Chapter IV: Training
[pt.1] [pt2] [previous]
Masterlist
Summary: Y/n and Jake Sully. Siblings, shipped off into the depths of space to explore the mysterious world of Pandora.
Tumblr media
The warmth of the morning creeps in through the woven leaves of the tsahik's hut, casting rays of sunlight across my face. The gentle hush of the forest outside, the earthly scent of moss and wood, and the rhythmic beat of my new heart reminds me that I'm still an avatar.
I'm still here.
Still trapped.
The dull throb in my temples has lessened overnight, but it's far from gone. Every movement send a ripple to my head, a cruel reminder of my disconnection to my true body. The woven mat underneath me is unfamiliar, the texture coarse and uneven— so different from the sanitised surfaces I'm used to. I blink away the haze and push myself upright, slowly.
"You're awake." A firm voice hums.
Neytiri steps into the light, holding a bowl and a knowing look in her eyes.
I nod, my mouth dry. "Barely."
She hands me the bowl filled with warm, thick liquid. I eye it sceptically.
"It will help," she says, pressing it into my hands.
With no better options, I drink. The taste is foreign— earthly, bitter, tinged with something sweet— probably medicine. Almost instantly I feel a calm settle in my muscles. The pounding behind my eyes softens, and for the first time in days, I feel like I can breathe.
A silence settles between us as Neytiri looks me up and down, her gaze not judgemental, but calculating.
"You're stuck in this body." she says circling me,.
I nod unsure if it was a question or just a statement she needed to say out loud.
"Tsu'tey will arrive soon," she adds, examining me, "Your training begins."
"I'm not sure I'm ready for this."
Neytiri tilts her head. "Eywa has chosen you. You do not need to be ready. You must be ready."
Before I can respond, the flap of the tent opens again. Tsu'tey enters, posture straight, every step measured. His eyes lock onto mine, unreadable.
"We start now," he says coldly. "Stand."
I rise slowly, the aches in my limbs flaring to life again. Neytiri slips away silently, leaving me alone with the warrior who clearly wants nothing to do with me.
After a moment of his glaring, he gestures toward the forest.
I follow, unsure if I'm walking to a lesson or an execution.
The forest welcomes and rejects me all at once. The colours are brilliant, every leaf and vine pulsing with energy. But the brightness is overwhelming, and my senses— sharpened with this Avatar body— struggle to keep up. Every twig snap, every gust of wind feels amplified, pressing on the edges of my consciousness.
Tsu'tey says nothing for a long time. He moves like he belongs here— silent, precise. I, in contrast, stumble with nearly every step struggling to keep up while adjusting the pieces of cloth Neytiri had dressed me in.
"Balance," he snaps when I trip for the third time on a twisted root. "You are not a child vrrtep."
I grit my teeth and straighten. "I'm trying."
"Trying is not enough." He stops and faces me. "Here, you survive, or you don't. No one will carry you forever." I square my shoulders. "Then teach me. I didn't ask for this body."
He doesn't respond. Just turns and pushes leaves aside, revealing a clearing.
Looking around in awe, I spot what I can only describe as alien horses. Among them, Jake and Neytiri stand next to one of the creatures. I guess this is the first part of training.
"This is a pa'li." Tsu'tey says as he gives the creature a gentle but firm tap on its leg, earning a slight jerk from it. "You must make tsaheylu, so she knows what to do."
"Tsaheylu?" I echo, getting onto the back of the pa'li, adjusting my legs to be either side of the animal.
"Bond. You must feel what she feels, hear what she hears and control what her thoughts successfully so that you do not—"
He's cut off by Jake falling off his pa'li and landing in the mud.
"—fall off," Tsu'tey finishes, looking at Jake.
I grab my queue with unsteady fingers, the tendrils of the pa'li and I pulsing faintly with life. As I bring them to connect, the pa'li shifts from under me, it's flank twitching nervously
Slowly, reverently, I connect the ends of my queue with the tendrils of the creature.
The moment they intertwine, a surge like lightning jolts though my whole body— not pain, not pleasure, but something raw and overwhelming.
