FayJay gives amazing life to the charachters, and this one is just so wonderful.

Title: When Times are Dire Read by: aibidil Authour: aibidil Length:~ 14h Rating: Explicit Summary: Magical Britain is screwed, and it's once again up to Harry to save it. This time, by marrying Draco Malfoy. This fic is so interesting. It's fake relationship but done differently to anything else I've read. It's political in a way that rings true for so much that's going on in the world and it was lovely to see the characters I love fight for things I believe in!

Title: All Our Secrets Laid Bare Read by: Melcarrianna Authour: Firethesound Length:~ 18h Rating: Explicit Summary: Over the six years Draco Malfoy has been an Auror, four of his partners have turned up dead. Harry Potter is assigned as his latest partner to investigate just what is going on. This one is perfect for when my brain won't slow down and be quiet. It's a lovely and interesting story and it's read it in a way that's both soothing and engaging all at once.

Title: Always Already Read by: aibidil Authour: aibidil Length:~ 20h Rating: Explicit Summary: Harry and Draco are perfectly fine, separately minding their business in 2004, when the Unspeakables conscript them into service... in the First War against Voldemort. Come for mutual pining and forced proximity in a 1980 hotel room, stay for young Sirius and philosophising about immortality and wormholes. And an eighties cowboy soap opera. This one is just excellent. I love how the time-travel is done and how alive the characters felt to me both because of the writing and the reading. The podfic has sound-effects from the 80s and it's just so good. I've listened to this several times since it came out a year and a half ago.

Title: Blood Magic Read by: houseofhebrideanblacks, Thestralsofspinnersend Authours: houseofhebrideanblacks, Thestralsofspinnersend Length:~ 33h Rating: Explicit Summary: A story of thestral magic, forest lore and recovery from all the things that haunt us. This is a beautiful story of recovery, friendship, love and life. And in being a story about that it exlpores the darker sides of those same themes; illness, loneliness and death. The authours read the story themselves, giving different voices to Draco and Harry's POV. It's a beautiful listen.

Title: Foundations'Verse - Reparations, Foundations Read by: 6shotsamericano Authour: Saras_Girl Length:~10h + 27.5h Rating: Explicit Summary: Reparations: Harry is about to discover that the steepest learning curve comes after Healer training, and that second chances can be found in unexpected places. Foundations: When one door closes, another one opens – with a bit of a push. Life, love and complications. This verse was one of my first ever Drarry fics, and the podfic of it was my first ever podfic experience. Both were major influences on the fact that I now love both Drarry and podfic. The fics are a masterpiece and 6shotsamericano reads them in such a wonderfull way that it's easy to immerse yourself in the story.

Title: Secrets Read by: Opalsong Authour: Vorabiza (Biza) Length:~ 44hRating: ExplicitSummary: Beginning with Draco's unexpected arrival at the Dursleys, Harry's summer becomes filled with activity and many secrets. He generates several unexpected allies as he finds himself actively becoming the leader of the Light side. H/D post-HBP This story is an intense alternate book 7, and Opalsong reads it so engagingly. 

Title: The Man Who Lived Read by: RattleandHum Authour: SebastianL Length:~ 25h Rating: Explicit Summary: Draco breaks a cup, and one thing leads to another. A story of redemption, tattoos, dreams, mistakes, green eyes, long conversations, and copious amounts of coffee. Set in New York twelve years after the war. This is wonderful, slow-burning, heartbreaking and sweet. RattleandHum has a beautiful voice that really bring the fic and emotions to life.

Title: Turn Read by: Queenie_Mab Authour: Saras_Girl Length:~ 37h Rating: Mature Summary: One good turn always deserves another. Apparently. This story is a classic, and the reading of it fully lives up to the quality of the written fic; absolutely wonderfull! Another one I've listened to more times than I can count.

