im actually not sure if you mean if i as a person was in jjk as a character or which jjk character would i be, the later is definitely uraume, my entire personality is about being the reincarnation of uraume, or at the very least, come extremely close to it hahaha i wouldn't want to be anyone else but them in jjk, especially in the heian era, i always imagine it being rather peaceful, besides all the fighting and killing they were doing lmaooo, only having one singular person and not having to deal with anyone else sounds like the absolute dream to me

if i was in jjk i would very much like to be uraume's doormat lol but besides that, i would definitely be a curse user, i hate sorcerers so fkn much, i would love to be some sort of assistant to sukuna and uraume ngl but them having a third person kinda defeats the purpose of their relationship to me lmaoo maybe i would open a cult for them, i would probably be like yorozu to sukuna but to uraume instead hahah if they had other servants back in the heian era i would be one of these, definitely

The first character I first fell in love with: 

This might be a surprise to some people, but I actually was a Megumi fan when I first got into JJK 3 years ago. I always gravitate towards the dark-haired, moody, reserved guy in media lol, so of course I would end up liking Megumi. But then I met Nanami and he got bumped down. Sorry! I still like Megumi though, he's definitely a top 5 JJK character for me.

I'm putting the rest under a read more because this is really long.

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: 

Hmm, I guess I would say Yuuta for this one. Not that I didn't think I wouldn't like him as a character, but he definitely jumped higher on my list after I read/watched JJK 0.

The character everyone else loves that I don’t: 

During season 1 I would've said Todo, because he seemed like one of those meathead frat boy type of guys, but he grew on me during Shibuya Incident as a source of inspiration for Yuuji, and in the more recent chapters of the manga.

But now, I would say Toji. Objectively speaking, he has a complicated history that seems interesting, and he's also attractive, but also he's a deadbeat dad who tried to sell his son to the Zen'in clan, and I can't really find any justification for that. Him sacrificing himself for Megumi in Shibuya is quite emotional, but I don't think it makes up for abandoning Megumi. Maybe it's just a personal issue for me lol.

The character I love that everyone else hates: 

I could joke and say Megumi for this one, but I'm gonna go with Mahito. He's a really compelling villain character and served as a foil to Yuuji in terms of philosophy regarding humanity. And him being the one to kill Nanami and Nobara, as his final acts as a cursed spirit, really impacted Yuuji and left a permanent mark on him.

The character I used to love but don’t any longer:

I wouldn't say I loved Mei Mei, but I liked her enough as an example of a morally-gray character, someone who only looks out for herself. But then Gege showed us where she disappeared to during the Shibuya Incident and THAT whole scene was really disturbing to me and from that moment on, I wanted to erase her from my memory. We really didn't need to see THAT to get the impression that she's greedy and has secrets and all that. It was enough of an example of her taking bribes from Gojo to have the students being promoted and all that.

The character I would totally smooch: 

Hehe, well, I think it's obvious I wanna smooch Nanami and Choso, but would it be weird if I also said Heian Sukuna? Also, Kashimo (old man or reincarnated is fine with me hehe). I would also say Shoko, but she's a smoker and I don't really like the smell of cigarette smoke, sorry. She has a gf anyway.

The character I’d want to be like: 

I really want to be like Nanami in the sense of being a mentor to the next generation, and also like Choso in being the best older sibling.

The character I’d slap: 

Fuck ass Mei Mei lol. If Mei Mei has no haters, then I am dead.

A pairing that I love:

ItaFushi my beloved! The angst, the devotion, it's just so peak tragic yaoi. I've already said what I like about them as a ship, so I won't write a long ass paragraph, but I still have some hope for them, unlike with SatoSugu. I also like Haibara/Nanami and Yuuta/Toge as my top 3 JJK ships.

A pairing that I despise: 

*looks at the long list of ships I dislike/hate* Uhh... well, besides the incest and adult/minor ships, I REALLY hate Nanami/Mei Mei, which is something I've seen on twt a few times and it made me wanna rip the flesh off my bones. They are the antithesis of each other, Nanami who's so selfless and kind-hearted and protects children vs MM who's so greedy and selfish and is a danger to her younger brother, not just because she's a weirdo but also because she uses him for his Cursed Technique. They would never work as a ship, and it really irks me how she's the one who gave Nanami the idea for "going south".