My senses, already sharpened with this new body, flare into overdrive. I feel everything. the ground beneath the pali's hooves, soft, damp, alive. The wind rippling across its skin like a whispered prayer. The thunder of its heart, wild and strong echoing against my own chest. We are no longer separate beings. We are one.
Terror crashes into me first— not mine, but the animals. A primal fear, born of instinct and memory. I feel its legs tense with the urge to bolt, muscles coiled like springs. I sense it's confusion, it's vulnerability. But beneath the fear, something else stirs— curiosity.
I steady my breathing, remembering the words Tsu'tey said along with not wanting to face plant like Jake, trying to send a calm message through the link. The pa'li hesitates... then slowly, the tension starts to disappear. The fear doesn't vanish, but it fades into the background replaced by a tentative trust. Our breathing syncs. My limbs feels heavier now, grounded, feeling the weight of the pa'li's legs like they're my own.
"Easy now," I murmur aloud, though the thought is already echoing through our connection. I try to exhale calm, to match it's wild energy with my own.
Tsu'tey watches in silence. "You did not force. You asked, that is the way."
My heart pounds as I guide her forward. She moves— then gallops. My breath catches in joy, laughter slipping from my chest as we charge toward Neytiri and a very muddy Jake.
Looking back at Tsu'tey as he gets on another pa'li, like it was a regular Tuesday catching up to my pa'li and myself. Letting out a little laugh as I near closer to the pair. I've connected with another living being in a way that defies science, logic, even reason. That revelation only makes me more happy that I got it.
"Tsu'tey I'm doing it! Oh fuck," I say stopping by Jake, with Tsu'tey beside me not saying anything but looking at Jake as if he had won a silent battle only they knew was happening.
Tsu'tey starts speaking to Neytiri in Na'vi. She smiles and looks at me.
"Na'vi lesson, soon."
Later that evening, I return to the tsahik's hut, my body aching from more archery and hunting drills and lessons from Tsu'te. Mo'at greets me with a nod, acknowledging my efforts without words. She places a hand briefly on my forehead.
"Still weak. But your spirit is strong."
Jake arrives just as the sun rises, his face lightning up when he sees me sitting with the other Na'vi.
"Look at you," he grins. "Almost like a proper Na'vi."
I chuckle, "Fuck off, where's Neytiri? You've been stuck to here this whole day."
He sits beside me, "She's with Tsu'tey, something about them being future mates," he says with a shrug.
"Hey— I've got something I need to tell you, It's about your body— your human body," he added barely meeting my eyes.
He ran a hand over his face before turning to me. "Your body," he began, slowly, "it's still in the lab. Still alive, but..."
"What Jake? Did something happen—" I say looking at him waiting for him to say something more.
"Your bodies fine Y/n, I just needed to get you away from the people so that I can tell you that" he says but gets cut off by Tsu'tey's booming voice.
"Sully's, time for training."
"You'll tell me later yeah?" I say already running off toward Tsu'tey
Jake tries to stop me— but he doesn't. He doesn't tell me that the RDA is caring for my body now. That their resources— his, Max's, Norm's and Grace's weren't enough. That he had no choice but to accept the looming offer from them.
Tumblr media
Months pass.
Sparring with Tsu'tey in a grassy clearing with other Na'vi doing the same. I'm sweaty, bruised and panting after a low blow to my side. He circles me with that ever-annoying scowl tugging at the corner of his lips.
"Again," Tsu'tey would bark— time and time again.
"You are thinking too much. You must feel, you do not think." His voice would be firm, yet each time less sharp than it used to be.
Still , that didn't make the burn in my arms any less painful. The training was brutal. Everyday brought a new muscle I didn't know existed— now sore, aching, screaming for rest. But quitting wasn't an option.
I wasn't fighting for strength, I was fighting to belong.
And despite his constant critiques and wordless grunts of disapproval, Tsu'tey was still there. Every morning, before the sun even rose fully, he waited for me in the same clearing. And after every night, after one too many lectures about "Holding a tstal like a child," he walked me back to the tsahik's hut, silent but present, for my evaluations.
We didn't talk much, but I noticed when his gaze would slightly linger when I stumbled too hard, the slight tilt of his head when I managed to land a strike, the way he no longer called me demon.
