors of ice cream. he scanned through the shop for a place to sit when it suddenly stopped at the sight of a familiar h/c. he froze, no, it couldn’t be, right?
“three servings of ice cream supreme for y/n!” the man hollered.
no…
you stood up and made your way towards the front, and fred had gotten a glimpse of you. you looked gorgeous, you always were, fred thought. you were using a hairband, something you used to despise as it always hurt the back of your ears, doing its job to keep your hair away from your face.
you took your order just in time to see your companions for the day, oblivious to the stare of another certain ginger.
“mum! uncle georgie bought me a new book! ‘tis about dragons!” a tiny redhead exclaimed with glee.
fred felt his heart drop, ‘mum’? ‘uncle georgie’? red hair…? again, it couldn’t be, right?
“edward remus! lower your voice, darling,” you chuckled, setting your ice creams down on your table.
“oops, sorry,” he apologized sheepishly, covering his mouth.
before you could even reply, a voice from behind you has spoken up, “erm, y/n?”
your breath hitched in your throat. “no,” you whispered.
george grimaced, grabbing your ice creams and a very confused teddy’s hand, “we’ll be at the shop if you want to leave,” he whispered to you before leaving the both of you alone (minus the parlor’s customers and employees).
you frowned, following them out, and steered away from your ex-fiancé.
“y/n, wait!” fred followed you out and grabbed your hand.
you whipped around to face him, pulling your hand away from his hold, tears pooling in your eyes, “what do you want, fred?”
“was that your kid?” he asked casually, trying to hide his nervousness.
“no- he’s teddy, lupin and tonks’ kid, i’m his godmother. he forgets that i’m not his biological mum sometimes, and if you were wondering why his hair was red, it’s because he loves george.” you said, “now, ‘m gonna ask you again, fred, what. do. you. want?”
“i- i just wanted to talk,” he mumbled, looking down at his shiny shoes to refrain from looking at your crestfallen expression.
“seriously, fred? you want to talk?” you scoffed in disbelief, “alright, let’s talk, let’s talk about how you left me, let’s talk about how you broke your promise, let’s talk about how you broke me,”
fred winced at your wavering voice, “‘m sorry, darling,”
“are you really, fred? because- because it’s been almost two years and you—“ you sighed, wiping away your tears to no avail, it’s still falling. instead, you asked him the question that’s been on your mind ever since, “why did you leave me?”
“i was scared,” he started, cracking his knuckles. a mannerism of his when he’s feeling anxious.
“scared of what exactly?” you urged, determined to know what he was so afraid of that he had to run away on your wedding day.
“of you…” he mumbled, looking up at you. he wished he hadn’t because he didn’t know it was possible for you to look even broken than before.
“me?” your voice cracked, “so it’s my fault, now?”
fred shook his head, getting frustrated at himself, “no, no. i was scared that, if you married me, you’d get hurt because i might not live up to your expectations.”
“bullshit, fred!” you cried, earning a few looks from the bystanders, you didn’t care, and nor did fred, “why? don’t you think i’m getting hurt right now?”
fred felt his tears in his eyes, “i’ve had so many doubts, so many questions, y/n,” you were about to reply when he raised hand, “and no, it wasn’t about you, just please, listen,”
he sucked in a breath, “y/n, what if i said yes?”
“we would’ve been happy, we wouldn’t be here in the first place,” you whimpered, feeling the heartbreak you’ve once experienced over and over again, “did you even really love me?”
“i did, i still do, but you deserve so much better than me, y/n” fred whispered, running a hand through his hair as he looked at you again.
you shook your head, “stop lying, fred."
“no, y/n! what if i said yes and i wouldn’t be able to keep my vows?”
“well, fred, you didn’t even get to marry me and you already broke the promise! now, tell me, did that answer your questions?” you asked, “did it, fred?”
fred let a tear fall, “no, no it didn’t. it just made me realize how hard it was to lose you,”
you sniffled, staring up at the sky to keep the tears in bay, “i loved you, fred! i loved you and you left me. i loved you… and i still do, and i hate myself for it because no matter how hard i try to convince myself that i’ve moved on, i haven’t. fred, i still look for you in everyone in hopes that i could somehow get some closure… and it doesn’t help that i see you in everything as well; i remember you when i see a plate of pancakes, knowing how you love them with chocolate, i remember you when it rains because we used to dance around in it like there’s no one around. it hurts, freddie. it hurts because i see you everywhere because we used to do everything together.”
“and i regret it, alright? i regret letting you go. it has been eating me alive ever since. i couldn’t function well without you,” he whispered, “and all i’m asking is for forgiveness, y/n.”
you just stared at him, hiccuping as you continued to cry. you wanted to leap into his warm embrace and forgive him. you wanted to take him back. you wanted to kiss him. you just wanted to be in his arms again. you just wanted to be with him again.
but he hurt you. he hurt you in many ways you’ve never expected. he broke you. the same guy who swore to your father that he’ll never hurt you. the same guy who promised to marry you and spend the rest of your life with.
fred saw the hesitation and hurt in your eyes so he sighed, “i’m sorry, goop. i’m sorry for being such a coward. i was never ready to say goodbye… i never was,” he took one last glance at you before leaving you once again.
you sobbed as you watched his figure retreat slowly. you didn’t care if there were people looking at you with concern and pity. you didn’t care if someone had accidentally bumped into you. your mind was too busy with the thoughts of fred, so you apparated back into your flat, trusting george to take care of teddy for a while.
fred’s heart broke even more as he heard your distant sob. he let the tears gathered in his eyes fall. all he wanted to do was to bring you in his arms and shower you with his love, make up for all the lost time, but he knew that he deserved the pain. he deserved it because he hurt you, he broke you, and he can never forgive himself for that.

with suit and tie, styled hair, minimal makeup, and a heavy name on his back, jisung realized he could not do it. he could not bring himself to enter the main scene of high school prom.
nervous sweat drenched his hands and he hastily wiped away at the side of his hips. the blinking neon lights coming through the small windows of the assembly hall doors, and the loud blasty music that belonged to none other than his very own idol group made him feel isolated in this dark, empty school hallway he has barely walked across since he got accepted into the school.
there was no point in this. there was no point in attending. donghyuck had encouraged him the most when he was debating whether he wanted to go to prom; he said it could help with blowing off some steam, and there might even be a possibility of meeting someone eccentric, like how he did when he decided to attend prom two years back. jisung had believed him, and now he realized he should not have.
he barely attended school because of his conflicting schedule as a worldwide idol. logically speaking, he shouldn't even be allowed to graduate with the number of absences in his record, but he did so with flying colors anyway. he was everyone's friend and he has no friends; there would be no one to talk to inside, and the clear superiority in accomplishment he held might make things embarrassing and awkward for him.
he understood why donghyuck would deem his experience at his prom great. it was because he knew how to talk, he knew how to charm, and he was never shy around people. jisung believed his story when he talked about the student he frantically danced with under artificial lights. for donghyuck, having met someone eccentric was merely a fortunate coincidence, if not a miracle that he met someone exactly like him.
jisung was nothing like that. he knew he was nothing like that. dealing with strangers, let alone the mysteriously off ones, was never his forte. he would just make a fool of himself, he would not be having a good time.
going to prom was a bad idea. he should leave.
"jesus–watch it!"
"ah..." his voice dimmed as he immediately turned toward the direction of where the explosive voice came from. his hurrying steps halted to a stumble before a stop, and he eyed you up and down carefully before he dipped his head. "sorry... i–i didn't mean to scare you."
"i wasn't scared, just startled," you retorted quickly, but your voice was much calmer than your initial snap. tapping the lit cigarette in your hand lightly with your index finger, you mumbled as you eyed him with mild curiosity after your angry brows faded, "you came out in a hurry. forgot you had an award show to attend to, hmm?"
"oh–no, it's not that–" jisung paused abruptly, he wasn't sure why. when you raised a brow at him, almost impatiently it seemed, he gulped down a nervous knot and scratched the back of his head. "sorry, i just.. i didn't think you would know me."
you blinked at him as you swiped your tongue against your teeth, clicking with what jisung could not tell was menace or disinterest. either way, they were both bad. taking a short puff of the cigarette, you exhaled a cloud of smoke before you mused, "who said i know you, park jisung?"
he gulped, visibly distraught and confused.
"you just said–"
"i just what?"
he gulped again when his meek sentence was cut off so quickly. not even his brothers have interrupted him like this before, at least not with the genuine intention to anyway. it seemed that at this moment, he further came to the realization just how well he was taken care of by everyone around him, because could such a simple jab to a social interaction cause him such anxiety if he was used to it?
(he was glad he wasn't used to it.)
"what is a hotshot like you doing here anyway?" you fired the sudden question, looking to him with intrigue.
you were never one to engage in idol activities. you weren't even in this school to become an artist; you were forced here by your parents who stood somewhere in the industry. one day they realized you had the voice and the range to deserve the spotlight, and here you were stuck in those shit-ugly, overdue-banana-colored uniforms, trying to be a star you didn't want to be.
but jisung—you knew jisung. everybody knew jisung. your classmates, the teachers, that random american tourist who asked you for directions in the street, that kpop warrior online who kept screenshots of netizen articles and translating them out of context. everybody knew jisung, but very few knew him enough.
you didn't care much for him, but your curiosity just had to be fulfilled now that you were seeing him in person. what was he doing here, in a suit and sweating through his hair? did he always talked this shyly or was it your typical idol persona act? were you scaring him and should you do it even more to purposefully leave a bad impression?
your stare was confronting in this silence. granted, it was his turn to speak, so he was at blame for your lingering gaze on him. "i thought... i thought maybe i could go to prom," he finally replied quietly.
you hummed in acknowledgment, then you tilted your head. you looked behind your shoulder into the school, your eyes briefly grazing past the colorful doors that were the entrance to literal teenage hell, and you jabbed your thumb toward the direction. "prom is that way, though, dumbo."
"i know that," jisung said, embarrassed. "i just... i don't have friends."
you laughed, and once again jisung couldn't tell if you were genuinely amused or it was a response of mockery. inhaling carefully, you longing exhaled the smoke as your dazed eyes looked past him, with a smile so vague it seemed unnatural.
"what are you talking about? you've got friends. you got friends everywhere!"
"i... i don't?"
"sure you do!" you exclaimed boldly as you stretched your arms out to the sky, eyes ablaze at the stars above. "they are everywhere for you, jisung. you got friends everywhere because everyone wants to be your friend. you have options, you are just not taking them!"
"but they're not–" he licked his lower lip nervously, feeling a sense of sorrow cast over him upon the teenage loneliness he gained in trade for his success. "they're not real friends."
you paused.
real friends?
you paused; motions stopped, arms empty without strength, and eyes hallow with confused questioning. you stared at jisung as if he was a foreign creature who had said something absurd, so absurd you had to decide whether you wanted to ridicule him or interrogate him first.
what are real friends, anyway?
people who love you but do nothing about it, people who say they love you but do not, people who act upon loving you but do not? people who leave you alone at a bad time because you asked them to, people who would not leave you alone at a bad time even if you asked them to, people who knew how to juggle in between? people who comfort you because they understood you, people who advise because they could not understand you, people who try to relate to you because it was what they knew to be comfortable?
which one of those was real? were any of them fake simply because you didn't like it? when did you get crowned the decision-maker?
what are real friends, anyway? why does it matter, anyway?
why does truth matter if the lies treat you so well?
when you made up your mind to do both, you began to move fluidly again. your lips opened to breathe, and you chuckled sardonically at his naivety.
"what do you need the realness for? lies are lies only if it bothers you, essentially meaning you don't really need the absence of lies," you said. "who cares about real friends, you just need friends. don't you think you are expecting too much from humanity?"
there was sympathy in jisung that he did not know had risen. the basis of the situation, of why you came to the conclusion that people were less than gentle and kind, he knew nothing of but he was sorry for. whether something has happened in your life, or if you simply grew to be cynical, the lack of tiny joys in life must be a terrible feast.
he also knew he hasn't the energy and wit to argue himself to victory; his humanism, the desire to prove that people are good because his people have been good, would not be enough to shake you.
"shouldn't you stop smoking?" he asked, promptly changing the subject.
you removed the cigarette from your mouth, brows furrowed in annoyance now that the attention was directed toward you. you exhaled the smoke slowly from your throat, and you tilted your head up to the sky where you gently said, "maybe not. i just can't seem to die."
your god-given voice just wouldn't let off.
"do you plan to go back in after then? smelling like smoke?" he asked.
"don't mock me boy." you grinned with a glare hanging off the corner of your mouth. "and no, i am not going back in. i don't have friends, but unlike you, i just don't have friends because i am a raging asshole."
jisung finally breathed out a giggle, but it was abruptly short. he covered his mouth and lowered his head, only peeking up at you occasionally. "well, if it's any consolation, i don't think you're all that bad."
your eyes fluttered as you silently tapped your cigarette. he was just as you expected but a little more. you could understand why people like him so much now; his innocence wasn’t a drag, it was a charm.
you gave him a silent but thankful smile before you looked away. "yeah. thanks."
jisung thought you looked less angry now; eyes at the stars, wishful and longing to be above. the blush that blossomed on his cheeks remained despite the faded nervousness, maybe it was because he felt a fondness toward you he usually wouldn't toward the people he spend his time around; you were a classmate, someone his age, someone who could understand him if allowed.
an eccentric stranger that donghyuck suspected he might meet.
maybe it was a good idea that he never went to prom.

The Drunken Vow - Tears of Themis
Number 3 in the "Drunk Wedding" series, here's Marius.
Wow. The hammer smashing repeatedly into his head was a real pain.
Marius didn’t want to so much as move despite knowing he had to. It took him a hot minute to realize the reason he felt like he’d been hit by a truck was because he was hungover to high heaven and back. He cursed himself. Normally, he was far better at pacing himself so he doesn’t get trashed like this, and yet, here he was. Must have made a drinking exception last night for his graduation party.
When the bright idea lingered in his head that maybe he should go grab some aspirin, he took hold of it. Though, it did take him another minute to get up.
And when he did, he realized he wasn’t the only person in bed. His heart stopped.
What did he dooooo?
He didn’t want to look. He so did not want to look at the woman he brought home with him. What in the hell was he thinking?
Had he been thinking?
Probably not.
But still, he wouldn’t do that! At least, he thought he would never stoop that low. Besides he was in love with Rosa. He wouldn’t chose any other girl beside her.
Right?
With a groan, he fell back on his pillow, shutting his eyes and cursing himself for the second time this morning. He was a total piece of trash. Either that, or he was drunk enough to be swayed by some girl who took advantage of his inebriated state to get with him. There were a lot of those types of girls; another reason he tried to limit his drinks.
He rubbed his eyes, only to feel something metallic slide across his face. He barely registered it, but it was enough to make him look at his hands. When he caught sight of a ring on his left hand, he narrowed his eyes down at the unfamiliar band. He didn’t recall wearing any last night. So why…
Oh.
Oh…
Um… does the wedding ring go on the left hand? It was the left, right? Or was it the right?
He couldn’t think straight.
Steeling himself, he decided that he not only had to see just who was beside him in bed, but whether she was wearing a ring or not. Because if she was…
He didn’t want to think about it.
He turned his head, looking at the girl. Her back was to him; her nearly bare back, he realized. The covers had sunk down her shoulders to reveal the fact he could only see her in her underwear. Which started up a whole new round of blushing for Marius. How far did they go last night? Because for the life of him, he honestly could not remember.
After taking a breath, he forced himself up on his elbow so as to get a better look at the petite brunette beside him. As he pulled the sheet back up over her shoulders to preserve her modesty, he took a look at her face—
And dropped the sheet.
That was his beloved Rosa…
Oh, shhhh—
Frozen in place, his mind had come to a screeching halt. Rosa was in bed with him, they were both nearly naked, and yes, they both had rings. Plain gold bands, but there was no denying that they weren’t matching wedding rings.
