To me, 67-69 is miserably cold for indoors. In the winter, I keep the house at 65 F, and I'm like permanently under a heated blanket. I've stayed at friends' houses that keep it at 68-72 F in the summer, and I'm shivering under a blanket the entire time, lol.

In the summer, in the state I live in, it can get up to 100+ F outside. It's just not economical or practical to keep the AC super low. Before, to save money, I've kept the AC on 80 F during the summer, but this year I've settled on 76-77 F during the day and 74-75 F at night. That's fairly cool, to me, especially with it being dramatically lower than the outdoor temps.

Lilia Facts Part 74: Lilia and Silver (pt3)

Lilia says that infant-Silver would drink milk from a mug, which Malleus corroborates, saying, “I recall him feeding you milk from a mug even in your youngest days.”

When Silver comments on Lilia being too rough with a baby bat that he is bathing Malleus says, “This reminds me of when Lilia used to give Silver baths” and Sebek adds, “Silver... I'm amazed you came out so hale and hearty.” (Silver: “Yes, I'm deeply grateful I'm here.”)

When Lilia decides that the injured bat should be left in a tree it has become stuck in because, if it falls and injured itself further it can just heal up again, Sebek says, “Silver…For the first time in my life, I think I respect you.”

One of the earliest stories we have from Silver’s childhood is from when he was still very small: Lilia says that he tumbled out of his stroller and crawled away on his own.

Lilia had been napping at the time, but upon realizing Silver was gone he relaxed and waited, assuming that the infant would come back on his own.

Sebek’s family arrived and scolded Lilia, saying, “Regular babies don’t just come back on their own!”, with Sebek’s parents being the ones who ultimately found Silver and brought him back.

Lilia says he appreciates how sternly they asked if he was fit to raise a child and how concerned they were about Silver.

From that day they babysat when Lilia had to step out: “He was a frequent guest at their house until he was old enough to stay at home alone.”

In defense of his parenting style Lilia explains that he was earnest about raising a child in his own way: There's never a guarantee in life that someone will be there to support you...as long as you're alive, there will be moments— many moments, in fact —when you must face adversity entirely on your own. A parent must ensure their child can handle such harshness while the little one is still under their protection.”

We get what is maybe the earliest example of Silver being left at home at his own during Spectral Soiree, where he tells a story about Lilia going on a trip and leaving him behind to take care of the cabin by himself when he was ten years old.

It seems that the cabin they lived in together was extremely isolated, with Silver saying that, aside from Malleus and Sebek, his only companions were forest creatures, and he was homeschooled.

SWK: You know how Nezha's been deprived of his medication?

RS: Yes?

SWK: Well, he recently started receiving his prescribed amount! It's been five days since then and he's been wanting to train his body so that July is a bit easier for him.

RS: Makes sense. Getting slammed back into military training directly after being deprived of potentially life-saving medication and weeks of doing less-than-average amounts of exercise is probably not a good thing.

SWK: He wanted to push me in this exercise wheelchair thingy, but he forgot we lost it in the fire, so I'm sitting on the porch watching him instead.

RS: That's probably better for him too, don't want to go too far too fast. I've seen MK do it on multiple occasions and yeah, I don't recommend it.

SWK: Oi. I kept telling him not to do that.

RS: Well, you know him. He gets excited about training and-

SWK: And goes overboard in a heartbeat.

RS: Yeah, pretty much.

RS: Oh! By the way, I have finished Nezha's active wheelchair, but not his motorized one. I've made a pair of crutches and a cane as well as a walker, the rollator thing you used to like, right?

SWK: Yeah, most people call it a walker, but Nezha always called it a rollator so I did too. Thank you for making those, Little Peony.

RS: You are quite welcome!

Nezha: FIVE KILOMETERS!!!!! I DID IT!!!!

SWK: *clapping for him* Yay, Nezhie!

RS: Nezha's got a bit of muscle to him now, but given your past partners, that's probably not a requirement for you to find them physically attractive, is it?

SWK: Are you trying to figure out my type?

RS: *smiles* Maybe.

SWK: *accepts his fate and sighs* For me, it's usually more about personality and compatibility than physical form. You remember that me and Pom-pom were both genderfluid shapeshifters, right?

RS: Of course! You two shapeshifted so often that I once mistook a random bird for you. Actually, I did that multiple times.

SWK: Yeah, so did my other kids. Me and Pom-pom would get mixed up too. And sometimes we changed into rocks or plants so you kids would leave us alone for a bit.