I recently saw a comment saying Sukuna is Megumi's Mahito, and y'know what it makes sense! After everything, I think Megumi has more beef with Sukuna now than Yuji does.

Right! And this goes back to those parallels... I'm going to let the boss indirectly answer this one tho: Spooky's thoughts on the topic.

What I'll add to the topic is the depth psych perspective--I taco'bout it under the cut.

I haven't read Spooky's meta yet, and Spooky might have already mentioned this but... if I remember correctly, the outcome of Yuji vs. Mahito ended up being an acknowledgement of them being the same.

Sort of like Yuji acknowledged he was no better than Mahito's hate for humanity. That's what I understood of this but I could really use another read to deepen my understanding.

Anyways, all that to say that, part of the goal of the bath, is to marinate Megumi in cursed energy to have him be near "evil", right?

To me this feels like Megumi has to face and confront and accept inner-evil the way Yuji had to confront his own hatred. This is especially poignant for Megumi because he's someone who rejects good and evil in himself and others. So this is defo part of the growth he needs to achieve: to bridge opposites.

SO... Megumi has big time beef with Sukuna because of everything that has happened, yes.

AND, Megumi also killed others without regard for them. We can use the self-defense argument all we want to sugar coat it, but it doesn't change the fact that it was a choice made in the name of self-preservation.

Also, the way Megumi was so blasé about killing Reggie always unnerved me. Almost like he had to turn away from his humanity to be able to kill someone and not have this act disrupt his ego the way it happened to Yuji. To me this comes back to the idea of being self-sufficient that Sukuna talks about in ch 236.

The only way you can kill others so easily is if you have no regard for their life to begin with; either because you see yourself as separate from them and/or because acknowledging their value is to love them (??).

So I feel like this idea that Sukuna is Megumi's Mahito probably comes back around to the mindset that the characters have, and how Sukuna's turning away from love might be his own downfall precisely because of his over-identification with his sense of self.

Something like that lol.

JJK Thoughts~

I just finished binging JJK, and I have to say, that it wasn't till like Sea2 that I actually started to click with this show, but now I think I'm here to stay! :D Here's just some general thoughts.

BTW idk if I'll start reading the manga or if I'll be anime only, but plz don't spoil anything past Sea2!! I also know of a movie, which I will be watching sometime this week, so no spoilers!

FIRST OF ALL, Mappa's animation is freaking insaaane, ESPECIALLY the battles, they're eyecandy!! 💕💕 My wholehearted respects to all the animators, esp hearing the studio issues. About the production, is it just me or was Sea1 lacking in some regards? The animation is just fine, but the way characters deliver lines, some really awkward pauses (or too short), the music being a hit or miss (like suddenly being intense for no reason, little/no build up, just doesn't fit the mood?). The genre they picked was good, but I think it could've been done better? Idk but it was a struggle to stay immersed at times, though it might just be me being picky. Sea2 was sooo much better in all regards to the point where the difference is hella noticeable. Side tangent, but the OP's all slap, my favorites in order would be 4, 1, 3, and 2!! ED's are so sweet too!!

Okie now story, (mostly) spoiler free! Though I think the main trio (Yuji, Nobara, Megumi) wasn't the strongest bond-wise, at least in Sea1, I really grew to love all their dynamics-- and I will say they really made me feel the feels later 😭 They're so siblings-coded I LOVE THEM! Idk where I'd rank Yuji in fav MC's because other than being good at fights, early on he was a little flat (to me) character-wise. Anyways, Sea2 gave him a massive boost in my eyes, def made up for that. He's so nuanced now, and I can't wait to see where his story goes! I hope there's hope of something with Nobara, and I'm super intrigued with Megumi's story progression!! Um, Nanami, top 3 probably. I think I adore him (platonically). Iykyk 💔 The classmates all left a decent impression on me, though I will say I don't think they're too prominent, so lowkey kept forgetting most 😅 Maki is best girl tho, 100%. I love Miwa, I eventually liked Mechamaru (ship? 👀), Panda is Panda, Todo always comes in clutch even if I'm ~eh~ on him, and basically I wanna see a little more of everyone! And I miss Junpei 🥲

