I have been working on a story and while trying to fall asleep got hit with some inspo for an exchange in a conversation. Only two lines but I wanted to write them down because they were good.

I sat up, opened the notes app on my phone and proceeded to spend thirty minutes just cranking out an entire scenes worth of dialogue.

I think I was possessed by the spirit of the characters

I’m new to Formula 1. So I was wondering if you could explain to me how a driver wins a championship. Google said something about points, but it was confusing.

A driver wins a championship by accumulating the most points over a season of multiple races, this year it’s 23.

Every driver from 1st place to 10th place gets a certain number of points

1st - 25points

2nd - 18points

3rd - 15points

4th - 12points

5th - 10 points

6th - 8 points

7th - 6 points

8th - 4 points

9th - 2 points

10th - 1 point

And there is also an additional point for the fastest lap.

Basically the driver who has the most amount of points at the end of the season wins the championship. Sometimes a driver will have enough points earlier in the season that no one can catch them, so they win it early, but that still means they’ll have the most points at the end.

1. how do you take your tea / coffee?

depends on the tea! my go to is a rooibos with two sugars and milk especially if it's after 15:00 but for caffeine i drink Barry's Tea (my friend got me hooked and it does simply taste better) with three sugars and milk. after 7pm i drink florals and/or herbals, usually sweetened with honey or brown sugar (careful to avoid green tea mixtures). my go to right before bed is a peppermint tea with two sugars or a hot milk and brown sugar but i also love those camomile bed time tea mixes. for coffees i have a vanilla latte if im local or a vietnamese if im in the city but I never make coffee at home!

12. is your handwriting more print, cursive, or a mix?

a mix! i learnt how to write cursive properly but i write in a print that slurs together over certain letters and phrases for speed! people usually compliment it for looking script-like but it's pretty atrocious; it's a wonder what a good pen will hide!

23. default font when typing?

just whatever the default in the program is I'm not one to tamper. my essays were all times new roman 12point 1.5 spaced but that was the standard formatting for the uni

#letontoncinephile EUROVISION SONG CONTEST: THE STORY OF FIRE SAGA (David Dobkin, 2020) [Initialement publié le 11/07/2020] Quelle drôle d’idée ont eu les Américains… une comédie sur l’Eurovision ! Le concours européen de la chanson… une de mes passions ! Et en cette année d’interruption pour cause de virus (première annulation en 65 ans) c’était plutôt chouette de retrouver ce petit hommage de la part de Netflix. Ce n’est pas un documentaire sur le concours mais une comédie très américaine, facile mais efficace. Tous les clichés et préjugés y passent, mais c’est très drôle (quand on s’y connait et on fait preuve d’autodérision). Quelques incohérences vis-à-vis du vrai festival s’y sont glissées pour favoriser l’action. Tant pis pour l’Espagne, obligée de passer par la case demi-finale… Deux loosers islandais à la conquête du plus gros concours musical au monde, un méchant (pas très viril) russe, des gueuleuses, des feux d’artifice, de l’eurodance… et plein de cameos de vrais concurrents du festival. Merci pour le cadeau ! C’est l’Eurovision qu’on a pu avoir en 2020, et ce n’est pas si mal.
