( zoey deutch, 25, ciswoman, she/her ) GRACIE-LYNN “ACE” GELLER has been living in Point Place for 21 YEARS. Their favorite song is TURN THE BEAT AROUND BY VICKI SUE ROBINSON. They’re currently up to ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT AT POINT PLACE HIGH SCHOOL, but they’d rather be SKATING AT THE ROLLER RINK. First impressions usually stick around here, and others describe them as HUMOUROUS, SARCASTIC, & SOCIABLE. Stick around to get to know the real them.
BIO & HEADCANNONS
► Absolutely hates her name (which started when she was little and had a super huge mega crush on a boy who was her neighbor at the time, but after he found out she liked him, he started picking on her and making fun of her name).
► When meeting someone new, she'll always introduce herself as Ace.
► Begrudgingly only allows her family to call her Gracie-Lynn (but that’s only cause her mom always gives her grief about having such hatred for the name she ‘ever so carefully’ picked out for her all those years ago).
► Has always been a social butterfly and loved any opportunity she had to be with her friends. Whether it was at school or play dates on the weekends, she could hardly ever hold her excitement in. Unfortunately, a lot of the time she ended up being a little too excited for others to handle; more often than not she’d ended up coming across as annoying instead. This is still a trait that rings true for her as an adult, but she has a bit more control over it now. She can usually tell when she’s crossing the line into obnoxiousness, but there are still times when she really doesn’t realize it’s happened until it’s too late.
► Easiest way to her heart is through her stomach. Whether it’s swapping lunches, allowing her to steal some of the fries off your plate, or even something as small as sharing your bag of chips with her, she will love you forever.
► Has only really experienced life outside of Point Place during her college years
► Immediately moved back to town after her senior year of college when her father suffered a back injury at his factory, hindering his ability to work anymore. Not wanting her younger brother to lose focus on his own studies and career dreams, she immediately moved back to town to help around the house with the bills and caring for her father as much as she can while both she and her mother are the sole breadwinners for the family.

hi, i'm zero (he/they/xe) and i've never written on tumblr, it's been intimidating, so bare with me! pls & ty! anyways, this is eve and i think she's absolutely perfect. the perfect mom friend. :) more info below, of course, so go read it and leave a like if you'd like to plot!
( winona ryder, fifty, cis female, she/her/hers ) EVELYN 'EVE' DUBROIS has been living in Point Place for HER ENTIRE LIFE. Their favorite song is THE BOY NEXT DOOR BY JUDY GARLAND . They’re currently up to TEACHING KINDERGARTEN AT OUR LADY, but they’d rather be SEWING AND SELLING HER OWN PERIOD DRESSES. First impressions usually stick around here, and others describe them as NURTURING, METICULOUS AND DETACHED. Stick around to get to know the real them.
so, evelyn or eve, was born here in point place in 1927. her parents were high school sweethearts that married each other at eighteen, living modestly but happily in a mobile home park; her mother was a beauty school student turned hairdresser and her father helped run the family tailoring business. she remembers spending time at the tailoring shop after school, her grandmother helping her with homework before she watched her dad perform alters; the art of sewing being something she learned very early on.
(tw for fertility talk) eve's mother had fertility issues, which left eve the only child and left her with the same fate in the future; this ultimately led her down the path of becoming a teacher at the school. she's able to educate young minds and nurture them as she is naturally a nurturing woman. she's a great mom friend so please let her protect all the babies.
(tw for religious themes) both her parents were catholic, they both grew up in the religion so it was instilled in eve through mass and prayer. weekly and sometimes daily practices. she, herself, goes weekly because she feels obligated to - she works there. i would describe her as a casual catholic, she's spiritual with herself but never forces it on others!
her love of sewing period dresses came from films like musicals or disney and dolls that her grandmother bought her occasionally. it's something nostalgic and comforting to her. she's an og disney adult, beware!
two more connections i want are an ex-fiance (any gender) and someone, closer to her age, that she can confide in like a best friend. she started teaching kindergarten in at 30 (1957) so she could even be a 20 or youngers teacher! (i think i did the math right- help sdjffdkjn)
her detached trait is mostly in romantic relationships as she has had a failed engagement. meticulous because she's a perfectionist when it comes to her career, she wants to appear professional but also prove to be a success at what she does; always improving and learning.
today, she lives alone in a two bedroom house, filling the spare with guests from time to time; other days her pet st. bernard - eeyore. other than sewing, she enjoys cooking and baking for church potlocks or gifting her food in general. she also enjoys sneaking away for a hike to clear her mind and admire nature.