I will say though, the very heart of this show are definitely the villains!! The type you hate and love to hate because they're that good (bad?). Mahito is a damn menace and loves being a menace- idek how bro keeps dodging death, even avoiding a swing from Gojo, but MAN. I hate him. Jogo is so interesting because he has so much potential, but is so freaking ridiculous sometimes, but then I lowkey understand the grind he wanna be on, so yknow kudos to him. I can see him as a fan favorite. Hanami was ok, definitely weaker in my eyes, but they left a good impression for their dynamic in the group. Choso idk what to think about him but I might like him?? His little intervention in the final episodes really left me w questions, so I'm hooked. I won't say I love him but he has potential to shoot up to my favs! TOJI!!! Talk about an antagonist that legit made me punch the air AKDHDLAL HE'S SO GOOD. I honestly got scared for everyone in his near vicinity bc that guy is unstoppable, and even though I'm supposed to dislike him, again, bros on a destructive grind and I respect that. (Pull up Zen'in clan 😤)

Alright, so uh, the big three eh? Gojo, Geto, Sukuna. I'LL ADD SPOILERS HERE. I love how this world is set up revolving around the fact that since Gojo is "the strongest," he bears the weight of responsibility the hardest amongst sorcerers for failures and accomplishments. I don't blame him for wanting to turn against the system that put them all in that spot in the first place. Lowkey his development between seeing everyone as lesser in his past, to now (still arrogant smtimes) wanting his pupils to join him in that title as strongest. Yeah, he's an OP character, so what. I can see why he's a fan favorite on story alone. He acts self-centered, but after knowing his story, I can see how he fakes it, what he really wants to achieve, and how he's grown to care for others. Idk where his story goes from here, but I'm definitely ready for more Gojo. Okie, GETO! What an interesting villain?? Legit took the best-friend-turn-evil trope and added one tragic spin to it AAAAH. His past friendship and playful rivalry with Gojo made his change of ideals (I totally feel like there was power jealousy btw) so much more impactful. Gojo starting off as the one who didn't care too much for others while Geto wanted to save people, switching over so Gojo wanted to find/make people just as strong to protect others while Geto, feeling left behind, found no point in saving humanity and their struggles. It's too good!? I think there's a hint real-Geto's not gone completely, but I also don't think he's actually coming back, as sweet as that'd be. I feel like there is backstory missing (the movie maybe?) so I'll try to see what or if I'm missing anything on my own. Finally Sukuna, and man what a way to depict an OP freaking villain! Like ok, sometimes it was hard to take him seriously, being over the top and all, but I love how rare his actual interventions are. It makes you give your complete attention to him when he does, wondering what the heck he'll do next. Also, his conversation with Jogo added a new layer to him that I liked, with respecting even Jogo of all people. I haven't seen many protag/antag dynamics like Yuji and Sukuna before, but I'm so intruiged in how long they're gonna keep up this switching thing? Sukuna must desire his freedom after all. I love how he presents himself, and how terrified people are of him, though it wasn't till Sea2 that I feel like he was finally able to show us how he can back up that presence with real power. I cannot lie, I lowkey fangirled at those scenes (bro literally forced a movie screen aspect ratio lmaooo) and also thinking how they actual heck anyone is supposed to beat him 😭 I dun think Yuji's fists are enough, and I'm lowkey concerned whether even Gojo could take him on. Like, yeah Gojo's the strongest, but Sukuna just nuked a city ez bro. Beautiful presentation on how to actually make your villains, well villains. :]

Erm, overall, I think I finally came around to really liking this series, despite the rocky start with Sea1. The power system is cool once I finally figured out the terms, it's got endearing characters that I wish I could save (😭), and cool tropes and story I wanna see the resolution for. I'll probably be mulling over this show more in the coming weeks, so prepare for that! 🫡 I'll be watching the movie and making my mind up for the manga or anime soon. I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE MORE, THANKS FOR READING.

It's Yuji's love for others. His belief in their right to live, even if they aren't what others would consider 'good people', in direct contrast to Megumi's philosophy on saving people. Yuji has low regard for his own life, but he shows up to hang out with his grandpa at the hospital. He hangs out with the 'weirdos' in the Occult Club, and tries to help people he doesn't know (Tadashi, the juvie-prisoner, and Junpei). Does he have some selfish motivations for those? Sure. But he'll do right by the people around him. Even at the cost of his safety. Even at the cost of his life.

Even if they're terrible people. Up until they start being an active danger to others, anyways (MAHITO, lmao, as well as other Cursed and humans; especially with Curses, he starts really giving them more emotional weight after Eso and Kechizu).