First i had autism suggested by my friends and teachers

Last year around february i found a therapist for adults to have an assessment suggestion because my family kept me away from picking a psychiatrist or anything else

I used an excuse that I'll be working on my confidence etc and it worked

My therapist suggested CPTSD which I also got on paper yesterday from her

Then she recommended a psychiatrist nearby who failed me

I had 2 appointments, she didn't listen to me at all, misinterpreted my symptoms and prescribed antidepressants that didn't work at all (second time different one + stronger doses) or kept me half knocked out

Then during a trip with my partners family his family noticed that

In a nutshell that I'm standing out and my behaviour doesn't fit the neurotypical norms blahblahblah (my partner has adhd) and they instantly tried to help me

Without my knowledge they got me an appointment a town away and yesterday i got a diagnosis (i had to pay for it, the blood tests and the description of my therapy process from my psychologist)

It took me 18h of therapy, 2 psychiatrist appointments and 1 blood test

Now i plan to check a local spot for social skills training :> and continue my current therapy

Interview with Yoshihiro Takahashi (Anime magazine #133, 7 / 2023 )

Attention! Contains spoilers from the Ginga series!

Originally published in 1983-1987, Ginga Nagareboshi Gin also known as Silver Fang hardly needs to be introduced because Silver Fang and other Ginga-series have won the hearts of Finnish audience since the 80s, their creator Yoshihiro Takahashi is one of the most loved mangaka in Finland. At the end of last summer, Finnish fans were delighted to hear that Takahashi would visit Helsinki from 15th to 18h of September.

Japanese Yokote Masuda Manga Museum, which organized the visit, held an exhibition that presented the mangaka's original drawings from the series at the Kamppi, Muji store. Located in the city of Yokote, Akita Prefecture, the museum keeps the world's largest collection of Takahashi's original works. The mangaka himself is also from Akita, more specifically from a small village in Higashinaruse. During the exhibition, Takahashi met his fans at the autograph session. There was also reason to celebrate as the mangaka turned 70 during the visit. Silver Fang manga also turns 40 this year.

On Thursday, before the big autograph signing, Anime magazine got a rare opportunity to talk with Takahashi about his life - and of course about dogs. Mangaka joyfully met the representatives of Anime together with the museum director Oishi Takashi and founder of Komachi Consulting, Minako Lakso. Sangatsu Manga's editorial manager Antti Valkama acted as an interpreter.

In his career, Takahashi has created manga series on various topics, but the success of Silver Fang made him a true "dog mangaka". As one of the inspirations of his youth Takahashi mentions Kyuuta Ishikawa (1940-2018), who created dog and wolf mangas in the 60s and 70s. - Although Ishikawa drew the dogs much more realistically than I did. My dogs are a lot more expressive and cartoonish. Later, Takahashi met Ishikawa's assistant, Seiichi Ikeuchi, by chance. The two became friends through a shared hobby of golf, and Ikeuchi also draws especially golf-focused sports manga. Takahashi laughs that like Ishikawa, Ikeuchi tried to make a dog manga back in the day, but didn't succeed as well as he did with the golf manga.

Dogs have played a major role in Takahashi's stories as well as in everyday life. Different breeds and their the personalities have become familiar to him. From his youth, he fondly remembered the family's Akita mix named Kuro. Kuro (translated as Black) was Takahashi's brother-like partner. Akitas are considered challenging and difficult to approach, because they don't express their emotions as clearly as most other breeds. But Takahashi didn't have trouble understanding Kuro. - Once, I think I was 5 years old, a traveling shoe salesman came to our home. When the salesman stood in the hall, Kuro and I watched what he was doing. When the shopkeeper jokingly decided to grab me, Kuro growled at the man. Otherwise it didn't react to anything, but the child had to be protected. Takahashi learned from Kuro that important things to you should be protected. This is transmitted clearly in his works. During Takahashi's adulthood, the family has included, among other things, a Labrador retriever and a wolf-dog hybrid (mentioned to also have german shepherd and husky in their heritage) imported from the United States. In Finland, a hybrid between a dog and a wolf can not have more than 12.5% ​​wolf, but in Japan no dog breed or cross between dog and wolf is directly denied. Because Takahashi's hybrid arrived to Japan when it was two years old and well trained, there were no major difficulties in importation. They say the dog ran away sometimes, but in the end it always came back home.

