Metformin Update Week 1

Today is April 27th, 2017 and here's been my week on Metformin so far. The biggest thing I've noticed is that I don't feel hungry. I eat because I know it's time to eat and that I should eat until I'm nauseous because my portions are so. much. smaller. The other equally biggest thing I've noticed it that I have to go to the bathroom and I mean GO about four to five times a day where before my Metformin I would only have to GO after I drank my morning coffee. And let me tell you, this is not fun. My tummy at night hurts and I feel like I'm gonna throw up if I'm up too long after I take the Metformin and all day after I wake up it's just me going to the bathroom a bunch of times and feeling uncomfy. I've also noticed emotional changes and fatigue but that could be because I'm not longer going to the gym every day. The emotional changes I'm talking about is that I did nothing but cry yesterday or get so angry I saw red at everything and nothing. I'd cry because a friend tagged me in a thing on Facebook or I saw a video of cats etc. Also Dr.OldGuy called my script into walmart without checking how much it would be without insurance and it was $57USD for the generic birth control he wanted me on. I told them no thank you and I'm patiently waiting for Laura (my midwife) to come back from having the flu so that I might be able to actually get this sorted before my trip to the Grand Canyon. Also, I've lost 2.7lbs. I was 222.1lbs when I went to my midwife appointment last week (04.20.2017) and today (04.27.2017) I weigh 219.4lbs. It's the first time I think I've actually lost weight in a long time. I'm trying to be as low carb as possible. I hope to adapt to a keto diet like discussed but it's hard and with the emotional roller coaster I've been on I've fallen off the low carb wagon once or twice this week. Okay team, I'm exhausted at 3:52pm on a Thursday and I'm sitting in my work office in the comfy chair away from my desk to write this. I think I need a breather before I do any more real "work" today. I'm just gonna rest my eyes for a few minutes and see where that takes me. Thanks for listening, if anyone's out there. Xoxo, Kay