Sukuna hates Yuji primarily for being his jail and warden both--for taking away his freedom, and for chances of escape being purely that: up to chance. If it's up to Yuji, Yuji will always choose to stop Sukuna from living the way he wants (and hurting whomever Sukuna deems worth hurting), if he even gets the chance to live at all. That Yuji is a genuinely good soul, less powerful and less wise, less intelligent? Well, that's just the icing on the shit cake.

Sukuna desperately does not want to be confined to Yuji's whims. But he doesn't show fear. He displays hate instead.

Who knew that you could curse the King of Curses?

i'm sorry, but i love him. it took me about a year and a half to reach this conclusion -- i once hated his guts too, and i don't at all blame anyone who loathes him. y'all are totally valid. he's so, so hateable.

defending myself below cut. i have good reasons, i promise.

so why did i change my mind? okay. he's just so interesting. he's one of the most well-written villains i've ever encountered in media. it's hard to write an "evil just for fun" villain and make them compelling, but with mahito, gege absolutely succeeded. there are layers to it, in a way i've never seen written before.

he truly united almost the entire fandom against him. he fucked up so much in the story: junpei, mechamaru, nanami, nobara. his impact was insane. even beyond named characters, no body count even scratches his. towards the end, he was so brokenly powerful. i don't think kenjaku could've hoped to take him in if he weren't basically on the brink of death. even his final words are lashing out at his own ally, saying he always knew the end. yet he still did everything anyway.

honestly, as always, i'll keep most of my negative opinions to myself, but i really think every other jjk villain since shibuya looks like a joke next to him. he's my favorite jjk villain by so much it's almost funny. even sukuna and kenjaku don't reach his level for me. 

sure, their impact on the story has obviously been pivotal. i've definitely had some strong emotional reactions to things they've done, but i want to see more emotions from them. what have we seen from sukuna? pretty much just rage, annoyance, and cruelty? uh, okay. and kenjaku has never shown anything more than vaguely amused indifference. he just can't incite an emotional reaction from me with that. what are their motives? what are their ideals?

yeah, i'm sure i'm missing a lot of themes or whatever with them, but i really don't flip over sukuna (hopefully that'll change...) and i never want to think about kenjaku more than i absolutely have to.

in contrast, mahito's emotions are so human, so complex. he has the widest range of emotion of any jjk villain. mahito's ideals are concise and an incredible foil for yuuji's. take this speech of his in shibuya:

"I bet you thought you were gonna do some pest control! Or ghost exterminations like in some make-believe story! You came to Shibuya with half-assed determination didn‘t ya?! How naive, you stupid brat! This is war! Not a battle to fix what‘s wrong! But a clash of truths! You and your fragile justice! You are me, Yuuji Itadori! I kill without a second thought, just like you save people without a second thought! The instincts of a curse against the so-called dignity obtained by human reason! It‘s a battle to determine who will be left standing in a hundred years! How the hell did you think you were gonna beat me when you don‘t even realize that? Tell me, Yuuji Itadori, have you ever stopped to count how many curses you‘ve killed? No, right? Me neither, me neither!"

this is insane. are you kidding me? are you kidding me. this is so fucking metal. he studies humans because they fascinate him: he reads books, watches movies, familiarizes himself with folklore and religions. yet despite that, he still sees humans as having no worth. their lives mean nothing to him. but his fixation on yuuji, his cognizance of their nature as character foils, proves how much grasp he has on human emotional depth.

i wish there was a better word for it, but he cared about yuuji: obviously not in the traditional positive, warm, affectionate sense, but in that he viewed yuuji as important to himself, his own ideals, and his own growth. if given more time, i think his emotional range towards humans could have become even wider.

conversely, as it stands at the end, curses do have worth to him. he helps a wounded hanami back to the base. this incredible post talks about how jogo is almost a father figure to him (and it's great mahito meta, too). i wish what that meta writer talked about came true. he left the story far, far too soon. i miss him so goddamn much. there's a gaping hole in the cast now that no other character can hope to fill.

i honestly can't wait to write more of him. tpg mahito's arc is literally insane, and honestly one of my favorites in the entire story. i seriously can't wait. i'd never try to make anyone like or root for him -- he's a villain, and always will be. but i want people to feel compelled in the same way i do. i'm missing so much in this analysis; i feel like i've barely scratched the surface.

mahito. his name means true human, by the way. if you think i'm not going to explore every aspect of that, you're in for a wild ride.

if you cave in, he'll keep you there with him, but you're a lot more distant from one another. he finds it hard to trust again when you've almost slipped through his fingers like smoke

A yuji itadori x reader fic

As Yuji watched you run away, he felt as if the world stopped. Like time had finally slowed down. He could faintly hear Sukuna laughing at him, making fun of him on how he made you run away. 

