By the time you are reading this, it may be the first day of April, April Fools. Now, I’m not really one for the pranks and all, but I do want to make this day rather interesting — because this is the day, one year ago, we had become friends. Tumblr had released the boop-o-meter feature for everyone to “boop” one another by clicking the “boop” button on each blog that participated; that’s how I had found you.

I had clicked your account by genuine accident while trying to get all three badges for participating in the event. I hadn’t logged in until 20:00 PM, CDT. That meant I only had four consecutive hours before it would end. And that’s how we clicked. In fun chivalry, we attacked each other in mass numbers of notions in pop ups say we had been booped by the other. I had stayed up all night fighting who I thought was a total stranger just to gain some useless decoration. I sure don’t regret it.

After that, we had started chatting and scrolling through our blogs in discussions about William Afton. While my view of him is certainly skewed by illustrations by my own brain to create a version of him that would then be a substitute to a father; one that I wished I had back then. You alone had helped me see a close-enough interpretation that I could actually fall in love with AND helped me create an interpretation that I could agree with that was actually the character and not an OC. (Apart from @ peariandpine ’s “His Empire of Dirt” and “The Depravity of What You Did.” Very immaculate and good reads!)

Over the past 365 days, we had connected with each other in the way I never imagined would occur. You’ve always been so true and honest and I really do appreciate you not just as someone I follow for their work, but as a friend. To me, being a friend is such a privilege that I’ve been given that I’m honestly quite afraid to screw things up. While I do have my flaws, I’m just grateful that you’ve been able to see past the bad and ugly sides that are, well, me. :]

I guess what I’m trying to say is; thank you. Thank you forward letting me into your space and providing your graces. Cheers to a memorable year and future together as mutuals.