( ellie bamber, 23, cis female, she/her ) RHIANNON 'RHIA' ANDREWS has been living in Point Place for TWENTY THREE YEARS. Their favorite song is KILLER QUEEN BY QUEEN. They’re currently up to WORKING AT THE RECORD STORE, but they’d rather be ATTENDING CONCERTS. First impressions usually stick around here, and others describe them as EASY GOING, CHARISMATIC AND 'WILD'. Stick around to get to know the real them. ( sky, 21, GMT-3, she/her )
☆ born to carefree, and self-proclaimed hippies during the 60s, parents -- rhiannon was given a childhood that would set her up for what the rest of her life would be like. david & johanna instilled the basical morals & values that you'd teach your child if you wanted them to grow up into a decent person, but apart from that? they didn't believe or rules. or limitations. there was absolutely no pressure from either of them to go into a specific path. she didn't even have a curfew. they wanted her to have fun. enjoy life. and discover herself.
☆ this sounds cool, right? the other kids sure thought so! they always complained about how jealouss they were of her. and it is, in a way. it's something rhia talks about fondly, says how it made such an independent person out of her. how it made her 'free'. but, in the back of her mind, it's always nagged her. she wishes they'd given her some structure, and acted like parents instead of friends -- it bordered on neglect, at times, and made her feel like they didn't really care about her.
☆ in the end, it didn't really matter. because, whatever she didn't get at home, she got outside of it. she was the type of girl to have a lot of friends, back at school. popular, but kind. kind, but not boring. that sort of thing. she got along with all sorts of groups of people, not sticking to one -- mostly because she changed her personality around to suit whoever she was around with. that way, they'd find her cool. and, that way, she'd have attention on her. after all, why be yourself when you could play along with people's dreams and ensure their love?
☆ this is a behaviour she carried into adulthood. old habits die hard. she doesn't even know who 'herself' is, anymore.
☆ a little bit before her senior year of high school, she picked up at job at grooves, the record store. she was starting to think long term, so she figured she'd start saving up money /now/. it was easy enough. cashier. say hi, learn to work the register, wrap up the product -- and just hang out by herself, when no one was around. a good experience, to set her up.
☆ in fact, it was so good she grew to love it! she offered to close the store more often than not, and work late shifts. she liked to sit on the floor, and go through the records. use the jukebox to listen to them for free, because employee's benefit (not really, her manager wasn't aware, but she reckons he didn't care). she discovered a bunch of bands that way, and had a rerun of a few that her parents used to play in the living room when she was a kid.
☆ suffice to say, the money she'd been saving up ended up going to concert tickets. if she liked it enough, she just HAD to go and see them live! whenever they showed up in town, anyways. she wasn't invested enough to travel yet. but, when she was, she took rides with other in vans with people who were going to the same location as her.
☆ she graduated, and decided she was happy enough with her job -- happy enough to stay in it, and not pursue further education. she'd been there long enough for the manager to be fond of her, and allow her to get away with some stuff. that, and she wanted to devote herself to music. not participate in it, per se, but support those who did. live it. dance to it all night. if that were a career, she'd be employee of the month!
☆ her parents helped her with enough money to buy herself a tiny apartment, and bid her goodbye (it didn't feel like she was living there anymore, anyways, so not much changed). not too expensive, but not completely cheap. she was able to keep up with rent, and support her 2 cats (who started off hiding, but then were just accepted by the landlord because it'd been too long by the time he found them).
☆ she's known around the world of music just by how often you can find her in the audience, and backstage (she almost always has a pass around her neck). it's reached a point where she gets tickets for free, sometimes, and she's been seen numerous times in magazines just standing in the background chatting with band members. her flashy, glittery makeup, COLORFUL clothes (feather boas, mini skirts, platform boots, flowy dresses) & red hair don't allow her to go unnoticed -- but no one really knows who she is. she's been mentioned, at most, as 'a mystery groupie'.
#70s.intro#( OKAY so this is a bit of a mess but i wanted to JUST PUBLISH IT ALREADY#sorry it took so long dkajfkj#also i wrote it while listening to noel's lament so she's a wreck bye#also also her cats are called ziggy & stardust and i find that cute okay )

SAGE SOMMERS has been living in Point Place for 3 YEARS. Their favorite song is DREAMS BY FLEETWOOD MAC. They’re currently up to BEING A CASHIER AT GROOVES, but they’d rather be WRITING MUSIC. First impressions usually stick around here, and others describe them as EXPRESSIVE, INDULGENT, & CHARMING. Stick around to get to know the real them.
sage sommers, talented musician, handsome guy, all american dreamboat. he has been in point place for three uneventful years, as he'd been on the college education grind, working at grooves, and living his not-so-best life. if you asked him how he was, he'd give you that bored-to-tears midwesterner ❝ living the dream ❞.
he can play eight instruments to varying degrees and although most of them, like the trombone, are things he doesn't ever pick up, he will whip out his ukulele and start strumming a tune if ever the opportunity presents itself.
he'd like to get an actual job at an actual record label as a songwriter, seeing as he already does that as often as he can. he's always writing in notebooks, on napkins, and to-go bags little bits of songs that he'll probably never turn into anything more, but he has to get it out or the ideas mutate in his head until he can't think straight.
doesnt talk to his parents or his older sister but they live just a few hours away in the even smaller town he'd felt so compelled to leave as soon as he could.
he has a cat named tiny tim.

( jennifer coolidge, 61, cis female, she/her ) GLADYS AYCOX has been living in Point Place for SIXTY-ONE YEARS. Their favorite song is TEQUILA BY THE CHAMPS. They’re currently up to HOMEMAKER, but they’d rather be GOING TO COLLEGE. First impressions usually stick around here, and others describe them as SHALLOW, CARING, VIBRANT. Stick around to get to know the real them.
Born Gladys Hoffman on April 1st, 1916 to as well-to-do a family as Point Place could offer. From birth she would be held to a standard above all her neighbors lest her parents be seen associating with the lower class.
But Gladys was not like her parents and made friends everywhere she went from all walks of life. Even so, many of her peers regarded her as shallow, and somewhat ditzy despite her having quite the head on her shoulders. By seventeen, in 1933, she found out her parents had arranged a marriage for her to a Clive Aycox, a somewhat tolerable but uninteresting young man from the same social circle. To say she didn't want to marry him was an understatement. She did not want to marry any man, for that matter.
The nuptials did go ahead as planned, despite all of her protests. Within five years of the wedding, they had four children and they became the joy of her life. She dedicated her every waking moment to their care, but always took into account their wants and desires when making decisions for them and vowed they would be allowed to marry whom they loved regardless of station if indeed they wished marriage at all. Decades passed with her being a dutiful homemaker, but it would come to an end after her last child moved out and she n longer had someone to turn her attention to.
Now with a lot of free time on her hands, Gladys actually had time for her own interests, and indeed find out what those interests were. And a desire to go to college and study. her husband just laughed at her. Why would a woman of her age go to college ? There was no point.
Fed up, she finally filed for divorce, moved to a small ( very pink ) apartment and enrolled in a local university. Now to be truly happy, all she needs is to find the woman of her dreams. But one step at a time, right ?