Training wasn't just with Tsu'tey. Neytiri and I had become sisters of sort.
"You hold a bow like a stiff-legged yerik," she would giggle, barely holding in her laughter as I struggled to notch an arrow properly.
"Re'o, 'etnaw, kinamtìl, venzek." she would teach me the na'vi language and incourage me to slowly incorporate them into my sentences.
The lessons with here were.. warm. It was the first time in my life I truly felt what sisterhood could be, racing each other through the branches like children, collapsing into the grass and mimicking Tsu'tey's and Jake's voices behind their backs and burst out laughing till our ribcages hurt, our own inside jokes.
Not everything was light.
At night when the training ended and laughter faded into the hush of night creatures, I felt it— the pain of not being in my human body anymore.
The headaches that never truly leave.
And the weight in my chest.
Jake still hadn't told me what he wanted to. He comes close— almost saying it but always stops short.
"Not now."
"We'll talk later."
"You're tired Y/n. Let's not do this tonight."
I want to trust that it isn't something terrible. I need to trust him.
One evening, Tsu'tey and I lay on the grass. The air is warm humming with the low drone of nocturnal insects waking from slumber, and the distant echoing call of creatures settling into night.
We're side to side, both of us catching our breath after sparring— the kind of brutal, sweat drenched match that usually ended with me on my ass.
But tonight, I won.
I actually beat him. Fair and square.
My arms tremble from the effort, my side stings from where he landed a hard blow enough to bruise, but my chest is full— satisfied, victorious and buzzing with something I can't quite name.
Above us, a glowing atokirina blooms across the night living sky. the faint bioluminescent glow of the leaves sway overhead, casting blue green light across Tsu'tey's face, softening the sharp lines of his features.
Neither of us speaks first.
We've fallen into a rhythm. Moments where words feel too heavy. So we let the silence breathe between us. Let it say things we're still too guarded to say out loud.
Tsu'tey's chest rises and falls steadily beside me. His hands, usually tight fists of discipline and precision, now rest open against the grass, fingers brushing the soft fonds.
"You are strong," he says suddenly, his voice soft but firm. "Stronger than you think,"
I blink, caught off guard. Compliments are rare from him— scarce and hard earned. I glance at him, eyebrows raised in disbelief.
"Is that.. a compliment?" I tease, turning my head toward him. "From you?"
His lips twitch into something like a smirk, but his eyes don't leave the sky above.
"I do not give what is not deserved."
He turns his eyes to meet mine,
"You are ready."

‘Don’t. Don’t bite your lips.’ Miles’ looked into her eyes, his smouldering gaze flickering down to her plum, full lips which were begging to be kissed. The Colonel closed his eyes, inhaled deeply and tried reminding himself that he had made a promise to not touch her without her wish and he would not break the promise no matter how much he wanted to kiss those lovely lips.
Another writer's block conquered.
PS- Should I write some steamy stuff?

Chapter 1: The Birth of Y/n.
Masterlist
Previous: [prologue]
Summary:Despite leaving their homeland, Y/n holds onto her mother's values. However, tragedy strikes with Neteyam's death, shattering Y/n's innocence and sparking a raging fury within her, forever changing her carefree spirit
Tumblr media
But the most dangerous thing about Pandora, is that you may grow to love her too much. We sing the songcords to remember. Each bead, a story in our life. A bead for the birth of our son, Neteyam. A bead for when we adopted our daughter, Kiri. Born of Grace's avatar. A daughter whose conception is a total mystery. A bead for the first communion with Eywa.
The people say, "We live in Eywa, and Eywa lives in us." The great mother holds all her children in her heart.
Neytiri POV
"Breathe ma'ite. You are almost there." Mo'at says as she kneels on the woven mat next to me, her presence strong and encouraging. The fire lit near us flickering across her face, her golden eyes fierce yet tender as she presses a firm hand against my belly, guiding me with her knowledge.
Jake is beside me, his hands gripping mine, his breath uneven, whispering reassuring words in between my groans that escape my lips.
"I'm right here. I've got you."