Meaning they got married last night?
How could that have even happened? While Marius may have called it a graduation party, it was hardly anything of the sort: a couple of his college friends, their girlfriends, and Rosa, who he’d begged to come with him. They were all being responsible, right?
Right?
For the life of him he could not remember.
With a sigh, he rolled back onto his back and stared blankly up at the ceiling. Lifting up his hand, he stared at the ring, and a wave of disappointment hit him like a truck. He’d wanted this. He’d really wanted this, being married to Rosa. But not like this. He had been still trying to convince her to go out with him in the first place. Whether or not last night could be classified as their “first date” when it was really just a “fake date to dissuade any ribbing from his not-single friends” was still up for debate. He had been so close to asking her out for real, but just as he always did, he somehow chickened out and put up that too-flirty persona before cursing himself for it.
He let his hand drop, his arm now covering his face as he let loose a tired groan. Geez, he was an idiot.
“Marius?”
The sweet voice rang from beside him had him tensing up again. He lifted his arm from his head, squinting at the sudden reintroduction of light to his eyes as he looked over at Rosa who was now looking over at him with wide eyes.
He wanted to flirt, to do something, anything, to loosen the intense tension between them. But this was the one time he really couldn’t string anything together. He blamed it on the hangover. “Er… hi?”
Was she blushing? He was pretty sure she was blushing as she clutched the sheets against her chest and turned over to face him. “H-hey.”
Wow, this was so awkward. “Umm…” he started stupidly. “Uh… I think… did we get married last night?”
Rosa’s eyes could rival saucers with how wide they got. “What?”
This time, Marius forced a smile while he raised his left hand and pointed to the ring on it. “You’re in one, too.”
Her wide eyes shot down to her left hand. She blinked once. Twice.
“Holy cats, I’m Mrs. Von Hagen!”
…
Fifteen minutes later, they had gotten dressed and were now in the kitchen, staring at the marriage certificate Marius had found crumpled in the back of his discarded pants pocket. The smell of coffee that Rosa had started permeated the kitchen, and frankly, Marius was dying for a cup. Between the hangover and the headache from his drunk marriage, he really needed the caffeine. And maybe an aspirin.
Beside him, also staring at the offending document, Rosa was standing in clothes she’d stolen from his closet and somehow looked better in than he ever could. Marius, on the other hand, had barely enough wits about him to throw on a pair of comfortable pants and plain tee shirt.
“This… it’s legal, isn’t it?” Marius asked despite all ready knowing the answer.
She nodded. “Yeah. It means we’re legally married.”
Guilt wracked him even more. This wasn’t how he wanted to go about things. At the very least, he actually wanted to remember getting married. Best he could recall was his graduation party had gotten very out of hand and he’d allowed himself far too many drinks. Rosa then recalled leaving with him in a taxi, and she was pretty sure she remembered kissing him—which had sent Marius into a blushing panic because why couldn’t he remember THAT sweet memory?—but that was the extent of it. What had happened after that was something neither Rosa nor Marius could recall.
“I’m shocked at you.”
Marius glanced over to the girl giving him a confused look. “What?”
“You haven’t cracked one inappropriate joke yet.”
Though stunned for a second, he let out a self-depreciating chuckle before shooting her a forced smile. “Sorry, Miss Attorney. Or should I say Mrs. Attorney. Guess the shock of being married to you has really gotten to my head.”
“There we go,” she said with a wink.
She was going to kill him, but he would at least go down smiling albeit hopelessly embarrassed. “I’m more concerned for what we’re going to do about… this.” He pushed the paper over to her.
She giggled as she straightened the paper out in front of her. “I’m surprised you didn’t even suggest ‘hey, let’s just stay married’.”
He huffed, running a hand through is messy hair. “Like you’d go for that.”
“I totally would.”
He froze. Wait… what?
Looking over at Rosa, who was smiling at him with a feisty twinkle in her eye that he loved more than anything, Marius’ heart began to beat wildly. “You serious?”
“What do you think?”
He thought that if she was serious, he would die of happiness. He’d been trying to figure out how to best ask her out, seeing as all his previous attempts had been thwarted. There may or may not have been a painting he’d been working on as a gift to present to her that may or may not have just been an excuse to avoid figuring out just how to sincerely ask her out. Because he really didn’t want to mess it up.
But now… Now it felt like all that work flew straight out the window because…
“Earth to Marius.”
He blinked a couple times. “Huh?”
“I asked you a question.”
He gaped like a fish as his mind scrambled back to what she’d asked. “Do… you mean it?”
She grinned. “Geez, normally you’re the one who’s all cocky, but look at you now. Apparently, I just have to suggest I might want to stay married to—whaaa!!”
He didn’t let her finish. He swooped her up and set her back on the kitchen counter, trapping her in with his arms. “No, really. Do you mean it?”
“Do I mean what?” she asked, clearly a little dazed at their position.
But he didn’t really care, for once. Instead, he was inwardly freaking out over the possibility that she actually did care for him as much as he did her. “That you’d want to stay married?”
She blinked up at him a couple times before a smile crossed her face. “I do.”
That was all he needed to hear. In a second, he wrapped her up in a hug, garnering a squeak from her as he pushed her back and pinned her fully against the kitchen counter. “You really mean it?” he asked again, desperate to make sure. Because if she really did, he was never going to let her go.
His racing heart somehow settled when she wrapped her arms over his shoulders. “Yeah,” she said, voice sweeter than any dessert he’d ever eaten in his life. “I do. I mean, I didn’t think it would go like this, but—”
“Doesn’t matter,” he cut in, squeezing her tighter. “That’s all I needed to know.”
She giggled, saying nothing and just holding him tighter.
“Wait!” he realized, his foggy mind making it extremely difficult to string his thoughts together. “This means I can kiss you now!”
She blinked up at him before bursting into laughter. “Yes, it does, Mr. Von Ha—mphfff!”
He didn’t give her a chance to finish. He wanted to kiss her, and seeing as she was his wife—his wife!—now, he could do that.
This was really exciting. So exciting that not even the beep of the coffee machine announcing the coffee was finished could pull him away. He had a better drug now than caffeine, anyway.
She pulled away first, and he pouted at the loss.
“Much as I’d love to continue,” she said. “Can it be somewhere more comfortable than the granite countertop?”
Oh… “Sorry,” he said, a bit of guilt slipping in as he picked her up and set her back down on the floor. Or, tried to, anyway. She seemed more than happy to wrap her legs around his waist and cling to him for dear life.
“This is okay,” she murmured into his shoulder.
Yes, he thought, happily tightening his hold on her as he made his way to the couch. Yes, it was.
…
By noon, Marius was freaking out again. For totally valid reasons, he believed, so he really hoped Rosa would stop laughing at him.
“I’m serious!” he cried, pouting. “Do you want a real wedding or not?”
“Marius, calm down, will you? You just spent the last ten minutes obsessing over getting me a new ring—”
“Because you deserve it! I don’t even remember buying you that one, and I didn’t even get you an engagement ring, so can’t I do that?”
“I’ll let you, but not today,” she said, grabbing his phone from him.
“Hey!”
“Mr. Von Hagan,” she said, shooting him a stern look. “As your wife, it is my job to—”
“Wait! You’re my wife now!”
She leveled him with a tired look.
“Do you want to take my last name! Because then we have to get the paperwork for that. And we’ll also have to turn in the certificate, right? And wait a minute! You’ll have to move in! We’ll have to get movers and pack all your stuff and—”
“Marius!”
She slammed her hands down on the armrests of the chair he was sitting in, glaring at him with a look he knew full well meant “stop it.” “Calm down,” she said. “One step at a time, right? You don’t have to fix everything now, okay?”
He wasn’t convinced.
She sighed, hanging her head in exhaustion. “Ugh, I liked it better when you were annoyingly flirty,” she grumbled. When she lifted her head, her stern expression had faded into something softer. “Can’t we just enjoy today and figure things out as we go?”
He supposed they could, but he also didn’t want things to take forever. If she was going to be his wife, he wanted her here with him. Furthermore, he wanted everyone to know she was his…
Wait.
He shot into a panic for the umpteenth time that morning. “The media! I’ll have to call Vincent right now and tell him to pressure the news to tamp this down!”
“Unless they caught wind of it already,” Rosa grumbled.
But clearly she hadn’t even been aware of what came out of her own mouth because it took both of them approximately ten seconds to realize just what had been said.
And how likely it was.
With a new weight on his shoulders, Marius sank back into his chair with a groan. His first day of being married, and he couldn’t even enjoy it.

Fool
Kung Lao x Fem!Reader
Warning: Contains major spoilers from Mortal Kombat 9, including quotes from the actual script. :) kinda follows the canon but also doesn’t considering this is an x reader ‼️Not Proof read yet‼️

AN: words of affirmation and acts of service love language goes brrrrr
Summary: Kung Lao is devastated that his best friend and the girl he loves get to complete in the tournament without him, so he does what any sane person does: sneaks his way onto the island and challenges Scorpion in an attempt to impress the reader :D
“We’ll be back before you know it, Lao.” (Y/n) said, placing a hand on Kung Lao’s shoulder.
He chuckled nervously and nodded, trying his best to seem at ease but the uncertainty in his eyes gave it all away. It didn’t matter how long they trained or how prepared the elder monks thought (Y/n) and Liu Kang were. (Y/n)’s attempts at comforting the young man were fruitless.
It wasn’t just that he was worried for his childhood friends’ safety. There was no denying that was definitely one of the reasons he was reluctant to see them off, but aside from that he was envious. And how could he not be? The two of them were chosen by the elder monks to represent their section in the tournament where some the greatest fighters would be present.
Sure, he always knew the elder monks would choose (Y/n). She was the perfect fighter in his eyes. (Y/n) was clever, cunning, and quick on her feet. It just made sense that she’d be the first choice.
However, that left that second slot open for debate, and the primary candidates were Liu and Lao. Now Kung Lao promised himself that no matter what the elder monks decided, he wouldn’t let that drive a wedge in his relationship with his cousin, and he’d been fairly true to his word so far. He was proud of Liu, really.
But time went on and Raiden suggested that it’d be best for Liu and (Y/n) to train together in private, allowing them to grow accustomed to each other’s moves, strengths, and weaknesses. This would come in handy if the two of them should ever find themselves in a position in which they had to fight opponents together. Of course, Liu and (Y/n) already had established a close friendship, but there was nothing wrong with a little refining.
Lao had no problem with this, that is, until the tournament grew closer, and he began to see less and less of the duo. (Y/n) in particular almost seemed to be avoiding him, but Kung Lao knew her better than to assume that was the case. Yes, Liu Kang and (Y/n) were close, but not as close as Kung Lao and (Y/n). The three of them were the best of friends since childhood, but Lao always felt like there was something special between him and (Y/n) that just wasn’t present in her relationship with Liu.
(Y/n) had her fair share of sneaking out, having midnight conversations, and causing mischief amongst the other pupils, with Liu, sure, but it was Kung Lao she always turned to when in need of comfort. Somehow (Y/n) preferred to talk about her problems with Lao, and boy did he love it when she did. It was like seeing a completely gentler, more authentic side of her.
Because of this, Lao simply noticed things about (Y/n) no one else did. He knew what made her happy, and when one night she expressed how anxious training made her, he began to go out of his way to do some of her daily chores along with his own or do little things such as make her a snack. Of course, his pride would never allow his to flat out tell her he’d be doing all of this just because.
No, it was always,
“I just happened to make too much to eat by myself.”
Or
“Don’t look too deep into it. If I didn’t do your laundry for you, you’d probably let it lay around your room. Then you’d have nothing clean to wear and you’d start stealing my clothes.”
Soon enough, Lao’s thoughts were flooded with nothing but (Y/n), and everyday he was forced to remember that she and Liu Kang were spending more and more time together, and eventually would be sent off to potentially die. This not only rubbed salt in the wound of not being chosen, but created a new fear for the poor young man.
God, what if (Y/n)’s opponent didn’t spare her? Would Liu Kang or Raiden interject? Kung Lao knew he would. He’d do anything to keep her safe. Hell, he’d throw away his pride and get on his hands and knees to beg if it meant saving (Y/n).
Was that why Liu Kang was chosen and not him? Because he was a better match for (Y/n)? Did the elder monks think he was more capable than him than much? Or was it (Y/n) who chose Liu Kang to fight beside her?
Now here he stood before her, soaking in her presence potentially for the last time. (Y/n)’s hand lingered on his shoulder a little longer, then she signed and took both of his hands in her own.
“What is it?” She asked, looking up expectantly.
Lao blinked, “What?”
“You’ve got that look on your face. Y’know the one that screams ‘I’ve got something to say, but I’m a wuss so instead I’m going to dwell in my room immediately after you leave,’” (Y/n) teased.
Lao half smiled and pulled his arms away. “It’s nothing, I’m just worried for you two.”
(Y/n)’s face softened and she offered him a small smile. “Hey, don’t worry about me. Liu Kang’s bad temper, maybe, but I’m sure I’ll be okay out there.” She opened her arms and embraced Lao, which he quickly accepted.
“After all,” (Y/n) said pulling away slightly and flicking the tip of Kung Lao’s hat, “I trained with the best.”
“We’ve got to get going!” Liu called out from a few feet away at the enterance of the temple.
With that, she placed a small kiss on Lao’s cheek and ran off to join him and Raiden.
“You better return in one piece!” Kung Lao called out jokingly.
“If I don’t, you better build me a cooler body!” (Y/n) laughed, waving her hand over her head.
With a flash of light, the three of them were gone.
___
So far the introduction to the tournament was running smoothly. (Y/n) had managed to hold pleasant conversations with a few other competitors, including one by the name Johnny Cage. (much to Liu Kang’s distain. Apparently Johnny had accidentally disrespected Raiden and was under the impression that everyone there was just really into roleplay. But aside from being a little arrogant, (Y/n) didn’t mind him.)
(Y/n) had been selected to do a quick demonstration fight against none other than Princess Kitana, who put up a good fight but in the end didn’t stand a chance against her. While the princess laid half on the ground, (Y/n) was given the option to either finish her off or spare her. Despite (Y/n) choosing mercy, Kitana didn’t take this defeat well, but did her best to maintain her composure as the two retreated inside to tend to their wounds.
“...Why did you—,” Kitana began in a low whisper. (Y/n) turned to her and helped her hand, palm out, in front of her chest.
“You’re an excellent fighter. One with true talent, princess, believe me.” (Y/n) chuckled, “To take a life such as yours would be a waste. Don’t let one little defeat become a deterrence.”
The ghost of a smile graced Kitana’s lips. “You know, you’re a fool to be so kind to your enemies. The next time we meet might not be under such pleasant circumstances.”
(Y/n) huffed, “A fool, yes, but at the very least I’ll be remembered for it.”
———
The fighting continued on without the two girls for a while until Shang Tsung granted an intercession. (Y/n) made her way to Liu Kang’s side and nodded at him. He glanced down at her neatly bandaged hands and huffed in amusement, knowing damn well that when they returned home, his companion planned on showing off her “battle scars” to Kung Lao in an attempt to impress him. As they waited for the next match to begin, Liu Kang filled her in on what she’d missed during the Johnny Cage versus Reptile fight.
“I wish you could of been here to see it, (Y/n). I got second hand embarrassment from how arrogant he sounded.” Liu rolled his eyes.
(Y/n) stifled a giggle and covered her smile with her hand, but as she did this, she noticed one particular bodyguard’s eyes watching her intently from behind his helmet.
He was a bit of a distance away, but somehow it felt like his stare was burning through (Y/n)’s skull, and the very thought of that sent a chill down her spine. She awkwardly cleared her throat and turned to face the other direction, her fingers slightly latching onto Liu Kang’s arm defensively.
