I moved a lot throughout my life so I think I'm somewhat familiar with the placements lmao. I'll just be listing some of them as examples.

Usually when concerning moving or traveling whether abroad or at a different state (whether through airplane or not), you'll typically be looking at the 9th and 12th house.

Personally however, I found that it's backed up even more if you have aquarius or aries rising that month; you're facing something new.

That was my most recent "big move". My 4th house ruler (venus) was in the 9th house as well.

Commissions? At the moment I only take commissions for Discord Nitro as it’s my only method of compensation. I usually do this for friends or people within certain discord servers, so for public comms, the answer is effectively no. The same can be said for art trades. Okay part 2 of Cynthia and Ariana’s commentary notes I’m making starting immediately after The Wizard and I until the incident in Dr. Dillamond’s classroom. This one also features some random fun facts about me and some random facts I know that weren’t mentioned in the commentary.

1. Ari being so self conscious of her writing in the letter to ‘Momsie and Popsicle’ 😂

2. I love how Ariana keeps referring to Elphaba as Elphie when talking about the character, she really is Glinda but also…. I’ve done that too when talking about these characters to people. I call Elphaba ‘Elphie’ more often than her full name and I regularly switch between “Galinda” and “Glinda” and while I try to keep it depending on whether they’re at Shiz being Galinda and from the train to the Emerald City onward to parts I haven’t seen yet because I haven’t seen the full story of Act II or anything that could potentially occur post canon in fanfics I read and such being Glinda, I regularly still manage to use them interchangeably

3. “Bowen and Bronwyn ATE this choreography!” (During What is This Feeling?) I know Bowen Yang specifically was very self conscious about dancing in this movie so to hear them praise them about it makes me so happy

4. Cynthia mentioning that “This was my birthday! Well, my first birthday that occurred while we were filming….” For the part when Elphaba comes out from behind Galinda’s stuff with the pink parasol. Just a little fun fact but ALSO it reminds you JUST HOW LONG they worked on these 2 movies to think that at the very least Cynthia had TWO birthdays during filming. Knowing that both of them auditioned in Summer 2021, I’m guessing that first birthday for her would’ve been January 2022 (yes Cynthia’s birthday is next week for those who didn’t know). So please cut the crying girls in the press tour some slack, they’ve been working on this and been in this world for 3 and a half years now, of course they’re emotional!

5. Cynthia’s “Jon always managed to catch my weirdest facial expressions!” But Ariana loves them! (And so do I)

6. Ari CRINGING at Galinda’s behavior in Dr. Dillamond’s classroom. She gets it! She knows Galinda was playing a part, knew she was being watched, that she was just a shell of who Galinda actually is. She wasn’t her best. But then praising Elphie and Cynthia’s like “Nah, this isn’t Elphaba’s best either. She’s also a shadow of her true self here.” I LOVE how talented they are that they can both SO EMBODY these characters so much to the point that they can portray a shadow of that character’s true nature!

7. Ariana is back to fangirling over Cynthia with her “awww I love you two together!” About Elphie and Dr. Dillamond 😂 as Terrible as Galinda acts in that whole scene, Ari’s true nature shines through in the commentary about how much she loves Elphaba and Dr. Dillamond

8. Ari: “How are we gonna make it through the whole movie?!” Cynthia: *groans* “I don’t know!” PLS I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!

If you’re still here I don’t know how I AM GONNA MAKE IT THROUGH THIS WHOLE MOVIE! Lol it took me 2 parts and like 2 hours just to get through the first hour of the commentary 😂 this is gonna end up being a multi part, possibly multi day saga of me trying to get through the commentary with my own commentary! Expect by the end its gonna be 5 or 6 parts

favorite to least favorite mphfpc character out of the kids?

