UPDATE: THIS IS NO LONGER THE FINAL VERSION. ACCORDINGLY I HAVE TURNED THE REBLOGS OF THIS POST OFF, IT REMAINS ONLY AS VERSION REFERENCE.
Okay, so HOPEFULLY I've made my final major changes to my chronology? Comments and feedback are much appreciated, see the notes at the bottom. Titles in italics have been moved/updated since last time.
The ‘Gloria Scott’ - Summer 1875 [1] (Framing: Winter 1882-3?)
The maths as stated don’t work, as 1855 + 30 = 1885, and these events can’t occur after A Study In Scarlet. 1875 would have to be Holmes’s second year of college.
The Musgrave Ritual - Spring 1879 (Framing: Winter 1882-3?)
It is stated to have been four years since Holmes last saw Musgrave. Holmes mentions telling Watson about the events of ‘Gloria Scott’. Watson must be living at 221b at the time, as his intro describes Holmes’s extremely messy habits in terms of lodging with him.
A Study In Scarlet - January to March 1881
Watson states the date he discovered Holmes’s profession explicitly as the 4th of March, which was several weeks after they moved in together. I find it likely that it was at most mid-January when they met, and that Watson spent February observing Holmes’s habits and trying to figure him out.
The Resident Patient - October 1881
Watson describes these events as being ‘towards the end of the first year during which Holmes and I shared chambers’, and then specifies that it was October.
The Valley Of Fear - January 1882 [2]
It is stated to be ‘in the late eighties’, but Holmes appears to still be getting used to Watson’s sense of humour, which he claims is ‘developing’, which points to it being earlier while Watson is still recovering from his illness. Any later and Holmes would already be very familiar with his closest companion’s personality.
The Yellow Face - Early Spring 1882
(I base this placement on character dynamics.)
The Speckled Band - April 1883
It is directly stated to be early April 1883.
The Beryl Coronet - February 1884
Watson is living at Baker St. It is stated to be February.
The Copper Beeches - Early Spring 1884
Watson is living at Baker St and appears to be unmarried. I will take it that references to SCAN, IDEN, TWIS, NOBL, and BLUE are self-promotion on Watson’s part due to publication order.
Charles Augustus Milverton - Winter 1884
I get the feeling this is an earlier case, as Watson’s attitude is oddly naïve when it comes to morality and the ability of the law to handle Milverton. I cannot see him behaving like this/holding these beliefs if he has already experienced Moriarty with Holmes for instance. He is also very jumpy while he and Holmes are performing their burglary.
The Hound Of The Baskervilles - October 1885 [3]
Mortimer’s stick is dated 1884, and Holmes notes this was five years ago (making it 1889), but Watson neither appears to be married nor in medical practice, and since this story was explicitly written as to have occurred before Holmes’s ‘death’, this precludes it being set after 1888.
The Greek Interpreter - Summer 1886?
I feel like these events are happening a decent number of years after Holmes and Watson met each other, as Watson refers to his relationship with Holmes as a ‘long and intimate acquaintance’, during which up to this point Holmes had ‘never’ referred to his family.
The Reigate Squires - April 1887
It is directly stated to be April 1887.
The Sign Of Four - July 1887 [4]
It is stated to be July (later mistakenly stated as September) 1888, but this contradicts both SCAN (March 1888) and FIVE (September 1887). There may also be a pearl missing as Mary describes their delivery?
The Cardboard Box - August 1887
Holmes mentions both A Study In Scarlet and The Sign Of Four by name -- which implies that Watson is a very speedy writer, as this would be only a few weeks later. However, this may be taken as self promotion on Watson’s part.
The Noble Bachelor - Autumn 1887
This story is dated to 1887 via Lord St. Simon’s age, and also by Watson calling the events a ‘four year old drama’ at the time he is writing (presumably 1891), but Watson is soon to be married -- which is not possible if he has not yet met his fiancée. Dating SIGN to July 1887 fixes this discrepancy.
A Scandal In Bohemia - March 1888
Watson explicitly dates the start of this case to the 20th of March 1888, and states that he hasn’t seen Holmes for several months after his marriage (which would be in the late autumn to winter of 1887 - possibly extending into Jan/Feb 1888)
The Stockbroker’s Clerk - June 1888
Watson states that he acquired his practice shortly after’ his marriage, and that he was too busy to visit Holmes at Baker Street for three months. Counting most of March as the first month (per SCAN), that takes us to the June he states, which is the first time Holmes has visited Watson at his practice.
The Naval Treaty - July 1888
Watson describes these events as occurring in ‘the July which immediately succeeded’ his marriage, which is the July of 1888.
[The Second Stain - July 1888**]
Due to it heavily contradicting the events referenced as ‘The Adventure of the Second Stain’ in NAVA, I take it that the story of this name is heavily if not entirely fictionalised. This is when the real events that inspired it occurred.
The Crooked Man - August 1888
Watson states that these events began ‘one summer night, a few months after’ his marriage, which would make it 1888. It cannot be July, since Watson states in NAVA that the July following his marriage featured ‘three cases of interest’, and I doubt Holmes would be showing up at Watson’s home near midnight so early in their re-established partnership for it to be June, so I suggest it to be August.
The Five Orange Pips - September 1888 [5]
It is stated to be September 1887, but even if SIGN occurred in July of that year, Watson and Mary have not married yet for him to be ‘staying at Baker Street’ while she is away visiting her (dead) mother.
