The Date Everything brainworms have taken over way faster than I could have ever predicted and it has been occupying my thoughts 24/7, so here's some animatic/animation and fanfic ideas!!! (Very centric to a few characters)

A Crack Treated Seriously fic where the Realized dateables are out in the world, using their past as objects to aid in their new lives, and figuring out exactly how the world and society works. In some interactions, they nonchalantly hint at their past as an object while talking to normal human beings, which confuses the hell out of many people. I think it'd be really funny if someone asks them about it and they just casually go, "Oh yeah! I used to be an object and the person who lived in the home I resided in found these high tech glasses that allowed them to interact with us as humanoids and turn all the objects into humans! Isn't it neat?"

A series of oneshots that is pretty slice-of-life that tell what happens after all the objects are Realized, most of them being interactions between the Player and the Realized dateables. Some include the characters popping over to the Player's to ask questions about how things work in the real world(legal stuff, society, etc), while some are the characters coming over just to spend time with the Player(like Eddie coming by for a drink or Volt coming over to dance with the Player or Hector painting masks with the Player or Mateo bringing over some new rescues for the Player to meet).

An Eddie and Volt centric Mafia AU because I can't get the image of those two being Mafia bosses and it's driving me nuts

Mateo-centric story post-Realization of his adventures rescuing people and animals across the world because that would be pretty cool.

A simple, sweet coffee shop AU with Kopi because coffee shop AUs are just a classic, and who wouldn't love a sweet fic with Kopi <3

A Human AU(maybe a college or highschool AU) with Mac just being this super cool and smart stranger that the reader/MC meet randomly and kept running into, so they started to get close and get to know Mac better. Idk how to explain this better because it sounded better in my head, but I just really like the idea of more Mac interactions. Also, this is based on this minicomic series and pretty much sums up what I'm talking about:

A sort of what-if concept animation/animatic to the song The Call by Regina Spektor where it takes the concept of "What if Volt really did dissappear after you reset the system?" It would start with the beginning of Eddie and Volt's relationship when Volt was formed and Eddie's surprise at his appearance("it started out as a feeling") and continues to show clips of them getting closer and closer(scene ends at the line "which then turns into a quiet word"), goes to the struggle with the power("and then the word grew louder and louder"), shows the whole scene when the power went out and the Player had to fix and reset the system("Til there was a battle cry"), and then jumps to when Volt disappears after the reset, which is shown as Volt fading before Eddie's eyes as it looks like he says the lines "I'll come back, when you call me, no need to say goodbye". Volt is smiling softly, accpeting the fact that he will be gone for now, while Eddie reaches out, eyes filled with sorrow. The following scenes are Eddie being miserable, having flashbacks of the time before Volt("just because everything's changing, doesn't mean it's never been this way before"), and the other objects in the house coming over to the bar(which has been closed) to try and provide comfort("all you can do is try to know who your friends are"). Eddie suddenly decides that he's going to try with all his might to bring Volt back, even if he doesn't know exactly how he did it("as you head off to the war). He sees flashbacks of Volt talking to the patrons in the bar, announcing the start of the show, and finally, Volt's bright smile directed at Eddie, to remind him exactly why he needs to do this("Pick a star on the dark horizon, and follow the light"). As Eddie prepares to make his first attempt, he thinks the words, "You'll come back, when it's over, no need to say goodbye." The instrumental section shows clips of Eddie trying to bring Volt back(which shows crackles of energy and sparks), draining his energy with each attempt(the Player comes by often to make sure Eddie is recharging before the next try). When the lyrics start again, it shows Eddie, closing his eyes and concentrating to make one more attempt, trying to remember how it felt like to split himself in two("now we're back to the beginning; it's just a feeling that no one knows yet"). He struggles to get a grasp on the feeling, brows furrowed, so he tries harder to connect with how it felt to be with Volt, how Volt completed and complimented him so well("but just because they can't feel it to, doesn't mean that you have to forget"). This leads to Eddie remembering Volt, face relaxing as the memories flood in("let your memories grow stronger and stronger"). As he relives these memories, the electric glow in front of him grows and grows, until it's brighter than it's ever been in the previous attempts, then it seems to dim, but not dissappear. That's when Eddie slowly opens his eyes to see the results, and his eyes widen in disbelief("until they're before your eyes"). The shot widens out to reveal that Volt has been brought back to his physical form a few feet away("you'll come back, when they call you"). Then, it focuses on Volt smiling softly at Eddie("no need to say goodbye. You'll come back"), and walking over to him, who is crying in relief("when they call you"), to finally connect with him once more as things slowly fade to white as the song ends("no need to say goodbye").

Wow. I didn't think I'd be able to plan the whole thing. Welp, if you want a more organized version of this, just ask and I'll make a script or something like that so the sequence is a bit clearer.

Anyway, this is pretty long so I'll end it here and maybe make another one later down the line. If you actually use any of these ideas, please please please send them to me because I need more Date Everything content to feed the brainworms.

RANDOM slashfic HEADCANNON?

More silly AF slashfic content. This is more of a situation headcannon

The slashers are having a diss war with each other and you; taking rounds each time someone quits or cant think of anything else to say.