Ooh this is going to be a hard one because I love them all so much 😭 the top ones are definitely interchangeable

1. Horace- i love my little fancy boy, he’s sassy and anxious and must be protected at all costs, what’s not to love?

2. Enoch- I really love the potential with his peculiarity and how annoying he is 💀 he’s just a little menace and I love it

3. Emma- I really enjoyed her character but I wish that we got more other than her romantic exploits 😒

4. Millard- my wee autistic boy, i relate to him a lot 😭 and I love how excited he gets when he is doing something he loves

5. Fiona- literally the sweetest and would do anything for her friends, also badass, that one scene from doda with the roots was epic

6. Hugh- much of the same with Fiona, he’s also goofy and I love that

7. Bronwyn- she is so sweet and I love her so much, I just wish we got more from her but again, mush of the same with Fee and Hugh (also I dont appreciate how Riggs infantilized her in some of the later books but that’s an argument for another day)

8. Noor- bad ASS i lover her, still wish we got more character development and wish that she didn’t jump into that relationship with Jacob(can you tell I don’t like Jacob’s romances? 💀) she is so sweet

9. Olive- I love how adventurous and brave she is despite her age, again wish we got more from her

10. Claire- just a sweet baby girl, loyal to a fault, also wish we could get more about her

11. Jacob- he irritates me but also makes me laugh sometimes. We see the story from his point of view and I kinda hold a grudge for him keeping the characters from me 😠

12. Victor- didn’t get much about him but I love the potential with his character and the little lore drops we get about him later

14. Abe- I don’t know if it counts but I just wanted to say how much I hate him, not only is he selfish and completely self centered but he’s also stupid, he doesn’t consider that maybe keeping peculiarly from Jacob for so long would be dangerous later on

The Children of the Cathedral are a cult in the ruins of L.A. who mutate and torture their congregants and captives to various ends, forever changing their bodies and minds. Some are transformed into pliable servitors through torturous consecration--an honor second only to baptism, the metamorphic birth of super mutants through the transformative FEV vats at Mariposa to the north.

Most super mutants are mentally impaired, but generally capable of reason. They are infertile due to their quad-helix DNA, which factors heavily into the main plot. All super mutants encountered in Fallout are slaves to the Master, so they are generally inclined to attack to the player, but almost (if not) all of them can be spoken to under specific circumstances.

Harry is a voiced mutant with a simplistic, childlike manner of speaking. If the Vault Dweller kills the various super mutants in the area, he will avenge each of his friends by name in combat, and mourn one as his brother.[1][2] If the player has already destroyed the vats, he will only ask to be left alone.[3][4]

When the Master is killed, super mutants flee the region out of fear.[5] For decades thereafter, baptized survivors of the Cathedral remained shunned from human society. Even those living in far-away rehabilitory seclusion are subjected to harassment, defamation, displacement, and genocide, engineered by the NCR government.[6]

These details contrast some later depictions of super mutants as interchangeable and inherently hyper-violent creatures incapable of peace.

Super mutants derived from prime normals (unirradiated humans) tend to exhibit hyper-intelligence, or at least normal cognitive function.

The mutant Lou Tenant speaks with a highly sophisticated and dramatic voice due to his hyper-intelligence. No other super mutant in the setting has exhibited this affected style of speech.

Some adherents are altered in a chemical process called "consecration."[7][8] The survivors of this process, though apparently human, are rendered insane.[9][10] The cult honors them as the "servitor" class, but non-believers pejoratively refer to them as "zombies" for their inability to think normally. Most of these "zombies" zealously espouse the cult's propaganda and show little individuality.

The servitor Dane is kept in the Inner Sanctum. He suffers terribly from disturbing hallucinations as a result of his consecration.[7] He converses with himself at length in two distinct intonations. At one point, he derides himself as a "schizo bastard."[11] He also experiences periods of lucidity, and begs the Vault Dweller to kill Father Lasher for his abuse of Calder the Flower Child.

Nightkin are the most exalted of the Cathedral's castes. Psychically inclined, they serve as high-level guards and military officers. They use Stealth Boys to stay invisible at all times, even when alone in their private quarters at night. A small library at the Cathedral is occupied only by nightkin, and a computer can be found in the nightkin barracks. The Master is able to communicate with them telepathically. Dane claims to hear the nightkin crying.