in a lot of ways, her parents sending her to live with her aunt and uncle in america was the worst thing to ever happen to zehra. she was the only child of two very loving parents and dreamed of being a professional painter. she spent nine years enjoying her childhood and studying art to her hearts content, never knowing what was in store for her. they thought they were helping her by sending her to a fancy art camp in ankara, where she would stay with her mother's sister and her husband. and at first, it was great. the art camp was amazing and she'd write home every week. but when it came time for her to board the train home, she never made it. her parents haven't seen her since. to her knowledge, they passed away when she was eleven.
now forced to live a lie, and punished often and severely if she didn't do so believably, zehra struggled to figure herself out. while most kids her age were worrying about puberty and boys and homework, zehra was learning how to lie to the police and paint just like the master painters. anywhere money could be made, her uncle had his fingers in the pie. and while he had no artistic talent of his own, his artist niece was too afraid of him to ever say no. he had them run out of every major city in america, either by the police or the local criminals, eventually settling down in wisconsin, where her uncle began his forgery business. identification cards, documents, and, of course, his niece's fake masterpieces. it was good money and with the efficiency of the postal service, he could do so from their home without really drawing much attention. zehra turned to desperate measures to balance his increasing demands on top of her already struggling grades and pretending to be normal. it started with coffee to keep her awake for hours, until coffee wasn't strong enough. she started experimenting with harder and harder substances, and now she can't stop.
it wasn't all terrible, thankfully, as zehra has made friends in the last ten years since she's been here. she discovered her passion for music, after a couple of friends in high school inspired her to start learning the bass guitar. music was easy. she didn't have to worry about a language barrier when she was strumming. music was real, she didn't have to lie or fake it. her friends were her saving grace. right out of high school, she got a job sorting and filing records at the local radio station. undiagnosed learning disorders and a controlling uncle prevented any chance of a college career, but she was happy. she has worked her way up to co-hosting a show, spending her free time causing trouble with her friends and playing in the band. she still lives with her uncle because she's too scared of what will happen if she tries to leave, but at least she's got mizrak, or mizzy for for short, with whom she is inseparable.

( herman tømmeraas, 23, cis male, he/him ) stellan alto has been living in point place for thirteen years. their favorite song is somebody to love by queen. they’re currently up to working at the fotohut, but they’d rather be smoking weed & sketching. first impressions usually stick around here, and others describe them as secretive, alluring, & humble. stick around to get to know the real them.