The rest of the day was nothing short of eventful. Raiden had requested that she accompanied him into the underground sections of the island, where she became acquainted with Sonya Blade and Jax, and even got to witness Sonya fight a man named Kano. Johnny Cage and Liu Kang eventually joined them, and there they established a sort of team while Raiden explained the severity of losing the tournament.
Afterwards Sonya and (Y/n) parted ways with the men and accompanied each other to their designated bedrooms, which, luckily, were located across from each other. As they walked, the two women got to know each other a little better. Sonya told (Y/n) more about how she came to meet Jax, her life in the army, and how she eventually ended up on the island. In turn, (Y/n) told her about her life with the White Lotus Society and Raiden. They went back and forth, trading silly childhood and training tales until they came across a certain mural in one of the main hallways.
(Y/n) paused in front of it and smiled fondly at the depiction of a man standing victoriously over his enemy on a great cliff or something of the sort.
She turned to Sonya and smiled excitedly. “The Great Kung Lao,” she explained, “He’s a legend back home. Truly one of the greatest fighters the White Lotus ever produced.”
She proceeded to retell the story of Kung Lao’s victories back in the day, and Sonya listened intently.
“So that’s your motive then, huh?” Sonya chuckled.
(Y/n) raised an eyebrow, “What do you mean?”
“Well I’ve got my mission to save Jax, Cage wants his fame... what about you? What’s your motive? Aside from the monks selecting you, that is.”
(Y/n) glanced back up at the mural, then back to Sonya. “A descendent of his— the great Kung Lao, I mean.” Suddenly (Y/n) felt incredibly shy and began to fiddle with her hands.
“Liu Kang?” Sonya tilted her head.
“No!” (Y/n) exclaimed, laughing slightly, “A friend of ours, actually.” As she spoke, her tone was laced with a certain fondness.
Sonya smiled, “A friend?”
“Yes, Miss Blade. A friend. Anyways, he helped me create all of my best moves. I hate to admit it, but I basically modeled my fighting style after what he taught me when we were kids.” (Y/n) faintly blushed and smiled to herself.
“So... that’s it then? You want to impress him?”
“I mean— I just—,” (Y/n) struggled to find words, “I mean of course that’s not all of it. Of course I’m here to protect the Earthrealm first, but...”
She glanced up at the mural once more.
“I don’t know, I want him to see how much I’ve improved recently.”
Truth be told, (Y/n) had always admired Kung Lao growing up, but it wasn’t until around their late teens or early twenties that she’d began to admire him a little more than usual. And because of that she’d begun to lose her focus around him. Sure, he had always been terribly strong, smart, and witty beyond compare, but as they grew (Y/n) began to notice how charming he was or how nice he looked without his gear on.
Or even how differently he treated her compared to everyone else.
———
The next day the fighters returned to the island’s arena. Shang Tsung and the monks took to their spots while Quan Chi stood at the foot of the throne.
Liu Kang and (Y/n) exchanged anxious glances At eachother. After the events of last night, (Y/n) could tell her friend’s nerves were a little shaken, despite how composed he seemed. She silently patted his back as a masked guard crossed his arms and moved a little closer to where they stood with Raiden.
“Kombatants! the next match will now begin!”
In a burst of flames, Scorpion teleported into the center of the arena. Everyone gasped in awe, and (Y/n) and Liu Kang shared looks of pure admiration.
“Scorpion!” Shang Tsung called out, “Specter of the Netherrealm! Resurrected by the sorcerer Quan Chi! Who among you is worthy of this challenge?”
“Where is the Lin Kuei Sub-Zero? He killed my family and clan. I will have his head!” The masked man snarled.
Without order, the mask guard standing closest to Raiden promptly walked to the center with Scorpion, discarding his mask and armor as he went.
“I accept the challenge!”
(Y/n)’s face fell. She knew that voice, and it definitely wasn’t Sub-Zero. She looked up at Liu with a worried expression, and he returned her stare with his own.
“Kung Lao?” He whispered as he turned back to the two men standing before them.
“Nevermind the Lin Kuei. Now you face a Shaolin.” He announced.
“Kung Lao, what are you doing here?” (Y/n) muttered under her breath.
The man ran two fingers over the brim of his razor sharp hat and turned his vision toward where (Y/n) stood with Raiden and Liu Kang. He pointed directly at the girl.
“(Y/n).”
Oh god.
“I dedicate my soon to be victory to you, my most prized companion.” He said firmly.
She looked around the arena at the other fighters with a mortified expression and caught Sonya and Johnny hiding their smiles under their hands.
“Please don’t do this, Kung Lao.” (Y/n) begged, sweat beginning to form on her temple from the sudden embarrassment she was feeling.
“It has to be done.” He said, assuming a fighting stance.
“All this nonesense to impress (Y/n) (L/n),” Scorpion huffed, “You will regret your impulsiveness.”
The fight commences, and although Kung Lao is a master of the Shaolin arts and a great fighter, his attempt at overpowering someone who’s spent years trapped in the Neatherrealm soon proved to be futile. (Y/n) could feel herself cringe at every severe blow Scorpion landed to Lao’s torso until he ultimately beat him into an unconscious state on the floor.
(Y/n) tore away from the crowd and rushed to Lao’s side, swiftly but gently lifting his torso onto her lap, cradling his head in her arms as his hat laid in the dirt beside them. Scorpion looked down at her, the pity in his eyes seemed almost unbearable to (Y/n).
“He is not yet a warrior. I apologize, (L/n), I did not mean to cause you embarrassment.” He nodded.
(Y/n) shook her head and let out a small laugh. “Don’t be sorry, Scorpion. There’s no bad blood between us.”
“Kung Lao!” Liu cried out shortly after as he jogged over to aid them.
He thre Kung Lao’s arm over his shoulder and housed him up, carrying him out of the arena as Lao came to. Raiden and (Y/n) followed shortly behind.
“Listen when your elders speak!” He scolded, “You could not win this fight! And lost it at the expense of both you and dear (Y/n)’s expense!”
“Master, please, that’s enough. He meant no harm.” (Y/n) defended as they entered the main hall.
Raiden sighed angrily, “Take him to the nursery and get him cleaned up.” With that, he turned back around.
———
“Are you sure you want to tend to his wounds by yourself? It’d go a lot faster with my help...” Liu Kang said as he stood in the doorway.
“It’s fine, Liu,” (Y/n) waved him off, “It’d look bad if both of us weren’t present during today’s fights.”
(Y/n) turned around and subtly motioned to Kung Lao, who was spread out on a bench, and shot Liu an expecting look that said, ‘Get out, dumbass, I want to speak with him in private.’
Liu Kang mouthed a silent ‘oh,’ in realization and nodded. “I’ll leave you to it, then. Take care of him, and I’ll be back later to check on the two of you.”
He eagerly left the room and shut the door behind him, leaving the two together in awkward silence.
(Y/n) sighed and turned to the cabinets to retrieve a towel and bandages.
Kung Lao sat up and huffed in annoyance, “Why must the two of you talk about me as if I’m not here, (Y/n)? I’m perfectly capable of tending to myself, you don’t have to stay.”
(Y/n) furrowed her eyebrows together but said nothing. She continued on gathering her materials and laid them out on the counter beside them.
“Are you upset with me? Is that what this is?”
Still nothing.
“What? Do you want me to apologize? Look, I’m sorry if I embarrassed you, (Y/n)—,”
“Why are you here, Lao!?” She interrupted sharply.
He scoffed, “Proving I’m equivalent to Liu Kang.”
(Y/n) shook her head angrily. “Why!?” She dipped her small towel in a bowl of water and squeezed it. “You don’t have to prove anything, I don’t understand.”
“Of course you don’t—,”
“Then help me here, Lao. Explain— Did Raiden... or the elder monks— did they say something to you?”
“That’s not it.” He glanced down.
“Did something happen? I don’t—,”
“It’s you, (Y/n). You’re the reason.” He blurted.
The room was silent again.
“Oh.”
(Y/n) slowly turned around and made her way over to Kung Lao, beckoning for him to give her his arm. She avoided his gaze as she placed the damp towel over a large gash in his shoulder.
“I’m very sorry then... Whatever I did, I didn’t mean to make you feel this way.” The heartbreak in her tone was prominent.
Kung Lao sighed, “No— sorry, I didn’t mean it like that. It’s my fault.”
(Y/n) paused, “What do you mean?”
Lao timidly placed a hand on her shoulder. (Y/n) looked up at him in confusion and scanned his face. He was giving her the same look he had on the morning she left for the tournament. The one that made it seem like he desperately wanted to say something but didn’t know how, or couldn’t muster up the courage to flat out say it.
Kung Lao groaned and burried his face in her other shoulder.
“I like you.” He mumbled, “There, I finally said it. It’s foolish, isn’t it? That I did all of this just because I wanted you to admire me back? I knew the elder monks didn’t choose me for a reason. I’m sure I couldn’t have handled the tournament, anyways—,”
“That’s not it at all!” (Y/n) cried, gingerly wrapping her arms around his torso, “It’s my fault you weren’t chosen, I’m sure of it.”
“I don’t understand,” He said, looking up.
(Y/n) sighed, “It was originally supposed to be us two. At the tournament, I mean. The elders said our fighting styles complimented eachother the most out of the three of us. But then I started to slip up during training whenever you were around. I’m sorry, I thought they’d replace me with Liu Kang, but—,”
“They replaced me instead...” Kung Lao finished.
“You are no lesser of a great fighter than Liu Kang. It truly is my fault, Lao.” (Y/n) confessed.
Kung Lao blinked and was silent for a moment. “So... you were slipping up because...?” A cheeky smile slowly made its way onto his face.
(Y/n) signed and hid her face in the crook of his neck.
“I like you too, you idiot monk. I always have.”
Kung Lao laughed, “Why didn’t you tell me!?”
“What didn’t you tell me!?” (Y/n) argued playfully.
“What? Was doing all your chores and things not enough of a sign for you?”
“Well, clearly they weren’t. Otherwise I wouldn’t have been so stressed over the matter.”
“Oh goodness...” Kung Lao chuckled.
They two sat there, holding each other, for a moment until (Y/n) pulled away.
“I have to finish cleaning your wounds, Lao.”
He nodded and sat up straight, removing his shirt so (Y/n) could clean the wounds on his chest.
As he looked down at her hands, gently pressing the towel to his wounds, applying the medicine where needed, and wrapping them up neatly, his eyes couldn’t help but trail over her lips. This wasn’t the first time, naturally, but know that he had confirmation that she was finally his...
He swooped down and captured her hips with his in a chaste but sweet kiss that lasted no more than a few seconds. (Y/n) stared up at him in surprise.
“Too soon?” He half laughed.
She shook her head, “Not at all.” (Y/n) wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him back down for a real kiss.
Their lips locked softly once again, and the two of them could feel the sense of pure joy and excitement building up in their chests. (Y/n)’s eyes fluttered closed as Kung Lao deepened the kiss. As Lao moved his lips against hers, it tasted sort of metallic from the dried blood that remained on Lao’s lips beforehand, but (Y/n) didn’t seem to mind.
When they finally pulled away, Kung Lao rested chin on top of (Y/n)’s head.
“You’re a fool, Kung Lao,” (Y/n) said endearingly.
He kissed her hair and let out a small laugh.
“For you, perhaps.”

JAY HALSTEAD
Cold Coffee

Requested: yes
Prompts: none
Warning(s): none
Author's note: I had a hard time figuring out what exactly you wanted me to write about. I'm pretty sure I changed the ask a lot because I didn't understand it. Sorry!
~
You pursed your lips with hands on your hips and glared at the man in front of you. Or behind you; at least that's where he was before you had turned to him.
"Do you mind?" You asked coldly. "I can practically feel you breathing down on my ear. There's plenty of space, man, you don't need to be cooped up behind me."
The young man behind you looked all but surprised at your words. He glanced at you with doe green eyes that were hidden beneath a fringe of dark hair he had been running his hand through for the last 2 minutes.
You pretended not to recognize him and instead chose this moment to talk to him for the very first time.
Or warn him, so to speak.
You took note of his clothes while at it. They were wrinkled in all the wrong places, almost as if he didn't have time to iron them this morning.
Like he was late for something.
You shook your head and turned back around, instinctively taking a step away from him. The coffee shop was cloistered, so many tables and so little room, but that was part of its charm. You lacked clothing and weren't dressed for the occasion that was winter, so you stood there in the line, hoping to store enough of the shop's warmth before you run out and make a dash for your boyfriend's car.
"Y/N have you gone mad?" A sweet voice interjected, breaking apart your dazed thoughts with its bubbly tone. Your face reddened from the attention and warmth that had merged to torture you. "It's 17 °F outside, and you're walking around all dolled up like it's spring!"
You giggled and proceeded to order two coffees like you had first planned to do.
Your favorite bartender raised both eyebrows at you, urging you to speak while both of you wait for your coffee. "First of all, I'm not dolled up."
He shook his head and smirked, ready to make your words die right on your tongue. "Girl… That white t-shirt, which by the way, I know it's not yours, screams I had it so good last night that I didn't even bother with my clothes because I know I look better without them. And that's hot by the way."
The wink he gave you was the cherry on top, and you stifled your laughter with the back of your cold palm in embarrassment.
"What the hell is going on?" A gruff voice spoke up. "Can we order or are you too busy gossiping with her?"
The voices that were background music in the cozy shop died within an instant.
Your friend narrowed his eyes. "Sir, in case you failed to notice, there are two of us working at the bar and you, along with Miss Y/N are the only one waiting in line."
You cringed and looked at displayed cupcakes beneath you in hopes of the tension washing over you and disappearing right after. You didn't really want any feelings of someone's anger to linger on your mind at only 7 in the morning.
"Brittany could you take this man's order for me? I'm busy with Y/N's."
A petite blonde stepped out of the shadows she wasn't even in and looked at the grumpy man with a dashing smile.
"I better go," you whispered after a moment and reached for the two coffees, laying out the exact amount of money on the counter. "Before things get crazy."
The bartender gave you an apologetic smile, "I'm sorry about him, I don't even know who he is. He just started stopping by. Anyway, say hi to Jay for me."
For a moment you debated on whether you should tell Jay about this man. Him coincidentally showing up at exact places where you were in the last few weeks left a bitter taste in your mouth. But then again, you might be making this all up to yourself.
You are dating a senior detective after all. The inner voice in your head was starting to get too loud.
"Will do," You said quietly, turning around on your heels and slipping out of the coffee shop and into the cold Chicago air.
Goosebumps immediately took residence on your skin because the sleeves of white t-shirt you had only covered the upper parts of your arms.
The car was hard to spot amongst the early crowd. The body of people that formed around you was making it more difficult to find Jay. Sighing, you clenched your teeth and moved forward until a hand grasped your shoulder, and you turned around.
"You…" You gasped in surprise because you had no thought invade your mind that the young man might have followed you out.
"It's cold out here," He offers, the grin on his face never subsided. "Let's get you somewhere warm."
You shook your head, baffled beyond belief. "I'm not going anywhere with you."
He stood in front of you, his face forming into an angry scowl for the first time. The grin vanished and his whole demeanor changed – almost as if you had just flipped the switch that held his façade together. His rough hand grabbed your free wrist, and you yelped in surprise, holding the bag that contained your coffee securely.
"Let me go!" You fought, doing your best to ignore the ominous look in his eyes.
This is going to leave bruises for sure, you thought while gazing at your captured wrist. Maybe if you screamed, he would get off you, but you didn't want to cause a commotion. Plus, you wanted him there for when Jay came back to fetch you.
Fear settled in your chest, but it disappeared as quick as it came when Jay's voice hung in the air.
His words were blurry to your ears. Amid the moment, you only got a one good look at your boyfriend’s face before he placed himself in front of the young man, shielding you from harm's way.
Your wrist was free, but bruised and sore.