The Boscombe Valley Mystery - Spring 1889
The Man With The Twisted Lip - June 1889
I place this after BOSC, as Holmes takes it as a given that Watson’s wife will not object to him sending a note and running off on a case in the middle of the night. (I suspect he’s wrong and will be due a bollocking after breakfast)
The Engineer’s Thumb - Summer 1889
The Dying Detective - November 1889
Watson describes this as happening in his ‘second year of marriage’, which, 1888 being his first, works out as 1889.
A Case Of Identity - September 1890
Holmes comments in REDH that the case of Mary Sutherland occurred ‘the other day’. Assuming he isn’t the type to use ‘the other day’ to mean several months ago, etc, this would put it within the last few weeks.
The Red-Headed League - October 1890
It is directly stated to be October 9th 1890
The Blue Carbuncle - December 1890
Watson states it to be ‘the second morning after Christmas’, making it the 27th of December. When discussing cases that didn’t involve a crime, Holmes cites the events of SCAN, IDEN, and TWIS. This also lines up with the publication order, BLUE being the seventh short story, and Watson states that of the ‘last six cases’ he has written up, three of them were legally free of crime (morally however…)
The Final Problem - April to May 1891
Holmes has apparently been working in France since ‘the winter of 1890’ when he suddenly shows up in Watson’s consulting room on the 24th of April. His ‘death’ occurs on the 4th of May.
The Empty House - April 1894
The date Ronald Adair was murdered is stated to have been March 30th 1894. Taking into account the time required for the inquest - which has just concluded- I estimate it to be the first week of April, which lines up with Watson's description of it being an 'April evening'. Additionally, March 30th 1894 was a Friday, which would likely have delayed the start of the inquest to Monday, April 2nd.
The Norwood Builder - Summer 1894
Stated to take place ‘several months’ after Holmes’s return. Watson has moved back to Baker Street and sold his practice.
Silver Blaze - Late Summer 1894
(I would like to set Silver Blaze to be after NORW, since I think Holmes and Watson deserve a fun case after that one. I believe it to be post-hiatus since Watson is evidently resident in Baker Street and does not appear to be in practice at this time.)
The Golden Pince-Nez - November 1894
It is directly stated to be November 1894.
The Red Circle - Winter 1894
Watson is living at Baker Street, and Holmes refers to his medical practice in the past tense. Though there are no other suggestions as to the time period, I feel safe putting it in 1894 as the year is said to have been particularly busy. (Taking up three volumes of Watson’s yearbooks!)
The Solitary Cyclist - April 1895
It is directly stated to be April 23rd 1895.
The Three Students - May 1895?
It is directly stated to be 1895, though Watson declines to give any more information than that. I suppose it to be around May, since the case involves university exams.
Black Peter - July 1895
It is directly stated to be ‘the first week of July’ 1895.
The Bruce-Partington Plans - November 1895
It is directly stated to be ‘the third week of November, in the year 1895’.
The Veiled Lodger - Early 1896
It is directly stated to be ‘early in 1896’
The Shoscombe Old Place - Autumn 1896?
(I hover this story nebulously here due to a lack of stories in 1896.)
The Missing Three-Quarter - February 1896-7
Described as occurring ‘seven or eight years ago’ from the time of writing, presumably 1904. (I don’t see the point of ascribing it to one or the other currently, as it doesn’t make much difference to the order of surrounding stories.)
The Devil’s Foot - March 1897
It is directly stated to be March 1897
The Abbey Grange - Winter 1897
It is directly stated to be ‘towards the end of the winter of’ 1897.
Wisteria Lodge - March 1898 [6]
It is stated to be March 1892, but this is impossible as Holmes is presumed dead at that time. It also can’t be March ‘91 as Holmes is too busy at that time, and referencing REDH eliminates March ‘90 or any year earlier. Further, Holmes complains of boredom due to a lack of cases, which eliminates 1894 due to a very high number of cases in that year (he also won’t be back for a few weeks yet). Holmes is also busy in March ‘95, ‘96, and ‘97. It is not until 1898 that there may be time for him to be bored by March.
The Six Napoleons - Late May/Early June 1898
It must be the end of May or the start of June, as Beppo was arrested and sentenced to a year in prison in late May of the previous year. (I’d like to set this one near DANC, since Holmes deserves the praise.)
The Dancing Men - July 1898
Mr Cubitt says that he met his wife while in London ‘for the jubilee last year’, which would be Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee, and that Elsie received a letter from America ‘about a month ago, at the end of June’, making it July.
The Sussex Vampire - November 1898
I date this story to after 1897, as that is the year vampires rose significantly in the public consciousness.
The Retired Colourman - Summer 1899
Amberley married his wife in 1897, and Holmes comments that the events that have resulted in their contact with him have occurred ‘within two years’.
The Priory School - May 1901?
Years listed with regard to Lord Holdernesse date the story post 1900, and wording makes it seem that that is not the present year.
The Disappearance of Lady Frances Carfax - Spring/Summer 1901?
The Problem Of Thor Bridge - October 1901
The Three Garridebs - June 1902
It is directly stated to be June 1902
The Illustrious Client - September 1902
It is directly stated to be September 1902. Watson has moved out of Baker Street, and is living in Queen Anne Street.
The Blanched Soldier - January 1903
It is directly stated to be January 1903. Holmes claims that Watson has ‘deserted [him] for a wife’.