In Fallout 2, most super mutants live peacefully at Broken Hills, a settlement where all sorts of humans and mutants are welcome.

In Brotherhood of Steel, all the super mutants (such as Attis), are infertile. This is a key aspect of the game's plot, as the Attis Army are seeking a cure for their infertility.

Most super mutants are mentally disabled.

Several potential health and ability issues are indicated by a scene which depicts a super mutant relieving himself while flailing his arms above his head and screaming, as he blasts the back tank of a closed toilet from several feet away with an unthinkable procession of urine too visually graphic to further describe.[Video 1]

All super mutants in Fallout 3 except for Fawkes and Uncle Leo are portrayed as ravenous cannibals barely capable of speech. Fawkes is ostracized by the super mutants of Vault 87 for displaying complex thought. If the player eavesdrops on super mutant enemies, they seem to be constantly confused and angry.

Jacobstown functions as a haven and rehabilitation center for super mutants, especially the nightkin who are suffering from schizophrenia due to prolonged Stealth Boy usage. Two doctors reside here, hoping to find some way to help them medically with their mental struggles.

Lily Bowen, a nightkin herself and resident of Jacobstown, is an elderly woman with dementia. She frequently mistakes the Courier for her grandchild (Jimmy or Becky depending on the gender) and also suffers schizophrenia like most nightkin. Taking damage may cause her to lapse into violent behavior, similar to mood swings, during which she claims to be guided by a voice she calls "Leo." Her companion quest focuses on getting Lily to either take her medication consistently (to help control her psychosis and silence "Leo"), or stop taking it altogether (later resulting in "Leo" completely taking over and Lily becoming violently psychotic, perhaps permanently).

The mutant separatist Tabitha suffers from mania. She also seems to have some degree of dissociative identity disorder. A robot named Rhonda helps her manage the symptoms of her mental conditions. With Rhonda disabled, Tabitha's mental condition is deteriorating.

Tabitha's Black Mountain mutants are presented as a violent parallel faction to the peaceful community of Jacobstown.

A super mutant named Neil guards the pass to Black Mountain, and warns people to stay away for their own safety, especially at night. He maintains his post simply because he is in a position to prevent violence on a significant scale. Neil is not mentally disabled, and will not tolerate microaggressions pertaining to his condition, both out of self-respect and respect for differently abled metamorphic people. He is quick to forgive those who apologize, but any other option will result in him terminating the conversation.

The presentation of Tabitha as a violent nightkin with a comedic low-detail blond wig has been criticized as falling into cheap, antiquated tropes related to disabled and queer people. The depiction of Gail in Fallout 76 as a benevolent, dignified super mutant woman with mental disabilities has been praised in comparison.

The nightkin Dog and God has been called a portrayal of dissociative identity disorder. Both identities are aware of the other. Each desires complete control over the body and refers to losing agency to the other as being "put in the cage/basement." The nightkin's story ends with either an act of suicide that kills the body and both identities with it, one personality taking over permanently, or the Courier helping to create a new unified identity.

This new identity is, in turn, struck with amnesia, unable to recall any details of that which transpired before its synthesis.

Fans with similar conditions have suggested that the presentation of efficaciously "resolving" this person into a single personality to "unlock their good ending" is a simplistic and clichéd character arc. It presents the character's mind and identity as something to be immediately "solved" by a manipulative stranger, in the form of a life-changing ego death triggered by a single violent and traumatizing event. The relatively complex presentation of fellow nightkin character Lily has been praised in comparison.

Dead Eye is a blind super mutant who lives with a larger group of mutants.

Super mutants are once again depicted as disorganized cannibals who live only to pillage.[23] The only conversant super mutant characters (aside from the isolated case of Virgil) are Strong and Erickson, both of who were othered by their immediate groups for expressing different and/or complex thought. Super mutants in the Commonwealth can be seen impulsively carrying out suicide bombings using mini nukes, despite canonically having no ideology[23] or even an apparent internal hierarchy apart from leadership by strength.