When it comes to dogs in his works, Takahashi chooses a breed according to the personality of the character. In terms of stories, his favorite breed is the German Shepherd thanks to their sense of justice, but also their stubborn pride and edginess. Based on his long experience, writing male dogs is natural for him, but with productive female characters mangaka has difficulties. Besides Cross from Silver Fang and Lydia from Ginga Densetsu Weed (1999-2009, in Finland only known as Weed), female warriors are rare in the series. Timidly Takahashi says that he tries his best when it comes to female characters, although they are difficult to write. However, he is satisfied with Lydia thanks to character's multidimensionality.

In addition to challenging female characters, Takahashi has had to make difficult choices on character's fate. The death of the loved German Shepherd John was a difficult thing even for the mangaka. Readers especially give feedback when a character dies. Takahashi remembers an incident that happened when he visited Animecon in Kuopio in 2012. A fan who had just read about John's death in the Japanese manga came to the autograph session. According to Takahashi, the part in question was not yet published in Finland. John suffered a long and painful death in WEED. However, characteristically, John did not break mentally. Takahashi says the reader was angry that he killed John. - I then asked them if John's death wasn't just the right way for him. They then admitted that that was exactly how John would have wanted to die. Proud to the end. The violence of the Ginga series has attracted attention in Finland since Silver Fang arrived here in 1989 with four VHS parts. The publisher once tried to tone down Takahashi so that the series wouldn't become too much bloody. Takahashi suspects that the publishing house was probably afraid that they would get complaints of violence. Takahashi laughs that the story must have a good action. In the end, he heard no complaints from the publisher. - Readers perceive violence differently when it happens between animals than if the same would happen between people.

Regarding character deaths, Takahashi reveals that when he wrote Silver Fang, he wanted to kill all three of Kai brothers in one go. They were meant to die in the final battle between Ouu's dog army and the monster bear Akakabuto. But the publisher did not agree to this and in the end only the eldest brother Akatora experienced the bloody death. Despite the violence, Takahashi does not want his works to be, like many adult directed series, too attention catching, but there had to be some sort of moral limit. From this the works have been praised. Takahashi remembers meeting a Japanese older woman who had praised Silver Fang and stated that every student should read it.

Takahashi encapsulates the message of Ginga series to themes of justice and love. By love, he means more of companionship and caring. The themes of companionship and loyalty come up often In Takahashi's works. We asked if the history of Japan and bushidou perhaps inspired him. - In my hometown of Higashinaruse, there were stories about samurai and battles. I might have had them in the family, so I guess I have such ideas in the back of my mind. When thinking about the history of his home region, Takahashi remembers a memory from his childhood of the bear carcass he saw. In the countryside of Akita, it was common to display hunted bears for the whole village. One time the hunters had brought down a particularly large bear that was being kept displayed on the platform of a small truck. The sight of this huge beast remained permanently in the little boy's mind.

The nature of Japan's largest island, North Honshu, reminds Takahashi of Finnish nature. The mangaka thinks that the milieu that looks familiar and both cultural encounters with bears are part of the reason why the Ginga series have so many fans in Finland. Finnish readers' devotion to his works has made a great impression on Takahashi. The most ardent fans have even traveled Akita to see Takahashi's hometown. - I am taken and grateful that the Finnish readers have welcomed my manga so well. Thank you very much for your support.