The Mazarin Stone - Summer 1903
Watson is visiting Baker Street, and comments that nothing has changed in his absence, which infers this to occur after his second marriage. He also comments that a dummy of Holmes has been ‘used before’, referencing the events of EMPT.
The Three Gables - 1903?
Watson has not seen Holmes ‘in some days’. It appears that he is visiting Baker Street at the time.
The Creeping Man - September 1903
As originally published, the date is stated as September 1902, but when collected in Case-Book, this changes to 1903. I place it in 1903 as otherwise it would be extremely occurring extremely close to ILLU.
The Lion’s Mane - July 1907
It is directly stated to be ‘towards the end of July 1907’. Holmes is retired.
His Last Bow: The War Service Of Sherlock Holmes - August 1914
It is directly stated to be August 2nd 1914. Holmes has been undercover for the past two years. He is described as a ‘man of sixty’, but I’ll take that as artistic license since sixty is a reasonable estimate for someone in their late 50’s.
Notes:
This chronology was started in direct opposition to and due to frustration with Baring-Gould's chronology. Any comments or suggestions based on it will be disregarded.
For convenience's sake, I largely disregard publication dates except for when they provide vital context for when a story occurred. Unless stated otherwise, it will be assumed that Watson is writing the stories roughly in real time. This also saves me the headache of trying to account for Holmes referencing stories that Watson wrote while he was 'dead' (i.e. basically everything between SCAN and EMPT)
It is my aim with this chronology to take into account all stated dates, and take them as correct except for where they blatantly contradict others. (e.g. SIGN being dated to either July or September 1888, when FIVE references Watson's wife in September 1887 and SCAN refers to his marriage in March 1888; Wisteria Lodge being dated to March 1892 when Holmes is 'dead' at this time)
It is also my intention that Watson is only married twice, the first time to Mary Morstan in late 1887 and the second to an unknown Mrs Watson in late 1902/early 1903 (being strictly canonical, my own headcanons of him retiring to Sussex with Holmes aside)
I estimate that Holmes was born January 6th 1857, making him 18 at the time of GLOR and 24 at the time of STUD. Also by this estimate he would be 57 at the time of His Last Bow.
I estimate that Watson was born 23rd May 1853, making him 27 at the time of STUD. This would make him 61 at the time of His Last Bow.

Writblr Intro:
Hello All!!!
I've been meaning to do a proper intro so better late then never!
Who Am I?
You can call me Dandelion. I'm 23 years old, I use they/them pronouns, I'm English and I am a queer, trans, neurodivergent fantasy writer. I've not had anything published yet but it's my aim.
I have a background in theatre and circus so performing arts tend to turn up in my work. I also love making maps and studying conlangs! I do a lot of art and reading as hobbies, but my favourite pass time is playing dnd!
What Do I Write?
I write mainly fantasy, but also scifi and historical fiction. I also dabble in poetry and I would like to learn how to write for games and screen at some point. For now though, it's all novel writing as far as the eye can see.
My favourite trope to write is found family (I blame all the dungeons and dragons I play). I also write a lot of queer characters and try to diversify my casts as much as possible. My work tends to be very character driven although I do love world building a lot, especially building different cultures and places. I'm best st dialogue and really struggle with building plots. I also have a deep love for history, specifically the 1700s and Anglo saxon - medieval Britain, so that's usually finds its way into my work as well.
You can find my work on Patreon here
What Do I Read?
Unsurprisingly, it's mostly fantasy. I used to read over 100 books a year, but university made me hit a massive reading slump which I've been slowly recovering from. So the main thing keeping me going right now is Robin Hobb, although ive only got a few of her books left! I also listen to a lot of audiobooks.
My WIPs:
Information on my current work is under the break!!
Feypocalypse
Feypocalypse is a queer, fantasy horror comic set in medieval England following the events of a Fey Apocalypse in the 1300s. It follows a group of knights trying to survive in a world that has been turned into a Fey hunting ground, whilst protecting the Changeling child they accidentally adopted. The current plan is eight issues, to be published on Patreon and then printed as a complete novel at the end! It will be written by myself and illustrated by my amazing co-creator @withlovefromthecrowss.
The Legend of The Rat Bastards (vols. 1 & 2)
Now available to read on my patreon!
I recently finished playing in a Curse of Strahd campaign that lasted about 2 years and was one of the best dnd experiences of my life. So of course, I decided to write it up in novel form so that I and the other players could always return to it. Our paladin was an extremely detailed note taker so I've been borrowing their notes. It's currently the longest piece of writing I’ve ever done and I add to it every day. It's from the pov of my character, a human necromancer called Sepulcrave who has a pretty crazy character arc and it's my current main WIP, even though its a personal project.
Eye of the Falcon King (working title)
A secondary-world medieval fantasy novel about identity, rebellion, and manipulation. In a world where some few people have the ability to shape-shift into birds, the king seeks out these people to be his personal servants, messengers and spies. Turik is a young boy able to turn into a falcon and becomes a member of the King's circle. But after a tragedy befalls his best friend it begins to become apparent that the king is not as benevolent as he seems and Turik must come to terms with the knowledge that his reality is a lie. This book is about breaking free from manipulative forces, the ways invisible disabilities are ignored and pushed aside, and mostly about how the monarchy is terrible. Also queer people because all my stories have queer characters.