"What the hell man! Get off me!" The green-eyed man exclaimed, pushing at Jay with his hands. You hadn’t even realized what Jay was doing.
"Oh, yeah?" Jay mused; his face grew colder within a second of saying that. "What'd you do to her?"
Jay turned around to you at that moment, his blue eyes skimming you over for any injuries. His eyes widened at your wrist.
"Nothing, man. I-I didn't even touch that bitch!"
The simple word aggravated the detective and Jay lunged at him; although not in a matter that would get his hands beaten up.
Your boyfriend of 2 years moved his jacket and showed your attacker his badge, and before the man could do anything, he had his hands twisted behind his back. "What are you doing?!"
"Arresting you for assault," Jay informed before lowering his voice. "But if I had it my way; I'd beat you to a pulp for what you did to my girlfriend. Now, sit the hell down."
Trembling with apologies, the man sat on the pavement, hands cuffed, and pride crushed.
You watched the scene in front of you with a red face. Not because of the crowd that surrounded you as you stood by the side, but because of the cold Chicago air.
This was supposed to be a quick trip.
Grab and go.
"You okay?" Jay asked after hanging up the phone, presumably having just finished calling a fellow officer to arrest this man for real.
"Y-yeah," You whispered. "Just cold…"
You allowed Jay to wrap his warm jacket around you and inhaled his cologne after the warmth overtook.
"I shouldn't have let you alone."
You rolled your eyes at the protectiveness and leaned into him, head falling on his shoulder as he led you to the car. "I called Sergeant Platt. She sent someone to pick him up. They’re two minutes out."
You nodded, "Good because I'm freaked out."
"Do you know him?" Jay asked with furrowed brows.
"I never thought much of it," You sighed. "He kept showing up at work, and now at the coffee shop, but I always thought he was new at work and all… I mean, all of us get coffee here."
Jay listened carefully. "This is serious."
"I know," You agreed. "Our coffee got cold. It can't get worse than that."
Jay outright laughed at your words.

Honey, No
Idol: Dreamcatcher
@oncewingly: Maybe 8th member of dreamcatcher fangirls over someone from Twice making her members jealous?
☕buy me a coffee☕
Gahyeon’s gaze kept shifting from one person to another. The silence of the room was becoming deafening for the girls and one of them wanted to speak up, but couldn’t find the words to say.
Bora’s finger kept tapping against the table almost impatiently as she tried to keep her composure, but the little giggles that often rang in the room was slowly thinning her patience whilst Handong did her best to focus on her food.
Siyeon’s eyes rose as she observed the dancer and Yoohyeon was already pouting in the corner as she picked at her food and Yubin and Minji were just silently eating their own food until Minji looked up and fixed her stare at you when you had yet to lift your eyes off the screen from watching Twice’s latest comeback stage.
“Y/n, would you mind watching after dinner?” She asked with the same smile she typically gives you when asking you to do something and her voice catches your attention before you’re flashing her a smile of your own and putting your phone away. “Sorry, unnie. I got really excited when I saw Jihyo sunbaenim.”
The blush on your face probably further ruined their mood and Bora was practically boring a hole on the area where you had your phone, but soon snapped out of it when you were able to properly take in what was in front of you and pride swelled in her chest as she saw the same bright eyed look you always had when she cooked something for you.
“Oh, wow, did you cook this, unnie?” You question and Gahyeon raised her hand immediately. “I helped!” You giggle at her exclamation before reaching over to pinch her cheek. “And I’m sure you did a great job!” You tell her, the tension finally lifting as the girls began to smile and start messing with each other.
“Unnie, you should try this one. Dongie unnie and I went to buy this a couple days ago and it’s really good.” Yoohyeon said while she offered you some of the kimchi she had and you happily accepted it. “We were actually debating on which one to get. It was on sale and then I told her, why not?” Handong shrugged as you took a bite, your face lighting up as you nodded your head and showed a thumbs up. “It’s amazing! You guys made the right decision getting it.”
Yubin was in the process of getting some more food when she noticed you struggling with the wrap you were making and she silently smiled before reaching over. “Unnie, hold it like this so it doesn’t spill.” She laughed and you furrow your brows while the younger girl adjusted your hold and began to fix the food for you. “But it’s tiny.” You protested, making her and Handong giggle before she finished and helped you close the wrap properly.
“Sometimes I forget that Y/n isn’t Korean. But when it comes to things like these, she can’t even make her own food.” Minji teased as you pouted after eating your food, cheeks puffed up and mouth full, making it impossible for you to retort.
“Ah, that’s so cute!” Siyeon laughed while Gahyeon poked your cheek. Your brows pinched together as you tried swatting their hands away, but found it useless soon after.
And just like many other nights, you and your members spent it the way you knew how - full of laughter and chatter.
..
You weren’t sure what to think when you arrived at the music show. Of course you had met and even befriended various other artists you came across whenever you had the chance, but nothing compared to when you would be in the same vicinity as the ones you idolized and looked up to.
Jihyo was even more charismatic in person than you had expected.
You were just minding your own business after finishing rehearsals when you had rounded the corner and accidentally bumped into the leader. She seemed just as surprised as you were when she instinctively reached out to grab your shoulders and steady you back on your feet.
“Sorry about that! I wasn’t looking where I was going.” She apologized, making your already wide eyes grow bigger as you waved your hands frantically in front of you. “N-No! That was my fault. I’m so sorry!” You bowed hastily and Dahyun laughed lightly beside her friend before a flash of recognition came to her face when she got a good look at you.
“You’re Y/n! Gahyeon introduced us during the ISAC.” The rapper explained and you smile bashfully, remembering that your maknae had indeed introduced you to her friend. “Yeah, I remember. Gahyeon likes to remind me of how shy I was that time.”
Just then, a mischievous smirk crept up the girl’s face when she glanced at her member. “Gahyeon also tells me that you’re a fan. She told me that you were really hyped up about our comeback.” Jihyo’s face lights up at the mention of you being a fan and you feel your face heat up more than it already was. “You are?”
“I, well, yes. I’m a very big fan of you all and I w-wanted to say you all did well.” You stammer, causing Dahyun’s smirk to widen. “I heard that Jihyo unnie was your bias, too.” Your jaw went slack at the mention and your entire face exploded into a million shades of red whilst the older woman seemed amused by your embarrassment, flattered with being your bias. “Aww! You’re so adorable!” She squealed before giving you a hug.
“Don’t mind Dahyun. She likes to be a tease when she can, but I’ve seen your performance and it was really great! You looked really cool and the song was amazing.” Jihyo complimented and if you could die right there, you wouldn’t mind with how you had gotten both a hug and a compliment from one of your idols.
“Tell you what, if you’re ever free, why don’t you text me and we can hang out? Or if you’re too shy, you can ask your friend to text Dahyun.” Jihyo teased lightly, making you stutter in disbelief before the dark haired woman nodded her head, patting your arm. “That sounds like a plan. I’ll be sure to tell her.”
You could see why they were friends as Dahyun grinned at you. “We have to get going, but we’ll see you later. Fighting!” With one last hug, Jihyo and Dahyun finally bid you goodbye and you were left standing in the hall, staring into space.
“Y/n! There you are! What are you doing out here?” Siyeon’s voice suddenly greeted your ears and you’re broken out of your dazed state before you were looking to your member, face still flushed as you clung to her arm when she was near enough.
The older girl looked confused by your sudden shyness before she put her hand to your forehead. “Yah! Are you sick? Your face is all red.” She said worriedly and you shook your head before tugging at her arm. “I met Jihyo sunbaenim!” You bursts out and Siyeon’s eyes widened slightly at the volume of your voice before you were the one leading her back to your room to prepare.
“Unnie! She was so nice and pretty! Dahyun-ssi was also there and she remembered me because of Gahyeon. I can’t believe she told her about Jihyo sunbaenim being my bias, that was so embarrassing!” You groaned and she could barely understand what you were saying with how fast you were speaking.
As you arrived inside your room, the rest of your members looked over while you kept ranting about your encounter with the two Twice members and Siyeon looked to them for help and Bora was quick to intercept as she called out to you.
Her voice had effectively stolen your attention before she was running to your arms. Her face nestled into the crook of your neck and smiled as she relaxed in your arms and the comforting feeling made you momentarily forget about your earlier encounter with the two other idols.
“What’s got you all chatty?” Minji giggled, noting your entrance and you beamed while squeezing the woman in your arms. “I met Jihyo sunbae earlier and she asked me to hang out!” You exclaim, causing all of your members to look oddly at you.
Bora had pulled away to look at your face before turning to Siyeon, who shrugged in response. “Dahyun-ssi said she would contact Gahyeon and ask about when we could and I’m just so excited!”
Yubin pursed her lips together at your rant. While she was friends with Jihyo, she had to admit that hearing you go on and on about someone that wasn’t anyone from the group made all of them a bit insecure.
Were you getting tired of them?
The pout on Gahyeon’s face told you that there was something wrong, along with the silence in the room. “Did I... miss something?” You ask confusedly and Handong smiles at your cluelessness before she rested her chin against her hand.
“I know you’re not doing it on purpose, but I think I speak for all of us when I say that we’re a bit self conscious of how you constantly talk about Twice or Jihyo sunbae in general.” She explains and Yoohyeon quickly spoke when she saw the look on your face. “It isn’t a bad thing! It’s cute that you admire her a lot, it’s just... we want your attention, too.”
“You’ve been on your phone a lot and once you start to actually hang out, we’re kinda scared that you might like hanging out with them more than with us.” Minji sighed as she ran her fingers through her hair. “You’ve been ignoring us a lot lately, we just thought that maybe you were getting tired of the group.” Bora added, making your expression soften when you look at all of their saddened faces.
You didn’t think that they would feel this way. With how much you spent with each other, you didn’t think that they would be bothered if you hung out with other people more. In fact, you thought that maybe they needed a break from you.
“I would never get tired of any of you.” You tell them with a small smile. “I love you girls and I would give nothing more than to have you all with me until the end.” You reach for Siyeon’s hand while the other arm wraps around Bora’s shoulders again.
“I guess we were kinda worried for nothing.” Yubin chuckled when she checked the time and you nod your head in agreement. “There’s no reason for any of you to be jealous! I could just spend a day with my idol, but I’m always going to be with Dreamcatcher whatever the time and wherever the place.”
After finally having the assurance that they all needed, all worries seemed to disappear and each of the girls were relieved to know that you would be sticking around and their doubt had only gotten the best of them. But of course that wouldn’t erase the lingering jealousy whenever you fangirled over your idols the way you did.
“Can I still hang out with Twice?”
“Not unless one of us comes along.”

Well Why Don’t You?- Zuko x Reader
Summary: You and Zuko constantly dance around each other, and Sokka and Toph have had enough. Fluff, with a tiny bit of angst!! Masterlist
(GIF isn’t mine!) Words: 3,398 Request: yes
**** let me know if I you all want a masterlist!
Well Why Don’t You?
The first party Zuko hosts is a year after the war. It is a “welcome to Fire Nation” party, to honor the new members of one of Zuko’s outreach programs.
One year after the war, and everything is slowly starting to feel normal. Your parents had died before the war began, and having no where else to go, you ended up sticking close to Zuko, your best friend.
Zuko had brought up the idea first, claiming that he had no one left either, and it had really worked out quite well for the both of you. You gave Zuko advice and opinions with an honesty no one else would. Zuko offered you a place of belonging and a deep friendship.
Though you missed your parents and your friends, you had never felt quite so happy as you did with Zuko. You knew a lot of that happiness had to do with your feelings for him.
Zuko had joined your side and won you over first. You believed him before anyone else did, and as time progressed, you slowly started opening up to each other. You often teamed up in battle and just naturally gravitated towards each other. Toph and Sokka had teased you about it relentlessly. You had realized you loved him when Azula struck him with lightning, when you had almost lost him.
Then Zuko had healed and had become Firelord, and you hadn’t said a word to him about your feelings. Now you are really starting to regret it as you watch him dance with Mai. They had broken up a long time ago, but that didn’t make you feel better as you watch him pull her tighter to him and whisper in her ear. Angrily, you slam your finished drink on the table.
“Another.” You demand, and Sokka looks at you with troubled eyes.
“Y/n, you’ve been drinking a lot more than usual, are you sure you can handle another?” He asks you, brows furrowed. You must be really obvious if Sokka was noticing something wrong.
“Obviously it has everything to do with Lover Boy and Mai.” Toph says, inclining her head in the direction of the dance floor. For a blind girl, Toph really does see everything.
“No it doesn’t.” You hiss.
“Ooh you hit a nerve.” Sokka giggles, tipping his drink back. You aim a hard kick to his shin. Sokka chokes on his drink, and you take a little pleasure in his sputtering. Toph pats him a few times on the back, but she’s laughing too hard to really help.
“Ok, ok. I’m sorry. I won’t say anything else about your all encompassing love.” Sokka says.
“All encompassing love for who?” Zuko asks, head cocked to the side like a puppy. Mai is there, arm wound tightly through his. She smiles at you, but the expression looks forced on her usually bored face.
“For wine.” You cover smoothly. “I was just about to get another drink and Sokka was teasing me for being an alcoholic. I showed him though.”
You nod at Sokka, who now sits rubbing his shin.
“That’s my girl.” Zuko smiles. “Guys, you all remember Mai?”
Everyone at the table nods, and exchanges pleasantries. Zuko pulls out a chair at the table and seats Mai, and then takes the chair in between you both.
The wine is catching up with you, and your head is fuzzy, even fuzzier with Zuko so close. You want to kiss him, to hold his hand, to be with him. All of that is impossible with Mai next to him. Of course Mai is beautiful, and of course that’s who Zuko would go for. Mai is a badass and she’s controlled. She’d be the perfect match for Zuko and his mood swings.
You stand up too quickly suddenly desperate to get away, and knock over your empty wine glass. You wobble in place before regaining your balance.
“Y/n?” Zuko asks, concern etching his face. “Are you alright?”
“Fine!” You say in a voice that tells everyone you are absolutely not fine. “I’m just off to get some wine! Haha that rhymes.”
Your awkwardness combined with the alcohol has just made a painfully embarrassing moment that you’ll never expunge from your brain.
Sokka bursts into drunken laughter like a child, and Toph rolls her eyes. You barley manage to get yourself out of the party before you start crying.
————————————————-
The next party Zuko hosts, you are prepared to make a move. Toph has taken to giving you weekly pep talks, and she’s bolstered your confidence a lot.
You had picked out the perfect dress, a black gown with a plunging back. The bodice was tight against your figure, and emphasized your curves. You spent all day creating a dramatic makeup look and pinning up your hair. You knew you looked good, hopefully Zuko would see it too.
You take up your usual spot at the table with Toph and Sokka. Katara and Aang were hardly ever at these things, too busy running their academy or fixing the world. Toph and Sokka are a bit more like you, with no where to go.
Toph and Sokka are starting a drinking game, and you’re too zoned out to really listen to the rules. You’re eager to see Zuko, and even more eager to have him see you.
“With the rate she’s going, we’re going to die of alcohol poisoning.” You hear Toph say.
“What?” You ask. Toph smiles sheepishly, and looks to Sokka to say something.
“Well...” Sokka says, and his face says that he is absolutely trying every way to get out of this.
“Are you playing a drinking game about me?!” You demand. Their smiles give it all away, and suddenly you feel rather affronted.
“What are the rules??” You smack your hand down on the table.
“Obviously it has something to do with being the most beautiful girl in the room.” Zuko says, smiling at you. He places a kiss to your cheek, and then sits down. You could literally explode on the spot, but even in your high you don’t miss Sokka and Toph taking a synchronized drink.
So it was about you and Zuko then.
“Thank you.” You tell Zuko, and you can’t help the warmth that colors your tone. Who gave him the right to be so charming? You knew this was his normal diplomatic persona, the one he used to flatter his subjects. You could pretend it was real for a night.