background story ;
stellan was born in sweden’s capital, stockholm, to a single mother named anya berg. his father, a portuguese man named paolo alto, was in and out of the picture when he was younger. stellan somewhat had contact with him at first, but eventually, he stopped visiting, stopped writing, and stellan never bothered to keep in touch with him, as he lived on the other side of the world in the states
his upbringing wasn’t the best, but his mother cared about him, and a lot. when he was younger, he was a very hyperactive child. he talked a lot, he misbehaved a lot, and he never knew when to stop. his mother, while she adored him, did little to nothing to help his behavior
in fact, every few months or so, stellan met a new guy his mother was seeing, and was forced to call him ‘dad’, which only worsened his hyperactive behavior, and caused him to act out in school
it was always someone rich, someone who could pay their apartment off and buy him nice things until his mother grew sick of them and moved onto the next. it was a continuous cycle, and unfortunately, stellan didn’t know anything besides that. to him, having a new partner who paid your bills every few months was normal. after all, it was something his mother often did
still, stellan didn’t resent his mother despite her behavior. even with her flighty ways, she always at least tried to be a good mom, and eventually, he began taking advantage of the situation, often times milking his mother’s new lovers for things he wanted, since he knew it wouldn’t be long before he was taking advantage of some other idiot
soon enough, his mother met a man who was bound to show up in his nightmares sooner rather than later. this man’s name was david. at first, david appeared to be a nice, loving man, but soon enough, stellan realized he wasn’t who he appeared to be
! tw the next two bullets contain abuse, and brief mentions of molestation, proceed with caution ! one day, when his mother is out and about, and he thinks david is sound asleep in her room, stellan sneaks inside and begins to look through his wallet, prepared to steal his money and blame it on him being reckless. little does he expect for david to wake up while he’s in the middle of doing this, and little does he expect for him to be black out drunk. he was caught red handed, and before he can even try to think of some shitty excuse, david begins to hit him, and scream at him while calling him many names, such as brat, spoiled, robber, etc
and honestly, stellan doesn’t really know what to do. he’s ten at the time, so he kind of just takes it because for one, david is a lot bigger and obviously stronger than he is. eventually, david lets him go, and he struggles back into his room, breaking down into tears. not even a full ten minutes pass by and david is walking inside, apologizing over and over again, and telling him how much he loves him and his mother, to which stellan just cries. even when david is telling him how special he is, even when david is leaning in for a hug. but a hug turns into a kiss, and a kiss turns into a touch, and stellan isn’t sure what happened or what to even call what happened, but he knows deep down in his heart that he didn’t like it. it made him feel unsafe, and uncomfortable and scared, but he’s being told over and over again that no one would ever believe him if he ever says anything, so despite desperately wanting to tell his mother what happened when she got home, he doesn’t, and tells her that his wounds are a result of a fight he picked at school
the next two months are hell on earth for him. it takes two months of seeing his aggressor, two months of sharing a roof with him, and two months for his mother to get sick of david and move onto the next. still, what happened between them that night is forever engraved into his brain, giving him repetitive nightmares
from then on out, unfortunately, things only seem to worsen for him. his mother is diagnosed with breast cancer and passes away after a few months, and, the only person stellan can think to call is his father, even though he hasn’t spoken to him in years
thankfully for him, his father is more than willing to care for him, but that meant leaving a life he’s always known and moving to a place, and a continent, he’s never even considered visiting before. stellan permanently moves in with his father in point place, wisconsin when he’s almost eleven years old
that once talkative, energetic and bubbly kid he was is replaced by someone cold, calculating, and unwelcoming. his demeanor and personality completely change after the things he’s been through, resulting in him turning into someone he told himself he would never be
his father, while he isn’t a terrible guy, doesn’t share the same views that he does, which results in them constantly fighting, up to the point where his teenage years feel like a nightmare
stellan doesn’t talk much at school. in fact, he often ignores people and was even once asked ‘do you speak’, to which he just ignored the question and walked past said person. while he isn’t a bully, he found himself picking fights with people who tested his patience, turning into someone mean and even aggressive when messed around with. the amount of times he’s come home with bruised and bloody knuckles after picking a fight was truly unbelievable, but in his eyes, why were people in his way?
even with all of this, stellan isn’t stupid. he graduates high school easily, but decides against going to college, and with money he saved up from working at the fotohut and secretly selling weed, stellan manages to finance a small apartment to move away from his father, a place he can somewhat call home
headcanons ;
stellan is a very creative individual. he loves to draw and paint and finds this to be a relaxing past time. he is what you would call the ‘quiet artsy stoner guy’
he doesn’t know what he wants to do with his life. part of him wants to finish a small career and become an interior designer to make more money, but the other part of him is depressed and unmotivated
surprisingly, he’s good at distributing money. he isn’t rich, but he’s never lacking in anything because he’s smart financially, tricks he’s picked up from a few of his mother’s previous rich boyfriends
stellan can be very mean, but when you really get to know him, which is rare, he’s like a different person. stellan isn’t someone that you want as your enemy, because if he really doesn’t like you, he can genuinely make your days a living hell
he has undiagnosed ptsd and bipolar disorder, with more manic episodes than anything. he will be up for days with little to no sleep, manic as hell, and think nothing is wrong with him. during these manic episodes, he can get very creative and paint and paint and paint, but he can also become very destructive, and restless in a bad way
despite really needing help, and to probably be put on medication, stellan doesn’t believe in therapy, something his mother and father have engraved into his brain. as they have both stated, ‘we don’t do therapy, that’s for the weak’
besides painting, and working, stellan likes going to the gym. he isn’t one of those gym junkies, but he feels like exercise keeps his mind occupied, and he’s a big fan of not thinking, because his thoughts can get rather dark
honestly hate this but he has… a pet snake. a scarlet kingsnake to be exact. the snake is only sixteen inches long, nonvenomous and absolutely harmless, but anyone who doesn’t like snakes is iffy. his snake is named snake bell, a funny take on taco bell. really describes his personality spot on, but he loves this snake
he smokes a lot of weed, up to the point where it makes him idiotic, but he doesn’t really do anything else besides that. realistically speaking, he isn’t opposed to experimenting, but most of the time, he’s too busy to partake in such things
he has never told anyone about what happened with david, not only because he finds it difficult to talk about, but because he thinks it will make him appear as weak, and he thinks this will make people feel sorry for him, which is the last thing he wants
stellan has a rocky relationship with his father. they rarely agree on anything and any time they see each other, they just fight. his father can be a real hard ass. he only spoke swedish and english when he first moved in with him, but his father forced him to learn portuguese, which is his native tongue. stellan speaks very good portuguese, but isn’t a fan of the language
he has a very big tendency to push people away. he would rather be alone and he makes this very clear, as he can be somewhat hostile and cold upon talking to him
stellan constantly has bruised and bloody knuckles covered in rings. he doesn’t pick fights like he used to in his teenage years, but he’s always up for a throw down. he can genuinely throw a very good punch. call it the gym or whatever, but he could cause some serious damage if he really wants to
he is a closeted bi with a strong male preference. he has only just come to terms with this, and he represses it because of his upbringing. stellan honestly assumes it’s just a phase and that it will pass, and he partially blames it on the trauma he’s experienced with david, thinking that somewhat shaped his idea of men, but in reality no... you’re just kind of gay and that’s fine stellan, come on
maybe it’s because of his experience with david, or the ugly things he’s been through, but he’s very big on the idea of hurting someone before they can hurt him. he would never let anyone hurt him the way david has in the past, which is why he would rather strike first. you can’t hurt him if his walls are so high, right?
stellan has been dying his hair since before he was even a pre teen. he is a natural light blonde ( i’m talking draco malfoy blonde ), but he hates being blonde. in fact, very few people, or literally no one at all, is even aware of the fact that he’s blonde. to everyone, he is a natural brunette, people don’t know any better
despite not showing it, one day, he wants to find love. the idea scares the shit out of him, but he secretly wants it
stellan’s uncle is the one and only axel berg. he’s one of the few people stellan feels like he can count on, and maybe somewhat open up to
wanted connections ;
it feels like we only go backwards: stellan already doesn’t have the best judgment, but neither does this muse, and they’re basically just toxic for each other. it’s like when they get together, it’s just dark, yet there’s a certain attraction they can’t seem to avoid. this can be completely platonic, or it could turn romantic, i’m down for whatever!
you used to call me on my house phone: someone he was somewhat close to in high school, but they drifted apart and now it’s kind of awkward. they could have had a falling out, or they could have just stopped talking to each other. either way, they don’t call each other’s house phones anymore
take a picture, it’ll last longer: someone who always comes to the fotohut. whether it’s to see him, or simply because they take a lot of photos, is entirely up to the mun, but stellan may or may not be sick of seeing this muse
don’t let me get me: a muse who can sense that he’s been through a lot of trauma and tries to fix him, or maybe be there for him and let him know that they have a friend and that they’re not alone. stellan probably pushes this muse away a lot
stoner circle at the fotohut: someone who smokes with him and the iconic leo at the fotohut on the job. they just laugh at stupid things and roast other people’s idiotic photos together
i know you’re secret: hear me out... someone who knows he’s a natural blonde. how they know can be plotted, but stellan hates the fact that this muse knows. literally tells them repeatedly not to say anything, as if being naturally blonde is a crime
you’re my favorite muse: his muse! i feel this would have to go a bit off chemistry, but maybe someone he draws or someone who inspires him to be creative. this could turn out romantic, or could stay completely platonic as well!
laundry mat buddies stick together: someone who is always doing their laundry at the laundry mat whenever he is, up to the point where they’ve become cool with each other while they wait for their clothes to wash. maybe they smoke at the parking lot and listen to queen in stellan’s car
let’s be friends so we can makeout: friends who sometimes kiss each other or whatever, probably open to females only because i feel he has no experience with men whatsoever, despite knowing deep down that he prefers them
or we can plot!