The elder women of the clan surround us, their voices a gentle hum, their hands soothing against my skin. They've all done this before-- brought life into this before, felt the same fire. I am not alone.
The pain does not care about my thoughts. It consumes me, raw and unyielding as my body trembles. A guttural cry rips from my throat then--
A cry.
High and piercing, fragile and alive.
My chest heaves as I collapse back against Jake, my body shaking, exhausted-- but my heart races for a different reason now. The world slows, my ears ring. Suddenly Mo'at lifts her up so I could see her.
Tiny. Blue and soft. The room goes still as she takes her first breath, her small cries filling the kelku around us like a song.
Mo'at brings her toward my arms, my body moves before my mind can catch up. My hands, still trembling reach for her, pulling her close to my chest. ma'Y/n. My daughter.
"ma'ite..." I whisper as I tune out everyone else and put all my focus on Y/n. Breathing in her scent.
I press my lips to her damp forehead, my tears mixing with the warmth of her skin. She nuzzles into me, her tiny face pressing against my collarbone, her breathing uneven but there. I stare down at her-- the curve of her nose, the shape of her lips, the softness of her ears. She is mine. She is me.
Beside me, Jake lets out a shaky breath, his eyes wide, mouth slightly parted in awe. His hands tremble as they trace the side of her little face. "She's perfect," he whispers, voice raw thick with emotion. Something that the Olo'eyktan doesn't show often.
Then I see it. Her fingers curl against my skin- four small, perfect fingers. Four toes.
Like me.
Like Neteyam.
Tears blur my vision as I cradle her closer, pressing my forehead to hers. She whimpers, her little body shifting in my arms, searching for warmth. My heart swells so much I fear it may burst.
"Oel ngati kameie." I whisper, my voice cracking as I see her-- not just with my eyes, but with my soul.
She stirs, pressing her tiny nose against my skin, nuzzling into me as if she already knows. As though Eywa brought me a a friend that I've known for my whole life.
I laugh-- soft, breathless, overwhelmed with love.
Jake presses a kiss to my temple, his hand cradling both me and our daughter. The warmth of the room, the voices of the people, the heartbeat of the world around us, it all fades. In this moment, it is just us.
Just me and ma'Y/n.
The flap of the kelku rustles and I hear the patter of small feet.
"Sa'nok! Is she here?" Neteyam's voice is high and excited, filled with energy only a five year old can have.
I lift my head as my eldest son runs in, his eyes wide with wonder. Behind him, Kiri and Lo'ak stumble in, their little faces filled with curiosity.
"Come," Mo'at beckons softly, as I shift Y/n in my arms.
Neteyam reaches me first, his big golden eyes locked onto the tiny bundle in my arms. He crouches besides me, his small fingers reaching out hesitantly as he whispers.
"She looks just like you, sa'nok," he said smiling at me, tracing his finger over her cheek. His tail flicking behind him, his ears twitching with excitement.
Kiri steps closer, peering over my arm, her little hands clasp together. "She is so small... like Lo'ak." she whispers with a small as Lo'ak lets out a annoyed huff. Then her eyes flick to Y/n's hands, and her brows furrow. "She has four fingers too, like you and 'Teyam."
Lo'ak curiously squeezes in between them, peering at his new sister. "Why does she have four fingers, but me and Kiri has five?" he asks inoccently tilting his head. "Is she like sempu?"
Jake chuckles from beside me, ruffling Lo'ak's braids. "You and Kiri are like me, and Neteyam and Y/n are like your sa'nok.
Neteyam beams with pride, puffing out his tiny chest, "That means she's like me!" He grins, looking down at Y/n with even more excitement. "She's my tsmukU!"
I watch as my children take turns touching Y/n's tiny hands, whispering soft greeting to her, welcoming her into our world. My heart swells at the sight-- my family, all together, surrounding this little life Eywa has blessed us with.
Kiri rests her head against my arm, staring at her new sister with quiet admiration. "She looks just like you, sa'nok." she murmurs, her voice soft with wonder. "She has your face."
I smile, brushing my fingers over Y/n's cheek. "She is a gift from Eywa."
Lo'ak giggles suddenly, leaning in close to his sister. "She's so tiny!" He pokes at her little toes, making her stir slightly in my arms. "I think she likes me already."
