The beach plus football in the summer were some of JD's favorite things. So he immediately knew he'd find himself tossing the old pig skin around with some people. Figuring maybe they could even get a game going at some point, depending on how many of them were game for it. "Hey Alec!" JD said as he arrived, holding his hands up for the other to toss him the ball.

Walking through the holiday market, Theo ran into so many familiar faces. Being able to catch up with friends, both old and new, was something he always enjoyed. Especially during the holidays when things got crazy and hectic, having some time off for some fun, food, and shopping, was just what he wanted. Plus the food at these holiday markets in Merrock was always top notch. After breaking away from Winnie and the kids who were so busy with shopping, Theo perused the different food booths, seeing what piqued his interest. Hopping on one of the lines, he saw Alec standing by. Wanting to make a little small talk, Theo struck up the conversation. "What's your favorite holiday time food?"

"Glad to know it's not just me then," Rory replied with a bit of a laugh. She was definitely not a stupid person so she felt better knowing she wasn't the first and probably wouldn't be the last person to get turned around in East Haven. "I sure hope so, especially since I plan to stay for a while. Or at least that's my plan for now." She replied, emphasizing that last word. As of right now she was all settled in at her uncle Andrew's apartment living with her brother, so unless something major happened, she planned on sticking around. "Oh I see, well then, if you truly wanna kill some time, you could tell me what you know about this place," suggesting, though she only meant it jokingly unless he really wanted to. Extending a hand, she then replied, "nice to meet you Alec Kincade, I'm Rory Jackson." @alecxkincade

"I know, we get that a lot by people who visit and people who moved here. Don't worry, in time you will get use to it and you will be giving directions to someone new," he replied with a smile on his face. "I don't mind at all. You are actually helping me because am buying some time before I picked up my son from his aunt place," he added ensuring her that it was fine and he did not mind at all. "I am Alec Kincade by the way." @auroraxjackson

Mena shot Alec a look aa he shrugged his shoulders. "Dude," she shook her head before laughing and putting her hands up, "okay, okay. And yes I am here to help." She nodded before agreeing, "that's a good starting place. Mom is always someone to start with when shopping."

When Mena asked who was on his buy list and what he was looking to purchase for them, Alec offered up nothing more than a shrug and lost expression. "That point of you being here's to help," he laughed, he shook his head. "Should probably start with my mom.. the guys in the band.." he thought aloud. At least it was a starting point.

Smiling at the other, she got a sense that he really did like to help people. "Yeah, who knew such a small town could get someone turned around this much," she said with a nervous chuckle. She was out of her element to say the least, being in a small town in general was odd since she had lived her whole up until this passed year in such a large city. "That would be great, though I don't want to make you go out of your way." The last thing she would ever want to do was make someone go out of their way just top help her get back to her hotel. @alecxkincade

"It's no bother at all. I always like helping people, especially find their way. I have been in your position so many times, getting lost especially in a new place," he spoke with a smile on his face. It was the truth that Alec did like helping people, one of the reasons he became a doctor. "Sure, I can walk you there if that's okay? I know sometimes giving directions can make things even confusing," he added chuckling softly. @auroraxjackson

Though Mena wasn't exactly the best at planning things, or getting an early jump on things, this year she happened to have gotten her Christmas shopping started and nearly finished by the time the market started. She had already gotten Mateo his gifts, along with gifts for her friends, she didn't need to get anything for her family as she hasn't spoken with them in years anyway. After hearing Alec still needed to do his shopping, she decided she drag him along to finish what she needed to.

"Absolutely," she said as she looked at him, "so who is on your list and what specifically do you need for them?"

At some point during the week, Alec had let it slip that he had yet to even begin Christmas shopping. He should have known better, as he was scolded by coworkers almost immediately. It was just Alec's nature, leaving everything to the last minute. However, it was wound up with an offer from Ximena to go shopping with him, so maybe it wasn't all bad.

"Alright, you got me here, ready to go find some gifts?" he chuckled, scanning the market around them, then looking back at Mena.

"Nice, and yeah I think that's what I'm gonna have. Always seems to be a good bet." Theo nodded, appreciative of any and all recommendations from fellow Merrockites. "I think so, every year it seems to have a ton of great stuff. How about you? FInd anything good to buy?"

Alec nodded when Theo seemed to appreciate the recommendations. "That's what I'm doing," at least where he was starting with food for the day. "You been enjoying the market?"

Looking at the menu, Theo couldn't figure out what he was going to order. So he hoped that the answer Alec gave would spark something in him and help him decide. As Alec answered ham, Theo thought for a moment and re-read the menu, seeing if ham was on there. "Hm, that is a good choice. Hell of a lot better than the fish they sometimes serve right?"

Alec was out and about, taking advantage of the Winter Market for food and shopping more than anything. He was in line for food when he came across Theo. As the older man made conversation, Alec took a moment to ponder the question. "It's gotta be ham, right?"

"True," he thought, his family, definitely had their thing. Thankfully something he had been able to avoid since he moved out. Despite loving to fish and love eating fish, for some odd reason he always hated the seven fishes people would serve on Christmas. He didn't know why and he never cared enough to figure it out. "Any recommendations are always welcomed. Hm, pulled pork sounds good, always a good choice in my book."

"Every family's got their own thing," Alec shrugged, not quite sure if Theo was referencing the regional love for seafood, aware that it was a common cultural Christmas dinner option for some as well. Glancing over at the menu ahead, Alec proceeded with making recommendations, "if you're talking here, the pulled pork is good."