MINI BIO
Jolene Grady was born and raised in a very rural, small town in Kentucky. To put it short, she never really had a fighting chance at life. They were the kind of couple who should have not gotten together, nor had a child for that matter. So, you can safely say that her childhood was quite chaotic. It doesn’t get much easier when one child becomes three, Jo being the oldest.
It was not out of the ordinary for them to constantly be evicted from whatever place they were living at, being forced to flee for temporary housing. Sometimes that consisted of a friend's place, homeless shelter, whatever beater car they had, or just the cold streets. Jo had many different “definitions” of home. Still, she didn’t fully resent her parents, she knew they were trying despite the odds stacked against them.
After one too many negligent incidents, eventually her parents were deemed not good enough to properly raise their children and are arrested. Full custody was placed with his oldest sister, Gina. She wasn’t exactly completely prepared to take on the responsibilities of being a “mom” to so many children, but she couldn’t turn them away. She wasn’t completely heartless. Jolene had recently turned 11 when this happened.
So, Jo and the rest of her siblings move to Point Place, Wisconsin. It’s not exactly the most ideal situation but it beats some of the living conditions she’s endured. Gina doesn’t live in exactly the most lavish neighborhood in town, but her house is small but cozy.
Aunt Gina works full time as a hairdresser and picks up a part time gig bartending at Charlie’s once she becomes their legal guardian. She’s in a long term relationship with a guy named Jack. He’s a honest, hardworking mechanic. A power couple, running on plenty of booze and weed, they are determined to try to make things better for the Grady kiddos.
Almost immediately upon moving to Point Place, she is a prime target for bullying. An introvered kid with a funny accent and messed up teeth, the other kids her age make it their mission to exclude her. Even though she is banised from the so called “popular crowd”, she finds friendship and comfort in some of the neighborhood children who are like her: misfits and just a little lot. Her circle is small, but it’s okay.
High School rolls arounds and after much convincing from Gina, Jo attempts at trying to branch out and do something new. So, she chooses cheerleading, having enjoyed going to cheer camp the summer before her eighth grade year.
She’d manage to make a few friends on the squad but she can’t seem to shake off the perception that so many people had given her. So, she just tries her best to ignore it….it’s not worth it anyways - especially if she is actually enjoying herself. Just be the bigger person.
Junior year is when she is officially kicked off from the squad. You see, Jolene had developed a crush on a senior boy on the football team. The all american jock type, trust fund brat who was charming as hell though. He had given her hints that something was possibly there, the problem? He did have a girlfriend who was also on the squad with Jo. Being such a hopeless romantic, she is blinded by how wrong this situation is. Not to mention, this was the first guy who had given her attention and she didn’t know how to handle herself.
The two of them began to secretly see one another, mosly late at night and at discrete locations. He gave her empty promises that he would end things with his current girlfriend and they would become “official”. Jolene was simply too naive that he was stringing her along, wanting other things from her. The pair end up being intimate with one another and it doesn’t take long for rumors to spread among school.
Being the “other” woman wasn’t a good look for her and as expected, she is booted off from the squad. This breaks her heart, even though she knew it was a huge mistake on her part.
She gets a spot permaently at the losers table but in the long run, it’s a blessing in disguise. These are her people, a crowd that actually won’t judge her for superficial things.
For the rest of her high school career, she begins to go through a bit of a wild child stage. When she isn’t spending time working or looking after her siblings, she’s spending late nights being up to no good. It usually includes chain smoking cigarettes, finishing off full bottles of beer, and running away from the cops. Half the time her aunt and uncle doesn’t know where she is but she always makes it home safe. Gina and jack wishes she would befriend not so reckless people, but she’s far too busy trying to keep the bills paid.
Ultimately, she fails out of her senior year due to her partying habits and always working long hours to help with the bills. Repeating her senior year is embarrassing, but she does want to graduae.
Manages to finish high school with the grit of her teeth and with a not so great GPA, but she did it. College is in the back of her mind, but she knows it’s unrealistic. She has time to go back if she wants to do it, but money is just too tight.
Currently she is just kinda vibing at the moment, waitressing at The Hub Diner and looking after her younger siblings. In her spare time, you can find her crafting, making music, and hanging out with her best buddies.
FUN FACTS & HC’S
Jo is not a hostile individual, despite her choatic childhood and her shitty time in school. She is very meek a majority of the time and is still trying to work on standing up for herself and growing a back bone
Can be considered an introverted extrovert. Is 100000% a talktive person when she is high/drunk. If she is comfortable enough in your presence, she can open up.
Coined the nickname “Easy J” due to what happened junior year, despite her having an almost non existant love life during that time
Her love language is physical touch and food. She loves cuddling with her friends and hugs! (even just in a platonic way) She also loves being that friend to make your favorite meal or snack if you had a bad day
She is a mom friend who can always be seen sporting her beloved yellow bookbag. It’s one she has had for years, covered in her favorite pins, buttons, and decorated in song lyrics and notes from her friends. It is usually fileld to the brim with a mix of random and useful items. Her friends often tease her saying that she can live out of that damn bag of her’s.
Developed a genuine knack at cooking when she was younger and sort of responsible for making meals for her younger siblings whenever Gina and Jack were both busy or working. Jo had to get creative and most of the time make due with little ingredients and stretch them out for her large family
Is very competitive with claw machine games
She is definitely the kind of friend to not ask for gas money and will wait for you while you tie your shoes
If someone were to describe how she smells, it would be a mix between the smell of cigarette smoke and cheap vanilla body mist
Learned how to play bass guitar and drums from her Uncle Jack who is in an extremely shitty cover band with his childhood buddies. She has fond memories of watching them play at Charlie’s Bar every Saturday night. Seeing Jack have the time of his life there inspired her to want to partake in music too.
Her go-to makeup looks is typically glossy lips, smudged eyeliner, and colorful eyeshadow.
She had a bowl cut phase due to gum getting caught in her hair by one of her many childhood bullies. Her parents didn’t know what to do and had to cut most of her hair off. Jo basically lived in beanies and bandanas because of this. Now, she will only trim her split ends.