Hi there! How are we doing on this fine sunday? I spent the day at the beach and of course, that gave me some ideas so ahem ahem ✨beach day with carmy bear✨

First let’s talk about the most obvious thing ever but…this man looks HAWT okay?!!? He already does on a daily basis, doing the most regular things ever but at the beach????? 74 dead, 192 injured.

anyway yeah he looks really good but also:

You manage to whisk him away for a few days, just the two of you to relax and you rent a small house by the beach. Your goal is basically to get him to slow down a bit, catch up on some sleep and have fun, you know?That in itself is tough because he!!cannot!!relax!!!!!!!!! But he’s also very very in love so he agrees for a weekend away.

He carries all the bags because he was raised a gentleman and there’s no way you lift one pretty finger of yours k?

You insist on putting sunscreen on his back and face and okay maybe it’s just an excuse to give him a nice massage and maybe he knows that but plays along too

But he’s just as protective, always making sure you’re hydrated and you’re wearing your hat if you’re seating in the sun.

i might be almost 21 but playing in the waves!!!!!! and making sand castles!!!!! at first he might think it’s a little silly but not in a mean way, just the kind of thing he doesn’t think of to have fun because he just doesn’t have fun yk? but he helps you and realizes it is actually fun. it definitely turns into a competition btw and you end up both winning and eating ice cream as a reward.

Playing cards too!! i feel like he knows one or two great cars games that he’d teach you, something he got from Mickey or Cousin maybe?

also napping on the beach. he lays his head on your belly while you read and you’re playing with his hair and the weather is nice and it’s actually pretty good to feel the sun on his skin and—when you notice he’s sleeping, you don’t move, just let him take whatever he needs.

you 100% make sure to take a billion pictures of him, of the two of you (you send one of him sleeping to nat <3) and he tries to take aesthetic pictures of you, he snaps a few more just to keep for himself.

a lot of talking too!!! he’s been working a lot, you too, life got in the way so you take the time to catch up—you tell him about the new show you want to start with him, he tells you about a flea market he’d like to check out. It feels nice to catch up and somehow it reassures him? Like his anxiety gets too much and he’s scared you might be unhappy but then you talk and you tell him you love him and you want to do things with him and his chest feels less heavy.

who says day at the beach, says watching the sunset together. of course it’s beautiful but carmy keeps looking at you and the way the light seems to hit your features so perfectly well because he’s a sap.

You get a little cold and he’s instantly handing you his sweater. And I just know his heart melts when you nuzzle closer to him <3

I love to think he’d stay up at night to listen to the ocean. He can’t sleep because his mind is too loud so he goes on the little patio and listens to the sounds of the waves on the shore. Maybe you join him, rest your head on his shoulder and enjoy the moment with him. he hasn’t felt this happy in a long time.

hey so something you don't know about me is that i love the beach more than literally any other place on earth!!!!! i went to the OBX a lot as a kid and it shaped me into the woman i am today!!!!! i love the beach!!!!!!!!!!!! i even had a finnpoe beach au that was like. god. it was at minimum 10k words and it wasn't even complete yet. i would just work on it when at the beach house my father took me to cause there was no wifi there- but enough ab me!!!!!

i agree that baby boy canNOT relax, poor thing. but you could talk him into it saying he can try all kinds of new restaurants and get some ideas for a seafood course for the bear menu <33 and ughhh i just. staying in a cutie little beach house with him!!! i used to go to the beach every year and when i got old enough to really appreciate the whole day, my fav thing became evening walks and i know those would sooth his soul sooo much

"there’s no way you lift one pretty finger of yours k?" i will sob??? i will actually cry and scream and roll around on the floor???? god i just. carmen carrying your bags upstairs to the house while you take stock of all the general beach things available in the shed underneath. yall know how beach houses are on stilts? yeah like that. and placing your shampoo and body wash and things in the outdoor shower so it can be used first thing, because once everything is unloaded all you wanna do is walk down to the ocean and once you're there, well, who isn't gonna jump in!

massaging the sunscreen into his back, the way he would sigh a little, and you can press soft kisses to his cheek as you do so. ugh i looveeeee him!!!! he would be so so protective, making sure there's plenty of snacks, and if you're hungry he'll walk the beach with you until you find a little sandwich shop or taco place for whatever you wanna eat. he's confused at first why you're making a sand castle, preferring to sit and read his book, but suddenly he's finished with a chapter and spending time with his girl seems so much more fun, so before he knows it he's packing wet sand into the mould sitting across from you, sandy shins and messy hair, but he's all smiley too

the poor thing would get so exhausted from playing in the waves, probably bc he's not used to it. swimming in the ocean really takes it out of you!! so when you're laid out under the umbrella reading he grumbles like "babe, lemme... c'mere," and tugs you just a little closer to rest his head on your tummy :((( playing with his curls while they dry from the salt water, forming them into perfect little spirals, putting a little braid here and there

just talking to each other and catching up in such a relaxed setting is so sweet im gonna sob. maybe y'all snagged a beachfront place so you can watch the sun set over the water ((i have never seen this... #eastcoast)) while you're sitting on the rlly comfy deck chairs, he's got a beer and you've got a little cocktail he made you, and you're playing cards and chatting about what's been going on lately. just sitting out there together listening to the waves, wrapped up in his sweater from his culinary school i- i genuinely cannot. i love him and i love the beach. I LOVE HIM AND I LOVE THE BEACH!!!!!!!