Otherlings (working title)
It's 1875 and Eliza Farthing's twin brother Alexander has just reappeared in her life after seven years. Except he's not her twin, he's her changeling. And Eliza isn't always Eliza, sometimes he's Francis. The world's of the two twins - one fey, one queer - are about to become very intertwined against their wishes. The two have to fight against their family, the police, a morally corrupt scientist, inter-community distrust, and their own dislike for each other, or both of them will never regain the lives they so desperately need and desire. Also there's a circus. The book deals with identity, secrecy, hatred, and community. It's a book about found family, about accepting yourself and others, about not needing to be seen to exist and be worth something. Mostly it's about sticking together despite your differences.
So that's my current WIPs! I'll add more as I get them, but that's all for now! Thank you for taking an interest in my work and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to send me an ask :)

Oc intro: Eva Blodwell (HPHL)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eva Leonora Blodwell • 13/6/1875 • ENFJ • Ravenclaw • Muggle-born • Obscurial
Born as the third child and only daughter of a wealthy Catholic merchant family of Irish origin, Eva learnt to hide her magic and prophetic abilities from the moment she discovered them. Every small action she made was carefully observed, judged and punished if it had a trace of magic. Her family faced more than enough scrutiny for their religion, and they did not ever dare to think about rumours that would be spread if their daughter showed witchcraft behaviour unintentionally in public. Constant years of emotional and physical abuse caused her to develop a strong fear of her powers and intense religious guilt, which later led her to develop an obscurus, a parasitic force that feeds upon the repressed magic of young wizards and witches.
When her eleventh birthday came, her Hogwarts letter was burnt, and in the following years she was trapped in the family house, and her resentment for the magic within her grew. When she turned fifteen, a particularly cruel fight with her father made her release her obscurus, killing all her family members in the process and causing the scar on her nose that would later be easily recognised when she joined Hogwarts. Luckily, Professor Fig, a fellow wizard and neighbour, had been keeping an eye on her for years and saved her when Eva was in a critical state. She finally enrols in the Wizarding School in her fifth year, becoming a member of the Ravenclaw house.
Although it takes some time, with the help of her professors and friends, she works through her issues and finally accepts herself. As an adult she starts reuniting her auguries as poems, safely keep as a family heirloom, and writes the weekly prophecies column for The Daily Prophet. Uninterested and even repulsed by the idea of romance but dreaming of raising children, she marries Reed Corey, and a few years later Sebastian Corey is born. Their bond is unusual, nothing like your conventional couple, more like two best friends who live together and share deep affection for each other but not the romantic kind, which made them receive a few questioning gazes at that time. Nevertheless, they lived a happy life and became some of the most famous members of the Corey family.
Some songs in her playlist:
Which Witch by Florence + The Machine
Matilda by Harry Styles
Saviour Complex by Phoebe Bridges
Ms Protagonist by Janani K.Jha
Writer in The Dark by Lorde
You guessed right, Eva is aroace and she is a queerplatonic relationship with Reed who is bi
All my characters are always open to interact with other users' Ocs. I would love to, so ask away <3

WIP Intro
Why does my brain keep creating new WIPs before I finish the old ones
Tumblr media
Title: Uneasy Money
Genre: Mystery. (Not a murder mystery this time, though!) Probably some other genres too, but that's the main one
Setting: Same as The Case-Files of Seo Yo-han: an alternate history version of the 1910s where WW1 never happened
Summary: Albert Millner's unexpected death leads to his nephew Gilbert inheriting his title, house, and money. Albert's daughter Helena is not happy about this. Neither is Thomas, the blackmailer who wanted her to pay him off, and who has no blackmail material on Gilbert. Then a cheque for £10,000 mysteriously disappears, and the evidence suggests Gilbert's sister — also named Helena — is the thief...
Status: Planning in progress
Taglist: @lightgriffinsect, @transthadymacdermot (Let me know if you want to be added/removed!)
Fun facts:
The main inspirations are The Last Chronicle of Barset (where the missing-money plot comes from) and Downton Abbey (where the unexpected-inheritance plot comes from). Other inspirations include Anne of Green Gables (Gilbert is named after Gilbert Blythe), The Chronicles of Narnia (Helena the Second's nickname comes from The Horse and his Boy), Great Expectations, and Sense and Sensibility
It's set in the same universe as The Case-Files of Seo Yo-han. Yo-han himself won't appear (no murder for him to solve XD ), but Phil and Leo might, and Alec and Davit definitely will (because Helena the First is Alec's cousin)
There are two sets of characters with the same name: Thomas McGeown (AKA Thomas Millner) and Thomas Millner, and Helena Millner and Helena Millner. This started out as an easy way to confuse the characters. Unfortunately I've discovered it's also an easy way to confuse myself...
The title is borrowed from a P. G. Wodehouse novel
The main characters’ surname is Millner. This is because I recently bought an 1870(!) edition of Alfred Lord Tennyson’s poems, and it has a signature from someone named Philip Millner who owned it in 1875(!!). So I’ve borrowed his surname for my OCs

The Silent Struggles of Asian American Women
By: Emily Diamante
Intro
Intersectionality is when two social identities intersect, making unique situations for an individual. Women in America are faced with various difficulties ranging from the wage gap to sexual harassment. Asians in America experience discrimination, stereotyping, etc. Asian American women in this country experience all of these dangers simultaneously. My name is Emily Diamante and this blog post will briefly cover examples in history where Asian women were stereotyped and discriminated against for being both a woman and Asian.