First impressions usually stick around here, and others describe them as HUMBLE, DEDICATED, STONER. Stick around to get to know the real them
Full Name. William Jackson
Pronouns: He/Him
Nicknames: Will
Age: 23
Likes: Music, playing the guitar, getting high, food
Hates: spiders,
Sexuality: Hetro
Job: Cashier at the Hub
HEADCANNONS
Will has always loved anything to do with music. at 7 his parents divorced and as a way to give Will something to focus on, his dad bought him a guitar, From there little Will would rush home from school, do his homework then play his guitar.
He never really use to play guitar for others though until one day someone said he was really good (most likely a girl) and will ran with it, playing wherever and whenever he could. Thing is the girl wasn’t wrong and he actually was really good. He just couldn’t write songs to save his life
Eventually he formed a band with his friends and he can see them doing really huge things. However a boy has to make money for food and rent. He found a job at the hub, a place he use to frequent all the time and really never left. He also busks sometimes if he can,
While most people see Will as this stoner musician (and really he doesn’t blame them since he talks music alot and is high a lot) he actually is really smart. He got through school by himself and reads. Although he won’t admit that.
Wanted Connections
best friends - Will gets along with most people but just some ones he’s really tight with
band - (cedric, marnie) - his band. They play together and will get famous together
crush - will may not be girl crazy but he does like girls. a lot. He neve has had a real relationship though.

hi, it's zero again! you know the drill, give me a like and we can come up with a connection!
( im nayeon, 25, nonbinary, any ) EUNHA 'HANA' CHO has been living in Point Place for TEN YEARS. Their favorite song is SOMEBODY TO LOVE BY QUEEN. They’re currently up to A NEONATAL NURSE AT THE LOCAL HOSPITAL, but they’d rather be FIGURE SKATING. First impressions usually stick around here, and others describe them as EMPATHETIC, STUBBORN AND OPTIMISTIC. Stick around to get to know the real them.
this is hana, my nonbinary athlete turned neonatal nurse after an injury sustained in a car crash. she smokes for many reasons but one is to help her pain on the more challenging days. she's a work in progress so i'm excited to write and expand on her!
if i did the math right, she was born in 1952, the decade of heterosexual romance and gender roles. hana saw how much her parents struggled to live up to expectations and being queer herself, it makes sense that she's an activist. she's an outspoken feminist.
but anyways, hana has an older brother (wc) and grew up in a suburban bubble; nothing spectacular or horrifying ever happening to them in childhood. they knew they were different but were great at putting on a mask and mimicking those around them.
figure skating came as a second language because she grew up in upstate new york, winter was spent at the ice rinks with her best friends; she fell in love with it from a young age and began training when she was twelve. (wc) coaches from her hometown or point place. <3
when they were fifteen, their family relocated to point place to help their ailing grandparents; something they struggled with as their entire life was built in new york. (side note but hana keeps in contact with a few of them by pen palling!)
(tw for car wrecks & injuries) a few years into living here, she's in a significant crash, injuring her knee and leg. this stops her future plans of being an olympic athlete, which she was on the road towards, and switches to plan b. something she never planned for, honestly. this is when she experiments with weed and finds that it's helpful towards her mental health and pain issues. she uses it 'medicinally' and y'know sometimes, it's for pure fun too!
they still skate but not nearly as much or as extravagantly because it puts a lot of strain on their body. they started college without a major course picked out but eventually decided on being a neonatal nurse. during college, they met more queer people and felt more comfortable being themself; experimenting sexually and with their pronouns. (they're comfortable with the labels of nonbinary and bisexual!)
despite her struggles, she is an optimistic empath. very bubbly and charismatic. a bit stubborn and materialistic at times. (:

