I think it's such an interesting facet of Noelle's character that, regardless of whatever route you choose these past few chapters, Noelle just instinctively knows that Kris is "off".

She tries to downplay their childhood together to not seem odd to Susie but then she hears the slightest hitch in their voice and knows something completely different from their norm happening. It's not just a coping mechanism in Snowgrave-- it's an objective fact that Noelle can take one goddamn LOOK at Kris and know something is deeply wrong in her gut and that's so cool.

I’m rewatching the companions’ breakup/makeup dialogue like “they would not ****ing be that emotionally mature”:

Preston should give an over-rehearsed spiel and then completely withdraw. Just be 100% emotionally unavailable for in-game weeks.

Piper should be wittily avoiding her feelings (and trying to spare yours) until it’s unclear whether she’s taking this seriously at all.

Hancock should be suave but quietly paranoid you’re going to forget him and find someone whole.

Curie should be completely incapable of setting boundaries with you, and/or cry a lot.

MacCready should unfavorably compare you to his wife.

Cait should imply that she’s going to get back into drugs or worse, to see if you care enough to stop her.

Danse should be panicking and aggressive because he feels like he’s losing the only proof his life has value.

And Gage should cuss you out to convince himself he never cared that much anyway.

Panther Solo II, 1989. After abandoning the 2-seat 1.6 litre Solo because of fears it would be uncompetitive against the then new Toyota MR2, Panther set to work on a larger, more up-market car. It was powered by the 1,993 cc turbocharged DOHC 4 cylinder engine from the Ford Sierra RS driving all 4 wheels. The wheelbase of the original Solo was expanded to turn the car into a 2+2. Alas there were problems with the car and at most 25 were made before the project was abandoned. As of 2020, 11 examples survive in the UK, with all but one listed as SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification, to legally notify the government that the vehicle will not be driven on public roads).

Rune is going to be my character for the new campaign my Monday group is starting!!! (RIP Kiran, who I never got to show off on this blog because he was a Tabaxi, a Dragonborn, and a Thri-Kreen. I'll miss it. Bugs and kisses.) We're playing Heckna! which is a Domain of Dread-adjacent horror-comedy campaign. The entire party is very macabre, and we should fit right in! (But hopefully not too much...)

Anyways, more about Rune. She's a changeling college of dance bard (a new subclass with the 2024 rules, kind of like a combo between a monk and a bard), and they used to be an acrobat at a circus. Since whatever world this party came from is clearly some kind of grimdark dark fantasy setting, the circus itself certainly had its eerie moments. (And of course, it was a magic circus.) When he wasn't up on the high wire, Rune also dabbled in doing tarot card readings for the circus guests, lying through her teeth about their pasts and futures. (While they used their true changeling form while performing in the big top, she used a specific guise when she did the readings, an older woman who used a different name.)

Rune carries with them a porcelain mask, largely featureless, but gilded with gold. When among people who do not know his changeling identity, she pretends that the mask is the source of her ability to change shape, putting it on every time they shift forms.

i would like to hear your deeper thoughts on mystic flour's DoB story, if you have any

Not really much for me to say tbh. It wasn't anything we didn't already know. It was nice to see Cloud Haetae's mom. Mystic Flour's new sprite is very pretty (more Disheveled Beasts please!). But... what else was there, really? We already know why Mystic Flour corrupted. There was nothing new, not really. So I'm disappointed, just like I am with Burning Spice's story. Why couldn't they have shown us a moment where they were full-tilt into the Virtue business? Or the very first moment where they started having doubts? You know what I mean? Give me something to actually chew on.

But everyone else seems content being told the same thing twice so I guess it's just me and like a couple of my friends who are feeling let down lol