Sokka and Toph drink again, and this time is not subtle at all. Zuko notices, and quirks his eyebrows at them.
“So what are the rules?” He asks, truly perplexed.
“Don’t have any.” Toph says. Zuko rolls his eyes, but leaves them to their own game.
You’re about to ask Zuko to dance, when an advisor comes up to him.
“Lord Zuko, I have someone who would really love to meet you.” The old man says. The person who wants to meet Zuko is clearly the beautiful young woman trying her best to pretend she isn’t watching the exchange.
Zuko notices this too, and smiles at his advisor.
“Of course, give me just a moment.” He says. You’re torn between two feelings. On one hand, you love Zuko’s devotion to his people, but on the other, jealousy is eating at you.
Zuko smiles at you softly.
“You really do look lovely.” He says. “Don’t go anywhere guys, I’ll be right back.”
You watch him walk away, with a heavy heart. It seemed like nothing would truly be enough to capture his attention.
“Drink!” Sokka calls, indicating your wistful glances at Zuko. You drink until your glass is empty.
————————————————
You don’t go to the third party. Every inch of your body hurts, and your head is pounding. You think you might have a fever, but you don’t want to call anyone in to check. You absolutely despise being sick, and sometimes you like to just wallow in your sorrows.
Toph comes in to check on you before the party. She’s dressed in a lovely green gown, and a gold headpiece.
“Toph, you’re gorgeous.” You croak. “Stay away from me though, I’ll get you sick.”
Toph gives you a pitying look.
“You sound awful.” She says.
“I feel it.”
“Do you want me to send somebody in to check on you? No offense, y/n, but you actually look like you could be dying.”
“Thank you Toph, I really wanted to hear that.” You mutter into your pillow.
There is silence for a few seconds as Toph debates what to do.
“Seriously Toph, I’m ok. Go have fun.” Then sitting up, you tease her. “Tell me all about Sokka’s reaction when he sees you in that dress.”
Toph blushes, and hurries away like you expected her too. Content at your privacy, you fall back on your bed to get some sleep.
You had only just fallen into a fitful sleep, when you are awoken by someone stroking your face.
Zuko sits in your bed in his party robes, looking more concerned than you’d ever seen him.
“Zuko?” You croak. Maybe this is a fever dream or a hallucination. There’s no way that Zuko left his party to come sit with you.
“Hey.” He says softly. “Toph told me you were sick. I sent for a healer a few minutes ago.”
He brushes a few sweaty strands of hair out of your face and you groan internally. How could he ever want to be with you after seeing you like this?
“Get away from me, you’re going to get sick!” You protest when you realize that he’s sitting too close.
Zuko rolls his eyes, and moves closer just to spite you.
“I don’t care about any of that, y/n.” He says. He leaves his hand on the side of your face, and his thumb strokes your cheek bone. “You’re really hot.” He says.
You know he doesn’t mean it the way it sounds, but in your feverish state his words are funny.
“No you’re the hot one.” You say, giggling. Zuko smiles, but he also looks more concerned than before.
“You’re delirious.” He says. The healer knocks on the door, and Zuko hurries to let him in.
The healer makes him stand away from you, as he gets to work. Zuko paces, watching everything with his amber eyes.
You’ve never really noticed how beautiful his scar is, before right now.
“Thank you, y/n.” He says, and you blush.
You definitely hadn’t meant to say that out loud.
“My lord, I think she’ll be ok after some rest. We just need to break the fever.” Zuko winces, and you think that he must be remembering the time he was sick in Ba Sing Se. He had told you about it long ago, about how painful it was.
“Alright.” Zuko says, “Thank you for seeing her. I’ll stay with her.”
“My lord, I am perfectly happy to stay...” the healer trails off at Zuko’s face.
“I’m not leaving her.” Zuko says, tone final. The healer bows his head, and starts instructing Zuko.
“Keep the cloth cold, and keep her under the blankets. I’ll come by to check every few hours. The best thing for her to do is sweat it out.”
You hear the door close, and then Zuko sits beside you on the bed again. You hadn’t realized that you had closed your eyes.
Zuko’s hands replace the healers, and he starts pressing the cold cloth against your forehead.
“What about your party?” You croak.
“More important things for me to be doing.” Zuko says. You are ill, quite possibly delirious, but you could swear you hear some deeper meaning in his words.
——————————————————
The fourth party Sokka and Toph are armwrestling, and you are keeping score. You all are by far the loudest table, and you know that if it wasn’t for your status as war heroes, you would have been kicked out long ago.
Zuko has been floating around tables all night, shaking hands and kissing babies. The people love him, and they see him for the great ruler he is. You’re happy for him, and you’re proud. But you also miss him.
Zuko finds his way over to you all during round 8. Sokka is only up by one point, and the narrow margin has really been a blow to his pride. You’ve decided to call a winner at round 9, so this victory really determines the outcome. You hate how into their stupid game you are.
Toph is just edging out Sokka when Zuko’s hand touches your back. He lets it trail slowly upwards and cup the back of your neck, thumb rubbing in slow circles.
“Who’s winning?” He asks lowly, to not disturb the serious concentration. You’ve never been more turned on in your whole life.
“It’s a toss up right now.” You say, obviously flustered. “If Sokka wins this round, he’s the winner, but if Toph wins we go into sudden death.”
“Mmm.” Zuko says close to your ear. Goosebumps explode down your body, and you fight a shiver. You glance over at him, and you lock eyes.
Is he looking at your lips? Is he leaning closer? Am I?
“Victory!” Toph cries, slamming Sokka’s arm into the table.
Your moment with Zuko is broken as you turn to them.
“That’s a tie. Round 9.” You say. You turn back to Zuko with a smile, and find one mirrored on his face. He looks happy, you think. More content than he has in a long while.
“Y/n?” A cocky voice asks you. You turn to find one of Zuko’s youngest advisors standing there. He is around your age and rather handsome. One of the types that knows it too.
“Dance with me?” He smirks, holding out a hand.
“Sorry.” Zuko says, with faux politeness. He drops his arm around your shoulders and curls you into his side. “We just can’t spare her. She’s our scorekeeper.”
His arm is holding you tight against him, possessively. Your whole body is fuzzy again as you smile at Zuko.
You turn back to his advisor and shrug.
“No one else can do it.” You say by way of explanation.
Zuko doesn’t move his arm the rest of the night, and neither do you.
————————————————-
Sokka and Toph are done with the games. You and Zuko had been dancing around each other for years now and it was really starting to get annoying. They couldn’t even enjoy getting drunk at parties anymore without one of you looking longingly at the other all night.
That’s why they were currently holed up in an unused advising room discussing plans.
“We’ve got to do something, Sokka. It’s not even fun to drink anymore.” Toph cries, slamming a fist on the table.
“Tell me about.” Sokka says. “All they do is drool over each other.”
“You’re the master strategy guy, let’s come up with a plan. There’s got to be something we can do.” Toph taps her foot rapidly against the ground.
Sokka sits in deep thought for a minute, hand rubbing his jaw. His blue eyes are far away as he considers several options.
“Well, jealousy didn’t work either time they were around other people. Zuko was still too chicken when y/n got all dolled up, and aside from locking them up together I just don’t know what will break their stubborn minds.” Sokka groans.
Suddenly, he and Toph both jump up.
“That’s it!” Toph says. “New mission, find a door that locks from the outside and lock those idiots up.”
————————————————
The fifth party Zuko hosts, you rewear the black gown. You liked it, and Zuko had called you beautiful when you wore it. Maybe tonight it could be your lucky charm.
It’s Zuko’s birthday, and you had managed to get Aang and Katara here as a surprise, and they were going to stay the entire weekend. Iroh was also going to come stay, and you had planned a smaller private party for tomorrow. You knew Zuko would be thrilled to spend some seeing his friends, and actually getting to spend some time with them.
You were just finishing spraying yourself with perfume, when Toph comes barreling into your room.
“Y/n, quick it’s Zuko!” You are in instant worry mode as you follow her out.
“What’s happened Toph? Is he alright?” You question.
Toph leads you through the winding corridors, and into a back part of the palace.
“Toph!” You demand as you come to a stop in front of a door you’ve never seen.
Sokka stands there, dressed in his finest blue party outfit. Toph is in her usual green.
“You guys? What’s going on. Where’s Zuko? Is he alright?” You question.
“He will be.” Toph says from behind you. Sokka opens up the door, and before you can ask anything else, Toph shoves you inside and the door slams shut.
Instead of falling onto the ground, something warm and hard catches you. Arms wrap around you to steady you, and you can instantly tell it’s Zuko.
“Zuko? What’s going on?” You ask him. “Are you ok? Toph said-”
“They did the same to me.” He chuckles. Your eyes are adjusting to the darkness, and you can just make out his smile. “I think we’re being set up.”
“Oh.” You say, as calmly as possible.
“Yep! And you’re not coming out until you talk about your feelings.” Toph says. “Gonna be weird to have a birthday party with no birthday boy. So you better make it quick.”
Zuko still has his arms around you, and you find that you haven’t moved yours either. You’re so close that you can feel his body heat.
“Zuko.” You whisper, softly. “I’m sorry they’re ruining your birthday.”
You can’t say that you feel that badly about having some alone time with Zuko, but you feel the need to share it all the same.
“Don’t be.” He whispers back, head lowering. “This is exactly where I want to be anyways.”
Your face breaks out into a grin as you wrap your arms around his neck.
“Yeah?” You ask.
“Yeah.” His lips are on yours immediately after, and there’s no more time for talking.
Zuko pulls you as close as he can, pressing hot kisses down your neck and to your collarbone.
“This is my favorite dress.” He says, running a hand over it appreciatively. “I always thought about how I’d tear it off of you.” He growls and then brings his lips back to yours.
In between passionate kisses you manage to respond.
“Then why don’t you?”
The invitation seems to be all he needs, because his hands are suddenly everywhere. They leave warm tingling trails wherever they touch, and you think you might be in heaven. Zuko’s hands deftly find the zipper, and he’s got it halfway down when the door is thrown open.
You and Zuko blink guiltily into the bright light of the hallway, and you can just make out the horror on Toph and Sokka’s faces.
“I did not think it would work this well.” Toph says, thoughtfully.
Sokka simply looks disgusted at the whole thing, and shudders.
“This room is occupied.” Zuko says, winking at you. He closes the door with a well aimed kick and you all are alone again.
“Hi.” You whisper, smile too wide for your face.
“Hi.” Zuko says. He leans down and kisses you again, a little less hungry than before. He takes his time, really exploring your mouth with his tongue.
You’ve never loved him as much as you do right now, in this tiny closet.
“Zuko.” You say, pulling back from the kiss. “I love you.”
Zuko pulls your face up to look into his eyes.
“I love you too. So much.” He says, and then he kisses you again and again.
“We better go.” You say, almost sadly. “People are going to start missing you.”
“I don’t care.” He growls, nipping at your lips.
“I have a suggestion.” You say, coyly. You stand on your tip toes to whisper in his ear. “Why don’t we make an appearance, and if you’re really good, we’ll sneak away and finish what we started.”
Maybe Zuko hugs his friends and promises to see them tomorrow. Maybe you stay at the party for all of ten minutes. Maybe Zuko all but carries you away. And maybe, for years to come, you and Zuko find yourselves in the habit of getting stuck in tight spaces.

number 49 “well this is awkward” ! bkdk of course <4
YAY THANK YOU
am i about to write some cheesy 7 minutes in heaven one-shot? yes. yes, i am.
well- kind of
send me a pairing and a number and i'll write you a drabble
"W-WAIT MINA WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Izuku panicked at his pink classmate trying profusely to shove him into his own closet, even a couple of his other classmates helping.
"SHUT UP AND GET IN THERE BROCCOLI." She replied, using her elbow to try and get him through the door now, still finding it difficult as hell. "HOW THE HELL ARE YOU SO STRONG?!"
"I DON'T KNOW- I'M SORRY! WHAT DID I DO?! WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO SHOVE ME IN HERE?! I'M SO SORRY PLEASE JUST TELL ME-" The greenette started begging at this point since he honestly was so confused about what was happening right now.
Mina had barged into his room along with Denki, Ochako, and a few other people a couple minutes ago. When he'd asked what they wanted, she just grabbed his arm and dragged him over to his closet without a response.
It took a few minutes and a lot of arguing, well more like arguing and profuse apologizing, before Ochako sighed and walked over to them. She simply used her quirk on Izuku to make him float, which surprised him enough to let go of the doorway.
"HOLD ON HOLD ON- CAN'T WE TALK ABOUT THIS?!" Izuku asked, trying one last time before he was floated into the closet with the door was slamming in his face as dropped to the floor. "URARAKA HOW COULD YOU?!"
"Sorry Deku! But it's for your own good- you'll see!" Ochako smiled from behind the door as she locked it and skipped away to go tell some of the boys to get the other thing they needed.
Mina giggled from behind the door before sighing, deciding she could at least explain to Izuku now. "Alright, alright! I'll explain." She took a deep breath, trying to find the best way to word this situation. "Basically- A few of us got bored, so we decided to play seven minutes in heaven! Except, we just put everyone in the building's names into a box and drew them two by two. And you and someone else got drawn! Simple as that!"
The greenette stayed silent for a bit as he stared at the door, seriously debating breaking it down at this point considering he was already red in the face after hearing what was going on.
"W-wha?! But I didn't agree to this! I don't want to kiss anyone Mina, let me out of here!" Honestly, that was probably one of the biggest lies he ever told. Of course, Izuku wanted to kiss SOMEONE. Specifically, a certain Bakugou Katsuki, but he'd given up on that ever happening a long time ago.
"That's a lie and we all know it!" Mina giggled again, starting to hear shouting from another floor which was a good sign of the other person already on their way. "Heh, cheer up! You'll be happy once you find out who the other guy is!"
"Happy?! I'M GONNA DIE OF EMBARRASSMENT- PLEASE LET ME OUT!" He groaned as he brought his knees up to his chest, trying to just roll into a ball and disappear.
It took a few minutes of waiting, though they felt more like hours, until Izuku finally heard the shouts and yells becoming increasingly louder. Izuku leaned over with his ear pressed to the door, trying to hear better, he suddenly recognized that voice- oh no.
The greenette quickly backed away from the door, hiding deep in the closet behind all his hanging clothes just in time to see the door swing open. In the doorway there stood a practically feral blond boy, being pushed by about three of his friends as they tried to get him through the door.
"GET OFF ME YOU LITTLE SHITS! I AM NOT FUCKING GOING IN THERE YOU CAN'T MAKE ME!" Katsuki shouted as he had a practical death grip on the doorway, there was no way he was about to let himself get locked in that closet.
"Aw, bro com'n! Calm down you're gonna hurt Midoriya if you keep kicking like that!" Eijiro exclaimed with a laugh, still trying to push the loud boy through. "Denki! Come over here and help please?"
"You got it, dude!" Denki snickered as he hurried over and touched one of Katsuki's arms, giving him enough of a shock for him to let go of that side. The others, wasting no time at all, quickly shoved him into the closet with the door slamming shut and locking behind him.
"YOU FUCKERS! LET ME OUT OF HERE! I'M GOING TO EXPLODE THIS GODDAMN DOOR THEN YOU'RE ALL NEXT!" Katsuki continued shouting at the door, trying to get them to let him out considering he really didn't want to pay for a door.
Izuku watched this all happen from his corner in the closet, still trying to hide as much he could. Though, now that Katsuki was actually in there with him, he couldn't help but look up and stare. He let out a soft squeak at one point as the blond was about to give in to his urge to break the wall down, he really wanted a closet door.
The small noise made Katsuki stop in his tracks and turn around, just then remembering he wasn't alone in here. He took a deep breath before squatting down with a grunt, looking right at Izuku behind all the clothes. "Oi. Stop hidin' you coward."