Strong, a potential companion, became very interested in a line from MacBeth when Rex Goodman was captured while trying to teach it to the super mutants, though it seems he simply became fixated on the notion that "the milk of human kindness" was a literal physical liquid hidden somewhere in the world that confers the "power of humans" on the drinker; Strong believes he could find and drink this milk to become stronger. He was imprisoned along with Rex by Fist for this. He never particularly expresses a deeper comprehension of the literary themes of MacBeth past his obsession with finding the milk of human kindness.

Erickson became a survivalist after splitting from his group on the Island. He claims the Fog helped him "think straight," which made him unable to continue working for his brutal leader. He is the only super mutant in Fallout 4 to be seen speaking with proper syntax except for Virgil.

Virgil is a former Institute scientist who deliberately turned himself into a super mutant to survive in the Glowing Sea and hopes to reverse his condition. He retains his intelligence but suffers from anger issues. He also has difficulty articulating the use of his hands.

The super mutant merchant Grahm was arguably the only non-robotic NPC in Fallout 76 at launch. He travels with a brahmin he calls "Chally the moo-moo," apparently unable to pronounce the name "Charlie."

Gail is a super mutant woman who lives among the Core crew of the Crater Raiders. She is singularly concerned with protecting the human child Ra-Ra. She finds humans very annoying and confusing. She casually admits to not understanding some events which happen around her.

Ra-Ra mentions that she wants to grow up to be like Meg and Gail, suggesting that she sees both as powerful and dignified women.

Her design has no elements which might frame her masculine physicality as comedic, or imply she is "crazy."

Maul is a super mutant who exhibits the typical simplified speech and love of mayhem, but concerns himself with intellectual pursuits such as video games and comics. He wears a small pair of glasses, and he may respond to dialogue prompts with nonverbal scoffs. Maul is an archetypical "comic book guy" character, and accordingly resembles an autistic RPG fan. Like Gail, Maul finds humans and their interests to be obnoxious and inscrutable, and makes no attempt to hide his contempt for the player character.

Maul infodumps about his special interest fictions. His favorite IP seems to be Grognak the Barbarian.

Some of his analysis of fictional situations reveals a difficulty understanding social cues.

At times, his descriptions of the video game adaptation evoke discussions of soulslike games.

Contrasting his vocal misanthropy, he expresses great affinity for animals. He considers himself a dog person, because 'cat require more patience than Maul prepared to give.' If Maul had cats, he would name them Bramble and Zil.

I think the movie was uniquely terrible. I wouldn’t say necessarily it’s not worth the watch however I would only watch it for free. (Free on Peacock…) I wouldn’t let my 13 year old brother watch this movie - not particularly because it is scary but there are moments where body horror collides with fetish content aggressively. Certainly earns the thriller title and leaves the horror aspect in the dust. I think that for a movie under 2 hours it filled the awkward space between dinner and bed acceptably. It honestly felt like a creepy pasta that got made into a movie.

Spoiler Review:

I was not overly found of the cast we were given to play with. The main 4 felt very one dimensional most of the time (to be honest all of the female characters lacked much human characteristics and depth beyond one defining feature).

Guy Cappa was certainly there for much of the movie. To be honest all of his roles could have been interchanged with another characters and it would have had no affect on the film.

Prisca Cappa seemed initially to be an independent science minded woman who was battling with chronic illness… after her character depth was explored she was a slightly conceded stereotypical mother who was leaving her husband and children for another man because she was on a doom spiral about a potentially benign tumor in her abdomen.

Maddox Cappa was the sister to Trent Cappa. She was dangerously underdeveloped as a character despite being 1/2 of the island goers that made it to the end.

Trent Cappa was an autistic coded boy who is the main protagonist. His knowledge and maturity level is dubious throughout the film as at times he behaves like a young adult than will quickly snap into 6 year old mode. His knowledge level is also dubious throughout the film as he is see to wield random facts and “adult themes” yet know nothing about other things.