Oh your silly blonde, it was so hard for him to take a compliment. He never felt like he was enough! You were going to make a statement about it but that was before Gojo came flying across your face.

"Woah-" You were shocked at first but then you were even more startled to see he crashed into a tree and hit the ground hard. A bit of blood oozed from his lip. "-Satoru!" You were dashing within a mist of shadows, getting by his side swiftly. As you knelt beside him your healing light was upon his chest.

What fucking monster could have done this!

"That a good enough punch for you?" Sukuna questioned with a mocking tone.

Ah-

"That was bullshit!" Gojo hissed while getting up, glaring at your other alpha.

The tatted man flicked his fingers, "Then come, let me show you again."

"What...Why are you guys fighting each other?"

Toji stepped into the area with his sword upon his shoulders, "They are just training baby it's okay."

"Ooo...my rubies are on Sukuna." Getou also joined the group, riding upon his Kirin spirit.

"Hey!" Gojo called while looking upon Getou with betrayal in his tone.

"Sorry Gojo~ But it's clear Sukuna and Nanami have their moves already. So that must mean they are stronger. It's just simple maths really."

"I got my special move." Toji grinned, "Y'all just missed it."

Your expression lit up, "That's perfect!" Then you switched gears, "I'm sure all of you are close too though so-"

"Close." Sukuna enunciated, "But I did mine a while back so that still means you are behind pup."

Gojo let out a little growl, "Just because I haven't done mine yet doesn't mean you are better than the dirt I walk on!"

Now it seemed to be getting out of hand, Gojo seemed to be truly irritated.

"Satoru..." Nanami had shifted in his place trying to stand in front of Sukuna who was doing nothing but making the situation WORSE- with his shit-eating grin.

"Let him come at me. Lessons are best taught the hard way." Sukuna called forth his trident as he began to twirl it around effortlessly, the tip catching fire and creating a circle of red flames.

"Someone ought to shut you up!"

"Someone's cranky. Do you need a nap pup?" Sukuna stuck his tongue out and before you knew it Gojo dashed forward with a strong gust of wind blowing everything away.

Hi again.😊 I've run into something... odd? when trying to figure out how to fit all twelve years of Devil's Minion into the show timeline. I'd really like your input.

So I'm trying to make sense of Daniel's "kids-and-marriage" timeline. Alice being his first wife and the car seat thing muddies it up for me.

According to gaypiratedivorce's Chronological timeline on Ao3, (found it through your bookmarks, so thank you❤), car seats became mandatory in America in 1986. The excerpt that Louis reads aloud from Daniel's memoir states: "I am in my Buick, staring in the rearview mirror at my daughter in the car seat, (...). My editor reminds me, it's seven years before car seats are mandatory. My ex-wife reminds me, I never owned a Buick." This means his first daughter was born before 1979. Based on Daniel's comment in 01x06, he was 20 years old in 1973, so he must have been a father by the age of 26.

We don't know whether the ex-wife referenced here is Alice or his unnamed second wife, but we do know that one of them must have been around already to remember what cars he owned (and didn't) at this time.

We also aren't given any indication if he was in any relationship with the mother of his eldest child at this time, or ever.

In 02x02 we learn that Alice told Daniel she was pregnant in 1985. From my understanding this was immediately after she had turned down his marriage proposal, so he and Alice are not married at this point. We are told that Alice was his first wife, so the second marriage happens sometime after this.

This makes the minimum age difference between Daniel's two daughters 6 years. His daughters don't appear to have the same mother, since when talking about Alice telling him she was pregnant in 1985, there was no indication that this would be their second child.

By June 2022, when the second interview takes place, he's twice divorced, with two daughters. His oldest daughter would have to be at least 43 years old when he goes to Dubai, and his youngest would be 37-38.

From 1979 to 1985 the only information we have about Daniel is: 1) he was working, (02x05: "I was never so messed up I couldn't hold down a job"); 2) he is not married; 3) timing of irl. law that might not be the one used in the show indicates that he already has a child, but we know nothing about them or their upbringing. Seems unlikely that he was a single father, but we know nothing about the mother.

Thoughts?

Ok, so I have thoughts on this.

