WIP Cleanout part III: ATS baby gym - animated

the Leka Circus baby gym from ATS, now with animated toys! that's it, just a very small mesh edit with a half-assed preview featuring Brian Broke. For the animations to function properly, you either need the original DangleMaster Deluxe (edited version available here) or the animation fix by @honeywell-mts

@jacky93sims made functional versions of several @aroundthesims decorative phones. They have cords! Unfortunately, the cord won't stretch as your sim walks and talks on it, but it's perfect for decorating realistically. At least your sim won't have to stretch the cord as far as it'll go into the other room to get some privacy on the phone like I did. Lol.

Various Pet Defaults - Part 1

Pet Bed Basket Expensive

Replaced with chrissy6930's mesh edit of said pet bed (scroll down) and re-mapped by me to use 512x512 textures. Existing recolors will break unfortunately, but I couldn't even find many to begin with. I did include 8 recolors (some of them are remakes of windkeeper's (T$R) recolors). They all have a dirty state, it's not as dirty (/turquoise) as Maxis' but it's something at least. I will include my .psd for this in part 2.

Pet Food

I dislike the original pet food texture, but I liked the one from this upload by @beautifulnerdkitty. I edited it slightly and turned it into a default replacement.

Note: custom pet bowls might not use my default, since I think they often have their own?

Bon Voyage Bone

The bone sims can dig up from bon voyage is identical to the chew bone from pets ep (but a separate object completely), so I replaced it with the bone from castaway. I re-mapped it to use 140x100px texture (yes!) and I also made it buyable (you can find it under misc - pets) but this edit is in a separate file. If you install the buyable file in your downloads folder, it will have a custom star and can be deleted in-game, and doing so will corrupt your game. If you decide to install the buyable file as well, be careful not to delete the bone in-game!

Maxis made a custom description for this bone, but only in English. I fixed this and now the description is available in all languages, courtesy of Google translate (the Swedish translation I'm confident in but please let me know if any translation needs fixing). They also broke the shadow, which I've successfully restored and edited to fit the new mesh.

All of the edited custom downloads I mention below, I've re-used their files so you have to choose between my versions or their original!

I re-mapped @deedee-sims' pet pillows to match my new 512x512 textures.

I swapped mesh on hmiller61615's dog chew treat, repo'd it to Maxis' treat texture and also made a version using BV's animations to get rid of the squeaky sound. The file ending with _pets is using the animations from pets with the squeaky sound. The file with _bv at the end is using the animations from bon voyage, with a "boney" sound (and therefore requires bon voyage). Choose one of the files!

My edit: polycount: 160, texture size: repo'd to Maixs' texture (64x32).

I edited one of the bones by @vampirekiss6661 from here (scroll down). I made it smaller and a tad thicker and gave it a shadow. I made a bv version of this as well, choose one file; either pets or bv!

Polycount: 402, texture size: 128x256

I also re-mapped, resized + edited the textures of ats2's pet bowl & recolor, converted by @beautifulnerdkitty's here. I removed the sheen, repo'd it to Maxis' resources when possible, and gave it a dirty state. My .psd is included if you'd like to make more recolors.

Polycount: 482, texture size: 256x256 (original was 1024x1024)

Recommend Mods

@episims' no rotating pet bowl fix (thank god for that) and Aaron's finicky pet fix (ad-free direct link, SFS mirror).

My pet bed default is required for my recolors to work, and the bv bone default requires bon voyage, otherwise nothing in this dowload is dependent on anything so you can pick and choose what you want. As usual, no mip-maps and everything has been compressed to reduce file size. You can choose between merged or separate recolors (which are clearly named).

Do let me know if anything is wonky or you stumble upon any problems. I am so sorry for the long post, this download wasn't supposed to be more than just two defaults (well, technically it is only 2 defaults included here but I kept getting sidetracked as you can see).. and I have so many more I'll have to make a part 2 (cats are not forgotten)!

Edit 2025-03-25: So sorry!! The pet bowl from ats was incomplete, I apparently never finished that one? Hahah so sorry, the links above have been updated with the fixed mesh. It's only the mesh you need to replace (stroda3t2petbowl1MESH_vk.package) all other files are the same. Because MEGA doesn't allow one to update an uploaded file, I had to delete it and upload it again. Thank you so much @sweetbeagaming for letting me know about the broken shadow<3

No MTS you might ask, and yeah sadly. I'm done uploading to MTS, the upload-wizard completely hates me haha. I've lost all my text more times than I want to admit and keep in mind I have to write [b] and [url=] manually over there. From now on I'll only upload to my tumblr. No offense to MTS, it's a great site and I love it dearly.

