Happy to share a new DUNE piece I painted! This is Feyd Rautha Harkonnen, the sadistic nephew of the Baron and heir to planet Arrakis. I saw the movie two weeks ago and its a solid 10 for me. The visuals and limited color palettes served the narrative to the smallest detail. The entire project also shows that we need MORE mature fantasy/sci fi on a smaller budget.Should I continue making these DUNE characters? Please let me know which character I should make next!

currently thinking about a situation in which paul atreides (pre spice agony/dark messiah) and feyd rautha end up stuck in the desert with no other means of survival than trusting the enigmatic figure of the wanderer.

you, lone fremen, sharper than the na baron's blade, with an uncanny ability to predict when things are about to go awry.

you, deeeeeeply tired of their antics, who just want to sleep without waking up to two dead bodies. shenanigans ensue because no feyd, this is worm territory - what do you mean you want to see a worm. what do you MEAn

yeah Feyd Rautha and femme!Paul having the most fucked up unhealthy straight relationship to ever exist is fun, but ya know what could be equally as fun in a completely different way? Feyd and Paul having a relationship so similar to the best parts of Jessica and Leto's relationship that it's almost uncanny. Jessica seeing herself in the lovestruck gaze with which Paul watches Feyd whenever she thinks no one else is looking. Or seeing Leto in Feyd's devotion to Paul, his unquestioning loyalty to her.

And maybe Jessica disappoints Leto by birthing a daughter, maybe their relationship grows uncomfortable and distant as a result. But Jessica knows she wouldn't change a thing, because she sees how happy Paul is ruling with her Harkonnen husband.

Jessica ruining (or at least straining) her own relationship with Leto, to give Paul the love and power filled life she deserves with Feyd Rautha

What song is Gurney Halleck playing?

Happy to share another DUNE painting! The master-at-arms and bard for House Atreides. My previous depiction of Gurney was not good at all, so I decided to redo it from scratch. The background is inspired by the water planet of Caladan, the Atreides homeworld.

This is the final DUNE character for the time being, but I will definitely resume the series in the future!