Mid- sized sedan was my favorite character. He was the most charasmatic to me and besides the odd tension they placed at points between him and Maddox I enjoyed him. The tension present between him and Charles was palpable. I think one of the biggest flaws in the movie came from mid sized sedan however - he went to the beach with a girl who had MS and after she went nude swimming and disappeared he waited until mid morning to truly look for her. Despite the fact that every half hour was 1 year and he had been there since late in the night (assumably 2AM -> 10(ish) AM when the other vacationers arrived - so roughly 16 “years” or so) he was still recognizable by Maddox as midsized sedan. He aged essentially none while there which was attributed to the fact of him being black in a one off joke between him and Patricia. He was also attributed as having a clotting disorder despite having a bloody nose for hours which assumably would have healed immediately much like all of the other wounds gotten in the film.

Charles (the doctor) - racist doctor with dementia who had a significantly younger than him wife and a young daughter. He was one of the most hard tried horror elements and the one that fell flat the hardest. 🪲 is a nurse who specializes in geriatric care (they interact with almost exclusively patients with dementia on a day to day basis). They found his dementia process to be a gross mischaracterization of the disease and to be surface level researched at best.

Crystal - vein blond woman with a calcium deficiency who is a shitty mother and wife- that’s it… her death (rocking around in a cave where she literally breaks both of her arms and both of her legs because she was “too ugly” to be seen) was uhh… really silly… I mean seriously… she bumped into a wall and shattered her arm… than leaned in her hand and broke it. Than writhed like a worm until she broke herself to pieces….

Kara was a disgusting story line - she was raised by Crystal and unknowingly had sex with Trent, became rapidly pregnant, lost the baby, and died via falling off a cliff… (more to come about this)

Charle’s mother (+obligatory small rich lady dog) were completely irrelevant to the plot. They needed to fill the animal death quota of the story I guess. She held so little significance that I genuinely forgot she was ever there multiple times throughout the story.

Jarin and Patricia - Jarin is the equivalent of tossing in a DMPC when you’ve given up on the PC being able to figure out the shape puzzle. He gave valuable insight about the area than died immediately after his use was spent. Patricia was an epileptic psychologist … that’s it… she had seizures… gave surface level psychological facts, than died of a seizure…

To be transparent last night was the second time I had watched this film. The first time, I was still in high school and had pirated Old after it first came out. After I watched it I remember feeling a gross kind of discomfort. At the time I chalked it up to being affective horror that maybe I was susceptible to. However, as an adult with a fully functioning brain I think the feeling that I associate with this movie is the sensation of accidentally stumbling into porn as a kid.

I want to be very clear that the pregnancy scene felt pedophilic. The young children had been rapidly aged and layed next to each other in the towel fort Kara had made with her deceased grandmother. The scene in retrospect is disturbing greatly because Trent and Kara obviously had the mind of children still and spoke as young kids do, the screen panned back to the adults on the other side of the beach, than suddenly Kara and Trent are walking towards their parents, hand in hand, and Kara is grotesquely pregnant. Jarin claims she is around 5 months: however, her stomach droops low, linea nigra and all, as she realistically looks near birthing. Something is so uncomfortably visceral about a six year old naively comforting her mother that she had simply “gotten fat” while her stomach bulges and swells. The kids seemingly didn’t know they had sex… Kara was than laid on the beach, belly protruding, as everyone gathered around her to birth the baby…

There was no reason to have a child impregnated and birthing. The poor foreshadowing of this provided by Prisca’s tumor removal did not justify this even slightly. There were three married couples, a stereotypical bimbo character, and an “outsider” who were all adults and yet they chose the children to partake in the only sexual acts of the film… nasty as fuck.

