i remember when everyone laughed about liam saying he was positioned as the face of the band and I held my tongue at the time because you have to pick your battles on the internet. but anyone that was there during the x-factor days and for the first album knows that he was indeed the "first line man." he opened almost every song on up all night while zayn and harry carried the bridges and choruses. he was the band's most experienced vocalist and performer at the time.

then, he went on to be one of the main writers with Louis and came up with the concept for one of their best songs, Better Than Words. then, people tried to erase his contribution to No Control and Home.

when people say that liam had such a big impact on the band and their lives, it isn't overexaggeration. in a lot of ways, he was and still is the face of the band, even though the other members may have risen above him in popularity. he talked about the band and made his support of the other guys known in public. he gave us a lot of insight into what we suspected was going on and whether the people who hated him for that wanted to admit it or not, he carried it on and gave people something to talk about.

Hi lovely,

Oh god, there are so many from the lyric changes, to the banter, to Twitter question moments, to just them being them in interviews, and participating in fan projects. So many wild but amazing moments, though one always takes the cake, 09.12.15. The last 1d US tour show at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough Mass. I was there, the whole show is a wild memory. Niall's birthday show, liam in a banana sweatshirt, Louis being lovable as fuck, and Harry running with a rainbow flag. I will never forget that day, as I stood in the 100 level stands with tears running down my face seeing all the boys faces light up from the screens as Harry ran down the stage.

A different wild memory is the cluster fuck that was 1D Day. I watch the whole thing live, completely insane :)

The city of Wolverhampton has decided to shift Liam's Memorial to West Park and look at these workers handling every bouquet and offering delicately and respectfully.

They also created a beautiful tribute with all of the offerings fans left at the memorial. I'm all teary. Thank you for showing love and respect to our boy. He must be rejoicing seeing his town do this for him.

somehow i feel like im not doing or saying enough to emphasize how much that damn band meant and means to me. & im just here on my little blog mostly talking to myself. I can’t imagine how all the people in his life feel. having to share a part of their grief with the world when they knew him so intimately. on one hand i can imagine that it’s comforting to have that love echoed by millions. on the other hand, there are also millions of people waiting for their next move. what will they say. how will they look. analyzing everything in a way that will make it harder for them to learn how to live and grow with this unimaginable pain. i do not envy that at all.