Neteyam huffs, crossing his arms. "She likes me more." he insists, his tail flicking as he stares down at her protectively. "I will always protect her."
My heart clenches at the twos words, at the love in their young voices.
"She will need all of you," I say gently, looking at each of my children. "She will need her brothers and her sister. You must always be there for her, always keep her safe."
Jake reaches over, wrapping an arm around all of them. "We will." he says, "She is a Sully. Sully's stick together."
My eyes fall to Y/n, still pressed against my chest, her small body rising and falling with each breath. She is so peaceful, so perfect. A gift from Eywa herself.
"Ma'ite," I whisper. "You are home."

THE BARREN LANDS | AVATAR FANFIC
Miles x Reader
All my fanfics are 18 plus only
Tumblr media
CHAPTER FIVE
You awoke just before dawn, just before the sun will break over the sandy lands and bring its heat. You turned to face the male who slept a few feet away from you and moved over to wake him.  You both would need to get a move on, you could smell the wind changes and soon this area will be caught in sand storms. You moved your hand to wake the male but jumped startled when his bright green eyes opened and laid attentive on you.
You both paused amber meeting green.
Like a sun meeting freshly bloomed sprouts.
"'Come, time to move on."' You whispered to the male before climbing out of the den gathering your things. He didn't take long and did not make a sound as you both geared up to leave. You noticed his bare feet and wondered where his weird feet hidings were. To your shock he didn't seem bothered about them and he focused on getting sand out of his lower garments and hood.
"'Come"' You told him again ready to take the lead but when you turned to face him you paused. He was holding his strange noisy weapon in his hands. A distant look in his eyes as he looked at it.  Your ears twitched and you felt a sense of pity for him. Did he miss his clan? What had happened to them? Was he truly banished or was he just lost? You wish he spoke in your tongue, you craved answers to your questions.
"'Come!"' you beckoned the male again and he looked up at you from the weapon before glancing down and squatting down by the hole. You gave him a confused glance as you watched him slide it under the rocks into the soon to be abandoned den. Your ears perked and your eyes widened at him as his face seemed to be full of emotion. A silent battle going through it as he stood up and looked at you. He began to walk over, and it was like you could see something change within him.
"'come"" you softly told him to pull him along, you noticed how he looked as if he wanted to say something but was unsure.
"'I follow you."' You spoke to him, placing a hand to his chest making a gesture of him following you.
You noticed a slight quirk of his lips and his tail swayed some as his ears perked up.
"'I follow you."' He repeated back to you.
and Miles did.
For next few months he followed you through the lands, learning what you taught him and adapting to the lands harsher climate.
Hunting had become his favorite thing to do again, and it turns out you both made quite a team in hunting.
He moved quickly to the flank side of a herd of camels like horses. He could hear your call from the otherside. He go ready as he made a call back.
The heads of the beasts moved trying to see what made the noise, it wouldnt matter as miles heard another one of you calls before the animals went into a panic and frenzy to run. Miles pushed himself to run on the other side forcing them to panic and run back towards you, his eyes scanned the heard ears flickering around until he saw it. The inner circle where the young and weak stayed hidden from predators. He broke through into the circle breaking them apart from the herd, He learned to let the young ones flee and hunt down the slowest adult and which he did by chasing it from the herd.
He saw a flash of grayish blue skin come from his right and watched as the animal was shoved into the sand from the sudden attack. Your teeth bared and your dagger struck down deeply into its chest. The animals panting soon died and so did its pain. You both painted from the hunt but silence surrounded you both, Miles moved to you placing a hand over yours on your dagger. He could see in his peripheral vision you looking at him. He moved his forehead to the animal and he could see a sense of pride come over you as you then moved to do the same.
"'May eywa be with you."' Miles spoke to the dead beast, thanking it for its life to continue his own and yours as well as the food it will provide for a while.
"'May eywa be with you."' Your voice echoed your own thanks. You moved away, removing your dagger before handing it to him.
"'You prepare the food."' You told him before getting up to go scavenge up some sticks.