Tumblr media
Starting from the Beginning
In 1875, the Page Act was passed. This act restricted Asian women from immigrating to the U.S for prositutional purposes. This was one of the first instances of heavy stereotyping on Asian women. With the passing of this act, this wrongly profiles Asian women as prostitutes, dehumanizing them to an object. In addition, this act prevented Asian couples from starting families. It is important to note that the fourteenth amendment states, “all persons born or naturalized in the United States”. So due to the Page Act, the exclusion of Asian women in the country prevented these couples from starting a family. This stereotype was further portrayed when it came to the idea of a “military man”. The identity of a military man was just this macho, super masculine guy. So masculine that being called anything related to feminists was considered an insult. The stereotypical Asian woman at that time is the perfect opposite of a military man. Asian women are seen as submissive, seductive, only capable of serving men.
Covid
With the COVID-19 pandemic, harmful acts of hate towards the Asian community has increased by 339% in some of the largest cities in the U.S. It is clear it is because of people’s fear, scapegoating, and misinformation that caused Asian hate to grow so much in such a short amount of time. It is also no coincidence that when President Donald Trump used phrases such as “Kung- Flu” or “China Virus” that the blame on Asian Americans got even worse. The AAPI have documented about 4,000 instances of hate with Asian women being targeted 2.3 times more than men. Asian American women have stated that they have experienced some of these situations: being called racial slurs, comments about racial stereotypes, being followed via car, accused of being dirty, and being accused of having the “China Virus”. Because of these experiences, it is no doubt that Asian Americans have felt hopeless and frustrated during this pandemic. They are disappointed with the American government for how they are being treated. Asian women fear their treatment so much to go as far as to shop in only Asian stores.
Tumblr media
Atlanta Shooting
March 16, 2021. Robert Aaron Long attacks a massage parlor and two spas in Atlanta, Georgia. He shoots and kills eight people. All eight victims were Asian women. This tragic, targeted attack was a symbol that highlighted the intersection of racism and sexism. This act of violence represented the ongoing struggles of the objectification, fetishization, and dehumanizing experience of Asian women in America. This attack sheds light on urgent issues that need to be addressed.

Joseph-Maurice Ravel (1875-1937)
Maurice Ravel - Boléro

Thanks a lot for the tag!!!
(Julia is so cool and great by the way!)
Here's my girl Hera Hwang (Korean name -> Hwang Ji-yong) :
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can find her intro post here, some facts about her here and read an OS about a part of her backstory here ! More posts and fanfictions about her backround and adventures will come !
Basic informations :
She was born on January 28, 1875
She's half french, half korean, and speaks both languages
She's a Gryffindor
She's a lesbian
She's 190cm tall
She's a half-blood
She's also very masculine
Her scar is a burn scar, I'll reveal soon what caused this ! Warning : angst.
She has amnesia and doesn't remember anything from before she was 10. I will of course reveal what happened to her too ! Warning : her parents are assholes.
Her accent is a mix of the french accent and the west country accent
As my next fic Sans famille (Nobody's girl Hera) will tell, Hera doesn't know who her parents are. At 10, she woke up on a beach with no memory at all. She spent some time in an orphanage, before being adopted by the Pryors, a very religious family who, among others, forced her to wear feminine clothes. I won't go through the details because I don't want to spoil my fanfiction, but she ended up running away. Some months after, Professor Fig found her, told her she was a witch and took her home, teaching her the basis of magic she needed to know before starting Hogwarts as a fifth year. More details about her backround will be found in my fics !
At Hogwarts, she will fall in love with Poppy Sweeting and they will end up together ! You can find two OS about their relationship here and here, as well as facts about them here - and of course there will be more to come.
Hera loves Quidditch, music, duelling, beasts, books... She has a very strong personality, she's confident, assertive, stubborn. She's awkward and doesn't know how to make friends, but she's very funny when you get to know her. She isn’t the anxious kind, because she doesn't care about anything ; she's very loyal to her friends, and is also very, very honest and frank - which can be a good thing and also an awful one. She gets pissed off quite easily and can be very mean and brutal when she wants too. Some may describe her as very aggressive and even violent but she deep down has a very good heart. She doesn't talk much most of the time, and loves to sing when she's alone.
Her given korean was Hwang Mi-yeon, but she changed it to Hwang Ji-yong because the first one was too "cute" and "pretty" and she didn't feel like it fit her. Hwang Ji-yong is a male name.
I don't really know what else to say without spoiling all my fanfictions right now!
You know what 😊
I want to hear about your Hogwarts Legacy MCs. Please feel free to reblog this and post about your original characters here with whatever you'd like: art, screenies, lore, writing snippets, thoughts, plans...whatever!
Let's shower MCs, and their creators who share them, with love💙
I'm going to tag some people to get a flow going, but please please please feel free to jump in and share what you're working on.

Not to be like 'Chronology final FINAL (2)', but hear me out-- (Comments and feedback are much appreciated, see the notes at the bottom. Titles in italics have been moved/updated since last time.)
The Shoscombe Old Place - May 1881
It is directly stated to be May. Watson mentions his wound pension, meaning this case must be placed during the nine months he was set to receive it, as referenced in STUD (which would be from October or November 1880 to July or August 1881).
Watson states that he acquired his practice ‘shortly after’ his marriage, and that he was too busy to visit Holmes at Baker Street for three months.
(I put this story here as Watson has to be persuaded to go on the case with Holmes by his wife, and he shows more reluctance to do so than he will later)
It is directly stated to be summer 1889.
