#ARC nulls

I respect Kal Skirata so much for the single act of stepping off of a ship onto a completely strange planet, telling himself he's only doing this for the money, and immediately adopting SIX kids. (Twelve if you count the ones he named even though they died before he arrived, which I do, because I apparently like to cause myself heartache.)

Alpha-17 definitely encountered one of the Nulls while raising the CC batch and he definitely handled it by chucking the cadet he was carrying at them. The Null — who for the sake of clarity we’ll just assume was Ordo —, regardless of any moral deficiencies, caught the cadet on instinct, having not expected 17 to just do that.

Unfortunately for him, the cadet was Fox. Who promptly started attacking his face like a rabid honey badger.

(It took a full forty-five minutes to pry him off Ordo, and it only really worked because 17 got bored and told Fox to get his ass over there so they could rejoin the others.)

(Needless to say, 17’s kids aren’t too impressed with the Nulls.

Cody: Well if it isn’t Flighty McBitchass.

Mandalorian Bounty Hunter Jango Fett & The Clones

Wanted to post this to show that during his origin story in the classic 2002 video game Star Wars Bounty Hunter, Jango Fett did indeed care about the Clones. Jango said he was "proud" of them; he even let this be known to his son Boba Fett.

(Unlike the in-universe narrative claiming Jango cared nothing about the Clones & the only Clone Jango ever cared about was Boba.)

In the following Cutscene Storyboards from Star Wars Bounty Hunter, Mandalorian Bounty Hunter (And Prime Clone Template) Jango Fett said his Clones were a damn fine Army, ready for battle. When Jango discussed this with Boba, Jango told him: "You shouldn't feel sorry for them. I don't. I feel…Proud."

And I❤️this from @fox-trot talking about Jango Fett & his concerns with the lives & treatment of the Clones….

Jango Fett consistently fought the Kaminoans over reconditioning/ decommissioning. In the early days he managed to convince the Kaminoans to change the expected standard, allowing for more leniency regarding deviations in physical appearance, speech patterns, behavior, temperament, etc. This saved many lives. He also regularly stepped in & rescued clones scheduled to be reconditioned for ‘aberrant’ behavior or mental health concerns. The Null ARCs & Delta Squad were saved from death because of his intervention. He also had a secret operation where he smuggled at-risk clones off of Kamino.

Kal Skirata, Jango, Orum Wa and the Nulls (by me, Nocturius)

Nocturius: Oh crap, I thought I've already shared that one here, but, hey, enjoy!

It's a piece I made on Krita last Winter. It feel aaaaaaaaaaaaages ago since do RC and TBB content (well... mostly memes tbh) on a regular basis.

It took me over 50h to do. 9 characters, Tipoca City and the work of light and storm. That was an hard one for sure! Still not 100% happy with the perspective, shading and composition but that's a ''me'' problem as an artist. I tried hard to respect the books description and also material from The Clones Wars and Attack of the Clones for the visual as reference pictures. I found some useful concept art online too. That was a very formative project. I think it was the first time I did piece directly on Krita instead of scanning a sketch. I was getting more confident with my stylet and wacom!

the most disconcerting thing about the nulls and kal's relationship has gotta be their almost regressive soft spot for him. Imagine watching a 6ft blackops captain built like a tank in full armor shoot someone point blank like its a homework assignment and then turn to this random mandalorian with the universal 'did I do good dad?' look. I'm scrambling. That's the type of thing that seems sweet from 3rd person omniscient but in first person makes every hair on your body raise

All I’m saying is that one of the ways Alpha-17 trained the Command Batch to deal with life-threatening situations is by sending them to torment the Nulls.

Of course, any serious retaliation on the Nulls’ part is halted by a gigantic and murderously frowning Alpha-17, who stares at them with indescribable contempt until they just decide to cut their losses and leave.

This also means that Cody has absolutely no respect for the Nulls. They all do, but Cody’s the one who stands there smiling with evil eyes and offering to tell “all those funny stories from Kamino” to whoever else is in the room.