ANYWHO. im going to document some things about my current runs. I've played the game twice and have amassed about 18h in the 2 days i've had it (woah.) so the hyperfixation is truly hyperfixationing. anywho x2. RAMBLING TIME. (under the cut)

SO IN MY FIRST RUN, i play as sol (they/them). i LOVE my dad, i love my mum but she's a little tough on me. i know she scolds me because she's worried about me and she just wants me to do well but it still. AHHH. i get frustrated and lash out sometimes. but i still love my mum. my childhood friend is marz, who i think is really cool but also i like to compete with her! she can't be the only coolest person ever. i don't remember what i picked as the augment though. ANYWAY.

i wasn't very close with tammy, but when she passed her presence was heavily felt. especially in the secret funtimes club. she would have loved to make friendship bracelets with us. i was enamoured by the very serious and focused and locked in autistic girl (tangent) who i grew up with. i went to classes mostly as an excuse to spend time with her and so that she would like me and pay attention to me, to think that we were of equal standing. her best friend was marz and i was jealous. i asked anemone to be my best friend and she said yes! but we grew apart over time anyway. I did some exploring, but not a lot of it. not enough to see a lot, but enough to sneak out with Dys. I explored and found a pet Hopeye, affectionately named Fungle (after the among us map LOL). I didn't know Dys very much though. he ran away, or went missing, or maybe blew up the colony when i was growing up. i never saw him again.

there was a famine and my mum died. my dad died soon after because of the shimmer. i never found out why. i just locked into robotics and engineering more and more. i named the little robot Ronaldine.

i don't remember the specifics of everything. the finer details are blurry. i just remember dedicating a lot of time with tang and spending time and time again with her, over, over, over. i didn't save the colony. we fell and died. also i didn't like the helios. but i was an obedient kid for the majority of my life up until my dad died and i started to become less obedient.

i grow old, i think. i made a lot of mistakes, but i still grow up. my partner at the time tang, becomes dejected and apathetic and hyperfocused on what happened to dys. i can't save her and she separates herself.

𝐓𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐫 . my very first oc that i can remember . he is an 18H blood bay blanket appaloosa stallion with four white socks , a big white blaze down to the fuzzy of his pink muzzle , and blue eyes . he is legolas' very best friend even more friends than he is with aragorn . and only they can understand each other because legolas is down like that and they're that connected . tessar is sad because his best friend brushbe, a big black stallion who he grew up with since he was a baby got stolen by the nazgul so they could do fucked up experiments on him and turn him into a nazgul's mount. he tried to stop it but he was stabbed by the same blade frodo was but it's ok! bc he also was taken to rivendell and that's how he met the fellowship and met legolas and got to go on adventures and also to save his best friend who has been brainwashed by sauron! he has a whole gaggle of other horse friends he meets along the way and even a pretty black mare named potenta that he falls in love with and has a son with named nattar. he even gets a cameo on this blog as turstin's horse ! i dropped at least 3K pages on this dude behind the scenes. day and night, during school, after school. i bled printers dry on first and second drafts. i'm pretty sure you can still find the teaser for the first chapter on fanfiction.net . he's cooler than any of us will ever be .

𝕺𝖓 𝖜𝖍𝖆𝖙 𝖕𝖑𝖆𝖙𝖋𝖔𝖗𝖒 𝖉𝖎𝖉 𝖞𝖔𝖚 𝖘𝖙𝖆𝖗𝖙 𝖙𝖔 𝖜𝖗𝖎𝖙𝖊 ? good old fashion microsoft word . when it came to rping i was introduced the rock and stick way with friends in high school - we used to pass GIANT binders back and forth when passing each other in the hallways to class and write our replies, or we'd call each other to read our replies that we wrote at home , and read our responses so the other could write it in. we had a schedule for who would have the binder, and who would write the replies when we'd be on the phone . it was so much fun. hundreds of pages of stories. i wonder sometimes if she still has them, or if they've been lost to time. watch, i'll find it in an antique shop went on to roleplay chat rooms from there! nexxushost.com was where i really took off and made friends. it was chaotic, you could choose from several rooms to occupy with others, like the forest, or the forbidden tower, or the arena, stuff like that. you could use command keys to notify your writing partner when you wrote up their replies, or post what we would call opens, and if ever you wanted to chat publicly you just used // to indicate that's what you're doing so people don't confuse it for a "one liner". you could make public or private servers, and even goof around in the ooc lobby. this environment really helped me to learn how to be quick thinking with improv settings! i don't know how we managed to keep track of everything, it was so fast paced when it got busy in a room.