~~ THE GREAT HIATUS: MAY 1891 TO APRIL 1894 ~~
It is directly stated to be ‘early in 1896’
The Missing Three-Quarter - February 1896-7
Watson complains about feeling 'old', which suggests this story takes place later in the canon. However, there is no indication of him being married.
The Problem Of Thor Bridge - October 1901
It is directly stated to be October. Watson is living at Baker Street.

GEORGIA BONES INTRO
* ✧ ˚ ( mj rodriguez | trans female | she/her ) — i just saw GEORGIA BONES in london! they say the PUREBLOOD is from UNITED KINGDOM, likely here for the season or that nasty business with travers, which explains them WORKING AS A HERBOLOGIST/HERBOLOGY SHOP OWNER. i think i’ve heard it said that they are TWENTY EIGHT, and attended HOGWARTS/RAVENCLAW, but that’s not all too interesting, so let’s get into the nitty gritty. the rumors say that they are INTELLIGENT & THOUGHTFUL, but i’ve also heard whispers of them being BROODING & DISTRUSTING. i don’t mean to speculate, but from what i’ve heard, they seem to align with THE NEUTRALS, isn’t that just interesting?
Full Name: Georgia Louise Bones Nicknames: G, GiGi Age: 28 Birthday: June 30 Zodiac Sign: Cancer Blood Status: Pureblood School: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry House: Ravenclaw Alignment: Neutral Occupation: Herbologist & Shop Owner Roots&Bones Herbology Relationship Status: Single Sexuality: Pansexual Positive Traits (+): Intelligent, Thoughtful, Understanding, Logical, Even-Keel Negative Traits (-): Brooding, Distrusting, Complicated, Withdrawn, Reserved
HEADCANONS
Georgia was born June 30, 1847 in London, England. The Bones were a well-known and prominent Magical family, with ties to Hogwarts and the Ministry dating back to the early 20th century.
Growing up presented a bit of turmoil for Georgia. Her family’s status often brought with it pressures she would have most certainly cared to abandon. Always expected to act, speak, and dress a certain way, The expectations seemed to follow her everywhere, their weight dragging at her in ways she found difficult and near-impossible to rid herself of.
Throughout school, Georgia always performed excellently, showing above-average intelligence for nearly all subjects from an early age. The same persisted through her time at Hogwarts, earning her many accolades and advantages.
Though Georgia is, at her core, a sweet and caring person, she sometimes gets lost behind the cool exterior she adopted in childhood. In many ways, this was a defense mechanism, an attempt to block herself from the onslaught of commentary from her family telling her that she wasn’t good enough, that no matter how well or how much she performed, she never would be.
When she arrived at Hogwarts, Georgia was immediately sorted into the Ravenclaw house, a bit of a surprise to her family and those who knew them. Still, it fit- her intelligent nature and passion for academics, coupled with several key personality traits made the sorting make sense.
Her time at Hogwarts was enjoyable, though Georgia primarily kept to herself. She maintained a few close friendships, and though she was not disliked, she was by no means popular.
Early on, Georgia took a liking to Herbology, thoroughly enjoying its study. Upon graduation from Hogwarts, she decided to pursue the study as a profession.
After studying under an aged and respected Herbologist, Georgia went out on her own, working for several shops, practices, and nurseries before deciding to open one of her own. Two years ago, she made her dream a reality, opening her own Herbology shop in Hogsmeade.

*⠀ ⠀ ─── ⠀ ⠀BACKSTORY !   ❜
tw : infant death, grief, mourning & loss.
the ryu family were brought from the joseon kingdom to the united kingdom on the wings of a bird made of grief and mourning ; hoping that a change in scenery, light, and surroundings might help them move past the sorrow of losing their firstborn during childbirth. in a small cottage in the english countryside ─── surrounded by the colour and scent of wildflowers, and serenaded by the songs of forest swallows and finches ─── sera and siwoo ryu hid themselves away from the too harsh, too horrid world  ─── creating for themselves a sanctuary. a safe place to heal.
three years later ? a miracle happened   ───  in amongst the flowers, in the midst of spring ─── the ryu’s were blessed with a healthy baby boy who they named saem, after the korean native word for ‘ spring ’ or ‘ fountain ’. it was a fitting name, for the sight of the boy’s warm brown eyes and the sound of his dulcet laughs had washed over the final shadows of the ryu’s grief as though a fresh water spring ; helping the young couple heal from their sorrows, grow past their loss, and return to love and tenderness.
with the birth of saem, the ryu’s returned to society ───  eagerly welcomed into wizarding london’s pureblood circles in consideration of the family’s ancient magical lineage on both sides, which could be traced back many centuries. here ───  despite the sacred darkness and prejudices which lingered in the shadows ─── just as his name had intended, young saem grew up touching the lives of those around him with a gentle and enduring love and warmth ─── guided by his sturdy heart, and following the free-flow of his spirit ; bright as the clearest mountain spring.
