COVEN thoughts and bingo card results!!!!

So. I finished coven. Took me maybe 30 minutesish maybe (I have no idea why I thought it'd be longer). It's been like a month since it formally came out so I fear a keep reading bar is unnecessary

quick justifications (that make this post unreasonably long):

Obligatory Sophie cameo + Obligatory Tedros&Agatha cameo: I know others didn't count the photo as a cameo but I personally do. also was that Beatrix in the photo. was there really nobody else he could've put in

Some sort of political commentary: in my notes i originally said "environmentalism isn't a political issue but I'll mark it off anyway" but I also think that there was some anti-colonialism in there (based !!) and so it definitely warranted being crossed off

Drag race reference: Look. This one is Not Apparent. But you have to trust me. In the shot of the audience after the actor dies the girl in yellow at the front is one HUNDRED percent Eureka or MIB. the woman in green in the back looks a Lot like Kori King's masc4masc singer look (granted I have no idea if the timeframes match up cause that was on the most recent season). The girl with the three pink puffs in her hair is also familiar but I can't find a queen that it's a direct match of. Soman if you can hear me

TCY is referenced: this one is also Not Apparent but the fact that they're still the sheriffs like they said they would be. It's there. If you squint

Rats are back and unexplained: this one was also dubious because anadil's wearing a necklace made of rat skulls that could presumably be her old ones but keyword here is unexplained and it was not in fact explained

Events of R+F acknowledged: NOW. bear with me. No they were fucking not. in fact I'd finished crossing everything off and looked at this square cause it was the last one left for the bingo. But. If you recall the mermaid king is mentioned in one of the first scenes. Which is something established in R+F. THEREFORE I get to have this space

Tennis reference: it's got a question mark cause I found a match to a tennis player for a character, but it is Dubious and I haven't convinced myself to cross it off yet

Hestadil real: my notes explain why it's crossed off so many times (ok i was gonna add the notes to the post but they're wrong and incoherent so: everytime hester and anadil got gay I crossed it off again) THOUGH he didn't actually confirm anything. which like. brother you're ending the series. c'mon man