Day 7 Universal Studios

I personally had no plans to go here, but the husband really wanted to visit Super Nintendo World, so... Universal Studios Japan was added to the itinerary.

We arrived just before 9 o'clock. Having failed to buy tickets online, we had to line up and... We chose the worst line ever. It was going so slow, like every person had a million questions to ask. In the meantime we could see attraction queue times go up in the phone app.

A quarter past nine, we finally had our tickets, managed to quickly reserve a time slot for Nintendo World (at 15.50h~) and then raced onward to the Wizarding world. I wasn't sure how bad the queue for the Forbidden Journey ride was going to get today (six years ago it was 3 hours!), so to be sure I just decided to head there right away and catch a reasonable wait time (35 minutes).

From there we just wandered around a bit, visiting Jurassic Park (unfortunately the non-roller coaster ride is currently closed) and then the Minnions corner.

Until it was time for the No Limit Parade. Of course we managed to find ourselves a spot near the end of the route, so we had to wait a bit longer than planned. But it was interesting... Especially the part where everyone suddenly dashed onto the road to dance. I did not expect that!

After lining up for the Spider Man ride, finding ourselves something to eat and more wandering around it was finally time to enter Nintendo World! Let's just say, it did not disappoint in the visual department.

As expected the place was super crowded, and the lines were pretty long... So we decided to enter the single riders line for the Mario Kart ride, since it would at least scrape off 30-40 minutes of the queue (reducing the expected wait to roughly 65 minutes). In the end we probably spend only 40 minutes in the queue, if not less.

The line for Yoshi's Journey was much worse! Guess people couldn't deal with the moving platform or something, because the line just did not move! We probably spend over an hour in the queue and... The ride was actually a bit disappointing, considering the wait.

By then it was time for dinner, but... Apparently USJ doesn't want you to eat or something, because every frickin' restaurant seemed to have closed at 18h!! What the hell!? The park itself is open until 21h or something, how does that make sense! Don't they want you to spend money on food at their park!?

Since we were hungry and tired, we just decided to call it a day there and exited the park, then dropped by the McD before catching a train home.

Week 18/09 - 24/09

18th September:

Leirschole week!!! Today is the first official day of leirschole (some sort of forestclasses where children do outdoor activities and learn basic outdoor skills) Me and my group had breakfast at 8. Around 9h30, the children started to arrive. We helped them with their luggage and once all the kids had arrived (around 67 pupils 😱), we helped them with making their beds too. After unpacking we had lunch and the leirschole teachers told everyone the program (In Norwegian sadly, but we already had the program on paper so it was okay). The entire group got split up in 4 smaller groups. Each group was at a station for 30 minutes. The stations were; First aid, Canoeing, seeing how goats get milked and a little tour of the leirschole. After visiting the 4 stations we ate dinner (yes, at 15h30 already!), we got meatballs, potatoes and vegetables. Then we had some spare time because the children were doing a feedback moment with their own teachers, so me and my leirschole group watched a movie. Around 18h, there were 2 and a half hours of activities planned by the leirschole. Activities existing out of; milking goats, walking bunnies, canoeing and horseback riding. At 20h30 we had the chance to eat cornflakes, since we had dinner so soon. I ate some and me and my other classmates went to our room to prepare for the night.

19th September:

Since breakfast is at 8h everyday, we don’t go to bed too late and do have to wake up pretty early. Today we are separated into 2 groups. Group one did map and orienteering first, were you had to orient to a post where a paper hung. Group two went canoeing to a place and hiked back to the starting point while learning about edible things in nature like berries. (they even ate ants... ANTS???) After some time, the groups switched activities. In between activities, we had lunch inside since it was raining a bit. After the activities, we had dinner; Potatoes with fishcakes and vegetables. Just like yesterday, we had some spare time and watched a movie, then did some activities which existed out of; milking goats, rowing with the canoes and woodworking. We had cornflakes at 20h30, watched the rest of the movie and went to bed afterwards.