Someone he liked.

He made you run away.

But he couldn't understand, he could only see you running away from him. Looking back at him with glossy eyes. The tears falling down your face. 

He brought his fingers up to his lips. He could still feel that kiss. The way you were shocked and flinched away before putting your hand on the back of his head and getting more into it. Maybe if he didn't rush it, you wouldn't have run away. 

But he couldn't think about that right now, he needed to find Gojo. Grell in your mind. Yuji got up from leaning on his hands and started to run back to the dorms. He could still hear Sukuna laughing at him like he did with Mahito. He couldn't think about that right now though, he needed to get to Gojo. 

After he made it to the dorms, he slammed open all the doors looking for the white-haired man. he didn't open the doors that had his classmates were in so he wouldn't get scolded. When you opened all the doors, he realized that Gojo wasn't there. 

He's not there

Yuji ran to the nurse's office to see if he was with Shoko. He opened the door open and saw the brunette women with a cigarette in her mouth talking the white-haired man he needed. Both of them looked at him with concern, he could see Shoko blow out some smoke before letting it die away and putting the cigarette in an ash tray. 

But he didn't care about her. He wanted his teacher. Satoru Gojo.

He swiftly walked over to him and the collar of his shirt and pulling him down to his level before yelling right in his face. 

Why he didn't tell you

Gojo was trying to pry his hands off of him, but it was useless. Yuji strength from Sukuna, and him not wanting to hurt Yuji got in the way of everything. 

So, he let the first year let it all out. He let Yuji yell in his face, punch him, kick him, and cry.

Cry about how he wanted to be with you.

Gojo understood what happened though.

You found out.

It shouldn't be a shocker since it is your body, and the cursed energy is leaving you, but he still doesn't want to believe it was happening. No one in that room did.

No one could see the few tears Gojo let out that night while holding a screaming first year.

I knew I couldn't go back to my room without someone hearing me sob, so I went on top of the roof. It was a spot me and Utahime would always go to get away from the nagging of the strongest sorcerer. She would always drink and complain, sometimes being quiet, while I just looked at the clouds or stars. Pointing out what shape I saw and making a dumb story about it. 

But she wasn't here now. She was in Kyoto with her students and not some kid that was close to someone she hated. I knew she at least tried to make a nice first impression for me but with Gojo and Geto there I could see it was hard for her.

Geto

Someone who was actually nice to me, who didn't give a shit what Gojo said or did. I could see the love in both their eyes, given I only saw him for a few weeks before he disappeared. I didn't even see him again when he fought Yuta Okkotsu and the rest of them, but I heard it was brutal. Maki told me what happened when I asked. Another thing I haven't told Gojo.  

Geto 

He left when I came along though. Maybe he didn't actually like me, or Gojo for that matter. Is that the type of love I'm destined with inmy future? Someone I thought I could trust, love, tell all my secrets to, but to have all of that used against me. Thats what my father went through anyway.

Father

Did I see Gojo as my father?

Could I?

We haven't told each other anything in what felt like forever. Did we even trust each other anymore? 

Yes. Yes, we trust each other. He sees me as his own child. But do I see him as my father.

Yuji

Man, I already miss him

But I have to deal with everything on my own.

Like oh my god I looked forward for so long to this reunion and you went above my expectations and then PH MY GPS LIKE I CANNOT GET OVER THIS CRUSHING WEIGHT I FEEL. The parable of the cave. CHOSO god I love him so much 🥰🥰 but okay the whole dream Sequence- geto being the moon and sukuna being the sun- god your mind!!!! At first I know for a fact 💯 that toji is suppose to be the 4th son coming to bring it all down. Or at least I thought so until we get to part 8. And god the way you write angst literally leaves me with a pit in my chest and the urge to yell at both of these characters. (2/4)