*⠀ ⠀ ─── ⠀ ⠀MORE !   ❜
high key a golden retriever in human form, tbh ??????? lots of warmth, lots of loyalty. huge good boi energy
has a good and sturdy heart, but often lacks the subtlety and composure of more practiced folks in society.
wears his heart on his sleeve, and shows all the cards in his hands out of good faith.  feel free to use this against him rjewiojriowerowe.
awful sense of direction, great sense of humour. saem’s notoriously known for losing his way in terms of directions ─── thankfully though, he has a remarkable talent for being able to find his way back to his destination, wherever it may be ; guided by the genuine connections he makes with people and drawing friends who were once strangers into his life with warmth, laughter, and love.
great with animals ─── very likely to send himself bankrupt adopting animals off the street in the future
even better with kids ─── saem’s got a very unpretentious openness and warmth about him that kids tend to feel comfortable around ; which led him into specialising in paediatric healing at st. mungo’s.
is very knowledgeable in, and adores foraging for herbs and plants which he uses to develop various medicines, potions, tinctures and ointments.
very magically gifted. saem showed his first signs of magic when he was just two years old. he was visited by a terrible nightmare and woke up screaming in the dead of night, but he was able to self-soothe ; closing his eyes, and focusing on his breathing. when he parents rushed into the room to check that he was alright, they could hardly believe what they saw : the entire room, covered in lush flowers and foliage ─── with saem seeming to have manifested a little forest inside his room to keep himself calm. [ saem is also able to use wandless magic now ( which is honestly a godsend because he’s always misplacing his wand wjerioejwoir ) ]
there is lots of anticipation for saem to officially join the season this year. he’s rather coveted in wizarding society for marriage due to his family’s impressive magical lineage, his parent’s amiable characters, and his own warmhearted demeanour. unfortunately for society saem has never much cared for the season as he’s always preferred to spend his time engaging with healing as his vocation. saem has furthermore always been of the belief that, should he fall in love, he’d like for it to be free of the pressures, the pretence, and the dramas, which come along with the social season. yet at the behest of his parents who long for their darling boy to find a partner, saem has agreed to be present throughout this courting season’s festivities.
final thoughts : has a lot of hufflepuff energy for a gryffindor ???? may perhaps be the only man i trust ????? deserves love uwu
TL ; DR ──  saem is a v nice healer mans who wants the best for the patients he works alongside at st. mungo’s, wants the best of everyone in society ( which is why he opposes the sacred ), and wants the best for u too  🥺 🥺 🥺  he clears my skin and grows my crops with how much he believes in and hopes for peace :’) come plot with saem and myself !!!!!!!!!!

* ✧ ˚ ( kit young | cismale | he/him ) — i just saw BASIL CARROW in london! they say the PUREBLOOD is from ENGLAND, likely here for the season or that nasty business with travers, which explains them WORKING AS HIT WIZARD FOR THE MINISTRY OF MAGIC. i think i’ve heard it said that they are TWENTY SEVEN, and attended HOGWARTS / SLYTHERIN, but that’s not all too interesting, so let’s get into the nitty gritty. the rumors say that they are ATHLETIC & HIGHLY SKILLED, but i’ve also heard whispers of them being PRIDEFUL & DANGEROUS. i don’t mean to speculate, but from what i’ve heard, they seem to align with THE SACRED, isn’t that just interesting?
WANTED CONNECTIONS // PINTEREST.
character basics;
birthdate; january 11th, 1848 {a capricorn}
hometown; york, england
sexuality; bisexual & biromantic
relationship status; betrothed to mariya dolohov
extended personality traits; ambitious, intelligent, dedicated, sneaky, independent, logical, resourceful, organized, cynical, detached, impatient, moody, shallow.
virtues; courage, diligence, excellence, orderliness, self-discipline, loyalty.
vices; doubtful/untrusting, injustice, jealousy, cruelty, vanity.
skills; dark arts & potions, speed, strength, incredible aim, calculating a plan, respecting authority.
hobbies; gardening, quidditch (watching mainly), reading, collecting things, hiking/long walks, gambling.
dislikes; weddings, slow walkers, liars (despite being one), lost buttons, untidy homes, cinnamon, forgetting things/forgetful people.
brief character history;
from a young age, basil was seen as an extremely bright & gifted child. before attending hogwarts, he devoured books & played hard with his sister, tumbling about in the gardens and racing the staff of the estate through the corn rows.
once in hogwarts, the sorting hat struggled to decide where to place basil; but settled on slytherin over ravenclaw, last moment. he was pleased with this, but went on to befriend many from other houses, as well. he was on the quidditch team for slytherin.
when he was fifteen, his parents decided on a match for basil, and made the arrangements for a marriage with a french heiress from another pureblood family. it wasn’t until they were seventeen that he was able to meet his betrothed, and the two did not hit it off at all.
when he was 20, they were wed finally, and went on to live in france for a few years. unfortunately, his wife fell ill, and though the two had not been fond of one another in the beginning, they had grown close over the course of the few years they spent together, and basil did not take her passing easily. he had been working for the ministry of magic, as most carrow’s did, and from then on, dove into his work.
during his wife’s illness, basil tried many potions and spells, even dabbled in curses and darker forms of magic to try and heal her, but none of his efforts turned out well, and some seemed to prove more harmful than helpful.
at the age of 25, basil returned to england and took up location in london, but traveled frequently in his work with the ministry. quickly he garnered a reputation among the militia as a hit wizard. he showed great promise with athletic ability, intelligence, and stealth; but some on his team worried that basil was too ruthless, too cold, too hardened for a job that often involved high-stress situations. the concerns remain, though he has become to invaluable to the ministry no one dare say a word against him now.
since his return to england, he has courted sparingly, but was not quite interested in yet another marriage, and the looming threat of tragedy that may befall it, until being approached by the dolohov family. the plan for basil had always been to marry into a powerful international family, and so after consideration, he decided to propose to mariya.

About
I'm Hania, a queer aspiring writer who has more ideas than she has time. This is actually my second attempt at a writeblr (a long time ago my main @haniawritesthings was a writeblr and I follow from there ) and I'm hoping it will give me the motivation to properly finish projects.
