and I laugh, seethe in awe, soak in her resilience, in her crest and trough of gross manipulation and addiction, fear for her,  the day I follow her to her deathbed.

Insight

This poem is really indicative of the obvious cognitive dissonance that was going on in my head. I hadn't met my wife yet and I still had that incredibly toxic group of friends around---but this was around the time I'd started to think about shedding all of that.

there were three layers:

distrust of my mother, and unease

defense of my mother, because I'd really started to understand what she had to endure

and still...being both disgusted and idk confused and hurt about my mother's gambling addiction

Pregnancy Update: 39 weeks!|04.18.2017.

Hi there! What’s up? :)

Time flies so fast. Literally yesterday I learned about pregnancy, and already in a week my baby will come here! In a week, guys... Oh my god, I'm so impatient to see him. My due date is fixed exactly on the 25th. I do not know if I'll give birth later or earlier. But to be honest, I always gave birth on time. Right on due date, yes.

How far along - 39 weeks! Stretch marks - Nope. Sleep - Ugh, about 2-3 hours at night? In other words, not very good. Sometimes, I wake up in the middle of the night because of uncomfortable position during sleep. Therefore, if count the time when I'm in a sleep, it's about 2-3 hours. Food craving - Nothing. Belly button in or out - Out. Symptoms - Fatigue, backache. What I’m looking forward to - To meet our baby! Baby in veggie/fruit terms - Mini-watermelon Happy or moody most of the time - Both. Gender - A baby boy!

Well, we’re all doing pretty good! At least, my heartburn stopped bother me. It was just horror... Actually, in my previous pregnancies I always had heartburn too, I hate it, really haha! I was at the hospital recently, so the my midwife examined me. With the baby, everything is perfect,he's in the right position, a pretty active baby, by the way! She asked me to go to the hospital this Thursday to keep track of the time before delivery right there. Or we can come to the hospital when I will ready to labor. I chose the second option, because I think it would be better, since I don't feel very comfortable be in hosptal for a few days.

However, tomorrow we will get ready a hospital bag for me and the baby. We'll put it in the car right away so that, in case of anything, we could quickly get to the hospital without wasting time.

And yes, the nursery is ready! We finally finished it, we were satisfied with the result. I did not take the photos, so I'll show you later. Also, we put the bassinet in our room, because at least the first 2-3 months the baby will sleep with us.