God this chapter left me spiraling. I love the way you portray the readers / tojis relationship. It feels as if it was doomed for the start- with toji thinking too big for the dreams he had had reader not thinking big enough. In a way there’s a balance but right now toji is not himself and cannot be the balance that the reader needs. Again you blew me away I can’t believe the odyssey is almost over 😔 Like this chapter left me speechless I feel as though my brain is scrambling to make sense of all the things toji has been though, the unresolved anguish the reader feels about him and the impending doom that is this new captain! I’m most definitely gonna do a little rereading to look over what I missed cause I could not put my phone down. -🥸

(also CHOSO....i mf love interlude 3 but let me tell u it took me like 10 years to write it because i wrote it, hated it, went on hiatus, and then rewrote completely differently later KSGJSG....but the line in part 8 when u go onto the ship that was like ‘even sound doesn’t echo off the walls’ or whatever was a line from my shitty version of interlude 3 RIP)

as for ur delightful guesswork i cannot confirm or deny anything in the spirit of leaving u all on ur toes but i really like the big brain activity going on here !!!!! we will eventually find out the answers to most of those things tho so sit tight 😌 (i decided not to publish that ask because some of it is pretty darn close so don’t tell SKGJSGS but also i feel that some of it is quite obvious RIP)

So Gojo.

Where do I even start with this guy?

I actually love him more than I thought I did.

(There’s manga spoilers under the cut)

Tbh, Gojo actually reminded me of my eccentric professors in art school haha.

Back then, I just thought he was cool. The hype behind his character when the anime came out sort of ruined him for me, but because of that, other characters like Nanami and Geto (hell, even Mahito) outshined him so I understand where you're coming from, anon, about lingering to his more shallow sides. I didn't really have a deeper grasp on his character until I reread Hidden Inventory Arc again, followed by Shibuya Arc (ಥ_ʖಥ) and then the Prequel. And well, retreading back to some various interpretations of his character from fics.

It sort of led me to realize: "Wow, he must be the loneliest guy ever."

And it just clicked for me there.

Arguably, Gojo still has his students and he does have friends, but they do rely on him a lot and he always takes it upon himself to let them rely on him, given how many times he's worked his ass off saving kids from executions and keeping things in order (to the best of his abilities at least, before ya know). 

Before, Gojo had Geto to rely on, but now there's no Geto. There's just him. Who does the strongest rely on when you are in fact who everyone relies on and strives to be? Who has surpassed his limits, overcome death, and tipped the balance of the world? 

All that power, that responsibility - it’s such a lonely place to be in. 

And what’s worse is that it doesn’t seem like he’s allowed to show instances of weakness/vulnerability because there are larger consequences if he does. (ft. Shibuya Arc)

But that isn't to say Gojo is miserable. Far from it, really. But I do think he doesn't know how to properly handle his emotions - his grief.

And that’s actually another thing.

For a someone who is undoubtedly the strongest, he mourns.

Gojo mourns for his losses and loses so, so much. 

Because of that, he does his best to protect what he can. Goes out of his way to make people stronger because he realizes that he can’t always save everyone, despite the impossible feats he has accomplished by himself. (Which is honestly such a great development and motivation for his character.)

Also: I get where Gojo is coming from by trying to raise a new generation of sorcerers to overthrow the old, rotten system, but I don’t fully support him on his methods lol. He’s kind of making himself into a bit of a hypocrite there by using the kids like that (you know, like the higher-ups you hate so much) but to be fair, he treats them better and he does genuinely care for them. (But, but, but-)

But I don’t mind: it makes him flawed. He’s done a lot of morally questionable things already, but not without reason.

And yet, I believe he’s a good guy. Still lacking a bit in empathy and may be unstable, but a good guy.

Here me out on this one.

This is an unpopular opinion: But I don't think Gojo is as much of an asshole as people like to paint him as. Sure, he messes with everyone. Oftentimes, he doesn't have a sense of boundaries and will go too far with his antics. He's someone who doesn't give a shit what anyone thinks about him, doesn't hold grudges too deeply, lacks tact with the way he talks and interacts with people. Doesn't excuse his behavior, but still.

This is the guy that went out of his way to search for the son of the man that almost killed him. That's willing to help a girl who's going to be erased in order for her to live a normal life. And this is HS!Gojo. The same bratty Gojo that gets flack for looking down on the weak. He could have, but you don't see him going down the genocide route to resolve his issues (I’m sorry for the shade Geto bby Ily but your plan’s whack).

