Hi, Readers :). Let's take a quick refresher on puns, InshaaAllah إن شاء الله (God willing). A pun is a figure of speech (literary device). It is "a humorous play on words". It is also a form of comedy. Puns are intended to make readers laugh. Seasoned writers use words in an innovative, amusing, and tricky fashion to craft the perfect pun. They often employ homophones (words that are pronounced the same) and homonyms / homographs (words that are spelled the same but have different meanings and origins). A person who makes puns is called a "punster" or "punner".