Miles made a noise of amusement and moved to get the meal you both would share prepared. When you arrived you sat by him spearing cuts of meat onto the sticks which then you moved to dry on hot rocks for the sun to dry out.
Miles prepared the bit you both were to eat in a skull bowl mixing the raw meat with spiced bark roots you had showed him to find in the last oasis you both found roughly a few months ago if he was reading the full moons correctly that is. Once he saw you place the last stick of cut meat to dry out on the rocks he made a noise to call you over.
He watched as you moved to sit in front of him as he moved the skull bowl in the middle of you both.
He waited for you to grab the first bite, starting the meal but you only stared at him…He felt a sense of surprised as he gestured to himself as in to say 'me?'. You simply  gave him a court nod and Miles felt a strong sense of pride as he grabbed the first bite, he brought the spiced blood piece of meat to his lips and slid it into his mouth where it continued to watered closing his eyes he savored its taste. The taste of iron with a twang of the spices  settled on his tongue causing a groan to leave him as he began to chew the soft tender meat. Swallowing he opened his eye to see you amber ones watching him a small smile on your face. Miles grinned back before pushing rhe bowl towards you. The pride filling him as he finnaly told you to
"'eat."'
You both enjoyed yalls meal together, savoring each bite of cut meat. Miles looked over at you, at your fram and at your tail. He noticed a long while ago you didn't need water as much as him nor food, while it was welcomed you could go long periods of time without both. He noticed when you had too, due to him being clumsy in hunting your frame would lose inches from your hefty build and your tail would thin down. He now caught on to why your tail was so much thicker than his, and it reminded him of certain animals he's heard about from earth. A possum being one of them. Possums could store benefitting fat and protein in their tails, when they were forced to go a while without food that fat and protein would be broken down by its body to continue to 'feed' the animal's body, this caused their tails to go thin until they could find a sourceable food.
Now that he was no longer like a child in hunting he didn't see your body's frame thin down and how your tail stayed thicker and healthier. It filled him with a sense of pride and a responsibility to make sure you were well taken care of as well. He made sure to provide you food and offered sips of his water anytime he got a drink.
He watched you lick droplets kf blood from your lips as you bite into another fingerfull of meat. He felt a surge go through him and his tail swayed as you ate the meal you both hunted and shared.
'beautiful.' He thought as he stared at you. He then shook his head pushing the thought away and focused on eating.
You both would be staying here long and would need to get a move on to find shelter. He looked over at the rocks where the meat was drying out. He could build a den  underneath one of them for you both to sleep in for the night.  He looked at you, the woman who saved him and was teaching him how to survive out here, he had a strong sense of respect for you now….and yet….
"'What is…your"' He began and paused, catching your attention…He didn't know how to say that word and it frustrated him.
"'Who..are..you?"' He spoke slowly but it was more with care since he didn't want you to misunderstand him, he had messed up words which caused you to whack him more harshly. You had been so flustered then and hewad confused on what he had said to cause you to be so embarrassed…He didnt want to makr that mistake again.
Your ears perked up as you stared at him, swallowing your bite.
"'I am (y/n) (l/n) daughter of Aryina." You told him proudly.
"'y/E"' He repeated, causing you to make a noise.
"'y/n" You spoke slowly to him, pronouncing your name again.
"'y/n.."' He said once again earning a nod from you. He smiled to himself as he bit into a piece of meat savoring your name in his mind before swallowing.
"'And your name?"' You asked him, he grinned at you.
"'Miles Quaritch son of…"' His smile faltered….Did his human life parents….mother mostly still counted? What of his father? Was he still the son of Mrs and Mr.Quaritch? Were they ever told of his death and did they even care? Was he still the son of the abusive controlling drunk and the son of a naive loving and caring woman? Even if that woman considered him dead when he beat that no good bastard down in the backyard of his old childhood home for putting his hands on his momma after she found him laying in her bed with some whore?......That woman chosed that no good drunk over him and kicked him to the streets…He was lucky when a recruiter of the marines found him and gave him a bed to sleep and a place to eat….But now here he was in front of you eatting rawed spiced meat frozen in place.
"'Miles?"' Your voice held worry in as you placed a hand on his calf. It caused him to jump and look at you..