The greenette shook his head quickly, pressing his back up against the wall as much he could while trying to hide his blush. "I'm not a coward! I just don't really want to die today thank you." He huffed, praying to god that Katsuki wouldn't come any closer.
Though of course, Izuku had terrible luck, and the blond decided to slowly move behind the clothes with him. Honestly, he didn't know why he was doing this, but Katsuki just knew he didn't want Izuku to hide from him. "You're not dyin'. You didn't do shit. THE BITCHES OUT THERE, HOWEVER, ARE." He grumbled as he sat next to Izuku and crossed his arms.
"I have no objections to that-" The greenette said with a small laugh. He soon heard a small snicker come from next to him, he looked over at Katsuki and to his surprise saw him..laughing? That'd never happened before- he actually made him laugh! Izuku grinned, extremely happy about that fact.
Katsuki laughed for a few seconds, not noticing Izuku staring until he turned his head. He raised an eyebrow at the other boy before rolling his eyes, already used to this by now. "Stop starin' at me, Deku. It's creepy as hell-"
"S-sorry Kacchan! I can't help it you're just so pretty..- AMAZING!" Izuku quickly caught himself, his deep blush returning once again as he nervously tried to laugh it off. "JUST PRETTY AMAZING HAHA!"
The blond gave him a suspicious look, already knowing what he was actually going to say. "Yeah..sure.." He looked at Izuku a bit before turning his head away and looking back at the door with a light blush. "I think you're pretty too."
Izuku stared blankly at the boy, blinking a few times and shaking his head to make sure he heard right. "You- you what?!" He questioned, still not believing Katsuki would say that to him.
"What, are you deaf?! I said I think you’re pretty too, you damned nerd!" He growled and turned his head back to Izuku with a more obvious blush, not as deep as Izuku’s but you could still tell it was there.
The green eyed boy stared for a while again, honestly not sure what to do with this information but he could already feel his face burning red. “..W-well this is awkward.."
"You’re the one makin' it awkward! For fuck's sake-" Katsuki quickly leaned in before Izuku wasted any more time, pressing his lips against the greenette's roughly. He gave a small smirk at hearing a whimper come from the other boy before said boy started kissing back almost desperately, like he thought he might never get this chance again so he was going to enjoy it.
The two heard squeals from behind the closet door, Katsuki mentally rolling his eyes as they silently ignored them and continued the kiss they both longed for since forever. Whether they wanted to admit it or not.

Dinner
Pairing: Mycroft Holmes x Nicole Blake
Word Count: 2.5k
Summary: The first date
A/N: Again, a special thanks to @thatghoulboi for helping out!!
“Which one looks better?” Nicole asked anxiously, her robe secured tightly on her as she stepped out of her bedroom. Entering the living room of the flat, she held out two dresses on hangers. One was a plain black dress with short sleeves and a skirt that would come down to her knees. The other was a dark green dress, longer than the black one, with a sleeveless sweetheart neckline.
“This is the third time you’ve shown me that dress,” Abby said, pulling her attention away from the script in front of her. She pointed at the green dress. “It’s like you want me to pick it because you’re afraid to do it yourself.”
“I’m not!” Nicole said, red faced and biting her lip. “You said you liked this one more than the blue one. I wanted to compare it to all the dresses I have. All five dresses.” She walked back to her bedroom and started to slip off her robe and change into the green dress. “I don’t know how some women do it. I can’t have more than five dresses. I mean, I never wear them unless I’m invited to something.”
“Dresses are nice,” Abby commented, her eyes drifting back to the script. She played with the ends of her curly hair as she did. “You know how much I like them.”
“I do.” Nicole replied. She groaned from her bedroom. “I think I might need to change to the purple dress. I might be so stressed I’m getting hives. The purple one has long sleeves.” She stepped out and back into the living room.
Abby shook her head and put the script on the coffee table before walking over to Nicole. She took her best friend’s hands in hers and squeezed them in encouragement. “Hey, you don’t need to stress. It’s one date. You only have to stress if he wants to see you again.”
“A, it’s not a date. It’s just dinner.” Nicole replied stubbornly. “And B, of course I’m going to stress! I haven’t been out with a guy since I went to college! That’s nearly a decade! It has been a decade!”
“You are going to do just fine,” Abby assured her, hugging Nicole. “And if he’s an ass just pour your drink on him.”
Nicole laughed. “I’m petty, not mean.” Abby shrugged and pulled away from the hug. Nicole took a few steps back and smoothed out the green dress. “How do I look?”
“Amazing,” Abby smiled at her. “Green really brings out your eyes.”
“Really?” A shy smile came over Nicole’s face at the comment.
“Yeah,” Abby nodded.
“Okay,” Nicole bounced on the balls of her feet as she mentally checked off everything she needed to do before she left. “And you’ll be here when I get back?”
Abby nodded, sitting back down on the couch. “Of course. I’ll be here to celebrate if it goes well, or console you if it goes awful. What time will you be coming back?”
“Probably not until eight? Maybe? I’ll text you if it’s later, don’t worry,” Nicole assured her, slipping on her black flats. She slipped her phone into her bra then unlocked the flat door and opened it.
“I thought you said the ‘dinner’ wasn’t until six?” Abby glanced down at the time on her phone. “It’s five-fifteen.”
“It takes fifteen minutes to get to the restaurant, and I cannot go through the horror of him being early and waiting for me.” Nicole explained quickly, slipping out the door. “Bye, love you, don’t forget to lock up on my way out!”
It was nearly 30 excruciating minutes as she waited outside the 5 star restaurant she didn’t even know existed until Mycroft suggested it for the dinner. She wasn’t sure when the pacing started, but it hasn’t stopped, neither have the curious looks people have given her as they entered and exited the restaurant. With every step of her pacing, a new thought entered her mind.
What if he doesn’t come? What if he stands you up? But what if he’s getting you flowers? No, of course he wouldn’t do that. What if he’s just running late. No, no one is ever just ‘running late’. It’s a bad sign. He’s probably changed his mind, who would blame him when it’s y–
“I hope you weren’t waiting too long,” Mycroft said, approaching where Nicole was pacing. Her movement was halted at his words and she stood nervously as he approached.
Shaking her head, she answered. “No, it’s only been—” 30 whole minutes. She cleared her throat and took in his appearance. It was different from the black tuxedos he wore for the events, but not all too different. It was a nice suit. It was very nice. Nicole felt her cheeks grow warm and she tore her eyes away before she could speak. “You look very…” her mind went through the list of words she knew, not wanting to settle on just handsome as the adjective, “…dapper.” She said, before mentally kicking herself. “I meant nice, you look very… nice…” She stared at her feet for a moment.
He gave a smile, an amused one, but a smile nonetheless. “Thank you. You look lovely. Green compliments your eyes.”
Nicole couldn’t stop the giggle that escaped her, and she covered her mouth in embarrassment. Removing her hand from her mouth she looked back at him. “I think we should go inside.”
Mycroft stepped over and opened the door. “After you.”
“Thank you,” she mumbled before walking into the restaurant.
The dinner had barely even started and Nicole was already dreading it. The wine menu had been given to them and she knew nothing about wine. She couldn’t even pronounce the names of them. She had no idea what the difference was between a wine from 2001 and a wine from 1998. She knew some things about wine, having done research for her novels. But she knew the wines for her books, not real life wines. She doesn’t even drink wine or alcohol. How did she get stuck in this situation? Oh right, she had a crush.
“Which one would you like?” Asked Mycroft. His voice pulled Nicole from her wasp nest of thoughts, and she snapped her head up to look at him.
“Huh?” She questioned, her fingers playing with the corner of the wine menu’s felt border. There was a loose string she had subconsciously been pulling at. Nicole shook her head a little, the question finally processing. “Oh no, I don’t drink.” The tone she said it in, at least to her, came out more rude than she had hoped, and she quickly backtracked. “Not that there’s anything wrong with drinking. It’s just not for me. That’s not to say you can’t have any wine, I was just… yeah.” Quickly hiding her face behind the menu, Nicole bit her lip. Was it too late to cancel? Considering she was sitting at the table with him, probably.
Her body went into autopilot for a moment as Mycroft got a bottle of wine she couldn’t even comprehend the name of, and the waiter left to fetch the wine. They were left with themselves and their menus. When she did come back to reality, Nicole hoped that she didn’t miss anything Mycroft said. But from the way his concentration was on the menu, she figured she was in the clear.
Her leg. Her leg was bouncing under the table, and she only hoped it wasn’t making too much noise, or that it was shaking the table. She’d hate for it to give away how bad her nerves were. But even with all her might Nicole couldn’t stop her leg from bouncing. Trying to pay attention to the menu, she debated whether she was going to get the spaghetti or salmon. It was so strong in her mind she didn’t realize she was muttering it under her breath.
“I assume you don’t do this much?” He questioned.
Nicole shook her head and swallowed thickly. She tore her eyes away from the menu and was immediately caught by his blue ones. Grabbing her glass of water, she took a sip. “I don’t, um, socialize very well.”
“It seems that most writers don’t,” he told her.
She laughed nervously, setting the glass down. “We’re recluses, what can I say?”
The waiter came over to take their order, momentarily interrupting and allowing Nicole a moment to regain her composure. Once he was gone, along with their menus, Mycroft’s attention was back on her.
“Why did you become a writer?” He asked.
“‘I write for the same reason I breathe—because if I didn’t, I would die’,” she quoted.
“Isaac Asimov,” Mycroft said.
Nicole nodded, picking at her nails under the table. Or trying not to. “I live by that quote. Well that and ‘a good writer writes with ink, a better writer writes with their blood’.”
She watched as his brows furrowed a bit. “Who said that?”
As she brought her glass up to take another sip, she smirked slightly. “I did.” Setting the glass down again, she continued. “But I became a writer because I like books. I like them so much I decided I wanted to make my own.”
The appetizers were served, and Nicole did her best to eat despite the butterflies in her stomach. Her leg was still shaking. She figured that wasn’t going to stop anytime soon. It didn’t matter; Mycroft didn’t seem to notice it yet.
“Tell me a little about yourself,” Nicole said, using the fork to play with her salad. “Like…” she bit her lip trying to think of something. “Do you have any siblings? What do you do for fun?”
“I have a younger brother, but we have a… complicated relationship,” he explained. “And I don’t have much time for fun.”
“Oh come on,” Nicole playfully rolled her eyes. “There has to be something you enjoy.”
There was a short pause before he replied. “I do enjoy old films.”
“How old?”
“Black and white.”
She hummed in response and stabbed the lettuce of her salad with the fork. “What’s your favorite color?” She asked without looking up.
“I’m sorry?”
“Colors.” She said. “What’s your favorite one?”
Mycroft blinked in surprise. No one’s ever asked him that before. “I… I would have to say a sort of… blue-gray color?”
Nicole looked up at him. “Like your eyes.”
He nodded. “Yes, I suppose so.”
Conversation grew quiet aside from the occasional question Nicole asked him. Soon enough their finished appetizers had been taken, and even sooner their meals had been set before them.
“What about you?” Mycroft asked.
“Hm?” Nicole looked up at him after putting a bite of salmon in her mouth.
“Tell me about you,” he insisted.
She chewed the bite slowly before swallowing, shaking her head. “I’m so boring, there’s nothing to talk about.”
“That can’t be true.”
“It is!” She shook her head. “My biggest pride and joy—beside my books—is my pen collection. My idea of a fun weekend isn’t going out to eat or shop or go to a pub, it’s reorganizing the notebooks on my bookshelf or reorganizing my pens. I get excited about buying new Tupperware or soap.” She let out a halfhearted laugh. “Do you know anyone who gets excited about buying soap?”
“No one that comes to mind,” he told her.
“Exactly,” she said, cutting into her salmon. “I’m terribly boring.”
“I still don’t believe you,” Mycroft explained, a small smile on his lips.
Silence gripped the table for a bit, both focusing on their meals and where they wanted the conversation to go. Nicole really wasn’t used to this. She was used to already knowing the people she talked to, ones she shared meals with. It didn’t help that Mycroft was so hard to read. He didn’t even look nervous despite socializing obviously being something he doesn’t excel in as well. Somehow, it made him all the more endearing.
“Favorite color?”
“Huh?” Nicole looked at him confused. Had she misheard him?
He almost looked embarrassed, like he couldn’t believe what he was about to say. Regardless, Mycroft cleared his throat. “What’s your favorite color?”
“Oh.” Nicole’s leg continued to shake. “Blue. It’s blue.”
“Just ‘blue’?”
She shrugged. “I like every shade of it. Each shade reminds me of something different. The lighter shades, the ones almost passable for white, they remind me of ice. And the darker shades remind me of rain and storms. I just like the color, it’s very comforting–” She bit her tongue and laughed nervously. “And now I’m rambling, I’m sorry.”
“It’s alright,” he assured her. “Do you have any siblings?”
“Nope,” she answered simply and took another bite of her dinner.
Family is a sore subject, Mycroft noted.
“How long have you lived in England? Obviously you’re American so… why?” He asked her.
“Well I came here for college, but I always planned on staying. I’ve lived here for about ten years now. And honestly I prefer it here.” She told him.
“I’m glad you found a place here,” he said.
Dinner was finished, and before they knew it the evening was over. There was a short debate over who paid for dinner (Nicole insisted she should since she asked him out, but Mycroft argued he picked the restaurant and he should pay). After agreeing Nicole would pay this time, Mycroft took her hand and led her outside. Stepping out into the evening air, Nicole smiled at Mycroft. “I had a really nice time.”
“As did I,” he replied softly. “Can I walk you to your car?”
“Oh it’s okay,” she told him. “I’m just going to catch a taxi home–”
“I can take you,” Mycroft interrupted. “My car is not far.”
“I couldn’t ask you to,” Nicole started to say.
“You’re not asking, I’m offering,” he told her. He took her hand and guided her to the car before opening the door.
It was a short drive to the flat, and Mycroft walked her to the door once they arrived. Standing outside the threshold to the flat entrance, Nicole gave him a shy smile as he spoke.
“I enjoyed the date a lot, Nicole,” he told her.
She felt her whole face heat up at his words. He called it a date. “I did too. I’d love to do this again sometime.”
“Then tomorrow, seven in the evening,” he told her and brought her hand up to gently kiss her knuckles.
At this point she could’ve sworn her whole face was on fire. But a giggle escaped her at his actions, and she looked away. “O–okay. Tomorrow at seven it is.”
“I look forward to it,” he said before letting go of her hand.
Nicole watched as he got into the car and was driven off, and she smiled to herself. She took the spare key from its hiding spot under a rock and unlocked the door, rushing inside. As she slammed it shut behind her, she called out to her best friend and rushed up the stairs.
“Holy shit, Abby! You’ll never believe this!”