The Charity Hospice. It's pretty simple, the rules describe it as "to offer temporary respite such as a meal, bathing or clothing to wayfarers and the homeless", so it has a couple of bathtubs, a well, and a stove where maybe Clarissa makes soup for the needy! Sims can come here if they're down on their luck (I might ban rich sims?).

I was quite inspired by @mortia's almshouse build, I might steal that idea of it serving that ATS2 mood-booster soup!

Hey Tumblrverse, I'm back on my medieval folder optimization at the moment and recently had the fun of messing around with the prison mod by Inge Jones, which sadly did not suit my medieval game vibes... at all. So, I remeshed it! 😁

The items I have changed are pictured here. I have also changed the food which prisoners are fed, from a strange clone of the Maxis Instant Meal cans, to a chicken leg from Sun & Moon's Medieval Munchies set (FILE NOT INCLUDED as per Sun & Moon's TOU, please download separately). Thank you to @klaartjesimblr for the help figuring out how to do that! New textures for the area controllers were done by me. Hey! The song name I picked for this today is a typical period situation. But worry not, your sims can now have some comfort with this set of handy thingies! They're all purely decorative, though, but it's the thought that counts.

I've been feeling like there's not nearly enough menstrual products for simmies in TS2 so I kept thinking that I should learn to make objects and convert something. Wasn't until ages after that I randomly stumbled upon Sulainey's set and fell in love. It's really cute! That's how I converted my first object ever - a box. And a bunch of other stuff afterwards.

I thought that it would be a good addition to the set to make some hot water bottle recolors, because I'd never seen any at all and I think this is a very cool thing to own. Don't use a Pepsi bottle filled with hot water like I used to and let your sims get the real thing and live happily. Especially since it comes in cute Poppet colors (as well as a couple accidental new shades made with the same actions).

Everything is compressed and comes with descriptions. I also made a tiny edit to the ATS2 mesh, making the thumbnail appear slightly bigger than the original so that it's easier to pick a color. Hope everything works well in your game and you enjoy it!

This reminds me of the beauty salon that my mom used to work at before COVID-19. I remember the massage there was so good and it almost healed my migraine. I want to revive that feeling so here it is....

Actually, the salon was not that purplish but my mom loves the colour red, pink, blue, and purple and Mrs. Mcquve made my dream come true with her genius ideas.

Back in the day, we didn't have a pedicure chair, but when Ilenia (Jacky93Sims) made this I was over the moon and I just had to add it.

This lot can actually hold two businesses: clothes and makeovers, but in my gameplay, it's better to switch between two businesses since most customers prefer to buy clothes than have a makeover. To make a business with the massage table I suggest you download this mod so customers autonomously buy your massage service, it will help you with that annoying energy desperation.

When I tested the lot, overall, it is pretty much safe to use however I wanted to make a few notes that I changed Relaxing Teapot behaviour into gaining energy instead of giving comfort and similar ads (TTAB) with this tea set. There will be a game freeze if you keep using the teapot so I suggest you clean the pot and renew the brew. If you installed the pot from original creators you may not receive these changes.

Round 6 - Summer 2 - The Shaw Family

ROS for the Shaws is to have a family game night. Sounds fun (especially as I downloaded some new board games from ATS2 a while ago that I've been itching to try out)!

The round began, as usual, in the early hours of the morning with Henry quietly heading off to his job as a Hazmat Technician with the SimCity Fire Department. He really disliked the early starts, especially as he never got to say goodbye to any of his family before he left, and kept hoping he'd be able to move to a more normal work schedule soon.

Hi bahidkw! I adore the pet defaults so much but I'm having trouble with the ats2's pet bowl & recolor, which appears with a blue tile underneath (instead of reg shadow). I'm unsure if it's my user error or not lol

There's only one type of bed in those pictures, but there's also a crib which might be what you've noticed?

The crib is part of the Tropezienne nursury set from ATS2.

The beds are conversions from TSM by HCove.

I love all the TSM stuff! There's a really nice database of TSM to TS2 conversions on Livejournal :)
