We understand merch can be expensive and that’s completely understandable, so if you have a moment take time to read through the AFSP website and get informed, get involved, donate if you can & help save a life.

During the "Talk Away The Dark" roundtable organized by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), Brett Wean, the Director of Writing and Entertainment Outreach, led a discussion with filmmaker #ZackSnyder, actor #CharlieHunnam, and dedicated #AFSP volunteers Robert Stohr and Adia Fadaei.
Each participant shared their personal connections to mental health and suicide prevention.
Snyder spoke about his involvement following his daughter's suicide, Hunnam discussed his friends' struggles and his own mental health journey, and Fadaei highlighted her work on crisis lines and her personal experiences. The conversation touched on the importance of accepting and addressing discomfort, the therapeutic power of creative activities, and the crucial role of community and connection in maintaining mental health. They emphasized that engaging with community organizations like American Foundation for Suicide Prevention can provide vital support and reduce isolation, which is often exacerbated in today's world.

I am joining hundreds of thousands of people across the country who are walking in the Out of the Darkness Community Walks to prevent suicide and support AFSP's mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.
Hey guys!!!! Badina here .... sooooo.....I raised our fundraising goal to $250. OK, OK, I bet yall are like, " Whaaaat! Why would you do that!? We just reach our goal!!!!" Well... its simply because I believe we can raise a bit more! I mean, look how well yall did at $150. And this is something I truly, and deeply support and advocate for . Just simply sharing this, will help us spread the awareness that you are not alone! And we can all walk" Out of the Darkness" and continue to "Break the Mold". Please share your support. And also, check out all of free resources and information that is included in the link. American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
In loving memory of Angela Whitman ❤️

every time a show or movie gets cancelled, fandoms think they can be the next #ReleasetheSnyderCut movement but what they missed entirely while attempting to clown on that campaign is a) it’s a lot of work and time and dedication and most fandoms aren’t willing to actually put in the effort it takes and b) they missed that this was the whole POINT of the movement in the first place
Movie studios & execs shouldn’t be able to just shelve a movie for a tax write-off, or bury it, or fire the creative teams when it’s nearly completed to entirely reshoot the film because they’re too shallow and profit-driven to see the artistic merit in what they originally invested in
the whole point of the #RTSC movement was artistic integrity

hey i want to watch the bear but i heard there's a scene where they made a diss to zack snyder. how bad is it? or is it tolerable?
hi there! yup, there's this scene in the first episode where one character mocks snyder fans and puts them in the same sentence as 4chan incels 💀 it defo left a bad taste in my mouth, however it was just one mention and that's it, so i don't think it should stop you from watching the show. btw i heard there's another snyder cut mention in the new barbie movie and i'm low-key terrified lmao

I do accounting, tax prep, bookkeeping, event planning, and budgeting!
If you ever wanted bookkeeping done by someone dressed as Sephiroth, or you worried your business was too "out there" for a normal accountant (especially if you're a sex worker, minority, or disabled) I'm your man. I have over half a decade of experience, I am AFSP and QBO certified, and I would love to schedule a consultation with you!

💌Dear Younger Me:
Tumblr media
Dear Younger Me, There are so many things that I could tell you, but here are the most important things that you need to know. You will be going through so much that you won’t be able to handle it on your own. Just know you're not alone. I know it feels like you are alone, but there are so many resources out there that can help you. You have people who love and care about you. There are a ton of community resources too, like the Suicide Prevention Hotline, the Crisis Textline, NAMI, AFSP, and many more. Please use them and learn more about how you can help yourself.
You will go through so much heartbreak; just know that it will be okay. I know it feels like your hearts have been ripped out and your world is ending. I can’t say it gets easier after each heartbreak, because it doesn’t. Just know that you will get through it.
There will be times when you want to hurt yourself, and you will. Please reach out; there is help available, even if you can’t see it.
You will feel completely worthless, useless, and like you are never good enough, almost daily. Just know that it’s far from the truth.
There will be times when you feel like it will never get better. You will feel this consistently. But it’s hard to see the destination when you’re miles away from it. It’s hard to see things getting better when it’s such a hard time now, and that’s okay. Feel your feelings and take the time to work with them. The biggest thing that I want to tell you is that you are good enough and that your words matter. When you tell someone “no,” it matters. There might be times when you aren’t shown that, and that doesn’t prove that you and your words are worthless. That shows you the other person’s personality.
I know you just need someone to hold you, listen to you, and support you. If I could travel back in time, I’d be there for you. But just know that, in the future, you will have amazing friends and support from your family. You have amazing connections to your community and a job that you are happy with. You will have an amazing boyfriend who loves you more than anything in this world and supports you every second he can. I know this is hard to believe, but this is true.
Life isn’t easy for us, even when we grow up but we’ll get through it. We always do because we are so strong.
Love always, Your future Self
👋🏽Hello Friends!👋🏽
I would recommend writing a letter to your younger self; it can be healing and a great form of self-love. Within the last few months, I've been really into writing letters to someone I'm not as in contact with as I would like. I created this letter to myself as a part of learning to love myself and let go of my past. If you try it, let me know how it goes for you.
Until next time, friends!💝

Once you get this, you have to say five things you like about yourself, publicly. Then you have to send this to ten of your favourite followers (if you want lol) 🩶
Ooof this is tough, and probably why it took me so long to respond lol
1. I like that I don't lose my temper easily, especially at work. There are many times where people are rude or ask stupid questions and I don't lose my temper, I remain polite and professional, and then I bitch about it to my coworkers lol
2. I like how creative I get to be in my life. Obviously my newest obsession is pottery, but at work I get to be creative, when I write I get to be creative. I love being creative and that I allow myself avenues for being creative!
3. I like that this year I've been pushing myself to do more things that I wouldn't be comfortable doing in past years. I tried out skiing (which wasn't for me at ALL, I may or may not have cried while learning lol), I'm the secretary for the NM board for AFSP, and I'm going to be championing mental health in our construction community, and like I said in the previous point, I'm learning pottery!
4. I like how friendly I am. While I'm still a very shy person that doesn't always initiate conversation, I can very easily maintain small talk or ask questions to people once they start talking to me. A friend of mine once said he found that admirable about me and I've treasured that compliment so many years later 😊
5. I like that I work in a field where people get to experience design decisions I made. Sometimes they're small things like championing a color of a railing, but others are bigger like laying out an entire office. My profession gets to shape the way we interact with the built environment and I feel lucky working for a firm that cares about that stuff instead of being in a corporate architecture firm.
