Smaller headcanons!:

- Human Dream has some sort of skin condition due to being trapped in stone. He doesn't want the public to know of any "weaknesses" of his so he hides it behind layers of makeup and clothing, the former of which often only makes it worse. To help with it he bathes regularly, occasionally using one of the plethora of medicinal bathbombs and soaps that blue buys him (he feels guilty about wasting his money).

- Human Nightmare has long hair, Human Dream has short hair. (we know why the latter is, though, don't we Helen~)

- Human Cross is albino! So is human Epic! Albino besties!!! They bond over it, one red eyed, the other purple.

- Human Epic has long, stark white braided hair, it reaches his ankles and is So pretty when he moves, the top of it is all cut up boyishly, so it looks like the braid is coming out of nowhere.

- Human Ink is intersex, usual ink is Definitely intersex so, why wouldn't human him be, too?

- The dreamtale twins' eyes can also turn to star shapes, much like blue's. They get that from him.

- The twins aren't identical twins. Bone structure wise they are carbon copies (of blue and each other), but appearance wise, especially as humans, they don't look all That alike.

- Dream has joint issues from being stuck in stone, and he loses the ability to properly grip things randomly and has to just wait for it to pass.

- Dust is probably selectively mute.

- Cross definitely has some form of psychosis, you don't see your dad somehow know everything about you and everyone else and be low-key an omnipotent god without developing Some kind of paranoia about being watched (will have a follow up post later... Probably)

- After blue decided to parent adult twins (god knows they need it) he began learning Spanish to better talk to them. Having had no one genuinely care for them for so long, (people always hated nightmare and everyone always wanted something from dream), it shocked both of them.

- Blueberry sans is an outcode, as his entire existence came about solely due to people's misconceptions about blue and he Is very much just a child. The love of the people around him, (the ones there initially when he first popped into existence, aka, his original caretakers. Not the Entire multiverse is affected) is dependent on the fandom's view of him. So if the fandom loves him, he gets doted on. But if the fandom hates him..

Yeah.. as far as he's aware, one day he woke up and everyone hated him and didn't tell him why. It really fucked him up. He's convinced that if he could just Know what it is he messed up, if he could just be Good enough, fix it, everything will go back to normal (it won't) and people won't hate him anymore.

- Both human twins have freckles from being in the sun so much, however nightmare's can't be seen due to being under the corruption, and dream's have faded from being in stone.

- The twins can both sense the emotional intention of man-made things, and the emotions associated with them. If they enter a room, they can tell if it bore positive or negative memories, same with foods, objects, etc.

So when nightmare first ate a homemade meal made by blue, cooked specifically for Him, he nearly choked on the amount of pure Love poured into it.

Love.. for Him.

- Swap sanses tend to be a bit taller than classics, and swap papyri shorter than classic papyri.

- Passive probably got chased by some drunk young mens' hunting dogs once.

- Cross likes and listens to lofi music.

- On cross's bad days, his hands shake in the kitchen because he's getting water without permission.

- Cross has no concept of weekends, as every day is a weekday for him. XGaster didn't even let him Know such a thing existed until he was school age, at which point the man had no choice but to tell him.

- Epic buys multi-coloured bandaids instead of the brown beige ones. It's to add a sense of silliness and whimsy to his life, yes, but it's also to help (force) cross to get back small bits and pieces of the childhood he'd never had.

- Sometimes cross says no to epic asking to kiss him because he doesn't feel like he's earned it that day.

- Ink's body runs so cold your fingers will go numb if you hold his hand for too long.

- Error is the opposite, worst case scenario, cuddling him gives you first degree burns, so layer up, babe.

- Nightmare is cold in the way something that may or may not be wet is cold, it's like, Really confusing for your senses to touch him.

Like slime,,, iykyk.

- Dream in warm like sunlight, just enough to be comforting, Very nice to be felt, to be around.

- Shattered is Hot (ha, we been knew 😏) no but seriously, he's hot in the way magma is hot; Thick like lava and dripping very slowly.

I know I'm reeeeally late to the party, but I just finished Diablo 4 and I have… questions. First of all, the game looks incredible, and I loved the aesthetics, the scenery, the character designs—they were all really well done. However, the story felt a bit "meh."

Since Diablo 3 (or maybe even 2—tbh I really don't remember D2 lore; it's been ages since I've played), the story kept showing us how Heaven, source of light and good, doesn't care about humans or anything related to them, that they just mind their own business with Hell. They see humans as abominations since they have the darkness in them too. Again since D3, there's been this yin-yang situation going on, especially seen with Inarius and Lilith. Inarius is an angel corrupted by darkness, mostly by hatred, and Lilith is the daughter of hatred "corrupted" by love and care. She was a mother, maybe not the best for sure, but it really looked like she cared when her son got killed. Especially since Inarius was the killer and his reason was so fucking stupid. He really thought killing his son would get his ass back to heaven- i can't with this man... We see more humanity in Lilith than any other "villain" we've had so far, I believe. I'm not saying she's perfect of course, her ways were brutal obviously but she only talks about giving people the freedom to do whatever, suggests that they're free to do sin but never really gives any details on what a sin is. In the end it's the people choosing to do evil. She's saying that no religion, especially one following a corrupted angel, can show them the way to live and act. AND SHE WAS RIGHT! But why was she doing all this? What was in it for her? Did she just want to send a big "fuck off" to both Heaven and Hell, or was she craving power and wanted to be the sole ruler?