Like, first off, I think Armand was full of shit when he said Louis asked him to make him forget what happened in San Francisco. He said Louis asked three days later, after getting out of the shower. And there is no way he was healed up enough to take a shower in three days, even if he was slurping up Armand's blood often. he was only a vampire for 62 years. less than a century. the sun would burn the shit out of him. I think Louis had to do that thing vampires do in the book, and take a power nap for a few years.

Cue Armand being all alone. And he hates that. Plus, he still has to find out what makes Daniel fascinating. He literally said to Daniel in 2x05 'teach me how to be fascinating'. like that may not be the exact wording, but you know what i mean. so he starts to stalk daniel.

daniel, of course, does not remember him bc Armand literally mind-wiped him. all Daniel has is vague memories about being bitten. so maybe Armand goes on his whole 'i won't kill you as long as i find you interesting' bit. or maybe he says something else entirely different or nothing at all. until eventually they start to talk, and debate, and fight, and fall in love.

i think the chase timeline from the books was shortened, and Daniel and Armand were probably in a relationship by like, somewhere in the back half of 74 or the first half of 75. And I think it probably went from zero to sixty pretty fast.

based on what we know so far, we have no info on Daniel publishing anything from 1974-1978. So I think Daniel and Armand could have had a relationship those four years.

then something happens, and they break-up for awhile. (daniel had this thing about leaving then coming back in the books) so maybe during that time he meets Alice. Maybe even gets genuine feelings for her. And then he gets her pregnant sometime in 78, bc the kid is born by 79.

Daniel remembers a car seat. And while car seats weren't required, General Motors did make one in 1969. Here is a picture of what one looked like in 1977:

And most people didn't really start using them to around the late 70s, when different states started making laws. So Daniel could have a car seat in his car in 79. Likely Alice's idea, not his, since he is literally buying drugs from some guy with his daughter in the car with him. Not dad of the year material.

Here's what I think, at some point Daniel's relationships with Alice and Armand overlapped. He remembers being in a Buick with his daughter in the back seat bc he was with Armand in a Buick at some point. Probably not with his daughter, but it could be possible. (There could be some scenario where he's taking care of the baby alone and Armand shows up and they go on a wacky adventure together. But that scenario probably only exists in my imagination.)

I don't believe Louis was aware of their relationship, bc he showed no real signs of remembering something like that. That means that Armand either hid it from him, or made him forget it. Maybe Louis was asleep through the whole thing, and Armand never told him about it.

Or maybe Louis did wake up. And his waking up put pressure on Armand and Daniel's relationship. Bc Armand would have to divide his time between them. Daniel isn't stupid, he probably figures out there's someone else. And maybe he demands that Armand make a choice. And Armand chooses Louis. But he wants to choose Daniel, only Daniel hasn't given him reason to trust him. Like, Daniel having a kid with someone else may have been enough to end the relationship.

I think the relationship with Alice comes after they break-up some time in 78. In the books, when Daniel becomes a vampire, he's 32 and has left Armand for six months. (It's also 1985 there, but roll with it) The longest he ever had. Some maybe he leaves Armand for an extended amount of time. It doesn't have to be six months, but it's probably at least two or three. And during that time he could have met Alice, been having his rebound fling with her. Then she gets knocked up. So you know, he sticks around for the kid. Kinda sorta. Bc he's still seeing Armand. I think that he would have to know about Louis, to bother starting a relationship with someone else. Bc the book says that him leaving is a thing that happens more than once. So maybe the first time he leaves is bc he finds out about Louis, and he meets Alice and knocks her up. Who knows? I think it's been left vague on purpose so they can tweak things as they need to. Or maybe he just takes up with Alice after leaving Armand 'for good'

I'm not entirely clear on the timeline. But I do believe something happened between Armand and Daniel sometime 1974-1978/79. At that point they either break up and Armand erases his memories.

Or their relationship shifts into an affair on both their ends. Like that line about them being secret lovers from the book is taken literally. Daniel has Alice and Armand has Louis. But they can't quit each other, and keep seeing each other secretly. Daniel proposes to Alice in 85 and she says no. Probably bc Daniel was a shitty boyfriend. As one tends to be when they are in love with someone else.

But he likely does propose bc she's pregnant. After he's 'gotten his shit together' I can imagine his not marrying Alice after getting her pregnant the first time is something that could have caused resentment from Alice. Maybe she implied she wanted Daniel to propose before this. Maybe she didn't trust him bc she suspected he was cheating. But I do think that Daniel didn't propose until after he lost his memories of Armand.

So like, somewhere between 78-85 Daniel and Armand break up for the final time. But exactly when I'm not sure.

But I am 100% sure that Armand is going to fuck that old man. They are going to get together. And I will feel that comes from seeing something I've shipped over two decades kiss on screen. Or like, bite each other.