( cara gee, 40 , cis female, she/her ) NAKOMA KEEN has been living in Point Place for FIFTEEN YEARS. Their favorite song is MR SANDMAN BY THE CHORDETTES. They’re currently up to MANAGER AT THE JEWELRY STORE, but they’d rather be STUDYING TO BE A GEOLOGIST. First impressions usually stick around here, and others describe them as FAIR, STRICT, RELIABLE. Stick around to get to know the real them.
Born in Northern Minnesota in 1934, Nakoma was the first child of her parents, though by the time she was six there were four more. She took her role as oldest sibling seriously, and would often mediate her siblings and help her mother with their general care. This sense of responsibility has followed her since.
While her dad never went oversees during the war due to preexisting health issues, he did end up working in a munitions factory. This meant the whole family had to move. Though she never said a thing about it, she always has hated that they left Minnesota and still wants to move back someday.
As she got older and went through schooling, Nakoma developed an interest in geology. What started as a childhood rock collection turned into a genuine interest in the subject. She has read every book on the subject she can get her hands on, but despite having applied to various colleges around the country, she was never accepted to any of them.
By the age of twenty five, she had found herself in Point Place. It was the most at home she's felt since leaving her home as a child and she decided to stay a while. Nakoma never imagined that she'd end up spending 15 years here. Currently she works as a manager at the jewelry store inside the mall while still independently studying geology.

henrik was born to mohamed persaud and his wife bibi, three days after they landed on american soil. they were seeking a better life, a new world, a better home for their growing family. and things were tough, his father worked in a factory and his mother kept the house. when he was seven, his little brother came, and when he was eleven, his sister. the family of five squeezed themselves into a two-bedroom apartment they could barely make their rent on. instead of letting his parents give up on their dream, hen went to work. shortly after entering highschool, hen got a job working after school at one of new york’s many fashion houses. he was a nobody, of course, who’s job was to sit in the same chair for hours and hand stitch these tiny details immaculately over and over again. it was boring and mindnumbing, and his hands hurt at the end of every day, but it was extra money.
stitching turned into alterations which turned into prototype construction, and soon hen was sharing a workspace with some of the top designers in the house. when the lead designer retired, it was a shock to everyone that hen was chosen as his replacement. suddenly thrust into the spotlight, hen, now creating under the pseudonym of henrik locke, worked tirelessly day and night to do a good job while trying to make sure his extremely traditional parents remained blissfully unaware of the high-flying life he was now living. eventually the secret got out, and while they were proud of his accomplishments, they doubled down on the pressure for him to find a wife and have babies. which, admittedly, had always been a dream of his, but not something his lifestyle currently allowed.
six months ago, hen opened the door of his penthouse apartment and found himself face-to-face with a social worker and a seven year old daughter he didn’t know he had. she was the child of his with an ex girlfriend, a relationship that had failed due to his commitment issues parents’ pressures, who had kept his daughter’s existence from him as she was dying. so now, with a seven year old and one of the most famous names in the design world, hen needed to become invisible and fast. so he packed everything up and moved him and his kid to point place, wisconsin. because hopefully, nobody in point place, wisconsin would have any idea who he was.

( tati gabrielle, 26, cis female, she/her ) DAWN FORD has been living in Point Place for TWELVE YEARS. Their favorite song is MR BLUE SKY BY ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA. They’re currently up to SERVING AT THE HUB, but they’d rather be PLAYING THE PIANO/KEYBOARD. First impressions usually stick around here, and others describe them as BOLD, WARM, MISCHIEVOUS . Stick around to get to know the real them.
Born in NYC, Dawn was a bit of a trouble maker from the start. The only child, she didn't have any like aged companions to turn her energy and pranks towards so it was he mother who took the brunt of it. Until she discovered the one thing that would get Dawn to sit still. Music.
She immediately was signed up to be tutored in piano for which she showed both great talent and great focus with. Her tutor was delighted and wished to show her off in the classical circles. But her father's company expanded and sent him to oversee the opening of a new branch in Florida.
Dawn took the move well, she was only eight and made friends easily with her cheerful exuberance and steadfast nature, though the crowds she gathered sent her mother prematurely grey as they too had a liking for mischief.
At fourteen, her father once once again relocated, this time to Wisconsin. This was a harder move for her as she was older now, with many people she didn't want to leave behind, and while she hadn't gone on to any fame like her tutor of old had so wanted, she had made a home for herself amongst other music aficionados.
That was twelve years ago, and while her parents have moved yet again, she decided to stay in Point Place. Another move right now wasn't to her liking. Nor to be fair, her finances. Really she'd just like to make a career out of her talent, but the topic lead to a giant argument with her parents last they were here, as they want her to be a classical musician, but she'd prefer to turn her abilities to the keyboard and join a band.