Throughout the rest of the film I felt as though the actions of the, specially female, characters were all bizarrely fetish-y. The emphasis on Maddox developing breasts as she went through puberty was uncomfortable. The constant shots of scantily clad and barefoot women just came across as gross gooner bait. The incompetence held by most of the characters was perceived similarly to the incompetence held by five minute craft actors. Though the film does not specifically describe itself as having fetish content I find this to be obvious when looking at it from a narrative perspective.

My interpretation of enneagrams is based purely on the motivation part of it, plus I also use the wings for funsies, and here’s a little cheat sheet of the enneagram motive types:

I’d put him as a 2w1. I think a couple years ago, he might have liked the high status kitchens for the amount of praise they received, but he’s working on a much more personal level now, and he tries very hard not to be shitty to the people he’s close to

So this gets a little complicated with stated motivations (easy type 7) vs what’s actually going on there which became a lot more evident in season 2, but anyway

His mains are 2, because his restaurant found family is incredibly important to him and feeling like he’s important to them is a big part of his whole thing, 6, because he starts out very resistant to change because of his intense fear of losing his place in the Beef/Bear, 7, because he did heavily prioritize hanging out and enjoying himself with his restaurant family above the functioning of the Beef sometimes.

I’d probably put him as 2w3, but it’s complicated because his 2 and 6 motivations are almost interchangeable. 2: he found a purpose of being wanted around by customers in order to be wanted around by his restaurant family vs 6: where he finds a purpose in life in order to stay secure in his life. I don’t know honestly

1. Sooga. Used to be Link, but Sooga took first with a QUICKNESS. He’s perfect, that’s it. His cutscenes for certain attacks, speed, damage, attitude, it’s all so good. Parrying three times and getting that attack boost feels illegal

2. Link. His range of weapons is so good, and all of them are all cracked in their own right. His spear is heavily underrated and can crowd control pretty well

3. Calamity. He almost feels illegal sometimes. He isn’t that fast while sprinting regularly, but his attacks are nuts. Plus, the little animated cutscenes are awesome

4. Impa. Having all five symbols clears the field with ease, plus her A charges up insanely fast

5. Rhoam and Zelda are interchangeable for me, but Rhoam will take four. The power in his guise change and attacks is crazy, and his speed as the old man is phenomenal. His sprint + X goes SO far and deals massive damage

6. Zelda. Bow of Light is nasty and can also crowd control really well. Having a 196 (currently) bow really sells her for me

7. Teba. I just love him he’s such a cute dad. But his attacks!! He has a really good range of fighting on the ground and in the air, and while the fighting mechanics in the for he and revali are a bit funky, teba felt easier to control

8. Sidon. His employ endless optimism ability is actually good, but I do wish his base strength was a bit better. I like him though and am a fan of fighting with the spear for her and mipha

9. Terrako. He’s fun! And I say that with very little recollection of his attacks 💀 but I remember him being good! He’s just tiny and doesn’t cover a ton of ground like some others

10. Mipha. Surprisingly decent. I don’t remember it now, but I do recall spamming one of her combos and getting some really good damage off in the levels I needed to use her in

11. Urbosa. Her lightning attacks are so good and can be really good for crowd control

12. Riju. Actually good. Takes getting used to, but she’s really good for big damage in tight spaces. Wouldn’t really use her for a lynel or a hinox or something though

13. Revali. My sarcastic king. Also decent, he’s just almost entirely in the air and I’m not super fond of it, despite his area of attack. He’s strong, but controlling him wasn’t exactly my favorite thing

14. Daruk. He’s OK, fairly slow to attack though. I’m sure if I had him stronger, he’d mow down everything. Used him a little bit outside of mandatory things and it was manageable

15. Guardian. Surprisingly decent and used him a little outside the mandatory things. Considering he’s not humanoid like the rest of them, it wasn’t too bad. Unlocking him sucked though

16. Purah and Robbie. Actually good and enjoyed them, I just never used them again 💀 but they pleasantly surprised me!

17. Hestu. He’s ok and some his attacks are fine, but not an ideal choice. Played as him more than Moz 💀

18. Kohga. He’s strong, but his recovery time was way too slow for my liking

19. Yunobo. I genuinely don’t know the last time I played him. What even are his attacks

20. Moz. I don’t think I’ve played as him since I needed to to complete his training, but I remember him being pretty decent! Just never went back to him so I don’t exactly remember or where he should be in the lineup💀

Sorry for sending in another ask so soon but I'm fixated on Little Hope again and was wondering what your headcanons for the Clarkes are personality wise and such?

