ARCADE DAY!!!! BACK AT IT AGAIN AT THE HUUUGE GAME CENTER!!!! it's been so long since i've gotten to play these games omg... literally since last year i haven't been able to play a majority of these games, but i'm here!!! i'm back!!! and i'm ready to kill it here!!! may or may not go over the image limit here, in which case i'll split this into two posts, but let's make the most with the images we have and get this party STARTED!!!

so first thing to note: the DX cabs have been upgraded to the second-newest maimai DX PRiSM!!! and so while my rating dropped a bit as the new version songs rotated out, there's plenty of new songs to gain rating and have fun with playing!!! ...though i did get a bit cocky with playing some of the 13s here www (scored p bad) . but in due time, after choking and only getting AA-AAAs on 13s, i got back up to my beloved purple 10k rating!!! sets were split and broken up past this point, but i found it easier to combine everything into this section and giving the rest of the games their own spotlight, so make of the scores what you will...

quick break from the maimai to bring you... PIU XX!!! FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A REAL LONG WHILE!!! AND WE'RE PICKING BACK UP WITH BOONG BOONG D19!!! gahghh i missed the kpop licenses from this version so much and this was one of my favorites, i don't think i even got to play the D19 before it was removed!!! maybe i'm did, but am glad to have (probably) upscored it now regardless :]) and later on, i upscored it a ton and also cleared Rooftop D20 for the first time!

NOW IT'S 5KEY TIME!!! first the korean, then the japanese -- a quick and fun A-rank on Morgenglut 2012 (NM 8) (5K Standard) in EZ2AC (and upscored it to an S in two more plays!) before moving onto beatmania THE FINAL and figuring out how to play Another charts!! and with this newfound knowledge, i got to play R3, Jam & Marmalade, and SHOX (fail lol) on ANOTHER, plus SALAMANDER BEAT CRUSH MIX ~CRASH MIX~ on HARD since it doesn't have an ANOTHER lol

misc score time!!! just to hopefully end off this post clean and complete :] got a teensy bit of ONGEKI in (not as much as i'd normally want to, though) and cleared some new 12s with very bad acc :3c then i played Daisuke on DanEvo today in between the already-sent scores, and then back at hope as i was recovering from all the energy expended today... i got a sweet new PM on STARGATE EXTREME (ETR-9+, MAX-20) as ETR PM #14!!! yippee!!!!!

April 6th, 2025 - CHUNITHM SUN PLUS, maimai PRiSM, DDR A3, pop'n music, PIU XX, EZ2AC, ONGEKI, beatmania (1/2)

a big arcade post of mine starting with chunithm?? instead of maimai?? how queer! yeah, i don't know why i started playing the funny-yet-low-demand slider game first instead of queuing up for maimai, but hey!! game time is game time, and i think i was in a card line anyway prior to playing :] so any ways, here's all the scores i got during this quick session!!! featuring insanely good upscores on charts like ZEUS [MASTER 14], Utakata no Sekai de [MASTER 14+, and Elemental Ethnic [MASTER 14+]... and even a slight rating boost from a near-SSS 1-miss score on conflict [MASTER 14]!!!

okay, NOW it's back to maimai gaming time . the queue finally cleared up between sets, and i was up to go play, so i did just that!!! unlike with the scores from yesterday though, i tried today to focus on taking it slower and playing Expert charts rather than the more technical and mentally exhausting Master charts of this new version, and i ended up getting 11k rating out of it!!! neat!!! but then with more songs to play and many more SSS+s to set, i jumped from barely getting 11k to now being at 11.6k... what? (also i only realized halfway that i was showing my rival scores rather than my judgement breakdown on the bottom screen, whoops! should be fixed from here on out...

now you may (not) be wondering, "okay, but why's there so much conflict in this post?" well, it just so happens that a friend challenged me to play conflict (or FLOWER if not available) in as many rhythm games as i can, on the hardest difficulty i can clear, and to take pictures of all my successful attempts. so now that i've cleared out most of the maimai/chuni scores for now, here's a massive miscellaneous game block featuring all those scores sand all those games!!! most notable of these scores include playing pop'n for the first time in a real long while, KING OF SALES D19 SS GFC ON PIU XX GRADING SYSTEM!!! GRAGHHHHHH!!!!! also cleared conflict D21 after several failed attempts!!!

switching back to ye ol' 5K for this next block, it's a bit of beatmania co-op/doubles i hijacked with someone else at the place!!! not necessarily as impressive as normal, but ehhh it's all in good fun anyways :3c also did a few suggestions and a few jammers on the EZ2AC end, including an FC/ALL COMBO on Messier 333 [NM 8, 5K Only]!!!

whoops, exhausted all the images i can fit in this post!!! definitely the longest and densest day today in terms of rhythm gaming, so i'll be back in another post to finish off this day with all the leftover scores!!! including an arcade game never seen before on this account?? hm, what could it be, i wonder...?

