I don’t think Daniel Craig enjoyed playing James Bond very much. He probably enjoyed the financial security of the very large paycheques. But it doesn’t seem as though he had much respect for the character. Which is fair enough, since Bond is, let’s face it, a thug.

In contrast, he’s always seemed absolutely delighted to talk about his experiences playing Benoit Blanc in the Knives Out movies. The middle aged gay detective with the weird accent.

May Mr Craig become more associated in the public consciousness with the roles he enjoyed playing than the roles he probably took only for the money.