( ewan mitchell, 25, gender questioning, he/him ) HELLER SMITH has been living in Point Place for A MONTH. Their favorite song is SUPERSTITION BY STEVIE WONDER. They’re currently up to SOUND BOARD OPERATOR AT WFPP, but they’d rather be A PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR. First impressions usually stick around here, and others describe them as EXUBERANT, CURIOUS, RECKLESS. Stick around to get to know the real them.
tws: distant parent/child abandonment, mentions of bullying, parental death.
Heller was born out of wedlock to Anna Smith, the daughter of a shop-keep, and Gregory Winslow, the son of a nobleman in 1952 England. His father all but ignored his existence for the first six years of his life, leaving Anna do deal with the repercussions of being an unwed mother. He himself had to put up with much mockery from his peers, who would taunt him for his parentage. But young Heller never let it get to him and remained an upbeat happy lad.
When he did turn six, the father he'd seldom even heard mentioned appeared to claim Heller as his wife had yet to give him the heir he desperately wanted, so he resorted to his bastard son. He was whisked away from his mother and into the large home of his paternal lineage where he was given tutors and instructors to turn him from an 'uncultured nobody' into an heir any noble line would be proud of.
He stayed with his fathers family, only seeing his mum from time to time, up until the age of thirteen when his step-mother gave birth to twins, both sons. While Heller was initially excited to be an older brother, it did not take long to realize his father no longer had need of him. He feared being turned out on the street and left by the man he'd grown to know as his father. He'd even become close to his step-mother, who was always kind to him as she never blamed him for his father's indiscretion.
Per his stepmothers insistence, Gregory kept Heller in the house to finish his tutelage and give him a step up in life, though he had been stripped of his status as heir. This worked for him as he'd always dreamed of being and Investigator and had lived upon the fictional tales of Sherlock Holmes, Tommy and Tuppence, and Hercule Poirot as well as the true adventures of America's Pinkerton detectives.
At eighteen he was finally loosed on his own and he moved back to his mother's hometown. It was now 1970 and a lot had changed. He started working to help his mum pay for things as his father had cut of financial help by this point. Bouncing from job to job, over-educated by most's standards in the area, he picked up a skill for sound boards and started working for many different companies utilizing this skill.
In 1975, at 23, his mother passed away from an un-diagnosed illness and he decided to move across the pond, first living in Boston, then making his way across many states over the years until finally ending up in Point Place a month ago. He's not sure he'll stay here forever, but he likes it enough here where he'll likely stay awhile. Besides, He'd still love to open the PI agency and maybe here he'll find someone to open it with. Until then, he works at WFPP.

( jesse williams, 41, cismale, he/him ) DARCY SAWYER has been living in Point Place for FOUR YEARS. Their favorite song is PAINT IT BLACK BY THE ROLLING STONES. They’re currently up to MANAGER AT CHARLIE’S BAR, but they’d rather be AN INTERIOR DESIGNER. First impressions usually stick around here, and others describe them as INDEPENDENT, UNCOMPROMISING, ALOOF . Stick around to get to know the real them. ( jack )

darcy was four when he entered the foster care system and eight when he was adopted by a loving family. his father was a teacher and his mother ran a daycare, although they’d never been blessed with children of their own. not until darcy, at least. he fit right in immediately, and they were good to him. they loved him and cared for him and really truly wanted the best for him. but their love was conditional and him falling in love with a man was too much for them. they kicked him out at sixteen, refusing to pay for his college or even help him find housing. with nowhere else to go and the korean war in full swing, he lied about his age to enlist. surely they had to know he was just a kids, the way his hands shook in training and how he cried himself to sleep every night. but suddenly, he wasn’t alone. he wasn’t the only one scared, with nothing left in the world but the men in the cots next to him. they became his new family, and he became theirs.
much to darcy’s luck, he fell in love with one of his squad mates. it was hard not to, they spent all their time together. and as long nobody found out, they could be together. the threat of what would happen if they were discovered hung over their heads like a guillotine, but it was worth it, as long as they had each other. at least, that’s what he thought. the war ended and they had made it out alive, so clearly that was a sign. they stayed in the army together, on the same team, stealing moments away to be with each other. however when darcy got shot and the wound on his leg developed a severe infection, his love was nowhere to be found. when the infection was spreading, and the leg had to be removed, he would beg god, any god, even gods he didn’t believe in. but still, his love didn’t come, and darcy was left wondering if he was even still alive. once the leg was gone, darcy was sent home, but he wrote letters every day, and every day he waited for a response. but none came, not from the one person he’d wanted to hear from.
suddenly on his own for the first time in 20 years, with nowhere to go and no one to report to, he decided to head back to miami, check on his family, but they had replaced him. they were happy, with their new children, and it seemed as if they had never given him another care after he left. he jumped around from there, trying to figure out how to live his life with one and a half legs. while he had once dreamed of being a teacher, like his father, he now had to find a new dream. so when his best friend from the army returned stateside and mentioned moving to wisconsin, he didn’t really have a reason to stay. so he followed axel here and got a job at a bar and is studying design in the hopes of one day doing interior design for restaurants and clubs.