I love writing about queer themes as well as complicated family dynamics and friendships. Historical fiction is my favorite genre, especially things set in the early 20th century.
Current Projects

Still liable to changes, but I have at last placed every single story into my chronology! I have also made some changes to the order of stories placed previously, based either on new information or their vibes. Comments and feedback are much appreciated.
It cannot be any earlier than 1882 however, since January 1881 is taken up by the events of A Study In Scarlet.
The Speckled Band - April 1883
The Yellow Face - Summer 1883
The Beryl Coronet - February 1884
The Copper Beeches - Early Spring 1884
The Reigate Squires - April 1887
The Sign Of Four - July 1887 [4]
It is stated to be July (later mistakenly stated as September) 1888, but this contradicts both SCAN (March 1888) and FIVE (September 1887). There also appears to be a pearl missing as Mary describes their delivery.
Simon’s age, but Watson is soon to be married -- which is not possible if he has not yet met his fiancée. Dating SIGN to July 1887 fixes this discrepancy.
A Scandal In Bohemia - March 1888
Watson explicitly dates the start of this case to the 20th of March 1888, and states that he hasn’t seen Holmes for several months after his marriage (which would be in the late autumn to winter of 1887)
The Stockbroker’s Clerk - June 1888
Watson states that he acquired his practice ‘shortly after’ his marriage, and that he was too busy to visit Holmes at Baker Street for three months. Counting most of March as the first month (per SCAN), that takes us to the June he states, which is the first time Holmes has visited Watson at his practice.
The Naval Treaty - July 1888
[The Second Stain - July 1888**]
I take it that the story of this name is heavily if not entirely fictionalised. This is when the real events that inspired it occurred.
The Crooked Man - Summer (August?) 1888
The Red-Headed League - October 1890
The Blue Carbuncle - December 1890
Watson states it to be ‘the second morning after Christmas’, making it the 27th.
The Empty House - March 1894
The Norwood Builder - Summer 1894
Stated to take place ‘several months’ after Holmes’s return. Watson has moved back to Baker Street and sold his practice.
Silver Blaze - Late Summer 1894
(I would like to set Silver Blaze to be after NORW, since I think Holmes and Watson deserve a fun case after that one. I believe it to be post-hiatus since Watson is evidently resident in Baker Street and does not appear to be in practice at this time.)
The Golden Pince-Nez - November 1894
The Red Circle - Winter 1894
Watson is living at Baker Street, and Holmes refers to his medical practice in the past tense.
The Solitary Cyclist - April 1895
The Three Students - 1895
Black Peter - July 1895
The Bruce-Partington Plans - November 1895
The Veiled Lodger - Early 1896
The Shoscombe Old Place - 1896
The Missing Three-Quarter - February 1896-7?
Described as occurring ‘seven or eight years ago’ from the time of writing, presumably 1904.
The Devil’s Foot - March 1897
The Abbey Grange - Winter 1897
Wisteria Lodge - March 1898 [6]
It is stated to be March 1892, but this is impossible as Holmes is presumed dead at that time. It also can’t be March ‘91 as Holmes is too busy at that time, and referencing REDH eliminates March ‘90 or any year earlier. Further, Holmes complains of boredom due to a lack of cases, which eliminates 1894 due to a very high number of cases in that year (he also would only have been back about two weeks at that point). Holmes is also busy in March ‘95, ‘96, and ‘97. It is not until 1898 that there may be time to be bored by March.
The Six Napoleons - Late May/Early June 1898
It must be the end of May or the start of June, as Beppo was arrested and sentenced to a year in prison in late May of the previous year. (I’d like to set this one near DANC, since Holmes deserves the praise.
The Dancing Men - July 1898
Mr Cubitt says that he met his wife while in London ‘for the jubilee last year’, and that Elsie received a letter from America ‘about a month ago, at the end of June’.
The Illustrious Client - September 1902
The Blanched Soldier - January 1903
Holmes claims that Watson has ‘deserted [him] for a wife’.
The Mazarin Stone - Summer 1903
Watson is visiting Baker Street, and comments that nothing has changed in his absence, which infers this to occur after his second marriage. He also comments that a dummy of Holmes has been ‘used before’, referencing the events of EMPT.
The Three Gables - 1903?
Watson has not seen Holmes ‘in some days’.
The Creeping Man - September 1903
As originally published, the date is stated as September 1902, but when collected in Case-Book, this changes to 1903. I place it in 1903 as Watson is not living at Baker Street at this time, having been summoned by a note from Holmes.
The Lion’s Mane - July 1907
Holmes is retired
His Last Bow: The War Service Of Sherlock Holmes - August 1914
Holmes has been undercover for the past two years.
Additionally:
This chronology was started in direct opposition to and due to frustration with Baring-Gould's chronology. Any comments or suggestions based on it will be disregarded.
It is my aim with this chronology to take into account all stated dates, and take them as correct except for where they blatantly contradict others. (e.g. SIGN being dated to either July or September 1888, when FIVE references Watson's wife in September 1887 and SCAN refers to his marriage in March 1888; Wisteria Lodge being dated to March 1892 when Holmes is 'dead' at this time)
It is also my intention that Watson is only married twice, the first time to Mary Morstan in late 1887 and the second to an unknown Mrs Watson in early 1903 (being strictly canonical, my own headcanons of him retiring to Sussex with Holmes aside)