mammon bf headcanons
I was not originally planning to do headcanons on here. but i need to discuss my baby my darling the light of my life in a more general way or I might go i n s a n e
he loves PDA but he is so shy and embarrassed about initiating it that he never will
he's also embarrassed whenever you initiate it but he would never in his life tell you to stop
hold his hand in public and he will be blushing ridiculously and incapable of forming coherent sentences, but he'll have the goofiest grin on his face that he just can't get rid of
give him smoochies in front of any of his brothers and he completely stops functioning, because not only is he getting kisses but he's also getting teased by whoever is around
in private its a whole other story, he becomes the clingiest most affectionate baby in the Devildom
he's actually just so psyched that wow his human actually likes him back and he's dating them and he can kiss and cuddle them all he wants instead of fantasizing about it, so you bet he's gonna take advantage of your alone time to snuggle up to you
if he's lying on your or his bed and no one else is in the room, by lord diavolo please get on top of him and give him kisses all over his face. he'll be giggling and breathless and also the happiest demon in the devildom
despite his overconfident facade, this boy needs loads of reassurance, because getting called a scumbag by your family for so long is enough to make anyone a bit insecure
so he'll be happiest if you tell him you love him a lot, or just give him lots of compliments and make him believe that you don't believe a word his brothers say about him
even a simple "I love spending time with you" is a one hit K.O. for this babie
this one is obvious from the game itself but he would be very jealous and protective of you
if you give his brothers more attention than him then he'll get all pouty and dejected, but if they start getting more friendly with you he is in Murder Mode in two seconds flat
you have to apologise to Asmo because he's basically not allowed within a five metre radius of you for the first couple of weeks you date Mammon (slowly but surely, he relaxes it until you can have self care nights again (though Mammon will attend and just glare threateningly from the corner))
he is the avatar of greed after all - he wants you all to himself whenever possible
leading on from that, he loves giving you hickies to make sure everyone knows you're off limit. has honestly debated writing his name in sharpie on your forehead because some demons just can't seem to take a hint
remember when lucifer (i think it was lucifer anyway) said that when mammon takes a liking to someone, they suddenly find themselves surrounded by riches from him? yeah he works real hard to make that happen
he'll take loads of jobs and beg people for money and sometimes do some things of questionable legality to buy you anything he thinks you'll like
on the flipside, he loves being spoiled but he won't pressure you to do that. he'll never deny a gift or if you insist on treating him to anything though, and he'll treasure whatever you get him forever
dating him includes a lot of crazy shenanigans. you better be ride or die because you're getting dragged along to all his money-making schemes and adventures to piss off lucifer.
also you just goof off if you're not causing trouble. tickle fights, playfully annoying each other, stupid dares, play fighting, when you hang out its just loads of fun

Other notes: Can we all take a moment to appreciate Gavin as the perfect, beautiful man that he is? Like, damn!!!
MC loved children. This was a known fact. She had even produced several shows concerning child development and behavioral issues. Kids were kids though, and it had yet to be determined whether that was in her favor at this particular moment.
Her soaked dress clung to her body uncomfortably, making her shift in an effort to keep the fabric from clinging. Shivering, MC huddled into her boyfriend’s jacket, fingers digging into the material as she pulled the flaps tighter over her chest. She had been on set, producing a segment on ways for children to stay active during the summer, when she’d gotten caught in the crossfire of a water balloon fight, her clothes and hair soaked in a matter of seconds as assistants and parents tried to round up the overexcited troublemakers. To make matters worse, the dress she had chosen to wear a white dress today, leaving little to the imagination as the fabric turned transparent.
Stunned by the sudden dousing, she was lucky that Gavin had been there to help out on his day off, jumping into action and draping his denim jacket around her shoulders before saying a few words to Kiki and leading her to a trailer. Having sat her down on a sofa, he was currently looking for something she could use to dry off and a change of clothes.
“I don’t think we’re going to find much in the way of fresh clothes,” she commented. Honestly, this could be a lot worse. She wasn’t so uncomfortable with Gavin here, knowing he would take care of her, and his jacket was warm and smelled like him, like sun and wind.
“You’re right. I’m not finding any towels either,” he sighed, his rummaging ceasing as he turned back to her. “I’m going to run back to your place and get you some clothes. In the meantime, you should get out of that dress or you might get sick. You can use my jacket to dry off as much as you can.” MC blushed as he sat down beside her and reached out to card his fingers through her damp locks. His palm cupped her cheek and she relished the warmth of his touch against her clammy skin, wanting nothing more than to snuggle up against him.
Sure, she was a little flustered. Pretty much everything was on display beneath the jacket and while it wasn’t as if he hadn’t seen her naked before, it was still all too easy to become embarrassed around him, her heart racing and body heating in reaction to him. It didn’t help that she had forgone a bra today, the wet fabric chafing her nipples with each heavy breath she took and hardening the buds to sensitive peaks that undoubtedly showed through her dress.
“Are you sure?” she asked, licking her lips. “You don’t have to go to all that trouble.”
“I don’t mind.” He smiled softly and rose to his feet. “Lock the door behind me so no one comes in by mistake.”
That made her startle, suddenly remembering a very important detail that would make this plan a lot more tricky. Gavin must have seen the realization on her face because he stopped, hand on the door handle. “What?” he asked, “What is it?”
“The doors on the trailers don’t lock.”
“...Oh.”
“I’m not sure why they don’t, but…” she muttered, trying to come up with some sort of excuse as she shifted in place.
“Okay.” He thought for a moment before deciding, “You can’t stay here like this. Let’s go get your things and let Anna know I’m taking you home to get changed.”
“Alright.” Taking the hand he offered her, MC settled into the crook of his arm as it wrapped around her shoulders, holding her against him protectively as they left the trailer. Anna was quick to give her the okay to go home, the other woman’s concern almost motherly as she took in her flushed cheeks and slight shivering with a furrowed brow. Gavin assured her he would take care of her - which he didn’t really need to do; it was already an accepted fact at the office that Gavin was a man among men - before escorting her to his motorcycle.
By this point her dress had become icy and she snuggled against Gavin’s broad back as he drove, seeking the comfort of his warmth.
“Almost there,” he said over his shoulder, to which she nodded, cheek pressed to his shoulder blade through the helmet he’d given her. The engine quieted to a rumbling purr as he pulled into the parking structure beneath her building and she dreaded the chafe that would come with getting off and moving around.
Her hair clung to her cheeks in wet clumps as she took off the helmet and let him help her off the motorcycle. There really was no worse feeling in the world than wet clothes. Each movement was excruciating, cold fabric rubbing and clinging in ways that left her uncomfortable and all too sensitive.
It was a relief when they finally reached her apartment and she turned the key in the lock. Gavin followed her in, and without thinking MC shed his jacket, unaware of how much she was revealing to him.
He was a gentleman and would sooner die than do something that took advantage of her, but Gavin was still a hot-blooded young man who was very much attracted to his girlfriend. His pants suddenly felt a little too tight, his breath coming a little harder as he averted his gaze from her. “You should warm up with a shower,” he managed, his voice a little husky as he looked at anything besides her.
When MC turned back to him she couldn’t help but giggle at how cute he looked, almost boyish with his pink cheeks and a hand raised to scratch the back of his head sheepishly. Around anyone else, she would have shied away, leaving them with a thank you at the door, but Gavin always made her feel safe, knowing that she was his number one priority at all times. It was one of the many qualities that made her fall in love with him.
“I will. Thank you for taking care of me, Gavin,” she said, turning to face him. “Do you want to wait here? It’s okay if you want to leave.”
“Here is fine.”
“Okay.” Shooting him an innocent smile, she sashayed to the bathroom, calling over her shoulder, “Make yourself at home.”
“Thanks,” he replied, voice a little gruff.
Despite how much she wanted to take this further, she only meant to tease her adorable boyfriend a little before going back to set, but when she tried to take off her sodden dress and found that the buttons didn’t want to cooperate with the wet material, there was really only one option left.
“Gavin?” she called, worrying her bottom lip between her teeth.
“Y-Yeah?”
“Sorry, I can’t get the buttons by myself. Could you help me?”
“...Sure.” His footsteps padded closer and her breathing picked up in anticipation when the door ghosted open. She didn’t meet his eyes, only turned to offer him her back. His presence behind her sent electric tinges washing over her skin and she hoped he didn’t notice the tiny shiver that wracked her when she felt his touch ghost along her shoulders. He was close, closer than he needed to be, but she wanted him even closer. Her lips parted around a silent moan as his breath fanned against her ear and she waited to see what he would do next as he reached the last button at the base of her spine.
Gavin stopped, seeming to debate with himself for a moment, before the barely there touch of his hands on her naked skin made her exhale a shaky sigh. His fingers traced her spine, continuing to her shoulders. The digits slipped under the straps of her dress, but before he made any move to bare her, he murmured, “Can I?” his voice tight with restraint.
“Please, Gavin,” she answered, her voice a whispered whine. MC could never deny him, not that she would ever want to. “I need you.”
A heartbeat later, her dress fell from her shoulders to pool on the tile floor. Gavin moaned against her neck as his lips descended on her skin, his body pressed flush against hers as his hands reached around to cup her breasts, gently weighing them in his palms. She arched her hips against his crotch, crying out as his teeth sank into the side of her neck at the pressure against his growing erection. Her hips hit the edge of the counter as he forced her forward, seeking that delicious friction as he began to dry hump her.
Mewls and whines escaped her parted lips as Gavin’s large hand gave her breast another squeeze before traveling down her stomach to slip into the front of her panties. Her legs trembled as he found her swollen clit, his thumb stroking the bud as he slipped his middle finger inside of her.
“G-Gavin, mmh! I...I can’t-!” MC tried to warn him of her failing legs, but she could barely get the words out, her slick core clenching around his fingers as he ground his bulge against her. She nearly cried as his fingers slipped out of her heat to turn her around. Her panties slipped down her legs before she was hoisted up onto the countertop, her boyfriend taking his rightful place between her legs. Gavin’s mouth claimed hers in a hungry kiss as she reached for him, small hands slipping under his shirt to touch chiseled abs and pecs. The lustful spark in his eyes as he parted from her to tear his shirt over his head sent a wave of heat blistering through her, her inner thighs soaked with her arousal.
She expected him to kiss her or shed the rest of his clothes, but he stepped away from her completely instead, reaching to turn on the shower before kneeling in front of her to rifle through the cabinets underneath the sink. When he looked up at her, he held a condom between his fingers and her brows lifted in surprise. “Where did you find that?” She couldn’t remember ever stashing a box down there.
“I put it here after our first time,” he admitted, and she might’ve fallen in love with him even more if that was possible. It was just like him to be so careful when it came to her. He held the foil package between his teeth as he undid his belt, holding her heated gaze as he pushed his pants and boxers down his legs. Her eyes immediately fell to his freed dick, swallowing at how painfully hard he was. Gavin was very well endowed, long and thick and veined, the velvety skin flushed red with need. The swollen head weeped pre-cum as she watched and a hand under her chin tilted her face up.
Her gaze met his half-lidded one and she nearly whimpered as he tore the condom open and rolled it down his length, rubbing her thighs together in an attempt to relieve the suddenly painful ache. Parting her legs, he wrapped his hands around her thighs and hoisted her off the counter with ease, her legs wrapping around his waist as he stepped into the shower.
The water did little to soothe the heat raging deep inside of her, though it did wash the last of the chill left by her wet clothes away. MC cried out as he pressed her against the shower wall, his chiseled body rutting against hers as he began to roll his hips into her. “Gavin! Oh god!” She writhed as the tip of his cock prodded her clit, his thick heat spreading her folds as his mouth nipped at her neck and collarbone.
“Want to be inside you,” he panted hotly against her cheek. “Can I?”
“Yes!” Bucking her hips, she heard him groan, releasing one of her legs in favor of clenching a fist against the wall next to her head. “I gave you permission the moment you undressed me! Please, please, please, fuck me, Gavin!”
Reaching down to position himself, she whimpered as his length slowly stretched her, the slight burn of something so large entering her wet core lost in the way he filled and pressed against her walls so deliciously. Her cries for him to go faster, to shove the whole thing in at once, were lost to him, his face pressed into her neck and his jaw clenched as he groaned. As much as Gavin wanted to shove himself into her, he wanted to be careful, to cherish her and make her feel loved.
He began to move as soon as he was fully seated inside of her, pulling out until just the tip was left inside before slamming back in again, her screams reverberating around the bathroom as he gave her what she wanted.
“Yes!...ah!!...Yes, Gavin, mmm..that...it feels so good!!” she cried, gasping lungfuls of the steamy air.
“Yeah?” Grabbing a bouncing breast, he pinched and twisted her nipple, licking his lips as she was reduced to a whimpering, lustful mess in his embrace. “You...haa...take me so good. Feels...ngh!...s-so good...squeezing me so tight! My good girl…”
Her fingers dug into his shoulders as he continued to pound into her, drops of water running down his muscles and clinging to the ends of his hair. All she could think to say was his name as he drove into her, adjusting his angle a couple of times to hit spots that had her eyes rolling back in her head.
“You’re...ahh!!...Gavin, you’re so deep! Gavin, Gavin, Gavin!!” She could feel him in every part of her body, claiming her as his own. It was hard and intense, but underlying it all was love, his adoration for her conveyed in every heated touch of skin against skin.
“Say my name,” he growled, claiming her lips in a hungry kiss. “Scream it so the neighbors know.” Tears of pleasure ran down her face as he hit her g-spot hard, abusing the sensitive spot over and over again. “Are you going to come?” he panted, hips moving faster, rougher. He was getting close too, her walls threatening to squeeze him to completion she was getting so tight.
“Y-Yes!” she cried, gasping as he throbbed and twitched inside of her.
His hand moved to where they were joined, and with a hard press to her clit she came undone, crying his name as her vision went white under an explosion of rapture. His pleasured grunt joined her scream as he reached his own end a few thrusts later, and he looked positively virile as he released, muscles in his neck bulging as his seed spilled into the condom.
The water cooled their overheated bodies as they panted, slowly coming down from their highs. Releasing her leg from around his hip, Gavin gently held her on her feet as he slipped out of her, planting kisses on her wet face.
“I love you,” she said breathlessly, a satisfied smile on her face as she nuzzled into his neck. “I love you so so much.”
“I love you too,” he murmured back, his arms tightening around her. A few moments passed like that, basking in the afterglow of their lovemaking, before he released her, stepping out of the shower for a moment to discard the used condom.
Alone, MC cupped her flushed cheeks in her hands and squealed internally. In this case, getting caught in the crossfire of a children’s water balloon fight had turned out very, very well, gaining fortune’s favor the moment she fell in love with Gavin.
It wasn’t until after they had finished washing up and were drying off when she suddenly gasped. “What if Lucien was home?!”
Gavin blinked at her, silent for a moment, before he burst into chuckles. Wrapping his arms around her middle, she thought she saw some of the same mischief from high school in his face now as he said, “I’ve had you screaming my name enough that I think he’s used to it by now, babe.”

Day 7 - Saiouma Week - AU - Prom Night!
Ship: Oumasai/Saiouma
Words: 1352
Type: Fluff/Prom AU
Trigger Warning: None
Posted: 08.08.20
Description: Kokichi Ouma is walking to Hope’s Peak Academy Prom until he stumbles across a sad Shuichi Saihara.
“Stupid, stupid, stupid...” Kokichi kicks a small pebble as he walks along the cement sidewalk.
It was 11 pm. He should be planning more pranks, or hell even study for his insanely hard criminal justice class. Instead he is walking, alone, in an uncomfortable white suit with his signature scarf instead of a tie, towards Hope’s Peak Academy.
“That damn avocado and robot!” Kokichi bites his nails, “I shouldn’t have agreed to this!”
Don’t get him wrong, he loves a good party. But he doesn’t want to see him. Kokichi cringes at the memory. “That kind, needy detective just had to get asked out by that girl, huh?”
“I mean who wouldn’t ask him out…” Kokichi sighs.
He remembers Shuichi’s midnight hair, milky white skin, and on the rare occasion he takes off his emo hat, his striking golden eyes. Shuichi’s gentle voice whenever he speaks or his outbursts of confidence when he is locked in a debate. Despite Kokichi’s terrible reputation, Shuichi is still caring, thoughtful, and listens to what Kokichi says.
Kokichi’s heart pounds at the thought of Shuichi, heat rising to his pale cheeks. “Awww, come on! You came to prom so you can forget about him, idiot!”
Kokichi shoves one hand into his suit’s chest pocket, taking out the crumbled love letter. He doesn't know why he brought it with him...maybe hoping Shuichi will accept his confession?
“Tch…”
Embarrassed, he inserts it back with a huff before placing his hands behind his head. Kokichi begins to admire the scenery around him, the night sky with twinkling stars, and the slightest breeze. The houses around him looked identical and in the distance, he could make out the city still alive, buzzing with activity.
Sniff, Sniff.