"'....Miles Quaritch…Son of no one." He told you staring into those pretty amber eyes of yours.
He could see sadness fill them as you comfort him But he ignored it and continued to eat.
No. He wasn't the son of that drunken bastard and fool of a woman, He would be nothing like them, He was nothing like his old man. He wasn't ever drunk, he stayed away from it, only having an occasional glass of whiskey.
As he chewed he thought of his son…The memories of him finding out that he had a child and how he always neglected to be there came to him. He knew in his past life he had in fact loved his son, But clearly not enough to be in that son's life. While he was quietly eating Miles thought back on the few months he had his son as a hostage…How they bonded even though he flat out told the kid he was not technically his father…But he had craved to be a father for the boy. Miles always wanted a family..He had wanted a wife and a child or two…And yet when he was Colonel Miles Quaritch when his son's mother Paz had told him she was pregnant and that spider was his son. He had ignored her, Not at all getting involved with something he always had wanted. He didn't even go to his son's birth nor paid the child any mind. And the times he did spend time with the child, it was mostly forced by Paz needing a sitter for a few hours and even then he pawned the toddler off to other soldiers or workers too busy to focus on his own son. He may have not been an abusive alcoholic like his old man, but he was a piece of shit father. And while The boy was no longer technically h i s child, he had wanted to be the boy's father. A father that spider could look up too and feel pride in knowing where he came from.  While Miles knew that if he was still human, his past life, He was told he was going to be killed and then Paz would die leaving his kid orphaned and stranded on this planet parentless…He knew he wouldn't have faltered in going into battle. He would've gone to his war to find Jake sully and kill him, No matter if what he was told was true or not……Guess he hasn't changed too much in that aspect. He should've grabbed him..He should've grabbed a spider and fled with the boy. He shouldn't have even given the spider the chance to take off and flee to Jake Sully…He could be here..right now…With you and his son enjoying this meal together..
Miles looked at you as you kept giving him worried glances…Would you have accepted his son like you had him?
"'I have a s-"'
"'SH!"' you cut him off, ears twitching and you turned your head. He suddenly became alert listening as well.
They were silent…almost too silent but he heard them, the softest touch of footsteps crunching in the sand. Miles shot you a look and you both moved quickly dodging as your attackers flew back into the sand.
You moved in front of him in a stance holding you daggers and hissing, baring you fangs at the attackers. Miles kept an eye on them his own daggers in hand.
Two other na'vi scrambled up, hissing back loudly. A male and female, the male standing protectively in front of the female, she must've been his mate. Though she smelt off…Miles nose flared as he could s m e l l something off of the female navi but he wasn't sure what it was. He scanned her form not seeing injury but she smelt off.
"'If you wish to keep your son, You will do best to leave!"' Y/n Hissed at the two, your threatening stance unwavering.
Miles eyes slightly widen and he looked for a child, though he did not see any child with the two…Did they hide the child before attacking? The other female hissed back and her mate growled.
"'You have all this food Yet I do not smell no son in you!"' The other female hissed back Her mate silently watching read for an attack or to attack.
"Its is OUR catch, Not one for you to steal."' y/n Snapped at them…
Oh…the female was pregnant….
……OH…..
Miles was thrown off as he now realized why the other female smelt so weirdly. He could smell that she was with child….That was really fucking wierd. His eyes snapped to the other male who had been staring at him, before the male's eyes lowered down to you. The male began to steadily move closer and Miles felt a deep feeling burn in his chest.
'"Then you are not mated to this man?"' The male questioned, eyeing you.
Miles' ears slicked back his tail snapping through the air harshly.
'Oh fuck no.'
A deep low guttural growl rippled through his body, causing you, the male and the other female to jump in surprise. He saw your head turn to look at him in surprise, an unreadable look in your eyes but his attention was fully on the other male.
The growl moved from his lower abdomen up his throat before he bared his teeth letting out a deadly hiss as he stood fully up, He towered the other male by at least another head high and he moved in front of you, stalking towards him causing both the male and female to back up. Another guttural growl rippled through miles as he stood protectively in front of you, dagger twirling in his hand.
