It’s been a mad experience, it’s been very good.

[Louis is] a really nice ­fella to be fair, he’s not up himself. He’s a very down-to-earth fella actually, I think he’s really nice. He has loads of tunes as well, he’s done really well for himself.

He’s very talented. I’d love to work with Louis. The level of how supportive his fans are of support bands has been great, there’s a full-blown community and it’s been quite nice to see.

This has the best change of circumstance in the first quarter that shows actions have consequences for everyone. (Can’t call it a plot twist, since it doesn’t make you rethink anything, but, eh...)

I checked on the timer app when there were 23 minutes remaining out of the preset 61 minutes. Thereafter, I attempted affirming with the hopes to keep going for those 23 minutes. However, I fell asleep. So, I am assuming that I meditated for about 45 minutes.

It does get difficult to complete an hour of unbroken meditation when the struggle is about the depth of mind one is meditating in. So many of my meditations have been about building stamina to last in a certain new depth of mind.

In fact, in all the 24 years of my practice, I would say 90% of meditations have been about building stamina at the depth of mind I happen to be at. Just when I have found success at lasting a suitable duration at a particular depth, I have been blessed with another depth and the struggle to last long has been renewed.

I have tried adding more meditation sessions to any given day in order to raise the daily average duration to at least an hour. It works. However, I don’t always have the opportunity to add more than one nightly meditation to any given day. I must find a way to effortlessly last for 23 minutes after a full session.

After all, it is my mind or perhaps my attention that’s convinced that I have completed a full session and now I can stop meditating. But I don’t want to stop so early. I must find a trick to keep my attention going tirelessly with meditation. After about 24 years of the blessed practice, I should be able to trick my mind into something so wholesomely good for me.

Segev Shushan (28) and Anita Lisman (25) z"l were murdered by hamas terrorists in the Re'im music festival massacre in the south of Israel, on October 7th, 2023. Anita and Segev were a couple, they had moved in together not long before the Nova festival. Each of them left behind parents, siblings, other family members and friends. May they rest in peace.