20th September:

Day 3 of leirschole! After breakfast the entire group was split in two again. Group 1 went with a bus to a nearby farm and to a museum not far from that place. Group 2 would stay at the leirschole, climb the nearby cliffs as well as fishing, canoeing and setting up camp for those who wanted to sleep in a tent the upcoming night.

I went with group 1, since I really wanted to see the museum and the farm. First we drove to the farm were they kept cows and deer. They slaughter their animals from time to time but they also process the wild deer that get hit by cars and die on the road. We got some information on how the meat gets processed and how they care for the cows. We also had the chance to meet, feed and caress the cows who were inside of the barn. THEY WERE SO CUTE! It was also the first time I let a calf suck my hand, their tongue feels kind of rough. It was like a sandpapery feeling on my hand, which I didn’t expect to be honest.

After the farm, we drove to an outside museum. about the war they fought in that area during the second world war. First we got some information (sadly it was in Norwegian so we didn’t really understand it that well) then we went outside. The kids got sheepbells around their neck and they went crazy with them. It was very funny 🤣 Then we looked for the sheep in a certain area and got some more information about the war. The sheep ran away since we were with so many people but that was okay. Lastly, we went to a small house in the area where they displayed artefacts from the war. We even got a book about the war in English for free! We said our goodbyes to the guide and left with the bus back to the leirschole. We ate dinner; sausage with potatoes and had the same schedule as the days prior. I went to the woodworking activity today and made my very own cheeseslicer! I’m glad to take this back home with me 😊

21st September:

This is pretty much our last full day since the children leave again tomorrow morning. Today there’s a hike planned. There were 2 options; either the short steep route or the long less steep route. I went with the second option. It was foggy anyway so I doubted that the scenery would be visible from the top of the small mountain. We hiked until a certain point and ate lunch there, the leirschole teacher accompanying us made nature soup; they picked berries and plants from the surrounding area and boiled it in water and sugar. It was surprisingly amazing! I drank 2 cups and ate my lunch. We hiked a little further down until we came back on the small road near the leirschole. Then we walked back to the school. When everyone was back, we ate some dinner; wraps with taco meat!! (very delicious) and me and 3 of my dormmates organised one of the afternoon activities; braiding friendship bracelets and making dreamcatchers. We had fun and socialised a lot with the kids that participated in our activity. Then at 20h30, other dormmates set up a disco so the children could have a fun last night at the leirschole. After about an hour, everyone went to bed.

22nd September:

Our last day of leirschole 😢 We had a lot of fun this week and are a bit sad that it flew by so fast… We helped the kids with packing their stuff and waved them away. After that me and my dormmates went to the camping spot to put down the tents that were still there. We had a big leftover lunch and took the bus back at 14h. When we arrived back at the studenthousing, everyone had different stories from their week. We talked a lot with each other and shared our experiences. Today I also recieved a letter from a friend back in Belgium! She drew me ducks on the other side of the letter. I loved it!!!

23rd September:

Ooooh how good it feels to sleep in your own bed. I mostly relaxed today. Went to the gym in the morning and worked on my blog. I also cleaned my room a bit. Later that day I went to the library.

24th September:

Sunday funday! I had a very nice breakfast and decided that today was my ultimate selfcare day. I did a facemask, painted my nails in the kitchen and socialised with everyone there. I decided to check on the bruise on my thigh because during one of the days of the leirschole, I fell slightly on my hip but the huge black spot looks more terrifying than the actual pain I felt during the incident itself. Later that night I decided to go to the library again.

