Last time on A Puzzle Just For Me...

Reader sold herself to Sans to pay for her sister Sasha’s hospital treatments; Sans bought Reader to help him forget his failure to stop the anomaly. Against their better judgments, the two of them fell for each other. When Reader learned the truth about the anomaly, she and Sans made a plan to stop him: she would distract Jerren for as long as possible while Sans figured out how to destroy his power to turn back time. Sans pulled it off — sacrificing himself in the process. Now, no one remembers he ever existed.

Although Jerren was stopped, the Surface was brought down to earth and its power over the monsters neutralized, Reader couldn’t forget everything that happened to her. It wasn’t until an honest conversation with Sasha that she could start to heal. Eventually, she came to realize there was something she’d forgotten… or, perhaps, someone. Sasha calls this mystery figure “Mr. S.”

Against their better judgments, the two of them fell for each other. When Reader learned the truth about the anomaly, she and Sans made a plan to stop him: she would distract Jerren for as long as possible while Sans figured out how to destroy his power to turn back time. Sans pulled it off — sacrificing himself in the process. For several months, no one remembered he existed.

Reader has come to understand there’s a gigantic hole in her memories, and has found clues Sans left her that can lead to bringing him back. She and her sister performed a ritual which endowed them with unfathomable magical powers and sent them to the void. There they went through a confusing, surreal sequence that ended with them being split up and trapped. But they managed to get out, and found that Sans and Papyrus were also there — or rather, fragments of Sans and Papyrus’ souls, split off and sent to the void by their mysterious creator. In the eternal chaos of the void, Papyrus was able to hone his dream-related powers and help guide Sans and Reader as they worked to defeat the anomaly. And although Reader’s Sans is lost in the void, they think he can still be saved… along with their creator.

When Reader learned the truth about the anomaly, she and Sans made a plan to stop him: she would distract Jerren for as long as possible while Sans figured out how to destroy his power to turn back time. Sans pulled it off — sacrificing himself in the process. For several months, no one remembered he existed.

Jerren escaped and performed a terrible ritual to try to get his powers back, leading to him being forgotten as well. Reader, who had been slowly recovering from her ordeal, became aware of the gigantic holes in her memory, and discovered a puzzle leading to a hidden laboratory. There, she learned that she and a mysterious figure had been battling a god, and that the mysterious figure had sacrificed himself to defeat it, but had left instructions for her to come save him. She decided to go through with it, and she and her sister went through a ritual to send them to the void. There they went through a confusing, surreal sequence that ended with them being split up and trapped. But they managed to get out, and found themselves at an old friend’s house. Now he’s calling to them from the kitchen, where he’s making spaghetti.

Sasha, Frisk and Asriel managed to break the spell on the Surface and bring it down to earth. Then they attacked the Institute for Extraphysical Studies, Jerren’s personal laboratory for studying magic. Jerren anticipated the move, and trapped them in the basement. But breaking the spell sent the magic back to the humans who were present. Both Reader and Frisk’s magic has manifested itself.

Now they’ve brought it down to earth, they’re going to destroy the Institute for Extraphysical Studies, Jerren’s personal laboratory for studying magic.

But after angering the anomaly, the reset Sans has long awaited has come and gone, and the two of them are stuck in a short time loop.

After Reader learned the true nature of reality and she and Sans made a breakthrough, she created a plan with him to buy more time by devoting herself to Jerren. Initially Jerren was delighted with one of his characters realizing the truth, and worshiping him as a god, but he soon started to punish and torment her instead, as he turned himself into a god and took over New Ebott. Sasha had a plan to save her sister, but it failed: Jerren figured out her secret and captured her. But during the wedding, Sans showed up, and fought with Jerren. When Jerren was weakened, Sans split the anomaly away from Jerren’s soul, channeled the energy this released through his own soul, used his magic to open a portal to the void, and drew himself and the anomaly into it, removing both of them from existence.

Sasha had a plan to save her sister, but it failed: Jerren figured out her secret and captured her. Now Jerren is going through with the wedding, before going back in time to study Sasha's powers. But at the last minute, Sans slams open the cathedral doors.

After learning the truth about the world, and helping Sans make a last-minute breakthrough, Reader has bought Sans some time by offering herself to Jerren, who believes himself to be a god. He was delighted by this development, now considering Reader the only other real person in a world of characters, and told her about how he became a god.

When Reader learned the truth about the anomaly, she and Sans made a plan to stop him: she would distract Jerren for as long as possible while Sans figured out how to destroy his power to turn back time. Sans pulled it off — sacrificing himself in the process. Now, no one remembers he ever existed.

As Reader recovered from everything she’d suffered at Jerren’s hands, she slowly became aware that she, and the rest of the world, had forgotten someone: a man Sasha called “Mr. S.” After several months in captivity, Jerren escaped and started kidnapping people for a terrible ritual. But once he was done, the world forgot about him as well. Reader is upset by all of the holes in her memory, but soon learns that everyone else has those holes as well. After Alphys gives her a letter that seems to have been written by Mr. S., Reader and Sasha find the hint written in invisible ink and follow it, finding four puzzle pieces. When put together, the puzzle pieces teleport them to a mysterious laboratory.

He made several plans to enjoy this new experience, but then, right as news of his father’s death came, his whole attitude changed. It turns out that he's reset back to this point after Reader angered him, a year into the future, by suggesting he give up his powers. He ends up physically assaulting Reader when she disobeys him, and leaves her terrified of the awful plans he has for her, and for the city.