That's my biggest issue with the main story. We never get to learn. We were never given a chance to really talk and consider her points, which mostly made sense, btw. But instead, for some reason, we were considering more of what Mephisto, a damn Prime Evil, had to say? Like I said, the story so far had a yin-yang theme, so I thought we would dive deeper into this with less prejudice, but it felt so superficial, unlike the theme itself. Because it was literally just Lilith = bad while everything about her was mostly gray. And I think they wasted a lot of potential there :/

so in brief, spide.rs don't perceive the world in the same way as humans. and even amongst arachnids, this can vary, but basically their 'fps' is higher. this means that they can track fast-moving prey and respond almost instantly. and all because time itself may feel slowed down when things move quickly, as spiders process visual data in a rapid fashion.

(i'm gonna leave the importance of vibrations out of this for now, but as a quick refresher, therein lies the reason for my migue.l's aversion to physical touch -- he detects a lot, like heartbeat, the rhythm of a person's breathing, etc. it's overload for him!)

SO!!! how exactly would this translate for migue.l? what does it mean?

for one, he'd have an expanded bandwidth, enabling him to pick up on a raft of more smells, sights, cues from the world around him! it also factors into his reflexes, as his brain is capable of processing information far faster

but!!! ☝️ there is a catch

he risks getting used to this heightened state. meaning that, a normal pace (read, a human pace) would seem sluggish. conversations may lag. mundane tasks might irritate. this, of course, will all depend on who he is around, but something to consider if he exhibits any kind of snappy temperament!

and we're not done connecting the dots yet, folks! like the roots of a tree, this thing is spreading out!

remember his photophobia? how things like bright and/or flickering lights, loud alarms, fireworks, can overwhelm his system? well here's what can also come out of this, when he's not stumbling around, blinded by the light; vertigo, bouts of aggression (!!!), or even shutting down to protect neural bandwidth.

all of which is involuntary! decided by his own body, rather than the man withering way within... 💀

something that could(?) also be considered for this, that I have only just now realised; given his altered sense of perception and time, this could also mean if he gets hit hard enough, or suffers a concussion, it'd take him longer to recover. 🤔 seconds may loop from his perspective, and as he tries to unscramble his mind, his own body may start moving on instinct, even whilst remaining consciousness

and the long term effects of this could be vital to know, too!

it may transpire that he struggles to remember certain conversations, faces, or events that weren't tied to adrenaline spikes. which can also carry over into self care, like remembering to eat sometime, or dosing himself with the nutrients his body needs, only to suffer when he fails to do either task 😔

hence also why we see his impatience flare at times, or how he may be inclined to avoid crowds or certain environments if he has a choice (the suit can help with this!)

so yeah, all in all, let this poor man find moments of true peace, be it alone in his laboratory, or just chilling with some wildlife, he'll take solace in moments that don't require words at all <3

Today is…

Today didn’t even feel real

I remember being there shortly after the surprise announcement of the direct yesterday and joking about the potential for a new rhythm heaven game, saying things like “Manifesting a new rhythm heaven!!!! This is your LAST CHANCE NINTENDO >:)”

However, I have already accepted a long, long time ago that a new rhythm heaven will likely never come out. Many a time did young Elleon, at the peak of her rhythm heaven obsession, eagerly watch to see news of her favorite obscure little game series getting a new installment somehow, but equally have many directs come and gone without even a mention of it.

Although she still kept hope in her heart that one day, new content would release and she would have more to obsess over, slowly she started to be alright with it. Megamix seemed like the perfect send off to the series, being a compilation of (mostly) the best mini games. If final remix was to be seen as the final remix of the series as a whole, it would have been the perfect one, featuring the title themes of all the games that came before it (a detail that has, admittedly, made her cry before).

Though the series has relatively little to offer, the impact it made on her life is indescribable. The quirky minigames, cheerful songs, and whimsical characters were what kept her spirits up during a dark period in her life. No matter how bad things got, she always relied on watching her favorite minigames and remixes to cheer her up. It allowed her to develop her love for rhythm games and through that, she was able to meet many wonderful people. It revitalized her interest in creating things. It wasn’t a problem if the games were lacking any deep or complex characters, she was content with making up her own stories and interpretations of them. It was thrilling to take what little lore the games had and explore the implications of it. It was even more thrilling to share it with others.

All in all, to her, the four games were enough. They were enough to change her life’s trajectory and enough to sustain her obsession. This sentiment was felt even stronger as her fixation faded away and she became more of a casual fan. Not making as much content herself as before, but still enjoying the works the others have made.

And now cut to today, in the middle of a crowded table surrounded by friends. As soon as that familiar dialogue sound effect was heard, I screamed. I screamed not only because one of my favorite game series was getting a new game in over ten years, but also because it had just felt like the impossible just became possible. Would my excitement been even more powerful if this was 3 or 4 years ago? Definitely. However, even hours after the initial rush of excitement, my heart burns with such warm happiness I have not felt in a long while.

I remember a moment when little Elleon, after having finished a drawing of cosmic girl, started to smile and hug the paper tenderly to her chest. Although the drawing itself was quite amateurish and perhaps even juvenile, it was a drawing she made all by herself of a character from a game she adored so deeply. That was all that mattered to her in that moment. However, she suddenly stopped. She realized that one day, she might forget about how much she loved the series, only remembering it as a cringe memory. It may even come to a point that if a new game were to release, she wouldn’t even care in the slightest.

Little Elleon, I am happy to say that you are sorely mistaken.

gaia path oc: she’s a cis (she/her) pansexual woman and an elementary school teacher. her roommates are levi, athena, and callum. is devastated by breakup with rainn and is finding it hard to stay optimistic, but needs to be for the kids. i think she would empathize with rainn particularly with how stressed he was but cannot see past the lack of communication… just wants to get over it. otherwise a pretty bubbly person. awaiting gaia’s official introduction but i think i see her being who she’s most drawn to, she’s read the book and didn’t like it. mona is her ex best friend.