And what age do you think each of the Clarke Siblings were adopted?

I think Tanya and Dennis may have been adopted before they could remember the system or their birth families but that Anthony and Megan were adopted a bit later, if that makes sense?

Like around 5 or so.

OK so I actually have hyper specific headcanons about the Clarke children's adoptions largely based on who I believe they are biological related to

So I believe Dennis was adopted first at birth, his bio mum was an unwed teen mother who was pressured to put him up for adoption by her parents and James and Anne made the decision before he was born(I believe his his birth mother was Charlie Anderson's little sister and joey Gomez's grandma and thus he's related to the other uses of his model)

Tanya was around 4 and her bio parents are the inpatient's interchangeable Anna/Gordan Bennet, the blackwoods incident happened when she was that age and Anna has the same character model making her a perfect fit for Tanya's bio mum

In my mind Anthony was a toddler and his father(John Ferris's son) gave him up after his mother died because they had been again very young and he didn't see himself as cut out for it at the time

For the older three I think it makes sense that Anne and James wanted to have a few children in close ish proximity(as the middle of three I have that exact age gap with my siblings), so Megan being so much younger is certainly different from the other three

At this point I'm gonna just say it, the little kid characters all have one face model and I can't just make all kids related so I had to get a little creative and made her biologically related to the Clarke's and in fact their niece. Her mum died when she was a baby and her father worked away and they cared for her but she was orphand at 6 so rather than being adopted older it's just a very rocky transition from what was supposed to be a temporary situation to a permanent one(this is very much tied to my belief that hector Munday and Megan Clarke have the same dad and thus why 6 specifically)

As for personality wise I believe that all the traits of their doubles are something they have the potential for to some extent but it's just such a broad category and I'll either boil them down too much or talk in circles forever lol

As mentioned in the Top 10 Heroes version of this post, here’s a names meaning post for the supporting characters.

Characters are sorted by order of appearance, and names are listed in this order: English, Chinese, Pinyin, and Nickname/CN Abbreviation. (The last two are just for my own reference. And ignore the colors in the text. That’s also just for my ref)

1. Miss J / 娟姐 / Juān Jiě / JJ

Juān 娟 means beautiful/graceful, while jiě 姐 is a honorific that means “elder sister.” But jie can also be used to address older women in the same generation or in a generation close to you, so the translation of “miss” in English is apt.

I really didn’t want to abbreviate her as JJ because of Yuri on Ice, but since Ice Ado movie is cancelled then whatever

2. Moon / 潇月卿 / Xiāo Yuè Qīng / XYQ

Dictionary definitions of each character in her name:

潇 (xiāo) = (of water) deep and clear; (of wind and rain) howling and pounding; (of light rain) pattering

月 (yuè) = moon

卿 (qīng) = high ranking official (old); term of endearment between spouses (old); (from the Tang Dynasty onwards) term used by the emperor for his subjects (old);

The association of xiao with water, the word for moon, plus qing being both a term of endearment between old couples and one used to address someone of high status. Something something about Xiao Yueqing being put on a pedestal and also the fact that she is now Lin Ling’s white moonlight:

The Chinese slang white moonlight (白月光 , bái yuèguāng) typically refers to someone or something that remains unattainable yet deeply cherished in one’s heart. It represents a love that lingers—idealized, untouchable, and forever out of reach. While often translated as a “first love,” it specifically describes a love that was never fully realized or reciprocated.

3. Enlighter / 启士 / Qǐ Shì / QS

Qǐ 启 means “to enlighten/awaken,” and Shì 士 is a suffix used to denote someone as an expert in something. Thus, Enlightener Enlighter.