October 19th, 2023 - DANCE aROUND, PIU XX

WE'RE HERE!!! IN THE HOME OF THE ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME!!! it was so surreal that i almost couldn't believe it... finally actually being in the state of my very first tournament... and i sure as hell was gonna make it a good one!!!

we were already here and with little to do before my actual events started, so i went with my family to the rock & roll hall of fame and had a ton of fun there!! was way bigger than we both could've imagined, yet it was filled to the brim with the coolest stuff i've seen in a museum. 10/10 experience, wish i brought back a souvenir but the gift shop was waaay too expensive discounting what we had already paid for the entrance fee.

that was all i really know to do in ohio, so we went on our way first to eat, then to the hotel, and finally... we arrived at the event hotspot. round 1 great lakes mall, where they were already advertising the DDR tournament happening this weekend!

i arrived at the hotspot and was... overwhelmed at first! so many people and so much noise, and it seemed like every cab was occupied. so while i was there, i warmed up with some DaR, feeling the most out of place that i could be even though everyone else here was a fellow rhythm gamer.

after this, i wandered around some more and met some other friends that i didn't know were even coming, like zelenk/voltiva!!! and lolitsme from SCM!!! after meeting and greeting, i still wandered around for stuff to do and found that the PIU cab was completely unoccupied! only being worked on for the stream setup and the like. so i gave it a set in order to warm up for my tourney set tomorrow evening... looking good so far!

i managed to stick around and watch most of the ddr challenges event with voltiva since there wasn't much else to do other than wait in card lines, but it looked SO FUN. i really need to sign up early next time if i even get the chance... but after that, it was time to head to the hotel and rest up, since i had a massive day ahead of me that i didn't want hindered by jet lag! until tomorrow then, see you in the next post!

TONDEMO TIME!!! I ALREADY REGRET IT!!!

but more than just that, i also went to dave & busters to play a qualifier for MOTL5 and meet up with friends! didn't get to play a ton because of that, but i had some fun with them and had some fun in the game too!

this session also made me realize that the shoes i use for pump kinda suck, so i gotta get some new ones before the big day...

after months of planning in advance and never finishing, i released my first ever sonolus chart in complete condition!!! go check it out HERE! (hover over the link before clicking it, practice internet safety. if you're on PC, it'll just give you an overview of the chart)

also in today's news; i went to round 1 for a tournament hosted by shoopa, my very first one! what kind of tournament was it, you might ask?

...phenomenal.

these are the two songs i played and scores i got in the tourney! didn't research if these were good i just rolled with them for fun

and while i was there, i snagged a broken A on Love is a Danger Zone 2 - FULL SONG - D21 ! it's a lot of misses, but i'm pretty confident i can get it on cab sometime soon (if i ever went to david busters)

redoing this post because the original description kinda sucked (not really past me's fault, i was just in a rush to post as many images as possible while in my hotel)

oh well; excuses, excuses, show us the GOOD STUFF (GOOD SCORES)

well for IIDX, i decided to use it again as a warmup to see if it'd help with playing DDR! while i didn't get any one notable score here (aside from finally clearing Te Extraño Mucho SPH-9 after 3 total tries), i felt my overall acc/consistency improve which is EXACTLY why i used it as a DDR warmup

transitioned to playing DDR with this knowledge in mind and proceeded to use None of it as i played Uppers instead (and also a bit of Infinity, where i did co-op with someone else at the arcade !)

BUT!!! I GFC'ED LINDWURM ESP-17!!!! AN INSANELY BRUTAL CHART!!! MASSIVE

after work though, i did my first ever back-to-back one-day arcade session in which i went to round 1 and played some iidx/ddr!! (that border fail on odo wwww)

ONCE AGAIN, MASSIVE PUMP DAY!! at first it was singles because of a local friend, but i got my first S17 S out of it !

then they left and i Immediately kicked into doubles mode !! TWO NEW D20s (Dual Racing and Cleaner) and some CLOSE ATTEMPTS on others (as well as Decent scores on D19s)

someday i'll get you too, la cinquantaine... only unfortunately not today...

shanti!! incredible chart, still have yet to AP >>

then also, takumi!!! branching out to more charts and even getting my first 14 FC !

and then after all that, i have a MASSIVE pump session to share FULL of really good clears (but please forgive the quality on the Danger & Danger S16 score, had to go through my phone and get the first frame of the motion photo just to have any idea of what it was)

as it so happens to turn out (only now realizing because i didn't capture the end screen pop-up), those 18 clears were enough to get me the highly coveted INTERMEDIATE LV.10 TITLE!!! i'm at the top and it only gets higher into Advanced from here!!

but since it took me a while to equip it, there's a few scores where i still only have the Intermediate Lv.9 title equipped, so here are those real quick...

done? done. now LET'S GET INTO THE REAL ACTION

bit more vivid/stasis grinding and world record stealing before having a Round 1 Day !!

and now, for the Round 1 Day scores! started off GAMING with sdvx...

...then kinda felt disappointed when i tried PIU and experienced the pads being... really bad. like, actually unplayable. couldn't recover any life due to how often i dropped combo and only got one new clear. wish they actually cared for the pads...

but, i made up for it with some DDR! tried to progress in my clear lamp and got some really neat sightreads along the way (including a raise to AA- on Black Emperor CSP-18!)

AAANYWAAAAYS moving on to the pump side of things where i suddenly visited David Busters and seem to have gotten a new S19? i've lost count of how many i've had up to now...

buuut along with that, there's a bunch of new doubles charts played in the same sesh! (could've said cleared if it weren't for Yog Sothoth..)

but not only that -- turns out i got an all-new S20 on this day too! my third one, i think! i'm not counting those either (looking at my twitter though, it seems like it Actually was my third)
