in general it feels like the sonic fandom is always taking aspects of knuckles' personality and character and relationship with sonic and giving them to shadow instead and acting like knuckles doesnt exist its so tragic to see

#I keep giggling looking at my friend's drawing of Shadow Milk #a stand in for pf I haven't finished yet #now I'm literally just hugging Sparkle plushie I get why people collect those #ALSO tbob is hereeee #literally sitting and lying down surrounded by chaos sillies #I don't have a type I don't but then I kind of have merch... and mostly for only them #also I need to draw Shadow Milk as some of the tbob pages or at least things from there bc they fit #sadly I don't have Flowey as pf rn (I had like 3 and all are lost by now)#Bill is hidden in another book I have and I'm not taking him out #but yay #this marks my Gravity Falls collection basically fully complete as it is with the only thing missing being the retellings of the show #and the coloring book is.... somewhere idk where but SOMEWHERE I sure had it #for the first merch I really really wanted GF is most satisfying to collect #I don't count MLP though! I didn't have nearly as many things for mlp I did have a lot of them but not too much #GF on the other hand was in my life in every period of my life somehow #like if me from 2017 saw just what I have rn they would've been sooo jealous but extremely happy #bc that same teen got Journal 3 as a gift and immediately read it because I had literally no spoilers for it #and even though I've read EVERY spoiler possible for tbob last July-August holding it in my hands is an experience #like some of the things just WORK better when you have the book itself instead of just a photo or something #it's also better since it's well in your hands as a book instead of just scrolling in the internet or something #it's also the most Bill had continuing “screen time” in any GF media if we don't include the AMA the AMA was somewhat similar #again if teen me would've been jealous kid me would've probably screamed that this thing exists #I have never been normal about this particular show despite never posting about it as a kid #since well. I was a kid I wanted to keep to myself and enjoy in peace since I was still a pre-teen or teen #and also this specific book and the fixation it started saved my second summer camp fun #anyway plush Sparkle is the softest I missed the feel of getting new plushies

more Cadmus gripe time because I just finished the last boy on earth arc and ughhhh SB was so devastated to return home and find everyone gone, and we saw that Roxy spent weeks trying so hard to find him when everyone else said he was gone and good riddance, she even found Robin's number and asked Batman for help, she even went to see if Knockout knew anything, and everyone at Cadmus knows this- and when SB comes back from spending months as an amnesiac captive and wants so badly to see his friends again, they don't use their incredible resources to track down Roxy and help reunite them, they take him to Paris and claim it's because giving him a new scenery and something to hit will do him good and get his mind off it, but then it turns out they just want to field test him and get him to work for them. SB going from being exploited by Leech to exploited by Cadmus is bridged by a story where he's literally stripped of all agency and the ability to speak for himself and I'm going to scream.

#clark come get your boy #no really im gonna have to dig through triangle era to find out what Clark was doing at the same time because clearly Roxy was reaching out #to EVERYONE #and she met Superman before! she's part of the reason the whole situation was set up! she 'sold' him back his copyright for a dollar and he #gets it #honestly I'm gonna have to throw an idea on the list:#'Roxy gets through every option and is so fed up she goes outside and screams for Superman until he shows up because she's tried so hard to #find SB otherwise and if Superman can't do it then no one can. but if he can...'#and this can be when Clark realizes that SB literally does not have a name yet #and his hopes that SB has been able to figure out his own life and wants outside of his shadow have not been realized #and his 'find the perfect kryptonian name to offer him' has been bumped up on his to do list #right under 'find out wherever the hell he is'#because ugh ok so guardian had that line about being in Paris to punch things being good for SB #and i was going to scream because doesn't this man have the memory of raising five teenage boys. how's he as bad at this as he is basic #morality when it comes to having a spine vis a vis what Westfield does #but thennnnn they reveal the Cadmus job offer #and I was like 'oh of course. no. it's the exact same morality put aside for What Cadmus Decides It Needs'#I'm gonna go on a mae like rampage and burn that whole place down... anyway #they don't even see him as a boy. he talks about how he's stuck as a boy and how he feels like he's the last boy on earth and they hear him!#and they don't even see him as a boy. 'considered an emancipated minor' (by who? what paper says that? does he have a birth certificate? bc #i know it's a thing later that none of the other Cadmus clones have legal personhood until guardian wants to adopt a child who actually does #his only names are superBOY and kid but he's not treated like a kid not a boy not a child just a commodity #Kal's the last son of krypton and Kon's only called 'son' by people holding him captive (henshaw‚ westfield‚ etc)#Roxy i need you to go get Clark Clark i need you to come get your boyyyyy

i don't think i'll ever get over / lose my desire to keep my life and possessions as simple as possible but i do long for the day where minimalism will be a personal lifestyle preference and not a way to brace for the worst

