I think what really gets me about the "haha 'nonbinary' person who presents like the gender they were raised as (implying they're not really trans/nonbinary)" thing is that there is no nonbinary transition like MtF or FtM because there is no generally accepted nonbinary gender with specific traits to transition to. Appearance-wise and/or surgically, someone raised as a girl transitioning to be more masculine & someone raised as a boy transitioning to be more feminine are valid in their own right (and nonbinary ppl have just as much of a right to those transitions as binary ppl), but to insist that nonbinary people should follow general FtM/MtF transitions to be respected is exorsexist (and just generally fucked up in a bodily autonomy way) because we're not FtM/MtF. We're nonbinary.