Week 18/09 - 24/09

18 september:

Leirschole week!!! Vandaag is de eerste officiële dag van leirschole (een soort bosklassen waar kinderen buitenactiviteiten doen en basisvaardigheden voor buiten leren). Ik en mijn groep ontbeten om 8 uur. Rond 9u30 begonnen de kinderen te arriveren. We hielpen hen met hun bagage en toen alle kinderen waren aangekomen (ongeveer 67 leerlingen 😱), hielpen we hen ook met het opmaken van hun bedden. Na het uitpakken hebben we geluncht en hebben de leirschole leraren iedereen het programma verteld (in het Noors helaas, maar we hadden het programma al op papier dus het was oké). De hele groep werd opgesplitst in 4 kleinere groepen. Elke groep zat 30 minuten bij een hoek. De hoeken waren: EHBO, kanoën, zien hoe geiten gemolken worden en een kleine rondleiding door de leirschole. Na het bezoeken van de 4 hoeken aten we (ja, om 15u30 al!), we kregen gehaktballetjes, aardappelen en groenten. Daarna hadden we wat vrije tijd omdat de kinderen een feedbackmoment deden met hun eigen leerkrachten, dus ik en mijn leirscholegroep keken een film. Rond 18 uur waren er 2 en een half uur aan activiteiten gepland door de leirschole. Activiteiten die bestonden uit; geiten melken, konijntjes uitlaten, kanoën en paardrijden. Om 20u30 hadden we de kans om cornflakes te eten, aangezien we al zo snel hebben gedineerd. Ik at wat en ik en mijn andere klasgenoten gingen naar onze kamer om ons voor te bereiden op de nacht.

19 september:

Aangezien we elke dag om 8 uur ontbijten, gaan we niet te laat naar bed en moeten we vrij vroeg opstaan. Vandaag zijn we in 2 groepen verdeeld. Groep één deed eerst kaart- en oriëntatieloop, waarbij je je moest oriënteren naar een post waar een papier hing. Groep twee ging kanoën naar een plek en wandelde terug naar het beginpunt terwijl ze leerden over eetbare dingen in de natuur zoals bessen. (Ze aten zelfs mieren... MIEREN???) Na een tijdje wisselden de groepen van activiteit. Tussen de activiteiten door lunchten we binnen omdat het een beetje regende. Na de activiteiten aten we aardappelen met viskoekjes en groenten. Net als gisteren hadden we wat vrije tijd en keken we een film, daarna deden we wat activiteiten die bestonden uit; geiten melken, roeien met de kano's en houtbewerken. We aten cornflakes om 20u30, keken de rest van de film en gingen daarna naar bed.

20 september:

Dag 3 van leirschole! Na het ontbijt werd de hele groep weer in tweeën gesplitst. Groep 1 ging met de bus naar een boerderij in de buurt en naar een museum niet ver daar vandaan. Groep 2 zou bij de leirschole blijven, de nabijgelegen kliffen beklimmen, vissen, kanoën en het kamp opzetten voor degenen die de komende nacht in een tent wilden slapen.

Ik ging met groep 1 mee, omdat ik graag het museum en de boerderij wilde zien. Eerst reden we naar de boerderij waar ze koeien en herten hielden. Ze slachten hun dieren van tijd tot tijd, maar ze verwerken ook de wilde herten die door auto's worden aangereden en sterven op de weg. We kregen wat informatie over hoe het vlees wordt verwerkt en hoe ze voor de koeien zorgen. We kregen ook de kans om de koeien in de stal te ontmoeten, te voeren en te strelen. ZE WAREN ZO SCHATTIG! Het was ook de eerste keer dat ik een kalf aan mijn hand liet zuigen, hun tong voelde nogal ruw aan. Het was een soort zandpapierachtig gevoel op mijn hand, wat ik eerlijk gezegd niet had verwacht.