The correct word is Enlightener, not Enlighter 💀. Li Haoling, I beg you, stay in your lane and leave the localization to the experts 😭

3.2 God Eye / 天眼 / Tiān Yǎn / GE

Tiān 天 translates to “heaven” or “sky,” but depending on context it can also stand for “god.” Yǎn 眼 means “eye.”

Imma call him by his English name since the translation is good enough. GE is also a much better abbreviation than TY, which can stand for “thank you.”

4. Wreck / 破坏王 / Pòhuài Wáng / W + 雷克 / Léi Kè

His Chinese name means “Destruction King,” and in Chinese it sounds like what one would call a very troublesome child. The Chinese fans hate it and refuse to call him by it 😂. In the Chinese fandom, some just call him Wreck (written in English) or by its transliteration 雷克 (Léi Kè), which can mean “Thunder Conqueror.” And honestly, that sounds a whole lot cooler than Destruction King 😭. 雷 is also internet slang for “terrifying,” apparently… Yeah, that really is cooler 😭😭😭

Once again, Li Haoling, please stay in your lane

5. Firm Man / 英雄不倒 / Yīngxióng Bù Dǎo / BD

I initially thought Yīngxióng 英雄 was just a title they add on to a hero’s name since it just means Hero, and in-universe there’s an ad that addresses Nice as Yingxiong Nice. But in the case of Bu Dao, I guess it really is part of his hero name since nobody calls him by just Bu Dao.

Bù 不 is a negator, and Dǎo 倒 is “to fall.” Direct translation of his name would then be something like Never Falling Hero, Infallible Hero, etc.

Firm Man is such a terrible translation 💀

6. Wolf Girl / 蛊狼 / Gǔ Láng / GL

Gǔ 蛊 refers to a type of poison that is used to bewitch someone and can be controlled from afar. This choice of character is then very fitting for Gu Lang, since her powers work by changing the public’s perception of Bu Dao without directly confronting him.

Láng 狼 means wolf. Altogether, her name can be translated as Poison Wolf. Some have translated it to Mad Wolf, since Gu can also mean “to drive someone to insanity.” Personally, I prefer Bewitching Wolf or just Wolf Witch.

See now how “Wolf Girl” is an injustice to her actual hero name?

7. Mr. Shand Shang / 尚总 / Shàng Zǒng / SZ

Shàng 尚 is just a common Chinese surname, but here are some of its dictionary definitions: still / yet / to value / to esteem.

Zǒng 总 is an honorific for your superior in work. I’ve often seen it translated as “chief.” So, Chief Zong.

Idk why the translation team decided to change the g in Shang to d. Shang sounds much better than Shand, and English viewers shouldn’t find it weird since there was a guy named Shang in Mulan...

8. Blankster / 忘仔 / Wàng Zǎi / WZ

Wàng 忘 means “to forget,” while Zǎi 仔 means “child.” I guess the zai is there because WZ has been a hero since he was young.

9. Uncle Rock / 岩叔 / Yán Shū / YS

In Asia, it’s common to address other people with family terms as a way of showing respect or familiarity. Yang Cheng calls Yán 岩 “uncle 叔,” but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’re blood-related.

Yán 岩 means “rock” or “cliff.”

10. Xià Qíng / 夏晴 / XQ

Xià 夏 means summer, while Qíng means clear/fine (when talking about the weather).

11. Shàng Chāo / 尚超 / SC

Shang Chao actually has the same surname as Mr. Shang/Shand (he is, after all, his son). I don’t know why the translation team decided to give them different surnames 💀

Chāo means “to exceed/surpass.”

12. Little Pomelo / 小柚子 / Xiǎo Yòuzi / YZ

Little Pomelo is a literal translation of his Chinese nickname. (Yeah, I believe that’s just a nickname and not his actual name.)

Xiǎo 小, meaning “little,” is often added before a name as a form of endearment.
