In 2020, Liam Payne stood out for his commitment to bringing music and happiness into the home of fans. The closing show for the series of lives was aired last Saturday.

The past year has been one of the most unusual we have ever lived. In the music world, the impact was great, since live shows cannot happen. However, lives emerged as an alternative to bring fans closer and strengthen industry workers.

Liam Payne was one of the artists who got most involved with online shows, bringing a number of them. The LP Show featured four acts, which began in July last year.

In addition to being a way of connecting fans, Payne also used the opportunity to help. Part of the value of the tickets went to The Trussell Trust, a project that collaborates with a network of around 1,200 food banks in the United Kingdom.

In addition to the shows, Liam also often interacted with the fan base for lives on Instagram and TikTok, always thinking of bringing a little distraction to the quarantine of the fans.

The LP Show's best moments

Liam's Birthday The second show, Act 2, took place on August 29, Liam's birthday. He performed the show as a way to celebrate the date with fans. The setlist chosen was more extensive than the first, including songs from his first album, LP1, and the much requested songs of his time as part of One Direction. Liam also received several birthday messages from fans and friends, including friend and former bandmate Niall Horan.

Halloween Show The LP Show Act 3 was held on Halloween and featured a super production. With different costumes and makeup, Liam brightened the atypical Halloween for those who could not go out to enjoy the date. Dressed as Jack Sparrow, he covered songs by Billie Eillish and the band 5 Seconds Of Summer. The show also featured guest appearances like Tom Felton, the famous Draco Malfoy.

Farewell show The last show in the series delivered everything the fans wanted. Through his Twitter, Liam asked for help in selecting the songs from the setlist, so that he could please everyone. The singer presented an impeccable setlist and the nostalgia was strong with the songs of One Direction that he had not sung live for years. Before singing You and I, Liam left an exciting dedication for the fans. “You allowed me to continue doing what I like most, which is performing my music. And thanks to your continued support, my team's breadwinner has remained. We can do this together, you and me.” Liam also performed for the first time the songs Remember and Heart Meet Break, from his first album, much requested by fans. The singer also showed that he has talent to spare and his vocals are more powerful than ever. Fans were shocked by the hight note during You and I. During the live, even Louis Tomlinson admitted to watching his friend's show. At the end of the show, Liam Payne thanked the fans for their support and said that the next time they see him, it will be with new music.

We are already looking forward to what lies ahead, but we know that he deserves that moment of rest!

Btw, bts teased Tae and Jimin so much today, like To Tae, “ tell us about your first love!” And to Jimin, “You seem a little broken today, you probably didn’t get enough sleep.” Not saying they meant Vmin, they could tease them about a gf/bf we don’t know about,..but the possibilities, hehe. yeah i am seeing too much here lol.

Also, there were so many little moments too! Like Taehyung’s cute laugh after Jimin seemed ‘broken’. Honestly that was so cute.

Butterfly

It used to be different. A canvas, covered with light strokes, an array of colors that would dwarf a rainbow. And like delicate silk it would dance in front of any eye that was open enough to visualize the mesmerizing song of the sea-foam offered by the canvas. 

Once, maybe an eon ago, that sea would invite everyone to play in its waves. They would enjoy its warm embrace. Their faces would meet the kindest rays of sunshine, with the purest delight. But then one day I followed the rabbit, when the solitary fog set and the clocks hit twenty-five. 

The hole called for me, how could I deny an invitation? At the bottom, a wooden table. On it, a small flask. Confused, I take it. What a beautiful glass, I think. “Drink me!” And so, I did. I am tiny now and fragile. My confusion morphs into anxiety. “How can I get out?” I ask. But of course, that was no option. I am at the bottom of a pit. Yet finally I see a small wooden door staring at me. 

I could have noticed the rot. I could have seen the broken hinges. I could have seen the tired frame – I could only think of fleeing. 

Jumping through the keyhole, I swallow a heavy gasp. I see a beach, or so it was, for it was missing a sea.

A field of salt that extends for miles, broken logs and scattered bones. I look for the Sun just to notice him curled up and shivering in fear. 

In the distance, far beyond where the eyes can see, a soft silhouette of a person approaching me. “Stop!” I scream, “Don’t come near!” 

Now my anxiety morphs into terror. Could it be that door was a mirror? Could it be I am seeing a reflection of what had become of my canvas? No. I must find the exit. I have no time for such foolish things. There is always a path to take, even in this hollow wasteland. 

Path… And that is when I remembered; these logs were once trees. Ancient trees that turned their exhausted faces away from me - and next to them friendly spirits, the ones that anxiously warned me. I remember, finally. Terror morphs into realization. I did not fall into a pit, no. The river had carried me here.