Kokichi pauses. His head snaps to the house on his left and is shocked by what he sees.
There sits Shuichi, hugging his knees while on the house's stone stairs. He wasn’t wearing his hat, causing his ahoge to face Kokichi. A withered rose bouquet and his phone lay next to him, notifications buzz through, but Shuichi doesn’t seem to notice.
“S-Shumai?”
Shuichi jumps upon hearing the all familiar nickname, “K-Kokichi?!”
Both boys stare at the other, not knowing what to say until Kokichi breaks the silence. “Shuichi, why are you upset?”
This sent chills down Shuichi’s spine. Kokichi’s voice was icy, layered with seriousness, which Shuichi never thought he would hear. “No wonder DICE listens to him when upset…”
“Shuichi. I asked a question. Why are you upset?”
“I-I-I’m not upset!” Shuichi tilts his head down, avoiding Kokichi’s gaze, but forgets he doesn’t have his hat on.
He could hear Kokichi’s steps on the stone pathway before stopping directly in front of him. Kokichi grabs Shuichi’s chin, forcing him to look into Kokichi’s amethyst eyes. Kokichi’s face was scarily calm but his eyes were focused on Shuichi like a predator hunting a prey.
“You’re a terrible liar. Explain your mascara dripping down, or the bouquet, or your totally wrinkled suit!”
Shuichi slumps his shoulders, making Kokichi let him go. “All right, I’ll tell you. But can you run to my room, and get the stuff to fix my mascara? The door is unlocked. Thank you...”
“Deal,” Kokichi said before rushing inside.
Shuichi touches his face before getting the black liquid all over his fingers, “have I really been crying this much?”
He pulls out his handkerchief from his chest pocket, wiping his fingers. He glances down at his black tux, smoothing out the wrinkles and adjusting his neon blue tie. Shuichi picks up his phone, ignoring the texts from Maki, Kaito, and Kaede, and re-reads the texts from his ex-date.
Kitani Katsu: “I’m excited for tonight.”
10:46 PM Kitani Katsu: “are u ready?” Me: “yes! I’m really excited to see you!”
10:50 PM Kitani Katsu: “hahaha. I can’t believe u would think I would ever go on a date with a loser like you!” Me: “you are joking right?” Kitani Katsu: “suck to suck!” Kitani Katsu: “see you never!”
Shuichi lets out a heavy sigh as Kokichi comes back with makeup wipes, mascara, and a small hand-held mirror. He goes to get them before Kokichi holds out a finger at him, “nope! I’ll fix it!”
“You know how to put on mascara?”
“I’m friends with Rantaro.”
Shuichi sighs and closes his eyes, waiting patiently for Kokichi. But, Kokichi is trying to calm his beating heart and blushing face. “Calm down, calm down! Oh Atua, my heart is going to burst! Ahhhh!”
He opens up the mascara, pulling out the wand before going closer to Shuichi, their noses accidentally touched and Kokichi bites his lips to hold back a yelp. Kokichi glances down, noticing Shuichi’s pink lips.
“No, Kokichi! Calm yourself down! Don’t do anything weird!”
` Kokichi moves a bit back and musters up the courage to apply the mascara.
“I can’t believe I am doing this. If Miu or Rantaro see me, I’ll never hear the end of it…”
“S-so! What or who made my favorite cry?”
“You know Kaitani Katsu, the popular girl from the classroom next to ours?” Shuichi begins, “well, she asked me out to prom, but it was all a ruse. I guess she wanted to show off to her friends how many dates she could get…”
Kokichi could feel fury well up inside of him, “how dare she! She made my favorite cry! Looks like I know who my next victim of pranking is going to be!”
“K-Kokichi? Are you all right? You’re acting strange...”
“If he says what I think he is going to say-”
“You are being...really serious, right now…”
“Oh, thank Atua!”
“Well, someone hurt my beloved! Of course, this is serious! This is an emergency!” Kokichi exclaims, finally finishing the first eye.
“I appreciate it, Kokichi. I’ll have to find a way to make it up to you!”
Kokichi immediately knows what he wants, but he bites his tongue instead. “No way, Kokichi. He probably doesn’t even like you. So don’t ask him to go to prom with-”
“You can go to prom with me.”
“I want to bury in a hole and die. Good job, Kokichi. You just lost your one chance-”
“Ok.”
Kokichi stumbles back, his eyes widening at Shuichi’s answer. “W-w-wait! You-! Yes?! W-wha-!?”
“Is there something wrong, Kokichi? Is the other eye done?” Shuichi cocks his head.
“Y-yes, it’s done…”
Shuichi opens his eyes before fanning them with his hands. Both stay there in silence, Kokichi trying to calm himself down while Shuichi is drying off his mascara. “May I get the mirror?”
Kokichi’s hand wobbles as he gives the mirror to Shuichi. “So, how is my amazing work? I have no ideas how you can do this everyday! Seriously!”
“It’s actually not bad…” Shuichi admires his eyeliner, “you get used to doing it.”
Soon, Shuichi puts the mirror behind him and locks his house. Then, he holds out his hand to Kokichi, “let’s go!”
“Hold up!” Kokichi whips around, pulling out the love letter, “let me ask you properly!”
Kokichi turns back around, placing the letter in his beloved’s outstretched hand, “Shuichi Saihara, would you accept the honor of accompanying the ultimate supreme leader to a gala of fun?”
Shuichi giggles, “yes, yes, I will!” He kisses the back of Kokichi’s hand, smiling at the flustered leader.
Kokichi laughs before grabbing his hand and together walking down the road to the Hope’s Peak Academy Prom.
Bonus:
Shuichi is humming with a goofy grin on his lips before Kokichi interrupts him. “Someone seems weirdly happy about this!”
“I really wanted to ask you, but I was scared of letting Kaitani Katsu down…” Shuichi sheepishly said.
“Why were you sad about her standing you up, then?”
“It still hurts to get played like that…”
“Awww!” Kokichi pats his head, “don’t go all emo like that on our date!”
“D-date?!”
“Of course, it doesn’t have to be one…” Kokichi tries to let go of Shuichi’s hand but Shuichi holds onto it firmer.
“I’d love for it to be our date!” Shuichi laughs and soon Kokichi does as well.

Annabeth and the First Date
Hello everyone! E here hoping you are all staying safe and sound among these trying times. Remember to take care of yourself and others.
I’m back with a collab! WOO! My good friend @hains-mae and I have teamed up to bring you some good times and what better way to celebrate the very conflicted feelings I have about Percy Jackson being made by Disney (Looks at the Artemis Fowl Trash fire) then by writing about it!
So we kinda just threw whatever at the AU wall to see what we wanted to do and we both settled on this college style au. It’s not completely fleshed out but the idea I have is everyone are still demigods and they still get trained but they don’t really go on quests or fight monsters until they’re 18 years old because the monsters get more of a challenge and street cred than just killing children. Yeah we just wanted to do a college style au.
So this story is Annabeth’s first date. She’s 17, in college and doesn’t know Percy but they both know Grover. I like to think that Camp Halfblood is still a thing and she’s been training since she was a child like canon but in that one year in between coming of age and not being a target, a lot of demigods go to school as a last taste of normalcy and maybe to get motivation not to die.
Yeah we just went for it.
So Percy and Annabeth of 17 and they don’t know each other. They haven’t done their first quest.
so enjoy! stay safe, social distance, masks! not optional and I’ll see you soon with the next one. Have a great week everyone!
17 year old Annabeth Chase was not happy with her most recent life choice.
She would’ve scolded herself for using less than stellar vocabulary but between being seated alone amid a sea of smiling, joyful couples and her date now officially 30 minutes late with no word of his arrival, she was not in a great mood.
“Go on a date they said” She mockingly murmured under her breath “It’ll be fun they said. You need to get your head out of a book, it’s not healthy.”
Annabeth scoffed: How was reading a book not fun? Her mother, Athena, prided herself on knowledge. Knowledge was the single most important foundation in life and with knowledge all things were possible.
She grimaced as she blew a strand of her curly blonde hair out of her face, disliking the increasing embarrassment she felt about being stood up.
Her mistake was putting too much faith in the Aphrodite dorm rooms. The self proclaimed matchmakers had been hounding her relentlessly since the first week of college and while she had done a fantastic job avoiding their interest (if she says so herself), eventually they set their efforts upon her single life.
“Shouldn’t have caved” Annabeth frowned as she rubbed her arm awkwardly.
She could’ve outlasted them. The librarian already banned the lot of them from the library and Annabeth knew plenty of secluded spots where no one could find her for hours. Admittedly, though, it was getting more difficult when they began ambushing her in pairs: Outside her dorm, outside her classes, in the cafe where she loved to study. For people who never once did their homework or cared about things outside love, they were surprisingly vicious.
One date. That’s the agreement she negotiated with them though she could tell behind their wide smiles they were planning on multiple suitors in case this one did not work out.
“I didn’t even want to go on this stupid date.”
Annabeth sighed, unable to hide the disappointment.
Despite her better judgment, she actually was looking forward to this date. Maybe it was the idea of finding someone to talk physics or classic Greek to. To have intellectual debates and spend time with.
To not be lonely anymore.
She placed her head glumly in her hand.
She even dressed up for the occasion.
Annabeth was the definition of practical. Her usual attire consisted of shirt, shorts, jacket if it was cold and hair tied up in a messy ponytail tucked under her Yankee’s hat (go Yanks!). She wasn’t at school to impress anyone. She was there to learn and fight off the occasional monster.
She knew that was the real reason she felt foolish: She bought into this. Like everything she had ever done in her life, Annabeth threw herself completely and utterly into the challenge of a first date.
Her normally messy, unkempt blonde hair was tastefully curled and pulled back into an elegant (But still practical) ponytail. She wore a long black dress that shimmered every time she moved with a matching shawl and black simple flats. She had even swallowed her pride and asked Silena (the only Aphrodite child she ever trusted) to help her with her make up.
“I should just go….”
“Annabeth?”
Annabeth blinked, completely caught off guard and mortified someone recognized her in this fancy restaurant until she noticed the familiar brown curls under a tacky beanie.
“Grover!” Annabeth beamed happily, giving her satyr friend a quick side hug “It’s good to see you!”
Grover Underwood was an old friend of Annabeth. They had met when he was sent to bring her to Camp Halfblood safely and they had been close friends ever since. Though between Grover’s job of disguising himself as a human and bringing demigods back safely and Annabeth starting college, the two hadn’t seen each other in a while.
“What are you doing here?”
Grover scratched his goatee nervously “Working, you know.”
Annabeth gave knowing nod and raised eyebrow as she scanned the room.
“The cook” Grover’s voice dropped to a whisper as he hunched closer “I’m certain he’s a demigod. I’m here to keep an eye on him.”
Grover stood to full height once again and smiled “So what are you doing here?”
Annabeth fidgeted under his gaze “I...well...I decided to take a break from my studies.”
Grover looked unconvinced “In a fancy restaurant in an equally fancy dress?”
Her cheeks burned brightly “Grover, don’t you have work to do?”
Grover’s nearly popped out of his head, his legs thrashing so wildly about Annabeth was scared he was about to take off in a scamper “OH YOU’RE RIGHT! Umm, can I take your order miss?”
Annabeth finally noticed his well dressed attire: A nice collared shirt (With the collar anxiously chewed upon) black slacks and loafers with a little notepad and pencil at the ready.
“Oh.” she muttered as it clicked into place “OH! Y-yes. I would like to order the burger and some water please.”
Grover scrawled his friend’s order and bolted for the kitchen, moving with an unusual but panicked grace.
Annabeth chuckled to herself before the loneliness fell upon her once more.
“I might as well enjoy myself so this night isn’t a complete failure.”
20 minutes later
“Umm, excuse me? Is this seat taken?”
Annabeth scrawled furiously upon her napkin, mumbling under her breath about the possibilities of X.
“….Hello?”
“If I carry over 47 and I...”
“Look, I’m not going to stand all night and talk to air.”
The table shook unexpectedly and knocked the studious girl out of her brainstorm.
Annabeth blinked “Wait, are you talking to….me?”
Annabeth could feel her cheeks turn a bright pink as she caught sight of the person in front of her.
He was roughly her age with long dishevel jet black hair swept to one side as if he just gotten back from a walk on the beach. His eyes were shimmering green, the kind of green only the ocean could muster. His smile was mischievous yet playful, one you would often find on a troublemaker. He wore a dark blue collared shirt that was freshly pressed and a rather cute tie with seashells. His hands were stuffed anxiously into his black dress pants as he waited for an invitation to sit.
“I...” Annabeth began.
“Are you Annabeth?” The stranger asked quietly, glancing to one side uncomfortably.
“Yes” she answered slowly “Yes! Did...”
“Grover” The strange answered simply “he called me over. Said he you might want some company.”
“Grover?” Annabeth tilted her quizzically before realization hit her “Grover!”
She whirled around to find her furry friend spying through the kitchen porthole.
Grover let out a frighten bleat before ducking out of sight.
Percy. That’s who was in front of her. Grover had called Percy.
Annabeth knew about Percy for a few years now though she never met him officially. He was another demigod Grover brought to Camp Halfblood and one the young satyr was determined to have her meet.
Annabeth managed to dodge meeting the mysterious Percy Jackson through her busy schedule but it seems Grover had finally gotten his way.
“Percy, right? Grover’s talked about you alot”
But never mentioned how cute he is.
Percy scratched the back of his neck “Yeah that’s me. I live close by and Grover said you were feeling down so...”
Annabeth rolled her eyes “He figured he send you to cheer me up?”
Percy shrugged “I’m pretty sure he just wanted us on a date. I can try to cheer you up. No promises though”
Despite herself, Annabeth giggled “At least you’ll try right?”
Percy gave a goofy grin “For pretty girl like you, why not?”
Annabeth’s blush worsened “Well take a seat and let’s see I can bore you away. I tend to have that effect on people.”
“Nice try Wisegirl but I’ll have you know nothing is more boring than sitting in a class for an hour with no idea what’s going on and no escape.”
“I’ve never had that problem” Annabeth beamed proudly.
Percy playfully waved her off “Yeah yeah, you’re super smart. So you’re gonna be my tutor?”
“Whoa whoa whoa” Annabeth grinned impishly “I never agreed to that.”
“You said you never had a problem in class, I have the attention of goldfish. Sounds like you need to tutor me.”
“So you have seaweed for brains?”
Percy grimaced “It’s the tie, huh?”
Annabeth nodded, trying to stifle a laugh “Really gives it away Seaweed brain.”
“It’s my mom! Thought it be cute or something” Percy groaned unhappily.
“I like it. It is cute in a geeky sort of way. Marine biologist?”
Percy gave her a confused stare.
“Your major.” Annabeth clarified.
“Oh” Percy grinned sheepishly “Nah, way too easy.”
“Too easy because you’re smart or….?”
“I am not smart.”
“I dunno. Obtuse maybe.”
Percy shook his head “No idea what that means.”
Annabeth snorted cutely, covering her face in embarrassment before staring daggers at Percy. Percy put up his hands innocently.
“Everything going well?”
Grover appeared, a well cooked and delicious burger in one hand and a fresh out of the oven blue pizza in the other.
Annabeth opened her mouth but Grover cut her off “Customer’s choice.”
Annabeth just nodded as Grover set down their plates.
“So” Grover began nervously “Not going to kill me?”
Percy gave a noncommittal shrug while Annabeth answered “Jury’s still out.”
“Oh, I hear someone calling me. Coming!” And as quickly as he came, Grover vanished.
Annabeth eyed the strangely bluish hue of the pizza Percy was digging into, unsure what to make of the odd choice.
“I like blue” Percy answered bluntly “Sue me.”
“I guess I’ve seen stranger.”
“Ha ha wisegirl. Just for that, we’re getting ice cream after.”
Annabeth smiled softly at the idea.
“That would be the worst seaweed brain. The absolute worst.”