Na de boerderij reden we naar een buitenmuseum over de oorlog die ze in dat gebied voerden tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Eerst kregen we wat informatie (helaas was het in het Noors, dus we begrepen het niet zo goed) en daarna gingen we naar buiten. De kinderen kregen schapenbellen om hun nek en daar gingen ze helemaal los mee. Het was erg grappig 🤣 Daarna zochten we de schapen in een bepaald gebied en kregen we wat meer informatie over de oorlog. De schapen renden weg omdat we met zoveel mensen waren, maar dat was niet erg. Tot slot gingen we naar een klein huis in de buurt waar ze voorwerpen uit de oorlog tentoonstelden. We kregen zelfs een gratis boek over de oorlog in het Engels! We namen afscheid van de gids en vertrokken met de bus terug naar de leirschole. We aten het avondeten; worst met aardappelen en hadden hetzelfde programma als de dagen ervoor. Ik ging vandaag naar de houtbewerkingsactiviteit en maakte mijn eigen kaasschaaf! Die neem ik graag mee naar huis 😊

21 september:

Dit is zo'n beetje onze laatste volle dag aangezien de kinderen morgenochtend weer vertrekken. Vandaag staat er een wandeling op het programma. Er waren 2 opties; de korte steile route of de lange minder steile route. Ik ben voor de tweede optie gegaan. Het was sowieso mistig dus ik betwijfelde of het landschap goed zichtbaar zou zijn vanaf de top van de kleine berg. We wandelden tot een bepaald punt en aten daar de lunch, de leirschole leraren die ons vergezelden maakte natuursoep; ze plukten bessen en planten uit de omgeving en kookten het in water en suiker. Het was verrassend lekker! Ik dronk 2 kopjes en at mijn lunch op. We wandelden nog een stukje verder naar beneden tot we terugkwamen op het weggetje bij de leirschole. Daarna liepen we terug naar de school. Toen iedereen terug was, aten we wat; wraps met taco vlees!!! (erg lekker) en organiseerden ik en 3 van mijn klasgenoten een van de namiddagactiviteiten; vriendschapsarmbandjes vlechten en dromenvangers maken. We hadden veel plezier en socialiseerden veel met de kinderen die deelnamen aan onze activiteit. Daarna, om 20u30, zetten andere klasgenoten een disco op zodat de kinderen een leuke laatste avond op de leirschole konden hebben. Na ongeveer een uur ging iedereen naar bed.

22 september:

Onze laatste dag op de leirschole 😢 We hebben veel plezier gehad deze week en zijn een beetje verdrietig dat het zo snel voorbij is gevlogen… We hielpen de kinderen met het inpakken van hun spullen en zwaaiden ze uit. Daarna zijn ik en mijn huisgenoten naar de kampeerplek gegaan om de tenten die er nog stonden neer te zetten. We aten een grote lunch van overschotten en namen om 14u de bus terug. Toen we terugkwamen aan het studentenhuis, had iedereen verschillende verhalen van hun week. We hebben veel met elkaar gepraat en onze ervaringen gedeeld. Vandaag kreeg ik ook een brief van een vriendin uit België! Op de andere kant van de brief tekende ze eendjes voor me. Ik vond het geweldig!!!

23 september:

Ooooh wat voelt het goed om in je eigen bed te slapen. Ik heb vooral gerelaxt vandaag. Ik ben 's ochtends naar de gym geweest en heb aan mijn blog gewerkt. Ik heb ook mijn kamer een beetje opgeruimd. Later op de dag ging ik naar de bibliotheek.

24 september:

Sunday funday! Ik had een heel lekker ontbijt en besloot dat vandaag mijn ultieme selfcare dag was. Ik deed een gezichtsmasker, lakte mijn nagels in de keuken en socialiseerde met iedereen daar. Ik besloot de blauwe plek op mijn bovenbeen te controleren omdat ik tijdens een van de dagen van de leirschole op mijn heup was gevallen, maar de enorme zwarte plek zag er angstaanjagender uit dan de pijn die ik voelde tijdens het incident zelf. Later die avond besloot ik weer naar de bibliotheek te gaan.