Don't even get me started with the mischaracterizations and the bad takes about him being a narcissist or turning into the final villain or him getting neutered once he's free from the prison realm just because 'he's too OP' or some other reason like that. Sorry for the mini-rant, anon.

Anyways, yes. I believe he's a good person.

Lastly, another lovely thing about him is that Gojo sees the potential in people - his students, his friends. Despite growing up in a close-minded, conservative world, he acknowledges and doesn't underestimate Toji and Maki's strength despite the prejudice on Heavenly Restriction. He also acknowledges this in people like Yuji (despite being Sukuna's vessel) and Yuta (despite being cursed) who are supposed to be in death row because of the close-minded prejudices surrounding them. He is someone who values strength in different places. It also makes so much sense for his character, given what he's been through to be where he is now, and how it's very fitting for him to become a teacher, despite the eccentric way of teaching.

I could go on and on about Gojo. He's that much of a complex character, but I'll admit I'm more scattered writing meta than I am writing fiction so apologies if my thoughts went all over the place! These are just some highlight points I could explain, but I'd argue there's a lot more.

so i'm watching jjk (thanks to you) and the thing about sukuna is that we don't know anything about him, he's a blank page so far and the only thing going on for him is his good looks. and even those are not his. i just think this is really funny.

And yeah I agree! That’s really funny! I’m not at all up to date on the manga, so maybe we will learn more soon, but honestly for now he is just kind of ... there.

Okay so maybe it’s time to expose myself: Sukuna is probably my least character in the main cast so far, precisely because of what you just said. I don’t hate him or anything, but I just find him boring (for now, anyway). I don’t really get what the hype is all about. The thing that I like the most about him is his voice actor, who is just truly always going for it and having fun, but for the rest, I think he just isn’t my type.

To be fair, I think that it might also be because Yuji is my favourite character and so I’m always worried about him getting hurt whenever Sukuna shows up. There’s also the fact that, since they’re sharing the same body, whenever Sukuna takes over I feel like I’m losing some precious Yuji screentime (yes, this is very dumb I know, because Yuji has A LOT of screentime). I had the same problem with Ling and Greed in FMA.

But yeah, I mean like I said, I don’t hate him (or even dislike him really) but I don’t find him especially really cool or appealing. Maybe I’ll change my mind in the future though! :D 

And tbh I still kind of appreciate him in “he makes it really easy for me to bully him” kind of way. Like you said, so far we know nothing about him and we don’t even know how he looks like since he keeps stealing my boy Yuji’s looks XD at the end of the day, I think I just prefer chaotic feral gremlins like Mahito rather than overpowered confident cool guys like Sukuna.  

I might not vibe with him, but I respect and cherish all the people who love him, sukuna fans are sexy and valid and I hope that they all have a good day! :D

My other writing blog was fun when it started. I mostly wrote for anyone (jjk) people sent in. So y'know 99% Gojo, Nanami, Toji and Sukuna (this was even before Geto got popular so it was hardcore those four and that's it) and the 1% I spent writing about Mahito and the other curses. Which is where my dark content side really started bc I loved writing that/felt inspired. Where the other shit felt like a job.

But I hated writing for the popular characters. It was the same thing. Every. Single. Ask. Fucking I'd have 12 asks "Sukuna with a short s/o that he loves uwu" I fucking hated it. I hate ooc crap and mischaracterizations just so it can fit what someone wants (crack content is a thing, pls do enjoy it, I just personally don't enjoy it) And finally I took a 2 week break after a Kinkmas event and boom. I didn't want to write anymore. I just didn't want to keep doing it.

Which was shit bc this is my only hobby now due to covid + having a baby. So writing for me is my only outlet. I can't go out and even do normal "first time mom" things bc of the raging anxiety of getting my son, or my wife or my elderly grandma sick. So I've basically been stuck at home an entire year (it'll be an entire year around March 15th ish bc that's when we went into lockdown) and writing was the only hobby I could continue bc the rest involved, y'know, outside world things. So when I didn't want to write anymore honestly I felt like shit (I almost was tired of jjk too, I loved the show but running a blog for it made me hate it bc of the fans)

Well then i branched out to hq bc it's a definite comfort show to me and one of my favorites so I thought adding it would help inspire me to write again. Truthfully I expect this blog to flop bc I've seen almost no femdom content on tumblr. Like- I've seen more anti femdom content from blogs than I've seen femdom blogs.