Their reactions:

Jay is excited to play games, is super excited that you are suggesting first, and is very confused/intrigued by a game that involves insulting each other. It's not mean, right? You reassure it's not. You make a mental note not to make any "your mom" jokes.

Leather is honestly exhausted, but he agrees. He can take a joke, so he will join. He also is eager to go against Mike or Ghost. He is confident actually, thinks he has some good ones to share.

Mike says no at first, but once you explain (and beg a little) he accepts the challenge. Despite your protests that it's not a contest he is already determined to win. "You can't just flat out insult anyone either, it has to have a punch line. It's just joking". You remind him. He grunts "I know what a joke is."

It starts out with Ghost vs MC

He has been waiting to roast your ass and you have been waiting to give him a taste of his own medicine as well but in a fun way that's not malicious. It starts off pretty good, some laughs out of both of you and the others while you tease each other. He takes it up a notch and starts to lay some serious disses. You of course aren't that fazed. It's Ghost of course and you know that at the end of this game it's just all in good fun so you start laying down some of your own but he can't take what he dishes out. Threatens to stab you but kills the mood instead; gets disqualified.

It's you vs Jay next. Surprisingly enough his roasts are pretty good. He starts off very silly and teasing but suddenly switches up on you. You are a bit blind sided by this because you didn't expect him to have some pretty good ones. There's a lot of laughs between everyone, especially you two and it ends when you can't stop giggling and you count yourself out. Jay is happy being the winner and of course apologizes immediately and lets you know he was just playing. You have to reassure him yes you know its all just jokes and no you are not mad at him.

Next its Jay vs Leather.

Leather holds his own pretty well, comes out with some pretty clever jokes that aren't too serious. Jay and him are having a lot of fun and both are laughing at each other. Ghost about dies when Jay dishes out a really funny comeback to Leather's diss. Leather eventually loses, same way you did; wheezing and unable to think of another one. Jay is the winner again! Leather laughs shakes his hand and tells him it was a good game while composing himself again.

Now its just Mike and Jay. Oh boy.

You were worried that Mike would get angry, but he is not. In fact, he remains expressionless and unbothered. He just lets Jay just roast him, diss after diss, after diss. You all 3 (you, leather and ghost) are giggling, except you can't help but feel like Mike's being quiet for a reason. He is still unfazed and not speaking. Can he not think of a joke? You wonder if maybe you should just tell Jay to stop when it finally happens. He holds the hairbrush you all were using as a pretend mic to his lips. Jay teases him with a diss that ends on a question and mike just replies

"Your mom"

Jay's eyes grow wide. He doesn't reply. He has an unreadable expression and you and the others feel so tense. Jay just starts walking off and mumbles something like "fine. you win"

You chew out Mike for taking it too far, Ghost tries not to laugh but is unsuccessful because it was pretty damn funny. Leather just sighs, helps you check on Jay. He is stress baking in the kitchen, and " No. Mike can't have any 😡"

Eventually Mike finds Jay by himself to talk later that evening.

Mike: I'm sorry.....

Leather stifles his laugh with a cough because he sees you upset, and offers to help get things cleaned up.

MC/you: NO! You just got out of the shower! AND STOP LAUGHING GHOST.

Ghost quiets down surprised a little bit. Oh wow, you are heated this time.

You turn to Mike and Jay.

MC/ you: YOU BOTH MADE THIS MESS, YOU ARE CLEANING IT UP. RIGHT NOW!!!

You pause only to sniff the air temporarily

Jay has a horrified expression at your observation. He turns to the oven, black smoke is trailing out of the door.

to answer your question on the greninja post, ash greninja was created because they wanted ash to have a mega but didn’t want him to catch any older pokemon or bring back any of his older ones and the issue was he only had kalos mons(plus pikachu) which don’t have megas(besides diancie) so they just. gave greninja his own thing. and then they gave him a mega in journeys anyway

well! an interesting find, tumblr user punkishtoxtricity. i'm surprised we've got this amount of insider knowledge on the development of anipoké. though i would argue that ash-greninja doesn't really fill the role of A Mega. and i would also argue that this feels like the first time i've ever seen them give such strong favoritism to one (1) starter out of a triplet (aside from charizard, which bascially doesn't even count as a starter anymore because it's just Fuckin Charizard). i feel like if they wanted to give any pokémon their Own Thing i'm surprised they didn't do it to pikachu. why greninja specifically. sure i guess

maybe i already expressed specifically this amidst a thicket of tags but speaking of the Unexpected & Dynamic all throughout bsol's finale of a [hey all the characters are in the same place] beautiful stretch of vivacity, it's great that like. i mean one figures you're not gonna get [villain immediately kills hero] & you're right b/c that would be a surprise & slightly humorously so but too unrewarding in all other ways to be worth it as the end of a whole entire story & arcs here....but then the ways that banana has this like totally Self Imposed arc about wanting to be able to do whatever it takes to help the musician in return / in general, self imposed b/c the musician himself is like no you're good you're perfect my special little guy i will die without, & we're not exactly subject to any other characters' input like um btw banana you & your Failure to be as heroically bold & brave as to do whatever it takes, as the musician does, except when he feels he can't at some points including if he doesn't have banana with him on this journey, but not b/c he asks anything more of him but to be there with him on this journey....