"'I'll be nice and say this once…Then I won't be." He growled out to the other male. "" Best  move on."' He snarled at both of them.
The male's mate, pregnant or not, If he dares to even Look at you the way he did again, Miles would gladly rip his eyes out and gut him like a fish.
The male backed away back closer to his mate much to miles liking. The further away from you the better.
The female stared at him, eyes moving to his hands and a look of disgust burned onto her face.
"'You paired with One of those aliens?!"' While her wording was quick and some words he didn't quite catch he could see the confusion on your face.
"'Alien?'" He could hear the confusion in your tone.
"'HE'S PART OF THE SKY DEMONS!"' The woman hissed a hand moving to point at him.
"LOOK AT HIM, AT HIS HANDS. HE IS THE SAME AS THEM, THE MONSTERS WHO ATTACK US. KILL US! STRIVES TO KILL  EYWA! And you STAND BESIDE HIM!"' the female yelled in pain and anger in her voice. The male quickly looked at him again and more recognition formed on his face before hissing at him. Miles only growled back warning the fucker to stay back.
He could hear a growl leave your own throat. though he couldn't see your face and he didn't dare to take his eyes off the two to look at you. He only caught on to a few words but he was sure they told you of his comings.  What he was, where he really came from.
Your form moved beside him, and you hissed loudly at the other pair.
"' He Is part of my own!"' Your snarled hissing. You had begun to advance towards him and miles followed your lead. The two seemed to keep moving away.
"'His blood to me is worth far more than yours."' You snarled once again, before you lunged at them, Miles following in suit.
The battle didn't last very long, while both parties earned their own new fresh scars and bruises, the attackers suffered great loss. Whole you lunged at the male and prepared to throw you back, but you moved quicker, sliding between his legs to his mate. Before he could attack you Miles had already advanced on him, punching the absolute shit out of him and moving into beating him. Miles was experienced in his past lives memories, he had decades of experience in fighting, in stopping a man's heart beat. He didn't play by the na'vi rules, he played dirty. When the male had focused on him and tried to get the upper hand miles slung sand into his eyes and swung for the throat knocking the male to the ground choking up blood. He straddles the male's stomach and begins punching his head down hissing as each punch echoed crackling noises. The male hands went flying hitting, clawing him back anything to knock him off, but miles had the upper hand.
The fighting had come to a stop when a loud terrified shrill of a female squilled out. Both males freezed attention falling to the females that stood several feet away.  Miles watched as your dagger pulled away from the other's stomach and a large gash cut deeply into her. You bare your teeth and kick the female to the sand snarling.
The male from under miles began to panic, failing and shouting to the other female as she curled into herself trying to protect her womb.
Miles saw how deadly your eyes were as you hissed at the wounded female, your voice dripped a venom that caused his own chest to seize up with fear.
"'May eywa be with them."' You snarled as the female weeped out pained terrified noises.  The male broke free from miles hold, rushing past you straight to his mate trying to comfort. He proceeded to quickly get her up over his shoulders and pushing away a fear burning in both of the stray na'vis eyes.
Once they were out of sight those deadly sharp bright amber eyes burned into his own head. He had always thought Mrs. Sully was absolutely terrifying…Being the one who killed him and traumatized him, But as he stared into the eyes of a wolf who felt no regret in possibly killing its unborn child, Mrs.sully was a mere bobcat.
"'You. will.explain."' You hissed at him charging towards him causing him to scramble back falling into the sand.
He took that back. Mrs.sully was a mere house cat compared to you…
He scrambled to find words but they died down as he felt fear seize him again as you were in front of him snatching his hand, his five fingered hand, a burning rage, a furious fire burned in those gorgeous amber eyes as you hissed at him.
"'Explain!!!"' You snarled.
'This woman if absolutely fucking terrifying…' Miles thought as his tail swayed at her.
His heart froze in fear, but his tail swayed with excitement.
'She would make a terrifying protective mother for spider…' a bad timing intrusive thought plagued him as his green eyes stayed locked with burning amber.

New hair for my Treeya baby~!
Say goodbye to the high ponytail and hello to a more practical style that would be more comfortable on the kuru and fit her “motherly-big sister” personality.