#sometimes i see glimpses of the life i want to lead #most of the time i just fall into thought exercises that are basically pre mourning my stuff #atm i'm just frustrated. i want to build a proper gaming pc because my laptop is turning 5 this year and you can feel it #but a desktop is a large and unwieldy thing that is like a pet to me #i need to feel confident i'll be living in the same place for as long as i need to yknow?#but ugh i just got solar ash which has been on my wishlist for ages and it runs so poorly in this machine...#it's not the first indie game i struggle with; hell threshold and mouthwashing were kinda wack #ughhhh. solar ash is performing well enough #excited to play more. i didn't know it was a shadow of the colossus like (?)#much much more fast paced though. roller skating parkour sotc #idk i played just twenty minutes. it's just that the first boss is large and you walk on it hitting weak spots

I don't know if this is a hot take but halsin is hands down the worst companion and that could be easily solved by having him join you at the beginning of act 2 and giving him literally anything to do in act 3 except hit on you

#his pacing is all fucked up. why does he only join your party once you're basically done with his quest #like when he didn't join my party once he joined my camp I was like okay makes sense I guess #like I still went and met the hag and to the gith creche and fucked around in the underdark and stuff #he had no reason to join me #then we went to the shadow cursed lands so I went to camp to talk to him and still nothing. okay whatever let's keep going #then at last light inn I talked to the fist guy and then talked to halsin and he was like oh I'll meet you there #and I was like that's it. the moment he joins the party to try and solve this thing #no!!! still just sending me out to di his errands #like by the time he joins you the only thing left from his plotline is the oliver thing #after that he just hangs ariynd and talks abt nature like butch I'm a druid too get a goddamn personality #also doesn't help that you recruit him around the same time a jaheira who's also an old wise druid #but has a much more interesting and fun personality and an actual fun plotline and quest in act 3 #like having her really just makes it more obvious halsin has nothing going on #and like his romance would also work way better and not feels so out of nowhere if he joined you earlier #cause the way it is now it feels so out of the blue like you joined my party yesterday why are you already trynna fuck #have some couth

Oh god is my fnafhs phase coming back. I have an AU Idea and it's very magical girl-y help (a Lil summary in the tags)

#basically y'know lily abby maggie toddy and mai? all the best girls? (ok except Abby maybe but I'll save her dw)#ok now imagine them as teen magical girls #a normal 2000's/2010's bff group who also kick ass in pretty dresses #now imagine mai and puppet being magical beings from another planet #kinda like the winx club characters that look completely human but they're fairies n stuff? there's a reason why the twins can look like-#Normal humans tho: their true form is a being like Maipett. they're two maipetts #BUT they can shapeshift to look just like any living beings they see #so they can very easily blend in with humans #now what are these beings? basically they're magical dudes that control the “Shadows”. evil spirits that can destroy life in pretty much-#any abitated planet in irreversible ways #one day some shadows breached from the maipetts control and directed themselves to earth as it was the closest living planet #so mai and Charlie as the strongest most able shadowseekers (group of specialized Maipetts with the mission to bring back Shadows to-#security in case of breaching) got a mission to go to earth find the shadows and bring them back. even destroy them if necessary #now what's the group mentioned earlier have to do with all this?#after saving lily from a shadow attack her and mai become “friends” (keep in mind Mai doesn't really know what friends even are)#but with time they do become very close #and since the shadows are never way too far from each other meaning that other shadows might be hiding in the same town Mai wanted to keep-#Lily safe. so she gave her a tiny rock that contains Maipett powers (Mai likes to keep them on her belt for decoration) and showed her-#basic attacks to at least keep Lily safe in case she gets attacked by a shadow and Mai happens to not be there #after a while tho Abby (Lily's roommate and childhood friend) finds out about her friends' powers and she thinks it's soo cool and things #but Lily and Mai especially aren't so cool about it cus pretty much all the situation is supposed to be a secret #so they and abby make a promise: Abby gets a magical gem and of course some lessons how to use it's powers and she keeps the secret #Abby agrees and she joins the group (that remains unnamed until the others join)#Toddy and Maggi were found by Charlie in the meantime. Charlie saved them both from a shadow attack and so Mai decided to give them-#magical rocks aswell with the deal that Charlie was the one to teach them about their powers this time #Toddy decides to name the group “The Shadowseekers” to reference mai and Charlie's literal job #and yeah they go on adventures around the city™ and sorroundings beating shadow's ass and learning to use their powers and work together #while also keeping the secret #idk it came up to me like some minutes ago #fnafhs

it kind of bugs me when people say sonics relationships with shadow and knuckles (whether its in a shipping context or in canon) are exactly the same because like . no..?. theyre not ? i mean yeah theres similarities between shadow and knuckles and theyre both rivals to sonic. but they still have different personalities and different dynamics with sonic even if they can both be described as rivalry. i cant properly explain what the difference is because im tired rn and also bad at words but you know
